Stop trying to touch Self Care. It's not needing any adjustments, buffs and nerfs, at all.
-
We need more creativeness in this game, something that adds more personality or even more mystery. (?)
Great idea, and a 2 second timer would be great. It'd be a new taste of the wind to say.

Self Care is not a problem, at all. It's in the meta because it's a simple perk that has common sense to be in the game. And a great plus on actually being a lone wolf. You know, the way the devs originally intended this game would be like.Run without Self Care, at any given rank, and you'll see there isn't a that much of a difference at all. It just makes solo players less reliant on other players, and when you solo, that's something you know.. that's really nice. Stop trying to take that away.
"It'll prevent mindless actions like bodyblocking, etc" lol no it won't and it hasn't. I still bodyblock without Self Care, and so fourth.
And if you change Self Care, Bond's gonna be meta along with the possibility of Botany, Empathy, or Leader making it's way up there too. Give or take. Maybe even We'll Make It will become more meta too. And you know what that means?
Faster Heals, grouped up so faster gen rushes, and way more coordination due to everyone running Bond because Self Care wouldn't even be considered worth a perk slot.
Just my opinion.
healing in general needs to be limited imo
Really? That's a very unreasoning opinion.
survivors currently suffer no penalty for repeated injuries
even the devs have acknowledged this and want to change it, but its always shouted down by survivorsYes, they currently don't. And they shouldn't.
You lost the chase. You weren't able to keep LoS of the Survivor and broke off. You don;t deserve another easy down if you find them again, do you?
Self Care is not a problem and it never has been; playing without self care has no worries because it's simply as easy as finding the next survivor or finding a chest.
pretty disingenuous to claim that the only time a survivor gets injured is during a chase.
god forbid survivors aren't just able to take hits whenever they please and might actually have to think about how they engage the killer rather than just a brainless "I'm always invincible" mentality that they have now.
the devs themselves don't like this, but survivors who want to keep the game a bully simulator decry it every time. You assume that by tampering with Self-Care, it will end risks like bodyblocking.
Not. The. Case.
I'll even be your prime example. I will bodyblock even when I'm injured. I'm not that afraid; I know how to optimally lose a killer, take them on a wild goose chase while injured, or do gens and escape while injured. Not everyone is able to, and you shouldn't take away the most basic mechanic that has the most common sense, in the game.
It seems that the more in the future we go, the more EASIER everyone wants the Killer Side to be. Pallets are a problem, the length of a chase, and gen rushing. Not healing. Prioritize your concerns rather than picking at every single good thing a survivor has in this game. It needs a fair balance, Self care is fine. Use Nurse's, Use BBQ, Use your auditory senses to find survivors. If they healed up before you got to them, it means they deserved the heal.
Also I'll state it again, be careful what you wish for. Completely touching Self Care would switch the meta and you know what the better alternative to self care is? Bond. You know what Bond does? Faster heals, grouped up for gen rush, and also more increase in use of perks like leader, that will make everything faster. Be careful what you want.
You don't even know what gen rushing is if you think survivors should be grouped up for it
healing as a whole needs to be looked at100% survivor main, Rank 1 every season. I know what gen rushing is. Meaning, you rush the gens out as quickly as possible.
With what I was saying; shifting the meta would make gen rushing worse.
No, it really doesn't. I can't see your point because you give absolutely NO reasons as to why healing needs to be looked at. No points, no suggestions, nothing. You just say it's a problem without explaining HOW and WHY.
-
Nurse has been nerfed to the ground for a reason.
She is not being touched. She stands nicely where she is. She's the strongest Killer in the game.
-
Guys, the hit for hit aspect of pallets is unintentional
That's right, unintentional. Therefore, it's being adjusted. -
Will the design of loops (specifically pallets) ever be reworked or looked at to make them less boring and counteractive? On both survivor and killer gameplay? Considering they are the most complained mechanic in the game.
-
Pretty cool!
-
That BNP nerf was big, but due to how big it was, it needs to be a Very Rare add-on and not Ultra Rare. And they need to think of Ultra Rare items that aren't insta-whatever like the Rainbow map and Skeleton key.

Its a one time use for you, but not for the Killer.
In the high red ranks its a meta perk, its not rare to face 4 of those.Actually, since 2.10, I never have had a team where all 3 of the other survivors use DS. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it's certainly not as common anymore. Just from my own observations.
Regardless, nerf.

NoED, Leatherface, iridescent hatches, and Michaels unlimited EW3, hell even judith's tombstone, all are "hard working" methods? Yeah, okay. Hatchets and NoED ill give you that because skill to aim and noed ez counter
Though instaheals are rewarding without punishment I acknowledge, are only a problem when you see more than 2 of them.
-
Insta heals are only a problem when coming across four of them. Perhaps in SWF, limit the use of certain items and add ons? Such as instaheals, etc. Or even only allow 1 in SWF? I don't know.

I was, and was able to get 10% of the margaritas needed before I went back to playing other games. It doesn't matter in terms of this event, in my eyes, due to how lackluster the survivor cosmetic really is.

Last time I heard, they were working on implementing a "Ladder system" which will maybe add a new way to rank and hopefully be more competitive for all those who crave such a thing.
Perhaps even...a reward or some kind of incentive will also be included....but who knows. The problem with the Ladder system they claim they're going to introduce, it's going to make streamers more popular due to their playtime and it being their literal job. It's problematic. it won't be a scale of skill, it will show who plays this game the most. They need to create a whole new ranking system that supports competitive play, especially on skill.
In the current state of the game too, I would be very satisfied if the competitive ranking of this game excluded SWF. Solos only. Then it'd be real skill and ranking would feel more legitimate. Look at Smite, they changed it to no parties allowed, solo only. You can see the improvements on competitive play.
Again, looks like their eyes are on precious net income and not the mechanics and core gameplay itself. Mid-chapter patches are nice and consistent, but if there's THAT many problems with the game they need to look into the coding itself and how horrid this spaghetti code is, how horrible the mechanic of the pallet placement in a loop. And we don't need offended devs because it's well known spaghetti code should never be used in the first place. It's why every patch that comes out is fixing a bug, creates a new one and it's a repetitive process.
Hope, h o p e, for this game. Afterall, nobody would be playing it if it wasn't an amazing game.

Take it easy man.See how stupid that sounds? That’s what you sound like when you say Killers are cowards for dodging SWF. SWF offers so many advantages, playing Killer against that, it’s like playing poker against someone who stacks the deck.
Hey, good point. Thanks for giving me some retrospective! I'm a solo player, but I can see when I'm matched with SWF groups of how frustrating it must be for Killers.
How do you feel about games with a 4 man solo lobby? How are those? :P
-
Rank 1 = you play this game frequently and for long periods of time. No difference in rank otherwise.
I agree, can we PLEASE have separation from ranked and casual? Look at Smite, they do that and rules are different in Competitive.
Someone who was Platinum in Overwatch for the first competitive season playing too, the separation really matters. It's not toxic at all like people claim.
We need a complete huge overhaul on some things like loops and ranking, but hey, new dlc in a few weeks. Guess that's more important?
-
You guys should give more appreciation of how Queen stands up for both sides. She's a very positive influence. She always doesn't use meta at all, and she plays Killer ontop of it.
I got to agree, it seems like they don't fully immerse themselves into the game like Queen does, and that's problematic. Especially in such a competitive atmosphere.
-
Survivors with passives, that aren't game breaking the least bit. Like a very tiny buff personal to the survivor, but something that'll make it useful and unique atleast
-

Doesnt affect me because I play on PC.
However, from my own experience playing killer I feel really bad for the beginner killers on playstation who have to deal with horrible FPS, controller input and bullying survivors like ochido.I honestly hope that PS killers die out and they are left with a large survivor main community crying about queue time. Maybe this can bring the devs into balancing the game a slightly more, all platforms would profit from that
And disconnecting is common now on all platforms. This ######### happens when DCing isnt punished, I just hope that devs wake up and introduce queue time punishment soon
PS4 isn't as bad as PC, by the way. Even SWF groups you don't come accross them like you do on PC. Soooo... Stop finding excuses for your biased preaching all over these forums.
I feel bad for you guys though, thankfully I switched back to PC again in time before it was all free, so I'm set

Would be pretty neat, actually. Or just right click (some other button on console) to "favourite" it and automatically stick those at the front. That way they're always on the first page.Would also be nice to have build presets, so you can switch between completely different builds on the fly.
That's an amazing idea, it'd be nice to be able to name them too so it's easier than scrolling through. Like Generic, Gens, Chases, Stealth, etc. It'd be cool and a nice easy access,
-
Also, can I just mention of how Kindred is an extremely beneficial perk, that's worth a perk slot and not base kit. When someone is hooked, not only do I know my whole teams position, but if someone was in a chase, the killers as well. Unless they camp, but even then it'd turn into a SWF fiasco of coordination minus the toxicity (I assume, as solo not many solos have bm) but it'd definitely enhance gameplay for survivors.
It's just, I see their point, but is there seriously no way to nerf SWF instead of buffing the hell out of them?

Personally I find that the hook save event is plenty scary for new players. Seeing a friend hanging bloody from a meat hook as pounding a heartbeat draws near will make plenty newer players scared.** This being said, they'll never go for the save if they think someone else is going for it. **Dude I don't know what your end game is ; believing survivors should all be super strong like SWF, but let's be real for a moment. Didn't you start this game for the first time, and sucked at it for a while ... or where you suddenly one of the world's greatest player ? Why don't you have faith on people like me who actually played the tutorial before having an online game ... or maybe people like you. Why on earth would you believe you managed to get better at this game, while new player NEED TO BE TOLD HOW TO PLAY IT. Man this isn't about how good you are, nor it is about how good you believe your teamates should be. This is about people buying a videogame, and enjoying it as they see fit !
I totally see what you're saying. And let's be honest, I think most of us have experienced as the first time we played (most of us didn't have the tutorial...so) the most anxiety-inducing ######### ever. It was thrilling to me, atleast. I was really scared of horror too, and even up until the point of the Halloween themed menu and music, I had nightmares man. I LOVED it. I sucked so badly it took me a while to get it, and obviously in the run I got desensitized because I'm a competitive gamer and play competitive games often.
Anyways, I think SWF needs to find ways to be nerfed. Honestly. Restrictions on items, certain combinations, idk, something. Don't ruin our solo experience... it just, sucks if it does end up that way and just something to accept. But man, survivor will be too easy. I have enjoy the slight challenge I have as a solo player, and admit that it's impossible to 1v1 a killer on 2 gens, maybe with some its doable but a Nurse or Billy? Not at all.
To the SWF who abused the hell out of the games, it'd be better if you maybe just didn't play it. You didn't ruin the Killers experience, but kind of a lot of us survivors too.
-
I was really supportive of kindred as base kit, but I've seem to changed my mind... As a survivor, and someone who plays solo, enjoys the way the game works as of now. I don't want information handed to me on a silver plate; I want the fun in guessing if someone is in a chase, on a gen, or going for a hook save. The actual effort of going for the save and having to find out hes camping. I don't want such an effortless side anymore... I want some challenge and when I play SWF I don't feel that way, which is why I stopped and moved onto PC and went solo.
It sucks SWF has ruined that last sense of horror this game had. What fun.
-
What about what they did to Smite?
Create a seperate casual and ranked modes, and only allow SWF in casual or vice versa. In smite, you can no longer play a ranked game unless you are Solo. I've seen dramatic improvements since then.
Maybe not the best solution though. Ideas, ideas.
My only problem with bringing Survivors to SWF level and then balancing around that.. may make being a solo player in this game a highly unappealing side to play.
To those who complain about balance, do you think the game is currently balanced when there's 4 solo players? Specifically want Killer mains opinions but any are welcomed. From my survivor perspective, whenever there's no SWF, the game seems to run at a give or take type scenario.

Edit: I want to conclude that after investigating with a partner and following the suggestions of the developers: @Not_queen and Mcote, thanks to them I have arrived by looking at different maps and comparing them as they were 6 months ago, the key where is the "easter" egg "is in the picture of Freddy's map, where we see scratches where 6 months ago they did not appear and just today a teaser with certain scratches appears on a sliding door, I have to risk and say that we could be before: Kuchisake-onna Mouth cutThe thing is that in the video, the killer has heavy footsteps. They sound like boots or business shoes. So I don't think the killer is female. The women in the picture must be someone from his past/lore. I'm still with the theory that the killer still might be her and she just has heavier steps. After watching the Instagram video frame by frame, you can see for a split second a phantom like arm. So I still believe that the killer might be her because of the phantom arm and picture but because in the video the killer has heavy footsteps, I'm not sure...
I'm speculating it's a male killer; they've stated in a Q&A (or stream?) once that The Entity takes valuable things to them and crafts it in its world to really create a response. It'd make sense if this is his wife... A painting of her is definitely valuable. but we'll find out soon enough.

Well I wasn't. In fact, after I took off the mask and started wearing regular clothes, I actually got farther in the game (plus ranking up) and I wasn't camped nor tunneled. Not sure why killers feel the need to tunnel people with the new mask or maybe they think I am a Twitch or Youtuber, but the mask isn't worth getting your fun trampled over. Don't take this as like you need to stop wearing the mask, I am just advising you that wearing the mask puts a huge target on your head. When someone wears a special cosmetics I think that they want attention, so I give them more attention then the other survivors to satisfy them.
