Not true, they've changed it. it's now an "Event item" with a gold rarity. Which means it does not have the same RNG % as any other colour unless they do..

Edit: i've had more purple flashlights and Ultra rare items appear

well they seem common to me, I have atleast 2 to 3 event items every blood web

    u lucky ho :(

  • you do, i'm almost done. I got my killer vials quicker than survivor actually even with Queue times.

But I also nolife this game, but if it took me 24 hrs to get 30 vials, out of a 2 week range period. there should be time.

Edit: i think they're aiming at everyone to reach 30 vials, 60 for us no lifers.

  • The only problem in the way is console optimization. It's fps is nowhere near PC's, and it could cause more problems than we know of.

Maybe if console was optimized, who would deny this? I use my controller on pc anyway.

  • No..

I will not rest until event medkits and flashlights ARE MORE OCCURANT CAUSE THEY AINT SHOW UP NEVER

  • This event is nice...

but no medkits and spooky flashlights in 50 lvls isn't... Is that normal

    Basically yes.
Just like gentapping is an abuse technically but both are "acknowledged" by the devs

How is the movement of the character an abuse to mechanics? I don't see how there is reason to that point..

Because the survivor moves faster than he actually should.
Also the hitbox doesnt align properly with the character model, especially huntress suffers from that when she is trying to melee throw a 360ing guy.

How is non-movement of the character an abuse btw?

I'd actually would like to see proof that the speed of a Survivor surpasses the limit of ** 100%MS** when performing a 360. (Moving your camera one way while moving your character the other in a 360 degree circle)

Could you provide proof that or are you just making that first part up?

You might be right about the hitboxes not lining up... but I mean, I found if you just swing (not lunge) you're most likely to hit them as they do align up the hitboxes at some point. if we're talking about broken hitboxes, what's with those active hitboxes aren't pallet stuns and window vaults? Off topic, but still relevant.

Huntress hitboxes are already broken, so it's irrelevant to the current data. Why hatchet a melee-ranged 360ing guy?

I mean 360 hitboxes aren't broken like The Billy's chainsaw to a Sprint Bursting Survivor yet it's being perceived that you're implying they are. Maybe explain a little for me to understand better?

Take one of those "360 tutorial" youtube videos and a video of a sprinting survivor next to each other.
Run both in slow motion and observe how the 360ing survivors moves faster on your screen than the sprinting one

    .... you're kidding right

    Nope im dead serious

"Please use your own judgement and observation to determine such" is NOT proof. What meets the eye can seem entirely different. The fact that you're dead serious makes entirely what you said unreliable.

    Discussion over from my end.

I think trapper is extremely viable.  I usually only trap areas i know for a fact ill have to chase through, stops windows and pallets.

It would be nice if traps started active, instead of having to walk everywhere to pick them up and set them somewhere else.

Addons increase disarm/sabotage time enough i think, addonless trapper is poor but addons make up for this.

Yeah his add ons are nice, it's sad barely any of them stack though unlike other Killers. If they do, there's no place where it says if they stack or not.

Buuuut after his buff he is viable. Place traps at big loops, completely making them unusable until disarmed but you can also rearm it.

Also, random traps seem to catch people off guard and work really well.

  • I'm not sure why.

Not only has this event got me to play both sides excessively (I was only tendered to the survivor side til now), I've had some fun games all around, got some cool skins...

Sometimes I have real games sometimes I have farming ones, i don't care either way.

  • No

in real life you can dodge hits too... think about it a little harder and also understand game mechanics more..

  • I mean, it just depends on the time of day for me. At night I find a match in seconds, during the day however takes several minutes.

  • For 2 weeks people are having a secondary objective aside from doing gens. A fun one that results in a reward.

Not a fan of it? Simply wait until the event is over. I'm appreciative there's something different to do that results in some pretty damn nice skins. (Probably the best skins in the game)

  • Guess it's not your style.

I've been enjoying this event. Fun legit matches here and there, but it's been some good interaction in this game with all of mine. I also don't mind being friendly when a Survivor is working on a plant. They usually return the favor. Pretty much every game everyone's been apt to helping each other out.

  • To each their own.

If there's enough hooks to gain 1 vial in the match the survivors and I usually farm, otherwise it's just a regular game. Nothing wrong with either.

  • @Shleepy said:

It left ps4 :p but guess not pc

  • Honestly, I don't see why they would ban anyone for farming during this event. It should be expected big time with any game - but it does count as grieving depending on what happens.

Noticed in my first 5 games that generators are just not being completed due to everyone searching to go harvest. Thus allowing killers easy kills and deaths.  Also sucks you cant sabotage any of the event hooks. Really puts surviors at a disadvantage

You also can't kick the Cankers, which puts the killer at a severe disadvantage.

Actually no, it's still not putting them at a disadvantage. I've never won games so easily since this event started. Survivors have a complete new objective with high incentive, being put on priority above gens.

But with that being said, I'm okay with dying as long as a vial is full :) Though this event has had alot of crappy gameplay rise due to almost everyone else feeling the same.

  • I personally love the event, hate the grind, but appreciate it as a whole.

It does sting a little none of these cosmetics are exclusive/limited for those who grinded/will grind the 60 viles.

I'll be sitting here happy though with my Mr. Drippy Billy, Light-up Sketcher Huntress, and Mr. Hot n Sweaty Trapper.

  • I can confirm it's the same around Rank 15-12. Just saying.

It's also not peak hour and everyone my time is at work, so.

Try again at a different hour and see, perhaps one where people are most likely to be on. (Mines usually 5pm EST - 9pm I find games quicker)

It's literally get serum -> let killer hook you intentionally -> die -> repeat.

Boring as [BAD WORD]. I don't know why the devs haven't thought about the farming aspect of this event.

You can't stop farming - this game is about survivors interacting with things and the killer may chose or chose not to kill you, there's nothing BHVR can do if people want to do this.

Last events there was no farming. Survivors had to do gens and that's it. Now they just want serums and die. It's the devs fault if they implement such abuseable mechanics.

    I mean...
    for them pretty skins...
why wouldn't i do anything else.

generators are boring to begin with, atleast with the vials i get something out of it lol

I disagree. From a lot of posts I am seeing here and at other sites in regards to how the secondary objectives are done for Blight, this is exactly what not to do.

While the game does need secondary objectives to slow down the gen-rushing, it needs secondary objectives that actually tie into the main objective. As some have repeatedly suggested, maybe first needing parts to collect before a generator can be repaired, or maybe fuel before it can be powered up.

Any secondary objective should absolutely tie into the main objective of the generators, otherwise you'll eventually find the secondary objective being ignored, regardless of any suggested BP bonus, in exchange for gen-rushing and escaping.

Secondary objectives have to be balanced around the primary objective, and in such a way that they cannot be ignored. Otherwise, they ultimately become a waste of development resources, and do nothing to fix the problem that is causing the need for secondary objectives in the first place: gen-rushing.

    But...

It'd be cool if they kept it like it is now. Harvest these plants for skins.

It'd be super cool to have a secordary objective implemented in the game identical to this event where instead of earning viles, you earn shards. Obviously it would be themed to suit the feeling of shards and not serum, but you get the jist.

I'd so make it an objective if I could get a mass amount of shards in trade of gen time. Afterall, Killer is all about time management, and it'd be nice.

To play Devil's Advocate for a second, say you're you. You enjoy playing survivor. You have some nice skins already that you either bought, earned through an event, or earned through shards. You have no interest in unlocking other skins and you just want to play the game.

But then comes along the other three survivors. They want to unlock those skins, and they're willing to put the objective on the backburner to do so. So now you're left doing generators all by yourself as the other three roaming around the map just to unlock skins. You end up losing because you can't carry that hard.

Now you could either be a super positive guy and be a good sport about it, or more realistically, you'd probably be frustrated that you lost because everyone else is running around being greedy and not helping with the objective.

That's the issue I'd have with it. If it's totally unrelated to the current match, it's going to be incredibly frustrating to the people who don't care about it and just want to play the game. It's one thing when it's an event and you can go, "Oh well, we all want to unlock free stuff while we can," but it's another thing when that's just part of the base game.

You're right; I agree with you there.

But what if it was limited to 1/2 with no offerings to effect them, similar to totems? Would make it not an entirely-focused objective and would reduce the chances of that situation happening. I mean, it'd be no different from cleansing a totem for BP or saboing a hook. Just a different effect in attempts to slow the game down just that much more. Sabo buffs didn't really help.. Atleast the healing nerf has.

  • I hope they keep it this way.

I'd like to purchase the other skins as I won't totally have enough time to gather 60 viles. Honestly..

  • @Peanits said:
TL;DR, that would still be a little too optional. I think a side objective like this (but not optional) is great against good survivors who know how to kill time, but I feel like it would be a little too punishing on new players were it a full time thing.

A.k.a Pig's beartraps, it just only applies to her.

  • i honestly don't know why anyone even cares

we get our medkits and spooki flashlights back

  • Maybe there's more we don't know.

I mean, someone worked pretty hard on these skins (you gotta admit, they're actually pretty awesome)

You don't give away your own paintings for free, do you? Just a thought.

  • To be honest, it was kinda the impression that you COULD unlock all cosmetics, and they simply just slipped the sentence quietly on their stream as if they know already that they're gonna get some serious backlash.

But, they can do what they want. I'm glad we atleast get a 3 piece to choose from.

I'm just here for the medkits and spooooky flashlights truthfully.

Some of them deserve their position though. Ohmwrecker and HybridPanda are normally very nice players. Ohm isn't amazing at the game but he's still nice to his fellow players. I've watched him stream and I don't remember any time that he's been really toxic or rude

Oh for sure! You can throw Tru3 in that batch too, along with Puppers and so on. They're all positive vibin' streamers :P

Even after being questioned on it, he didn't mention what toxic behavior he was referring to. Which makes it sound like he's probly upset about flashlight stuns, run by insta heals, and other valid (but often broken) strategies rather than glitch abuse, harassment in post game chat, and actual toxic behavior.

    Survivor main here :pirate:

I've seen streamers have general bad manners ingame (not bannable) but also outside, AKA the endgame chat.

It's just a question as to WHY these streamers are being heavily supported?

I'm not talking about banning them, I'm questioning business decisions. It'd hurt the game banning these streamers (we all know that) but in the way their being supported just brings up redflags about BHVR's priorities.

Can you see what I'm saying?

  • @TheBean said:
Boring... First define what you consider "toxic"?.... Playing within the rules of the game but not playing in a friendly manner?... Or breaking the rules, cheating, hacking to be toxic?

Is it... You don't like them to support streamers who.... t-bag?..... DC to much, but not enough to get banned?.... Sabo players?.... Sluggers?..... Being mean to you in chat? What?

Please don't use such a broad term.. since some take the meaning of being TOXIC differently in this game.

Some people think using a emote and pointing at the killer is considered TOXIC...

Again, from a business standpoints; why support a streamer that gives the game the rep it has?

Why support someone who consistently uses bad manners throughout the playtime?

Why? Tell me. Tell me how it's professional.

The board use of toxic was used as another word for bad manners.

The whole "bullying killers" thing originated from Top Viewer streamers.. Yes, plural on streamers. in a group of friends typically too.

Just explain to me how that's good publicity?

  • @blue4zion said:
Yeah on the Q&A when their answer to gen rushing was easier sabo and slower healing, I was so baffled.
The sabo gives them more incentive to do something else, but that doesnt stop survivors from just doing gens. (like they're supposed to) The slower healing in no way helps early game when you're chasing one good survivor and the first 3 gens pop after that first chase.
We need something added to gens or a secondary main objective.

Give us a reason to do a secondary objective.

No, like seriously. Anything but gens is a waste of time, so why WOULD i do a secondary objective other than a Hex?

  • i feel u man im so happy its back loool

edit: but i also hope the halloween theme makes a grand return... best music in game by far

  • Saboteur is pointless to have. Even with the new buff, it's nearly useless.

It's not an objective with priority unless all 4 Survivors are running Saboteur and Sabotaging hooks.

It takes 15 secs~ to sabotage one hook.

You must FIND the hooks (Not that hard) That takes time.

15s = 15 charges for a generator. Running around to find the hooks will cost you time.

You're putting yourself miles away from completing your actual objective.

It's. not. worth. using. Another failed attempt. I'd use saboteur more if i didn't have to use a toolbox just to utilize this perk.

  • @Nickenzie said:
    Snapshot said:

From which HEX perk, other than Thrill of the Hunt, can "tokens" be removed by survivors without destroying (cleansing) the associated totem?

So let's say you have 2 tokens, something happens, initiated by a survivor, and you now only have 1 token. For example with Thrill of the Hunt, cleansing a dull totem removes one token without destroying the perk itself

    I'm curious :)

    (Spoiler)

    It isn't a Hex

but isn't it similar to Thanaphobia where you lose stacks when a survivor is elimanted from the trial? Would it apply?

And when somebody camps even a little...

That's counterproductive to people who don't like The Hag or The Nurse. Myself, I like Trapper. He's my favourite. Telling me to pick another Killer isn't solving the initial problem.
