While almost everything you say is true, this also means that you're just not meant to be a rank 1 yet. I am a rank 1 killer and I almost always get all people, even with Freddy. That's simply because most survivors aren't that good at the game and only know how to pallet loop (sometimes). Once the loops are gone, they don't know what to do. Just take NOED with you since it's a go-to perk in rank 1. Yes you'll get salt in the after-chat (even if they destroy it in time)You could use Nurse and combine Thanatophobia and Ruin or just get a few nice builds on multiple killers.
I'm using Save the Best for Last, BBQ, NOED and Monitor and Abuse on Michael and almost always get everyone without any gen slowers. It's annoying when you have insta savers because they kind of force you to hard patrol but other than that, it's not a big deal.Oh yea. Avoid the obvious distracting survivor. The one that wants your attention all game long.
Wish I would get your survivors then, but the SWF I versed can definitely not be won with freddy or troll builds^^
are you playing on console by any chance?^^
I am disgusted by console xD So no. I play normally on rank 1 on Steam. Getting streamers with over 4000 hrs who sometimes don't know how the game works cause they're only ''good'' at pallet looping. Just use the ''hints'' I gave you, trust me.
-
To everyone only blaming killers for their behaviour... There's things like pallet looping and instant saves which force us to play scummy. Pallet loopers waste a lot of time. To regain that time you have to almost always hunt the already injured person, even when just pulled from the hook. Thus tunneling them. I'm not really a fan of the camping strat but it works pretty well I guess since survivors don't get that they do have to let that camped survivor be sacrificed.
I would always just walk away if it wasn't for annoying instant saves. Now I am forced to patrol a bit and sometimes even hard patrol, which sucks for the survivor but isn't entirely my fault.

If this is real, then I'd report it to the support right away if I were you, since that would be simple bug exploitation. If it's fake like a lot of people are saying, then you should get a life (only if it's fake)

DeerstalkerFirst thing to do is simply get your stacks of PWYF and reach EW3 asap. Do NOT attack anyone until you reach EW3 because you're just wasting time. The kill action doesn't take away your stacks of PWYF. Use deerstalker because you want to down the third person and leave them until you kill the fourth or you will have issues with survivors getting the hatch and ruining your 4k. Kill the fourth and then find the downed survivor and let him off your shoulder so you can kill him as well.
Will bringing an ebony mori with fragrant turf of hair+J. Myers memorial count as an achievement? I was thinking of hooking them all once and then slugging and mori while in tier 3That won't work. You have to kill them with the ability granted by the add-on, thus you may not down them since a mori kill doesn't work, that's why the achievement isn't as easy as some people think. I used Fragrant Tuft of hair as well and that's basically the last time I did the challenge since the game wasn't fun in the slightest because Michael becomes such a slow ass guy it's unbearable

I love the new killer I've been having so much fun/success with her. I'm just curious as to what everyone's favorite load out and add ons you like to use and just ur gameplay style with her.Devour hope, sloppy butcher, rancor, bbq has been one of my best perk combos so far. Rancor and bbq for aura reading. Butcher to keep everyone off my totem. Add ons, yakuyoke amulet and bloody hair brooch paired together and you can zoom across the map and have a fairly nice recovery for your power.
Please share your thoughts and let's have a nice discussionShe is one of the weakest killers in like a week. She's not even as ''strong'' as Freddy. The survivors even said that she's balanced because she is so weak xD Just look at her in a week and you'll know what I mean. Her power just has too many downsides.

Since I seen a lot of fog travelers who wanted to buff WGLF, I wanted to give my 2 cents on it and hopefully you'll agree!WHY IS WGLF WEAK COMPARED TO BBQ?
The main reason why WGLF is weak is because the requirement to gain a stack isn't the survivors objective and it's not reliable!
On the other hand, BBQ gives you stacks for rewarding the killer for DOING THEIR OBJECTIVE instead of not going out of your way to do something risky such as let's say "Hooking a survivor in the basement to gain a stack".
So here are my two suggestions on how we can buff WGLF while being balanced:
WGLF: (More Ways to Get Stacks)
Your few friends deserve the best protection. Each time you rescue or take a hit to protect a Survivor, repair a generator, stun the killer with a pallet, gain 20 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 60/80/100 %.The Bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.WGLF: (A Warning if The Killer is Coming)
Your few friends deserve the best protection. Each time you rescue or take a hit to protect a Survivor, gain 25 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 50/75/100 %. When you perform hook rescue, after 3 seconds, receive a notification if the killer is coming to you.
The Bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.
The notification will warn you if the killer is coming by looking at how fast the distance between you and the killer is getting smaller! If the distance between you and the killer is getting small real fast then the notification will go off after 3 seconds but it wouldn't if the distance between you and killer gets bigger or it's inconsistent!
Thoughts, opinions? Leave your civil feedback below!

Sorry for not making your easy game more rewarding.
That statement doesn’t make sense.
How doesn't it make any sense? The survivors already get rewarded with easy pips and easy pallet loops, why give them a reward for being dicks?
EDIT: When having ez pallet games you get ez win and thus ez bloodpoints

Not Sole Survivor.I can't seem to find any counter to it. At all. With the exception of SS... And telling anyone to run this trash perk is like telling a Wraith or Mikey to run Distressing...(unless you're purely farming BP)
It took them how long for Calm Spirit to help counter The Doctor... but.. I'm sure I'm going to regret asking any type of questions regardless of my playtime. I feel like the dev is constantly kicking Solo players in the nads while doing nothing to SWF as both Killers and Solo players have mostly crappy games when paired against SWFs(the sandbagging etc)
The counter to ranchor is to get the hell out...immediately. Don't dance around at the gates, don't go back looking for boxes, when the gates open leave. Counter it the same way you counter noED...LEAVE!
cant leave with 4 gens left to be done.
When the gen is popped, im a sitting duck for 3 seconds. downed and hooked then camped and/or tunneled OR i'm slugged. Then if all gens are powered lol rip. There's so much aura reading now that in combo with Rancor makes it beyond brutal. If i get hooked after seeing i'm the obsession and rancor, i hook suicide. There's no fun to be had. Being on the ground or on the hook the whole time nets no points.
Now... if BHVR majorly boosted struggling and gave points for distance crawled i'd be less bitter.
Can we get a "Crawled x MILES" achievement? lol I would have that in a day
You do realize that the killer only sees your position and not your aura like you see the killers right? And You only get the exposed status and are killable after the last gen has been popped... It's not even near being uncounterable, it's just been a week. Ask again in another week or two when everyone knows how to play against this weak chapter

Firstly - this is my first time posting, excuse if I posted in the wrong channel or anything.
Now to the topic, I'm a bit surprised no one has brought this up (or maybe i just didn't see it)? Decent killers who are good at the huntress are pretty much impossible to escape against if they have iridescent, but maybe thats the point of an ultra rare addon.. then again other killers ultra rares are not this strong.
I was having a discussion with someone while streaming and I came up with a small buff that still keeps the offering strong but a bit more manageable for survivors.
What if when she hits you with an iridescent hatchet, instead of being insta-downed, you go into the borrowed time state, where you have a time limit to get healed by another survivor before you 'bleed out' and go down. This gives survivors a chance, but the offering is still very powerful because you are still in danger and cannot do any other map objectives until healed. And if you get chased after being hit you are still almost a guaranteed hook unless you escape and get healed.
Thoughts?EDIT: For those saying she loses hatchets and has to run grenade belt - valid points, but my idea is not just a straight nerf, if they did change it to my suggestion of putting a survivor in a BT state, they would also rebalance it to not take away the 2 hatchets or something (w/e they come up with), to keep it more fair to the huntress.
It would not be fair. Dodging hatchets is actually very easy, you're probably not very used to it yet though. She can be annoying to play against I get it but removing the insta downer would be crap. Sure the BT effect mostly guarantees a hook but it just wastes more of the killers time and doesn't change the fact for survivors that they are going to be hooked. So why even change it?
-
I don't get why the devs have done that tho. Knowing that, she's even below Freddy Krueger in his current state!

Gens became faster over time.
Skillchecks became easier, toolboxes got buffed…Generator repair times have already been increased once before. I think they only took 50 or 60 seconds for one survivor at first. Not sure about the numbers tho, but they upped the time to 80 seconds which is not enough right now. It was good at the time but it's time for another ''nerf'' I guess.
I highly doubt that they ever increased the gen time by 20-30 seconds.
No no, they actually did. I, of course, don't know the exact patch when they did it, but they did. I've been playing since beta and noticed a large difference when also playing survivor. However as you said, toolboxes and other stuff outbalanced that ''nerf'' and it got overshadowed basically.
Sorry to be a disbeliever, but without the patch notes I won't buy that.
Not by 20-30 seconds. That would be way to much. They would have got their office burned down by survivor player armed with torches and pitchforks for a 30 seconds gen time increase. No they wouldn't. I think it was around the Michael Myers Halloween patch. They probably didn't moan about it since that was the time they got DS and they had to moan about the machine gun build. Not sure if u know what build that was, but it basically stacked Save the Best for Last and Unrelenting (since both perks used to reduce successful and missed attack cooldowns) making the cooldown so fast that counting to 1 was a good cooldown assumption.
I am basically playing since that said Halloween DLC.
Still, I do not believe they ever increased gen time by 20+ seconds.
Prove me wrong if you can.
Ok they added 10 seconds to the gens and 5 seconds to the gates. I forgot about the gates and thought the time belonging to those were for the gens aswell

They already did that. The system used to be even more grinding, taking over a month for only one prestige. (depended on the player of course) The people that got prestiges on killers or survivors got rewarded with the LEGACY PRESTIGE corresponding to the prestige they had unlocked during that time. I think it was a few minor patches after the Michael Myers Halloween patch.

Actually releasing this DLC on all platforms at the same time isn't special. Just because they didn't get that last time doesn't make it something special. It is quite nice that they make a lot of dlc's but this killer is really low tier. Anyone except the survivor players think so because she is ez to go against. She is slightly different than Freddy, in a way that she is already so weak on release that survivors have nothing to cry about so she would get nerfed in the first 2 weeks.
Why would survivor players want to go against weak killers? You guys are so quick to say survivors want an easy game. There is no fun in always winning.
You guys? I also play survivor. I find it unfun to play vs weak killers since there's no scare-factor. Most of the survivor mains don't agree with that and are only satisfied with nerfs to killers and weak new killers. As you can see with Freddy and now The Spirit. I lean a bit more to the killer side but play a lot of survivor as well.

honestly. Stfu. She is low tier at best and maybe just a tad higher than Freddy. You're probably a rank 21 survivor main who isn't happy about the survivor perks (which are honestly pretty good) and thinks that The Spirit is OP.
Information! The Spirit is invisible to survivors but so are survivors to her!
Here's a counter to her. Don't run while she's phasewalking and then juke her like that! You're actually mentally ill if you think that she is OP like how you said in your opening sentence. Seriously go git gud at the game or just leave if you think that she is strong.
Frikkin entitled survivor main thinking killers are favored by the developers. They promised us a DS nerf almost a year ago and we're gonna get it in the next mid-chapter patch - took em long enough!
You basically only got buffs this patch. Faster pallet dropping, interruptable unhook animation, instant exhaustion disappearance after a hook and even a small invulnerability while being unhooked.
Killers got nerfs to stuff like Bloodlust speed (while maps are still in survivor favor) and we got a ######### killer. And yes. Sorry that one of the weakest killers got a rework/needed buff. If you're gonna cry about that already then I can't wait to see you after the Freddy rework in the mid-chapter patch!

Welcome new survivor. Once you play the survivor tutorial and have watched maybe three survivor guides on youtube you have mastered playing survivor. Here take this flashlight, it will protect you from evil and it may even kill them.

hi, all killers are viable against solo survivors, wraith with good perks is terrible to go against. More so when new update will come up.
other killer have more "reliable" powers.at low ranks people don't know most weaknesses and don't have all perks. Once they do you will be frustrated. I suggest you to switch to survivor until rank reset at that point. Learning curve in this game is insane.
Pig is fun but not too strong. First I suggest you buy chainsaw massacre's leatherface - he has BBQ and Chilli which makes grinding twice easier on killer. Also requires bloodwarden to do well. Did you manage to buy it last week?
I also suggest to find some pals to play it with, swf and not makes a world of difference. At the beginning you might want to stick to teammates that won't sandbag you for fun

but at ps4 right now it's going to be ok - lot's of fresh meat.ps: I personally suggest you to get Myers first, as his most needed perk (Monitor and Abuse) is achievable with what ps4 bundle offers. For pig you'll probably need to buy Freddy, as his bloodwarden makes difference between good pig and scary as [BAD WORD] pig.
Monitor and Abuse isn't a Myers perk...it's a Doctor perk

Yet people on here have routinely taken Freddy to rank 1 perkless or with the right addons. Now before you come back with the right addons nonsense that's true for every killer. The killers that know how to maximize a killer and play optimally do really well with Freddy and against good rank 1 players.
The fact that people sue the rank 21 insult to try and debase the other sides points is laughable. What's even worse is yet against the same doom and gloom players are on here The exact same ones that when the exhaustion nerf was being tested told survivors it wasn't even out 2 hours and they were whining.
The exact same killers who said wait and see, give it time and see what comes out. Yet here we are yet again omg she's weak buff immediately etc etc.
Answer me this Powerbats. What is the point of placing a character in PTB if you aren't supposed to discuss how powerful or weak that killer is...
And I said I don't think k the creator of this thread can go to rank 1 as Freddy. I doubt you could either, I didn't say it was impossible though. But again, the doomsayers survivor main who argues like he isn't we'll over the hill, come to save the day..
I could probably do it with Freddy since I'm getting 4k's with him right now, but not without perks and add-ons.
He depends on those while Nurse doesn't even in the slightest. But for the rest I agree with you

You can 4k against people who are trash. Believe me, I know, I play console as well and 3/4k with Freddy quite a bit. Problem is he is very dependent on having the right add one and perks. A base Freddy is trash and almost unusable at rank 15. Take a peerless, add on less Freddy to rank 1 my guy, tell me how good he is then.

Freddy isn't good @douggie123 Everyone knows it. You're probably playing at rank 21 without add-ons so you think he's good. + console is a bit different than pc. Freddy is weak. The Spirit is already weak. But as I said in the beginning, she is still in the PTB so they can change a lot about her right now.Yet people on here have routinely taken Freddy to rank 1 perkless or with the right addons.

I think as a player who plays both sides but just more killer has the knowledge to have correct first impressions of a new killer. The rank 21 insult is fitting most of the time. One cannot play Freddy without correct add-ons and no perks all the way to rank 1. If you show me a video of a rank 20 killer only playing Freddy without perks or add-ons reaches rank 1 then I'll believe you. Since you used such a statement u must have actual proof, right?
The exhaustion nerf wasn't even that impactful, to be honest. The good survivors can play with it and the bad ones finally learned how it felt to have a small challenge.
This new killer is weak. That's just a fact and my opinion. The only ability she has is basically Sprint Burst. Which sounds strong except if she wasn't ''blinded'' or having asthma attacks.

She should turn into a full on ghost and not leave a husk behind. That's simply stupid.
No, your suggestion is what's stupid here. You don't even explain what removing the husk would accomplish. You can use it to block doors, pallets or vaults. Removing the husk makes her signifcantly weaker.
No it does not. It shows everyone when she enters and is a ghost. It is simply a crutch that reveals everything since you hear her dying inside.
But wouldn't removing the husk anyways show that she is now in the spirit world anyways? hypocrite much?
xD I think you need to look up what hypocrisy means. And no it wouldn't. I wouldn't show the survivors everything it does now.
Ok since you don't understand what I am talking about I will write it out for you.
RIght now when she uses her power she leaves her husk behind which is stationary and has a constant terror radius in that area. We all know this. You are proposing that the husk is gone which means their is no terror radius at all. That change doesn't really do much at all. If the survivor sees her at one point than doesn't see her husk/her anymore than they already know that she is in the spirit realm anyway. What the person above was saying is you can use her husk to block pathways/vaults/pallets which is more useful with her power. The survivor already knows she is in the spirit world so why would it matter if the husk is gone or not
The logic would be that removing the terror radius of the husk would mean removing the ghost radius so it would be fair

1 - remove the hatch2 - nerf ds, sc
3 - nerf looping
4 - make other killers as powerful as (or close to) the nurse.
5 - make gens to take longer to repair (or gather pieces to repair them)
6 - remove SWF
Don't you see a big flaw if all of these ideas became real?
I personally find it funny when someone asks for all this and yet makes fun of survivors by saying they want ez matches.
PS: feel free to add more of these suggestions if you think they have been proposed often.
Disclaimer: i've already said that swf needs a especial treatment and some small tweaks would be needed in the game.
I wouldn't add all of them. No normal killer player would want that. That way the game would be way too easy. At least add 2 of those tho. Like nerf pallet looping or make gens longer and add a counter to hatch standoff. They don't have to remove SWF, they have to give killers the chance to chose whether or not they want to play vs SWF lobbies.
Most killers also say nerf Nurse and buff every killer to Hillbilly's lvl. You were just using cliché ideas of killer mains.
-
The system the devs have tried to create isn't good. I don't want to rely on playing Nurse just to reach rank 1, I mean I don't but you get the point. I want to play Freddy for example and have fun at rank 1. This is almost not possible tho. They only have 2 killers made for ez points and pips and the rest are pretty weak considering the game genre

Seriously? You say that while a survivor is camping the hatch? You're definitely a survivor main xD

It will be another noob stomper.
We got plenty of those already, what we need is a viable high rank killer in order to break the ever lasting billy/nurse circle. But then, devs said during devstream taht "not every killer is supposed to be viable at high rank".
Welp, killer is trash as intended I guess.....
Exactly! I forgot the word. She's like Freddy. Good at release but she is only going to be a noob stomper after a week or two. Nice wording you guys!

I agree that the basement is designed to be a punishment for survivors but does that mean that it couldn't be more fair? If you try to escape from the basement against a Hag you have to crawl all the way up, against a Trapper you have to disarm a trap before you even enter it and if the killer tunnels he just blocks your way out of it.
I like changes in the game that decimate situations where survivors were save against the killer. Like getting rid of infinites and also the upcoming d-strike changes. But the basement just feels way to often like you are totally out of options. You simply can't crawl up the stairs against a Hag and then escape unless she wants you to (but why should a killer want that anyway?). And that's where it goes from punishment to "just suicide on hook and start another round, ######### happens".
Also saying "just run away from it" is not that easy. If you don't always play in a SWF group you sometimes just can't know where it is so you end up being in there. And then you also have 3 teammates which also don't know where it is after you found it. If it is that easy to avoid the basement like some wrote it here it could also be deleted in rank8+ matches.
In my opinion the basement just lacks of opportunities to outplay the killer as a survivor and also requires no decision from the killer. There is just one way in and that's in.
Adding a hole and make the stairs larger like some already suggested is a good idea because you have to think as a killer of how you get in there. Are you going in fast and risk the survivors just running away or do you take a longer way in which might give them enough time to heal which means they just can run past you on the stairs.
Also making it a bit larger and giving it a opportunitie to run arround a wall to give survivors a chance to get rid of this the dead-end situation could help against some killers. It's not supposed to be fair xD It's fair if it's in the shack since you have a window there but that's all survivors deserve when being thrown into the basement

You have only had access to her for a few hours how can you even make massive assumptions like that its ridiculous, I have been in a couple of matches with high ranked survivors and guess what they all died.Guess what, she's a killer that's been released for a few hours. You could kill everyone with Freddy at the beginning as well. He was crappy after a week or two
-
She'll be useless from rank 5 to rank 1 after a week or two.

She is good atm when people do not know actually how her ability works like. Then.. we'll see. I just got a bit dissapointed with the sounds - that Spirit and Nurse share the stun sound, Adam and David share overall sounds and why the hell I hear the gen damagin while breaking the pallet?I've noticed that as well. But they made a flaw. As you said ''well have to see how it goes once people get used to her'' Something like that shouldn't even be an option. She should always be viable to be used since her only being viable vs rank 20 players is bullshit.
