  • I bought Death Stranding and the new Star Wars almost a week ago and I'm still playing this, yeah it's my favorite game right now lol

I talk a lot of smack and criticize hard but the only reason I do those things is because I care about what I'm playing and I'm under the impression they listen to feedback which they do sometimes so that's why I probably sound annoyed most of the time. But I still love this game <3

Right, ultimately you're theory crafting. Which is fine survivors do have a lot of strength, but so do killers. Most players aren't Monto, or Puppers, or Noob3, and just aren't going to be able to pull off near perfect play like that. Going into a game as killer expecting all survivors to have that kind of skill, or balancing the game around "professional DBD players" would be a huge mistake.

Well from what I've heard the Devs goal is to balance solo players to the level of SWF players, I personally don't know how I feel about that, I don't. But it is very evident that they intentionally design weak Killers and balance them towards solo players and they have said once the solo is up to SWF level then the Killers can be buffed.

The depip squad experiment was over a year ago(getting close to 2), and that was the very last video. Do you know how many survivor nerfs have come since then?

So you think if they came back they couldn't do it again? Maybe we should ask them nicely and see what happens.

A few questions if I may.

What rank do you play survivor at?

What rank are you playing at when you dab so hard on killers?

As killer, have you ever destroyed a team of survivors before they get a single gen done?

As survivor, do you survive every game?

As survivor, do you go every game without taking a single hit or down?

I watch a few streamers who have poured thousands of hours into the game that don't have the same success to which you seem to be claiming. One last question.

Do you believe your anecdotal evidence should outweigh the statistics that account for the experience of the playerbase as a whole?

Tiny misunderstanding I guess I needed to clarify in my comment.

Most of the things in my comment are things that Survivors can do, not what I have done personally, except for the Hillbilly and the Legion part that I have done. I was trying to convey how much power a skilled Survivor has if they know what they are capable of with what this game provides. The scenario with the hook and the locker is a valid scenario that can happen and has basically almost happened within what I said minus the locker part and the blind as I am crap with flashlights. Looking back at my comment I can see how it looks like I was saying I was that skilled instead of what I was actually trying to say; I'll have to edit it but my point in it is still valid. Solo Survivors can be just as amazing as SWF if they understand how the game works, if you do not understand the fundamentals of loops, distance, speed, abilities, etc you will lose every time because you aren't paying attention. But if you understand those things you can loop for 5 gens, you can deny the Killer every hook and any kill, the De-Pip Squad proved that not me; if you don't know who that is then look it up on Youtube.

As far as your questions though my highest Survivor Rank has been 4 because at 5 I get the worst teams who are just selfish and get me killed. As a Killer I have gotten games where I killed everyone before 1 Gen was done and it was purely because the Survivors were brain dead Altrusitic idiots who thought they were good; their cockiness got them killed basically. I do not Survive every game no, I die most games but that's because I care more about getting my team out than myself and sometimes I'm an idiot; risky plays basically. Very rarely do I escape without getting hit, that only happens if the Killer is either very bad or they got Gen rushed to hell because of various reasons.

  • I play Survivor and Killer, do you? This game is geared towards Survivors, that is why D-Strike was invented and even after the change remains powerful.

I can run a Killer around for 5 Gens, I've done it to a Hillbilly and a Spirit and her nerf hasn't come out yet. I made Legion my ######### several times and I'm talking about the OG Legion on release, I was on the PS4 so that did help. As a Survivor I can make my friend completely immune to damage and make the Killer blinded at the same time then hop into a locker silently then stun the Killer before they can she my friend, then my entire body blocks and takes hits so everyone can run out of the Exit. Not me personally but a Survivor who understands how the game works can do those things, the De-Pip Squad proved this several times and terrifies every Killer to this day.

Clown can throw bottles that make you slow, Trapper can waste the ENTIRE GAME setting up 4-5 traps, Billy has the simplest mind game when it comes to pallets and that it is the only reason I don't like facing him and Demogorgon as well.

Survivors have the advantage and those statistics don't prove anything, you can die in all of your matches and STILL be a damn god against the Killer, you can die and 2 pip. The Killer can kill the entire team and get a de-pip.

  • Level 3 comes on the 27th, they are usually a week or two apart

  • Surge could be buffed in different ways, it has a 40 second cooldown for an 8% regression which is disgusting but if the cooldown was just removed it could be ok. Sure the 8% is still bad but you can constantly apply if you're downing people. Or just boost it to 15% like you said and call it square.

Cruel Confinement used to be 32 meters, the balance is so scared of this one, oof. I think making like you said to confine Vaults around the Killer instead of the Gen would be awesome and actually useful and scary to go against. During the PBT where they didn't listen to our suggestions for it I said maybe the perk should effect all Vaults on the map after the last Gen is done so it could work just like Bitter Murmur.

Mindbreaker's biggest problem besides the 3 seconds is that once you complete half the Gen the Exhaustion goes away. I think it should be tweaked to where you need to let go of the Gen first before it starts, not a big change but it at least is somewhat stronger. Maybe up the Exhaustion to 5 seconds so it would take longer in a chase to get rid of it, 3 seconds is one pallet and a window but probably just 1 pallet, sure that will be a hit depending on what perk you have but come on guys, how about you make a perk strong for once?

Iron Maiden, though it is Legion's perk also needs a buff.

It's actually a World of Warcraft reference, but thanks.

Yes, when BHVR first released the store, for a limited time, if you purchased an item from the store, you got the bloodletting shirt as a bonus, for free. Same goes for Deathgarden, if you purchased the game, you got the cosmetics as a bonus, for free.

Haven't played WoW but I have played Warcraft 3, Sylvanas was my fav character.

  • So it would be similar to Freddy using his rope add-ons, also similar to the OG Freddy. With Freddy all it takes is to Wake Up, you can choose to wake up or you can stick with it. In theory you can choose to keep Deep Wounds and have this debuff or you can Mend but just like Freddy you can apply it very easily.

They would have to call Legion's DW something else because it is tied to Borrowed Time, I've been seeing this idea a lot lately, they were saying it's basically the Begrimed effect that the saw bros and Huntress have.

Give us the 3 second stun and this then Legion is perfect, also fix the Pin add-ons for real this time instead of tricking us with this illusion of taking away 2 hits to apply it.

  • So Doctor is next, probably coming in the next Mid-Chapter, after that I don't know who is next to receive big changes.

IMO these Killers need help--Trapper(biggest changes), Pig, Leatherface, Legion, & Clown.

Trapper has problems that add-ons can't fix, this game was not designed around his power so his problem is more in-depth than something add-ons can fix.

Pig is amazing and just needs small tweaks, faster Crouch speed and some add-on changes.

Leatherface is weird, not sure what they can do to him to be honest but his main problem is that everyone hates playing against him but at the same time his power is very limiting and doesn't offer anything except a quick down.

Legion has been strung along for a while now and either needs a rework or the Devs can actually pay attention them and what the community is actually saying about them; none of this crap they're doing in the new chapter. Sure the changes are good, thank you, but other changes are just weird or lessens the viability of them and in the case of the Pin add-ons weren't done correctly, if any of the devs say that the way the Pin add-ons were done is good then they aren't paying attention; I made an entire post about why.

Clown is strong but his problem is that he has no map pressure, his power is completely non-lethal and doesn't hinder them at all in any way shape or form, he's the only Killer like that. His power just needs some more depth in my opinion and that's it, he feels unfinished.

  • Which video is that? I've never heard of anyone doing those things, I know the perk icons are totally fine they said that was ok.

  • I tried playing Trapper seriously but my goodness he feel like the most perk dependent Killer of the game, his power is such a burden to him. Maybe if the stats get low enough or bad enough they'll finally give some real changes instead of just add-ons? I know I'm bad with him and need practice but you don't need experience to see something is inherently flawed in his design.

  • I love Clown, he's so jolly and fun, even when he gets hit by a pallet he laughs.

He is quite slow when he reloads and I actually switch between reload speed and reload movement speed quite often because I don't know which is better. Reloading takes a while but not being able to move while reloading is also damaging and hurts his pressure so maybe if they did let him move normally that would help.

I personally just want more depth to his power, add more into it basically since it's just throwing a bottle that helps in the chase you're currently in.

Ohh clown player! What is your typical build on him? :)

Well the Bloodweb refuses to give me Enduring so I suffer a lot lol

My current build until is Ruin, Brutal Strength, BBQ &Chili, and Pop Goes The Weasel, sometimes I change Ruin for Devour Hope to sacrifice early game pressure for a late game surprise.

Another build I sometimes find successful is Surge, Surveillance, BBQ, and whatever I feel like using as the 4th, this combo works well when they Survivors have already screwed themselves with the Gens and you're protecting the hopefully 3 closest ones. Surge saves a lot of time and Surveillance tells you when your goodies are being touched.

My ideal build is pretty simple, Enduring, Thanatophobia, STBFL, and any totem, DudeDelicious has been getting amazing results with Third Seal so I'll be trying that. Basically this build covers all areas, I'm not afraid of pallets and I make them more deadly, Survivors want to heal to do Gens faster, I can attack them very fast and with my bottles it's especially dangerous, and then totems distract them.

When I play Clown I really look for builds that either effect Survivors I'm currently not chasing or make my chases even more dangerous, I think that's the way to go with him.

  • I love your name, I really hope that if Bethesda doesn't create a disgusting cash cow for TES 6 we get the option to become a lich, it's my all time favorite fantasy creature.

Anyway, I paid for DG, never played it as I don't like shooters all that much despite playing F4 and Bioshock lol I paid them to support them as their game designs seemed far superior and balanced compared to this game. Seeing as that game is F2P though, everyone who bought the game oh well it doesn't matter because people can still download the game for free and get the cosmetics, so as of now you don't need to spend money to get those masks so they don't actually qualify as something you need to pay for anymore.

The Bloodletting thing though, I don't know much about, that was a store thing they don't have anymore I think? Sucks we can't get those and that they can't sell them again, why not sell them in the new store? Or create variations of those and sell them, something like that if it's such a big deal. Though I don't like Survivors wearing Killer avatars and insignia on their clothes, just seems weird they would have Trapper's face on their shirt and then get killed by Trapper.; that's some sweet masochism right there ;)

  • Because the Killer emblems are dictated by Survivor fun I just stopped trying to get the Adept, it is way too much work for a reward that I might not get because Emblem system requires a lot for it. Kill them too fast and you Gate Keeper is iridescent but then your Chaser and Devout are Bronze or Silver because the Survivors sucked...you won too fast so you don't win...that's stupid.

  • I hope they keep it, stun me, I use my power and then they go down 30 seconds later, much less if I'm running the Frank combo. This is the same thing with the new Beast of Prey, I was annoyed they overlooked Legion this hard but maybe this was on purpose and these were intentional so Legion players can actually be this weird threat that they used to be.

I think that would be really stupid though, just buff Legion for real yo, don't do something weird; don't sell us perks so a different Killer can be strong.

  • I made a comment here but edited it, don't want to get banned for something stupid.

  • The OG MoM was too strong and too easy to get, my Devour Hope stacks are harder and more fair, that said I am very excited for the updated MoM as I have been wanting to use it since it released but refuse to use perks that are not fair; because I am a decent human being who care about others.

Any Means Necessary is going to be interesting, I don't see it as a real perk, just something memey like Diversion, it has its place but it definitely isn't good. But maybe I'm wrong, I tend not to break pallets if I don't need to when the Survivor is either brave or stupid and run away from the loop so in that scenario the perk is good; but only that scenario.

  • So it all comes down to what Killer you're playing and if you're good at them, all Killers apply pressure in their own way except Clown; unless you count your skill with him as pressure but I don't.

When I play Freddy my pressure comes from how disadvantaged I make Survivors, I play dirty as Freddy as we all should when we put on that glove. I use Knockout, Thana, Devour, and either Dying Light or STBFL. That build is amazing for slowing down Survivors applying pressure with healing, finding their friends, and a deadly totem, all combined with me smacking them in the face; beautiful pressure.

If I'm playing Ghostface though I have to apply pressure differently as their strengths and weaknesses are different and require special tactics. I need to use my stealth as much as possible, use cover, keep them all injured, location perks, anti-heal perks, my pressure comes purely from them not knowing where I am. Maybe I'm camping, maybe I'm on the edge of the map, maybe I'm creeping right next to them at that gen, their confusion and paranoia is pressure.

If I'm playing Clown my pressure comes from me downing them as fast as possible, my power has no real map pressure, I am purely a chase Killer, period. My perks are very important and usually help me with chases too so I can down them faster, Devour Hope is a favorite of mine, it is something I can fall back on if it stays up long enough and gives them something else to do if it scares them enough. I can't chase for to o long though, if they're running me around then I break it off and find a weaker person, if I can weed out the little ones then the big one has no one to do the gens for them as I chase.

  • Can't loop an anti-loop Killer? Wow, I'm shocked

Ghostface has no downsides? Hmm, pretty sure getting broken out of his only ability is a downside. Also it is very easy to break him out of his power, if you need tips then look up Entity Education on Youtube, he shows you exactly how breaking him out works and what you need to do in order to do it, the answer might surprise you.

Also, why isn't Hillbilly on this list?

  • It is so annoying but what they can possibly do?

It's wrong to stop people from playing with their friends, most of the Survivor mains only play with their friends so if they get rid of it then the game dies because no one but me and some other people enjoy/prefer to play solo; guess no one enjoys being scared in a horror game.

They can't get rid of comms, they literally can't do anything since it's a 3rd party thing.

They can't implement anything that punishes SWF making it harder to play the game just because they are playing with someone, that's not fair and wrong.

What they COULD do is let us know who is SWF, if we know if they are on comms we can prepare ourselves for it. But the problem with that is that some Killers might dodge the lobby, especially if those ######### all have toolboxes; any 4 man SWF team with all toolboxes is trash.

So, what can they possibly do to make it more fair in this 4v1 situation? Maybe they can make Killers who can actually combat these teams but we saw the Legion changes and it's been 3 years so we all know that they're too afraid to make strong Killers. Mcote said Demogorgon was ''damn strong'' and yeah I guess Demo is strong in a sense but all 3 of his perks were purposefully made to be crap and nerfed from the PTB so maybe he used to be strong.

  • I can't get past Rank 5 lol

I constantly get stuck with ######### players who either die too easy or are so selfish I die too early and get a depip. Then I got games that go so fast I MIGHT get a safety, I can do all the hook saves and no Gens and escape and maybe get a safety but probably a de-pip because I'll have Max Altruism but had no time or opportunity to do anything else.

Killer Ranking is stupider the higher you get too, if you win too fast you lose because the Survivors couldn't play long enough. If you purposefully let the game on a long time you lose your Gatekeeper but you'll pip because the Survivors had fun.

I don't think making pipping harder will make the situation easier, I still think we need more to do than Gens, if we had more to do then maybe everyone will have more opportunities to implement their skill.

  • So I get quick Killer matches and I'm ok with goofing and I usually let someone go if they deserve it but on the PTB the wait times are completely ridiculous and I can't afford to goof off and if someone is ruining it for me then it ruins the whole thing because the wait time was too long and who knows when the next match will be. I can imagine being salty and a real dick to people if my normal games were as long as the PTB ones so to answer your question, yes I think shorter wait times would help with the attitude for Killers.

But even if the Killer has a good attitude, the survivors may not, and they can still and usually are anyway the cause of ''sweaty'' and salty Killers.

  • Either BHVR needs to actually pay attention to what they're doing with Legion and listen to the people who play him or just rework him. I this point I would rather have them just rework Legion completely because they keep making things worse and worse every time they touch him.

Legion is so off their radar they made a brand new perk completely exploitable by Legion and then turned a different perk into something he could exploit as well, that made me happy but it just shows they aren't paying attention.

If they keep in Beast of Prey and Nemesis I won't complain though, it would be really sweet if they kept those perks as they are now and that would be great. Just use those 2 perks together and Legion is unstoppable 100% of the time even without the Frank and Stab Wound combo.

  • The problem is that it relies on skill checks and I can heal 2 people without getting 1 which really sucks and is like unheard of when I'm not using Auto. I don't know what the chance of getting a skill check is but Unnerving Presence increases it by 10% so I'm imagining the chance is very low since that perk doesn't increase it very much.

But besides the problem it has I love the perk, I prefer it over Botany because I just love imagining the Survivor groaning in annoyance when they see that massive decrease in progression ''UGH, he has Autodidact''. But then on the other hand if I get 4 stacks then healing becomes almost instant so it turns from a bad perk into a good perk which is something I enjoy, being rewarded the longer you do something, taking time to get stronger etc. The perk is also purple which is my favorite color so naturally I love it.

  • david.png gf.png nea.png tra.png

So there I am at the very top, Hat Dude <3 you're welcome ;) then we got my fav GF outfit, I love the P3 mask with the chrome look. Nea is my fav Survivor and I don't have many cosmetics for her yet but this is such a great look for her. And then we got Trapper, I love the polished metal mask with the grunge look, it shows classic sophistication with raw unbridled strength. I'm still looking for a good Clown outfit but it's difficult because they all look so good 🤣

  • I don't know what their power is.

It used to be slow down Survivors with DW but the Devs felt it was too powerful so they nerfed it...making him less of a slowdown Killer.

They buffed his speed but kept his stun time so he isn't a chase high mobility Killer either, the power is too punishing to use it like that.

Legion's power is now meant to injure multiple people and that's it...yay.

  • I played against a Legion last night and she got me with Sloppy Butcher, I was thinking ''that's going to be the last time this perk is good on you''.

It makes so much sense they would create a pinball chaining Killer and not give them anything to chain with, they have add-ons for that but the chain doesn't start until the 2nd person, that 1st person is totally ok and receives no drawbacks from your power except the crap DW that no one cares about.

Legion only scares me when they don't use their power, it's the only time they're a threat.

I hope the devs are listening because this is bs.

  • I don't think they can create bots that can be smart enough to make the game fun.

They have to create a bot that understands they need to run loops, understand how to use each perk, when to hide, when to make a dangerous save, when NOT to make a dangerous save; the Survivor bots could either turn out to be more skilled than a pro human player or crappier than a Rank 20. Same goes for Killer bots, they have to design mind games for them to understand and they have to make the Killer AI a learning AI as well, if it can't learn from the player they're going against they will lose every time.

Back when I was still playing Friday the 13th I played with some bots because I wanted to just play Jason and those bots were a great example of the problem. They were too stupid to open a window slowly and THEN jump through it, they always just jumped through a glass window when I approached them which injured them and slowly killed them. At the same time they were VERY good at completing objectives and escaping was somehow still possible with all the window jumping; very impressive but a great example of how bad or how good they can be.

That said I still want bots

  • I like how people were complaining that Survivors would hold the game hostage by not taking the hatch and not doing Gens when they were the last person alive and because there were so many complaints the devs created the EGC. This was considered such a problem they had to find a way to make it impossible but now we have this, if this becomes too big of a problem they will do something about it.

  • We don't need 2 Frank's in this game 🤣 pretty sure he'd be S Tier.

  • Though I don't like Wraith I still want to know more about him, his backstory is bleh and something you'd write in high-school thinking it's edgy and dark; not sorry if the author of it reads this. Why does he use a bell? Why did he go super psycho and kill his boss instead of calling the police? Why is a Killer and not a Survivor, I don't understand why the Entity chose him to kill people and why he's so angry and always getting inhuman plant themed cosmetics?

  • I've been playing Adam recently and I enjoy using these since I really like his default white coat, it kind of helps.

    @Mrwood204 said:

I have a bunch of these. I guess my question is as a survivor, what's is their usefulness?

So Fog offerings are a double edged sword, if the Fog is thicker it is harder for you and the Killer to see each other, mostly harder for the Killer. If you lessen the Fog then it's easier to see the Killer and any traps they put down.

  • @supersonic853 said:

Also for fairness idk if the legion should be limited to 1.

Nah fam, all 4 members need to be in this fight, can you imagine them ganging up on Oni and trying to stab him from all directions, they'd get slaughtered almost instantly.

  • I'm going to use it, I do this anyway so this is just a bonus lol

  • Ok I think there is some major confusion in this thread

First Off---When a Gen turns on YOU see the Killer's Aura but the KILLER sees a Scream Location for 3 seconds.

The Killer cannot see your Aura at all unless they have another perk for that so when there are 2 people at the very end all they see is a little person screaming in the distance and they have to guess where you went after seeing it. As Killer I can say that the Locations are helpful when you can't locate someone but they are not good for tracking unless you're just running all over the place and leaving scratchies for me to see. If you hide in a locker when that last Gen procs, you are killing yourself because they know exactly where you are.

Your best bet is that once the last Gen goes off start walking in a random direction, walk for those 3 seconds and then run. If it's just you and someone else, camp the hatch and don't leave, if there are 3 other people you wait until that Exit is opened and you make damn sure you know where the Killer is before attempting to leave, hide and seek.

  • I really want to know what the Devs are going to do, the more I look at Legion the stupider it gets and I just want to know what their plans are or if they're even listening. I'm not even excited for the Legion changes or even about playing them anymore because of how ridiculous this has turned out.

They increase his speed, nerf his stall power, and keep his stun time so he can't even be a chase Killer or a stall Killer, he is in-between both things because they can't make up their mind or even listen to the community. It wasn't the community who wanted the Mend timer shrunk down it was them.

  • Well he's getting some changes soon, he's going to be faster and he's not going to be able to use STBFL, Third Seal, Dark Devotion, etc with FF anymore and Mending will take less time.

I can't really give you any suggestions as the Devs don't know what they want from Legion and aren't really making things fair in the areas he needs it most.

Assuming you don't care about the changes and are just good at the game I will say this:

Legion is supposedly meant to slow down Survivors, Devs nerfed that part, so start the match using FF to distract and injure everyone, maybe bring in the new Mangled Pin as it's kind of fixed. If someone is injured don't use the power unless you want to ''distract'' them with DW and find someone else but be confident that you can get the down on the next person. Bring in Thana as that is more powerful than your ability for some reason to maximize how long you can stall Survivors. And that's basically it, pinball everyone if you know more than 1 person is nearby and if no one is then just strike them down normally.

Infectious Fright might still be a good perk to use on Legion, the idea is that when you down someone you can possibly ''distract'' the nearest person with DW while you hook the person on the ground; you have 12 seconds, 4 of those is your stun and the rest of that time is backtracking to your slug and then looking for your last dude who probably already Mended halfway to your slug.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

bond and leader is my favourite thing to run need a heal? Just find a dude

I was on a Gen with 2 other people who were injured who just didn't feel like healing.

  • I know it sucks when you bring in Inner Strength and you go against Plague or if you bring in Diversion and you go against Ghostface but that's the nature of the game, not every perk will work in every match, same goes for Killer but it's more likely for Killer since they're totems.

I like the pebble and I think it's OK if it doesn't work against certain Killers.

  • Goodness, since moving to the PC I only have 1 Killer Prestiged to 3 after the update and they're only level 24 right now, probably why I didn't notice. Damn, it feels to good to care about a Killer and actually get rewarded with some awesome add-ons.

Actually it does matter nowadays. Due to the bigger blood webs you get far better offerings. The picture included was taken right after the blood wen changes with the introduction of the Steanger Things dlc. I have also prestiged my Pig and gotten far better offerings as well in the last few days.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/588/IUMUCJR18EEF.jpg

Also switching Ebony and Ivory rarity would solve the issue at hand. I have dozens of Ebony, but barely any ivory.

How the hell did you get so many Purples? I thought the max was 3 per BW?

  • Only get Agitation if you want to play Basement builds, simple as that.

  • So for the first version---Does your ability end the moment you hit someone or does it work the same and it recharges and shows you people within your TR? I think my problem with this version is that if you hit everyone with Darkness you can channel your ability to find everyone, you will always know where every person is period no matter what because it reveals the person with Darkness and everyone within 32 meters and if everyone has it then bam, no stealth at all and also mass slugging.

2nd Version---T3 looks too powerful, if you down someone in T3 it reveals everyone nearby and if everyone has T3, mass slugging because the game tells you you can.

I think version 1 could work if it was changed a little bit, it reminds me of the original Freddy, he could tag Survivors and put them to sleep and outside of his TR he could see their Aura, this was ok because they could just wake up and it was unlikely to get everyone asleep at one time because it took 7 seconds. Maybe your first version could be infinite but only work out of your TR as well, healing to get rid of it might be too much though as Sloppy and Thana plus Nurse's could make Legion invincible. So maybe it should last 60 seconds with no way to get rid of it but you can't stack Darkness, you have to wait until the timer expires before applying it again.

  • Way too small, I've been playing Adam and the only charm I can see through his coat is Claudette since it's the only one big enough to clip through it.

  • I play the game and I expect to get humiliated, though most of the time I don't, I met a really nice streamer after I killed her with Trapper :)

Also I say expect to get humiliated because I don't trust them to be good sports whether they win or lose, also my attitude in life is expect the worst and hope for the best, that way if I screw up then who cares but if I win then my happiness is multiplied which is nice :)
