Do you not see how it's a bad thing, that you cannot play without this perk?

Old WoO had a cooldown but it would help you learn maps. I don't think anyone wants it to be completely deleted but adding a cooldown (or reverting the buff) would be appropriate. You would still know where to go but the perk would go on a cooldown after a while, incentivising you to memorise 1 or 2 nearby loops to go to and then you'd get it back. This would also teach you maps and eventually you would be able to play without it.

That's not the case for WoO as it is now because you have absolutely no reason to learn maps. But it's part of the survivor skill expression to learn map layouts. You don't need to have every loop memorised but a general idea of where to go isn't too much, is it? And if you don't play the game enough to get on that level (no shame in that), then you should be put against killers that are equally unexperienced.

    I agree 1000% with this.

I am a killer main. I am used that perk as survivor too, mostly because of the pallet part too. I stopped use it because I relied on it too much.

I understand, that as a newbie you need it because there are many maps, and you still need to learn layouts. But with this perk you will not really learn them.

Also if you need pallet information then you can use Any Means, so you can see when somebody drops a pallet. And you even can stand it back if the killer not destroy it, so you know where the pallets are used.

In this form now that it is a free, constant information perk which on higher MMR make it too easy I think. The old CD thing would be a good change back. Maybe that you see pallets and windows at the start of a chase for some time, and after you get injured again for a limited time. So it would help you some, but not carry you for free constantly.

On the flip side the killer shown would have a 0K to a 1K if they were able to pick up. Is it a free escape or a pity kill?

Or they would come back to try to save that one, so it can be 2-3-4K instead of one "pity kill". Everything below 4 in endgame is a pity?

i’ll be honest, you have a perk equipped that directly counters any kind of body blocking… had you saved your STBFL stacks you would have managed to avoid this.

So what you say here is that there is a broken mechanic in the game, but it is fine because one perk should be able to counter it

  • so then I should never queue up ever?

It is on you. If you know that your provider is that bad, then you can try. But if you get DC then you ruined the game for others. Maybe they did a challenge, or a streak, or an adept which is now ruined. It is not cheer them up that it is your provider when you knew that it could happen…

The problem is that you try to blur many things there. You are obviously angry for BHVR. I am too. Yes there is spaghetti code. Yes there are many broken things. Yes, there are many things what they should make for us.

Yet. You have to think out of the box. A game with thousands of players cannot work without automation. I do not say it couldn't be better. But it is at least something, and at least some of those who deserve the penalty will get some.

And honestly - if you get 2 days, then it is not something what happens rarely. You should then get another ISP or some other games.

  • It depends… If they are cute and or funny I let them leave. I know it is not good for them, since their MMR will go up. But since it is usually only 1 person I can take them to the hatch.

If I see that they just watched some youtube short and now they try to bully me - well then I stomp then and hopefully they learn some respect (for the killer, not for those who made the video, since most of those are stomping too).

If rarely I encounter it as a killer (i rarely play survivor) and they was nice, and worked their ass and I see that they not just some hissy angry kid after others get out I stay so they can get points on me

  • Would be grate. Like in EvE at the end of all month they just publish some bulk data so anybody can do anything with it what they would like

Even I would like to see it in some podcast how they talk about those data - at least we would knew why things get changed, and we would know that they read their own data right.

(For example Pig has a decent killrate so they nerf her again and again and again, meanwhile the pickrate is horribly low. It is clearly because only a few people play her, but they are really good)

yes this happens in a lot of games, but those games normally have better systems in place to address the issues. DBD just smacks anyone and everyone with a dc penalty and calls it a day and you can’t appeal it cause they can’t be bothered since it’s automated. They can’t even be bothered to sort this issue out even when it is purely on their own end. During the blood moon event the servers problems and memory lag legitimately made it impossible for some people to play the game not because it was unplayable per se but because of the penalties you’d get. I’m not sitting here complaining because I raged and got a penalty, I’m comparing cause I got a several day penalty for something out of my control and have no means to rectify this other than to just accept it.

Sure. But honeslty I think it is rare. I really rarely see random DC people in my games, they usually obviously do it because of rage. Especially when they even stay to shittalk at the endgame.

And sure, it is bad. But imagine that they have too few people to handle that playerbase (and even more couldn't get it work) to investigate every single DC penalty that it maybe a technical issue. It is the smaller loss for the mass. But of course I would be angry too if I got penalized for a week or something over something, which is not my fault.

  • @ZE8ERDEE said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3696778#Comment_3696778

But if it only punished people who purely ragequit for petty reasons then fair enough but it doesn’t. The systems automated dbd staff don’t care to look into or address anyone’s specific dc penalty cases even if it was something out of your control or just some one time rage thing then you’ll still get punished. If anything I’d be more frustrated that I physically can’t play for several days because as I said my internet has been playing up which at times is out of our control. The match would end if it’s the killer dcing so you can easily and quickly search again and survivors now get bots which aren’t perfect sure but it’s a much better improvement than what we had.

People play games for their own enjoyment at the end of the day. I get the player base is weirdly toxic and petty at times but quite literally why would you deliberately subject yourself to something unfun like that? Cause you guys are often picky when it comes to this issue as it’s seemingly ok to dc against a skull merchant for instance but it wouldn’t be for one of the reasons you stated yourself. You’d be making assumptions on what others seem fun, honestly I’ve seen the community as having copious amount of sore winners who relish and enjoy people dcing, quite literally bully squads goals are to normally get some sort of reaction from the killer which could be argued isn’t healthy necessarily either. Not to mention a lot of the changes, bugs and legitimate server issues dbd has every patch make it really hard to enjoy the game at times and honestly gives me more sympathy seeing someone dc from something legitimately unfair.

If anything I’d be more frustrated that I physically can’t play for several days because as I said my internet has been playing up which at times is out of our control

Then you shouldn't que up. With all respect if you have technical issues then you shouldn't que to ruin the fun for others. Sure, the problem is out of your control. But even the devs said, if you have that serious technical problems that you get minutes or even more penalty because of it then you should stop playing before you fix it. (Or your ISP fix it)

Cause you guys are often picky when it comes to this issue as it’s seemingly ok to dc against a skull merchant for instance but it wouldn’t be for one of the reasons you stated yourself.

"You guys"? You are one of us. Also I didn't mentioned that it is ok to DC against any killer. Also I am a killer main so I rarely have to face with a skullmerchant :) But in 7 years I dc-ed maybe 3 times (because of rage) and a few times because of technical issues.

The problem is that BHVR have to make a line. Maybe it is not perfect, but at least something. It was horrible and disgusting when everyone instantly DC against a certain killer, or for a situation, or just to give hatch for the last one unfairly in an SWF.

And of course, people still can kill themself on hook. That is the bigger issue I think, because they ruin the game for others, and not even get punished (because loosing a pip until now, and some offerings/addons is basicly nothing)

  • @confusion said:

ds isn’t punishing unless you pick up a survivor within 60 seconds of them being unhooked (which is tunneling, unless they were bodyblocking/using ds offensively, in which case you can just slug them), but i do agree that it isn’t punishing enough for high mobility killers like nurse. The easiest solution in my opinion would be to simply set nurse/blights tokens to 0 when stunned with ds, and prevent them from replenishing for a few seconds.

Ehm what? That is the core problem here. Just because the killer pick up a survivor withon 60 seconds it doesn't mean it is tunneling. At all. Tunneling is where you ignore everything else even if it would benefit you more, and you focus on one survivor only.

If a survivor is downed again within 60 seconds and picked up again it many times means that that survivor was just stupid, and run into the killer again. Or that he tried to bodyblock the killer and force a hit as you said. But why should I have to slug him then only? So he/she can be picked up and like nothing happened, meanwhile I wasted my time?

However I agree. It also should turn of the killer's power for a while. But 10 seconds is just horribly too much. Especially for the weaker killers.

  • @YuffieGreatestWaifu said:

    Bull BHVR buffed killers before

    How exactly?

  • The best way to stop this would be to actually incentivise people to stay in matches or fix the copious issues the game faces.

People in this game rage and cry for literally everything. You cannot fix all of them, because they most offen opposite of each other.

  • or the occasional rage

And that is the point where you should have a little brake. The penalty force you to take a brake. It is not good for you if you keep playing, and it is not good for the others who got left alone in the match.

if people want to leave they will and if people are leaving cause somethings unfair or unfun that’s on behaviour to fix if anything

People not only dc when it is unfair or it is unfun. Many people just DC because the enemy is better. They dc because they cannot bully them with flashlight. They DC because they cannot see anybody with lethal and such.

Since this is a 4v1 game if anybody throw the game on the survivor side, it is not fun for the others. Not even for the killer. If the killer drops it then the whole game is over (at least in this case it is fast).

And those, who do this should take a brake because it is not healthy for them to play on. Or they should be penalized for ruining the game for others over some hissy.

Honestly I would even punish those, who kill themself on the hook at 5 gens. And many times just because they was bad, they went down really fast, so they just leave. And many times even in these matches people can get to 2-1 gens. So if that one do not give up, they could actually win.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

Then don't dare complain when survivors just go next and don't want to participate in the match.

Edit: and you are facing essentially the same thing as killer as survivors are just skins either way. Killers are very distinct and have unique powers so trying a direct comparison of both sides is flawed.

Its the same as getting the same map back to back for either side, it is tedious and easily avoidable and doesn't necessarily mean dramatically higher queue times.

I never complained. It is not my problem if they ruin the match for 3 other people.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3696699#Comment_3696699

No, prevent the same killer back to back. I was very clear.

No point answering the additional million pointless questions you added to strawman me.

Pointless question? They are in the same mentality like yours. Sure, it is easy to dodge my question with that. But you do it only because you know that if you do, it would make your own suggestion pointless. Also it shows that you think only your fun is important, nobody else's.

But then without "additional million pointless question". Your idea is horrible, and I hope it will be never in the game. I do not want to get penalized because somebody do not want to play against something. And if it would be every in the game, then I would expect the same like i said for perks. Because it is unfun for me to play against the same perks back to back. And then good luck for the 2-3 hours que.

Toxicity is everywhere, teabagging at exit gates, nodding and forward-backward movement on knocked survivors, hitting on hook,

This is not toxicity. This can only offend you if you choose it to. They're simply emotes, actions that the games allows everyone to do for expression or communication, and they don't always mean something offensive.

There used to be a thing called rivalry banter, where people could express their enjoyment at beating their opponent in good humour, and in turn take their oponents celebrations in stride.

But nowadays everyone assumes if someone is addressing them via the internet it must be a dire insult in some way.

slowing down crouching animations … not being able to crouch at all at exit gates

Not possible or ever going to happen. Crouching is a necessary gameplay mechanic for dodging projectile attacks and hiding behind cover. You slow this down and you drastically nerf survivors.

It is hard to think anything else about it that it is toxic for the gate for example. Especially when near it you constantly hear and read how survivors cry about slugging is wasting their time. Also you see most offen it when you got bullied, or stomped. How it is not toxic? It will ruin the game much more for the other party, and they will sooner or later will lash out on another team, so the circle go on.

You can say, that it is get you only if you let it. But it is still toxic altogether

  • @weareweebs said:

Double standards the developers have here, if the last survivor cannot get a chance to unhook themselves even with deliverance which is very unfair only because their reasoning isn't to waste killer's time then killer shouldn't be able to slug the last survivor, when the survivor has no way of getting up by themselves. Slugging takes 4 minutes, and getting to stage hook 2 takes 60 seconds, faster with scourge hook. Why are killers allowed to waste our time? Please be consistent with how you are treating one team because there is a clear bias towards killers.

Sure, they should get a free escape.

I am fine with the chance for the last survivor, even with deliverence but only if they get BT only if the hatch is closed. It would be a nonsense that if you hide the whole game and you was never on hook only the others you could still get out just because of luck.

And as others mentioned - no only killers can, and not only they do waste the survivors time. It is the same on the other side. And seriously you talk like it would be an eternity. It is FOUR damned minutes at max. I think you peoplpe are just too new and the games are too fast since you play. When gen slowdown was a viable strategy, and even without it matches was longer.

Also many times the killer would like to hook a survivor, but they just crawl to the corner. Now they should get a free, guaranteed second chance? Or the killer should be forced to hook the 3rd survivor (in a 2v2 scenario) so the 4th will get a huge chance to get out? Why?

  • @yaketsukuzu22 said:

was just looking through most of the survivor perks and most of them are borderline useless. More handholding for killer players. Everything that was sorta fun on survivor side has been made unplayable. Great balancing devs. Killers are still allowed to abuse oppressive game mechanics btw.

Can you say something concrete? Because in that form it is just simply not true.

What is more handholding for killers? The anti facecamp mechanic? The free BT after unhooking even yourself? The 90 seconds endurance? The free healthstate and sprintburst while others doing gens? Seriously man, what is so useless and unfun as perks for the survivors meanwhile killers have a huge pool

  • Zombies so rarely do anything usefull in the matches, that it is sad.

You even can destroy them if they are too annoying.

  • @StikMC said:

Why do you affirm it is better to surrender than give survivors some way to play the game? This idea has merit, but I would make one shift. This ability would ONLY activate when there are only two survivors remaining. That solves the main problem ( slugging for the 4K). I’ve already made a post asserting how broken EndGame is and how that needs to change. But slugging a guy out is just misery for anyone. Why should I give up? Instead, for the killer to either hook me and move on or risk me getting back up and in the game. So if the killer slugs for one minute AFTER the Survivor has maxed out recovery, they can get up. I play killer. When I kill the third survivor, the fourth only escapes a literal (I keep my stats) 25% of the time.

You have those tools. Called them perks. Why do you think you should be protected from everything for free?

Slugging for 4k is boring, sure. I almost never do it. But it is because of the stupid hatch mechanic (which is a had to, but still stupid if you loose because of pure luck).

Also… Seriously. If you could get up for free. Why would anybody leave a generator to pick you up? It would be even worse.

And it is grate, that you play killer sometimes. Trust me, it is not the same if you play a lot and get matched against survivors with higherMMR.

I can understand that it is not fun to just lay on the ground. I do not like it either when I get it. But for christ sake it is maximum 4 minutes. Sometimes 5 gens are finished faster then that.

    in draft Comment by kaoraku
  • It got nerfed because it was a horribly broken perk. Infinite selfheal for the whole team for 1 perkslot.

Even limit it for twice… It is 2 free slefheal. And then you still can use a medkit after those. It would be bad. Healing already too fast with that nerf for sloppy

  • So… I am asking this from you. On this path. What will be the next? You can exclude skins from the que? Or perks? I do not want to play every game against adrenalin/hope, buckleup/forthepeople players. Just like many other killers.

So survivors should wait longer for a killer who would like to play against it? Or it should be banned in the lobby? You see how bad it is?

Or every survivor could ban a strong killer. So even if I bought it I cannot play it at all.

Meanwhile I understand that playing against the same killer can be boring and frustrating trust me, playing against the same perk combinations not better at all. And this path would only ruin the game altogether.

  • My answer is to a post if you actually read it is about the move forward and backward on the slugged survivor. So i tried to show how entitled and one sided it is. Somehow everybody always want to punish the killer for doing something. So if that should be bannable, the other one should be too. And not the bleed out, that post was about something else.

I think if survivors should bleed themself out it would be unfair. I mean many times you have to manage even the slugging, so they wouldn't get a lucky hatchescape. I understand that it can be unfunny for 4 minutes, but bullysquads and others are unfunny too, and a killer cannot even bleed himself out just disconnect or wait in a corner while they get bored.

Knockout is absolute trash and shouldn't exist. It doesnt even do anything against SWFs, so it just screws over solo survivors who are already fighting an uphill battle.

Slugging in general, though. As long as there are ways that survivors can take advantage of a survivor being picked up, from blinds to pallet slams to sabotaging hooks, the killer should never be punished for avoiding those situations by being forced to pick up the survivor.

I know the base kit unbreakable was scrapped, but I do see some merit in it, but not sure how to implement it without it being too strong.

It is. Why it is matters why the killer slugged? The point is that you are on the ground for 4 minutes max. If it is because there is no hook, or he do not want to risk a hatch espace, or because he is angry, or because he hates your name… The outcome is the same. And the same things can counter it.

I would say a good start would be to look for instances where the killer frequently changes between walking forward and backward while in close proximity of a downed survivor while also on close proximity of a hook

So every tbagging survivors should be penalized too?

  • So what you basicly wants is a free aurareading the whole game for no drawback or gamble at all.

  • This is a horrible idea. First of all it would be a horrible thing as a killer that you constantly seen. Also, it would counter a dozens of perks and addons which inflicts blindness. And for almost nothing drawback.

  • @Neaxolotl said:

I'd even say make this basekit, ultimately that just reduces gap between best and worst players so making game more consistent

Yeah. Survivors should get another 4-5 things as basekit. Maybe they should even get some new perkslots hm? Survivors already got perk effect as mechanic. They don't need any more. You want advantage, sacrifice a perkslot for it.

  • Actually i more liked the old one as killer main.

Now it is kinda huge, especially if you try to defend gens. If they not stupid, and finish the middle gen, then you almost garanteed to loose.

The loops not extremly bad, however for a slower killer it is pain in the ** Also for those who not too mobile. Even for Blight it can be horrible since many obstacle just not work normally, and you just slide from it.

Stealth killers have almost no chance to use their power as it is intended.

It is not the worst map, but i would say it prefers survivors (of course assuming they are not braindead, and they know what are they doing even if not SWF)

  • But we are talking about QOL changes, not balance changes... And about that it should be faster then "years".

  • On one side they are just skin. But on the other they are different. I mean there are survivors, who generally less loud (compare an Ace with a Bill for example). Or smaller (compare a Jeff with a Feng)

  • Adding more time to gens (even if I agree, gens can be really fast) would be horrible idea in my opinion. Against mobile killers it would be imposibble to win especially with slowdown perks.

Maybe there should be a general slowdown based on how many gens left, and how many people still alive.

  • It is just as a lucky thin, when you find the hatch faster, or it spanws to your face.

Also I think you are warned before a guard appears. Next time just hide in a locker.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Describe exact scenarios and I will tell you how you are wrong. I've slugged for hundreds of games and confirmed that without any perks to recover from downed, the killer can guarantee a skip to 3rd stage.

You should also ask yourself if the odds of escaping are so low, is it even worth it for the survivor? Say the survivor has a 1% chance to escape, this means that in 100 games, they will get slugged 99 times and only escape once. Is it worth getting slugged 99 times just for that 1 escape?

It is funny that you assume that anything I would say you would proove me wrong...

If it is 1%, it is still a chance then. But just because you insist to slug for the 4k, and you bored about it, it shouldn't taken away.

Survivors still can force themself to stage 2 if they want and then give up. How long it is, maybe 10 seconds?

But maybe some option to bleed out faster would be fair, since they can die faster if they want to.

And some bought them during a Steam sale. Not everyone pays full price for every game ever. Some people got the base game for free while others paid.

Those that paid didn't have to wait for a sale. Didn't need to wait years to enjoy something. Nobody should buy a game on day 1 and think, "Everyone better pay full price or I'll be pissed."

Yeah. But also a company should handle with more respect those, who are with them with way much longer time. At least i feel many time that just because I am here already since a long time, paid already a bunch of money it is not really important how I feel or something. It is just like when in WoW those, who do not subscribed get free months time to time, meanwhile those who constantly paid in every month get nothing. Even tho they were the ones, who let the company running

But to be honest we do not talk about day 1 players. At least I assume the problem is not that somebody is able to get cheaper a content. But the fact, that after that you need to waste money if you want only 1 or 2 DLC

Buying a character for 4500 shards is a lot easier than 9000 shards. I don't understand what your problem is with the grind being reduced.

Then I try to write it slover.

The problem is: you can deicide, that you buy a bundle when need only one DLC from it and wate your money, or you forced to farm for the character In many DLC you have 2, or 3 characters, which you have to buy one by one. Even tho it is cheaper in shards, you are still forced to use it for those instead of anything else, or you will waste your real money.

Where did i say "dont play like that", i only say that i would not do it and those are good reasons not to tunnel. Or would you disagree? The question was good reasons not to tunnel, i gave 2 reasons.

Not ruining the others person game/time plus actually getting good in the game is for me far more worth then playing selfish. Think what you want about that, but bottom line is, it tells a lot about personality.

And yes, before someone asks, i condemn selfish behavior. You dont care? Good, proves my point 😉

    Where did you said? Oo

so why should you stop trying to reach that level? What means winning when abuse super easy tactics? "But they other side genrushs and blablabla..." does not justify that you wont try to get better and become a good killer at all. Excuses wont help either. Do or not do, there is no try. So just simply, get good.

You literally say that people should want to get better (even tho they enjoy where they are now, and/or they just casual players), get good, and they shouldn't search for excuses, and they should try to get be a better or good killer.

Meanwhile you even called aholes those, who play how they want

I found the rest of your argument to be fairly non-engaging. Stuff I had seen before and things I didn't care to comment on.

Asking players to not tunnel isn't the same as asking Survivors to not be hooked. It's more along the lines of asking Survivors to not run 4 OP perks, which I do see a lot of.

No mate, you just choose some part of what i said, took out of context, and asked about it. What I said was that just like it was actually said that if the killer should be "get good" so don't need to tunnel then with that mentality the survivors should "get good" too, so they wouldn't get tunneled out.

I have to think that it is just some attempt to generate some unnecessary drama.

and your point of view is like this: the game has 4 survivors, I can't kill any of them and I'm only satisfied if I kill them all, otherwise I lost the game, while for a solo survivor, if he dies the game it ends, and survivors don't always play in teams, and you don't need to kill all 4, if you kill 2 and only have one generator left to complete, the game is already yours, not to mention that if the generators are completed the anti-camp does not work, the game gives the killer more chances than the surv, unless it is a super strong swf the killer will always have a better chance of winning, and you really want to win by trying less, and this has a logical reason:

You imagine that you are playing Pig or clown and are facing the best survs with more than 8k hours, while I watch a lot of soloQ against a spirt or a super strong Alien, you can understand the difference? This is normal, you are against changes for fear of harming the weakest part of the game, even if my intention is against the strongest part of the game, there will always be this opposition, if you know what I mean

I don't really understand what are you saying. But I'll try to answer what i think you said.

Me (and basicly every killer's) goal is to kill all the 4 survivors. Most likely before the gates are opened, even before 5 gens are done. This is their only objective, just like for survivors to get out the trial.

Meanwhile BHVR said 2 kills is a win, it is not. Maybe on low grade, but even in silver 3 kills still can be only a safepip. And even if I have 2 kills at 1 gens the game is absolutly not win. Maybe in that "2 kills a win" mentality, but the game will still punish you. Also at that point survivors still easily can win depending on how fast you find them, and how long they can loop with you. But what I don't understand what is your point with this? You say that killers should let survivors farm after they killed 2 of them? Or give a free escape? And how it is relevant in that topic?

And you still call it anticamp, meanwhile many of us said, that this is not. It is antiFACEcamp. And of cours it not works in endgame. Why should it? At that point you probably had your chance to play the game. And BHVR said, endgame is the killer's time. Thats why DS not work at that point either.

Also I do not understand that part about "for the solo player it is over". Yeah. They can go to the next game. So?

Just imagine if it would work. The killer propably will camp you since there is nothing to do. He do not know where are the others, maybe they even healthy. They are opening the gate already. And if he left you, they easily save you and he loose even that 1 kill. But he has to left (or stay away) otherwise you even would be able to unhook yourself. It would be nonsense.

I am not against changes, yet not "fear of harming the weakest part of the game". It is you, who still try to remove a mechanic from the game meanwhile give nothing for it. Even after BHVR said many times, that camping is part of the game.

Neither does the killer need tools for free down/kills. This forum loves being a stickler for words huh?! Please stop with the “but it stops FACEcamping”. It really is the most mindnumbing argument I have seen in a long time. How does it matter if the killer is camping in your face or from a few meters away? Well, it doesn’t. With hooks grabs being gone the result is exactly the same: a hook trade at best (for the survivor) or a slugging party/camped to death at worst. The mechanic was designed to stop getting survivors camped all game and give them time to “play” the game. So yeah, it still isn’t doing what it intended.

What is mindnumbling that you still expect an antiCAMP mechanic from the antiFACECAMP mechanic.

Even if you would right (but no, even if the killer camps it is not always a trade in best scenario - it is far from that) then so what? Meanwhile 1 person is trading before a stage is lost on the hook (which is a minute?) the other 2 is repairing. Also there are perks, which can make this even longer. And beside this you also want a free unhook without any effort from the survivor side? It is not the killer's fault that your teammates not save you.

And before you even try use that "what effort from the killer" thing. If a killer camps that hard, they give up the ability to defend gens at all. Even over a full death on hook would give time the others for at least 2 gens, even if the survivor got downed extremly fast.

BHVR never said that this will prevent the killer to be able to camp or proxy-camp a hook. It is part of the game, and it will be.

I would not call Nurse slow. Huntress is slow. Hag is slow. Those 2 cannot teleport to survivors whenever they want to. Also, have you heard about the perfomance of good Nurses? About the 1000+ win streaks? Nurse is broken. Having 2 blinks renders most survivors' jukes useless. The green lunge addon even worsens everything for survivors. A killer whose time cannot be wasted by dropping pallets or vaulting windows should not have so much help with correcting her blinks.

Against any other killer, you could keep predropping pallets, and while that's wasting resources too fast, it still takes time for the killer to down you, and gens can get done in the meantime. Against Nurse, you have nothing. Pallets and vaults mean nothing, since she just ignores them. Juking her by changing direction during her blink also means almost nothing, since her lunge covers for everything...

I think the reason BHVR has kept her broken like this is because of the comp scene, since only her and Blight seem viable against really good teams. She needs to change though, or have an ultra precise MMR to go only against the most capable teams (if she keeps 4k-ing every match)

She IS slow. She walks with 3.85

I talked about her basespeed, and that people want that with this speed she should able to blink one, and Myers tier1 lung. It would be a joke.

Did you see good survivors btw? Who still manage to win sometimes against really good nurses? You want to punish less good player, because on higher levels it is pretty strong? What kind of balancing is this? With that mentality we should remove all the exhaustion and 2nd chance perks from survivors, because the really good ones will loop you forever.

Otz just made a video about a horrible nurse build, where almost none of the survivors perk would help them, and they actually was able to manage to get to 4 gens maybe? And they almost come back even tho she camped and tunneled the first person? So I wouldn't say it is so horrible broken. Strong, for sure. But if you would take away one blink with that movementspeed, and also make her lung as small as t1 Myers she would be completly useless.

  • It would be a little "balancing with axe" situation.

I would give them the same amount of penalty as DCing. For starting. Also you should prevent unhooking themself for example the first x minutes, or if not another survivor on hook within x minutes or something. Completly remove the self unhook without perks would destroy many offerings, perks and such. Even tho I hate when a survivor get lucky and get out cause of it.

I highly disagree. I would love to know what someone is running so I can play around with it. Oh the Kate has head on with quick and quiet? Next time I'm in a chase and see her near a locker I'll assume she is in it waiting to help me out and I'll make sure to run past it. Oh that person is just doing a meme build, okay I'll know I can't rely on them. Oh three people are doing boil over, flip flop, unbreakable and a couple of them have Boon: Exponential? Oh and they brought the map for Ormond? Okay so they are going to keep the killer busy with their build. I'll make sure to work on gens as they do their thing.

But we won't know unless they try it like they did with hiding prestige.

You have a whole minute to discuss it.

I understand why it could be good but...

Maybe I just saw too many times people mocking others and swearing over other people choice of perks. But i still think it would generate more drama and toxicity then how good it would be

Hopefully we get at least 12m.

    What does deathslingers addon do?

I would want a perk that builds up like this, I thought old furtive chase did that and played it as I did not know that it only activates while chasing.

I do not want to be rude but... If you don't know what it do why you try to rebalance things? I mean you have to thing the whole game with changing things. If you don't know a part of it, then you shouldn't mess with things.

Imagine a tombstone Myers with so small terrorradius for example. Or any instadown killers. Any indoors map would be a nightmare for survivors.

Whatever helps her correct her mistakes is a huge problem. She's already too strong and ignores basic game/loop mechanics.

So basicly you say that a slow killer should be brutally punished for even the smallest misstake? Because if they miss, and out of blinks they loose a horrible distance before she even have the chance to try it again?

Maybe it's really difficult to make everything work perfectly in the game, the problem is when you know that the killer is purposely wanting to break the system that was created to encourage them to play the game and not just stand in front of the hook,

And you want to encourage them with punishing others? Try to look it from a wider perspective. Like imagine the scenario what I wrote earlier. And no, I don't think that killers try to proove that the system is broken. They just have a power to proxy-camp. If BHVR would like to prevent the killers to be able to go close to the hook they would already did it. But they said many-many-many times, they don't. This mechanics there only for the victim, who otherwise would have nothing to do in the whole game. If a killer outside of that radius, then a teammate can go for the save. Why should survivors unhook themself freely? The whole point is that at least 1 person, or ideally more have to leave gens and come for the save.

The more important part is that their prices in cells+shards are being slashed, which makes them much more accessible to new players just playing the game normally.

So what you saying is that you either buy chapters which you already have, or you have to farm to buy from shards? How it is good for them?

Also with cells? Yeah, maybe it is cheaper. But can you buy the exact amount of cells? No you cant. You will have to buy more, so your money is wasted. And what you have left back from it is not enough for anything, so you have to buy more cells to be able to spend it. Just like in mobilegames...

this is actually good news for new players. People have no reason to hate but my guess is they don't want new players to dbd?

You really trying to gaslight people? Why is your best guess is "they don't want new players" because they have a different opinion?

You don't genuinely think that Survivors shouldn't be hooked, do you?

You don't genuinely think they shouldn't, do you?

I am glad you grabbed half a sentence and now try to argue with that part... My point was if you say that "instead of tunneling and try to win just get good" is just the same as "get good and you will not get caught"
