Nothing is the answer though...
Besides the dlcs nothing crazy has happened in 2019.
Well actually there was a moonrise event where we collected/destroyed lanterns.
The next update is where stuff will start happening
Huh, what about the next update? Can you please tell me where to find any info about it?

If they will, they'll have to push another version without Bill and L4D outfits. They won't do it => DbD is Steam exclusive on PC.

Free weekend + sales, that's what happened. DBD always had 15K players on average.Dead by Daylight has averaged a 20,000-30,000 playerbase since launch, according to Steam Charts.
And according to the 2.5-year DbD player it always had an average of 15K. It only increased during events or free weekends.

Is there a certain direction that survivors prefer? Like is going clockwise on the t-walls faster and safer? I just see streamers/youtubers saying they need to push the survivor in a certain direction and i'm just not 100% whyedit: forgot the "L" in clockwise

And that's the little thing that can save you so much time if you're lucky enough, actually.
Good survivours look around and think where should they go next so they usually pick a trajectory that is facing the place the want to go next.
Example: you have a pallet. In front of it is a jungle gym, and behind it is a pile of trash without pallets or windows. Obviously survivour wants to go to the jungle gym after they throw the pallet. And they want to go straight to it, without having to do another loop around the wall and risking getting a hit. And they want to end up in front of the pallet. But you want them to end up behind the pallet.
On this scheme you can see where should you go and where would survivour go.
Same goes for every other loop in the game.
Why did the survivor run into your arms on the last pic? He could have easily continued to loop on the left side until you break the pallet. When you break the pallet, he simply switches to the pallet bellow
I'm sorry, because it's not very clear, but the last pic swows the moment when survivour actually drops the pallet and tries to get to the next area, but you are alreaady on that side.
The picture was quite clear. The question remains: why did the Survivor go over to your side when they could just as easily keep looping or even keep running to the side you're not on?
Hm...
Maybe it was like this: pallet is dropped, survivour is waiting for you to act, you break it and they know that there's nowhere to run behind so they try to move forvard while you're breaking the pallet, but you're done by the time they finally get to another side.Though, I agree that it's a pretty dumb move. Maybe they had DH, but forgot it didn't reacharge yet? XD

The point of the pic was to show that things like that are possible sometimes and it all happened just because the Killer chose the right direction.

Thats a jumpscare that happened twice to me this year, but only once until you realize that he is runnign that build, then you just loop him for hours since he has basically the same movement speed
Do you know that Monitor & Abuse is just enoguh for causing heart attacks? And there's also Dead Rabbit add-on.
Oh, and Pig can also sometimes scare you so much. And so can any killer with Insidious if they position correctly. But MM is just the only thing that is truly scary here. Whenever you learn that you're facing MM you start moving camera to every direction paniking every time you hear someone movind behind that wall.
-
You seem to forget that "competitive" ranked mode is the ONLY one available for public lobbies. And you can't have fun if you're currently at high ranks.
-
Yeah, but that would only work with one survivour being in the perk radius. MAke that two and hove some fun.
Especially since survs are on the gens, if they're not, they're dumb. You don't need ANY tracking skills to find them, seriously. But chase is the thing that AI can do great. In theory, it can easily move backwards while hearing the survivour's movement. It would really mess with lots of competent players.
Plus AI could possibly time reappearance better while picking best spots for it. In the right hands silent bell+10sec insidious will grant it lots of interruptions. I don't even know why you're talking about wraith like he's an average killer, he's great with his addons. -

There is no war between "killer mains" and "survivor mains". It's literally just a difference between players who are putting forward uninformed opinions and those who are informed. People throw these terms around just because someone disagrees with them. Unless you play both sides at high rank I don't think an opinion has very much substance behind it.That's true. People who play both sides on high ranks know exactly what's wrong and what needs to be changed AND they look at how changes will affect BOTH sides experience.
Example: some people would like to increase gens repair time, but they don't really care about how cool it is to stare at a gen for 80 seconds.
Another one: some people would like Nurse nerfed to the ground, but they don't really care how painful it already is to play the Nurse and how hard it is to keep track of survivours in a chase.Unfortunately, these people appear to post more and be louder, so it looks like there's a war when there's not.
-
I once made same one on surveymonkey. Majotiry of people did it to show that killer is near, around 25% were doing it if you could save them and others (not so much) were doing it because it's entertaining.

I tried to massage that guy and he had his settings set to private and they were all Russians so they might even be friends. It happened also against a Doctor in the chapel map .. he chased me a lot and I got hooked .. unhooked and he was after someone .. i hid in one of the lockers downstairs in the chapel and this bitc* stops by my locker and points to him at me .. I bashed locker doors running out but of course he gets me and I'd Rage quit .. and that dumb bitc* sends me hahaha and a ❤ ??? .... there are some ######### .. so learn to be patient or just Quit and find a different game .. yes it affects your Rank .. but There's nothing much you can do and it's not like you get any reward for being Rank 1 anyways
Instead of having a R1 reward you get a pack of unfun matches with much more toxicity and much longer queue times.

Oh oh, just came up with an idea. If a survivor stays inside of a locker outside of killer's terror radius (there should be exceptions for wraiths, pugs, etc) suvivors are penalized with the loss of bps for every 10 seconds spent in lockers.
Do you even know about AFK crows? Or do you know that people stay in lockers a lot against doctor to loose some madness? Or do you know about Insidious of tinkerer?
And what would you do if killer is an "exception"? Hide in lockers for all eternity.
AFK crows are good enough for a penalty.
Afk crows shouldnt spawn when inside of killer's terror radius.
You can recover from madness by crouching. So if it's someone with distressing you could hide in a locker for all eternity without being spotted. No offence, but this idea is awful.
-
I thinkg they just stopped including tax into the original price. That means that before they included taxes into the original price, meaning they'll get less than $20 in the end (not counting Valve's share). Now they just add taxes to the original price, meaning that they'll get exactly $20 and everything above is taxes.
At least that's how it was for RUB Steam when we'ce got new digital content tax. Part of the content became 18% more expensive, while other part saved it's cost meaning less income for the developer.I hope that made thing more clear for you.
Btw, DbD shows regional prices in the store.

I assume you meant Bond tier 2, not kindred. But you could end up facing a 3x SWF which would farm you just for fun. That would be much worse.
I'd suggest you to pick less team-dependant perks and to play a bit more selfish. -
Though, they really do work on the optimization. Back in august 2016 I could barely get 20 FPS, but now I have 50-60 on more than half of the maps. But between 1.4.0 and 1.5.0 there was a really painful time...

-
Huh? I can see the lockers part, but totems? Excus me, but totems are cleansed with another button. Both on keyboard-mouse and gamepad. And lockers aren't actually a problem since 2016. They're moved far enough from windows and have a much smaller interaction zone now. the only reason for you to jump in them accidentally would be te fact that you spam a button when you're nowhere near pallet/window or you being turned into it by Hag's trap (like in the shack).

On PC when people hide in the locker SOMEHOW there's always someone being mad about it. They just make killer open that locker LOL.
Though, if survivour(s) are CLEARLY helping the killer to find you, bodyblock you, etc. it's actually bannable.

It's NOT useful against ruin, it's even SLOWER than Ruin. Though, it's good when you REALlY need to repair 95% gen ASAP. That way you can avoid ruin regression.

All of her outfits will show her cuts, so every outfit will be torn or ragged.

I agree. This should also affect Leatherface, Wraiths bell, clowns bottle, etc.
The reason i only listed Billy and not LF is because of licensing.
Btw, I doubt that it would be a problem with Leatherface. And Dwight's beaten face is the proof.
Not really, dwight is not a licensed character. If the devs wanted to give a cosmetic to a survivor based off of one of their licensed killer they can easily do that. Now if they gave dwight a leather face mask then that causes problems since that is directly related to leather face.
But this head is included into Leatherface DLC.

Yep, and if you don't want to farm and want to play normally, or if you just don't need serum anymore - you're a toxic tryhard. Somebody on reddit said that his SWF friend was tunneled because he didn't bring the offering.

Actually, it would be a good idea and it wouldn't be too hard to implement. Just give the new power item with the weapon. They already have powers listed as items, that are even changeable (Hi, exploits from the past!).

You should probably read this one, as you're pointing to gameplay and the event itself, but not to the problem of this topic.

The cosmetics cost 10$ each. That's two hours of work for me, with taxes accounted for. I can't use this money on food, on phone bills, on internet, on other games or on rent. I have bought every DLC and I actually think the packs like Bloodstained Sack had a 'fair' value to them-- 3$ for 8 cosmetic items that are actually nice to look at? I feel like .20 is definitely fair for a cosmetic. 3$ per cosmetic part, 10$ for a whole outfit? It's really not fair. Not to mention that two outfits cost like a base game...

I find this thread rather fascinating. People definitely have some interesting opinions here. I can't help but feel that players saying things like Borrowed Time, Sprint Burst, Self Care and Decisive Strike are overrated have an agenda. All of those perks are top tier for a reason. There are some underrated perks that I agree with. Bloodhound, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Hex: Third Seal are all quite playable. The comments I find the most amusing though are the ones where the perk seems appropriately rated to me. For instance, I've seen Nurses' Calling listed in both over and under rated. IMHO, I see it used an appropriate amount. It is absolutely a very solid perk, but it isn't something I think should be ran in every build with every killer either.
Fun thread. Keep the responses coming.
I would actually disagree with SB being top-tier. It's been nerfed heavily now. It was great when you could just run normally and have it recovering, but now you can't shift or you'll waste it when you don't need it. Lithe and Balanced Landing are much better.

I just didn't mention any other perk, since this thread was about BBQ.Ah ok. tbh ive seen DS multiple times since ive seen BBQ.
I buy the DLC when it comes out to support the dev. So I won't ever have the issue of not getting DLC perks. But I feel like the DLC perks should at least wait several months(even 6+) before they come out on the shrine. I would also support removing DLC perks from the shrine all together. It only makes monetary sense to BHVR to make that move.
It would, but they specifically don't want it. They even made the Shrine because they wanted everyone to be abe to get Laurie's and Michael's perks without having to pay.
-
Overrated survivour perk - once again, Dead Hard. Won't save you from one-shots, btw.
Underrated survivour perk - I'll agree with HellDescent, Empathy is GREAT. It would easily replace SC if everyone used it at tier 3, while also giving you information about the chases in any corner of the map. It's incredible and useful even if you're the only one using it. And it's definetly better than Bond, which has that 32 meters radius which is kind of useless, because you see/hear survivours here most of the time. Good luck running around the map in search of anyone, because that's 100% something you wouldn't do without it.
Overrated killer perk - Hex: Ruin. Seriously, why are people STILL pick it, if survivours spawn right next to it, sometimes even more than 1.
Underrated killer perk - Bloodhound. It's absolutely great even without Sloppy Butcher. It's great for keeping track of downed survivours, chased survivours, and injured survivours who happened to run far away from you. -

How would you rate this totem placement then? Happened thrice since this. Its a ######### placement, but haunted ground does a lot to combat this. I've lost a number of games because my fellow survivors were cleanse happy. "Oh, you're being chases? Game just started and killer is patrolling and we don't know who it is or where htey are?" BOOM Exposed. Dead.
I'll always test a gen before I cleanse a totem. If its not hexed, I'll probably wait until I can figure out what the other hexes might be, and assume its haunted.
That said, haunted puts survivors in a weird position because if I cleanse it, I have the opportunity to hide when I'm exposed because I know it MIGHT be haunted... but my fellow survivors might be in a terrible position to get exposed all of a sudden.
Have you ever heard about EW3? It's ONLY 60 seconds, which is exactly the time you'll have to waste on a good survivour to find and chase him. They also might break it while you're chasing an injured survivour, which will lead to this perk being absolutely useless. Not to mention that it give you 2 more totems to patrol, since you don't know which one isn't Haunted Grounds. And it doesn't stop them from breaking totems, because 90% of survivours would break any hex they see without thinking.

@Brady @AgentTalon But I didn't tell you to play as these killers all the time. It's just that you'll learn about countering survivours a lot much faster as Hag or Nurse. Other killers, except Freddy, are strong enough to perform 2k in an unlucky game vs good survivours, you just have to know how to play and what to pick, that's it. For example, you MUST NOT take any totem perks, except NOED, since they'll be found instantly (survivours spawn in groups near the totem a lot).
-
Killers have enough power to defeat these SWF groups. Looping? Pick Nurse or Hag. Better Hag, since you're on PS4 and here playing Nurse must be hell. Other killers can deal with those as effective as others do.
Now, about toxicity... DbD's community is one of the worst out ther, they won't miss a chance to write a steam comment or just trashtalk in the end-game chat.
And when somebody camps even a little... -
They should release it same time as PC since it's an event update. And NO PATCHES ON FRIDAY, so it would be before 19th.

Safety pip was only introduced because of depipping with 9 999 BPs: it looked kind of bad. Safety pip was doing exactly what it needed to do with the Victory Cube: it kept people on their rank if they belong to it by not deranking them. But with the emblem system they just made it unreasonably huge where you get black pip all the time except when you just failed miserably. It should've been kept 1-2 points below the pip, so you could stay at the rank you belong or not depip because you just did your objective 99%
