It's so hard to find games for Survivor now on console
-
Prison map? If we get this I want Maniac Cop to go with with it, he's a really cool Killer with an awesome trilogy and his whole shtick revolves around the prison he got sent to and was ''murdered'' at.
-
I would use Infectious Fright and Knockout, so lets say you chase the first person and down them, if you hear someone nearby you go after them slugging the previous Survivor. From there you take down this 2nd Survivor and hook them for BBQ, if no one has saved the 1st Survivor hook them and then you create massive pressure with Ruin being active and 2 hooked Survivors.
When both Survivors get unhooked you'll get 2 Corrupted fountains and from here you can play off of this always making sure you have at least 1 fountain available at all times, slugging when needed.

Hey I like the start but Freddy is a normal person in the real world and can die. I think Freddy Would have to start outside of dream world, have 110% movement speed and when he puts someone to sleep he can go ape #########. He should also get stronger the more people are in there
Yeah I could have gone that route but some of my favorite Nightmare films were the ones where he was in the real world and had powers, Nightmare 2 and New Nightmare. But I didn't want to go crazy with it so I was trying to make him more human in the real world but still make it a power up. That's why his stun time is longer in the real world but shorter in the dream.
-
I'm excited :) Thana is one of my fav perks and it'll be great to use efficiently.
-
Do not bring up Iron Maiden as a buff to BBQ & Chili, it is a ######### perk done wrong. 15 seconds Exposed is nothing, if you get caught that's on you, Haunted Grounds tier 1 is 30 seconds and if you can avoid that you can avoid that ######### embarrassing disgusting 15.
That said when the new chapter comes out I will be running Iron Maiden to catch Jane's fat ass and hope it works.
-
Well once people buy the game the Devs don't make any money off of it until the next chapter and that's like 2-3 months. Cosmetics is their best form of getting paid and this is nowhere near as bad other games that force you to pay to win, pay to get by, or emotionally manipulate you into buying. I don't buy a whole lot of cosmetics but I always feel good about it, except my Nurse costumes, I play on PS4 and I regret buying those.
-
So from the way Killers actually swing their weapon it looks vertical or slightly diagonal so they might need a new animation to show how they're hitting two people so they can judge that they are in range or not. But this would be awesome, having a whole bunch of people body blocking you wouldn't be an issue for any Killer. Leatherface would still be special because he runs forward swinging and doesn't stop swinging even if he hits someone so he would still have that over everyone.
-
Well Legion kind of has a Ghostface mask with his skull, it was probably as far as they could go without getting sued.
Pig players want a maskless Amanda and I really want a New Nightmare Freddy, ma boi is so gorgeous in that dapper coat <3
-
As for Toxicity it's a great idea to not have Voice comms, it could get really bad from the Killer and visa versa from Survivors trolling. Damn I would need a mute button to play this game holy #########, F13 has voice comms and it never gets as bad as the end game chat.
-
A lot of sounds were too loud and others too soft when they updated the Engine, this was probably thought to be too loud so they softened it but sounds could always use tweaking. Maybe this should be in Balance or Bugs, tweaks something like that.
-
It's easier to buff a perk than an entire Killer power, yeah they could have waited to do the change for the perk after the Killer but Thanatophobia came with Nurse years ago and everyone knows it's weak. No reason to screw over another Killer's perk because a new Killer abuses it when the new Killer is the problem.
-
Next Thursday we have the Q&A about the PTB, I don't think they would do that after the chapter goes live since they also have some tweaks for Plague planned and need to implement them. The Q&A will probably address those and then the chapter could come out the following Tuesday.
-
@not_Queen I don't know how far along the rework is but maybe the designers might like this if they aren't far?

Thanks :) this is how Freddy should make us feel.

Gosh that rant went on forever.

I Think it has more to do with legion countering every mechanic survivors have against all killers except the nurse but unlike her legion doesn't have to use skill or knowledge to predict movements.
A good legion player will follow and get the hit everytime as they basically have the same kit as survivors but runs faster.
Jumping windows and pallets are part of the reason he always gets the hit but they would be really week without that so I am in agreement with the others with the total rework of their power, I feel it is the only thing which would solve the issue.
If they can still ignore the only things survivors have and get cheap hits I can't see it ever being fun to verse them and they can't make it fun nothing will change so it won't really be worth putting in the work to change them at all.
This my point of explaining the power and how no matter what you take out it's still hard to fix this Killer because it counters everything Survivors can do to protect themselves in a chase.
You can hide from Legion to a point and you can outrun him to a point but in a chase you can't counter him. I can't talk about Nurse because I'm on PS4 and all our Nurses suck, I'm always relieved when I see a Nurse.
Also to the Legion players, I'm not saying I don't like Legion, I love Legion just as much as you guys.

in that case, legion would also be broken. just that he wouldnt be OP, but waaay too weak.
legion is in a really weird and difficult spot... you can not rly nerf him, as he would easily enter "######### tier" (also called "Freddy tier") and you also cant rly buff him, as he would become too strong then.
legion is like the definition of poor gameplay design, while the power and idea behind him seems cool, it turns out to just be very boring.
nerfing legion is not going to work and buffing is also not going to work.
what we need is a full on power rework
The power is just too strong for the game, DW and Vaulting together makes it impossible to balance. Take out the DW he's too strong. Take out the Vaulting he still has DW and can still eventually get you, slower than before but it'll happen. IDK what they're planning for Legion but it has to be a rework yeah. If they manage to find a way to fix them then thank goodness and they deserve my money because it would be impressive.

I wish this worked for me, #########.

I LOVE FREDDY
When I first heard he was coming to DBD, I nearly lost my #########. haha I just hate to see him so low on the effective list.
Me too :) he was the main reason I got this game, I stayed because it's awesome.

I do understand his effect. The problem is his mind-game potential is MINIMAL at best. The fact that you cannot see his approach is one of his strengths, and his hum is a lower distance than a normal killer's terror radius. Therefore, if you have his ability to toggle and hold for a quicker transition, he would be much more unnerving.
Also, the Radial Dream Transition is just an addition to my main idea, the toggle AND hold. The purpose of the idea is to create tension with hiding survivors; his power is not to revolve around this concept, just be an addition.
In addition to your comment of him being a normal M1 killer, being in the Dream World does not just create an awesome tracking killer, but hinders the survivors action speed, as well as require a snap back to the real world mechanic
Thank you for the comment, though. Your insight does get me thinking and helps refine my thoughts
No problem, I forgot you mentioned the holding, Survivors knowing that Freddy can do both would def create tension on top of the radial, I like that. I love Freddy(obviously) I wasn't sure if you were one of the noob Freddy players or casual Freddy players.
-
1 or 2 max, I don't play with D-Strike as much as they want me to. I usually take it if it's early on, if it's mid-game I either slug or dribble. If the ######### piece of ######### D-Striker still has it by the Endgame then that's my fault and they deserve to get out or bleedout.

Legion forever.
So Eve, do you enjoy Legion because of the ''fan base'', the playstyle, both of those, or do you enjoy the backstory and awesome friendship that the Legion represent? I enjoy the 3rd and 2nd but refuse to go along with the ''fan base''.

@Raccoon Well i heard killing all Survivors fast doesn't pip you anymore, suggesting they want you to let them live longer.
Take it how you want.
The only thing I like about the new pip system was the hooks, it gave you some albeit small leeway on the hooks for Iridescent, 10 instead of a full 12. But they didn't add in anything for DCs, the best way to use that pip system is to award full hooks and points from DCs because that's not the Killer's fault.
-
I love Bloodhound but it is a beginner perk so I don't want to rely on it, that said I lose people very easily as Legion so I use Bloodhound on them.
-
No idea what the Devs are working on because they're tight lipped :(
The problem with your idea is that you don't understand what effect it has on him. Freddy's transition gives him mind games because Survivors can periodically see him and get tricked as to where he's actually going. If you have a radial Dream Transition then this ability is useless and he becomes a normal M1 Killer with awesome tracking. Granted Survivors will be in the DW more often and have to break out more often but he'll be just like Doctor except he can't counter loops(no shocking and no mindgames) All you'll be doing as Fred is walk around smacking people, whereas now you walk around, Transition, mind game/stalk and the smack, right now sounds more fun.

@Claudette_Baguette @GhostrickSpecter Thanks, just wanted to do some spicy stack builds
I always stack the Duration add-ons, it makes things so much easier.

Well before anyone says they should lose FF if they miss an attack, stop, this would destroy Legion on console because of FPS 360 jukes.
What if FF doesn't make the Timer go down but instead extends Mending timer? Like FF first hit makes the timer 10 sec, another FF hit increases the timer by 3 or 4 seconds, matter how far along you've Mended each hit adds more seconds and the Mending has a maximum timer so it doesn't go overboard. This way Legion can only down you with a normal hit, it doesn't matter how many times he vaults and hits you he has to use a normal slash.
-
Love it, I've been wanting to look up this word to see if it was fit for the effects but never did. I love it even more, it's one of my top perks.
-
You enjoy writing? I'm a writer, it's a huge reason I'm here besides loving the game.
As for Keys, I think we should have more things for them to unlock besides the Hatch.
-
@The_Crusader said:
It would be good but when raised before the downside was always "the killer can camp the totem".
If you had something like this you'd need like 5 totems lit with the survivors needing to take out a random 3, which wouldn't work with how totems are currently.
Did not think of that. Ok what if the totem lasted for 1 minute and every hook during that minute added 15 seconds, unless the totem was destroyed. This way the Killer now has a timer so they have to use their time effectively but the totem is still strong because they can keep stacking time by doing their Objective and hooking Survivors.
If the Killer manages to get 3 Survivors the time will eventually go out and the hatch will be available. The Killer could camp the hatch of course but that's a different argument.
Actually never mind, this new effect makes it better than Remember and Blood Warden because it then has the same effect as Blood Warden and also makes the former perk irrelevant as it won't even be used. I thought I had something going here lol
-
I'm nervous and ready, I want my boi to have respect from people who don't understand him. I want to ######### slap Survivors and laugh at them as they bleed on the ground wishing old Freddy was still here.
-
@ASurvkillivorer said:
Itd be the easiest killer trophy to get. Not sure how getting hooks on a particular map would be considered difficult. As a killer, you get hooks....
I'll take some easy points. They can trade the ridiculous Legion Deranged trophy for that idea.
I'm talking like a specific hook on the map, one hook that's only in one spot on the map. Kind of like the event hooks and you had to struggle to make your way over there or make sure you downed someone near that hook.
-
If you actually do start as the Obsession then the Killer knows you have D-Strike so they will either not tunnel you because that's a waste of time or slug you and ignore you. Well during that time crawl away from the hook or heal up and some other Survivor who isn't an idiot will get you up, hopefully within 60 seconds. If it's not within 60 seconds then your team sucks and that's why you're on the ground in the first place and now you're on 2nd stage.
The perk was trash before, it was trash, it allowed cocky ass hats to be even more of a douche. Now it's fair, Killers can hook you and if they tunnel, if they tunnel then they get punished. If they slug you then use it to your advantage, you have 1 more chance to use it.
-
I'm making a fan-made chapter with a perk that does this at 8% but I haven't made it yet because I'm trying to create a Killer for the chapter. But yes this perk needs to be in the game, regression isn't a problem for Survivors and sometimes that extra regression is what Killers need and not just kicking it.
-
I would like this as well, especially for Wraith because his bell is just bad ass, it's a skull bell and as Killer you can't see the whole thing and it's a few seconds and you aren't looking for the Bell as Survivor so we never really get to see it. A Cloaking/Uncloaking animation would be cool in the MM for Wraith.
-
It is disgusting, the Devs are working on something for Legion, they said it in a livestream, can't remember his name. Hopefully whatever they have planned helps because I love Legion too and it's wrong that this is happening.
-
ATM I'm not excited for her anymore, the only thing I want from her right now is her perks. Hopefully when the Devs let us know what their tweaks are for her I'll be excited again, I'm in love with the play style she should have, infecting and spreading disease, but she can't really do that effectively so all she can do right now is vomit on one person until their Broken. That's boring for me.
But I do love that I can knock someone down and vomit on them :D it's so humiliating <3
-
Even Killers who play ''fairly'' for everyone to have fun must camp if the door are open there is someone to save them, leaving that hook is letting them escape and failing your objective. The Survivors will try to save but any complaints they have is unwarranted, they have no grounds to complain whatsoever as they can't expect you to leave. It is your job to make sure they don't escape and this is the hardest time to defend and your last chance.
Hybrid Panda uses Blood Warden all the time because he needs it, he needs Blood Warden to help him out at the end game and that's what it's for. Blood Warden is the only other perk besides NOED that can allow you to leave the hook after the Exit is open.
-
Yep, it's annoying, like Tru3 said ''you only notice auto-aim when it screws you over''.
-
So they have a Q&A about the PTB on the 14th and the PTB usually lasts a week? So maybe on the 19th, Tuesday we'll get it live. Unless the PTB does actually last 2 weeks but I thought it was 1, they should really last 4 days since the allure of playing it declines after the first 2 days.

as a survivor main i am tired of every powerful killer getting nerfed just because entitled survivors feel that they should be able to escape every round and if they get killed then the killer must be OP, they gripe instead of just learning new tactics and and ADAPTING, they don't wanna adapt they just want it be easy. I play survivor all the time and i am tired of escaping 9/10 matches, this new killer has me excited because i miss the days when there was more uncertainty about escaping a match or not, this killer brings a way to slow down a match in a fun and challenging way and i am all for the challenge, and the moment she goes on sale on ps4 i will be going in as survivor like crazy to learn how to adapt against the killer, but if they nerf her then its pointless she will become another low/mid tier killer. I know not all survivors are entitled people that feel they should win all the time and i know there are others like me that welcome a good challenge, and as powerful as she is i see people beating her left and right on the ptb and i think she is quite balanced the only things i would change is that loud notification when a survivor cleanses themselves and maybe not let her infect hooked or downed survivors, other than that i say leave her powers alone and bring on the challenge, even if i only survive 1/10 matches for a while i can't wait cuz actually having a good challenge is what this game is about! :) bring it on.
So as a Survivor Main, how do you feel about getting infected? Does the danger of being Broken scare you into taking action, or is it something that's a minor inconvenience? Me personally, if I am left to become Broken I am just going to do the Gen, I always run Dead Hard so I'll be fine unless some idiot gives her Corrupt Purge.
-
I try to collect as many between each Killer and use those to refresh my points after spending 1 Mil on them. I rarely have more than 8k but if I do have more than 8k before the Killer comes out I just use those points when I need something.
-
One thing about the Ranking system is that if you play enough you will eventually get to Rank 1 because of experience. That's all the Red Ranks represent, experience. It's not something to accomplish it's something that happens through time, I have not gotten to the Red Ranks yet I've only gotten to 8 but despite everything I just said lol I don't want to play with uber experienced players where it's not fun anymore.
-
Toxic players continue to confuse me with their ''logic'' and ''methods''. I chase them and down them, DC. I manage to dribble them to the hook to deny their D-Strike, DC. 1 Survivor left because all their teammates are dead, they make as much noise as possible so they can lure me over there to watch them jump in. Or in some cases like you to watch them leave the game, if I have time I just never show up, I deny them the satisfaction of me showing them out. They can jump all they want over that pallet but I'll go to Youtube and watch my shows while having a snack.
Of course then you get Survivors who have both Exits open and refuse to leave until you give them the hatch, I despise those wastes of space. I long for Endgame fixes where I can dominate these sacks of bile and bathe in their blood as the Entity takes them.
-
This actually makes sense, players could accurately test the new Killers with every perk instead of the ######### perks that show up in the Bloodweb and never find out something doesn't work until the live version.
Also players like me who only play on PS4 but play the PTB won't be entirely singled out in testing things. I couldn't test out the D-Strike because I hadn't bought Laurie, I was able to test out Jane as Jane and studio testers do that.

Trust me, shes not addon dependant at all.
Indeed, here's Tru3 playing her flawlessly without add-ons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89ywFaSFP6c
-
The very max I can get with 1 mil is 35, yeah that's pretty far but I never fully play a Killer until the late 40's because you just don't have enough add-ons and most of the time the perks you get is so jumbled you can't pair any of them together. And it's bullshit you can get to 50 and not get Tier 2 on your own teachables.
-
Finally we get another Hag outfit, she's been neglected. I'm most excited about the Trapper outfit.
