I made a Diskcussion in the ptb feedback about that behavior should finally acknowledge failures. I mentioned trickster and Sadako in there maybe you want to write some feedback in there about trickster.
-
I also didn‘t get the question
-
Exactly we wanted buffs no new versions, reworks→ just good old Sadako 1.0 with buffs nothing more, nothing less!

Her stealth ability has potential, but it’s so bad. The lullaby, the visual terror radius, not to mention the lullaby is directional so you can hear exactly where she’s coming from.
Yeah they have to adjust the visuel terror radius for difficult to hear stuff, because such things shouldn‘t be shown there, it‘s just unfair, that people who wouldn‘t hear it (people who can hear) → Oh there is a lullaby in the visuel heart beat- I think she is close- let‘s prerun.
The directional sounds are also unfair.

What is even the point in playing Sadako besides liking the character's aesthetic? I used to be a Sadako 1.0 main but ever since 2.0 she has been ruined for me.
She has stealth that is countered by a lullaby. She has mobility that Survivors can disable with no downside. She has slowdown that is extremely difficult to get value of that Survivors can mostly ignore then easily counter while also disabling her mobility at the same time. She has no chase power to make up for this. She literally cannot do anything. I can accomplish more with Freddy's power with his snares and teleport than I can with Sadako's power. I genuinely think Sadako is one of the worst Killers in the game. She has no identity and no purpose. There is literally no reason to play her aside from liking her visual design. Because if you play her for any other reason, you're better off playing literally any other Killer.
She is unequivocally abject trash.
EDIT: Oh, I can't forget to mention the Survivor experience. The one and only situation she excels at is bullying newer Survivors who don't know how to play the game, effectively serving as an exclusive noob stomper, making the game that much more miserable for only that part of the playerbase. Fantastic design. Abuses noobs and is abused by literally any other player above 10 MMR.
I’m also a OG/1.0 Sadako enjoyer she was perfect. Good mobility, discouraged survivors to interact with TVs and optional condemned. I loved her back then, she was so much fun. Then the rework came and no more mobility and only condemned. It is terrible. All we old Onryo players wanted was a revert😔. The second rework is almost the same at least it shares the same problems as 2.0.
I don‘t know who at behavior designed this, but this version is nothing more than a noob stomper, she stands no chance against decent survivors.
1.0 would not have these problems!

VS bad survivors you are still going to steam roll every lobby even though alot of the changes were geared towards these lobbies. VS good survivors you LITERALLY do not have a power anymore and there is nothing you can do to get that power no matter how good you are as a Sadako.
I have played mainly Sadako as killer and there are intermediate survivors as well. You have to take into account how the developers want her to be balanced, and since she has one of the better kill rates across all MMRs, you can't just simply buff her. The very fact that she has a built-in mori AND a complicated power means she will over perform at lower mmr and intermediate (if you indeed play it like a sweat) level of play.
Do you balance her around lower/intermediate players or high mmr/competitive players ? It's normal to struggle against good SWFs and higher mmr players since you are a M1 killer, and it's normal to steam roll lower level players because of her mori and complicated power. It's the nature of her design and the learning curve of the game.
However, I do find myself agreeing with the fact that she needs something in order to combat good players that play around her power well, thus rendering her into a wandering stealth-ish M1 killer, but you also have to address the fact that she over performs at mid/low levels. Adding condemn when picking up a tape and/or lowering her TVs cooldown (making it so you can teleport more often) will mean that good players won't be able to completely deny her power which is a problem indeed. At the same time, you need to keep the experience fun and interactive for lower skilled survivors. Survivors need to understand that picking up tapes is good for them since it denies her power. I think this one needs to trigger our monkey brain in order to work, like a sound effect (tv static or stronger lullaby) when you are within a powered tv that gets removed when you pick up a tape, you could give her blindness base kit when within powered tvs, UI improvements to make it clearer that you need to get a tape. Something that says "powered tvs = bad and picking tapes = good".
They should not encourage survivors to constantly turn of TVs, that is what ruined this killer for all OG Onryo players. They should finally return back to OG Sadako instead. She was fair/healthy/scary and fun to play and play against. She only needed some buffs and with the buffs from the rework she would be such a cool killer.

this could been easily adjusted. lowering cooldown on TV from survivor and killer would reduce downtime TV's being turned off. The tp cooldown should been condemn cooldown in which they did get right on 3.0 but it was on the on wrong version of the killer. The mobility would be untouched, the condemn build-up would work same way. maybe nerf condemn build-up to lesser degree like 0.5 condemn/1 second per tape break if it was unbalanced.
OG sadako wasn't good. it was same problem that current sadako has. There is virtually no counter-play towards spamming televisions because TV spawn near gens and survivor need to do gens to escape. The reason why problem isn't apparent is because tapes & TV's are ultra-broken in favor of survivor. this is very evident when you play Sadako on Elementary Midwich with Videotape copy add-on. It is just TP→TP→TP→TP and everyone condemn in like <3 minutes with 18 meter radius. The mechanic is beyond absurd. The OG sadako did not experience this problem because of 100 second TV cooldown. You had to run iri-tape which reset 4 televisions. Technically the problem was still there but it was based around killer getting hits which was mildly more balanced this version.
2.0 Sadako was genius design. This was because survivor had counter-play tool where they could render the mechanic ineffective and killer had a mechanic to manipulate said counter-play in their favor. Survivor that looped well and held tapes had no trouble defeating her in an average match and survivor that played the m1 game poorly quickly got killed. The mechanic was still a little rough on edges but the overall concept was brilliant. they took a cool concept and deleted it. Indoor maps, it is too strong and in outdoor maps, the killer is worthless vs good teams.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3693188#Comment_3693188
Pig is less accessible in my opinion. She can still do same gameplay as before but it takes more effort. Onryo on other hand is changed. you can't use any of your 1.0 Onryo experience or 2.0 Onryo experience to win. She's m1 killer in normal maps and almost free win in muti-floor indoor maps.
The problem of TVs being turned off would still be the same.
Skitten explains it perfect.
@Skitten56 said:
In my opinion one of the biggest issues with her is how the past 2 reworks have punished survivors for not turning off TVs, rather than punishing them for taking a cursed tape and turning them off.
Her release version survivors didn't want to get cursed by watching the video/taking the tape so they'd only do it if they had high condemn or wanted to deny her mobility. This worked out perfectly fine since it allowed Onryo to have good map pressure to make up for her weak chase power.
However the reworks changed that and actively encourage turning off her TVs. The result is that survivors now are strongly rewarded for denying her mobility along side removing her condemn pressure. This means that against good survivor teams she will have weak map pressure with an already weak chase power. And with the latest rework, condemn pressure isn't that strong against a good team that knows how to counter her.
I much prefer her release version where survivors were in the most danger after touching her tapes and getting cursed from it.
The good point of 1.0 was that turning off TVs was not encouraged. I can assure you most people did not play her for condemned back then, because I was a survivor main at that time. Her pick rate decreased drastically after the rework. Before 1 of 10games I saw one Sadako→ after rework 1 of 20 games.
Also 1.0 had counterplay, you could either turn of TVs in advance like now, but get 1 stack every 25s → 4 stacks after finishing the gen. Fair trade, she could still interrupt you. Or you could take a tape and remove stacks. They were not supposed to be taken as a shield.
The problem of the reworks is that she looses two powers by survivors turning off TVs and I think both reworks are really unfair. First rework very unfair for survivors and there were little they could do. The second rework actively stombs and targets noobs and is miserable for Sadako against any decent player. -

I agree with pretty much all your suggestions. Passive condemn gain again in exchange for only the Projection TV giving condemn is a fine trade. I also like the idea of condemn amount gained tied to distance from TV. Only thing I disagree with is restoring old Ring Drawing add-on; this add-on resulted in the slugging meta that so many survivors hated. I'd rather they not bring that add-on back into its old form as a result.
OG sadako would be such a good/ healthy/ fair and scary killer with the buffs from the reworks.
Completely agree. Her original version was the most fun and also was the most thematically correct to the source materials. I wish BHVR would make such changes but tbh, I kind of just want them to also not touch her again. She is in a decent spot now even if it is not the most ideal. Last thing I would want is BHVR doing a 3rd rework and having it be as disastrous as the 1st rework.
Thanks for the reply. I‘m happy you are my opinion. Ring drawing should at least work for healths and not for downed heals like it did in the first rework.
Honestly I don‘t want another rework, I just want A REVERT WHERE THEY LITERALLY CHANGE NOTHING MORE THAN WHAT I SUGGESTED back to her og version.
The reworks were so unnecessary to begin with I‘m just sad after all the post we did, we still didn‘t Archive the revert to her OG version with buffs. I hope the devs read this and just give her back to us after such a long time. I don‘t want to wait years like all the feddy mains since it‘s so simple what we want. They don‘t even need to reimagine things.
Also if a dev reads this it would be really nice if we get some sort of answer even if you don‘t say much.

The TL:DR version is this. VS bad survivors you are still going to steam roll every lobby even though alot of the changes were geared towards these lobbies. VS good survivors you LITERALLY do not have a power anymore and there is nothing you can do to get that power no matter how good you are as a Sadako. All matches come down to how much or how little the survivors knows your power. You have balanced her power around people who don't understand it, but they still do not understand the power because it's extremely complicated in comparison to every other killer and you've made it IMPOSSIBLE to play VS good survivors without resorting to just tunnelling people off hook which not only isn't fun, but can be done with much better results by literally any other killer. Resulting in the only fun matches being ones where players kind of know what they are doing but not really.
"Condemn Is Just Supposed To Be For Slowdown"
First let's get this over with now because I am sick of seeing this argument made by people, Condemn is how you play Sadako, it is not "just slowdown". Now, if you choose to play Sadako without taking condemn into account by all means do that. But you are playing her purposely ignoring literally half her power. Without condemn, you are Dredge without anti-loop, without Nightfall and a TP the survivors delete for 70s. Dredge is already a mid killer at best, deleting over 2/3rds of his power is and never will be a viable killer. The condemn is what makes her viable.
I see comparisons to Pig and her Bear Traps all the time. This is not the same situation where her Bear Traps are legitimate slowdown. When a survivor interacts with a bear trap to remove it, they HAVE to run all over the map, spent about 10s interacting with the power for a chance to remove the bear trap. Wasting potentially MINUTES of time to remove this trap. This is nothing but free pressure for the Pig and therefor is legitimate slowdown even if you aren't actively box hunting.
As a survivor against a Sadako, her condemn is so bad right now you can go the entire match barely having condemn pushed on you because you as a survivor can prevent it being pushed on you in it's entirety and there is nothing a Sadako can do to stop it. Every single time I play vs 3.0 Sadako, at most I get 3 stacks of condemn pushed on me by the Sadako in the ENTIRE MATCH. I inflict myself with more condemn turning off TV's than Sadako ever pushes on me. Not only this, but her condemn even if I have any amount on me holds 0 threat because tape interactions are so fast you can do it mid chase. Meaning very rarely if at all do you ever need to waste time cleansing condemn if you have even a rudimentary knowledge of how she works and even if you do have to do it, you don't even need to detour to do it you can just do it while in a chase. Unlike the Pig where if you're interacting with her slowdown and she finds you, you can no longer interact with it and gain further pressure. Not only this, but interacting with her condemn DIRECTLY DELETES HER OTHER POWER. The TP she has goes for 70s for interacting with the power and there is NO DOWNSIDE. What this means is even if you like to run builds that don't focus on condemn, you can't do it because you don't ever have a TV on to build pressure that way. 1.0 Sadako you could legitimately run a build like "Make Your Choice" and sometimes get value because grabbing a tape built passive condemn so you could not just freely run around with a tape turning off every TV with 0 downsides. So not only is this rework worse for condemn Sadako than 1.0 and 2.0, but it's worse for every other playstyle since the one power you do have just gets deleted freely. Comparing it to the Pig is silly because it would be like if the Pig loses the ability to crouch or ambush when survivors are trying to remove a bear trap. Also comparing Sadako's condemn that can be cleansed in 1/10th the time while directly hurting her other abilities to another ability that is pure, free value even if you do absolutely nothing to interact with it outside of putting on the hat is quite frankly, ridiculous.
Therefor using the excuse of "Condemn should just be slowdown" DOES NOT WORK. 1.0 Sadako was only viable with a very specific, very unfun version (to play against) of condemn pushing in the higher level of play.
2.0 Sadako heavily leaned into the idea that condemn is her power which is how it should be and why she was actually viable for the first time. Since you had full control over your power if you micro managed well enough and why even though 2.0 Sadako was less interactive than 1.0, it was much more enjoyable for me since it felt more natural and the counterplay on the survivor side was also interactive. 2.0 Sadako I never lobby dodged, I never felt anxiety of playing and I always enjoyed every single match no matter the difficulty because I always felt like I could do something and had a power. There was always a choice I could make to change the tide of battle as both survivor and killer.
3.0 has tried to add the macro of 1.0 Sadako with the more natural and healthy condemn playstyle of 2.0 Sadako but fundamentally fails because as a survivor you hold her power hostage while the power is still too complicated for new players.
I find myself dodging lobbies more than ever because you literally need to if you want to have fun. You HAVE to buff Sadako in some way so that deleting her power isn't the easiest thing to do while having no downsides.
Suggestions
I'll never make a complaint without a potential fix. I'm not saying all these changes should be done, I'm just making a list of potential changes so you can't hold her hostage.
- Remove TV auras or substantially lower the range you see the aura. I shouldn't be able to have permanent wallhack on the TV aura's to know exactly how to prevent condemn 24/7 but just never being in the aura. Bad survivors don't use these auras anyway, all you're doing is massively buffing good ones.
- Push condemn at the start or in the middle of a TP. One change you explicitly said you wanted to do was the pushing condemn mid chase, but you can completely deny this because the condemn is pushed at the end of a TP and you have wallhacks on all the TV's. It makes it way too easy to walk away from a TV and completely deny the condemn push.
- Tape break on hit with changes from 2.0. You don't need to push 2 stacks of condemn like 2.0 Sadako (1 or even 0.5 would be nice). But grabbing a tape that's meant to be cursed should not completely counter Sadako in her entirety. Getting caught out with a tape SHOULD be a threat. It currently isn't. Or instead of pushing condemn, make it so any TV that was turned off by that tape turns back on. That way there is not only direct counterplay to someone turning off the TV's freely, but it doesn't end up in 2.0 situation where no TV is on and survivors struggle to cleanse. While also the stacks of condemn they gained from turning off the TV's can't just be instantly cleansed mid chase and will actually hold a threat making it no longer just free value for holding a tape and turning off TV's. It actually adds a risk reward dynamic for higher lobbies for both sides while not affecting lower lobbies who just turn off TV's by grabbing a tape then depositing that one.
- Tape interactions NEED to be classed as conspicuous actions. With a 5s DS stun on the way this will change will discourage slugging. Right now you can get off a hook, immediately interact with a tape and still have all your second chance anti-tunnel perks meaning you can freely cleanse condemn with 0 downside. With 5s DS in the game and I know someone is high condemn, I'm either going to tunnel them off the hook before they get a tape or knock them when they do get one and leave them slugged for the DS timer since if I try to pickup they will easily get it off. Again, this is another un-counterable situation for this supposed "slowdown" that's going to occur. This change won't be needed if you implement tape breaking again.
That's it. This isn't even getting into issues like the addons but never should a killer feel so powerless that you need to pick and choose lobbies just to have a good time. Alot of these changes won't affect the lower skill lobbies but will have profound changes to the higher skilled ones and will make Sadako once again feel like a killer with a power. It will also mean you have to use some level of brain power to play vs her rather than now where you can just autopilot your way through matches.
You make the issues clear very well. I completely agree on them with you. It‘s just that it doesn’t matter how good Sadako play‘s more like how bad survivors play. She is so bad against good survivors and all efforts for making her easier for new players (which don’t use their advantage) only made her terrible against good players.
I loved Og Sadako, she was so close to being perfect. I hope they just go back to her OG version‘s mechanics. Therefore they should change her current version and keep the other changes:
- Tape instertion speed back to 2s
- Remove TV auras (only show where you have to deliver your tape)
- No one stack condemned trade to turn of TVs
- Passive condemned again
- Only the Tv you teleport to gives condemned
Then condemned should get one of those two buffs:
- Range increase to 20-24m
- Condemned based around the proximity to one Tv; this means you get 0,5stacks 24-16m; 1stack 16-8m and 2 stacks 8-0m
The addons, that are important to me, which also should return are og ring drawing, og yoichis fishing net, og reikos watch and og iri tape.
OG sadako would be such a good/ healthy/ fair and scary killer with the buffs from the reworks. She never needed reworks to beginn with just some buffs!

I agree they should hide the TV auras, but only when they are holding a tape. This means survivors will be able to find a TV to turn off easily enough, but cannot abuse the aura reading in chase. The buffs BHVR made recently to her post-Projection speed boost however did help with this issue.
Tapes breaking on hits is one of the worst things we could go back to. 100% against this. Her first rework was just a nightmare and this was a large part of it.
I'd rather they go back to her release version where she only spreads condemn around the TV she projects to, but increase the range or stacks applied upon Projection. Also go back to how the tapes used to work with ticking condemn and survivors being discouraged to grab tapes unless they want to deny mobility. These changes and keeping all the other QoL changes along with Ring Drawing nerf would be her best version imo. It would allow for skill but also be balanced.
I think Tv auras should be removed since it removes a lot of the horror factor from Sadako and I loved playing against 1.0. I know that this version needs the auras, because you are condemned in seconds without, therefore they should go back to 1.0 with the buffs from the reworks.
I completely agree with you that breaking tapes with hits was very annoying and often snowballed someone out of the game. I really disliked it.
I really wish they go back to the release version, it was so close to perfect. All it needed was shorter Tv cooldowns and a small buff to condemned (either a bigger condemned range or my idea making condemned based around the proximity 2 stacks 0-8m; 1stack 8-16m; 0,5stacks 16-24m)

They should make males and females the same size. It feels so bad playing a male, because of that. I constantly think; as a female the killer wouldn‘t have seen me.

being closer has only been made her weaker. I personally don't enjoy going against current sadako or 1.0 Sadako. only 2.0 version was interesting to play against as survivor for me and interesting to play as.
I think OG Sadako with all the buffs she got with the reworks would be very strong, fair and fun. The thing most people complained about were the TV cooldowns and maybe that the condemned range should be a bit bigger.
My only problems with 2.0 were tp cooldowns and people constantly shutting of TVs to counter global condemneed (which is currently the same problem)

maybe so but I personally never played against something like that or if I have I probably haven’t really noticed cause I just take the chases. If their turning off all the tv’s then their just casually getting stacks if I catch them with a tape then I just chase them till their down if they just run to a tv to put it in then that’s a free hook state for me but it’s kinda ridiculous that all 4 survivors will go to all the tvs to turn them off that sounds unrealistic and a perfectly bad scenario for the Onryo player that will rarely happen
it’s not perfect per say and I definitely feel survivors should be more punished for holding a tape in some way but as it is for me it’s not that bad from my experience
The first Tv doesn‘t give any stack , which leaves you when they are split up with only 3 of 7 TVs (0stacks on each) and by then you could play basically any M1 killer.
Survivors don‘t run around and deactivate TVs in low mmr, it is more in the higher mmr. I‘m not playing too serious with her, therefore I‘m currently in a lower mmr and it is just not fun playing a noob stomper. When I’m finally back in a higher mmr this killer feels miserable to play since they just split up on gens and you got no TV to teleport to (only the ones where no one is).
In the first version she was fair since condemned was more difficult to apply and she also didn‘t have her TVs constantly shut down, because of passive condemned. With all the buffs she got the first version would be extremely good and fair (when playing for condemned or when playing her as teleport killer)

It is honestly like giving the survivors auras of trappers traps with a visual indicator… after that shes literally just an M1 killer. Maybe if she was way more stealth like Wraith she would stand a chance… They need to buff her.. Buff her chase, and buff her stealth please.
Imagine hearing a map wide sound when dredge teleports and seeing in which locker he teleports from a mile away with a aura. Oh well then you would have Sadako.
-
I just hope that they improve/add new things to characters we like, instead of changing how they work completely. OG Sadako only needed some buffs and the condemned lock in.
-
I wana see a classic gamemode with old perks, old maps and old aesthetics (maybe old killer designs). Then it should switch between some eras every time it reappears.

I would merge this addon with distorted photo and increase it a bit.

As a guy who enjoys playing Onryo I say she’s perfectly fine as is and doesn’t need any changes as far as Ik. She’s finally in a healthy spot that doesn’t feel brain dead.
her lack of a chase power is perfectly compensated by having insane map mobility and built in slowdown.
Idk where you got the idea where she’s “map dependent” because her TV’s being next to every generator eliminates any Map rng since she can just teleport to every gen or at least close to a generator if the tv is off. The map rng you have to worry about is loops and to that you just play the game and try to outplay the survivor by cutting around loops and mind gaming all of which is just standard m1 stuff that people apparently don’t like to do. Onryo’s mind gaming is arguably better than most killers cause she can just phase in and out when using her manifestation.
I personally like to use her Teleport movement bonus to cut off survivors and end chases hella quick and it’s fun to come up in front of them suddenly slap them from the massive speed boost and while teleporting I also give survivors condemn and they may or may not need to leave gens regardless slowdown is slowdown and if I catch them with a tape then they will end up having stacks that will eventually lead to a condemn kill if their not careful.
Regardless her teleport is fun and manifestation mind games are fun so perhaps the killer is just not your type or you’re just not being creative enough with how you play.
I played the first version and you could do those things far better back then. The only thing that was worse, which was manageable, were the Tv cooldowns.
If you play against good survivors, who normally deactivate all your TVs, you got nothing. Back then taking a tape was a huge risk and you had your TVs always, because of that. This gave you the upper hand about your mobility and condemned. Then also your position wasn‘t given away by TV auras. This made playing against this killer feel like in a horror movie. Now take tape → no mobility, no curse. The counterplay is far too easy. I would much more prefer having a difficult to apply curse than an easy to denie one only as slowdown.
I don‘t dislike the buffs she got, but her mechanics: how tapes, TVs and condemned worked should have stayed the same.
-
Huntress is so unfair with this combo. She just spammed the hatchets with no consequences like a Maschine gun. She didn‘t need any of those buffs.

I do think sadako will rework/revisited but I have feeling that it won't be till June 2025. Maybe if you keep making posts from now till dec, changes show up sooner but I don't know.
Hopefully not. I‘m still hoping they just revert her back at the anniversary exactly one year after the changes and keep the buffs she got. And hopefully we get the good addons back with that as well.

in Q&A, it was said that Sadako would play closer to her original version. Part of made her play closer to her original iteration was this add-on.
I don't want to be begging for revert every day but the changes to Sadako are anti-fun :(
I wonder if the twins players will join us (Sadako players) and trickster players, who didn‘t like the reworks to their beloved killers. They should just improve them instead of reimagining/reworking them.
I‘m tired too from all of the complaining about the reworks she got and suggesting solutions. I‘m just hoping it doesn‘t take another 6 months or longer to get her original back.
The funny thing about her is that most addons only have a meaning with her original version. Like look at tape editing deck for example, it was only good for her original version like other addons.

they said that sadako is supposed to be reverted but where is add-on revert on this add-on?
When/where did they say she is going to get reverted. The only thing I heard before the last rework was she will be closer to the original version.
Honestly it would be cool to get the slugging ring drawing and old iri tape back.

I really like this map and funny enough I always thought it was survivor sided, before I heard complains about how easy it is for killers. Overall one of my favorite maps for both sides. It’s fair and you can loop with all pallets and windows. Not like all new/reworked maps with guaranteed hit loops.
-
That‘s how I would change them.
Boon perks should get a new ability, because it‘s just sad that you can‘t do anything against teammates constantly sabotaging you by distroying all totems.
- Therefore when you equipped a boon perk you can repair distroyed totems (in 16s)
Then boons should also be made a lot quieter, you hear them from a mile away.
The range of boons should also be increased to 32m.
Boon perk changes:
- Exponential: Gives you also the effects of Tenecity and flip flop and/or you see all hook auras in range of the boon.
- Shadow Stepp should also give you iron will and not showing blood pools (and maybe light footed)
- Dark theory should get 3-4% movement speed and (maybe light footed) Or Instead of making survivors faster it could slow the killer and give faster vault speed
- COH should either get 45-50% self heal back (maybe it unlightens after 3 self heals) or +200% healing speed, which should also work with self care
Depending on whether COH gets self healing back, killers should be able to distroy boons (basekit) through kicking them and then survivor would have to repair them again and bless them afterwards again.
-
I don‘t know where I read it, but they mentioned it is intended like this, so that it is more difficult to spot someone‘s aura on a gen. With that being said, I agree with you, it would help a lot.
-
I actually don‘t mind the time, but the Brocken effect sucks. If they would make you only loose a hook state instead, it would be cool. Also why can‘t you do more than one invocation?
-
I hope they make that you don‘t loose your power by hitting/missing someone. This really sucks and a shorter power cooldown since survivors love to follow me all game to constantly abuse the reveal.

for beginners
Take advantage of every mistake survivors do in chase
Vaulting windows, running into closed spaces where they can’t juke your m2, getting locked into pallet vault/drop animations
And if you’re playing against a survivor who knows how to dodge your power pay attention to how they play around your power (and you can also M2 fake)
Those survivors will always tend to double back when they see you aiming into a certain direction so it’s better to aim at one corner (like let’s say shack) and then aim back at the direction you expect the survivor to double back to
And if you’re bad with M2s I suggest avoiding hits in open areas cause those are usual mistakes many beginners do which is always hit in open map areas because survivors will often juke those hits… but against bad survivors you’re somewhat fine doing that
You can also use aura reading perks (nowhere to hide being his current best one in my personal opinion but there’s also I’m all ears and floods of rage)
And also most importantly
Run double range addons only
Burning man painting which increase your range by 1.5 meters (green addon)
Wax doll which increases your range by 1 meter (yellow addon)
Thx

That would be broken. You would basically be a stealth killer all game.

Make DS trigger after every unhook.
The 2 extra seconds are good, but it doesn't change almost anything
I agree, I will never run this perk only for combating tunneling. Either let me use it like I want or it‘s still worthless to me. Especially since it deactivates in endgame.

i take advantage of that 😈
Cause that’s called greeding and that gets you right into a deadzone
Do have a tip to hit more M2s with him?

Me too, sadly most people run far around my spikes.

Its far from useless, its just not going to be the best survivor perk anymore. Also wdym "killed another"? They literally buffed DS to how it was, how can you complain?
DS still has the stupid conspicuous actions thing. Also why should I be happy about having to run a perk against…… behavior, which I‘m limited to? So why should I be happy? A perk I liked, which is fair balanced gets nuked and it‘s a huge nerf, which mainly targets soloq.
-
I want the old custom games bots as dc bots. They are so OP! They blind you in a mili second and have constant wall hacks. I hope we also get a killer AI (please don‘t program it to tunnel all the time), then I could finally stop playing soloq.

If solo queue players don't do that, then it's simply a skill issue. Nothing more to it. You have the HUD for things like this and solo players are fully capable of 99ing gates as well. This is not much different.
The value of Adrenaline comes mainly from the instant heal. This effect is not gone. It just needs a bit more preparation. The decreased duration of the speed boost was unnecessary but it's not like that kills the perk. I mean, you make 3s * 1.4m/s = 4.2m of distance. On the killer. That takes 7 seconds to catch up again for a 4.6m/s killer and you're also fully healed. The difference is that the chase doesn't end. But you're still in a very advantageous position and assuming someone will start opening an exit gate soon, you shouldn't have much of an issue escaping. The situations in which this isn't enough are pretty much the same as before.
Maybe stop playing killer for once and play soloq instead, before posting such things. There is no way to play around this change in soloq, because you simply don‘t know wether someone has this perk or not. And after this patch it will be far less popular to a degree that it won‘t be played in soloq at all, so you would gamble for nothing with the final gen.
The hud doesn‘t help you in this situation at all, what would help is seeing all your teammates perks.
Hopefully all good killer perks and powers get those dumb restrictions too.

no, it’s a midchapter release without new content.
Major things are those mentioned in the dev update. possibly some minor adjustments as well and bug fixes
thx

next week as teasers and dev update are this week. Probably on Tuesday but could also come Wednesday or Thursday.
Will we get a new killer or survivor with the ptb?
-
The dash of DH was the coolest thing in this game. Sadly I could never play it.
-
It‘s still bad as long as it deactivates through conspicuous actions. I would much more prefer having only one use and one guaranteed one.

it used to show killers aura in 64m if you looked towards them
so it was literally having wallhack cheats on killer
All the time?

they might as well bring back old dead hard too while they're at it and old object
Agree with old DH (and MTF and COH with 50%.) I don‘t know what old object did.
-
They should remove conspicuous actions with this update and make it work in endgame again.
-
First of all I‘m no twins player, but I‘m sad that they didn‘t make the attaching on a downed survivor optional. I would want to play them like running from one survivor to another and downing one after another

What is this math? Lmao
You will get value from it, just not after going to the hook. It's the exact same thing, with a little less speed boost (which, to be fair, i really didn't think that needed to be nerfed).
Also, the way you're arguing, the killer is playing well (hooking) and getting rewarded with a healthy survivor. How is that fair?
My math was: You get to endgame with this perk 40% of the time and it gives you value 50% of the times you get to endgame. Maybe a bit exaggerated. But since killers everytime say this gives free wins, I took the escape rate (40%). This leaves you in my example with 20% of times you get positive value in reality maybe 30%. The other times it only gives you negative value like making you exhausted while you were already healthy.
This perk isn‘t the same as before, you already get not that often value from it, but when you got it, it was good.
This perk rewarded survivors for playing well, a one time use perk shouldn‘t deactivate by the killer hooking someone and it‘s fair because of the survivior GETTING TO ENDGAME and it being a 1 TIME USE.
Also it‘s just dumb that survivor perks in general deactivate in endgame there is no such thing for the killer and the survivors then get punished for playing well, like why? The survivors succeeded in what they should do and the killer didn‘t and he is the one, who gets rewarded (also there are a lot of perks that do that for the killer)
