I agree! It is really fun.
So I will keep playing, and you can go play in the sweatlord regular mode with everyone else. Deal? :)
To each their own I guess 🤷♂️

It's so fun to get stalked to 99 and then get exposed when I have little time to react.
Wish I could hear the footsteps of Nemesis or Knight to unsettle me. Or have a Pig roar at me out of the blue or a Victor pouncing at me.
I did have a Myers who refused to go above T1. Now that was a fun match. I gave the person a thumbs up in the end.
But other than that I did the challenges to collect the stuff and good with the modifier.
-
You know it's bad when you scroll through the DBD category and not even Fog Whisperers are playing the mode. And this was not even 24 hours into its release.
-
If people think WoO users is just "run to yellow" maybe all the killer aura perks should be nerfed too because it's all the same for either side. See aura, run to aura.
-
Zanshin sounds like a great way to get free aura reading on Gideon. Just leave the pallets down near gens really and you know where to go. If Zanshin becomes more meta then so can Any Means Necessary.

The intended behaviour for Distortion is that it would recharge when a chase starts, not continually refresh while you're being chased. So in this case, unless you reveal their aura in some other way during the chase, it would counter Predator. Though Predator would leave them defenseless against any other aura reading effects afterward.
The whole idea of engaging in chase doesn't sound good. For example, currently Scratched Mirror Myers completely counters Distortion. But given the hit and run nature of the addons it's constantly making it harder to ambush survivors since they'll lose a token and be more on their toes to run.
-
I forgot to add that part of the reasoning to Distortion was prolonged hiding from the user. Comes off as punishing a playstyle rather than balance sake.
-
Not crazy about mori offerings being another way for killers to gain BP on top of what they already get base. Most simply use pudding anyway.
Distortion getting gutted on top of two additional aura reading perks.
The dev notes assume Zanshin would lead to more winnable mindgames but let's be honest...the majority of pallets have clear LoS and favor killers anyway. If anything it makes jungle gyms and shack more manageable.
I don't understand the need for Blood Rush to get Conspicuous Action or end game restrictions.
-
Let's remove Black Wards. They are used by the sweatiest killers using the best addons.
Both sides can be sweaty and play things to their advantage when it's accessible to do so.
-
I doubt he'll get much of an update. If I recall correctly, his stats were on par with the target rate. I'm going to guess they don't want to rock the boat too much or survivors will complain

I like how we always get half of the story in matters like this. Sure, a survivor ratted you out.
What did YOU do?
At least before we give you sympathy you need to assure us that you aren't just butthurt. If you were hiding all match, if you sandbagged your teammate, if he was on gens when it was a 2v1 and you were just trying to secure hatch instead of working on a common goal,
Then yeah, you kinda deserve it.
If not, that guy's an ass.
It's kinda hard to know what other people are thinking. It's not like it's Overwatch where people can express their frustrations in team chat. And even if I was wrong it doesn't excuse the fact that other people have to resort to teaming with the killer. Two wrongs don't make a right.
-
It's been said that stats don't change much so no matter the date range Vecna's killrate is likely going to be the same.
-
I think the Neitherworld would be a good map. Utilizing the portals introduced in Forgotten Ruins they could portal you to random places of the Neitherworld like the waiting room or the desert area with the sandworm to even Adam/Barbara/Deetz' home.
-
It's not really either role sided but underlining issues on both sides. It seems like the easiest way to fix things is by nerfing perks but it doesn't help people get good at the game. People have no idea how good or bad they are because those stats are kept hidden. The focus is more doing whatever helps you have fun than developing skills.
-
If doors are too far to patrol I let them have it. No big deal if they escape. It doesn't even sound fair to close hatch and be able to get a head start on patrolling. Some things are not worth it for an extra sacrifice.
-
You could argue survivors rush gens because of how strong tunneling and camping are. A killer could at any point tunnel anyone out and if survivors are behind on gens they just lose. Doing gens keeps them ahead. There isn't a catchup mechanic for survivors to turn the match around the same way killers can.
-
The one place I didn't look lol. Thank you!
-
When/Where was it confirmed? I looked everywhere.

I am not familiar with the console versions, but can you contact the killer mid match? I thought you could only see their ID post-game.
That aside, working with the killer is annoying. I've had survivors assume I'd aid them by ratting out their teammates too, and they end up on hook first to allow the other one time to run.Sorry…not mid-match. The person who ratted me out had already been sacrificed. I saw they were still spectating on the menus. I put two and two together since the killer was very obvious about it and the person was still spectating even though they were long sacrificed.
-
This idea gets suggested so much it's never going to work. The opposite would happen where killers would just play Gideon or Badham and never have to see those maps as long as they have the offerings for it.

Are the costumes just a deluxe vs normal edition thing? Are there any costumes that can be missed if you didn’t preorder? I don’t think so but I’m not entirely sure.
The preorder bonus was something called "Plunderer's Instinct." Iirc, the Trapper mask and the badge/banner were included in the deluxe edition along with the costumes.
-
You're not restricted. You can still play the game. It's like you said it's harder for you to win every game. If you're idea of fun is winning at 4K every game yes it will be harder. But if you want to play unrestricted you're going to lose a few games.
-
I've been noticing an uptick of people using OoO in my killer matches and it makes me wonder if people are already letting go of Distortion.
-
With how spread out tiles are becoming and how unsafe pallets are also becoming it's almost better to Shift W as much as possible.
-
So far the modes have been a flop for me. I'm hoping to see some of the modes they asked about in the feedback survey a while ago. Now those seem more appealing than what we had.
-
How many times are you all being sent to Badman, Eyrie or all those other "survivor sided maps?" Sometimes I think map offerings are as exaggerated as genrush and tunneling.

Sometimes it feels like I get an alternate universe version of Rotten Fields because I see people saying that it's empty but that's just not how it is. I get a bunch of safe tiles on that map a lot.
It's been a while since I've seen Rotten Fields but I feel like it has two layouts. The one you mention but then there is one where it feels like it has a jungle gym, T-L wall and cow tree to work with and that is all.

I'd really like to know what the logic is behind keeping map offerings. I can't imagine what it is at all. Even for casual players wouldn't you want them to experience a variety of maps?
Casual players wouldn't care either way…that's why they are casual. It's the competitive minded ones who have a problem with it.
-
Are you anything less than a 4 man with the non-premade ruining it all?
-
I played a RPD offering and it ended up being Singularity. Let's just say that match went up in smoke for us.
I also had a teammate that played an offering for Haddonfield and it ended up being Doctor. That match also went up in smoke.
Sometimes the matches aren't always sweaty and can up backfiring.
-
I was never a fan of Plaything/Pentimento on any killer. I think the combo ruins my idea of engaging gameplay.
But at least it's not a Thana Legion. Penti Legion is more manageable because no totems means no slowdown.
-
No one wants to use an offering besides pudding. I think Peanits even said that mori's are being basekit because the moris don't get used enough. No one cares about offerings other than pudding. They can't even use cakes because they just want the BPs for themselves. (jaded sounding I know)
-
Doubt that would be useful. Hysteria and Blood Echo both have similar effects and those don't even get used. Plus things like Kindred and comms would lessen the benefit.

-
I had someone whose name was something like PlzNoMoreDredge. Said they had 7/12 Dredges. For people who choose not to buy the DLC it seems people would rather try out the killer changes instead.
-
I forgot to add I was playing as Dredge if that matters.
-
Nah. This suggestion isn't much different than the survivors who off themselves on first hook. It's just being poor sports.
-
Courtesy reminder.
-
I mean how much value can you really get from Blood Warden if you manage to trap all 4 at the gates but can only hook 1-2 depending on RNG.

I have been playing for 4 years and never knew this.
I thought map offerings or any offerings were returned to the player if they conflict with another offering.
I thought two or more map offerings was considered "conflicting".
What is considered "conflicting with another offering" ? Occasionally at the offering screen, one or more offering is not burned and flies off the screen.
I think shrouds are the only ones that conflict with each other and will fly off the screen before being burned. The game doesn't seem like it could do both a survivors spawn furthest from the killer and survivors spawn together.

Is anyone running Bite the Bullet or Technician?
I don't really look at what everyone is running in the results screen. I'll look next time

Just like survivor cannot seem to play the game without Med-kit Red syringes and Deja vu gen-rushing.
Lol. How often does that happen compared to killers with a loadout of 4 gen perks.

Yes because generator defence got nerfed from now till then. Now the generator perks need to be buffed.
Gen perks constantly get nerfed because many people can't seem to play without four of them in their loadout and still tunnel/camp.
-
I love map offerings during the boosted map weeks where it's all the maps I hate on high frequency.
-
Then end game would be just a free kill because all pig would have to do is proxy hook and just not let the survivor touch a box.
-
Isn't it more of a scratch mark issue which is getting fixed in the next update.
-
Never going to happen because then people would argue why something like Windows of Opportunity would be less value than something like Weave Attunement (examples).
-
Try later in the evening. Before 2vs8 there wasn't an incentive for killer for me until evening hours and beyond.
-
If you watch the big streamers who SWF they coordinate and do this. Not much of a handicap.
-
People stay at the gates in 2v8 because anyone still getting chased and downed will have their cage spawned at the gates. It's good for anyone who can't get to the gate.
