If you don't camp or tunnel getting pips is not hard. The quickest way to lose pips is to have someone die on first hook or camp a second hook stage.
I don’t play killer.

@sizzlingmario4 said:
Yeah I agree, depipping makes no sense anymore, only time you should depip is if you DC imo.
Exactly! After having to sit through games like this, then seeing you had a pip removed for the pleasure, sure makes me want to play more. 🙄

100% agreed!

Also, does anybody have a hard time healing a bot? They won’t be broken and they are just stood there or even crouching next to me and you go to heal and it won’t let you for some reason?
I will have to say though that I like when somebody DCs against a Pinhead. The bots seem to be obsessed with his box, and they go and get it more than my fellow solo queue survivors.

At first I thought I could have been the killer as I've been playing Sprit a lot lately with Rancor. I don't run NOED though and I don't do it to actually get a kill at the end I just do it to scare the obsession to think that's what I'm planning to do.
I know you don't want to hear it but for something like this I wouldn't worry about it. It's not worth stressing over. I know it can be easier said than done. I am someone who will dwell on the little things people say to me.
Thanks! I’m pretty much over it now. It just leaves me baffled at what goes through people’s heads. If either of them had been hooked, I would have risked the Mori to help them. It’s just a shame people have to be this way.

I know how feel. I run Inner Strength to get healed quick so I can save as much of my Lucky Break as I can. A claudette got mad and started fast vaulting next to my locker. In the end it went bad for her because she got hooked at end game and I don't risk anything in solo queue for anyone who has been toxic. Normally I don't care about escaping but in those moments I do.
This! I also don’t usually care about escaping, I just didn’t want to get Mori’d. I used to run Inner Healing and also had the random survivors trying to pull the locker door open when they know I’m in there, and then spam the locker next to me.
Its just so toxic and I don’t know where it comes from. Just let people play how they want to play. :(

Can I ask why then, when reporting a player do they list Slugging as an Unsportsmanlike Reason?
Is it so they can just immediately disregard that report? Because if that is the case, wouldn’t it just be easier if when Slugging is selected further info comes up to say it is not an offence for which a person is banned?
I personally feel like there needs to be more info when reporting to actually point out what is supposed to be reported and what isn’t. Would save your employees a lot of time probably.
A killer was on this forum last week saying they reported every survivor that took protection hits because they thought that is what “blocking” meant, because they were blocking their way to another survivor or to a hook if carrying somebody.
-
I would pay a lot for a Supernatural chapter!!
-
But there is no need for a rework. There should be three vault types. Slow, Medium and Fast. Killers are moaning about the animation looking weird on the fast vaults.
They are moaning because they are no longer getting hits that they never should have got in the first place.
-
Agreed! The big black circle is redundant. I don’t understand why there has to be one at all. Everybody, kindred or not, can see the person on hook unless they are affected by blindness. Why do we need the big black circle?
-
There has been a PlayStation System update. If you make sure to download and install this update, it is now allowing me into DBD, when earlier it wouldn’t. Hope this works for everybody also.

I had a game which was frankly disgusting! I thought people were trading on the hook but then they stopped at second stage.
I thought they just began to farm. I never trust what killer is gonna do but sometimes I go along with the farm as they won't chase you anyway.
The ghostface started going for me at shack. A pair of players tried blocking my route's. They hooked me. Continuously Bm'd While they let someone else do gens.
They t bagged me and pointed at me on hook. Did the pretend unhook tease too. I died.
I wasn't actually bothered just disturbed by these peoples actions. Very odd behaviour and I should have reported. A new player might have quit the game for good.
Curious if these were two Feng players on the EU servers? I’ve unfortunately had them a couple times. I also thought they were farming then they started body blocking me and a bill in Midwich rooms. The after I was hooked did the fake unhook for ages and BM’d me. Second time I faced them I wasn’t paying attention to the lobby and only realized once I was in game. I did record the match though and submit a ticket, not sure if anything happened to them.
-
I was able to play fine yesterday/last night after the update, played for a good few hours. But now today when I go to log in I am getting the error about not being able to load into the store. I am on PS5.
-
I mean if I have to play a full match with a killer who is using the StRaTeGy of slugging, camping and tunnelling. You can play out a match where a team are also using items and gameplay which is given to them.
It works both ways.

Okay, while I could do away with her, I happen to use some of her perks so speak for yourself, not everyone else.
As for my answer to the subject, The Doctor. I am autistic and while not much gives me sensory overload like many other autistics, The Doctor definitely does. Sorry not sorry, but I unalive myself on first hook when I am against The Doctor as I just can't handle going against him mentally.
I have to agree with the Doctor sensory overload and I also unalive on 1st hook. I feel bad for my teammates but it’s just too much for me, and there is no mechanic to avoid certain killers. 😭

Of course anything the survivor has as a way to fight back, is bullying.
Of course.
-
I hate that de-pipping is a thing still. It makes me not want to play, not play more.
-
@bm33 said:
I feel like alot of matches on both sides would be alot better if depips were removed.
100%
-
I thought I saw a killer say they were getting “bullied” (their words) and they went AFK and came back and had been DC’d and had a penalty time to wait out. And somebody said if you are AFK a bot does take over now? Maybe they were mistaken as to what happened.
-
Yesterday somebody said that survivors taking protection hits for each other was cheating and they were reporting them after every game.
The day before that somebody said it was cheating to use comms while playing with friends.
Now it’s cheating for just using a perk.
Wow.

in my eyes, at the end of the game, it's the reward of a match that counts and there is a huge problem with the design of dead by daylight.
From a suvivor's point of view, if you don't play optimally, you are often punished four times in a single game for dying.
- The first punishment is you die. You are out of the game. No respawn, simply nothing. No way to comeback or do anything other than start a new game. frustrating if you thought it was a nice match.
- The second punishment is the amount of bloodpoints you get. If you die early, the amount is just ridiculously small. The current event shows again how ridiculously often the blood points are in relation to getting an invitation in the bloodweb. Have you ever looked for a purple flashlight?
- The third punishment is you may lose a PIP. The killer wants you out at the start of the game? You can run him for 5 gens and then die while die gates are open and you lose a PIP because you never healed someone or touched a gen. For the other players you are the match hero but the game punish you for it.
- The fourth punishment is your MMR goes down. That means your team member gets worse in the future, you will lose even more.
The same applies to the killer, albeit differently. killer mains may explain this better than me
So is it a community problem or a problem that BHVR brought us? I think it's a problem that the developer created and doesn't understand himself.
This. A lot of games feel like a punishment for your efforts.
-
Why did you DC?
-
Okay she is just miserable to go against. Not a single one I’ve played against are prioritising hooking and just hitting, slugging and teleporting while you are getting more and more condemned. It’s actually just pathetic and I’m going to go next as fast as I can when I’m against her.
-
@JPLongstreet said:
I look at the hooks being destroyed on sacrifice similar to survs three-genning themselves.
Hooks are a resource to be managed too.
110% this!!! Killers want all hooks to stay active no matter what, yet are quite happy to camp and sit on a 3 gen situation.
If survivors have to manage what gens need to be completed next, killers need to manage dead hooks.
RNG affects both roles and until survivors have a way to move unfinished gens to a new area, dead hooks need to stay in the game.
-
I’ve had a lot of matches against her since the rework, and I’ve not had a single one that prioritised hooks over trying to get people condemned so that she could Mori them.
I also noticed that when there is one survivor left (when the odd chance of them not slugging when there are two left), she just teleports as fast as she can from tv to tv to try to build up condemned quickly. So the last survivor has to pick if they want to look for hatch, or try to find a tape and active tv to lower their condemned.
I personally feel that the games against her now are just oppressive and are not fun. I don’t mind dying, heck if I minded dying I would never play this game… but at least in some matches you feel like you have a chance. I don’t feel that when I go against her now.
-
How in the WORLD is a survivor body blocking a killer? 🤣 A killer can just hit the survivor.
Reportable body blocking is when a killer and or another survivor body blocks a survivor in place as there is nothing they can do to get out of that situation.
Teammate body blocks (aka protection hits) are encouraged and there are even perks that only activate by taking a protection hit for another person.
I can’t believe you have been reporting teammates for taking protection hits. The poor devs. 🙈
-
I have a bonus question…
Why do events bring out the worst in this community? It’s been an absolute sweat fest the last two days.
-
Yeah I was with a trio yesterday and when one DC’d at 5 gens, the other 2 followed suit within 30 secs. Left me with 3 bots at 5 gens, and a killer who thought it fun to slug me to try to get the bots.
Was a laugh a minute.
-
So now killers are complaining of perks that they say are helping them get survivors out of the game? 🤣
-
@GroßusSchmiedus said:
Since the grade system mostly rewards playtime anyway i don't see why de-pipping should be a thing. It only pushes people into playing into playing sweaty for no reason.
Exactly this.
-
As if anybody thinks being on coms is cheating. 🤣
-
@Komi said:
Why didn't you just play regularly, you asking to be killed is exactly why the killer targeted the bots and ignored you because they were the ones still doing objective.
The bots were not doing the objective, they were all coming to get me up. Not a single Gen was worked on this whole time. The Cheryl bot kept doing the box and the other two kept coming to get me up.
If I wanted to play with a load of bots, I would get my mate to load in as killer and go into customs. I don’t mind one every few games but all 3 and the killer has to go out of their way to act like this. They still would have had the same number of hooks if they just let me go next.

Last Lunar New Year event there were a ton of people complaining about "too many event offerings" in bloodwebs because they could only use them during the event. Wouldn't be surprised if the lack of event offerings in blood webs is thanks to those complaints.
I was here to say this! I have a TON of Red Envelopes and Arcane Dowsing Rods just sat in my inventory that I can’t use. As long as I get enough invitations to play one every match, I’m happy. Would rather not have them sat looking at me unused after the event.

This is unbearable!
Someone said on the forums that majority of SWF are just "cHIlL" friends playing together!
NO,THEY'RE NOT!
They are here to piss off and humiliate the killer!
That's what 90% of SWF are,a freaking challenge for themselves to see who's the worst type of person and get a prize called "Douche"!
Why does every game against SWF have to be a toxic hellscape,a nightmate,pain and humiliation!
Killers are people behind the monitor,it affects us when we have to put up with your crap all day long,so you can get 10 minutes of cheap smirks!
It's unbelivable the developers think the SWF are friends!
I'm sorry,developers,but there are so many more party games that do the fun aspect better,they're not playing DBD to have fun,well not at the expense of someone they aren't!
It has come to me beign afraid to bring a lower tier killer or be suspicious of an already formed 4 survivors in the lobby!
Why does every game,nowdays,be full on sweat and pain!
I haven' had a relaxing game as a killer in a full week
And I'm not even red rank,not like ranks matter anymore...
And I did count more than 3 escapes as a chill,as long as I lost because of my mistakes and not because of infinites and bad map design forced by survivors!
You need to take a breath, and a break from the game.
-
I go for them, and I heal them. The person who DC’d may not care about bloodpoints, but I do.
-
If Jonesy is in the map walking around, I’ll be sandbagging more games finding him to pet him, than I do with Maurice now.
-
I am very excited, but I have to say that if Ripley is not the survivor I will be crushed and all excitement will be out the window. I’m so nervous.
-
I just have to chip in at all the people saying “Run Distortion”. And when we do, then we get everybody calling for Distortion nerfs saying it’s too strong. 🤣 This is why an Asymmetrical Game can never be truly balanced.
-
@bm33 said:
Survivor better be Ripley and hopefully her lobby animation is her snuggling Jonesy.
If Jonesy is running around the map, I will get NOTHING done. 🤣 It will be worse than me sandbagging a game because I don’t want to stop petting Maurice.
-
Jonesy is in the teaser!!!!! OMG please say the survivor is Ripley. PLEASE. I’M BEGGING.

I really need the survivor to be Ripley, if it’s some random I am going to be so sad.
-
Names and prestiges should be hidden until end game and killer ping should be shown in lobby.
-
We used to be able to see the killer’s also in lobby but now not until the game loads in and it’s too late to dodge. 😭

Heres how I did it. Urban Evasion, Calm Spirit, Distortion, Iron Will. Wear dark clothing, go to Midwich, hide in the center courtyard the entire game. Be hated by your teammates. EZ
Came here to say pretty much this exact same thing!!! 🤣

@Mat_Sella said:
Why did they remove the condemned stacks on hook? It doesnt make sense if you want people to feel incentivized to hook survivors and not just go for the Condemned kills via stalling.

Empathy is one of the most underrated survivor perks, even in a swf if someone tries to explain where they're getting chased its going to take time and it may not be accurate but with empathy I know right where the action is
Yes!!! I love it so very much.
-
@Squippit said:
In soloqueue, Bond and Kindred
I also run Kindred and have recently switched Bond for Empathy. You should give it a try. It is the best aura perk for knowing where the killer is as you see when somebody gets injured and can see if they are still in chase and where. It’s so good.
-
I run Kindred and I do it when the killer is no where near me and nobody is moving to come get me and I am close to 2nd.
I know they can see where everyone is, so I start waving my arms to see if it gets their attention. 🤣
