So here's how my morning is going….

Game 1 - Killer hard chased first Survivor they found, we popped 3 gens in about 2 minutes while they were doing that. Result - Killer DC

Game 2 - Killer hard tunneled me. 100% ignored the other survivors to the point of hunting me down 100% on the other end of the map.

Game 3 - I looped a killer off the bat for about a minute, 2 gens popped. Result - Killer DC.

Game 4 - Killer AFK, he only started playing after Gen 4.

Game 5 - Killer hard tunneled another Survivor. The Survivor even tried to peal him off on all of us several times and the killer just ran right past us and kept after them. 3rd hook was the 5th gen popping and 3 escaped.

Game 6 - Killer tried to hard tunnel, couldn't find his target and DC'd after gen 3.

Game 7 - Baby Nurse, felt bad for that player, they got owned.

Game 8 - Blight, I abandoned. If you're gonna play broken killers that BHVR refuses to fix, have fun playing against bots.

Game 9 - Killer hard tunneled two players out, other 2 escaped. Bad map, lots of dead zones. GG on the pallet increases BHVR, sure would like to know where you put them. Prob below the map.

Game 10 - Another killer DC after 2 gen pops.

I have no idea what's going on today. I did notice a lot of the hard toxic tunneling is being done by Nemesis players. Myers and Ghost Face seem to DC quick if they can't bring someone down right away too.

Just my observations this morning. I'm sure glad we didn't get that anti-tunneling update. It definitely wasn't needed.

Oh, and I know it doesn't matter that much, but I am I1 currently.

Well… Since it seems you face lot of killer who DC or hard tunnel…

When Blight become broken? Did I miss something? He's strong, but broken? Can somebody explain?

You won't be able to see if someone has Unbreakable because they can't 99% their recovery anymore, and that is very important in some situations

It's time to put the Unbreakable icon on the bottom right corner for all survivors when someone who has the perk is on the dying state

Take the hint and also put the icon for Deliverance, Wicked, Flip-Flop, etc

It's even a bigger nerf if you take account that, with the auto recovery, you are slower to recover than the old system

    • Added back 80s endurance + conspicuous actions, deactivates in endgame
    • Whilst Off The Record is active, you do not have collision with the Killer only.

edit : the original discussion was my change suggestion but i updated it to be more constructive

Dunno, since the name of the perk is "off the record" … Something who give false information to the killer, and seems to make the player confuse

Like, dunno, when a survivor unhook the one with OTR, the identity is swapped and they have no scratch mark, the survivor who get unhook and the other one seems to be healthy in appareance, but are not if they are injured before
Plus, a smoke screen appear, making them more difficult to be seeing for the killer

  • No worries
And I can understand why people are dubious about what BHVr say (since The walking dead chapter), they don't seems to understand where it can lead, nor they care probably

Reasonable. Personal opinion, but they always making vague formulation in their posts and don’t really clarify a lot.

Well… Since latelly they make some very strange decision (like the fog vial), I can understand why these people become like that

OTR is a great tool, and with the tunnel epidemic, it's kinda odd that this perk don't get revert… People take that seriously

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

Right, but they're dancing around the wording that would mean "we're putting it back to where it was before the patch".

Not that that isn't still possible, but that's not what they said either. So, the expectation they're setting is that the version we get in 9.2.2 could still be different than before 9.2.0.

Which, that, combined with the fact that OTR and tenacity were not changed back after anti tunnel was pulled, would mean that buffing tunneling in 9.2.0 was both a conscious and deliberate choice the devs made.

That's what I said after that, got a bug and can't respond to two message in one

  • @tes said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4006438#Comment_4006438

I’m pretty sure changes in Bugfix patches means fixing what they’ve done when it went wrong. Not completely changing perk and giving it third look, because it's bugfix patch.

They also said before that every perk that was changed regard “anti system” will be cancelled, but they forgot about tenacity and off the record. So clearly, it was a mistake. They simply forgot about them

What the point of your message? Last time u made a weird note about PvE and took it back in a manner “I didn't tell anything”, now u catching up to the phrase. Not really nice behaviour

In this case, they say "we have some change planed for off the record"

Since it's a strange phrase, people are concerned

  • @UnicornMedal said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4006433#Comment_4006433

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they didn't say reverted. It's just slated to be looked at again in an upcoming patch.

They adress the OTR problem in two patch, in the 9.2.2, so not the next one, technically

  • Yeah, I see on a post here a video where the frag was auto aim, I was thinking about the spit himself

    So yeah, that's also unfair

In late July we got the first new Survivor item since the game’s release, and in only ~2 months they’ve already faded into obscurity. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone bring these into a match in weeks, maybe even a month.

And it’s not a surprise given how poorly they were implemented. When they first dropped, there were a lot of conflicting opinions on their strength due to the fact that their opacity varied depending on the map. Sometimes they were completely opaque, and other times their effects were very anaemic. Instead of addressing this inconsistency and balancing from there, they received two rounds of hefty nerfs that have solidified Fog Vials as the worst Survivor item.

I assumed that they would revert some of these after realising the changes were overkill, but now we’re onto the next Chapter and Fog Vials are still… bad.

I really hope that there’s some plans to take another look at Fog Vials and make them a worthwhile item. Because right now, they only serve as Bloodweb clutter and an indirect nerf to chests. Seriously, it’s frustrating the number of times I roll these with Dramaturgy or pull them with Plunderer’s Instinct.

Maybe this sounds dramatic, but if these aren’t on the radar to be improved soon, I think I would prefer for them to be outright removed. There’s already a lot of useless stuff in the Bloodwebs — I don’t want more clutter that just serves to waste my Bloodpoints.

Please don’t just forget about Fog Vials. Either improve them, or lose them. Don’t let them sit as junk in our inventories for years.

They nerf two great perk to fight tunneling and slugging, giving a killer who outperfom except if you are in a great team (SWF), having a discount for a lot of new pallet in a depot

Don't think they care about the vial… The item is dead, and they are not going to do anything about

  • @kaneyboy said:

The new killer seems skill-less… it’s crazy how you can just auto aim her power.. and then instantly hit after… I don’t understand how they thought this killer was ready to be released?

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dNPJH40tCHs

She doesn't have auto-aim… Or maybe only on console

But yeah, the zero cooldown is… a mistake

  • It's… Something? It's like a Plague with fly from vecna and the tentacles from Nemesis

Dunno if I can say Plague instead of unknow… But since the spit make the survivor broken at some point… I'm not gonna be surprise if she get some nerf in some month

Lol. Plenty of killers will drop the game if these changes hit live, because SWF will basically be an instant "I Win" button against all but 2, maybe 3 killers.

I know, because I'm one of them lol. I havent touched the game since the Streetwise and Fog Vial patch, and now I have no intentions of coming back any time soon, if ever. I'm not going to play a pvp game where I'm punished for playing well or capitalizing on opponent's mistakes.

While you're staring at ten minute queues, I'll be skonging.

    The toxic one? Good thing

  • It seems that you forget (probably intentionnaly) some things…

1- The killer get a lot of bonus for hooking different survivor (haste, basekit chili, basekit pop) AND
Survivor can no longuer body block the killer after the unhooking for taking an hit for saving his teammates, since the killer can go through them now

    Everything you are telling here:

He did allready before this buff.

People seem not to be able to remember how clown was before or how to read patchnotes. Clown is basicly as strong as he was before hes just way easier to play.

I can Qoute it if you want:

    • Increased Haste effect of Afterpiece Antidote to 12% (was 10%).

And people are now pretendingt that hes WALKING MACH 10!!!

And we totaly need to remove the 2% increase hastebuff.

dons now and before. NOTHING CHANGED. They removed 1% haste from each addon and gave it to clown basekit.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3986206#Comment_3986206

We can also read the nerfs:

    • Sticky Soda Bottle: Now increases the Invigoration effect by 1% (was 2%).
    • Cheap Gin Bottle: Now increases the Invigoration effect by 2% (was 3%).

If you are using both addons NOTHING CHANGED REGARDING TO HIS SPEED. Each of his addon got removed 1% haste and instead he got 2% more haste basekit

This begging for clown nerfs remembers me so hard at freddy after his release. People who dont understand the killer or the game or are even bothering with reading patchnotes to see what changed are crying for nerfs. And yes Clown did got a buff, the cloud actavation time was reduce down from 2sec to 1. Hes way easier to play and you dont need that mutch skill anymore. Now nearly everyone can do what before only a couple people could. But that has NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS MAXIMUM SPEED.

Nah nah nah, before the patch, he was not able to do that because you have to manage how to throw your bottle to get the haste effect, in indoor map, it was the most difficult

Now, you just have to throw it at your feet and you get the effect, the change of the speed, AND the cooldown before the tonic take effect IS the problem

  • I come probably late

The biggest problem people have with clown now is… he run always as if he was on bloodlust 3, (so instead of 115%, he is at 130%) and it's more oppressive with some of his add-on where he can have this speedboost for almost 20 seconds

Add that with the cloud who hinderd survivor for 14%, and there's just a rocket who can almost bypass any looping tile without thinking

  • @Gplays2000 said:

Just played against a Clown and holy ######### he was giga deluxe edition fast. Actually impossible to make some tiles. If this is intentional :,D than he is kinda crazy ngl

Yeah, it's because the Fog vial is too overpowered, so they gonna nerf the item and clown gonna be fine

Look, it was done into the 7.7.0

Giving the illusion that they care?

And I think, we need to show how angry and disapointed we are against them, maybe by some implication into the game, or stopping buying anything

IF they don't want to listen, and considering us as useless except when we pay for something…

You've got to be the sorest winner here right now. The vials are trashed. All of this talk is just mourners lamenting at a funeral.

But please tell me how a Clown with invigoration add-ons, almost no reload time, and perks that let them haste stack to 40% can be used to any opponents advantage, especially people like me that don't use speed perks. And how do you use yellow bottles badly? You're literally just fast. Even if the survivor gets hit with the effect too, you're still faster.

And it's not just survivors vs killers. People play both, and very few people are defending the Clown changes, including Clown mains. I've been playing as him too (got myself a disgustingly easy adept yesterday) and I also think he needs a revert or further adjusting.

And I want to add… Clown weakness is gone, the only way to fight him back is no more, so it's literally a killer without any "handicap" in the game

Even Nurse or Blight, have a "minima" two "weakness", they are hard to master, and the survivor can use the environnement as a weapon to fight back (lose of sight into some gym with big wall for nurse, and some prop like a big stone for blight)

But Clown lose is lack of mobility, and all the pallet gym or looping zone are just bad against him now..

damn so no longer 99 healing for resilience value? I hope they wont add charges to medkits

When they introduce the token charge for key and map, I was thinking that they try something else, more likely a test to see how people react about that with the least used item in the game

If they try to change toolbox, medkit and flashlight with the same system, I'm pretty sure that… People gonna be angry and the nerf of these item have to be more difficult for them… So they try with something else to see how it is accepted

You can try, you have to "channel" the item, and then, a token is taken and the object do what they have to do (so it's not instant, except opening a chest)

It's just some "supposition" but I see that in that way… Why introduce a token system for map and key, and not for the rest? (and we already know that they gonna add the token system to the fog vial)

an aside from the fact that you are immediately giving up giving feedback and shafting the item asap, nvidia filters are not cheating. everyone who has tried to die on the hill that it has, has in fact, died on that hill unfulfilled.

I give feedback in the PTB, And talking in some post where people complain about the item… And I'm not alone, thus they decide to destroy the utility of it, what's your point?

So true, and they killed my beloved blood amber😭 I used it a lot before TWD chapter and it was compeletly fine for me, worked well with my streetwise (also nerfed)+built to last for more auras😎

yet again those iri addons for maps and keys are still niche since on some killer is not working because they have stealth on demand (and if you use blood amber against them they can use it against you😢) or thanks stealth to perks/addons, while medkits and toolboxes are universally have more values

Blood amber and old streetwise have a lot of good synergy… It was strange that they decide to "rework" Streetwise with this update, but we can understand why

And we also can imagine that, what happen to the map and the key, gonna happen on flashlight, toolbox and medkit, a flat number of utilisation for the item when one token is 5-7 second of utilisation (and if you spam, you lose the token)

  • @cburton311 said:

    RIP

It's sad to see another survivor option dumpstered. It was fun trying to save teammates or use it as a tool to block suspected aura reading. It gave survivor some other strategy to try. The game needs more of these types of things!

Sitting on a gen, hanging on a hook, lying on the ground, even healing other people is large amounts of time with survivor doing nothing. Its actually kind of boring gameplay.

Chase is the only survivor activity, and EVERY killer has tools to make that as short as possible.

Erf… I try to think in both way, and since the release of springtrap, I almost stop playing survivor because I love plying him… The fog was fun in the PTB, but now? … You are right, giving tool for survivor, for helping them not for the first objective (the gen and stopping the killer for hooking the teamate) was a good idea, people try to use the vial for stopping the tunneling… But we see what happen

    @Amanova said:

True, they are dead, also maps and key should also be removed cuz their addons are soooo awful (especially iri ones with tons of downsides while Plagues iri add-s has no downsides) and have laughable amount of charges

I was trying the map with the iri add-on, because it was like the old key… but 8 meters is just ridiculous and the beam is only active for less than 5 second… If you want some idea, even if you put the beam in the center of the shack, you can only see the aura of the killer when he is inside

    @cogsturning said:

I'm starting to think the map, key, and now vials, are there just to clutter up the web and force you to grind more to get actual useful things. Even the BP I get playing killer usually gets dumped into my survivors because there's so much more you have to buy just to get something useful.

We can argue for some killer than a lot of add-on are just the same… but recently, BHVr try to change them (in a good way) to become more popular, look pyramid head, before the buff, almost all the add-on was just straight trash… Not anymore
But yeah, New Key, new Map, and now, the Vial, all the add-on are just… Useless
The map is just some kind of less powerfull "windows of opportunity" (maybe in a next change, the perk gonna be rework?) and the map don't show anymore traps or item linked to killer, and the key… The only good add-on is now dead, and for opening a chest in less than 1 second… I think people gonna use medkit, toolbox and flashlight as always instead of that

  • @Readyplayerone said:

Honestly, I think this patch went in the wrong direction. It feels like the developers are continuing to cater more to the survivor community while leaving the killer role increasingly thankless. Survivors just got a wave of tools to stealth, reset, and extend games, while killer 'buffs' are mostly minor quality-of-life changes that don’t shift the power balance.

Perks like Fog Vial, Come and Get Me! and Throw Down all promote more drawn-out chases and rescues, making it harder for killers to maintain pressure—especially in solo play. Add to that map designs that already favor survivors and a matchmaking system that doesn't account for SWFs. It speaks for itself.

Cater survivor? You know that the dev have succeed to nerf the key (and buff the map, dunno why) , and the free unhooking 4% are done? You have to take an item for the chance, or a perk for having the ability to unhook yourself (and not necessarly succefull), there's no possibility to let you die on the second phase, even if you are one of the two last survivor AND the game is immediatly a win for killer if the 4 survivor is on a hook? (there's no more phase of strugelling)

If, as killer, we have more than 5 minutes to get a game, there's a reason, read the patch note and give me where the basekit from killer got touch in a bad way (I don't talk about perks, because the dev nerf some of them for no reason sometimes, like territorial imperative)

Even the new item, the fog vial, got nerf, and then, people complain that survivor only bring toolbox and medkit… It's just a normal reaction

if they dumpster freddy, then they're at least consistent, even if it's a terrible thing to do and makes the game worse.

Where is the changes for the bugged Mask add-on?

Why is there screaming and aura reading built into the add-on on a highly mobile killer that creates fundamental game breaking issues with a built in Face The Darkness and BBQ on Hex builds?

You do realize not all people played the PTB (many saying that they couldn't play due to the many issues with loading into a game) - WHILE me, a Playstation player cannot play the PTB to give feedback?

Edit: regardless, my point still stands. Why does a famous and not at all "indie" company not have better internal QA testing? Why focus on a PTB and then not address problems that people had within the context of the PTB? Many people saying that he was buffed after the PTB (I cannot fact check that nor desire to) as it doesn't defeat the purpose that the killer is inherently overtuned and busted. It is NOT the job of consumers to tell you how to BALANCE your game, it is the job of the developers to create BALANCE in the game that they CREATE.

He was buffed after the PTB, but not in a way we can think

When I was trying Kaneki during the PTB, he was really cluncky, the recovery after canceling his leap was way more slower than now, there's a bug at this time where you can delete your leap in mid-air and can M1 the survivor, who's always here (the famous two tap), people showing the evidence in video, and nothing was done

And, in this time, I was wondering if, the problem with the killer was not a server issue than the killer himself

Now that he his in live server, I got my response… Kaneki was not good in the PTB, because of the latency and other factor linked to the server

5 "mini" victor since the drone explode if the attack miss, with victor, you have to kick him in some way

Maybe I'm a trash killer stuck in bottom of the barrel dumpster mmr. Maybe it doesn't matter? Either way I've noticed that I get looped insanely efficiently by bots as opposed to players. To as point where it feels like straight up walling. At times bots will perfectly mirror me at powerful pallets / tiles and maybe I'm missing some mind game forbidden knowledge but it doesn't feel very fair to me. I will say in defense of the survivors, It's nice to have a leg up with a wall bot after one of your baby rager teammates leaves due to the slightest inconvenience. But It's disheartening to see as a killer main. "Well the survivor that kept running in front of me during chase left, now I have to deal with the T-1000 of dbd looping fml"

The bot see the aura of the killer all the times, even when you are a stealth killer (like, ghost or myers, if you try to stalk them, they run immediatly, or now where are the dead angle like Hux)

Plus, they get a bonus at repearing generator, they make them much faster than a normal survivor

How on earth could this be bait?

SWF with Comms have been buffed far more away from Solo survivors since Circle of healing solo healing nerfed.

I aren't going into how huge the difference between solo and communications is, I am simply saying that BHVR talked about bringing solo to SWF level, then decided to buff SWF further away from solo… makes no sense

Bud, you know that circle of healing is a survivor perk?
How the ######### the nerf of CoH buff SWF? Give detail, not saying opposite statement

Don't think it's a bait, he respond to some other post and seems to really think what he said

More and more since Circle of healing was nerfed SWFs have get even stronger than before.

Circle of healing can heal yourself, just ask for someone to heal you near killershack.
4 same map offerings? Overrules the killers sac ward!
BHVR will not let you see see what other survivors have … don't worry if you're a swf.

I mean lets face it, SWFs using communication software breaks the game but to actually push it more in their favour is insane.

Since the circle of healing nerf, all the SFW WHO PLAY LIKE TRYHARDER (and not all SFW) don't loose time now, and just stick at the gen all the game

5 gen, three are on different gen since the fourth is chased

The time you get your prey, two gen can be done, three in the worse scenarii

Now, they can double a gen or triple it

They don't try to interact with the killer since healing is more longer than before, they don't want to loose times

There's no problem besides the next wave of people complaining about the new thing.

Bah, people complain about everything, on each side…
But sometimes, when they complain, we have to put aside our side and listening with some calm attitude
In this case… Clown are not the only one "problem" in the killer side survivor gonna face

Im still excited to go against it. As a survivor, All I care about is killer engagement. Gens can pretty much jump into the void. Its a boring mechanic that hopefully will be made fun or at least interesting. Yeah, Im one of those. Wasn't always, though.

Blight will still bend the knee to me. I will not allow him to become low A tier he used to be in prime!

A perk where Blight benefit and not Nurse, pretty funny

For my part, I'm more happy to see that, with this perk, a lot of "low tier" killer gonna be dangerous, and give more diversity in general in the roster

I definitely want in on this. Been wanting a way for Blight to get scary again. Mid B tier at best lately. Thank you!

It's not really only on him, all god pallet, with this perk, gonna be a dangerous tool against survivor, and more if the perk touch all survivor in the area of the pallet and not only the one who drop
