Another FREE ESCAPE for survivors ???

Are you srs ????

Deliverance:
After performing a safe hook rescue on another Survivor, the perk activates.
You now have a 100% chance to unhook yourself during the escape attempt.
A successful Deliverance from the hook triggers the Broken status effect for 100 seconds.

  • The perk is decent, but it is not a free escape. Not only is a bit situational, but also has considerable drawbacks (keep in mind the Broken effect means not being able to heal back up).
  • B-b-but killers can get rid of pallet looping instead! They just need to destroy 4 pallets, then the next pallet will break on their head! Still stunning them, though...

  • Yep. My prediction is, it will be meta as soon as the chapter releases.
The circle is complete. SC, DS, SB and now Deliverance. Will be the new meta.
Everything a survivor needs to be completely self sufficient.

The circle is complete, SATAN, DEUS, SIC TRANSIT GLORIAS MUNDI - OCHIDO CAN NOWE BE SUMMONED INTO OUR WORLD, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • If ever a perk promoted camping this is it.

  • As I said in an another topic about said perk:

Honestly, when I think about it, it doesn't change much.
They will be unhooked on their first stage anyway as soon as I leave the hook.
They are debuffed for some time, thus they cannot be instantly healed with We'll make it nor with Borrowed Time.

The only time it can be an issue when you slug few people, hook one and get another one and they kobe... well, it did happen multiple times with a RNG kobe, it wasn't much of an issue in most cases and will be even less with it.

Perk isn't as bad as DS, so no worries, it won't see meta plays, at least not as much as SB, SC or DS.

Honestly, all perks of the new survivor are... meh.

  • You have to unhook people BEFORE your first hook. So if you get ######### and found first, the perk will become useless.

  • Ohh and it will cause more gen rush.
SWF will equip this and the survivor on the hook will tell the others to keep doing gens. He will unhook himself right before struggling. No need to leave the gen to unhook.

That's the problem with SWF, not the perk itself.

Maybe in level 3 killer doesnt get stunned?

Well over 70% of all matches contain SWF, and the devs want to give solo survivors the same information lvl as SWF teams. Not sure if they implemented the Inbuild Kindred. Haven´t seen anything in the patch notes. But might have missed it.

  • I never use DS so while I might try this I usually run Detectives Hunch or Calm Spirit along with SC, SB, and PM. I'm planning on trying some other new perks like Lithe and Balanced as well in place of SB.

But the histrionics are hilarious from the same posters as usual, hasn't even been out being tested for a day and it's end of the world again.

Killers will stay closer to hooks now.
Not sure if survivors want that, but ok

    And you're complaining...because?

It's not DS. Also, not only is that getting a complete rework, deliverance applies a broken status effect for a considerable amount of time.

Also, not to mention how yet again a Killer gets top tier perks, and we're left with trash tier. (Deliverance is good atleast)

And from what I've played already, this Killer is really strong (not OP. dont mix the two)
They. Did. Good. On. This. Chapter. Fix your biased ego.

  • In reality, what it does is replace the need for a survivor to save you once IF you already unhooked someone, and only if you haven't already been hooked. Which as we all know, there's probably at least two of them sprinting over in a death race for the unhook points anyway.

And to boot, you can't heal for 100 seconds, whereas another survivor could heal you up in 6 with We'll Make It.

It's not terrible, but the instances where it's actually going to make a difference are very slim.

Could you elaborate on the top tier killer perks? I only see 1.

Rancor will be the perk to get the nerf hammer, IMO.

  • it's fine imo, it encourage more people to save rather than letting them die on the Hook

Survivors does needs some power perks, it's about time they get them, pretty much many of the new survivors all comes with trash perks

  • Rancor and Haunted Grounds with totally get nerfed before official launch, calling it now.

Are you kidding me? She has one perk that might be decent, Haunted Ground. Another is a perk that reveals her location when gens are done and the other breaks every 5th pallet. Sure one grants the Exposed status effect to an obsession but...so what? It's okay but certainly not top tier. Depending on how Spirit Fury scales to level III she might have 2 "Okay" perks and 1 "really good" perk, IMO.

Survivors are kind of in the same boat, with the exception of Deliverance. All three of the new survivor perks have proven quite useful. Maybe not "Meta" useful but I've enjoyed being a healing machine (40% faster after the easy 3 tokens) and the pebbles have actually helped with stealthing around quite a bit.

I'm not complaining: But the hex and pallet perks (Brain dead for name) will surely become meta like bamboozle. They give off interesting gameplay that really switch how things work. I actually love it.

Not the same for Survivors. I mean, none of this really changes the way things work except for DWM and Deliverance, but Deliverance is just a free unhook which something that's already easily done by fellow survivors.

  • It does look cool but it isn't because it is really situational.

    You shouldn't be found first.
    You should unhook somebody.
Unhooked person should not be downed easily, it should be a safe rescue.
If the killer doesn't camp you can get unhooked anyway. If the killer camps then even if you kobe, it will not matter.

Killer's perks are a lot better imo.

  • u cant imagine the blamewars coming with hyper OP deliverance perk lol

  • This content has been removed.
  • it looks good but remember that unlike ds you trade a phase on the hook and cant heal for a while, i mysel am using a kobe build and this perk is just great(on paper, i havent used it yet cuz console), i wont need 2 perks to be able to not die because my team didnt unhook me

  • Now people will want to camp more often, its such a troll perk people would constantly run it, especially in a SWF squad...

I already have bad enough luck with 7/10 games average 1 person gets off the hook, hell 3 weeks ago I was stomping a group with my nurse and 2 of them got off the hook. (That is the second time that has happened to me in the past 5 months) Wasn't it 4% chance?

Would love to know if values for chance change as you do better or not. Happens to often for me.

At least now I know more or less if its coming...

@brady How does the pallet perk scale? I have only seen level 1 and at level one it's straight up garbage. I'm assuming it scales to 4, 3, and then 2? Even then every 3rd pallet auto breaking? I dunno. Seems like Brutal Strength would still be the superior perk. I do like the Hex perk which means it'll get nerfed before the end of the PTB I'm sure.

It scales to 2, which it comes in handy at some point. it's good for loops which are extremely exploited as all know.

Yeah, I hope it doesn't get nerfed. If it does, it should only apply to the survivor who cleansed the totem. Even then, I found this perk isn't OP. It just adds more caution to gameplay. Something that needs encouraging.

  • It's the survivor's version of Bloodwarden. Very RNG and situational. It sucks TBH.

A 100% chance is RNG to you? LOL. Okay.

Yes dude, RNG in the situation you would use it. Think about it for 3 seconds before you jump to conclusions. If you're hooked first, it won't do you any good and now you basically run with 3 perks. If you haven't saved someone, you can't use it. If you managed to save someone and then get hooked, there is a high possibility other survivors are in the area that can unhook you. At that point, you don't want to kobe because you'll suffer a nasty debuff.

Sure it can be a game changer, but you're making it sound like it's some OP talent and it's not.

You do know that if you struggle off and the struggle would have put you into the struggle state, then your next hook will kill you?

So basically if someone waits until almost halfway, not only do they screw themselves for healing, but will also guaranteed die next hook. What's the issue?

Exactly. Some situations probably wouldnt even grant you to benefit from this perk. Seems very beneficial if used "properly"
