  • The only good thing is that you didn‘t rework the twins and the buffs for them were also good, but everything else was bad.

  • Agree, I don‘t even understand why they even rework them. Maybe they weren’t used much, but they were unique.

  • Interesting. I would have never tested this, but I noticed that survivors always ran in the right directions while I was invisible, which was weird. At least I no longer have to try only for survivors knowing exactly where I go. Thank you for sharing this.

Please behavior fix this, the invisible buff is actually a nerf and while you look at it, revert reikos watch back to 50% even with the base invisibility increase to 1,2s.

While I seem to think the current version of this killer is better than most do, I still think she could use some adjustments.

    • For one, she should not have a lullaby, her manifesting gives survivors plenty of time to react as it is.
    • Condemn stacks should fully lock in as they did on the PTB
    • Survivors should only see the aura of the designated TV when carrying a tape. I think them seeing the TVs neuters her ability to teleport mid-chase too much, and the weird static flickering around the TVs should be removed too
    • Make Ring Drawing Basekit. Current Ring drawing causes all other survivors to gain a condemn stack when you hook a survivor with a tape. This gives you stronger passive pressure as a whole. The tape is also destroyed when hooked
    • Tape insert and removal time should go back to 2 seconds and turning off the TV should take 1 second, not 0.5
    • I think another feature that could be cool is if every time a fully condemned survivor would have gained another condemn stack, killer instinct activates on them again, making being fully condemned even more threatening
    • Survivors with 4 or more condemn stacks should suffer from blindness, making Yoichi's fishing net base kit

Most of these were just ideas I brainstormed so they may have some design flaws I didn't think of. Feedback appreciated.

    • I only think the lullaby shouldn‘t been shown in the visual heartbeat. The atmosphere it gives is good.
    • „Condemn stacks should fully lock in as they did on the PTB“ - Agree
    • Survivors should only see the TV aura from the TV where they have to put in their tape
    • Yes current ring drawing should be basekit and the old one should return
    • Agree tape insertion speed should go back to 2s or at least 1,5s
    • The last 2 points aren‘t needed and too much in my opinion
  • I don‘t care about the bad things. I added someone ingame and I‘ve got no way to contact him.

Totally agree on Fingernails. It is a complete auto lock for me, it's too good. If an addon is too required to ever drop it should just be base kit. I personally think her other best addon is Remote Control. So much good info for intercepting tape drops and to see if anyone's ignoring an active TV on them. Not to mention mind games in chase. I've got so many downs and kills from Remote Control alone. These two are what I always run, they're too good compared to anything else.

Most the addons are bad yeah. All the purples are trash. Ring Drawing should be base kit to encourage hooking. If Well Water was base kit her Manifest/Demanifest would have some better mind games around high wall loops. Similar to Newspaper. Iridescent Videotape actively harms you as a meme addon..but it's her Iri..not a grey like every other killer. Super annoying. I'd actually even argue Tape Deck actively hurts you as well.

I also started using remote control, to have an eye on my hexes (I play her with only hexes). It‘s good, but I wouldn‘t cal it strong tho.

It‘s a shame what they did to ring drawing, it was such a cool unique addon and it should have never been removed.

Yes well water would make it better, but I think they should in general remove the red stain if she flickers instead.

Newspaper: I still don‘t understand why there is a difference between manifest and demanifest flicker. Both should be the same and either reikos watch or newspaper should get the effect with 50%.

Agree with iri tape and tape edeting deck, both help the survivors and I hope we one day get 1.0 Sadako with passive condemned back. Iri tape I just want the OG version of it.

I prefer the ranking system by a long shot. There's no longer any incentive to climb 'grades' and I personally enjoyed climbing to rank 1 back in the day. Plus, matches actually felt fairer which is surprising because of how flawed the ranking system already was, but I'm sure they could have made it work instead of resorting to SBMM. Not to mention SBMM is one of the reasons why solo queue is so awful because you get paired up with survivors that aren't your skill level.

Also rank 20 sounds funnier than ash 4.

Agree, I also enjoy climbing ranks in games and they could have made it work if they tried. SBMM is not the way.

Yeah I've seen a lot of people think Tape Editing Deck is not only good but one of her better addons in Sadakos current iteration. It's very bad. I think a lot of the people that think Tape Editing Deck is good don't actually play much Sadako. The simpler solution would be as you said to give passive Condemn back to holding a tape as there's also currently zero negative to just sitting on a tape.

Yep, how can someone think she has good addons. Her strongest addon is bloody fingernails, which is sad. All her addons are kinda meh.

It makes killers play unfun and survivors gen rushing, because both sides can‘t mess around anymore.

also something that for me wasn’t possible with rank based matchmaking. I really don’t know if people just wear nostalgia goggles for rank based matchmaking or I was alone on the unfun side of things back than…

I can understand the sentiment with knowing about your current status at least and would be okay with some kind of indication with your MMR

„Dbd was always bad and unfun for me“ 😂

It's weird how after they reworked her they didn't touch so many of her addons that fundamentally functioned with her old kit and don't make sense with the new one.

Yeah at least they could introduce some of the old mechanics back with the addons. For example tape editing deck was already bad after the first rework, but had some use, why doesn‘t give this addon passive condemned to tapes.

  • It‘s also frustrating: I added a friend after a match from a different Plattform and there is no way to write him/her my discord name or anything else, that I could talk to him/her.

  • I also wish we would get them back. SBMM makes most players only sweat. Seeing the rank in lobbies would be great. It would also be fun to grind for it.

  • @Stroggz said:

Rank system was better and at very least it was fun to grind ranks.

It’s also fun to play with/against worse and better players instead of only having teammates/ opponents in your skill level.

am I the only one who goes constantly against opponents not anywhere near my skill level - in both directions?

For me it‘s working in a unfun way. As killer when I play much, I‘m stuck with sweats and when I play less and lose one time, I‘m only against noobs constantly. As survivor I only get tunneling and unfun killers.

I think the point is not really whether it works more what it does to the players. It makes killers play unfun and survivors gen rushing, because both sides can‘t mess around anymore. It might not work perfectly, but it does match players in a rough range of skill.

Another thing I dislike is wether it‘s working or not, that I want to see which rank I am to say I‘m good or to see I‘m bad. Also rank charms and banners would be cool.

  • Ranked based match making is always better. Apex some time ago tried SBMM in ranked and they lost a lot of players by it. Now they returned it back and many returned. I also left apex, because of SBMM and now I play it again. If you don‘t have a ranked based mode you should at least have no SBMM. It’s also fun to play with/against worse and better players instead of only having teammates/ opponents in your skill level. Coconut made a very true and good video.

I went on for a bit but I’ll gladly explain but perks I think need buffs:

    Flashbang

    empathic connection

    Better then new

    Rookie spirit

    Bite the bullet

    All of the boon perks

    no mither

    we’re gonna live forever

    quick gambit

    this is not happening

    technician

    blood rush

    collective stealth

    Leader

    better together

    Weaving spiders: invocation

etc I can go on and on about other perks and their little quirks that hold certain perks back but these are just a few that I can name that could use a buff or even just a simple QoL buff

As for items the only items that need buffs imo are Maps, Keys, and firecrackers I’ve explained them in my post.

As for the gutted perks: scanvenger was gutted on release due to the amount of people who outraged it to be nerfed before it was released, MFT was deceptively strong but nothing broken that everyone in the past argued about it pulling bigger numbers out of their butts to make the perk sound worse then it really was but nerfed to be situational, prove thyself not really gutted but definitely didn’t need a nerf, Spine chill nerfed to the point it’s honestly useless except only good against stealth killers, and finally Adrenaline there was never a point to nerf it, it has stood the test of time and lasted unchanged for close to 8 years straight and now is going to just be a weak endgame perk if the ptb change goes through.

You could just write look at the survivor perks, because all were gutted since their release or got gutted later. There aren‘t really strong ones left.

  • @SolidRazo said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/411025/can-survivors-get-some-actual-buffs

Completely agree, with how strong killers are getting and how consistently worse maps are getting for survivors of course survivors going to go down far more easily.

as Someone who plays both sides enjoyment on survivor side is so lack luster the only fun recent thing has been added to the game for survivor has been “champion of light” but that’s about it everything as of late has been nothing but killer buffs and survivor nerfs and for god sakes their even nerfing adrenaline which has been balanced for 8 years and is now suddenly a issue.

Like it’s not even funny majority of survivors tools have been completely gutted and majority of perks are laughably bad. Not even asking for killer or map changes just buff survivors tools and perks as well there’s so many perks and items/add ons that are just bad and having them be useable and have a good niche that someone would want to use would make survivor enjoyable. Like imagine if maps had a longer duration and had an add on to track pallets and windows acting like a budget WoO and maybe had an add on pass to make it more usable and user friendly. Keys not being just a glorified aura reading tool, and actually worked like KEYS they could instantly open chests and maybe could rework breakable walls to act like doors that keys could open Just food for thought. If firecrackers weren’t just a 1 time use item and actually had charges and was a bloodweb item that stayed there consistently would be a nice change of pace for items. I only included items too there’s a ALOT of perks that could use buffs and just need slight tweaks to make them worth using and actually give value. I’m not saying everything on the survivor side needs buffs only the weak and incredibly niche items and perks need buffs for survivors.

Agree the maps are getting worse and worse with each update for survivors. This is one of my major thing I dislike about the game. I liked Borgo before the rework and it was fair. Now it‘s the most killer sided map. Same for garden of joy and coldwind maps.

Behaviors balancing team is really bad. They never try to balance good perks. All they do is gutting strong ones and taking years for a minor buff and what annoys me the most they rarely introduce good new stronger perks. I prefer a strong vs strong balance over a weak vs weak balance. It‘s just not fun, there is literally no strong and fun perk in this game anymore.

Survivor items are in big need of buffs and addon changes. I would just revert the medkit nerfs. Medkits are so laughable. All are the same and the addons suck. Flash lights are also very bad, you can only blind the killer if he‘s in a animation. They should blind faster and we need light burn back. Keys more aura addons and a base effect. Giving the green map the effects of the iri map. Toolboxes need more charges. Firecrackers having more charges would be cool. I would really like to get a item/luck/cheats update.

    Overall I agree with you.

  • Agree, same for me. A win without a challenge is no win.

    • Show Survivor perks in loading screen for each other.
    • Remove the bubble after Survivor gets hooked to obscure the Killer position.
    • Kindred base kit (only see Killer and Survivor within 16 meter range).
    • Survivor can't try to suicide on hook in 1st stage of hook (still can use perks that let you self unhook)

Just to name a few key ones. With these I am 100% sure the % escape rate would increase a bit and overall soloQ experience would be very improved.

However this will never happend. Devs hate Kindred base kit for some very odd reason lmao.

Instead of making survivors unable to self unhook they should increase the % for self unhooks.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

    • Charging/Holding Reign of Darkness: 3.68 m/s → 3.8 m/s.
    • Teleportation speed during Daytime: 12 m/s → 18 m/s.
    • Cool-down time during Daytime: 12 seconds → 10 seconds.
    • Exit Locked Locker duration: 3 seconds → 2 seconds.
    • Each injured Survivors adds a stack-able +0.75 c/s per each → +1 c/s per each injured Survivor to Nightfall.

Some add-ons would have to be nerfed because their effect would be put into base kit.

I agree with those buffs. Some things I would like also like to see:

    • Being in locker counts as searching a locker so would it work with darkness revealed
    • Whenever Nightfall starts the locked lockers reset to not locked
    • Being a lot more silent in a locker
    • You don‘t always spawn in the locked locker of the locker group
    • Addon buffs and iridescent wooden Plank begins after half of the duration of nightfall or it’s active for the whole nightfall

Well okay maybe you guys are right

Make her lullaby non-directional and make TV Auras of your Non Destination TV not visible that should be it though.

The Addons is a universal issue though, every second killer suffers of this

I still think Sadako 3.0 is by far the best designed one tho

The thing with her addons is, she once had good addons, but they all became bad/worse/outdated through the reworks: Iri tape, ring drawing, tape editing deck, vcr, rickety pinwheel, reikos watch, yoichis fishing net, sea soaked cloth.

  • I think we should have the option as console players to turn it on. It would help a lot to maybe find friends or it would also be amusing what people write. On the other side if console doesn‘t get it, PC shouldn‘t have it.

  • As someone who loved everything about Sadako 1.0. I just want this version with todays buffs back. She would be very strong, but fair. You would have your TVs always, which sucks since 2.0 and 3.0, that survivors always turn off all TVs all the time. This would give you your control over the tp and condemned back. She never needed the reworks only some buffs and I would have buffed condemned by making the range 24m or making it based around the proximity to one Tv (0-8m 2stacks; 8-16m 1 stacks; 16-24m 0,5 stacks). Another point is all her addons are still designed to only fit well with 1.0s mechanics.

  • Her current version has so many flaws: Outdated/bad addons, the good ones got deleted, ONLY a noob stomper, complete power denial/control by survivors, too much information given to survivors (TV auras), bad stealth (directional lullaby and visuel terror radius), cleansing in her face, no counterplay as Sadako or negative for survivors grabbing a tape. Maybe I forgot something?

  • @BlackRose89 said:

Im a average Sadoko lover, I don't consider myself a main of her since I don't play her all the time and well I'm not that great as her, I would say I'm pretty avg on her. As a note I mainly play Xeno and Legion and I play every killer a little bit other than blight, nurse, oni and Billy (I HATE playing these killers). That said I don't really complain about her 3rd version, I enjoy it more than 2.0 but I do think she weak. I would say she around C tier, not super weak like Freddy or Trapper but also not super strong like A or S tier killers. Personally I only want few things for her.

    1. a addon pass since a lot of her add-ons are just bad, the only good ones imo are the bloody nail and Ring drawing. Honestly I don't see any reason to ever take these two off since the other add-ons are just meh compared to these two.
    2. I like TV auras be completely removed except for the ones that survivors need to drop their tape off. I feel knowing where every on TV at all times is too much free information for survivors.
    3. Personally I honestly want ring drawing be based kit. It would add some risk for holding a tape again and be a additional reward the players for hooking a survivor instead of just slugging them.

Those about the only things I personally want for her. I do enjoy her 3.0 version but she is weak in some areas and could use some love just to help players.

    1. It‘s funny how all her addons are outdated and the good ones got deleted. The only good one is bloody fingernails and that is required to stand a chance.
    2. Agree 💯 %. The auras make every part of her kit worse. Be it her chase, to approach survivors, condemned denial….
    3. Ring drawing should be basekit, so that carrying tapes gets some risk at least (I would prefer getting passive condemned back). I want old ring drawing back, it was such an unique and good addon. I also don‘t think slugging is something bad, especially since Sadako can‘t down you easy and you should not be forced to play every killer the same way.

Oh I agree, it would be much better to buff old, worthless perks than absolutely gutting strong ones.

I will never understand behaviors balancing team. They always nerf what‘s picked much and okey where it is. Then they gutt those perks and it gets replace by another perk, which will be gutted next. They don‘t even try to give players anything good. The nerfing/gutting will never end if they don‘t introduce something new or buff things and they won‘t archive variety, because most players will just pick what is in strength under the gutted perks. For me the balancing team sucks all the fun out of the game.

  • @SoGo said:

I hope they will get changed, I just hope that the Distressing change will not just be removing the bloodpoint bonus.

Me too, that would be such a waste to even mention it there, but they also did it with monitor and abuse, where they mentioned it and in realty nothing changed besides the FOV part, which became basekit.

  • They should remove all invisible walls. It limits this game so much and it is fun to run on top of things and to jump/fly over the whole map.

Leave the area and go where exactly? In basically every direction is a house with strong windows... That's the whole point why the map needed to get looked at, survivors just ran to the houses and you either abandon chase or lose the game, because against a decent survivor you don't get a hit fast enough there.

Yes the graphics got updated, I just stated that I don't necessarily think a graphics update was necessary or the rework of the loops could have been a little bit more minor I guess, so to not have a whole different set of issues.

Both playstyle are not good, which is the reason why OG legion was terrible design, he just followed you and hit you till you went down. However my point is that as the killer you should be able to cut survivors off to reduce chase time, because just holding w behind them like on midwich is horrid. What exactly has that to do with getting a guaranteed hit though? Are you telling me there is only busted loops and useless ones or what?

The windows aren‘t undefeatable as long as you don‘t follow them without thinking. I meant „with leave the area“ leave the chase if they are too far ahead or have too much stuff, then they can play the houses very well or run from pallet to pallet to window, but that is a thing that applies for almost every map. Once you got the pallets next to the houses, they have to fully run around the house while you catch up and hit them.

You can cut off survivors. Go upstairs in the houses and jump down on the survivors. Also when you want the houses to have many holes, survivors have to get something to run to, but most times got only one pallet outside of a house and if that is dropped, you got nothing. (Side note houses with many holes are weird if they aren‘t ruins)

The main isn‘t busted so aren‘t the houses. Strong yes, but not busted.

Whenever Behavior touches maps at the moment, they mostly only add loops, where the killer has only to walk left/right and then force the pallet drop, which gives him a free hit and in the haddonfield rework they made the loops even weaker than that. Haddonfield was balanced before, because the map had huge deadzones and strong houses. Now it has deadzones + deadzones in the houses.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3698323#Comment_3698323

If your argument is that the houses were fine because players are too bad to use them properly... Then by that logic nurse needs a buff because bad players don't know how to use her properly... Doesn't really work out does it?

If someone plays those two windows good and you play a killer without a good chase power you will get looped at that house for minutes.. And it is not that hard to pull it off.

I mean sure they could have just changed the fences, but also wanted to update the graphics.

As for the Myers house... But is it good gameplay to just follow them? Because there is not really an option to cut them off? If you do it we'll you can probably get out more than 2 laps, by utilizing the other windows the house has.

Yes one of them, but I didn‘t say the houses need buffs.

They can be played good, but the killer also has options to outplay them or he should just leave the area if he can‘t catch them fast enough.

Doesn‘t current haddonfield have updated grafic or do you mean the old haddonfield with better grafic.

Counter question is it fun as survivor when you get hit reguardless how you play. It‘s not like that is the only real loop in this area and that is also how this game works. Killer is chasing survivor is running.

What patch fixed this? I didn't see it in the recent notes or anything.

Original haddonfield had kilometer long fences with windows in the middle you could basically hold w for minutes without the killer catching up, the map was an atrocity.

The Myers building also had at least one god window that was basically an infinite, because it broke chase.

I mean just because you like those things does not mean the majority of people do. It is only fair that they express their will as well and if it is deemed reasonable to give them what they ask for.

If the people you play against don't use the houses, what exactly do they do then? The map has no windows outside of the house and a total of like 7 pallets outside? Everytome I get this map everyone just goes straight towards a house, because the map does not offer much more.

Those window loops are super easy to play, it is really not hard to loop an m1 killer there for several more vaults than just 3 before entity block.

Sure the upper floors are not the issue, but I never said so. To be explicit the problematic windows are the two on the same side and the main building ones. As they both allow for many vaults without much of a risk of being cut of or outplayed.

I dont really think that decent survivors will fall for those things you listed as plays and even if some fall for it the loops still heavily favor them.

The super long fences would be easy to fix on old haddonfield field.

The Myers house windows aren‘t really too strong. You maybe get 2 rounds, but most times you catch up before the second round.

I didn‘t mean they don‘t use the houses. I meant they don‘t play them up their most potential/ most play them bad. I rarely got someone playing them well and even then it‘s not too bad, but they favor them like you said.

Can someone tell me what is the purpose of holding the tape? Should I turn off tvs whenever possible near a gen?

The tape is for cleansing 3 condemned stacks each time you put it in the target Tv and you can/ should turn off all TVs. If you carry a tape you can decide to turn off additional TVs for one stack. Holding a tape does nothing by it self.

I've genuinely heard sentiment and have had discussion with a number of these top playtime Trickster's and we genuinely miss the 6 knife 4.4 version. That version should be the baseline that modern Trickster should be built on, It was genuinely hard to get some of the feedback from these players because some of them don't speak a language we share in common (the top player "Geugjigo" speaks Korean, Ayano speaks Russian for example) but i've done my best to amass community sentiment without trying to interject my personal opinion. A lot of these players have posted #RevertTrickster on social media, namely Littlerugaard, Wacek134, and myself off the top of my head, Geugjigo has expressed sentiment that he's confused why the killer has gone in a 4.6 m/s direction instead of doubling down on Trickster's unique aspects.

The general jist i want to clarify is the vast majority of Trickster players want him back to his 6 knife shell at the very least, and to add improvements on top of that, it's been 4 months since i've gathered this sentiment but honestly it seems a lot of that has gone unnoticed by the community in favor of public facing people who do not play Trickster all that often.

Since the changes a number of previous Trickster players refuse to touch him until he gets put back or "fixed" and a few people including one of my good friends Brandon (Previously WorstDwight who used to post amazing clips on tiktok and Twitter showcasing Trickster) has quit The Trickster due to his playstyle being eradicated and has seemingly had his feedback ignored despite being the most public facing Trickster enthusiast, which is very disheartening for the future of the character if one of the most popular among us had their feedback ignored.

In conclusion I just want to ask that BHVR keeps an ear to the community of people who play their characters when digesting reworks and ask those players what would make the character more interesting and accessible, you did fantastic on the Billy rework and I have nothing but praise for it, but I wish the same due diligence was given for The Trickster.

I agree, hopefully they will listen/talk to those who actually play those characters in the future. It‘s really frustrating to lose the killer you liked.

  • I agree. It‘s such a bad feeling when your favorite character becomes something else you don‘t like. Adding new things to characters is good, but don‘t change them entirely. Buffs and QOL changes are the only things needed for those who like those killers. Not everyone has to like every killer.

    and rightfully so!

That anyone thinks Sadako is “garbage tier” is a garbage take!

…We’ve heard many of those takes from certain players.

You’re absolutely correct, vs experienced SWF she’s no exception to the fact that as with most Killers, a experienced player will usually end up with 1-2K (master Killer players still 3-4K).

Also totally correct that “This is sadly how this game works. Against most public survivors though, she's very decent.”

Yes, Sadako still can still easily average a 2-3K in SoloQ, while those master players easily 4K stomp SoloQ w her.

“If played at her best, Sadako can be really strong with the focus on condemned.”
Yep, and some players just can’t learn or perfect Killer powers, and want everything as easy as it can be made for them. Unnecessary Buffing of Killers for this reason makes DBD extremely boring the expert and master Killer players.

I don‘t want a buff I want just as many would say bad Onryo 1.0 she was a lot more fun and if she needed anything, it were the QOL changes and buffs from the reworks, but not the actual rework parts.

Also it‘s true, that survivors have full control about how good/much you can use your ability and Tv auras are too much it makes her chase a lot worse than it could be.

I don't recall the context of the first thing? About haddonfield houses? Some context would be nice there. Even if btw. there still should be such strong easy to play loops like those stupid windows on haddonfield, even weaker killers should have an option to play the loop and not just give up because there is nothing they can do.

It is only reasonable to go for the next issue when one is resolved...

Well that is subjective, I find the game more enjoyable these days.

Yeah I'd appreciate buffs to weaker things as well.

It is only reasonable to go for the next issue when one is resolved...

That means for me more more things are being removed I like.

Before I say how I would play them, I will say that the upper floor of any house and main never were a problem. The other houses 3 windows were sometimes tricky, but mostly doable and 2 windows in the ground floor were fine. I have to add that it rarely happens that a survivor actually plays this windows well. Most don‘t even know what they got.

1 When I‘m in the entrance close to a survivor. I try to bait the vault next to the window, so I put my read stain to the window and then go fast back through the entrance.

2 Sometimes when they are a bit ahead I try to jump down on them from the upper floor, not always useful.

3 I don’t follow them into the living room because then they can use the optimal way to vault the windows and then I try to mindgame.

4 When there is a window in the living room I just follow. Most times I catch up and then do one of the other ways.

I hope I could answer it a bit. If there is a more specific situation that you want to know. I can try to prove it wrong or admit you are right. Shure those houses are strong, but they are balanced by the rest of the map being trash. I very rarely had a survivor actually play them, where it took some time, but I never had big problems with the house. The best solution they could do I think is adding in some houses fair breakable walls, that don’t make those windows useless, but help the killer and then they could also add some more pallets.

It would also be cool if they bring back the original haddonfield map and change whatever was a problem with that map. I would love to play this map, because it looked so good in old videos.

All they did for years was make band aid fixes for gameplay issues by making the solutions into perks, and now you want that back? Nah dude you are off on that.

Who cares about variety if all those things are majorly unfun for one or the other side?

So you basically don't want to learn tracking but just sit around and let them come for you? Well that is boring.

No map is unfair for killer? Infinite windows on haddonfield? Old cowshed? Pallet heaven that is the game... Yeah sure half the roster cannot play around those loops but needs to kick 10 pallets first... If you lost on old cowshed as survivor against an m1 killer that was 100% on you... A decent survivor could loop the killer for 5 min+ on that map... But sure the killer is trash dude xD

Why exactly would you not want unpleasant things removed? That's an odd wish.

I meant with the killer is trash the character not the player.

Why exactly would you not want unpleasant things removed? That's an odd wish.

Because this Community never stops complaining and just switches targets after one thing got changed. This game was great once. We were at the point where people claim calm spirit is op. The game was far more fun in the past than its now and it was because there were many things that you call unpleasant and I call fun.

I also did say they should buff weaker killers instead of nerfing constantly everything.

They removed the broken windows in the houses and added more pallets in the dead zones, of course the map will be better. The map was stupid with those infinite windows. And people complained that they were forced to run them because everything else was a dead zone... The solution seems fitting...

The filler loops on eyrie are really strong, the map still favors survivors.

I dont see a reason why maps should not be balanced but survivor sided?

Garden of joy still has quite strong filler loops, a really strong main building and somewhat weird collision on the bushes, it is still survivor sided... Even the main building changes didn't solve much.

Haddonfield was somewhat balanced before and the windows weren’t that bad. All they did with the rework was removing the only good thing survivors had on this map and placing some useless pallets and doing everything else they could to make it completely killer sided.

Maps should favor survivors, that‘s the only thing they got. Iri favors survivors, but is still fair like most maps.

I prefer old garden of joy. It was one of my favorite maps. Now it‘s extremely easy to 4K on this map.

Why would you want camping and 3 genning to become stronger again? Unless I am understanding you incorrectly?

There are reasons to why the anti-facecamp and anti-3 gen systems were introduced, because they were insanely unfun to go against for most people. I also don't see how camping is unviable now, only facecamping is nerfed by this useless new anti-facecamp system.

I don't know, I really don't think maps are the problem for survivors in this game. They have just become much fairer for both sides in general, with of course some exceptions. Camping and tunneling are the biggest frustrations survivors have to deal with, and those need to be addressed. If we instead just make maps more survivor sided again, we just end up with even more camping and tunneling killers.

Because this game is more fun if people play differently Therefore I want the anti camp to become a part of all hook based perks as status effect and anti 3 gen changed, because it‘s just annoying and denies variety in builds. Instead of making those playstiles trash they should just give survivors better perks and other stuff.

Camping is unviable without playing huntress. Also I don’t want to wait for someone to die on hook. I want survivors to come to me so that I don‘t have to search for them and sometimes face camp buba. All the anti camp did was making killers stronger by making killers proxicamping or tunnel.

I wouldn‘t call it „the maps became fairer“ more like far easier for killers, because I don‘t think any map is unfair for killers that aren‘t trash. Killers should play around loops with their power, skill, perks or they should just break the pallet. Instead of nerving constantly they should buff the weak killers.

I don‘t want behavior to play mommy for everyone by removing everything unpleasant from this game.

I don't agree with the maps being good for killers only... Just look at Eyrie or Garden of Joy, even after the rework they heavily favor survivors.

However I agree that maps should not be heavily one-sided... Even though it feels like they maybe are going in the right direction when we look at the upcoming haddonfield changes...

Iri of crows is fair I think and maps should favor survivors in my opinion. That‘s the only thing they got. Garden of joy on the other side doesn’t favor survivors anymore (maybe if the rng is good). Shure strong main, but the maze tiles spawn most times without a window and the pallets spawn so weird. Outside of main it‘s mostly dead zone after breaking 3 pallets.

Are you honestly saying the haddonfield changes are good, this will be the most killer sided map ever?!

Pretty sure CoH was 75% before it got nerfed. So I really believe even 60% would have been fine. 50% would be a 32 second heal, plus the boon activation time would mean 46 seconds just to heal. Arguably even a bit much.

It was 50% self heal after some nerfs and then the final nerf is what we have now

  • Not everything fun needs to be fair.

Injuring survivors would still be impactful even if you could heal yourself within CoH, as long as the healing speed isn't too high. They should have just nerfed the self healing speed to something like 50 or 60% and the perk would have been fine if you ask me.

It was 50% and I agree. It was fine with 50% self heal

We love your game BHVR, we do, but things are getting so bad with your decision making.

You literally have so many people on forums, telling you what is bothering them, what is unbalanced or even annoying to go against and yet you do nothing in that regard.

There is so many problems right now…

    1. Tunneling is out of hands, which makes it miserable for surviviors.
There is 4 surviviors and 1 killer, and for that one person games are miserable for 4 more.
People mostly play with their friends, and the bad one is always tunneled out, making it impossible to win for survivors. It's so bad to the point, that our friends never want to play dbd with us, veterans.
New people don't have access to perks that are crucial to survive against tunneling killer, they literally need 3-4 characters to have a chance in this situation - the most important one is Laurie with DS which you need to pay money for the licence - people don't do that until they really like the game.
    2. Grind is too much of a problem for new players.
Someone did the math, you need nearly 2k hours playtime to unlock everything in the game, that's a lot.
    3. Survivior role is being killed slowly but surely.
Surviviors are getting so many nerfs - to items and perks.
Burning mechanics should be more developed, not killed - it was a way of skill expression and coordination with other people most of the time - it was a real counter to nurse, which we needed.
There were things that needed a change, like healing speed, with some of that changes we agree. Good job on that.
    4. There is too much power giving to the killer.
Yeah, new killers are getting mechanics of hitting surviviors through the palletes and windows, the only counter to getting damaged. This is one of the reason that there is so much unbalanced between the killer rooster - that's why no one wants to play m1 killers.
    5. Hit validation is terrible.
Too many hits behind the windows, pallete hits that should never land, bluetooth hits which should never be a thing - people are reporting this very often and nothing is being done to that issue for so long.

I get it, playing killer is not easy, but why are killers having their hands held for so long now?

    Also… techs removal - why?

Let people have those 180 flics with oni, blight, chucky… it's not easy anyway, you need to put work into learning it. Why are you getting rid of it? It's funny how "not intended features" are the best features in the game.

I want to be killed/damaged by all those techs! Because i know that i died to a skilled person, which doesn't really make me mad.

Games are so dull now, you can't make fun plays anymore. There is only two scenarios which are available in game, either you do gens fast enough and get 3-4 escapes or you don't and you get stomped by 500 hours killer - how in the world is someone with 10x less hours is able to stomp on my lobby just because he found the weak link and got rid of him fast?

Other topic is balancing the game - how is nurse still in such state at 2024? After years of moaning from the community she still doesn't need to care about core mechanics of the game? This is ridiculous, really.
Blight is so strong with correct addons? You nerfed a few but created double pink addons which makes game so easy and is miserable for opponents?

Don't make me start on new twins, which are the worst killer rework of all times.

You are designing game which only 20% of lobby will be satisfied - killer for winning the game.

Change your priorities behaviour, take actions to the things that concern your community the most at the time.

I would love to see more surveys about game balance - give us the opportunity to express our feelings and let you know about things that bother us!
Don't make those surveys long enough for us to spend 20-30 minutes aswell.

Give us platform to be in better touch with you, after all we are the community that spend unimaginable hours to be a part of your community.

And yes, I know that my post is mostly survivior oriented, but i didn't want it to make long enough to be forgotten and lost in the forum's pit of darkness.

Hope you have a great day!

    1. I think the increased tunneling is a consequence created by behavior trying to eliminate frustrations for survivors. Like there was camping, slugging and gen kick. Now the only play stile left is tunneling or chasing different people and being honest most people will just take the easier way. In my opinion those other things were good, because they added variety to the matches (shure they could be frustrating) and made this game less stale. I also don‘t like tunneling, but I also don‘t want another new system like the other two, who make this game more boring. I just want anti gen/anti camp systems removed/changed to not distroy those playstiles, then tunneling would also become less.

    4. I don‘t think tho. The problem is that behavior makes the reworked/new maps too easy for killers and survivors are too weak in general

Balance in general is terrible in this game. There is so much useless stuff in the game and everything gets nerfed constantly. I would much more prefer balancing this game as strong vs strong rather then weak killer vs weak survivors. This is boring, strong stuff is much more fun. Then they also remove fun things from the game constantly like sky Billy … and everyone plays only serious and mmr makes everything only worse. Blight and nurse are fine as they are in my opinion.

Change your priorities behaviour, take actions to the things that concern your community the most at the time.

They did and this made this game only worse honestly.

Ring Drawing is actually her strongest addon right now but not intentionally as it has the old and new effects combined since the start of the Sadako 3.0 PTB. It does still have the "get condemned stack from healing condemned survivors" effect on top of the new one where it spreads it out for hooking someone with a tape. As it currently stands, it's much more of an iri addon in value than the actual Iri Videotape which is kinda sad.

    https://youtu.be/OAiIHggLpCo?si=Hzunut_XVWjzG77l

It doesn‘t have both effects anymore. I think it was fine as it was bugged. Now it‘s just trash.

well just so you know, they're buffing facecamping in next update. One of the changes they're doing is that whenever a survivor innate an unhook action. the unhook action cannot be canceled.

What this means that you can run add-on's like iri head and iri-coin on deathslinger and just aim down sight. as soon as survivor begins unhooking, they are guaranteed to get hit by iri head or iri coin because they cannot stop unhooking action.

Poor survivors😂. I would prefer hook grabs and the anti camp being a status effect instead. This is an extremely dumb change honestly.

face-camping is reserved for bubba and machine-gun type killers. it shouldn't be universal strength.

Buba sadly can‘t facecamp effectively now and agree. No other killer could do it like buba did.

you can still face-camp. in fact one of biggest memes in dbd right now is tombstone myer's face-camping. machine guns like huntress can still face-camp by re-downing the survivor quickly. all that mechanic does is give survivor the ability to unhook themselves instead of die to automatic regression. It is not enforcing you to do anything.

I know those killers can do that, but I don’t like playing those. I don‘t mean with camping waiting until someone dies more like wait for someone to come to the hook and chase him instead of searching for someone or get a quick down, but 1 it‘s not worth with anti camp 2 they can see it filling up and tell it their team.

Insidious basemnet buba is still a legend.

When it works now it could return and it was more meant as joke.
