Even if you add hope to it, it still falls under naive person.

He hopes for something that is not going to happen.

Another message is he will get buffs if he is underperforming. Well, he already is underperforming by everyone who can't flick….

I quoted his message, exact line. What do you not understand about it?

He claimed Oni will be changed if he needs it. I say it's naive and he will not get any change for a long time.
People here claim it's good so he is not PC only killer, but he is still not good for console anyway. He will just be equally bad for everyone and boring. That seems as terrible change to me.

He claimed Oni will be changed if he needs it.

No, no he did not claim that.

If Oni needs help I hope he'll get something in exchange

Console clearly needs help with Oni, so why he wasn't changed along with this nerf?

    That doesn't answer my question.

My main issue was his naive idea, he will actually be changed for it, he won't be.

This change is not going to get any new players on Oni, only remove PC players who played for flick, which I expect is majority (including myself).

So it's just worse for the killer no matter what.

My main issue was his naive idea, he will actually be changed for it

I'm interested where you read that. He never said that.

He won't be suddenly better for console, he is exactly same. Just worse for PC too…
It's funny you think he will get something in exchange.

That's not even what he said. How do you interpret that into his post?

well, the change is intended, time to say farewell to dbd and move onto another game because there is no point in investing so many hours into one tricking such a cool and fun killer just for him to be treated this way because skill expression is not allowed :D

Agreed but that doesn't mean the issue shouldn't be talked about soloq is drowning so it should be talked about you might tell me you got rolled by a 4 man team or even a 3 man team but if I play 5 hours by myself and only make it out of less then ten matches something is wrong almost every match I play lately the killer has at least 3 hooks at 5 gens there's no reason the killer should have the ability to kill me with devour hope at 5 gens which has happened multiple times

Good, I just wanted to establish that. Otherwise I agree. SoloQ is hot garbage at the moment.

  • @amirfarokh said:

its same with me here killer main for 4 years ....

its not something new but now its just insane ..

the reason is almost every player now has atleast one or two p100 character and as p100 u get alot of red addones or best items

playing ghostface i did the p100 few weeks after the release and now i have from any addones atleast 2k even red ones any item atleast 500 to1k

i have almost 300 moris while im bringning mori every match

its same goes with surrvivors as p100 ace for example u would probably have buncha items and maps and why not using the best one every match ?😁

solution : syringes should be nerfed and not working on chases! or if u use the syringe then u cant touch gens for same amount of time or making passive time way more longer

Or at the very least make them not work with perks like We'll make it and We're going to live forever.

I don't even know yet if Made for This works with this but I'd imagine it does.

If you'd combine WGLF and MfT you'd get a passive < 8 second heal and endurance on both the healed and the healer.

That's 3 health states in record time for doing nothing but pressing a button. Anyone who doesn't see a problem with this has questionable motivations at best.

  • @Madmillennial said:

You load up, wait a few minutes to start a match. Within the first 15 to 20 seconds you're found first for whatever reason. You kite the killer for a bit, get downed and then.... games done....

The killer decides to hook you, camp outside the hook timer, and just wait. You however are playing solo-Q and pray your team knows how to deal with this situation. They don't unfortunately, and you get saved late and lost a hook state.

You get saved however it's super late, by only 1 survivor and in front of the killers face. He decides to go for you again. You kite him a bit more knowing yourgoing to die but it's okay at least your team has all the time in the world to do the gens right?

    Nope.

They stood around, hid, lollygagged. Got 2 gens done the whole time this was going on. I get downed again and die immediately on second hook.

I end the match which took all of about 8 minutes 10 if you include the pre load lobby with a whopping 8k points for all my troubles.

Survivors get punished when killers play dirty. We get no chance to get points bc we are robbed a game. Time wasted, frustrating as all get out and frankly not fun

Unfortunately this happens alot more than it should be we are at the mercy of how the killer decides to play ontop of random chance you get a decent team. Odds are against you both go in your favor in a match.

I hope they do something about this with the points for tunneled Survivors to make the match worth preservering and not "going next" during the quality of life changes.

Don't need massive game changes to fix the tunnel camp, just need point adjustments I think.

    Thanks for reading.

I get sent to Dead Dawg 5 times in a row as trapper. Object of Obsession or a key coupled with discord = 0 people getting trapped at any point. 1 hook at the very end of the match. Body blocking everywhere, sabos, head on, flashlight, syringe and a genrush build.

It's not like survivors are the only ones getting shafted. But then complain when the quad slowdown blight comes out.

I read it, but you specifically say "you didn't want them nerfed" but also "might require some attention".

    So explain that for me.

Clearly your don't think they should be buffed in any way. So explain what you think should be done. You aren't approaching this generally: "sweaty gameplay isn't fun" or something, you've specifically identified syringes. "Busted" as you say.

You say yourself that you win the games, and that your opponents even said gg at the end. Are you misinterpreting a couple crouches as BM instead of excitement that they actually pulled off the thing they're build was intended for?

These sound like good games to me. Good sports in the end game, you won, and some actual back and forth chases. You even overcame "the busted addon". So, if not a syringe nerf, then what, exactly "needs attention" here?

Let me answer by asking a question.

Is it alright to see 2-3 Syringes almost every single game now?

The problem for me isn't that you're getting a passive heal. That is strong but not overpowered. To me the problem starts when you metagame the ######### out of syringes, which can lead to really obnoxious games like it was back when instablind flashlights were a thing.

Pack a syringe + we're gonna live forever and bring a guy who sabos hooks. The guy on the ground can be healed passively in 8 seconds and he gets 10 seconds of endurance and there is literally nothing the killer can do about this except pick up again and pray that he doesn't get blinded (that is, if he even realizes what is going on — since there is no indication that a syringe was used).

Don't get me wrong, I also want busted ######### removed from killers.

That is why I am saying that this might require some attention. So I am making this thread to get more opinions. Because it is a developing trend that, quite frankly, should be monitored.

I too play survivor. I too used syringes and they do make things a lot easier. Will a syringe singlehandedly win you your matches? Hell no, that's not the point I'm making. Just now I played another trapper match vs 2 syringes and I won at 2 gens. What I'm trying to say is that 4 min-maxing pros can team up and bully the ever living ######### out of killers for many, many games on end.

You can only do this so long until people either stop playing killer or resort to running the obligatory quad slowdown blight everyone loves so much. I do like variety and I'm telling you that playing Pig vs that stuff makes you question your life decisions.

Well here it is, folks. The last usable iri item or add-on being targeted.

Brought to you by the same group who (successfully) got an iri killer add-on made base kit, btw.

Survivors are just not allowed to have anything functional in 2025 DbD apparently. Even if the counter to that item is checks notes injure the survivor in a shoebox sized map full of dead zones. Oh, and the add-on only works once and tells the killer that it's been used.

    I can't anymore.

Well there it is, folks. Not reading threads again. You're more of a headline guy, aren't you.

  • So when said low skill killers (definition needed) face said SWF, doesn't that reverse the difficulty ladder?

Every killer is easy mode, the only question is "how easy?". Survivor is hard mode. I've played both sides long enough to know. Your own matches showed balanced results on average, so you're just complaining that the survivors can put up a fair amount of resistance instead of BHVR handing you a free 4K.

Well that's a controversial opinion topped off with a bit of strawmanning.

  • @tjt85 said:

You guys are talking about that recent Hens video, huh?

My view, syringes are not a problem. Using a med kit for self healing is already pretty weak at 24 seconds, regardless of the rarity. So if equipping an Iri add-on is the only way for med kits to be somewhat useful as self healing items, I think this is fair.

Besides, what's the point of putting strong add-ons in the bloodweb in the first place if they're not going to give you more value than the brown/yellow/green ones? There has to be some reward to dumping so much BP into a Survivor's bloodweb. Let's not forget it has a one time use as well (unlike a Killer's Iri add-on, which is always in play for the entire trial).

I'm honestly getting tired of streamers who play this game professionally getting things nerfed for the rest of us because they can get "insane value" out of them. Trust me, if I made a similar pop a syringe in chase video, I promise you the video would consist of me wasting a whole bunch of syringes. Your average Survivor is not likely to get in chase value from a syringe. For most Survivors, it saves a bit of time because you can on sit a gen instead of spending that time healing ONCE per trial. Not a huge deal in my opinion.

Full disclosure, I may be slightly more of a Survivor main but a nerf to syringes wouldn't personally affect me. I've probably got around 100+ syringes on my main since I don't use items very often. I don't want to be put in a bad mood if the Killer brings Franklin's, so this opinion is coming from someone who doesn't even bring strong items to a trial (syringes or otherwise).

I'm not talking about the Hens video. I just know that it all started with the Tweet Hens put out. I don't watch Hens, but I have seen the Scott Jund video about it.

It's also not his video that made me make this thread, it's my own observation that Syringes are now everywhere.

The point of them costing more BP is kind of moot since a lot of those high MMR SWF groups are p100 — meaning they get syringes all the time, coupled with ez BP (recent 300% for example) they become so abundant that you can go for hundreds of games on end without running out.

The problem becomes much worse when you realize that you can pair the syringe with perks like "We'll make it" and "We're gonna live forever". If you can force the killer to slug you can pop a syringe on a downed survivor who gets healed in 8 seconds and receives 10 seconds of endurance.

Things can go out of hand really, really quickly if you really try. Which top MMR survivors obviously will since it's fun to do and it's absurdly strong.

If the Syringe wasn't as strong survivors would not bring them this consistently.

  • @jedimaster505 said:

skill issue. they just get 1 free hit the entire match IF they use it at the right time

Skill issue? How can it be a skill issue if I am playing at that MMR and still win with a Trapper? Come on now.

    just get 1 free hit

My brother in Christ "just 1 hit" can decide a match. x4 is simply cooked. Add a map offering and the proper build on a 4man on discord and you're in for a fun time.

I understand that that one free hit is probably not worth much when you're going against a giga blight or nurse. But that opens up the question: "Do you really want to go against that giga blight or nurse every game?"

I rarely play blight. I don't want to play nurse. I main Huntress, Billy and Bubba. I love playing Trapper, Clown and Pig. But my MMR is so boosted from my Huntress matches that playing Pig feels like an exercise in masochism.

Again, the opposition will chose easy mode — you're going in knowing that, while you also know that you are choosing hard mode.

The difference here is quite crazy.

A syringe here and there, alright whatever. But lately the usage of Syringes has skyrocketed, and continues to do so as multiple content creators started addressing this as well.

  • @crogers271 said:

We already know that a lot of survivor mains insist that it is not so, but the current meta proves that they very well know it's true.

Of course syringes are strong, especially when comparing to the maximum value a survivor can get from items. If you're just out to win its either that, BMPs, or aura reading keys as your sweatiest choices. You then have a few options that can be pretty good, extra charge medkit or skill check medkit, flashlight with background player, sabotage builds in a SWF, but syringes and BMPs are the most straight forward.

While I don't like the way the game is designed, it is how the game works - the game has very clear 'superior' items/addons, and then a lot of junk. Survivors can choose S tier items and killers can choose S tier killers.

The question is, is this supposed to be it? Will it stay this way? Should it stay this way?

Well what's the most extreme scenario? An S tier killer on meta build. Do the items need to stay at this level of power to make those games even? Probably, though if the syringe took more time to heal I think that would be a reasonable change.

Survivors can choose S tier items and killers can choose S tier killers.

It's sort of an arms race that leads to a rather monotone situation where top survivors will bring this stuff and then only face Blight, Nurse, Billy,…

I like going against competent SWF groups, but things like map offerings combined with Syringes + Sabo or Gen Rush builds are really overkill when you're not facing any of the above mentioned killers.

Playing Trapper is already choosing hard mode, the opposition choosing easy mode with that stuff makes some matches so hilariously one-sided that you have to ask yourself why you're even trying.

There is hardly an inbetween, either you are facing potatoes or SWF that will definitely bring this stuff, because why not.

    @Spare_Them_Mori_Me said:

What exactly is busted about them that you feel it warrants a nerf? Or whatever it is you're asking.

Its a 1 time addon that might not even do anything depending on the killer. It has the ability to be a playmaker, but so many things need to align if you're not using it in chase. Using it in chase is what makes it powerful imo.

What I am saying tho is that if you play to win you will enter the sweat zone very quickly, and that sweat zone might require some attention.

Attention? Its called moving up in rank. MMR. Whatever the broken thing than can't even be proven to work properly is called anymore. Sweat and these things are the end game. You've beaten the pubs and now you're getting decent gamers.

Not jabbing, but I gotta ask. What attention? You come upon some syringes and think it merits a thread? I mean, alright.

Syringes are a tool thats doing well. Not over-performing imo. But if you feel like they are, please discuss more. Thoughts on changes, problem areas, etc. I'd love to delve into it.

The game is largely about time management and building momentum. Syringes basically allow you to do two things at once. Repair a generator while getting passively healed, or reset a chase with no downside. A syringe vs an M1 killer is just straight up unfair since the killer can't do anything about it. Drop two pallets and hold W and you've reset the chase. Do that 4x and you've wasted so much of the killers time that there is next to no way to recover.

All of the SWF in those screenshots were nice to me and some stated that they want to face more Bubba, Pig, etc… Which is just simply not happening at those MMR levels. Because M1 killers cannot possibly compete with that stuff.

    @BurnedTerrormisu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/440020/the-syringe-situation-is-insane

so you won in all the screenshots even you brought some meme builds.

    so you want killer nerfed?

It would be braindead to believe that this warrants a nerf for killers. That would even make the problem I've mentioned worse.

Namely that top MMR survivors will only face Blight, Nurse and other busted killers.

Look I'm a killer main and even I would say delete nurse, nerf blight and at the same time adjust stuff like syringes. Take everything down a notch so that top MMR can experience a bit more variety.

Also I mentioned that I am certainly an exception. A god gamer if you will. You can't take my performance and balance around it because I am abnormal. I am a beast, ok? This has nothing to do with it.

I'm not here to call for nerfs, I am asking around for experiences and opinions. What I have in mind is breaking the stalemate that top MMR is facing. Also the screens I posted were mostly the wins, I also lost quite a few games. I think in that Bubba game I got 2 hooks, maybe 3. It was hilarious how little of a chance I had to do anything whatsoever.

I think one of the things that wears down a person playing dbd is just how fiercely competitive it can be. And how unrewarding it can be with so much focus on either escaping all the time or killing all the time. I think it would be great to add a mini game to dbd like a pinball game. You get a token for each trial that you complete, whether you escape or kill survivors wouldn't matter. You can then use a token to play a round of pinball. The rewards could be a bunch of different stuff, changing frequently between perks, cosmetics and items. Maybe even a pinball game for killer and one for survivor.

There could also be a lederboard with top winners, with special prizes awarded to those at the top of the list.

There would have to certain conditions to getting tokens, of course, such as you couldn't die on your first hook. No dcs and no offing onself on hook. This would keep people from loading into games in order to "go next" to get a token in order to grind. It might also slightly lessen people going next, as doing so would deprive them of a token and rewards.

I was thinking about having a minigame in dbd myself a few months back. I like the idea, will likely never happen tho.

  • It's not exclusive to DBD, but there are factors that make that anxiety stand out more. It's more of an anxiety towards being judged by others.

I would compare the situation to being the last one alive in a Counter Strike match where you know people are watching and judging every movement you make. That can devolve into a feedback loop if it goes unchecked, tanking your performance, making the issue worse.

If you wouldn't care about other peoples judgement in that way, you wouldn't feel it.

  • Great stuff, when's the PTB for that?

"Complexity" is an abstraction. Whether something is simple or complex, is a matter of how you analyze it. It is the analysis which makes something complicated by dividing the world into objects of thought. Genius in any field is a matter of taking apparently complex things and making them as simple as possible, which is why the greats in any field make it look easy. My perspective is heavily influenced by the Eastern approach to martial arts, so it is pretty counter-intuitive to the Western style of thought which is largely based on a tradition of scientific analysis (a min/max gamer who is carefully calculating all the variables at play is an example of the Western mentality).

In Bushido, there is this idea that the warrior must free his mind from preconceptions so that he can be prepared for an ambush from any angle. The issue with the Western approach to discipline via intellectual analysis and structured training, is that it is too slow and cumbersome. If you think about what to do while being ambushed, you are already too late, the killer has hit you. There is an art of spontaneity in Eastern martial arts whereby one responds intelligently to a situation without premeditation. This clear awareness is the well from which unpredictable patterns of behavior emerge. A controlled accident. The one being ambushed in this case responds instantaneously without any forethought about what the opponent is doing. Still, this response is not stupid, but remarkably witty. This explains why impressive plays in Dead by Daylight evoke laughter from the player/audience. Their mind is "blown", or unconditioned.

This is highly applicable to a game like Dead by Daylight because survivors are continuously being ambushed and aggressively hunted down by a killer. Even if you put aside perks and items altogether, there are an infinite amount of possibilities to explore within the finite parameters of the game code. For example, survivors have many potential paths to choose from in any given moment and mind-gaming can have a great deal of nuance. While some may be inclined to believe that mind-gaming is simply a matter of luck, of guesswork, from an Eastern perspective there is actually an underlying intelligence which is at work, but which is difficult or impossible to put into words.

I'm gonna be honest, while I am familiar with what you are talking about, I'm going to dismiss it for the same reason you lean into it.

    But I will address

For example, survivors have many potential paths to choose from in any given moment and mind-gaming can have a great deal of nuance.

Which is certainly true. No perks required, start without them. You're absolutely right and I'll tell you that the majority of people have a clear lack of mastery of the fundamentals.

You're greatly mistaken if you believe that there aren't people who do take into consideration what you are talking about.

But you don't see them. They have no name and they disappear as fast as they appeared. The majority can't learn it, it's not possible by nature.

I don't know how any new players could come into the game now just with the shear number of things they need to learn and how many thousands of hours it takes to become even just mediocre at the game.

They will come and they will not stick around, I guarantee you that. The new player experience is absolute trash and there's also plenty of people who will use that opportunity to gank the ever living ######### out of new players.

  • @TWS001 said:

At one point probably after they nerfed COB/Eruption/Overcharge, it felt like there was a lot more variety in builds on the survivor side especially, that were viable.

Lately though, it feels like that variety has narrowed drastically. I play survivor and I play against nothing but Blight, Billy and Nurse who seems back on the menu after not seeing her much recently. The Blights and Billy's have Pain Res, Grim Embrace, Dead Mans Switch and another tracking perk without fail.

Play killer and it's nothing but Syringes, Styptics, Flashlights, Flashbangs and every second chance perk going.

It's just a vicious circle. One breeds the other. If you don't bring these things, you have a way greater chance of losing. I hate playing meta and therefore I lose a lot of games nowadays! Has gradually happened over time in every PvP game I've played and it'll only get worse until all the casual and new players completely dry up. Feels like we are getting there already.

Just wait for all the new FNAF fans getting curbstombed by smurfs. That's gonna be one hell of a chapter.

In real life snowboarding many years ago the 1440 rotation was the revolutionary trick that blew the judges mind and received a top score. The 2340 spin that a snowboarder landed in the 2025 Big Air competition was considered only possible in video games back then. It took someone that was willing to push the boundaries of their sport. What you call wishful thinking, I call an open mind. There is no spoon because the object is the subject. Change the way you look at the game and the game you look at changes.

Your comparison between flashlights and syringes is highly debatable but I won't go deep into that. The focus of my post is to point out the vast potential for unique and effective playstyles that are simply waiting to be discovered by anyone willing to experiment for themselves. Sure, running straight at the killer the entire match is probably a reliable way to get yourself killed (hey, who knows, some killers might spare you), but that doesn't mean there aren't breakthroughs to be had which will reshape the currently trending meta.

I believe that the niche comp scene and relatively small group of popular streamers for this game have only scratched the surface of what is possible with sufficient ingenuity.

Well at this point we'll have to define what the goal of any of this is.

DBD isn't that complex, there is a definite finite set of states. Sure the possible perk combinations are ridiculous in number, but the vast majority of them do nothing. Like I said, you can play survivor on the highest level without using any perks, and you'll see the finite possibilities and how far perks can take you.

Also there is a big difference between Killer, SoloQ Survivor and SWF.

Like I've said you can win with goofy builds, you can win without any build at all or you bring perks/items/addons that alter the underlying fundamentals in a way that are mathematically already more beneficial than certain other combinations.

If you want to go for near infinite chases versus an M1 killer I doubt anything can beat Sprintburst + Vigil + Fixated + Syringe.

Do you want to make a 4.4m/s killer think you're cheating? Play Hope + MFT and keep yourself in deep wound in the endgame. Congratz, you are now equal speed with the killer. Combined with fixated and smart play you can keep him out of chase and become effectively — literally — uncatchable.

  • While I understand where you are coming from, I largely think that this is wishful thinking.

That might be the case for other games, but not DBD. The game is not that flexible.

Certain perks and perk combinations for both sides are objectively bad.

Survivor doesn't even require perks, you can win without any perks to begin with. Perks like Finesse become a no-brainer because in the right hands they are literally uncountable. Syringes are uncounterable for M1 killers, therefore I pick the syringe over a flashlight.

Flashlight can be countered in many ways, even by M1 killers. Syringe is very difficult or even impossible to counter in certain situations. Especially in soloQ you do not have much wiggle room with your perk selections. Can you do goofy stuff? Absolutely, but it will be far from effective.

This game is far from any sort of balance and certain things can absolutely be exploited to the point of unfairness.

He was one of my least favorite killer to play with. You cant hide from him anywhere, i spend half the match in the bushes healing myself or others which is always boring as hell, and each match drags on forever, because each legion only has perks that slow down whole game, dragging out the match even longer. And the worst thing is that there is usually at least one player in the team who falls next to him after 5 seconds, and game is lost anyway, despite everyone trying.
Luckily legion was rare in dbd...

I hated him completely after the last two weeks of 2v8. Every match with him was awful, unless a complete noob was playing, who got smacked with palette about 20 times during one match. But apart from that, every semi-competent player was a pain.

Today i had 5 already, almost in a row (if you dont count the two matches where someone gave up on the first hook). After second one, for the first time, I started disconnecting so often on purpose after over 3000 hours. Ive reached the limit. I have a half hour penalty now, I wont start this game today. Its funny that developers want to punish people even more. I honestly dont think anything would stop me from avoiding every legion at this point.

IMO there should be a limit. There are 30 killers in the game, and the player gets one 3 times in a row? identical maps one after another have never been a problem for me, but this is now. i dont want to play with legion anymore.

In general, i think each player should be able to choose one killer they do not want to play with.

This would definitely solve a lot of frustrations in this game.

    What do you think?

    What do you think?

That's my secret. I never think.

yeah, I don’t get it either. I can’t believe that it’s not technically possible to have the game be able to automatically detect when a player is doing something that should not be possible in the game. This should be able to catch even subtle cheating. For example, survivor is running at a higher than their base speed and doesn’t have any perks that would allow them to do this. Game should be able to detect stuff like that.

It's a technical impossibility when your code is so spaghetti that changing one line here has consequences in a completely separate area that is seemingly unrelated. We've seen it time and time again.

If only you knew how bad things really are…

I don't understand why it's so hard to add server side checks for cases where not even high ping can cause someone to teleport from one side of the map to the other, or move at speeds not even possible to achieve in game, or instantly heal someone. This would curb the blatant cheaters considerably, leaving the subtle ones which sadly are harder to detect.

If they add another 'if' case to their code, the entirety of dbd will collapse.

The free account problem could be easily solved if BHVR and/or Epic would simply deactivate any unused account from that free giveaway.

Watch them accidentally nuke the progress on all active accounts while trying to do that.

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

I'm just hoping future game dev teams can take BHVR's blunder of offering unlimited free epic accounts as an example of what not to do. The faster the industry realizes that offering free unlimited accounts will cause a mass infestation, the better.

Given the rapidly dropping IQ of the general population, I would not bet money on that.

  • Hackers will always win at the end. It's an arms race they know they will lose.

  • Based GIMP user. I appreciate the effort. People cannot resist the clickbait.

  • Does nothing since you can get a new injected account pretty much instantly for very little money and effort.

Some people are just terrible human beings. It’s as simple as that. There’s no point in trying to understand it.

Especially around these parts and DBD in general. Something about this seems to attract even more cracked up, delusional and downright mentally ill people than any other game.

To be fair, you did string him along. But chats like this are not uncommon.
I only ever get really good feedback, really bad feedback or no feedback at all. There's no in between.

Also used to screenshot the most hilarious ones but at some point I gave up on it.

I made a Huntress compilation. Not sure what counts as youtube slop, since I uploaded it to youtube. But my editing is ######### so maybe that redeems me.

  • The down vote on the post above me is flippin wild

  • As per my Dead by Stats statistics I play more Killer than Survivor. 60% killer, 40% survivor.

I gotta say that I stopped putting any of my BP into survivors and I very rarely touch survivor anymore as I find it has become extremely unfun to play. I got about 2k hours in this game and play since 2019 and I am at a point where I could comfortably say I wouldn't touch soloQ survivor until substantial changes have been made.

In my personal opinion, the biggest issue that this game has is having too much killer variety and killers with powers that are just plain unfun to play against (and arguably play as). Coupled with the engagement based match making it leads to exceedingly frustrating situations that do not warrant me investing any more time into this.

Not even going to touch upon the issue of downright terrible map design in some instances.

I see no way for BHVR to remedy this in any meaningful way, so that's probably it for me, I'm only going to be playing killer from this point forward.

  • Which is not their fault since DBD clearly has elements of a competitive game.

BHVR was leaning into both sides, casual and competitive. Can't blame the players for following up with this.
