Ah yes, the knight really needed to get more distance and setup speed on his guards. He really wasn't toxic enough already leaving guard to camp hook every time while chasing someone else.

For me, I don't say "GG" unless it was genuinely a good game. meaning both sides had fun, played well, and there was no poor behavior involved such as bully squads or hard tunneling. If the game was played where everyone was allowed to have fun (SUPER rare in dbd), then i will accept a "GG". But usually when I get a GG in this game its from the problematic player and they're being facetious.
That being said if I felt it was genuinely a "GG" im gonna have words to say beyond two letters. Im gonna compliment and talk to them, have an actual convo with them.
"GG" just feels lazy and as though it is expected or required. Making it not feel genuine and is there out of culturally forced "politeness".
I mean if you don't wanna say gg don't say gg as long as you're not doing the same as them lmao

A good game is what I enjoyed. Beeing slugged for 4k, tunneled out, playing against a sabosquad and such things are usually not a funny, enjoyable game even if both side do their best.
The part about not being toxic was an important part of my message

Honestly I do not understand why should anybody say GG without a reason. GG means Good Game. If it is not, then why say it anybody?
But yeah, that mate has some problems…
Whether you win or lose, it's a good game when people do their best on both side without being toxic. But now that I say it it's kinda rare when both side aren't toxic.

I only leave for killer that shouldn't exist, like kpop singer. What even is the point of running anymore?

We get sexy revealing outfit for males and quite a bit, not gonna complain for once, it's not completely female sided for once. Only model wise I think the female shapes are meant to be more attractive than the male ones

Mori need an animation, would be broken if you just kill and go
Also it's a literal game about hitting, hooking and killing people? How is mori too violent
-
Yes let's blame the killer for "wanting 4k" again and not raise the real issue of the 2 last survivors playing hide and seek forcing the killer to play like that

If you gender swap 1 your gonna have to make it a whole cosmetic collection for the whole roster like female dwight etc
Wdym, survivor are already skin of each other, new survivors don't bring anything aside new perk to the pool but at the end of the day playing 1 survivor is playing any survivor

And instead of fixing that, killers just give up any time they aren't on Midwich? Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Again, you know that this can happen and you consent to it every time you load into a match. If you can't handle that, then don't queue up. It's that simple.
Ain't nothing to fix unless dev decide to give killers some love. SO yeah, this feature would be easier to dev than believing in the dev to balance the game.
-
@Xernoton said:
Great. Now every game goes 2 minutes because then the killer gives up or a survivor is already out of the match.
How about instead of giving killers a way out early, we actually hold people accountable for queueing up? As long as everyone follows the rules, you know exactly what you queued up for, so you should stay in the game or simply not queue up to begin with.
That would be true if people weren't all playing try hard gen rush infinite palette loop builds, and that 70% of the maps weren't survivor sided

As long as there are no Killer bots, no. DC penaltys should stay for killers at all costs. There is nothing worse than being on the exit gate because you had a good match and the killer ragequits because of a diaper tantrum. So all your efforts were null and your time got stolen.
Survivors do ragequit far more often, yes. But as i said the bots at least replace those that wouldve been not mutch of help anyway. You do realise if the killer quits you still get escape points and task validation for escaping? Changes literally nothing for you if you're at the escape gate or not.
Also the penalty in itself is so stupid I can't even comprehend. I have maybe 1/7 or 1/8 bad matches against sweaty try hards that I usually leave, and my penalty still increases to the next rank. I'd understand the increase if you keep leaving in a row, but let's say you play 30 match in a day, leave 5 of them, you still get the 1h penalty if the quit were spread out. Then you do a few matches the next day, quit once and get the 6h. If people think the game isn't against killers this definitely show it is.

"Here's the thing. Survivors only hide and wait because they know the Killer is going to aggressively rotate to each remaining gen. The risk of getting caught doing gens increases with how many gens are left and if you are 3 gen'd. If it's a smaller map it again amps up the difficulty."
See that's survivor skill issue. They just do gen, they don't think about how gen placement play a role. I use that a lot as a killer. I see people being try hard gen rushers? I control them to repair gen far and leave the 3 last gen practically next to each other, at this point their game is lost. Survivor need to understand gen repair placement matters. There's nothing to fix there, just people need to understand game mechanics.
As a survivor I always aim to do gen at the middle of the map first because that only leave gens on the edges by the end of the game which is way harder to patrol. If you get 2 gens opposite of each other at the end it's very hard to cover for most killer if 2 people start repairing those 2 opposite gens.

and the other part? where those kinds of survivors will probably just stay to farm bloodpoints off of you? due to there being no timer or incentive to leave?
No you do keep the timer. It's like a normal end game collapse except you don't get to use end game collapse perk so people don't abuse it for free kill/point but really just out of frustration to end the game. When people start getting killers that are often frustrated by always fighting swf try hard builds and end the game early then maybe people will start making creative build and play the game for fun and not like a job.

I think we can agree that Survivors need basekit unbreakable maybe at the cost of 1/3 of their total "being slugged time"?
Maybe that cost should increase as as more gens get completed, resulting in no basekit unbreakable after 3 gens?
Im just spitballing here. But if bHVR's slug data is correct that the average survivor is only slugged for like 14 sec maybe after 25 seconds it could be.
I can agree slugging in early game should be made harder, I dont like the games where we all get slugged at 5gens. it sucks.
Being slugged at 5 gens is a you issue. They didn't add icon to see what people are doing for nothing. If I'm on a gen and I see someone doing nothing, I assume they will help, if they don't then not my problem I ain't wasting time for people who don't wanna be useful. If someone isn't picked up and I see people getting hurt, then I assume he's just slugging and stay on my gen, I have 0 reason to enter the killer's stupid game.
-
You know, you're putting a band aid on the issue, not fixing it. Do you know why killer do that? Because the 2 last survivors are playing hide and seek hoping the other die first so they can get the hatch. Maybe fix this behavior first before blaming killers, again.

@DarkTheKitty said:
as much as the killer being able to open the doors early could help with frustrating matches… we're forgetting that would probably trigger endgame collapse and some killers could just go NOED, two other endgame collapse/exit gate related perks, with a perk that blocks the exit gates and just trigger endgame collapse right at the start of the game to kill at least 2-3 survivors and possibly secure a win, unsure of how healthy for the game a build like that is tbh and if the killer could open the gates early and probably trigger endgame collapse too… and im a killer main and im saying this is probably not a good idea… and if opening a door early wouldn't trigger the collapse there's not really an incentive for survivors who want to use you to farm bloodpoints to leave through the gates.
Simple, condition all those perk to not trigger if door are opened early. They should only trigger if 5 gens are done or hatch is closed.
-
People who say they're playing killer a lot and see no issue with WoO I wanna know what killer you main. Pyramid head hitting through walls? Or something that just murder you without effort from afar.
Any killer who has to chase normally after survivors and doesn't have anything to counter someone going from palette to palette knows WoO is too strong right now, because people are just gen rushing all the time these days so you chase one, het gets you to like 2-3 palette, you go to another one, same thing, another one, same thing, and by then only 2 gens left already
Which also make me think that with the amount of perk existing these days (I have 7 pages on survivor and still missing a lot), perk should be placed in categories, like "generator", "survival", "cooperation" or stuff like that and everyone, survivors and killers should be limited to 1 perk per category. Maybe people will start doing fun and creative build instead of the same copy/paste try hard one.

Well, that's your experience, not all players spend too much time in this game to learn every map and every tile
But by that logic, killers shouldn't see generators aura, they should learn the spawn of every gen, right?
It has always been the design of the game for the survivor to find their objective and anything that can help them, it's survival, not click and collect.
If we take your logic killer should see all obstacles too so they can dodge infinite loop.

Windows is such a new-player friendly perk, as it teaches tile layouts and possible pallet spawns to those willing to learn. It's also very solo queue friendly because they have no way to know what resources have been used up compared to comms. When it comes to the veteran players also using it often it just makes them better. They're able to chain tiles more frequently, and not run into dead zones unless they have to.
So messing around with this perk must be done carefully, maybe just re-adding a range or small cool down. Imo the perk is fine as is though.
But as been said many time, removing the ability of survivors to do mistakes (vastly) just keep a lot of killer from playing. If you take the most basic killer like Wraith, it needs survivor to do mistakes so he can catch them. Invisibility is nice but it only serve to ambush people, it doesn't really work during a chase where people are aware of you and always next to a window/pallet.
-
Another balancing could be the perk giving you blind for 10sec when using an obstacle that was highlighted

None of this option are good. Just remove dc penalty (only for killers)
Also yeah, DC penalty for killer is dumb. There's no team mate you let down, you lose your accessories (while survivors don't), and you get penalized while survivor would not if they were to let themselves die on hook.
-
"From everything you said, you sound like you’re struggling to play as killer and you will need to find new strats for yourself on what works best."
"but your whole post screams I want free kills"
Or maybe there's some people who still enjoy playing a normal killer like the trapper that isn't OP as heck and isn't throwing infinite chains on survivors on all the map, or throwing crap from a mile away, or hitting through walls; which are the killers the game is balanced with.

Here’s a thought. Try to out smart them. If you can’t do that, go play survivor, or another game. 🤷🏼♂️
if you’re not willing to learn and adjust your strategy, that’s on you, as a killer you need to be prepared for whatever they throw at you. There is almost a counter for everything. Use your head. You say this as if the game isn't survivor sided. I can outsmart normal players, which don't exist anymore, because every survivor just come with the same try hard builds for looping/gen rush.
The simple fact that some maps have 2 windows that allow looping for a few minutes shows how they don't care about killers.

A few suggestions;
- Go farm points
- Go afk and make a snack.
- Go do another activity until it’s over
- Suck it up and play it through, learn from the mistakes made and keep trying.
How is farming points in a game going sour even an option?
When you go afk survivors just waste time trying to get you to do points for them, maybe you just wanna start another game asap instead of doing whatever you're forced to do while waiting for the game to end.
And I don't see the point of playing through a game of survivor trolling the heck out of you just to feel more miserable and hating the game more.

Thread No 599579347593 regarding windows.
if something is overpowered because people use it often, then we have to nerf Pain-res, pop and corrupt as well, because 95% of games contain at least one or two of those.
WoO is a tool to adjust for a lack of information. Learning every map-tile with every possible pallet spawn AND then not knowing if a teammate dropped it would be overkill for a game, where fun shuld be central and not everyone whants to play comp where i would argue that yu can expext that. As always: main argument is that you could still do that and thus, you are wasting a perkslot. What do you think people were doing when Kate wasn't a survivor
