  • Honestly that would be a bad idea. I mean first of all, fragmenting the playerbase in many different gamemode would make quetimes even worst. And second, many people cannot, or just simply not want to play killer. Imagine that you almost never played any killers, and you get a nurse (which needs experience). With random perks. Or you get a trapper (which also needs experience on killer side altogether), or some other weak killer as a newbie. With random perks.

That would be a disaster for that player, especially if they wanted to play survivor. I think the main thin in random perks is that you know well enough your killer/survivor to be able to handle the game with anything you get. And in these cases…

So many people would avoid from the beginning, or after a very bad experience the gamemode, which would make the quetime for it even worse.

Yes, I almost always see such threads on the front pages, you all write as if they will never be banned, they will be banned, believe me, any software gets detected sooner or later, they will get what they deserve, so calm down, and if you can't wait to ban them, then there is a ticket system through support!

You know the problem is that

    • We have to report them with video evidence, which is for most casual player is not an easy option. Since there is no replay system, and they admited that they have no log about anything what happens in the game.
    • Most of the times it takes a long time (days, weeks) to ban them, and to be honest loosing a free account is not "what they deserve"
    • The free Epic store let them make infinite accounts, so even if they get banned they just use another one
    • On xbox also basicly they can have infinite accounts
    • Since YEARS there is no server side validation on almost anything

Easy to say "calm down" when not you the one who get holding hostage, and get targeted for every game, or not you get doxed and harrassed by them.

I don’t play all that often but I haven’t run into a blatant cheater in a very long time. I see lots of people complain about it here, but wonder how big of a problem it really is. I play in the US, usually around 9-11PM. Maybe it’s more common in other regions and/or at different times? I also haven’t seen a lot of discussion about an “epidemic” amongst popular content creators. Seems like there would be a lot more complaining about it by content creators if it truly is a widespread problem.

But I do agree that it’s completely unacceptable that the game can’t automatically detect when someone does something that shouldn’t be possible and simply auto-ban them. Is there concern that some players who aren’t cheating could be banned if there are glitches in the game?

So youy do not play often, only 2 hours, but YOU do not see it so there is no problem… Classic. And since content creators are not raging about it (they did btw many times, just remember the walking dead stream) there's also no problem…

Survivor players having their feedback heard but not killers and the action of the devs shows it.

The fact that the devs cancelled the tunnel/slug reduction twice shows otherwise. The Survivor buffs from 2+ years ago would be obsolete by today's standards.

The 9.2 tunnel/slug reduction would have put the game in a much healthier state eventually. Yes, adjustments were needed, but it could have been made fairer for everyone if we (devs, Killers, and Survivors alike) had given it time to work with and work out the kinks rather than just shutting it down. Now we're all still stuck in the same boat, Survivors being frustrated with tunneling while Killers allegedly "need to" tunnel. We all know gen speeds are not the reason Killers tunnel, and that was just proven in one of my matches this morning when I got tunneled out by a Legion who ran all gen slowdown plus Legion pin. Why did he need to tunnel when he already had all the slowdown?

This is why tunneling needs to be disincentivized sooner rather than later.

My man… He maybe didn't need to. But his experience was that he is need to, and he cannot wait to try it out - because if he is right, then he lost. So yes, the genspeed is the problem since a very long time. All killer mains told when ruin was first changed that it will only make killers tunnel more, since their safety feeling about "I have time to play" is taken away. And look, it is proven, that we was right.

Right now many killers tunnels because they tend to. If they would experience that they can do anything against genspeed beside that, especially not with an S tier killer, the majority wouldn't do it.

And to be honest healspeed not helps either - no killer with right mind will choose somebody, who he need to hit twice, meanwhile another one get healed in 4-5 seconds. Because taking away one health state can take a realy long time. So of course they would choose the injured one, if they can.

Because the thread topic is about killers giving hatch, and why they should manipulate statistics?

I've had two replies now to this. One person claiming that my comment is off topic, and now yours which is seemingly offended that I'm not going off topic to talk about things that aren't in this post.

If you want to create a topic about survivors being entitled, go ahead, since that's also a thing for some people. But that's not really what this post is about, since it's directly taking about killers.

First of all, I would suggest that you don't tell others what to write where. What's next, I'll have to respect what my opinion might be?
The wording of the topic title itself is frivolous. It says why you should NEVER give a hatch to killers. After all, why is it offtopic that I wrote why I think they should NEVER give one?
And sorry, but this ghaslightning attempt is that I'm offended... I don't know why you hallucinated that. I was responding to the whole idea that killers want to win at all costs. And I mentioned that the survivor side has the same mindset, they want to win at all costs, it's completely pointless to argue about that.
You yourself are writing about entitled players, so I really don't understand why you got involved in my reaction after all that. In which I was responding to your comment on the one hand, and then to the topic...

  • Okay, maybe you are not new to the game, but you are definitly newbie as a killer as others mentioned earlier.

Saying that those perks are free anything… What? Which perk is free? I mean ok, Lethal is free. Once in the game, at the very beginning. The 2 second part needs another perk slot, and some condition to trigger that other perk. And all the other perks demand something from you (for example to hook somebody), so it is not free. Or something from the survivors, which you as a killer not really able to force (or at least very limitied), and after the first value from it they will probably know that you have, and play around it.

    • Nurses - used infinitely, not even a cooldown - Sure, but works only if you heal too close
    • Killer instinct - used infinitely, also makes the surv not be able to detect terror radius (But no hand holding right?) - No killer has an infinite killer instinct. None. And you know when and how it will show you.
    • Awakened Awareness - used infinitely, no cooldown - Only infinite if the survivor is not wiggleing
    • BBQ - don't even have to explain myself - Not infinite, only a few seconds IF YOU FAR ENOUGH, and you have to hook somebody to trigger it
    • Bitter Murmur - used infinitely, for basically free. - Not infinite, triggers only if you LOOSED a gen

Wallhack… Seriously. Survivor aurareadings are not wallhacks? Why are they different? Also the whole point of the perk system is that you get advantages in some situations. On both sides.

    About the 2nd chance perks….

    Deadh Hard
    Decisive Strike
    Off the Record
    Borrowed Time
    Borrow as basekit
    Unbreakable
    Adrenaline
    Buckle Up
    Soulguard
    WGLF

And we can keep bring perks to there.

When I said "speed" it was not the toolboxes… It was just a list. Speed as you used them have on survivor side too. Called exhaustion perks. But there are others too, to vault the windows faster (meanwhile you already able to vault faster then the killer, and the killer cannot vault a pallet for example). And yeah. The killers are faster then the survivor, but seriously man. Without that they would not able to catch anybody who not stand still, since their hitbox is bigger, they cannot vault pallets etc. To bring that there is just dumb to be honest… And definitely not holding hands.

Syringe use the medkit… Yeah. But save a ton of time. You can chase, you can heal somebody else, you can repair - the heal will kick in over time. And all the killer can do against it is hit you before it happens.

Calling those perks "holding hands" is dumb I think especially since all of those are in the kit for survivors too.

  • Why are you surprised? They care about the money. Not the devs, but the company. So of course they rush out DLCs. And until people keep buying it nothing will change.

    Look on the roadmap.

    June - New chapter
    July - New chapter
    September - New chapter
    November - New chapter

Yeah there is a line for the whole year for balance, and quality improvements, but we all know how offen they come…
4 new chapters within 6 months. Of course it will be a bugfest. And of course there is no time to properly test it or fix it even if the devs would like to (and I assume they would like to). And as I said - nothing will change until people keep throwing money on them, since why would they spend money/resources on things, if it is good enough for players.

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

I mean, while this is theoretically true, it would take incredibly large numbers of killers (like most of them across the player base) doing this consistently at every opportunity to have any noticeable impact.

The are two major factors that directly clash with your points that prevent this from happening:

    1. The "I'm not responsible for your fun" mindset.
    2. Killers care more about winning, especially winning "harder", in the moment, than they do about some arbitrary statistic.

I'll also add that, while this isn't all killer players, there are an awful lot of entitled players who simply expect buffs no matter what. That they deserve to 4k every game, and if they aren't able to, even once, that means the game *must be* survivor sided and killer needs buffs no matter what the statistics say.

Those players think they are entitled to both, and "shouldn't have to make sacrifices for the buffs they clearly deserve already".

I really don't understand why you bring that up there. And why only from the killer side. The same exact mentality is there on survivor side, when they think they deserve to get out. They deserve hatch, they deserve escape, the killer shouldn't hook them 3 times and such.

But that is really irrelevant in that thread I think.

I think giving hatch will not really impact the big picture, but definitely impact YOUR mmr, since you will kill only 3 survivor even tho you could kill 4, so you will get worst opponents.

And also I think killers should give hatch only in some special cases. When somebody deserved, because their team tried to kill them. Or when they were funny. Or something like this. Not always especially 'cause survivors will think they have the right to get hatch as the last ones. I saw so many times they flaming me to not give it to them… Like they would give me free kills just for fun…

Killers want as much hand-holding as possible. What with all the aura reading perks, speed, slow downs, just remove survivors from the ######### game, as that's what it seems like.

You are a newbie right? And not really playing killers.

What about the aura reading perks on survivors, the speed, the slow downs? What about the BNP, the syringe, the dozens of 2nd chance perks? The built in BT? If those are "hand holdings" then definitely survivors have more of them

  • @zarr said:

Absolutely. We need server-sided hit authority, either doing hit reg itself or at least general hit validation on the servers. I suspect big part of the reason why we don't have that is that BHVR just does not want to put in the work to recode the hit reg system and to put that load on the servers/networking budget, where the server would then have to do hit calculations every time, processing, receiving and sending out more info, which would probably cost them more.

But they should at the very least show killer ping in the lobby. If they don't want to show discrete ping because it could allow player identification to a degree, show indicators (e. g. green bar for <50ms, yellow for 50-90ms, red for >90ms). There are already ping indicators for laggy survivors in the lobby, and there used to be one for killers too that they've removed for some reason. Killers can also see survivor characters, items, even profiles, and use them to decide to dodge. But survivor players don't even get to see and decide to dodge based on the killer ping when the hit reg is killer client-sided…

There is an indicator ingame for the killer.

100 ping is nothing. The problem starts around 300. And i really do not understand why only the killer's ping is a problem. It is a problem on survivors too, hit misses even tho it connected, you literally cannot pick them up if their ping is high.

Also why do you think that it is intended? Lagswitch is not really a thing nowdays, and you cannot deicide which server you will get when que up. It is not a "killer thing" much more on BHVR to have servers closer to those, who now forced to play on a server which is far away.

A wheel or simple call out functions would be nice. Or comms either one.

    For lobby loadout:
I mean thats just a downside of a benefit. Nothing is 100% in this game. The comms function above could be abused as well by trolls right? Nothing is perfect.

Your reason though is exactly what is wrong with survivor mode. If you dont want people to see your perks, honestly, we should just put you in your own mode where you want to play by yourself. Its a team game, team loadouts isnt foreign in…. any multiplayer game I can think of.

…. There is a reason SWF is able to do things SoloQ is not able to do. A lot of it has to do with how they synergize with eachother, and not stack open handed or multiple prove thyselves etc..

"oh Feng has this setup and Kate has this setup okay, let me try to compliment those. Or let me adjust my play KNOWing they have things like shoulder, deliverance, etc…"

Even MMO's have this with basic inspection functions.

Eventually youll get a game where people wont dodge your no mither, left behind key holder with hide perks. Whatever, its not like youll sit forever with no match. ESPECIALLY on survivor. You dont wait to play survivor in this game anymore. You wait to play killer.

Even the 2v8 mode does this to an extent, where it tells you what kind of composition you have (spotters, chasers, repair…ers, etc.)

The mobile version of this game did this just fine.

The amount of benefits for a lobby loadout team screen, completely outweighs the extreme minority amount of lobby dodging disadvantage that would even happen.

This is nice but you say those things like those are unarguable facts. Do you have any data that dodging because of perks is a the EXTREME minority? Where it is?

Also comparing the 2v8 to the normal mathces a little bit extreme…

I see, well thank you for the information. I really don't have any solution to this issue, other than perhaps re-working some killers power to be less frustrating?

That would open an even worst hell then now… Do you remember the South Park episode when everything was removed from the Christmas show because somebody got offended by them and it is ended up with some crap? That would be the same. Somebody got offended because the killer can blink. Or traps are annoying. Vomit is annoying. Mending is annoying. Minions are annoying. Stealth killers are boring. Etc etc etc. If you try to make something good for everybody you will end up with something which is good for nobody.

  • @SotvanZander said:

I would also like to add that today I was playing as Plague and in 3 games back to back I had two people give up on first hook. Because they found plague "boring".… Whatever that means.

This caused 3 games in the row were the other two remaining survivors had 0 chance to win and I get 0 pips because I am not dooming the two survivors to death because of entitlement of other two I just let them farm and leave...

this type of behavior in my opinion is unacceptable, it is becoming more apparent to me that some survivors only like to face certain killers and will not participate if they perceive the particular killer as "boring" based on their power.

Usually boring means they cannot play against, or it is more then shift+w to win.

  • To be honest I don't think Chuck is a real stealth killer. Survivors get clues if he is close even in stealth. And he is even much smaller, hard to spot so I see no problem about his terror radius

Whether you win or lose, it's a good game when people do their best on both side without being toxic. But now that I say it it's kinda rare when both side aren't toxic.

A good game is what I enjoyed. Beeing slugged for 4k, tunneled out, playing against a sabosquad and such things are usually not a funny, enjoyable game even if both side do their best.

  • I not really understand that.

I mean yes, there is a problem with that go next thing. Yes, devs (and nobody) can force somebody to play a game if they do not want.

But if you que up you know, that maybe you will face with something which is unfun for you. And since this is an online, multiplayer (and PvP) game nobody cares about your fun. Like you not care about their - otherwise you wouldn't go to the next match as fast as possible. Those people should be penalyzed, because they ruined the game for 4 other players. I think this is that simple.

If you burned out, if you so annoyed that loosing a chase or anything like that makes you want to go next then you have to take a brake. And the game should enforce it for you, defending other players from you.

  • Honestly I do not understand why should anybody say GG without a reason. GG means Good Game. If it is not, then why say it anybody?

But yeah, that mate has some problems…

  • @cesspoolechochamber said:

If you slug, camp or tunnel early in the match. Why would anyone want to play a normal match with you? You want people not to hide and draw the game out then stop drawing the game out or looking for a cheap advantage. Majority of people playing killer looking to do those things stick around in end game chat go get people riled up. You waste other players time they then they will waste yours. Pretty simple

If you slug, camp or tunnel any point of the game it is normal part of the game, even tho if it is not funny for the survivors. I never saw that "taking hostage the game is only bannable if the killer didn't do anything what annoys you".

Slugging, camping and tunneling progress the game forward. Walking around the map's edge is not. It is that horribly simple.

  • You cannot even hit

  • @CursedPerson said:

For tunneling survivors should get a basket babysitter effect. It should be much harder to tunnel them but not impossible. For slugging. The biggest things are the lack of agency and there should be safeguards to prevent 4 man slug and drawing out the endgame. like if there are 3 downed they can pick themselves up (maybe add a deep wound for doing so). And if there's only 2 left they can pick themselves up. Something stronger should also be rewarded for hooking like a mini pop that give and extra 5-10% regression

Why? I mean there is already a basekit BT. You already can pick 4 perks against tunnel if you feel that you got tunneled out too many times. How many more freebies would be enough?

Also that 2 left they can pick themself up… Why? I agree, it is not fun. But you can bring unbreak. Your teammate can sneak upon you and get you up. Why should survivors get themself up for free? I realy hate to search the 4th survivor. So in 99% of time I just make a big circle, and if no clue where is the last just hook them. And then start to pray that I find the hatch faster, so my 4k will not robbed from me by the random.

It would be better if my final score/emblems wouldn't depend of the 4k.

  • @JPLongstreet said:

I can see something like that working. If you don't hook the same surv twice in a row maybe that earns a stack. Definitely has possibilities!

Mhm… And what if you cannot see anybody else? What if the survivor bad enough to run into you? You should down them, and slug by not hooking them? You should start to search somebody else and let them heal and loose you pressure? You see the problem is that you cannot make a rule about tunnel and slug. I mean something, what can be implemented into the game. People not even able to get on the same ground about what is tunneling.

And to be honest since years I do not care about bloodpoints. So even if there would be something like that it wouldn't prevent me to tunnel or slug if I want to.

Maybe. Then you can call it as fraud. Since they selling to him something, which is not available to use after it. It is a scam, not matter how you try to hide it. Even if it is from an error now they know it, and they still not do anything.

So what you saying right there is that it is not OK to slug to death the survivors, but it is fine when they waste and annoy the killer's time if they not force them out?

Basic slugging many times is a strategic choose, and you can loose the game without it. Standing for 2 minutes and tbagging in the gate and wasting the killer's time is just purely toxic

The hit is confirmed unless the Killer is bad. There is no Survivor skill expression there, the only way they delay the hit is due to a Killer misplay.

    Strawman argument.

I can think of a LOT of maps that are Killer-sided. Here they are

    Killer-Sided (or leaning):

    • Aazarov's Resting Place
    • Coal Tower
    • Dead Dawg
    • Father Campbell's Chapel
    • Forgotten Ruins
    • Cowshed (somehow)
    • Haddonfield
    • Midwich
    • RPD East
    • RPD West
    • Rotten Fields
    • Sanctum of Wrath
    • Suffocation Pit
    • The Game
    • Borgo
    • Hawkins
    • Torment Creek
    • Rancid Abattoir
    • Lery's
    • Wrecker's Yard

    Neutral Maps:

    • Blood Lodge
    • Gas Heaven
    • Greenville Square
    • Grim Pantry
    • Pale Rose
    • Groaning Storehouse
    • Ironworks
    • Ormond
    • Shelter Woods
    • Thompson House
    • Wretched Shop

    Survivor-Sided:

    • Badham
    • Disturbed Ward
    • Eyrie
    • Family Residence
    • Garden of Joy
    • Mother's Dwelling
    • Nostromo
    • Temple
    • Toba

A 3v1 at 3 gens is a win for the Killer unless they make a colossal and repeated mistake. That's as easy of a win as it gets. A 3v1 at 2 gens is also a Killer win 9/10 times.

I try to refrain from bringing personal skill into it, but you already did so…

If you have trouble winning a 3v1 at 3 gens, it's probably on you. If you think maps like Haddonfield are Survivor-sided, again, that's on you.

If you cannot win 2 gens or even three in 3v1 with no hookstage on that 3, than it is skill issue. If I can win it many times as a killer main playing survivor, then it is winnable in most time.

Also, that map list is pretty weird. Especially The Game part when you play an M1 killer.

I mean, it would be nice if survivors actually got to play the game. The entire game heavily incentivizes not just escaping, which tunneling is pretty much guarantees won't happen for that player, but also survivor gameplay is supposed to be well rounded.

Do some gens, rescue and recovery, chase and being hooked are all a part of the gameplay loop. So when the killer decides you're just going to do exactly one of those things, and get at most 5k BP for the match, it feels kinda crappy.

It'd be nice if the devs even acknowledged this was an issue at all. I get that there's situational tunneling, but there's gotta be something to prevent excessive tunneling at the start as well. They couldn't even make DS 5 seconds again, which is a pretty big indicator that they don't care.

But this is, imo, the biggest reason for the current "quitter epidemic". Why stick around if being found first means you don't get to play the game? All of the anti tunnel in the game is at best a polite suggestion to the killer, and is easily ignored or powered through. Heck, most of it is endurance based and is incompatible with all the other endurance.

Meanwhile you have a point… What about the other side? I mean what about when survivors only go after repair and go out. 4 BNP, perks, and everything. They get out with 11-17k (since they get a huge bonus just getting out)

Yes, it can backfire since there would be nothing in their hand to save themself. But still, they got out, and probably the killer didn't enjoy a bit from that game.

And to be honest if it is in the game, it is allowed in the game, and it is a playstyle, why everybody reeee about tunneling. It is in the game, it is going after only one aspect of the game. It is boring, it is unfun for the other side. But meanwhile there is plenty perks, basekits and things (and even teammates) can help, on the other side not really. Yeah, there are regress perks. But since you are alone as a killer you cannot really prevent them, and you are extremly short on time.

So I really cannot see why people still can talk that much about tunneling and that it needs to go, meanwhile the same people never complain about the genrush.

And as others mentioned, something which is hardcoded and mechanicly is in the game could be weaponised against the killer. Survivors can run 4 2nd chance perk, and they can defend each other. Off the record already cam be horribly strong in that way (and survivros still can cry if the killer deicide to go after who wasted their time).

Also what is the definition of tunneling? It used to be when the killer throw the match just to kill one person. Nowdays people scream tunneling about everything, even if you dare to look in their direction. Hell I even saw people call commiting on a survivor tunneling when nobody has a single hookstage. So how can you define tunneling, and how should the game deicide it is tunnelling or not?

If this ever come to live server will be the point when I stop playing. It is already nonsense when you have to play against 4 bots after survivors left.

    some edge cases

Edge case: getting downed before 1st gen is done, totally edge case and so rare!

You are downed before 1st gen is done, hooked on PainRes (said gen instantly lost some of the progress), all survivors auras are revealed using BBQ, then killer goes immediately to gen that was repaired (because survivors are nearby) and said gen - that is also regressing - is blocked by Grim Embrace.

On Blight it's already game over, especially when you are SoloQ, because what? You are on hook, one survivor is chased, probably lost health state and soon will also be downed, one of the survivor MUST unhook (and heal) you and just one survivor can do gens.

Getting downed before the 1st gen is not a misstake, since there is no deadzone yet on the map. But even if we call it misstake it is far from changing the game with it.

What you described is an edgecase. Not every single game is a Blight with BBQ with PainRes and Grim.

Also what you described is the normal flow of the game. When somebody is hooked somebody have to go to save. I really not see how it is a huge deal, and how it makes the game unwinnable if you not just want an easy escape.

    Survivor main:

    • this game is more and more miserable to play as survivor

Killer main who don't play survivor at all:

    • No bestie, it's def not, those edge map pallets are """rebalance"""", you can easily loop Nurse or Blight there, also you can totally win 3v1 with 3 gens left, I don't know what you're talking about, how are this games miserable <333
      > Ther are not trash "loops" with guaranteed hits. At all. If you loop it well the hits are never guaranteed.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1B9XKWDS9HSU/image.png

Maybe you want to add something more? 🤣

I am not your bestie. And even if I wouldn't play survivor enough I would know as killer which loop is good or what is not a loop.

And you see? This is the problem. That on the picture is not a loop. It is a filler basicly, so it is not a deadzone there. Near to that pallet there are loops. Also, the hit is not guaranteed, since there is that pallet. If the survivor plays well, they can stun the killer, or just use to get some distance. But definitly able to waste a few more seconds of the killer, which are counts.

What you basicly say that every single tile should be there with a safe or godpallet, and you should be able to loop the killer anywhere. Yeah, that would be a grate game for sure…

I literally cannot think any map which are killer sided. Sure, there are maps which not as good as a survivor, but that is the point. You have to use your brain and resources (pallets and windows) to win chases (in the future too, not only that one).

And yes. You can easily win a game in 3v1 with 3, especially 2 gens left. You 3genned yourself? Yeah then maybe not. But it is not a small mistake. But a game winnable even in 2v1 with 1 gen left. Yes, it is not easy. Yes, it is harder agains some killers. But declaring that 3v1 with 2 gens left is unwinnable clearly shows that you have to get better, and it is not the map's fault or the "OPness" of the killers

It's not even about to nerfing killers. It's just general balance.

Maps are nerfed to ground and most of them have trash loops which guaranteed hits. There is only few maps left to having fun loops. And you will notice survivors are usually using map offerings for those maps.

Tunnelling one survivor out and making game 3 v 1 is pretty easy and free. Killer is not getting enough punishment, even if survivor have anti-tunnel perks.

Balancing game around SWFs while giving nothing to solo survivors. Not even reworking problematic perks like Knock Out.

Killer can make couple of mistakes and then they can still make it come back with some snowball and slowdown. But survivor games feels like it's not possible to comeback. Especially it's very hopeless when killer tunnel someone out and make game 3 v 1 at 2 - 3 gens left.

If you have enough DbD knowledge you know what games are winnable and what are not. So even i don't support what they are doing, i understand why they are going to next instead of wasting their time for losed match.

I do not want to be direspectful, but after your "maps are nerfed" sentence I have to think that you are not an experienced player, and you not played too much on killer side, especially not with lower tier killers.

Those are not nerf, those are rebalance, because they had to. They were extremly large, with OP loops (infinites sometimes). Ther are not trash "loops" with guaranteed hits. At all. If you loop it well the hits are never guaranteed.

If the killer tunneled out (or not tunneled) at 2-3 gens left ONE person, than it is still way over winnable. That is the point, when a killer maybe can grip the match and turn it somehow, but still not guaranteed.

If you think that at 2-3 gens in 3v1 is not winnable, then I am sorry to say but your DbD knowledge is what not good enough.

  • @CrypticGirl said:

We're talking about a game where the slightest Survivor error can doom the entire team (even without "going next"), and even finishing all of the gens doesn't necessarily mean they win.  Is it any wonder why people go next?

Thats absolutly not true. Yes, in some edge cases a misstake can ruin the game. But it is rare, and in cases like that it is already on thin ice.

Killers can loose a game much more easier in small mistakes. Survivors have to do huge, and not only one mistake to loose.

  • Even if it wouldn't be a bug you can be sure that it is not about race, much more some regional problems with a license

  • Nevermind, I found on the second page, sorry for the duplication

  • Why everybody try to tell others how they have to play the game?

    Also…

pain res + pop and one or two lockdown perks

Then maybe tell it to the devs. Everybody saw that will happens when they killed every slowdown perk, meanwhile gens aren't generally slower. People can bring 4 bnp and also put 1 into every single gen too. So tell me what do you expect from the killers?

And to be honest… People nowdays use that word for everything, and it is always the killer's fault. I see many time somebody unhook, and then left the other person alone. Who will I chase? The uninjured who I don't know where, or the injured who I see? Also many times people start to heal under the hook while I am not in a chase. Why wouldn't I go back if i know that there will be at least 2 person there? And even the game punishes you in your emblems if survivor manage to heal.

And about the challanges… What? They are called "challange". People should fight for it. Most of them already a joke ("drop down 1 pallet"). But honestly I not even often play survivor, and always was able to do all the survivor challanges. Maybe it takes more time, but why do you expect from the killer that they have to help you with your challanges?

  • @Shroompy said:

boring and unnecessary. You are wasting your own time as well as 2 other peoples time because you want an extra 2k bloodpoints

This is the other one what I do not understand. Why the killer wasting their time? Why not the 4th survivor who not come and give the hook to the killer? They try to get out even tho the other one have to bleed out. It is not sweaty? Then why it is from the killer to try to find the 4th and get the 4k?

  • So what you basicly say with many others in the thread - killers should always have to let out the last survivors. What should be the next? Free escape at 4 gens?

The hatch mechanic already stupid, but nobody can say a better one. It is still better then the old one with the standoffs. But getting out by pure luck is not really fun for the killer. And now you even want to make it much easier? Seriously what are you people want, a button to push anytime to win?

If these situation so bad, then bring unbreak or something. I am stunned that try to get 4k is sweaty, but fight for the last gen from survivors are not.

But in one thing I agree. After a certain point survivors should be ablespeed up their bleed out because it can be boring. But in the worst case it is 4 minutes.

lol. Someone clearly hunts by the marks. We're talking about making terrible perk worth -something-. How would you fix it?

What are you trying to say? Hunting by the marks are bad? Then why do you want to change that perk?

All of your argument (all 3) is nonsense. If it is so not important and not such a huge advantage then why the hell would you change the perk? And if it IS then why would need to be so strong?

The point is the perk that the killer cannot see you for a while, so I don't understand that "still can see you" nonsense. If it still sees you then what is the point at all in the perk? This is an absolutly strong perk if you plan your chase well and use it wise. You can completly vanish with it, or just gain a lot of distance.

  • How it was a health hazard? I mean you say this like 110% percent of players have epilepsy. And I think nowdays basicly every single game has a warning about it, and if it not good for you then stop playing.

With that mindset all the other bugs can be health hazard since anybody can a hearthattack from example from a Myers.

And the problem is not that they are focused on that bug first - sure, even if you have no epilepsy it can be annoying as hell. The problem is that altogether it took 2 weeks meanwhile they have more then 2 people for it. And for thet 2 weeks none of the problematic perks/items/maps get killswitched which is outworldly.

So while they sort out their bugs I go play sth else.

For sure. But to be honest then why I would give any money for a company where they cannot do the most simple thing and rollback until they fix those gamebraking and health issues. Or at least killswitch those things?

  • Or it should just teleport you to a random locker on the other side of the map anytime if you vault a window… Seriously why you should be able to hide your scratchmarks in every 20 seconds.

And bloodmarks… What if you not even injured, what blood are you talking about? :D

The same for killers who lobby shops

They see a swf= they dodge.

    They see p 100s.=they dodge=

they see ttvs specially p 100s=they dodge.

like survivors they get a map that do not work with their killer or ruins their idea=they dc before or during the match

survivors last min switch to another character from p 0 to 100=they dc before match even loads

Survivors switch the things like 4 flash or strong tool boxes light to avoid lightborn/franklins last second=dc before match start

They get looped or outplayed in a way by a good survivor solo que or swf=they dc

Last the fact at least killers have the luxury to lobby shop is not even fair cause survivors cannot do that, maybe if survivors know what killer they was going up against it probably be less dc.

The fact killers are able to see what survivors are bring lightborn/franklins is crazy , if perks was to a random gamble why does show survivors items so the killer can easily know oh ill go franklins/lightborn?

But ofc its always just survivors who do it right? Killers also try to justify why they dc as well which is all of the petty reasons above I listed.

And what about those who are not?

Also what the hell it is doing about the topic?

And if a killer leave the lobby, or DC it will not ruin the game for 4 people, because nothing happens, you just que up again without losing anything (beside half a minute). Not even close to a player DC or kill themself mid game.

  • Yeah, we need some other factors which can mess with the matchmaking…

everything is a broken mechanic these days lmao. just accept you couldn’t get the kill.

Or you could accept that the killer is downed someone? lol Nowdays everything which is uncounterable is called "tech" lol

Normally if you do something else you are grabbed. It would be a counterplay, where you need some skill so you can let it in time so both of you can get out. Now there is nothing.

  • It is already a horrible perk. I mean this is the only thing which can "counter" boon totems and you still have to drop chases and such to use it. But now at least that totem is completly out of the game, survivors cannot abuse maps there.

  • @bleep275 said:

base kit DS and increased unhook endurance should be a thing. I REFUSE to play survivor because every match is tunneling. Either I get tunneled and my fun is ruined or someone else gets tunneled so the only thing I can do is gen rush. All tunneling does is make the game unbearable to play and promote toxicity within the game.

Tunneling is a thing since gens are that fast, since that many genrush perks. And mostly since ruin was changed from his old form. Earlier I never saw tunneling that often. Because you knew that you have plenty of time to play.

Yes yes, exactly what I want, the flipping of entire game

Then maybe go play something else

  • First of all, ping is not an information. There is a reason why it is called latency. Also there can be dropped packages.

And for the love of god, think this "intentional to make the game as easy as possible for killers" again…. Your try to make your own connection issue some "dev shadowbuff the killers" or something lik this….

Also your clip is nothing to do with it. It is from 4 years ago.

Try support, so they can help to find what is your problem personally. Or try a VPN, maybe your ISP has some issues with the routing.

  • Maybe you should check the VOD when they explained hitboxes.

Sure it is not "perfect". But as they also mentioned it is not an FPS game.

Also. Bigger survivors should suffer more? And smaller one (who are already hide better behind a rock for example because they don't even need to crouch) should have advantage from their smaller hitbox? Most of these problems are from the lag.

Except Anna. Her hatchet is still a joke :D

I'm tired of people claiming we should nerf maps instead of this perk. The solution to constant 100% knowledge of all available resources is to make that knowledge not available as readily. The solution I've seen proposed is to just remove the map resources, which results in the garbage reworks we've been getting where you have to run a marathon to reach any decent tiles.

The perk needs to be nerfed, but also many maps still needs rework because many of them are horrible.
