They are doing it again. There's a quest to use 10 tonics. Survivors you unhook don't let you heal them and instead run off in an attempt to find a heal tonic so they can progress the FOMO battlepass. Why would you be interested in playing a game mode where your teammates are actively rewarded by the developers to not help your team at all?

I played with Distortion a lot back in the day. It was a very helpful perk, but my games always seemed to end with my team dying. I think it could be better if it worked somewhat like Blood Pact or Better than New, where we could give another teammate a token or Elusive under certain conditions. That could help prevent the game from going downhill.
If this perk stays as a solo perk and only affects the player using it, I don't think it's a good idea.Make it so it affects everyone. Multiple copies increase the number of tokens.

Hitting them with your power is makes them heretics too, you don't need that. Punishing teabagging and emotes is just a stupid sidefeature xD
There is an achievement (hidden I think?) for sending a Survivor to exile who gained Heresy by taunting you.

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand why we're now balancing the game around the info that SWFs can get from voice chat (in other words, by using a tool to gain an unfair advantage that doesn't exist within the game).
I still think it will be a huge mistake to begin balancing DBD around the strength of SWF, but if the game is really going to go in this direction, you may as well just bite the bullet and add voice chat (then buff/rework killers and perks accordingly).
Because SWF with voice chat is the intended power level for Survivor.
There will always be some discrepancy between solo and SWF but the goal is to close the gap by pushing solos upwards as opposed to nerfing SWF.

You have to select the character and click the prestige icon, then they should show up.

so we still need to play 20 matches to remove 1 point? that is, for these 20 matches my 3 penalties will not go away right? if so then it's awful bring back the old one and add this new one on top of the old one so that there are two, then it will be very good!
I wanna remind you that DBD is a half casual game such cruel penalties are not appropriate at all, I have not heard anyone on yt complaining about the previous dc penalty system, but this one is way too harsh and it was added only to please killer mains (features like go next prevention, new crow system) so they can hump us, bleed us, constantly nodding at us...and also to please cheaters so they can hold us hostage and make the most fun while make us suffer cuz they know we have to play 20 matches to get rid of dc penalty
The only way to keep 3 penalty points across 20 games is if you keep disconnecting during the 20 games.
If you disconnect 3 times in a row then for 17 games you have 3 penalty points. After game 18 it goes down to 2. After 19 to 1. After 20 down to 0.
It's a queue that is 20 games long. Each entry in the queue is "Disconnect: Yes" or "Disconnect: No". Once the queue is full every new match is added to the back of the queue and the entry at the front is removed.

I agree, 5 matches are normal, but the days should be counted as before, since those who decided to take a couple of days off from the game should not be punished more severely
You're not punished more severely. With the old system you could freely ragequit your last (or only game) of the day. In theory you could ragequit 100 games on 100 consecutive days without any consequences and ruin the game for 400 other people.
It doesn't matter when you disconnect anymore, you are now penalized based on the % of games you ruin (capped at 20 games total).

I did not know most Survivors searched for generators.
On a map like Lery's, I could understand, but most maps are wide open fields at this point. Gens are obvious.
The Axe seems to be an exceedingly effective anti-loop from what I've seen. Especially with the speed add-ons/perks, he basically gets an instant down on certain maps like Rotten Fields. The signs on the rooms on Treatment Theater show you if generators are there:
- Sign off: no generator
- Sign on: finished generator
- Sign flickering: unfinished generator
I believe this also works for the generators in hallways, the ceiling lights will be on/off/flicker, but these are easier to see so I don't pay much attention to them.
As far as I know the game never tells you this. It might be good to have as a loading screen tip or something.

I'm extremely concerned about this Disconnection Punishment (because let's face it, it is a punishment). Back in 2020, I was told by BHVR themselves that their system cannot tell the difference between an intentional Disconnect and one caused by a crash or someone's wifi disconnecting during the match.
So how will this system work? You couldn't test it in PTB to begin with, and **I** had to point that out to your community manager before the PTB even came out! Yikes!
If your system cannot tell the difference six years later, I have no hope for this system actually working as intended. People's wifi goes out, sometimes they have to leave to do something (life happens), the game itself disconnects you from the servers, etc. There's far too many variables outside of DC'ing out of one's volition to just leave a match because they want to or my favorite reason recently by a killer, "I was bored".
And no -- "getting better wifi" or "get a better console/PC" is not an answer. That's highly out of touch and very inequitable to suggest unless you're going to be paying for people's services.
If your terrible internet is ruining games often enough to the point where the penalty affects you then the penalty is working as intended. I don't care why you disconnect, you are ruining the game for four other people and if your internet is constantly dying you shouldn't be playing PvP online games.

I agree with MaddieMage.
These are just band-aids that are only gonna penalise legit players who have no choices but attempt to try and turn the game around. If you want to get rid of people going next constantly, hardcore slugging, camping and such (which there should be more updates about in the year) then BHVR needs to address the core issues: find out why people do those and solve that issue. Or at least make it better.
Plenty of survivors who are trying to go next are unhooked before they're able to (often even before they reach stage 2) and it changes literally nothing. Because that person doesn't want to play the game anymore. So all they do is stand there AFK or run into the killer asking to go next. Or sometimes even worse: they're pissed off they couldn't go next so they go around the map dropping every pallets in order to grief the other survivors.
You cannot force someone who doesn't want to play anymore to keep playing the game. And the fact BHVR and many people stubbornly think you can is baffling.
If you go AFK or run at the Killer the new system will likely detect that and ban you. Same for wasting pallets.

That makes sense, I just don't understand why it says while they're healthy or injured
- The final Survivor is in one of the following states (Healthy, Injured or Dying)
This could be because of an upcoming perk or Killer. "Do some thing to unlock the ability to kill the last Survivor without downing them first.". Since they are updating things right now they might have added this now instead of later, even if it's currently useless.

"It also means Survivors will have to save their friends ….. now someone MUST go for that Survivor, so SoloQ Survs should get some relief there. It also punishes people who try to Go Next or do Go Next, as intended."
Nobody has to do sh*t here. What do you even mean? Everyone can just continue to ignore the person on the hook and continue focus on gens. It's also not fixing anything, people wanting to go next still do so with getting unhooked and staying under the hook until downed again, lol.
If the system works as intended then staying under hook to die faster would likely be detected and give you a disconnect ban.

That's false.
This concern is false in regards to one of the most played. He's below average on his pick rates and has been for a long time. I think them reducing the hit cooldown after his fight will be fine. Its way too long as it is right now. They will have to tweak the addon though with it of course so it doesn't stack.
They are saying Vecna is one of their, personally, most played Killers. Not the whole community.
Increased attack cooldown after Fly means the time you are blocked from attacking is increased, not shortened. Unless I misunderstand?

Do you know if the patch is still expected today?
I usually see a post on Twitter/X about 30 minutes before a patch is deployed.
I was guessing that it would go live at 11am but I don't see anything yet.
Thank you 😊
Adding to this: In case fix means a server-side fix (i.e. no patch that has to be downloaded) then the quests are still broken, if the fix was already deployed.
Edit: It is now fixed for me.

The 9.5% per match is from passive generation only and is constant whether you are completing challenges or not
You can somehow get +10 fragments without quests. I think your calculations are missing that (at least I don't see it). From what I have seen so far it could be that you get +10 fragments if you did not complete any quest in a match.
I also suspect (but this is untested) that if you use Abandon you don't get the +10 fragments.
If I'm right about this then once you are done with all quests (and thus can't progress anymore) you get +10% of a level every match.

One thing to add as I can see people talking about the win / lose / draw conditions, please know this is match outcome and not what happens with MMR which is much more conditional.
If I understand your post correctly you are saying that Win / Lose / Draw does not DIRECTLY translate to MMR changes. There may be some connection, but to me it sounds like it isn't the main effect / focus of the Win / Lose / Draw outcomes.
What does Win / Lose / Draw mean in this context? What does each outcome do / what is this main effect?

So if 1 survivor repairs a generator for 5 seconds, once every 5 minutes, the survivors can hold the game hostage?
There needs to be a judgment call if the survivors to honestly trying to repair generators, or if they’re repairing for tiny amounts of time, and then the excessively hiding until it’s safe again to repair.
Because of the survivor team strategy is to drag the game another 30 minutes so they can eventually reach the gen kick limit, then that’s bad, and shouldn’t be rewarded.
You could always do this. The only difference now is that you can avoid the disconnect penalty (and MMR loss, if you care about that). A Survivor who is willing to do that to themselves is likely not going to care about the disconnect penalty. And holding the game hostage is against the rules, just report them and they will be banned if they do it often enough (unless it is a permanent ban the first time you do it, in which case that behavior can be stopped even faster).
-
Be Survivor
Be at MMR where Killers slug a lot
Disconnect every time the Killer slugs
Your MMR never decreases
Slugging Killer also disconnects
Their MMR never decreases
Continue being matched against slugging Killers because no one's MMR changes
Trying to manipulate your MMR is a terrible idea. Dying against a camping/slugging/whatever Killer is good for Survivors - their MMR shifts down, the Killer MMR shifts up, it becomes less likely to be matched up with the same Killer again.
Assuming the matchmaking works properly:
- MMR only matters if you are at the very top and your games are not fun because you always win…
- …or if you are at the very bottom and so trash that you can never win against even the worst opponents
In every other case you should eventually rise/drop to some suitable level.
There is no reason to care about your MMR and trying to manipulate it is only going to hurt you.
-
I'm just going to post my crazy theory here:
- Survivor works at a hospital (based on dialogue, and the "font" of the chapter name)
- FNAF is releasing after the Survivor, which will bring lots of new players
- Tunnelling people out is still a massive problem, and if new players get tunnelled out they will quit immediately
- Therefore, new perk that gives you a defibrillator that revives dead Survivors
- It will be either complete trash and never see play or ridiculously overpowered and nerfed to the ground after one week
-
Tl;dr:
- Aura reveal for only one Survivor instead of all widens gap between solo and SWF
- Killer can not meaningfully influence/cause hacking failure
- Global Detection either too impactful for camping, or irrelevant mechanic
- Suggestions for these issues below
I don't like the new hacking.
If a Survivor is skilled enough they can do the hack without failing. As a Killer you can't affect it, outside of catching them in the act, in which case the penalty for failure (Killer Instinct) is irrelevant.
The aura reveal for successful hacking is much weaker for solo Survivor players than SWF on comms. At minimum the reveal should be visible to all Survivors. Even if no other changes are made, this one is a must. It has been said many times in the past that you want to lessen the gap between SWF and solo. By giving the aura read to only one Survivor you widen the gap.
My suggestion:
- Hacking a drone turns it friendly, and it reveals the Killer to all Survivors instead (if the Killer is scanned by the scan lines). The drone is also revealed to all Survivors (aura)
- Failing a hack empowers it temporarily, giving it bonus speed when controlled
- Controlling (rather, attempting to) a hacked drone causes it to explode in an area, similar to Freddy pallet explosion. The explosion radius could be the visible part of the scan lines, that would make it easier to play around for both inexperienced Survivors and Killers
- Drones can't be placed directly next to generators or hooks (a detonation of a hacked drone should not be able to hit you while repairing)
As a Survivor you can use the drones to detect the Killer if you succeed, but it becomes a remote controlled mine instead. This can be good, but it's also risky. It might be better to not a hack drone, depending on where it is placed.
Same for Killer. Do you want to detonate the drone to not reveal yourself, pre-emptively? Or do you leave it, to potentially damage a Survivor later?
This makes drone placement and the decision to hack them more strategic.
Radar power has the issue that while it is active you can proxy camp efficiently. You can see Survivors going for unhooks early, or force them to walk. Walking means the hook progresses more, which makes camping more effective. If the duration is too short to deal with camping then it will likely not be an impactful mechanic.
If it activates with no one on hook then Survivors will just stay on generators. At best they walk to the next one and lose a bit of time. In any case, it doesn't sound like it adds anything particularly exciting in terms of gameplay. At worst it makes the game less fun because of more camping.
My suggestion:
- When active, all drones start homing in on the Survivor furthest from the Killer (slowly)
- The longer you camp the less drones you have near the hook, which makes tunneling off the hook harder
- They move faster if the targeted Survivor is sprinting (sprint away from the hook to help whoever goes for the unhook by moving the drones away)
- Being scanned by a drone speeds up all drones
- Drones should also get red glowing eyes while the effect is active (purely cosmetic, but it would look cool)
- Some kind of UI element (on the HUD, or under the Survivor's feet) shows the affected Survivor the effect is active on them
If pathing is too difficult, let them phase (maybe also scan) through walls. Explain it as some kind of experimental technology that makes them able to do that. When the effect ends, destroy all drones inside walls (or just all drones in general).

I've reported without video before. Got a message afew days later that actions were taken.
I don't know if this was ever officially confirmed but I read that you get this message if someone gets banned that you reported, regardless of whether your report was looked at or not.
I.e. you report someone in-game only (no one looks at your report because it requires video evidence, and looking at it would be a waste of time without additional evidence from a support ticket), someone else reports in-game and with a support ticket + evidence and that ticket leads to that player getting banned you are getting a notification as well even though no one looked at your report.

A little bit off topic but I want to take the opportunity: The report system is extremely misleading and not friendly for beginners. Many players - even average one's - still think it is enough to report them ingame. But you also have to make a ticket with either a video or screenshots. Then, it is extremly frustrating that you basically need to record every match just in case there could be a cheater - then uploading. A few days ago, I did a Myers daily and faced a cheater: I chased him first - it was a Dwight. He felt kinda sus because he won every 50/50 on tall loops and whenever I had no line of sight, it felt like he made more distance. Then, I left him and downed a Jake. When I tried to hook him, I wasn't able to hook because the game though someone is sabotaging the hook. This was the proof for me that something wasn't right and in the endgame chat the Jake agreed that someone was cheating. Dwight was also not playing on steam and had typical perks that cheaters like to use to make them less sus. Luckily, a program records every dbd session and I had a proof but imagine I hadn't had this program.
I know you said a while ago a replay system is not possible but is there no other way to make it easier for us to report players? Or at least, the report system needs more advices like a link to the ticket or helpful tools to record a match. Something that also helps these players and let them know what they have to do when reporting a player.

Aura reading perks, such as Weave Attunement, can reveal them. You can then record it, and get them banned. This video is a recent example where I encountered exactly what you describe:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RLmc9RwqF4 One of the many reasons the current report system sucks is because without Weave Attunement I would not have had such clear evidence - there is a massive need for some kind of replay system that lets you play back the match from different angles. Imagine the video playing out without any aura reading - sure, it would look suspicious, but possibly not suspicious enough to be clear evidence of cheating. -

And then no one plays Killer either. Then it's two Killer bots versus eight Survivor bots.
Trapper bot is then somehow bugged, wildly inflates the kill rate and as a result Trapper gets nerfed to oblivion.
Bots in actual games are whatever as long as it's a choice. Make a separate PvE queue for people who want that but keep them out of anything else.

I'm not sure what you mean by me talking about a different situation. OPs complaint is being bodyblocked, and since it is EGC it won't be actionable. The killer working with survivors is another issue (that OP didn't raise, others did).

Thanks, but the first and second post by Mandy (from the top, first and third total in the images) only mention the Killer doing it presumably by themself, while OP was being blocked by other Survivors and the Killer. Without context I can't tell if the other posts are in reply to Survivors bodyblocking other Survivors, or only the Killer doing it.
As I understand it the situation here is different, Survivors blocking another Survivor. The Killer is also bodyblocking, but that is allowed during endgame.
From my perspective:
- Survivors bodyblocking each other is against the rules (griefing). I don't think it becomes OK to do as soon as the endgame starts. I agree that it is not holding the game hostage, but that doesn't mean it is not griefing
- Working with the Killer is also against the rules. It seems like the situation OP was in was only possible because the Survivors and Killer were teaming up
Killer blocking a Survivor by themself is allowed during endgame, but unless I misread your post you are saying a Survivor blocking another Survivor during endgame is allowed.
I don't think that's correct. It's not holding the game hostage, but that doesn't mean it doesn't violate the rules.

Mandy has said before that in EGC it's not actionable unfortunately. I agree it sucks. I refuse to farm too but have only once or twice been punished by the other players for it. One time was by two of my team mates and thankfully the killer wasn't happy on my behalf and killed both those players and let me escape.
Do you have a source for that please? I am very sure what you are quoting is talking about a different situation that doesn't apply here.
Bodyblocking the Killer as Survivor = no problem (unless it's some kind of exploit where the Killer is unable to hit you but also becomes unable to move because of you)
Bodyblocking Survivors as Killer = only a problem if you do it for a long period of time, because then it becomes holding the game hostage
Bodyblocking Survivors as Killer during endgame = not a problem because the game is progressing, it's not holding the game hostage
Bodyblocking other Survivors as Survivor = griefing / holding the game hostage (if it's done for too long - if it's briefly/on accident then obviously not a problem)
Working with the Killer and bodyblocking another Survivor = not holding the game hostage in this case because of the endgame timer, but it is working with the Killer, which is against the rules (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408581146516-What-actions-will-result-in-a-temporary-ban - "GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE")
If the Survivors can only bodyblock because the Killer is also helping, then maybe the Killer is also violating the rules (= working together with the Survivors, but not holding the game hostage). The other Survivors for sure though are working with the Killer, and the endgame timer being active doesn't matter for that rule.
-
The one thing I will never understand is how a cheating survivor can cross a map instantly and go out of bounds and the anti cheat doesn't see this as being suspicious.
Killers can grab and teleport you into the basement at the start of the game. They could probably also grab you and teleport you out of the map if they wanted to. If anyone who goes out of bounds gets auto-banned then you just added a tool that can be abused to get everyone you want permabanned.

Okay. So youve just thrown away all credits to make statements anymore.
Look at all the random things that break all the time. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that, at any given time, MMR is not working as intended by the devs. Sure I will believe that they believe the MMR works and the event gamemodes do not update player MMR and that this is also how it is intended to work - but that doesn't mean that it actually behaves that way. This does not mean that anyone is lying but rather that it's possible that it's one of the many random things that break in basically every update.

I can see why they would try to mitigate a problem until they have a better solution. But on one hand, Plague is up for changes, which seems to indicate that their priorities are mixed up and on the other hand you don't need to freddy a killer for the issues to be less prevalent.
I'm far from a Skull Merchant fan but really, why did they have to nerf everything about her? Had they removed the haste effect and nerfed the hindered effect it would already be pretty hard on her. But why did they need to remove the stealth mode and a scan line? Especially that last part sounds like a bad idea. Even just visually that would be weird.
But why did they need to remove the stealth mode and a scan line?
Here is an example of how a good company handled essentially the same situation, with competent communication and without mocking the community (scroll to the bottom, read the section about Smiter's Boon):
Smiter's Boon was a problem in PvP and it had to be removed. The developers acknowledged that, said they are looking into finding a way to make it viable without it being overpowered (in other words: reworking it).
They don't want anyone to play Skull Merchant until the rework. They are just doing a terrible job at communicating it (or they are intentionally not flat out saying it, for whatever bizzare reason).
Except not only is the communication terrible, the implementation is too. Players who like playing Skull Merchant will keep playing her. They will then drop in MMR, until they settle into a new, lower MMR where the Survivor players will still not have fun playing against her. The only way this could work is if every single Skull Merchant player was unable to get any kills at the absolute bottom of the MMR rating and then stopped playing her completely, but that seems extremely unlikely.

Why can't you just do what other games do and ban/punish players for doing that?
LoL, DotA, CS etc all ban people for "feeding". You even have an option in the report menu for "working with the enemy" already. Why can't you just enforce that?
Plus this already kind-of-but-not-really even exists in the rules: targetting the same player across multiple games is bannable.
If for example another Survivor wants to specifically ruin your fun then the easiest way for them to do it would be to disconnect or kill themselves on hook when you are in their game. Targeting other players to ruin their game experience is explicitly against the rules.
I am not saying that everyone who dies first/dies on first hook/goes down early is doing that! They should also not be reported for just that!
Make feeding (= killing yourself on hook, running at the Killer, ...) against the rules. Discard reports if the player being reported is new (they may not yet know how the game works) or is low MMR (they may just be bad at the game). If a high playtime/medium to high MMR player is dying on the first hook in multiple games in short succession then ban them for ruining four other people's game.
This needs some more details (if it happens at most X times across Y games discard the report, …) but in general it should be possible to implement.
This could likely be automated to some degree - automatically flag players who are potentially doing it and discard reports for unflagged players. The automated ban idea that was mentioned during an anniversary stream (and then thankfully was never implemented) remains bad but it's fine if there is a human making the final decision. Automated flagging as a prerequisite could reduce the additional load on support staff handling the reports.

The first step would have been to not make obviously bad changes.
Rolling back bad changes is a great second step. If the positive changes outweigh the remaining bad ones then at least it can be a net neutral.
Rolling back all bad changes would be an even better step.
Arguably the most important step is to then learn from the mistakes and to not repeat them.

i checked it in custom ~2 weaks ago - in no situations item inside of the chest was revealing survivor aura
Just opening a chest
Swapping item in the chest with your own
Swapping them backVideo from just now:
https://youtu.be/RRJEmIfrtO0Felix' aura is revealed, and the only item nearby is a toolbox in an open chest. Patch 8.1.0 (the current patch). I have no other perks that could cause the aura reveal.

That might be a different problem then man..
My specs are lower than that and I still run just fine regardless of whats on screen. I even used the skin myself and I didnt have any issues
It could be related to the graphic settings in some way.

Also this. It's especially annoying when they've got a wiggle build, teammates sabotaging hooks, etc...
Can cosmetics be killswitched? Examples like this + the stutters should be enough reasons to killswitch it until fixed.

They put the new characters on top so that you see that you down own them and are more inclined to buy them. In general, the new UI is fully designed to make you spend more money on the game. The goal was not to give improvements to the player, the goal is to trick the player into buying stuff.
@Topic:
As basically everyone has said - it is awful. And it is the same as changing the UI in Trials - someone with years of experience thought it looks good. But here it is also sinister, because it is designed to go directly to the wallets of the players.
And the worst thing for me - 0 communication at all from the Devs. They dont seem to be open to feedback when it comes to money.
Regarding being open to feedback: they definitely read it. "The players don't like the new UI." And then they celebrate and pop champagne because it's working as intended.
Annoyed by the exclamation marks that show you there's new stuff in the store? Working as intended. Edit: This is being removed! https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3762764/#Comment_3762764
Annoyed by seeing new characters you don't own yet on top? Working as intended.
It's supposed to be in your face and you are supposed to hate it because a lot of the annoyances can be fixed or mitigated by spending money or opening the store which encourages you to spend money.
Hostile UI isn't new either: redeem code button in the store, battlepass popup on the side, battlepass forcing you to open it to get the items instead of just giving them automatically, thus forcing you to look at the paid tier, news popup for store updates. All of these could work differently or be placed somewhere else without any negative effect on the players.
This isn't an unintentional misstep, it's deliberate and not new.

Not guaranteed to happen at least. I've had zero issues when encountering the skin. My game runs all the same with no frame drop
Are you on PC or console? It's likely hardware dependent. A powerful PC may not have this issue but a weaker one or a console may.

Last time we saw weave there was an icon next to an open chest with an item, recent change or bug? (We've been bingeing on other things lately and have not been keeping up with everything)
I am also pretty sure that open chests with an item trigger Weave Attunement. I don't know if it's still the case in the latest update.
Maybe it only triggers if you swap the chest item for the item you are holding or maybe doing that causes Weave Attunement to not trigger anymore?

how do i no what survivor to hang 2 times?
There is a voiceline when someone picks it up (or maybe only when they activate it) and it shows as a separate icon under their other items on their player logo thing
It then works like a Pyramid Head mini-mori on Survivors with two hook states.

@GoodBoyKaru You included a key in the screenshot, you may want to remove it if it was uninentionally added (not quoting the post because I think the quote would preserve the screenshot even if edited?)
I don't know how it works legally, but my interpretation of this box is that you still allow them to sell all your data to these companies until you opt out again. So even if you immediately opt out again it's still legal for them to sell your data. It's possible they are not allowed to initiate the "process" of sending your data after you opt out, but it should be possible for them to start that / send a copy of your data immediately after you check the box and submit the form.
The safest option is to not check this box in the first place, but it's also entirely possible that if you opt out quickly enough nothing is done with your data.

I understand the intent behind the sentiment but going back into hiding is not the solution. That's what these people want. They want to make us stop existing, to make us afraid, to make us feel subhuman. Telling people to hide who they are in order to avoid harassment is just helping the bigots get what they're after. Use the trans flag charm to show support, drown out the bigots with support and positivity. It's needed now more than ever.
> Use the trans flag charm to show support, drown out the bigots with support and positivity.
And then also report them all so they can be permabanned. Their hateful ######### doesn't belong here

Being trans is not sexual, political or religious
It's also not a problem in any way, or something that shouldn't be in this or any other game
What shouldn't be in the game are those who want to make being trans a problem. Luckily the solution is simple: just permaban them all. Just instantly, for the first offense. You have to go out of your way to be transphobic, and if you choose to do so you deserve to be removed from the community forever and instantly.

The new Killer has outfits that cater to men and women but I’ve seen a lot of people intentionally using these outfits with names (often using slurs) specifically targeted towards attacking and harassing trans people.
I’ve had 3 matches already where people have done this and targeted me for using a Trans Pride charm, I’ve sent reports but it feels like nothing has really happened from the reports. Furthermore these people also harass me in the post-game chat or leave awful comments on my profile if I have already left the match.
I wish people were nicer and didn’t ruin the new Killer this way. :(
I’ve seen a lot of awful posts on social media as well (especially DBDTwitter), and I’ve basically had to take a break from the game altogether or only play Killer to avoid this stuff, it’s really bad.
How are you reporting them?
For chat harassment (in-game) and offensive user names the in-game report should be enough. Don't report them in-game or through support if they do that, if it's outside the game you need to report it on the platform where it happened (Steam for example).
If they are posting on your Steam profile you can report them there. They can and absolutely will be banned by Valve if they do that. You get a notification on Steam that tells you that they handled you report, but it can be slow.
For anything else, such as being targeted, you need to report in-game AND make a support ticket with evidence. If they are harassing you in the chat and your profile as well you can include that in the ticket, though I don't know if support needs that.
