Eh they'll still get my vote
It's easy to nitpick about the bad things but they done a lot of good things this year too
Added bots which was something a lot of people asked
Worked on accessibility with the flashlight change
Added team adjusted to mmr
Did a lot of anti cheat stuff including force match endings to ensure people can't be taken hostage for too long
Reduced the grind by a ton
All of these are things the community asked for.
That's the biggest problem with this community, so compelled to focus on the negative that they become blind to any good changes
Games like deep space rock are like parents of children who get straight A's, play the piano cause they enjoy it and help around the house on their own volition
While DbD is parent of spoiled brats who never get along, get jealous whenever the other kid gets something, when they get a gift complain about the gift wrapping it was in and who's main form of communication is screeching at the top of their lungs
It's obvious who gets the parent of the year award and it's also obvious who has it the hardest and actually deserves it.
BHVR will never get lavour of love, not because they don't deserve it. But because this community doesn't know what love is
Everybody seems to love to give Deep Rock Galactic the Labor of Love award.
I wonder why that is...
-
To anybody that thinks this game deserves the labor of love award, remember that it took 3 years since the introduction of the rift to add the ability to accept both a Survivor and Killer challenge at the same time.
The only thing the they love is the money you give them

At least invest in other games my guy. You don't need to play Knight 26h to figure him out

@Emeal said:
So what does a good map look like to you guys?!?
not this map. Knight hard loses on his own map lmao. There's 10 quadrillion pallets everywhere, survivors can just go from one loop to another that's 5 feet away with another pallet and sometimes a window too, it's ridiculous
-
Blame the devs. They made an achievement where you have to go to RPD, open the gate, and escape 20 times.
Tell them to never do it again
-
@Maxi605 said:
Didn't even know this was an achievement, god this is going to be unfun to get...
I legit burned through every RPD offering I had saved up and resorted to begging for people pre-game lobby to bring one.
At best after 20 tries you get an achievement.
At worst, well... Welcome to the grind.
-
I made this discussion on August 31st 2022 complaining about how stupid and tedious this achievement was.
Today is October 9th 2022, and I finally have the achievement.
After over a month of farming, begging and RNG praying that I get the map, I finally have the achievement and 100% again
For the love of god BHVR, NEVER DO THIS AGAIN PLEASE, THIS IS UNIRONICALLY THE GRINDYEST ACHIEVEMENT YOU'VE EVER PUT INTO THE GAME

The PTB is to test changes. This is the first time we're getting a ptb with changes not immediately going live. This is a good chance for bhvr to react to feedback and make adjustments before pushing it live rather than having to make adjustments later.
Is it a little disappointing that there's not much that will be going live this mid-chapter? Sure, but I'm happy to see bhvr using the ptb to do more long term testing.
My problem is they almost never use the PTB for this purpose.
I'm all for them experimenting on potential updates for the game, but the PTBs happen too infrequently and honestly too long for this to be a good use for them.
3 weeks is much too long to just be spitballing potential ideas for the game.
I'd love to see them put out PTBs for like a week or two experimenting on new ideas, perk reworks or buffs; but BHVR as a company works way too slow to operate like that.

Honestly it's not too bad compared to like, Left for Dead (As the last person still alive, activate the last generator and escape through the exit gates.) and Item of Obsession (In a public match, as the killer's obsession, escape as the last survivor without getting hit.)
That achievement was easy at one point though. It became nearly impossible because of the many updates the game has had over the years.
This though... someone came up with this achievement and it got green lit all the way to production. Left for Dead gets a pass, we're 6+ years into development of this game, this achievement is unacceptable
-
@SuzuKR said:
Then don’t do them.
Golly, I never thought about it like that.
This is the feedback thread so I am providing feedback. I'm going to get this achievement one way or the other, whether I grind for it or not. My complaint is that this is just uninspired. It doesn't provide any goal, it doesn't encourage you to explore a new map or challenge yourself in any regard.
It's a bad achievement and I'd rather have no achievements be added than add a bunch of them that just say:
Open the exit gates and escape from Coldwind Farm 20 times

Exaggerating a little bit, but it generally won't be worth spending a good chunk of time traveling to basement for a risky hook a lot of the time. If they have actual BT from the perk itself that's another beast.
Basement was always a risky hook 9/10 because it's out of the way for little reward.
Survivors mostly take hits anyway in basement, the 5 second timer wasn't just a problem in basement, it was damn near useless in almost every scenario.
-
In 6.2.0, we will be increasing the duration of the Haste & Endurance effects to 10 seconds. Additionally, we’ll be increasing the Haste effect to 10% increased speed (from 7%).
They did it boys, and much more generous than I would've given.

Among Us would just ban people who talked like this. Heroes of the Storm doesn't ban for it, but does remove the chat function from offenders. I believe League of Legends has separate queues/lobbies for the worst offenders, but I'm going off what I've been told on that one.
I've been in games of league where people legit call each other the N word among other slurs and none of them get banned.
The level of toxicity that goes on there and what you shown are nowhere close to the same. I know you say you don't like hearing it, but for real, you need to grow thicker skin if what you screenshotted genuinely bothers you.
Again, just close the chat

Some players go out of their way to just be the biggest ######### possible - queueing with their friends and teabagging all game long is weirdly contended as "okay". But there's no way that communicating like this in end-game chat should be tolerated by any serious devs or even communiity. Or are they likely already banned and playing on hacked alts with their private "60 hour" accounts?
Yes I've sadly had to censor the names, I've been in trouble with the forum mods for not before. Which I still think is dumb, but that's another matter (honestly, people should be given the tools to avoid being exposed to people like this).
This is low-tier banter at best.
Just close the chat my guy.

@TarunCosmo said:
In some ranked games I play, you can ban characters from the selection. I'm at the point I want to DC as soon as I get certain killers, and I see the same on my SoloQ team.
This will make it so people who dc with certain killers won't match up with the killer. While people who want to play against the killer get to have fun and hopefully not DC.
Data of seeing who is most banned will show if a certain killer is OP. If survivors don't enjoy playing against a certain killer their is an issue.
What would be your 3?
Mine are not because they are OP, I just don't have a good time:
Dredge, Doctor, Plague
This is an awful thing to implement, though to be honest I doubt they would even be able to implement it.
Many people have already said this, but if people got to ban 3 killers this is exactly what would happen.
Nobody is playing against Nurse
and these killers are going to have extremely long queue times
Blight, Spirit, Legion, Plague, Bubba.
Probably in that order.
There aren't many games that allow you to ban something before you even get into the game. I'm assuming you're talking about CSGO or something that allows you to ban maps you don't want to play on. This in the grand scheme of things is inconsequential because the other team is playing on the same map you are, there's no balance difference because it's an even playing field regardless of what map you want to play on.
Games like League or Dota do let you ban full characters, but this is once you're already in the game and each game has their own way of punishing "dodges". League gives you a "freebie" if you leave during champ select, you lose 3 lp and have a 5 minute cooldown timer on your first one of the day. Any more and you actually start getting punished to the point where DCing isn't worth it. Dota has no such generoucity, if you DC in a game regardless of when it is, you are getting an abandon and depending on how much of a bad noodle you are, you can land yourself in Low Priority queue, which is a hell I can tell you from experience that nobody wants to be in.
You also have to take into account that these games literally have over 150+ characters to choose from, where as Dead by Daylight struggles to run optimally with less than 30
The thing to take away from this is that allowing bans is not how you fix the disconnect problem. The way you fix the disconnect problem is punishing the people who disconnect. Allow a freebie every day, 5 - 10 minute timer is fine, and then actually start making the game unplayable for continued offenses.
I'm sure this is something BHVR is working on and I can't wait to see it in about 5 years when they finally get around to implementing a real punishment system.

You are not scared. Therefore noone should be scared ever. Remove basement and add MLponies to the game.
You also said this to a person who legit wasn't even talking to you. They were talking to someone else yet you included yourself into this discussion which clearly means you believe this game should be scary.
You also followed up with "remove basement" which if you have the ability to put 2 and 2 together, can easily be assumed that you mean to say that Basement should be scary, that in a discussion about balance that the basement being scary is clearly important to you, enough to include yourself in a discussion that someone wasn't having with you.
Am I wrong? Is this not you?
In a discussion about the balance of basekit borrowed time and it's interaction with basement you brought up time and time again that being in the basement should be "scary"
People agreed with you that Killers should be strong, but being scary shouldn't have anything to do with this, as this isn't a horror game. Killers can still be strong while not being "scary" The basement can still be a risk for people to rescue people from even with the 5 seconds of endurance becoming larger.
This is a discussion about Balance, not about how scary or horrifying being in the basement is. You've dragged this discussion off topic long enough.

Man are you really scared about Freddy in his movies? Or any other '80 horror franchise? Nah! Still they are horror.
As i said before. You are beating around the bush because you have no way to keep defending your idea of nerfing the basement so you try to argue we should nerf the basement because the game isn't scary.
The idea has no sense and even if, if you are scared or not this doesn't make Dbd "not horror".
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3119841#Comment_3119841
From wikipedia:
"Dead by Daylight is a survival --> horror <-- asymmetric multiplayer online game developed by Behaviour Interactive."
You absolutely are beating around the bush. You tried to argue basement should be nerfed for X reason that, other users explained you, are subjective and related to your personal experience and feelings.
Many times BHVR decided to make changes in order to make killers "scary" and a force to be reckon with. Excpecially in the endgame.
Then you stated "It does not scare me, it is not horror, not being an horror we should nerf basement".
This is EVEN MORE subjective than before!!! It is like to say "i don't like this perks, for this reason we should change it!".
And here we are, we are discussing about what is the definition of "horror" because you can't accept the idea that some people can find the challenge in a well defended basement acceptable in a game where you should be worried about a killer killing you.
I am not going to discuss this topic further, if you didn't get this time it is obvious for me you are trolling me.
Name a single time that I haven't directly addressed anything that you've mentioned. Name a single time that I've avoided talking about anything. As I said my previous comment, I am purposefully over explaining and addressing everything to make my point as clear and apparent as possible. I physically don't know what else I can do outside of addressing everything you said point by point.
"Dead by Daylight is a survival --> horror <-- asymmetric multiplayer online game developed by Behaviour Interactive."
As I've said, Dead by Daylight is a game with horror elements. That does not make it a horror game. Why is that I can explain why the game isn't a horror game but you can't explain why it is one except by quoting things that aren't even made by Behaviour.
I've provided mutliple in game examples as to why Dead By Daylight exemplifies it's asymmetric and survival qualities while leaving it's horror themes on the sidelines.
I've provided counterpoints to my own arguments just to cover my bases and still all you do is just quote text that doesn't mean anything and can easily be disproven.
Many times BHVR decided to make changes in order to make killers "scary" and a force to be reckon with. Excpecially in the endgame.
Such as? When has BHVR made a change that was not in the sake of balance but solely to make a killer, or the role itself "Scary"
I agree with you that the killer has been buffed to be made a "force to be reckoned with" because it is in nature a power role. But BHVR has done nothing to purposefully make the role "scary". Any fear a player has is a byproduct of the balance changes that have come first for Behaviour, not on purpose.
Then you stated "It does not scare me, it is not horror, not being an horror we should nerf basement".
Literally never said this.
My reasons for buffing the basekit borrowed time is because it does nothing to address camping in the basement. This is on top of the numerous other problems this feature has as 5 seconds has been proven time and time again this update to be completely worthless.
In the 5 seconds of borrowed time that you get after being unhooked, even if a Killer is not camping you it will run out before you are able to get out of the building. This is ridiculous.
That was my entire point, horror had nothing to do with it. You are misinterpreting what I said because I never said anything about horror in regards to buffing basekit borrowed time. If anything I was saying horror should not be a factor when buffing or nerfing an aspect of the game.
This is EVEN MORE subjective than before!!! It is like to say "i don't like this perks, for this reason we should change it!".
Yes. Opinions are subjective. It is my opinion that basekit borrowed time should be buffed as the 5 seconds you get after being unhooked is bad.
It is your opinion that this is a horror game and balance should be made to keep killers scary. I have proven through facts and evidence in the game that this is not a horror game and balance should not be ignored for the sake of "Horror"
There are many issues with the game right now, one of them being the 5 seconds of endurance that you get after being unhooked. As I said there's many examples of this feature doing absolutely nothing.
It is subjective that I want this changed to be better, but you pretending that I don't have actual reasons is plain wrong. You're ignoring my actual reasons because they don't align with what you believe.
And here we are, we are discussing about what is the definition of "horror" because you can't accept the idea that some people can find the challenge in a well defended basement acceptable in a game where you should be worried about a killer killing you.
We're discussing the definition of horror because you insist that scariness and horror should be more of a focus than balance and general enjoyability of the game.
Camping has objectively boomed since the MidChapter update and not being able to escape the basement is simply a symptom of the poor implementation of the 5 seconds endurance after an unhook. Everybody agrees that camping is a massive problem but clearly BHVR doesn't want Decisive Strike or Borrowed Time the perk to be the solution; so buff the Basekit Borrowed time you get after an unhook.
I am not going to discuss this topic further, if you didn't get this time it is obvious for me you are trolling me.
I'm glad that after reading countless paragraphs on the forum of Dead by Daylight of all games that the conclusion you drew from me is that I am trolling you and not that I actually want the game to be better.

People may be scared of a little spider and may be not scared of a monster from another dimension. IT IS POSSIBLE!
Then? It is an hoorror game only if it manage to scare EVERYONE? Obv not! It iss an horror game if the purpouse of the game is to scare and/or create a spooky environment.
The assumption: "The game it is not scaring for me --> Therefore it is not an horror game ---> So we can and should nerf the basement" is illogical.
Stop beating around the bush.
Nobody is beating around the bush. I'm being as blunt as physically possible overexplaining everything to make my point as apparent as possible.
The objective of the game is to repair generators and to avoid getting killed. The gameplay loop involves you running around obstacles throwing pallets down and hopping over windows. You go around in circles for as long as possible.
You're not put in any scenario that would truly frighten or terrify someone because that's a horrible idea if you're making a game like this. The game makes everything obvious and apparent so that you can plan and act accordingly because to do otherwise would be extremely unfair.
You assume that our argument is that "it does not scare me, so it is not scary" but the reality is the Game, by design, is not a scary game.
Again, you can be scared by things in the game, things can surprise you and often do for many, many people; but that doesn't make Dead by Daylight a "horror game".
As this is the truth, balancing things in the game around making the game horrifying or making the killers scary is stupid. The killers by the design of the game are not scary, so why would you balance the game around achieving something that is not the goal of the game?
There is nothing horrifying about edgy teenagers with a knife, there's nothing horrifying about K-Pop man throwing knives at you, there's nothing horrifying about the Demogorgon from stranger things who got bodied by a bald kid and the massive amount of hair products Steve uses on a daily basis.
This is okay, because this isn't a horror game, this is a game where Serial Killers kill you. It is a party game with horror elements as its theme.

You can get scared by things, but that doesn't make them "horror". Dead by Daylight is not a horror game. It is a party game that happens to have a horror theme. Nobody will be scared of the killers in Dead by Daylight, it's not a horror game, scaring the people playing the game is not the objective of the game.
People can get jump-scared in the game, people can be surprised that something happened that they weren't expecting, but that doesn't make DbD a horror game.

If you honestly believe Spine Chill needs the Vault Speed Buff, you dont understand how to balance perks.
People complain that Spine Chill with Vault Speed is strong.
I ask what is the problem with strong perks. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with having a perk that is strong, there is a problem with perks that are overpowered or ruin the game for others.
Dead Hard is an overpowered perk that needed to get nerfed.
Decisive Strike was a game ruining perk because if you got unhooked during the endgame you essentially got out for free.
I think you'd be hardpressed to make an argument that Spine Chill with vault speed is overpowered. Strong? Yes, but like I said, there is nothing wrong with strong.
I will take to my grave that Spine Chill with vault speed was not overpowered. I will take to my grave that the vault speed build was only strong because of the threat of Dead Hard which no longer exists in this patch. Many popular meta builds before the midchapter update weren't even vault speed builds simply because better options were available.
The broken part of Spine Chill was the fact that Stealth Killers auto-lost to this perk on top of the fact that it was just a generally good perk. This update did not change this, but instead made a perk so difficult to understand that nobody bothers running it.

Iron grasp not iron will. Iron will is a survivor perk.
If the killer has agitation, iron grasp, monstruous shrine basically he invested 3 perks in that and should be rewarded with an almost impossible save. It is like you have Off the record, DS and sprint burst to make it difficult to tunnel but there is a killer that ask a way to make all those perks not work and still tunnel you easily. "It is not fair that only because he took those 3 perks i can't tunnel him in 10 seconds!"
Yes, in the endgame being carried to the basement is close to be a death sentence. Because the killers MUST be a force to be reckoned with and in the endagame are even more dangerous. In the endgame you can be saved from a camped basement only if the others are cohordinated and they have the proper tools.
The best thing to do is STAY AWAY from the basement in the endgame, if there is a gen you must complete do not leave it for the last,
bruh you knew what I meant, I type a lot but I'm not gonna peer-review my comments to make sure I get every perk name 100% correct

I think everybody that's played Solo Queue a few times this patch can tell you 5 seconds isn't enough to do anything of value unless you're literally right next to a loop.
-
I think I wanna clarify my issue with Spine Chill since people seem to harp on the fact that I added Vault Speed back and think that's the only reason I want the revert.
So my issue with Spine Chill and it's only gotten more reinforced as this patch has gone on, is that new Spine Chill is a confusing mess of a perk. I really don't think people have abandoned this perk because it doesn't have vault speed and I'll explain why.
I was a big Spine Chill enjoyer. The vault speed was nice, but the alert was the best part, it killed Stealth killers and overall just let me kinda vibe in game. So the vault speed removal really wasn't a big deal to me, it seemed unnecessary, but whatever. I was willing to give it a try. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this:
What the actual hell is this perk trying to tell you?
This is the description of the perk in-game:
An unnatural tingle warns you of impending doom.
Get notified when the Killer is within a 36-meter range. If the Killer is within range and is looking at you with a clear line of sight, your speed while Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening, and Unlocking is increased by 6%
The effects of Spine Chill linger for 0.5 seconds after the Killer looks away or is out of range.
Spine Chill's icon indicates the the strength of the Killer's Terror Radius
Now, not only is this a massive wall of text, it also lies to you because that's not how it works in game. Rather, it doesn't tell you the full story. So when people equip this perk for the first time and see how it actually functions in game, it's extremely confusing, hard to understand, and seemingly worthless.
What's even worse is that, it really doesn't look bad here. But remember this is a forum where I can press Enter, we have a nice textbox to fill out. This garbage is like 5-6 lines in game all squished together, it's a mess.
This is the description of the perk on the wiki, which clarifies the actual functions of the perk:
An unnatural tingle warns you of impending doom.
Whenever the Killer is within 36 metres of your location, Spine Chill activates, lighting up its icon.
If there is a Terror Radius present, Spine Chill will reveal its intensity using its icon.
If the Killer is within range and looking at you with a clear line of sight, you benefit from the following effect:
Increases your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening, and Unlocking by 2/4/6 %.
This effect lingers for 0.5 seconds.
You may think it's the same thing, but believe me it's a world of difference on how someone interprets a perk.
Nevertheless, tell me why the perk needed to be reworked, if the rework just does the same thing the old perk did, but in a more confusing way?
If the perk works so well as an alert and it still shuts Stealth Killers out of the game, why don't people run it? Because of no vault speed? I really doubt that. I genuinely believe the vast majority people who run this perk have no idea what it's trying to tell them. Instead of trying to figure it out, they rightfully abandon it because nobody is trying to be confused of what their perk is trying to tell them in the middle of a game.
Basically, it's a stupid rework that killed a perk by being over complicated to do the same thing. Even if it doesn't have the vault speed, just revert it, I guarantee more people will run it.
I get how the new perk works, but when I'm playing the game I'm not trying to stare at my perks trying to interpret what it's trying to tell me. People want simplicity, and if you're just going to shove a bunch of crap onto a perk and bloat it up then people won't run it unless it's absolutely busted which Spine Chill never was.

The community is overreacting to this update. It's fine. Let it be. Calm down. Learn what works now and what doesn't. If you should be complaining about anything, it's that Behaviour didn't do anything to fix solo queue. That's it. Anything else is pretty much just unwarranted whining. Get over yourselves.
I don't understand points like these.
How small do you think the DbD community is? How long do you think it takes a game that on steam at least 30-40,000+ to figure out a meta?
People like to pretend it is, but Dead by Daylight really isn't a complicated game, people already knew what was and what wasn't good changes before the update even came out, and lo and behold what people said is what came true.
I know people we queue with in Solo Queue are dumber than a bag a rocks, but it's been 3 weeks. How long do you really think it's gonna take for people to figure out this patch even more than we already did Week 1?

So, from the top:
Thana - good change. A bit unneeded, as Thana is honestly more of a psychological perk than an effective one. It'll still be great for Plague and Legion and will likely still be complained about endlessly.
Mettle Of Man - Huh. This is now an interesting perk. I have no idea whether it'll be good, bad or something in between. Curious to see how it plays out.
Pain Resonance/Dead Man's Switch -
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/K22HO57N4Q0W/image.png
Wat.
No, seriously - Pain Resonance is still an outlier numbers wise, and still lacks the 'character' it's information component gave it before. Keep the interrupt, bring back the scream, put it to 10% regression, make it so DMS doesn't activate off this perk.
DMS is now, once again...sort of a garbage perk. Which is a pity, as it's a fun perk with a lot of counterplay currently.
Balance Incentives - Welp, damn. Might have to wait until 6.2.0 to really get back into DbD, because matchmaking is bizarre right now. Queues aren't too bad, but it's as wonky as it was during the anniversary. This might be due to the HCS stuff, but I have no idea.
Overall: Eh. This patch feels like two steps forward, one step sideways, one step backwards.
How is Thana a good change?
The only reason it got nerfed is because of Plague and Legion, but even you said that it will still be great on those two killers to the point of being complained about till the end of time.
Tf was good about the change then? Thana is downright useless on anybody that isn't Legion and Plague and after this patch that will no longer be an opinion, it will be a straight up fact. It will be business as usual for Legion and Plague, by definition this change does absolutely nothing to solve the problem.
Mettle of Man was a bad perk before the MidChapter update, it was a bad perk during the MidChapter update and will now become a useless perk in 6.1.2.
Essentially you have to get a protection hit which will activate MoM, and then you have to figure out a way to get the killer to hit you again, without you doing anything productive during that entire time you're trying to get the killer to hit you.
Oh yeah, and the killer has wallhacks when it's activate so they know you have it.
I also don't think you realize how dumb of a change the Pain Res - DMS "buff" is. They're literally just reverting the interaction back to what it was before the MidChapter Update because they literally couldn't figure out how to fix the Pain Res - Merciless Storm interaction. Meanwhile people on their own forums provided a solution within minutes.
There's a lot of things I would revert about the midchapter patch, but none of them involve "We can't fix this, so have the old interaction nobody liked + a slight nerf"
This chapter isn't a few steps forward, one step back, it's no steps forward. If this is what the devs think is the highlight of the patch and would putting out first, I fear for the rest of the changes they have planned for 6.1.2 because dang this is awful.

Might as well increase the stun duration if you're just gonna add another effect onto it.
DS doesn't need a sprint burst, it just needs to not stun for an insignificant amount of time

I'm glad to see Calm Spirit included in the list :D I hope they see all the feedback about it.
Bruh fr fr. I don't like the perk but some people do and even I thought the penalty to interactions was a really bad change. If people wanna use the perk then let them, don't punish people for using a niche perk lmao, I don't know why BHVR needs to be told this.

Iron Will - I'll be honest, I prefer the 75% over the Exhaustion downside. I've played with No Mither; 75% means you're still pretty silent. Besides, changing it now is redundant as they're planning on changing all survivor volumes to be more consistent.
I think a good middle ground with the distance is to revert the speed boost reduction but keep the cooldown. It'll help M1 killers while not helping top tiers too much. (Maybe look at stbfl)
Self Care either needs to be 50% or reworked. No negotiation.
No Mither is fine. It's a meme perk. Unless you rework it, keep it as is.
Right, Base Kit Killer got a lot of good changes and I think the cooldown they get for successful hits is fine. I feel like BHVR forgot that Dead Hard was such a big part of the Hold down W meta that they thought a speed boost reduction was warranted too when it really isn't.
@Biscuits said:
If they wait until 6.2 there wont be a player base left, the biggest mistake they are making right now is waiting. They really can't afford to wait, at least slap a hotfix on decisive strike or something. Putting out a statement that you aren't doing anything was a huge mistake imo.
That's doomsday thinking, people will continue playing the game unfortunately as if nothing is wrong and this is BHVR we're talking about. 6.2 is probably the quickest we'll get an update that addresses these issues assuming they open their eyes and see the problems the midchapter update has caused.
We all know how much they struggle with simple number changes so I'm not holding my breath for a 6.2 course correction, this is probably 6.3 if that, but we can dream

I'm on 10 game, 4K winstreak now with either No or Brown Addons.
These are short games too. Either I demolish with 4 gens left or people just straight up suicide on hook / stand AFK
Please, anybody who doubts Legion's ability to demolish solo queue survivors this patch, play Legion with my build, use whatever addons you want because it does not matter and tell me what survivors are supposed to do to beat you? Tell me how this is remotely fun for anybody to go against

That is the problem with survivors, they think you are supposed to heal against Legion. Super cringe.
Some do, Some don't
It matters extremely little to me. If you don't heal, have fun with the 22% penalty to your 90 seconds gens.
If you do heal, within the minute I will injure you all again and you'll have to mend.
I will tunnel someone to death because the Borrowed Time basekit does absolutely nothing, nobody will run Decisive Strike because it's a trash perk. Then I can take as long as I possibly want, eating as many pallets as possible because my Killer is busted in this patch.

but you're not taking into consideration who you're playing against, whatsoever. getting 4ks means literally nothing if they're playing like garbage. if legion is that lethal, they're doing something seriously wrong.
I've played against people of all skill levels, even the good survivors who can loop for days, I just drop chase and go kill everybody else. What are they going to do? Heal? Do gens?
I'm Legion, I don't care. Legion is a solo queue scourge now

Their viability is what is stopping them from taking over the game...
I am an active Legion main, played 5 games in this current patch and 4K every game. Only one game did they ever make it to 1gen left and I was played extremely poorly. Every other game was 2 - 4 gens left.
Viability isn't hurting Legion this patch, if they play well and realize when to drop chases, there's nothing you can do as Survivor. Even people running green medkits with all the addons on the world can't out heal your damage.
One of the 4 gen games was on The Game, I literally ate every pallet on the map, predrops and everything and nothing could stop me. The second someone got close to finishing a gen, Jolt stopped them. Predropping does not work vs Legion and if the map is small enough you're cooked.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Spirit furry enduring doesn't work if you predrop pallets
The 10% reduction in kick time alone is not going to cut it
You just gonna predrop every pallet?
Doesn't matter when Legion's power just hops over pallets, you're injured, you need to mend. Legion moves onto the next survivor who doesnt have pallets anymore
-
I've never understood people who hated last survivor getting hatch and I understand it less now. Hatch is the weakest it's ever been in the history of the game and some killers will still find a reason to hate it.
It doesn't even spawn until there's only one survivor alive, if they get away then you just lost. How is this a problem?

Speak for yourself. Not all artists find it more fun to draw women. And the whole better figures, better anatomy is just because you are almost certainly a hetro male.
Would definitely prefer for a 1 of each situation, rather than 30+ for women, 5 for men. What does this show in terms of equality?
As an artist
Yeah it's almost as if I was speaking about myself and my experiences with other artists. I'm glad that you noticed it because I wasn't exactly trying to hide that.
And the whole better figures, better anatomy is just because you are almost certainly a hetro male.
I'm glad that you like to think outside the box, but have you considered that maybe what I'm saying should just be taken at face value? There's a reason why Fashion is a feminine dominated industry.
You have a lot of options and styles to choose from when styling a female as they come in all different shapes and sizes and have a variety of options for each body type, you simply just don't have that kind of freedom with male subjects. A lot of the time you have to look into different cultures to find interesting fashion choices or else you just start dipping into fashion tropes that are boring and stale, look at the DbD male cosmetics and see the lack of variety there is compared to female choices.
When you have so many options to choose from with a gender that dominates the fashion industry, is it a wonder why people want more casual options for Yui instead of "Biker Girl" "Sport Girl"?
Where as for the male characters it's pretty ubiquitous what the fans want: "Shirtless Felix" "Shirtless Myers". Whether you consider it a meme or not, that's just kinda how it is.
It has very little to do with the gender of the artists, artists generally want to draw what they find interesting, if you want to draw men then go off, draw men, nobody is going to stop you. Just look anywhere online though and more often than not you will see female characters drawn in a variety of different poses, clothes, and body types.
Are those all drawn by Hetero Men? I doubt you could prove that.
Everybody has their own reasons, but female characters are more popular than male ones

Yui is a rebellious street racer, these type of outfits fit her aswell.
I think you're misunderstanding my, and seemingly several other people's problem with the skin. Yeah it works for a Yui skin, that's not the problem.
The problem is that Yui has like 5 quadrillion biker/sport skins. It's an oversaturated market when we just want casual wear or some other hobby. The discount cyberpunk aesthetic imo is just overdone as well, I'm trying to be as nice as possible to the artist but it's a really uninspired design that were it not given out for free in a rift, I would never purchase this.

I dont see why the new iron will is so bad. Its like complaining that you can't kick a gen with pop when ruin is already regressing it. You're using 2 strong perks and can only use 1 at a time, seems healthy to me.
It's like what Satelit said, all you have to do is put on headphones and 75% reduction is worthless. Just equip No Mither and see how easily killers still find you, 75% is nothing. Survivors like Ash, Jeff, Jane still yelling at max volume without 100% reduction.
Exhaustion deactivating perk is just cherry on top.

At this point I don't think BHVR trusts their community. And I can see why, the community has largely been complaining about how survivors are OP when it's clear as day that Killers have been dominating and still are. So you can see how they would be wary of listening to feedback about balance.
And yet the Killer playerbase is dying and it's clear as day for everybody to see.

See BHVR has graced us with a new Yui cosmetic
Log in after many weeks to see what they gave my main

Even worse, it's biker themed.
Is this really all the character is about? Japan and Motorcycles?

They won't make Kindred basekit and there's a good reason for that.
Watch McCleans (think that's the correct spelling) reaction to Scott's fake 7.0.0 patch. He gives his reasons for why making Kindred basekit is a bad idea.
McLean easily had some of the worst takes in that video.
His reason for Kindred not being basekit is because "it would be too confusing for new players to understand why it was happening"
If your game is too confusing then you should at least make an attempt to explain it. They have a tutorial section, put a tutorial that explains what happens when a survivor gets hooked.
For a normal game this is not a problem, but for a game like Dead by Daylight that has a bare bones tutorial as it is, it exemplifies the problem of a lack of explanation for numerous mechanics in the game.

The developers are too busy making the next content patch to put enough resources into any meaningful balance.
Can't blame them either, i would do the same as long as people keep buying the DLC's. So, you can complain about balance all you want and how this change and that change would make the game better but every time you purchase a DLC all it does is show them to prioritize hammering out new chapters every few months. It doesn't matter if you play the DLC stuff only for a few weeks or a month, they get your money and your time.
That's the name of the game, short-term profit instead of long-term game health
-
People don't play DbD because it's the best of the genre.
People play DbD because nobody else has bothered to put this much time and effort into making an asymmetrical game.
