Is it effectively a buff? Yes. But beyond that, what is there to gain from arguing with the developers word.
Gotcha. Thanks for providing that. I'll take down the thread

This is not a new bug; this is a bug fix. We can confirm it's intended!
Then why wasnt this in the bug fix field? It seems like you guys are confused yourselves on what Ghoul is supposed to be

They stopped playing their game

Honestly medkits with infinite charges aren‘t that strong. I tried the bug and it didn‘t feel like I need more than two heals, but it was nice to get more heals. If this bug told me something medkits should allow you to heal more times than two.

Its unfortunately becoming more and more obvious employees of BHVR aren't playing their game as much as they used to.

I think this change is BAD for the game overall, if not very bad, because:
- It doesn't solve camping really.
- It makes the anti camp mechanic stronger with no rebalancement of it.
- If makes tunneling even more necessary.
- It doesn't solve killers wanting to tunnel.
- It doesn't give killers an incentive to split hooks, and the best strategy still remains to kill a survivor into a 3v1 ASAP.
- It gives survivors MUCH much time to just let the survivor hang there, and finish gens.
- It gives much more times to, after doing a gen, go for a trade last second and always be fine.
- Hook trading now is VERY strong for survivors, because of how much times it gives.
- It punishes low/mid tier killers a lot, where strong/S tier killers don't get affected much.
- It doesn't but it also increases camping time for killers. Which will dissuade the play style
- That is such a stretch because anti-camp unhooks hardly ever happen naturally within the match. I see it very typically with noobie killers
- Tunneling can be necessary if you need to apply immediate pressure. An additional 10 seconds won't affect this because the survivor is already on hook. Turneling situations happens from unhooks the most.
- Tunneling can be detrimental if not done correctly. Again, an extra 10 seconds shouldn't matter people the survivor is already hooked and not making progress
- That strategy is only valid if done by a coordinated SWF. It doesn't happen in most matches.
- Again, how? The extra 10 seconds just help delays the 2nd stage. Nothing to do with hook trades
- Fair, but you gotta remember that even if gens got another 10 seconds increase, those killers will still be bad. Any chance that benefits survivors they will naturally suffer the most.
Survivor perks kept getting nerfed that last year, and it seems like they couldn't catch a break. Let survivors have this win for once

no, I didn’t say they’re bad, I just said they aren’t impressive like killers
You're still creating an us vs them since you imply one takes more skill than another. While there could be debates about this, just appreciate your own accomplishments and respect others. Doesn't need to be deeper
-
As a colorblind person this update helps me as a killer. The existing accessibility settings ren't helpful enough to let me see
-
In all seriousness the animation is a bit too silly. It needs a more serious style
-
A.J. Mason vibes from F13

Gotta adjust the volume first

PtB Trickster was probably the worst killer BHVR ever released. On par with old Freddy

Yes. Which requires a specific build, specific add-ons, and a specific playstyle.
She still needs buffs.

OP you can't be serious.
What if the survivors mess up? What if the killer starts chasing the next survivor and the downed survivor never gets rescued? What if you're playing Bubba, Trickster, have an exposed perk, or 8 stacks of STBFL?
Suggestions like these arguably makes things more "balanced" but the game gets way more boring. Pallet saves make the game exciting. Do not remove it.

I never understood a killer’s weapon being in a locker that survivors can get in. Why can’t they pick up the knives or hatchets? Same with survivor cosmetics that have items that can be used as weapons. Seems silly.
Dbd lore implies that survivors are too afriad to fight back or killers are much more physically powerful than them.

It was... Merciless was one time kill switch... For litterally nothing because after that, the perk have always the same bug... And after the PTB, it was no more
Merciless had a bug that potentially made a gen regress up to 70% instantely after the "fix".
That's not broken but it's exceptionally powerful. Shpuld've been killswitched

You can say the same for Trickster.
Except that Knight has real map pressure

How is Bubba buffed? He can already chainsaw any approachin survivor down during unhooking. With healthy hook grabs, the whole unhook is prevented (at least it should be, but servers decide otherwise from time to time). If thats gone, Bubba HAS to use his chainsaw to secure a down, and that gives room for misplays (going into tantrum) and for the unhooked to zoom away (as long as bubba does not catch up). Removing healthy hook grabs actually nefs Bubba camping potential, even when just slightly.
*New patch removes healthy hook grabs*
Hurray! Face camping is no more!
*Gets matched with Bubba, Billy, Trickster, and Myers*
#########. We didn't ask for this

I wouldn't be surprised if some of them facecamp and think it's an okay thing to have

It feels freeing not having to wait out DH for every single survivor I come across.
I can actually EARN my first down instead of potentially having a chase extended by 3 minutes and getting 0ks as a result.
-
I like how OP didn't mention Trickster.
Even the playerbase forgot about him.
-
Yes. Hooks rescues are supposed to be risky and eat up time for survivors. It's also thematic and fitting for killers to grab someone cold-blooded like that.
At the same time facecamping *can* be incredibly powerful and I face (haha) it in like 1in 5 matches as survivor. But you can bait hook grabs anyway so removing it won't fix the problem entirely. A new system needs to be in place to make facecamping less effective.
-
OP is this an issue with maps or map OFFERINGS?
If it's the maps then the focus is the maps. Not map offerings. Removing them will ultimately fix nothing.
-
Don't forget that SWF's are normally a group of skilled players who've played with eachother before as friends. If Kindred was basekit that aspect still wouldn't change much. You will still get bad players that make terrible decisions or hide all match.
The main issue is that losing in DbD feels unfair/unwarranted. Survivors that play perfectly and isn't facing a Blight/Spirit/Nurse is a guaranteed win, so killers will rely on toxic behaviors to secure a sacrifice. All these crutch perks/techs keep getting removed from both sides so now they must rely on said behaviors to get the job done. And frankly that makes the game less fun.
-
Remove her horrid 3 gen (and Knight's) then we'll talk

The charge addons not being enough for an extra self-heal was kinda the whole point. You now need two charge addons (and one of them has to be Gel Dressings) in order to get two self-heals. It limits how many times you can heal yourself. Multi-heal medkits were an issue when used for self-healing.
For altruistic healing, even just Bandages alone will get you enough for 2 heals and you can even push it to 3. And the weaker medkits are actually better at that than they were before.
I will admit the new addons that increase the size of the great skill check zone are pretty bad though.
I unserstand it's for the sake of balances but medkits are now too complicated
