Yes you will be able to see what walls are breakable. You already can see them in Lery's.

    Interesting, that's sweet.

they will be obvious which walls, the appearance will change depending on the domain (maps). will not be a scare action as there will be an animation, however there might be some examples where you have insane breaking abilities or killers like oni using his ability to smash the wall down as he charges to it, if youre on the other side that might be an "oh Shite moment"

Yeah I saw the image another commenter posted, hopefully these are actually useful and not just a band-aid fix and wastes more time but actually fun. I can totally see this being fun with the Saw Bros and Oni, Demo might actually be scary with this.

Sorry but you will need to grind for it, all 6 parts of both sets are in the free tier of the rift...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/464/B1DBFUNMESXN.jpg

...they are in tiers 7,15,39,47,66 and 70 respectively

you need to complete all the tiers to get all the parts!

Omg the Lantern is in this 😱 I forgot about the charms, do you know if charms are coming into the shop or not? I haven't been playing for a while but when Tome 1 released I was already kind of burnt out to begin with so maybe I'll feel more energized than I was when this one comes. Thankfully the good stuff is free.

I am vastly disappointed that if I want the one outfit I have been waiting months for I actually have to play the game to get it

Is that not reasonable? Why would you want the cosmetic if you're not going to play the game?

True but the point is that I have to play at a specific time period and if I don't play and grind within that period then I have to wait even longer to get it. I can buy all the cosmetics I've been missing since I went on break but this specific one I need to play at a certain time for who knows how long or I can wait half a year and hopefully my interest is still in the game.

Basically my complaint is the same one that people had for Event cosmetics, they weren't around to earn them so they couldn't get them which makes sense but hopefully those Event costumes are coming back every time they have that specific event, this is a Rift not an event so it's different. Basically I want to enjoy this costume during a time where I actually enjoy the game instead of waiting 6 months and hopefully when it releases to the public again I am still enjoying it, maybe not. If I had quit the game by the time it gets releases publicly then I won't care about the costume and I would never have used it or added it to my collection because it would then be worthless to me; I'm thinking ahead.

I understand my disappointment is strange and makes no sense but it does makes sense to me since it is my personal problem I'm dealing with. On the lighter side though it looks like the costumes are in the Free track so in a way no one has to buy them to get them which is nice, I just realized that.

Ngl the fake spots suggestion helps killers and survivors

But I got a question/idea what if some fake spots injure you to keep people on their toes. Would it be fair?

Not really, I once had an idea where Hex totems would ''defend'' themselves and would injure the Survivor who broke it, it was received very negatively.

I would suggest maybe inflict a random status effect like Broken or make them scream but then it might feel too much like ''Last Year'' where Fiends trap boxes that explode with gas.

This is a very good idea! However I'd imagine that Bhvr. would put this idea on the infinite back-burner as of right now since there's a lot more pressing demand to buff the weaker killers on the roster lineup.

Hopefully Legion is on that list, though I wouldn't be complain if Pig got hers next <3

  • I think the new Ruin is interesting but like everyone has said, Hexes don't last to the end game.

I'm not playing the PBT but I'm assuming the Survivors have a notification you're using Ruin so they go look for the totem and then because totems have horrible placements they get destroyed instantly, I frequently spawn on Hex totems despite the amazing line of sight check that ALWAYS WORKS. This is because the old maps were not designed for totems while new maps like Hawkins were created with totems in mind so it was easier to find good spots. I haven't been to the reworked Lery's so I am assuming the new totem spawns are amazing and fun, if not then my previous statement is false.

If all possible totem spots were covered with leaves or boxes and then Survivors had to move that object to find if a totem is there or not then it would take longer because

1---they're wasting their time interacting with a fake spot

2---the amount of fake spots is the strength and outweighs the obvious locations which BHVR can't get away from so this is a win for them 100%

I'm not saying Ruin shouldn't be a Hex totem but I am saying that no matter what the Devs say, totems are inherently flawed because of their inability to put them in spots that aren't super obvious and in direct line of sight of spawns and near Gens.

Honestly, once killers don't use ruin, they'll find better anti gen perks and combos. Then the survivors will complain about those. It's going to be never ending and it makes me sad

Thankfully the Ruin change doesn't hurt me as much as it does others, I prefer Devour Hope and Thana over Ruin.

It's not like they'll fix it then anyway. Ruin will have to literally never be used for them to think they need to change it

It's disgusting, they think because it's popular it's too powerful, maybe it's popular because it helps alleviate problems the Devs refuse to fix? No? Guess Killers are just bias.

  • @Hex_KillerMainBTW said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/969896#Comment_969896

Oh, absolutely not. Isn't it funny how they want to change doctor so he can't give survivors exhaustion anymore? Meanwhile they want to make one of the most viable killer perks obsolete? I hope they give killers more perks that counter exhaustion perks in the future. Because isn't it so fair and definitely not annoying to go against survivors that'll 99% their sprint burst? Absolutely terrible.

The entire update is them saying how it is for Survivors but not once did they ever say why it was hard for Survivors, 80% of users use Ruin is not an indication it is super powerful but an indication the game is fundamentally flawed, which they refuse to acknowledge. I'm watching Tru3 read the notes and it's making me more depressed to hear it out-loud than me reading it myself. I haven't been playing since Oni is released and I am not being motivated to come back.

  • @Hex_KillerMainBTW said:

So I'm going to say it now. The fact it's a hex perk and the devs seem to think it'll last that long in the game is amusing. Just make it a base perk instead. You'll be lucky if it lasts a minute and a half not to mention looking for survivors who'll split up so you chase one person while others work on different gens. But now they want to try and get killers to use Pop, surge, and other anti gen perks that normally just effect one gen. Yes, surge and thrilling can effect multiple gens (mainly thrilling tremors) while you're lucky to hit maybe 2-3 gens with surge. Just, please do us a favor and make it a permanent perk.

I didn't mention that in my post but yeah, like I mentioned I made my own version of this which is better. But then again I need clarification on the math lol Hexes are bad perks because Survivors know all of the obvious spots that are in their face when they spawn, I constantly spawn next to Ruin so nothing about this perk changes except that it is weaker because it doesn't slow down gens and will get broken immediately, which they didn't change since that was the glaring problem Killers had which they didn't seem to care about in this update.

  • For the Doctor changes, I think if you can reset the Survivor's Snap Out of It progress by shocking them again then it would be fair and balanced for both Killer and Survivor, but other than that I think the Doc changes are ok. But I don't really play Doc because I find him boring so my opinion might not be well informed.

Ruin changes--I don't have an opinion until the PTB. The changes might be good, they might not. But what is true is that the Devs have no intention on helping anyone with Gen speeds and how easy it is to do Gens. Gen regression speed is something we've been wanting for a long time though.

Disclaimer--I haven't been playing since Oni's release because of the Devs refusal to respect Legion players. They ignored us no matter what they said, 3 second stun for a completely harmless and non-lethal power is necessary and has been in feedback for almost a year.

  • @Hex_KillerMainBTW said:

Nope. Literally the only perk that combos off with this is surveillance. Because it's regressing on it's on, surge won't proc off of it. Basically the two perks you can combo it with is Thrilling and Surveillance.

Oh I meant Surge works with Surveillance so Hex Ruin with Surveillance would show you what Gens are regressing while Surge hits multiple Gens in the area.

  • We need to wait until the PTB to complain, they refuse to listen to feedback until then.

  • So does this mean the devs are justified in ignoring our complaints about Legion? Does this mean they aren't going to be getting the respect they deserve instead of the half assed changes they received that weren't even what the communityy asked for? I'm specifically talking about the Mangled and Broken add-ons, we asked them to be on hit and you guys thought that was funny and didn't do that.

Does this mean Legion is fine?

Is Legion going to get that 3 second stun that everyone has been begging for for almost a year now? It's the one thing we really need and that still hasn't been implemented, this data is not good enough to deny something so simple that makes playing Legion feel good and easy to use. Frankly this post feels more like a stop complaining post and that your choices were justified.

  • @Atrushan88 said:

I've taken month long breaks and forgotten controls a few times but after a warmup game or two i'm fine.

Well the problem is that I don't get to play Killer as much as I'd like because I live at my job so I usually only have time to play Survivor. The Ranking system does not reflect skill, it reflects how much fun you let the Survivors have so I can do a really ######### job as Killer and still pip up and rank up and go against good teams while I am over here still trying to figure remember all the complicated strategies. I rely on the rank reset so I can have a hope of going against players who are near my skill level but if my Rank is always going to be high then I am perpetually going against good teams and I only derank because of the unfairness and my inability to play very often and not because of my lack of skill. The silver lining though is that we might have more people who suck at this game at the higher ranks because the game says they're good when they're not so maybe my fears are unwarranted. If the Ranking system was actually good and paid attention to skill and not a checklist then I wouldn't be having this problem.

  • I highly doubt they got changed too much if at all, I mean they just flat out ignored Legion players when we complained about the 4 second stun because it wasn't in the list of Legion changes that came out. I can imagine them not paying attention to the community about this even though it was complained about since day 1. I will be happy to be wrong though, very happy to see them paying attention to a legitimate concern.

  • Ugh, no, no that 55% is way too strong for 30 seconds even if it goes away in chase or in prox to the Killer. For reference, Clown with Bleach Hinders Survivors to 20% and that's pretty darn slow so 55% would be tippy toe move an inch you'll break every bone in your body slow.

Regardless of that though, this is really good perk and I would love it <3

Hopefully a Dev sees it, cross all your fingers and chant very loudly.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/901157#Comment_901157

Personally, RNG shouldn't decide whether you live or go on a hook. Same thing applies too totems, RNG shouldn't decide if it lasts 10 seconds or 3 minutes. So even if it blocked a vault for killers it wouldn't matter because you're still gonna be taking a hit or going down. The killer doesn't need vaults unlike survivor.

I can respect that, we enjoy different game-play elements.

  • I think the Devs are balancing the game around 4v1 BUT have multiple Killers who are designed for a 1v1 and that causes issues. This isn't why the game is unbalanced though, it is imbalanced because the team behind that part are scared of doing their job so they make it difficult for everyone instead of fun.

Trapper---Theoretically he should be really strong, he can turn the map into a danger zone and create massive snowballs. He is weak though because he was never designed to be in this game from the beginning in the Beta. He has always been forced to travel around the entire map with 1 trap and in the Beta put traps down very slowly, the maps were also incredibly huge with way more windows than there are now including pallets. He was never designed or balanced from his conception for this game. That is not a 1v1 or 4v1 balancing problem, that's a design problem.

Clown is a 1v1 Killer which is amazing and I love him, chases are very entertaining and if you know what you're doing then you'll be a great Clown. He has no map pressure though, because is a 1v1 he lacks 4v1 capabilities and have to use enhanced tactics to win and spread around pressure. This is in the form of perks, if he isn't using perks to cover his weakness he might not get a lot of kills.

The difference between those two Killers is that they are designed around either 4v1 or 1v1 but Trapper has more problems than Clown because of how he was designed for this game, that's an issue with the team needing their priorities fixed and not whether they should be balancing around 1v1 or 4v1.

  • Being camped sucks, camping for no reason shows lack of skill, but there are reasons to camp.

Camping is impossible to get rid of in this game without completely overhauling how the Killer gets kills works, it's that simple. You can't block the Killer from entering a radius of the Survivor as that is just as unfair as the camping itself and it also means that Borrowed Time has less of a chance to work. You can't teleport the Killer far away every time they hook someone because that would screw over the Killer 100% of the time and will get abused; the game would be almost impossible to win.

Now all of those things I said are directed towards the Killer and that may seem bias but it is fair because that Killer is a human being, they're also playing the game and contrary to popular belief the Killer is only thing keeping this game alive, no Killers no game. There are many tools Survivors have to battle against camping and none of them will work 100% of the time and like I said earlier they can't get rid of camping without completely changing the game.

You need to use valid strategies and hope your new player friends have thick skin because only people with thick skin play this game and stick around.

  • @BunnyTheHutt said:

I like the idea, but I feel it could be unfair like a Crit rocket in TF2. Imagine running from a killer only too be blocked by the Entity because of random chance. Or the killer happens too walk in on you being attacked by crows, and you have too take a hit or get insta downed.

I like the concepts, but it would be way too similar too hex totems. It would be unfair for survivors.

Well that's the point, these are supposed to make it difficult at random times within the game. I had another person suggest that the Entity Blockers stop Killers from Vaulting too, I think that's fair as it's different from Bamboozle or a normal EB. This could randomly save or kill a Survivor depending on the chase.

As for Crows, I want to avoid that situation where a Killer is close-by and you get attacked by Crows making it an easy hit or down. It isn't supposed to help Killers get downs I want it to just be an interaction so I guess it needs a defined radius at all times instead of just after a chase.

  • @Johnble said:

It would be cool if killers were subject to the entity's interference as well being that everyone involved is there ultimately for the Entity's benefit.

I think that's fair, tbh it would make sense lore-wise as well because The Entity isn't on anyone's side, it kidnapped everyone regardless if they want to be there so the EB stopping Killers from Vaulting too would make sense. It would def make some losing situations for Survivors but also help them too.

  • @Cornpopers_Evan said:

I agree with you, I'd love to see them break the whole "no A.I" thing. I mean they kinda have already with the tutorial.

Exactly, there is a lot more that can be done with this game if they branch out into other areas. They don't have to completely change the game or sacrifice their vision for it but this game has problems that they aren't dealing with and maybe A.I can fix them.

  • I already know who I would avoid 100% of the time, every time I am in a match with him it sucks because of his attitude.

  • @Kind_Lemon said:

I hate Freddy. I think, Why should I not just make my grave on the ground right now? Dream snares can be spammed to prevent any kind of minor looping, and since the snares make sound, there is no way to stealth over them. Also PGTW and/or Surge. That really makes for an unfun, can't do anything game.

Mainly, I despise his lunge animation, successful hit animation, walking animation, and any associated sound.

Freddy is my all time favorite Killer to play lol I have never seen someone hate him so much but I'm sure this would make him happy.

  • I'm taking a break from this game, this has gotten me so depressed I can't even have fun playing Survivor or even the new Killer. I don't have faith in the devs, they give us cookie cutter responses and those responses just show they aren't listening. If they were listening then they would know that we feel they aren't paying attention and that their design choices are flawed, so flawed it is obvious someone on the team shouldn't be working in this field.

We have complained for almost a year that the 4 second stun is too long and that was not even considered to be a change.

We have complained for almost a year that the Pin add-ons need to be on hit and they give us this mess we didn't ask for.

They aren't listening and I'm done playing until they fix their #########. When Legion gets fixed I'll be back, not even a new chapter will bring me back because they always do something stupid with the perks and nerf them to being useless; Cruel Confinement for example.

I'll probably stalk the forums though because there are cool people on here that I enjoy conversing with :) Until I get banned for something stupid.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891765#Comment_891765

Nope, if you hit one Survivor, they get a 3% debuff. You hit another? Those two now have a 6%. Think of it as a small Thana. It still doesn't affect the rate at which you are healed and it doesn't affect Survivors not afflicted with FS.

OK so even if you don't have Thana Survivors will still want to heal, kind of like a better Plague since Survivors don't have a reason to cleanse. OK yeah this would work then.

  • Probably for the same reason Cruel Confinement was nerfed, too powerful.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891456#Comment_891456

The 3% stacks per Survivor afflicted. I saw the problem with Plague, no debuff. 12% isn't a lot, but it is an incentive. I have to balance with Thana and Dying Light in mind.

Oh it's PER Survivor afflicted? I thought everyone just got a flat 3.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891383#Comment_891383

My important question is, will it help them out of D-tier or do I need to add more? If I do, what would you recommend?

So I re-read it, I was incredibly bummed out when I read it the first time, and I do have questions now.

So the Legion we have now encourages players to pinball between Survivors with DW and the Pin add-ons, basically it says use your power even if they're injured. Your version doesn't have this. Once you hit everyone with FS they all have the 3% and if they choose not to heal then they're always a 1 shot but then you have no reason to use your ability anymore; you'd be exactly like Plague. Once she Breaks everyone she has no use for her ability anymore until someone cleanses, once everyone is injured by Legion they have no reason to use their power and it takes a long time to get their power back so it isn't even worth using to travel around the map since that would be a waste since it takes 30 seconds to do it again.

This version of Legion has no use for their power once everyone is injured, they become a M1 Killer. You can use FS to vault windows in a chase but that's stupid because of the stun which even if it is 3 seconds it is still enough time to get to a window or pallet meaning you wasted your time by using your ability. Why should Legion pinball between Survivors once they're injured? If they heal then they do but once they're injured it doesn't do anything.

  • I like this, it doesn't add anything they don't already have it just changes what they actually do and some values.

I really like the 3rd FS stab on an injured Survivor downing them, that encourages Survivors to heal and not just walk around injured. And to be honest it almost isn't even necessary since they're already injured so it's kind of a placebo effect of a power and if Survivors complain about that they don't understand that if you're injured you can get downed lol

The 3% debuff is fine and almost not worth it but you can stack it with Thana and Dying without it being oppressive. Legion is fast and using his power isn't punishing and nor does it actually inconvenience Survivors at all since they're just loud and bleeding everywhere and the debuff is negligible.

I would be happy with this and the change is super simple since it's changing very little.

  • ''Hey can we have a 3 second stun?''

''No, I'm going to make your power less useful but I'll make you faster to compensate.''

''But I'm still punished when I use my power.''

''I can't make knee jerk reactions to something you've been complaining about for almost a year.''

''The speed buff to Legion is not a buff though, it was you reverting a huge nerf you put on them.''

''Ok that's it now your power is even weaker, DW is now effected by sprinting and no longer connected you at all so you can't control it.''

Why even bother complaining anymore when they don't understand what's going on. We asked for the Pin add-ons to be on hit and they straight up ignored us and made it on the 2nd person leaving the first person you hit with 0 pressure since Mending is crap and the Pin won't work on them and you're not chasing them. That makes no sense, that's stupid, in what world is that a good idea, oh my bad it's good for the Survivor because they don't have to suffer.

  • Been a few days now and I still haven't gotten this challenge, I'm doing Killer challenges so that I can get around it and skip it :(

  • @Plaquer said:

Huh, thats very odd, personally I really hate Freddy since he slows the game down so much, and Spirit since a good spirit will kill you no matter what you do, just guessing against a spirit isn't really that fun for me, but to each their own, but just dont act like its skill, its entirely a dice roll since a good spirit will catch you no matter what

Well I'm that weird guy who really enjoyed facing Nurse before her changes, now that was a damn challenge. I don't face many Nurses so I can't tell if she's easier to get away from or harder but from what I've been hearing Nurse players say it's probably easier to get away.

  • @TAG said:

Wasn't one of of the patch note changes that Survivor debuffs aren't mentioned until they become relevant?

Yeah I saw that but they listed some specific perks so I assumed this just wasn't one of them.

  • Putting traps directly under Survivors on a hook.

I wasn't here when that was a thing but it looked cool lol

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

good the perk should work like devour hope and only notify at 3 tokens you'd obviously have to be observant before 3 tokens

    @chase131119 said:

I had a game too where I wasn't told about it. I was healing a random survivor and a lullaby skillcheck came and I just went "they have lullaby??? Since when?"

It's really how it should work though, to be honest. Honestly I would love if they wouldn't tell us if killers had a hex perk, we'd have to figure it out ourselves. I'd find so much joy in that :)

I hope this doesn't turn out to be a bug.

  • Yes, please.

This ''bug'' was so helpful and informative. If I know I have a Rank 14 in my lobby and I'm Rank 7 then I know that I need to be more proactive and not rely on my teammates as much as I need to be the one to help them instead.

  • I feel this way too, I don't even feel like complaining about anything in this game anymore ever since this whole debacle. They don't listen to us, we said Pins need to be on hit and they decided to bamboozle us with making that 2nd hit on a second Survivor, it's the same scenario as someone isn't effected by the add-on. When everyone gathered around for Nurse changes the Devs answered, when everyone cried out for Spirit changes the Devs answered, when everyone is crying out for Legion changes they ignore the entire playerbase lol

Changing Legion isn't as difficult as the Devs may think, all of us here have come up with over a dozen of changes ranging from small tweaks to complete reworks, the entire community has basically created an entire fix for Legion and they decided to take the harder route instead and make it as complicated as possible and in the process make Legion players suffer because they felt it was ok.

''Hey can we have a 3 second stun time?''

''Nah fam nah, I'm making your power less effective so other players don't have to suffer''.

    ''Uh what?''

''On second thought I'm making it completely non-lethal so it doesn't make Survivors have to worry about it''.

    ''Please, stop''.

  • I've encountered this bug once so far thankfully but I think other people I've played with have gotten it. I don't know how it triggers but I do hope it doesn't happen again, seeing as this post is about Killers activating it and not Survivors though confuses me as when I got it it just happened. I totally get that saying how it works will just influence people to use it so I'm not baiting anyone, I just didn't know this was a thing the Killer caused, like how do you know someone is suffering from it?

  • This entire Deep Wounds fiasco has gotten me so down, it's ######### like this that makes me wish Legion never came to DBD, BHVR has done nothing but torment those poor fictional kids and ruined Borrowed Time to the point where it's a joke.

  • Can you post a photo? I thought it was fixed and I was excited to finally use it. I guess I can just use it and see though.

  • I'm glad I don't use Blanced Landing, I am very happy the reduced speed from landing is only when not exhausted, that part of the perk was completely broken and unfair. I will say however the noise reduction should be all the time, that's a passive that should stay as it's pretty cool and would offset the other part. If the Killer can't hear you landing well then that's just as good as Quick and Quiet.

  • @UlvenDagoth said:

There's no point in even posting this anymore. They proved they don't care what the community thinks with the Deep Wounds change etc. Also Legion was no where near perfect, as most of the community thought they were one of the weakest Killers.

I feel the same, I don't feel like we're being listened to. I just hate quitting on things I care about.

  • They also didn't listen to many complaints players had which is also the reason for the PTB.

  • I really hope the Devs are actually listening to our complaints but it really feels like they aren't. Everyone has said what has been plaguing Legion and those were the things they didn't change. Everyone said the PTB changes were bad and they have not addressed our concerns, worries, and lack of trust in the direction they're taking.

Everyone has said since day 1 ''the 4 second stun is too long'' and ''the pin add-ons need to be on hit'' and those were the two things they decided to completely ignore. They did touch the Pin add-ons but decided to take in a direction that was ALMOST what we wanted and still bad.

Changing something from taking 2 hits to activate to activating on the 2nd person is STILL 2 HITS TO ACTIVATE

  • Yep, their big plan to make Legion no longer exploit THEIR OWN ABILITY was to make it not lethal at all or any bit of a detriment to the Survivor...great idea guys.

  • All Legion needs is that SWEET 3 second stun and get rid of that awful blinding FOV and Legion is good to go.

Also fix the Legion pins to be on hit instead of on the 2nd person.

  • Legion made BT athreat and because it was such a problem BHVR changed BT and Deep Wounds to the point that Legion's power is no threat to a Survivor at all, they might as well not even apply DW.

They're crippling Legion's ability one patch at a time because it is too strong and this would be ok IF they actually listened to feedback and decreased FF stun time and actually fixed the Pin add-ons instead of the stupid choice they did this time.

Every time they touch Legion they buff them in one area but cripple them further in another, that's not balance unless the buffs are good enough which they are not for reasons stated above. Legion needs the Devs to actually pay real attention to them instead of the little changes they made this time that feel like they weren't paying attention to the real problems.

    Legion is NOT FINE.

It is NOT OK to have a 4 second stun time when no other Killer in the game gets that. It is NOT OK to nerf half of a Killer's ability and not buff the other half and I say again this would have been the case if they fixed the stun time which every single Legion player has asked for since day 1 of this inception almost a year ago yet wasn't considered.

The one change everyone has been begging for was not considered.
