    @Raccoon
    Hatch gives 5000 + 2000
5000 in Survival, 2000 in Objective.
It makes no difference to Survivors who did most of the generators, but it’s a free 2k for the ones who hid around the map and did nothing to earn it.

    Bragging rights for either, apparently.

To bad we won't be able to report comm abuse to BHVR on console. Just had a guy threatening that hes going to ######### my dog...

You know you can report the messages sent to you directly to Sony? If I remember correctly (and I have a PS3 and PS4, I should know this ffs lmao) you can report the player in Messaging and it gets sent to Sony.
Any threats of ######### against one's person or family, is definitely punishable by account suspension or even an outright ban from PSN.
Just for good measure you should send a support ticket straight to Sony with screenshots of the messages.

  • I mean you could always not save a survivor while the killer is right there and has already hit you.
Or you could avoid this problem entirely by not taking Self-Care, maybe.

    lmao

  • I’ve seen quite a few occasions of this being bugged;
    - Saw a clip where a streamer as Leatherface chainsaws the Survivor who kobe’d, hitting him twice and the Survivor still makes the gate scot-free.
    - Personal experience saw a Survivor get knocked down instantly by a Huntress hatchet.
    - Went to whack the rescuer and got redirected to the rescued - knocked the rescued straight down.

We all told the devs that bringing in hook invulnerability would cause more problems than it fixes, but of course they didn’t care.

it'll take a bit to fix the muscle-memory, but I think that will make a big difference for me.  thanks!
(does this change any actions for killer?)

If I remember correctly, the keybind where you'd have found 'Actions' is Survivor-exclusive controls, so it shouldn't affect your Killer control layout.
But I could be wrong. You might need to test it yourself.

But those are two separate keys (M1 for totems and spacebar for pallets).

On console they are under the same button.
Personally I've set vaults and pallets to Square/X because it's an unused button on controllers. I prefer to play Survivor with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse.
That being said, I recommend to OP that they set their controller layout so that the option 'Actions', which applies to pallet drops, vaults, and lockers, is bound to the Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) button.
Note that escaping through the hatch and self-care at the two most notable actions that will stay bound to R1/RB.
Then all you need to do is adapt to it.

@Master Pardon, 2.3.0 patch reduced the hooking, not unhooking, time. However, if the survivor moves, then the player HAS control and invulnerability should have ended. Report that issue.

We reported this stuff when the patch went live and nothing happened.
Right now I assume its an intended feature created by lazy programming

Look what I found in another thread:
    https://clips.twitch.tv/ConcernedTemperedPuffinShadyLulu

Dear god that is beyond a joke, two ######### hits with a chainsaw and Adam still gets off scot-free.
    Unbelievable.
And I know I made a thread wanting invulnerability while kobe-ing once before but seeing that one clip has changed my mind instantly. God damn.

  • I don't personally know what the exact circumstances here were, but if the Hag had Hex: The Third Seal, and hit you so you know it applied, it might not have been Hex: The Third Seal Tier 3.
    H:TTS is as follows;
Tier 1 - Applies to the last two hit Survivors
Tier 2 - Applies to the last three hit Survivors
Tier 3 - Applies to all hit Survivors.

If the Hag had H:TTS Tier 1 or Tier 2, it's possible that she may have hit two or three other separate Survivors after hitting you, and as a result, the Hex's Blindness effect vanished on you, because H:TTS Tier 1 and 2's effect will vanish on the Survivors that haven't been hit after two or three other different ones were.

As you said in your post, Hex: The Third Seal showed up when you got hit. It might not have been T3 and she may have hit two or three other Survivors after hitting you, hence the Blindness status effect not being present under the Cursed status effect.
Otherwise, maybe a Survivor broke a totem that happened to be Hex: The Third Seal and you didn't notice. You might have been cursed by something else, perhaps Ruin, which may have confused you.

  • I'd be fine with them extending the event if they got rid of that stupid friggin' canker plant noise in the menus. It just makes the noises in one ear while the game is loading and it's so annoying.

You should keep your vial progress (as though you lived), bloodpoints your earned during the match, and unless you lost or used up your medkit, you should have kept it.

Except when a Killer DISCONNECTS as in ‘loses connection to their internet’, it doesn’t act the same way as when they use Leave Match.
If a Killer disconnects due to an internet problem, the game will likely treat you as if you left the match or lost connection yourself. That being said, the rules of Survivors losing connection applies - lose everything you’ve gained or brought into the match.
  • You can use macros. Even streamers use macros for wiggling and struggling.
The particular program you use for the macros though might have an effect. However, macros don't alter the game's files in any way, so you should be fine.

  • We need someone to create a YouTube channel like Limit Breakers, to find out useless data like 'the longest healing time possible' or 'fastest generator repair speed possible'.
I'd love to see stuff like that. I'd experiment to figure out these numbers myself but I don't have any friends to do it with.

  • I find it hilarious that everyone is assuming I want Hillbilly nerfed just because and ignored the 'when the game is properly balanced' part.
    Looking at you, @Master.
"The game being properly balanced" obviously equals "all other Killers on the same level as Hillbilly, or as close as can be."
But okay, go for your personal attacks and calling me a toxic ######### who only wants ez games ez life, yeah? You do you.

If you've got your graphics settings on Low and you still have bad frame rates, try turning down your Resolution. Turn off the automatic resolution setting and turn it down manually.
Keep in mind though you'll need to find a balance and not put it all the way down to 0. Having it at 0 can cause your performance to be even worse than it is at 100.
I have mine at 40. Game looks like ######### most of the time, but at least I get 30-45 FPS. But you'll need to experiment with it yourself in a match. Try booting up one of the Tutorials and tweak your resolution setting for a good balance.
Also your Resolution will glitch a bit if you change the game between fullscreen and windowed, as it'll start rendering 100 resolution but the slider will still be at what you selected, you just need to tweak it a bit. There's a bug in the game where pressing the Enter key can toggle fullscreen and windowed for some reason.

How about instead you acknowledge the fact that you're breaking the Forum's own rules?
You are breaking the first rule on the Community Guidelines page which is "Do not insult, harass, or flame other forum members." and all you are doing is instigating, which also breaks the rules.
While I personally may or may not be breaking the 'do not backseat moderate' rule, I'm actually asking Peanits himself because he's the most active Moderator I've seen on the forums.
Besides which I'm actually asking him to defuse a situation and derailed thread so people don't end up getting banned from the forums if it goes way too far, and knowing the Dead By Daylight community it does very often go way too ######### far.

So yes, I am calling to 'mummy and daddy'. Not because you hurt my feelings but because I'm trying to stop people from getting hurt.

"Last night, a disfigured man barged into the laboratory with a gruesome, mechanical mouth and shred the wall into splinters"

Disfigured man with a gruesome mechanical mouth? Could it be the doctor, or a hint to a new killer?

It’s the ripper, or something like that, it was mentioned by the devs, but they said it was taken out of the game really early in development because his power was way too op
    Really? What was his power?
Might be talking about The Smasher.
He had the ability to completely annihilate and remove map props from play.
Essentially the Smasher would have been able to wipe buildings off the map and once he’s smashed everything, it’ll just be a vast expanse of nothingness left.
That being said it’s obvious how overpowered Smasher would have been, especially if you compare him to The Nurse, who can IGNORE map props entirely.

Though it’s extremely likely that the Killer Vigo’s journal references is the Trapper. No other (non-licensed) Killers have any metal directly attached to them, nor do they wear any full-face masks made of actual metal.
The Doctor’s mouthpiece isn’t mechanical, it just holds his mouth open, exposing his teeth.
Evan’s mask is wooden and metal, though the most notable metal part of his mask is the teeth. Vigo might have still been processing the situation - seeing as he was nearly reminded of his (im)mortality - and thought the mouth was mechanical.

To be honest I stayed in for a full hour because twice there were all four Survivors but then one left, so I was still hopeful.
And the Entity likes people being hopeful, know what I mean?

  • Can we discuss this, please? This could be a balancing problem for the Doctor, and it could be considered somewhat unfair that Survivors can speed up their recovery but he can't slow theirs down (without the Discipline add-on of course).

  • Just gonna bring this one back;

How about we make affected Survivors unable to see the Killer’s Red Stain and call it a day?

  • @Judgement said:
If they allow 30/30 Survivors to continue collecting Cankers, those Survivors would be extremely likely to be greedy or troll - “I’ll get this plant because I want bloodpoints, screw your event progression.”
How BHVR SHOULD have made it work, is that all Survivors share the same vial progression. One or all Survivors can work on the same or separate Cankers, and the leftover ones can work on generators. At the end, all Survivors would have progression to their vials.

I don’t see why BHVR didn’t make it that way. I know they prevent 30/30 Survivors from juicing Cankers to prevent trolls and greedy players but this is also punishing those who don’t.
Take notes BHVR - make all Survivors share the same vial progression, as was the case on all other events.

Dude people were done one side in a few hours. If you can't get 30 vials in 2 weeks I dunno what to say.

Oh I don’t know, maybe people who don’t have ‘a few hours’ to play consecutively as hardcore as a legend like you to 100% their vials in exactly 30 matches?
Or maybe people who are busy with other stuff that takes priority over a damn game?
Or maybe people who play other games more than they play Dead By Daylight? Other games that are more enjoyable than Dead By Daylight, I might add?
    Or Civilisation V?

Do you have ‘something to say’ about those circumstances, Might?
Oh what am I saying? You already said you don’t.
  • If they allow 30/30 Survivors to continue collecting Cankers, those Survivors would be extremely likely to be greedy or troll - “I’ll get this plant because I want bloodpoints, screw your event progression.”

  • How about we make affected Survivors unable to see the Killer’s Red Stain and call it a day?
  • Since the Nurse has a factor of Telekinesis with her power, she doesn't actually grab Survivors physically when she catches them or pulls them out of a locker. The only time she physically grabs or holds Survivors is when she's carrying them on her shoulder. Even picking them up from Dying State, the Nurse lifts them up with her power.
That being said, you might be seeing the Nurse actually not grabbing the Survivors, which is intentional as she's meant to pull them off using her power and not her bare hand.
But I don't often play Nurse, and much less often do I get catch/interrupt animations using her, so I may not have experienced what you are noticing.

  • Basically what yeet said just above, this would be a case of 'botting'.
Botting is when Killers AFK with a certain program active that makes them click, therefore swing their weapon, the entire time the match is taking place. They don't play the game at all, in fact they do this to farm for themselves and allow Survivors to farm, as the Killer swinging can hit the Survivors and the other Survivors just heal them.
It's definitely a bannable offense and you should make sure that, if a Killer was botting during the trial, you report them in the post-game menu. Botting goes under Unsportsmanlike Conduct I believe.
While other Survivors might see an opportunity with this to get more points, I'm not sure whether them actually taking part in it (farming with botting Killers) is bannable. You might need to ask the game devs about that.

  • With this discussion no longer being ‘civil and constructive’ solely due to OP instigating, can we just tag @Peanits or some other staff to close this thread and move on, please?

At this rate you might as well lock out MORI too since survivors no longer have something just as GOOD or OP. Its not really fair you take away something from one side and not from the other.

At least implement before taking it away!

Moonlight offerings have not been a thing for ages. The only change is that people who had a stockpile from waaaaaay back in the day can no longer use them.

People with a stockpile, yes, as well as save file modders who hack them in to use them.
That being said, since moonlight offerings have been out of the bloodwebs for ages, the devs never bothered to create new maps with moonlight changes in mind because they shouldn't have existed anymore.
It's not 'laziness' that the devs didn't create maps that are incompatible with moonlight offerings - the offerings were never meant to exist at that point.

  • It's because now's the perfect opportunity to do some moments for OchiDO montages now that they're matched up with 'baby killers ez dud'.

  • BHVR have actually disabled the function of Moonlight offerings now. If you still have them on your Survivors or Killers, using them won't have any effect.
They haven't removed the offerings, but they have disabled their effect.
There was apparently a problem where players would mod their save files or something to get moonlight offerings and use New Moon Bouquets to make maps extremely dark.
But I believe BHVR also stated that, when it comes to the new maps they're creating, they haven't bothered to add different lighting levels (such as what would be determined when a Moonlight offering was used) as the offerings should no longer exist outside of Kill Your Friends. So essentially, these offerings have no effect whatsoever on certain maps.
That being said there'd be no point in keeping the offerings in Kill Your Friends either since, as stated before, none of the newer maps have any difference in lighting to accommodate Moonlight offerings.
It's easier to just disable them outright, but having disabled them entirely now, BHVR should probably remove them from the game or, just to be certain, make them completely unusable like they do with Event offerings for events that have expired.
I still have BBQ Invitations on some of my characters, but because the event has ended, they are completely unusable. BHVR should do the same thing to Moonlight offerings, effectively removing them from the game.

Good god my dude, who hurt you?
It's the fact that this player is sitting at Rank 20 Survivor with metas on their characters as to bash noobs with meta stuff.
This isn't the first case of 'Rank 15-20 Noob Stomper with metas' I've seen either. If anything, while BHVR have made it more difficult to stay at the low ranks to bully noobs, they have not made it impossible.
Which is what it should be - impossible. The fact that I got four kills that match has no bearing on the fact that this player can be trolling and being toxic to players who actually are new to the game
For what reason? Funny moments montages? Genuinely being an ass?
Either way, what this player's doing can put off newer players from actually playing the game. That's my problem - I want more people playing Dead By Daylight, we all do. But it's players like this who don't let us have such nice things.

  • It's now October and I'm still waiting for this.
Please tell me you're working on it, devs.

  • This question might be a bit complex to analyse properly, but I’ll try to make it as simple as possible;
With the idea that the Entity exists all throughout time itself and pulls people and killers in from different time periods, does the Entity bring them in over time (like bringing in a new Killer to surprise the Survivors), or are these individuals, by lore, always in the realm?

In case that question is too hard to understand, I’ll reword it here; Are Killers and Survivors, upcoming or past gone, ‘here already’, or do they show up in the Fog over time?

You do make an excellent point. Hopefully they aren't rewarding this behavior.

I recently made a Twitch account myself, but as far as I know (but I might be wrong) you don’t explicitly ‘need’ a Twitch account to watch, but if you want to use chat, sub, gift subs, give bits etc. you will need an account.
  • Survivors get 500 points in Survival for a successful grasp escape, but if the Killer intentionally drops them (R key) and they escape by that, they do not receive any points.
I agree - Survivors should gain points for wiggling out.
As it stands, Survival points can only be gained by escaping the trial, escaping the Killer’s grasp, and self-healing, as well as struggling on hook and Kobe-ing
At the very least, also make losing the Killer in a chase grant Survival points.
Survivors need more ways to gain Survival points, and points by wiggling is a good step in the right direction.
  • When the Doctor has the add-on that spawns doctor hallucinations, they are able to block flashlight beams and deny blinds.
I think the Spirit’s passive phasing apparitions may do the same thing.

Having a massive terror radius makes Unnerving Presence and Coulrophobia hit at a massive range.
Unnerving will reduce skill check zones for Snap Out Of It; Coulrophobia slows down Snap Out Of It because it counts as a healing action. Makes it insanely hard to get out of Madness 3, and difficult to do generators.

  • Only thing SWF needs changed is the rank matchmaking.
Having a single Survivor at Rank 20 makes it possible for the rest of the team of Rank 1 Survivors to get matched with a new Rank 15-20 Killer.
Having four Survivors at ranks 1, 7, 13, and 20 allows the team to be matched with ANY RANK KILLER.
SWF matchmaking should exclusively match the lobby with the highest possible rank Killer within the default range.
Rank 1-4 (red zone) Survivor in there? Get a Rank 1 Killer.
