Sloppy doesn't even work on Legion other than normal M1's, so it's not good on Legion.
Thana is much more effective and I see it a lot but what I really hate about Legion is mending and the fact he gets cheap hits you can avoid for the most part.
But the mending is so annoying and so boring.
i did not know that thanks for telling me mb

I have been playing this game since 2016, free with PSN, yes im a dirty console player. But my issue with this game is how the devs literally do the opposite of what we ask of them then get mad when the player count drops. The SBMM is broken like my heart from my last relationship and these mfs aint doing what they need to do to fix this game before something like VHS or Propnight takes over. If anybody on the team sees this message. Please ban me from the forums to prove my point. Learn to take criticms and actually try to work with us to save this game called Dead By Devs... Thanks
- PS. Nerf Leatherface nibba OP lol
This is legit the funniest thing i read especially the broken heart analogy made me chuckle upvote lol

Hear me out, anytime I play killer and I have twitch streamer in my lobby I check them out beforehand. See how they are acting on their stream. If they are obnoxious and being a jerk I don’t play that lobby. If they seem nice and whatnot I’ll drop a comment saying let’s have fun and this is the killer here. What I find laughable is one time after I dropped that comment before a match the streamer said “don’t stream snipe now!” Even though she was in a 4 man SWF team on comms. I wasn’t thinking about doing that. True I leave the stream on while playing on my PS4 but only to listen to their comments and reactions to me as killer. I’m not watching where they are going. Just find it funny that they had no problem being on a 4 man SWF team and were constantly updating their team on where I was and what I was doing but me stream sniping is going too far? It seems like a double standard.
Short answer, no, long answer maybe if, you aren't seeing their perspective so you can actually take the shot when stream sniping

Need I say any more? This build is used in almost every game at the higher ranks due to how simple it makes defending the generators. There's no skill or (real) counterplay to this combo. There is counterplay to BBQ, hiding in lockers, but doing that when repairing a generator just wastes precious time. That means there's more chance the killer will get to the generator before it's repaired and ruin all your hard work and effort for no effort or investment at all.
The killer just hooks a survivor (easy enough) and sees everyone's aura, and then they can go to generators being worked on and instantly get rid of 30-40 or more seconds of a generator repair progression, counting the fact it applies normal regression ON TOP OF the massive gen progress decrease. There's nothing the survivor can do about it. It doesn't even have a cool down, so if someone tries to repair the generator to make up for the unavoidable regression loss, the killer can just do it again with no penalty. It literally punishes you for playing well, and I don't know if that's healthy.
I realise this will probably be seen as a joke or bait by the people of this forum, but I'm being serious. This build is used in almost every high rank game - even the Decisive Strike + Unbreakable combo isn't used that often, yet the BBQ+Pop combo is the one ignored. It reeks of hypocrisy to me. Both combos are uncounterable without literally stopping doing your objective. Killers should face the same stigma for running these brainless combos that survivors are given, and I'm sick of this community giving them a free pass.
Tl;dr: Killers are hypocrites for complaining about good survivor perk combos when they use an overpowered and uncounterable perk combo every game. It's the small PP build for killer.
I bet you're the type of person that complains about BBQ and pop when Ds and unbreakable is in your main build kek

Please remain civil and read the post before posting a comment. I am going to talk about how proximity chat probably would help balance SWF and buff solo queue while talking about the obvious problems with it.
After thinking about it for a while, I realized just how unfair SWF on comms using discord or some other voice chat system can be. I mean, this is a 1v4 game (asymmetrical) where two sides compete to win (even though you can't really "win" in this game). However, one side has 4 people against one person and also has perfect communication because of voice chat. Imagine if the killer had something that let them know where all survivors were, imagine how unfair THAT would be, but it is the other way around times 4. Not even getting into how meta perks for survivors stack or other variables.
People have made arguments saying that "We should just deal with it and git gud" or "It really is not that bad". But it is, it is that bad. Maybe not always, but the fact that it can happen and does happen says something is wrong here. The fact that it does happen drives even more people away from the game, it pushes them over the edge so they just uninstall which is unhealthy for the game.
Proximity chat and why it is actually not a bad idea (one of the best ones I have heard honestly)... but of course the obvious problems with it
Proximity voice chat just in general (so also for solo queuing survivors) would allow effective communication that isn't unfair but still useful.
So what is stopping this from being in-game?
- Incredibly toxic players
- Third-party systems (discord voice chat)
- BHVR - They would probably say something like "It would ruin the immersion in the game" even though people use voice chat normally which doesn't exactly keep you immersed. They also have yet to fix sound among other things.
The most pressing issue with it are incredibly toxic players. Some people who play this game are already "disrespectful" to say the least in endgame chat alone, imagine voice chat in-game. Mentally unstable people and children are at most risk to being affected by this. I could handle being yelled at by a 23-year-old adult for playing the game a certain way (I mean this has happened in other games before lol), but could an 11-year-old or person with depression? A work around for this would be to disable this feature, have a mute button for certain players, and an indicator showing if someone has it turned on. Even then, I am still a little nervous about this being in game because I worry for others. I mean just look at how people are when playing RUST, I'm sure you have seen the videos on youtube. The levels of toxicity in this game rival RUST, and like I have said before that is saying A LOT.
Third-party systems such as discord's voice chat could just work around this, I am unsure if there is a fix for this (I'm pretty sure there isn't). People could just use discord and completely avoid the in-game voice chat entirely. I mean it is a pretty simple solution.
BHVR is pretty slow when it comes to updates, especially ones that balance issues. I doubt they would be on-board with creating proximity voice chat especially when they have yet to fix sound just in general along with sound bugs. They would have to fix and refine the sound in this game and then implement a whole proximity voice chat system. They have also said in the past that it would ruin the immersion of the game (correct me if I am wrong about this statement).
I think that BHVR should at least test a proximity voice chat system in a PTB. They could then maybe update the reporting system so any people being toxic could be reported and dealt with. Anyone who doesn't want to use it doesn't have to, it could be dealt with by muting people in the esc menu. It would also be a very fun feature to use assuming people aren't being toxic.
If there are any other really good ideas out there I am unaware of, then go ahead and comment it.
No just no I don't think this is a good idea the bass outweigh the goods im sorry

Also while we're at it, can we just take self-care out of the game? And urban evasion? They are okay perks for good survivors, but they destroy most solo q games. I normally play with friends, but it is disgusting how many people who refuse teammate heals to self-care
Nothing better then watching your rando teammates waddling like a penguin through the whole map when the killer isn't nearby, or watching randos run to the corner to self-care against no-ed.
Rants over
So you wanna get rid of a perk because most survivors don't know how to use it properly.
Pfft can't be me.
It's as if there are millions of tutorials to use self care more effectively
Hah, like that ever existed

Just had a match with a rank 4 killer playing pig. I was able to loop her well and she had given up on the chase multiple times and decided to just tunnel two of my other teammates. ( the minute one was taken off hook she would go straight for the injured one) I had only been hit once, never hooked. I managed to do all but one gen when the time came and I was the last one alive. She immediately closed hatch and found me and one hit down me with NOED. Honestly I’m not the best player but even I knew she wasn’t that great, at least with Pig. It sucks that I did pretty amazing that match and got screwed over by a perk a lot of people use to get a free kill. It feels like my efforts were undetermined very cheaply by this perk. I’m not saying get rid of NOED but perhaps if there’s only one other survivor left then NOED shouldn’t activate. Like to me NOED is used as a last ditch effort when all the survivors are still alive endgame and the killer hasn’t gotten anyone.
If you're complaining about noed, but you were the last one, why the hell were all your teammates dead before the gate?! Sounds like they did not need noed at all in that case, what are you on about?

Honestly all of those are valid, more of a wraith guy myself tho I love the twins and going up against them

I'm really enjoying both roles in the game and I consider myself as an average player (surely not amongst the bests and not noob anymore : 1k hours). My goal when I start the game is to sit down and have a good time.
The last 2 months, I constantly face 1 or 2 red ranks as a rank 10-11 killer...
No need to wait until the game ends to see the ranks, when you play, you immediately feel the potential of survivors.
Experience learnt me to leave the strongest survivors in the early game. But even then, they know how to be efficient on gens, and I get my first hook when they already finished 2,5 gens (halve their objectives while I'm only at 1/12).
I set importance to improve my gameplay. But the fun factor is even more important to me. And I'm missing this the past weeks...
The same goes when I'm a survivor. When you face a killer with a much lower level as you, there is no fun. You don't feel the threat and the pressure. Although that's why we play this game, right ?
I mean matchmaking was never great and is certainly a complex issue to fix. But I feel the trend is worsening highly.
I am wondering if this feeling was also shared by others down here. Are there any concrete info from BHVR that they are adressing this issue ?
I mean...if people don't play killer, Ithey won't buy any new DLC...
i can't imagine they are letting this issue standing still for so long...
Or maybe I see things wrong and you're just supposed to have fun when you play survivors ?
This game was never fun it's just so goddamn addictive, what do you think we play this game being ecstatic no matter how bad we do in the match? Getta brain ya dimwit (sarcasm but sometimes this game is really unfun lol)
-
I honestly agree but with stupid desync there idm quitting dbd for a couple of weeks until they either
A) remove desync and go back to original hitboxes and animations
B) look into the issue and fix desync and make tiny changes to movement to suffice our suggestions
C) revert movement and change desync later
Other than that, I cannot be asked to sit through countless of hours getting hit from 8 meters away and getting hit through pallets.

I'm expecting most of the answers to say Legion or Spirit, if any of you choose them, allow Jeff and Adam to be kept as paragraphs, their perks are ok.
Anyway, I would delete Freddy because he's not my favourite
legion is so bad
even after his rework its hard to go up against him
also to people who say pyramid head he's easy to avoid.

Okay, one of the key things I think most players lack in lower ranks is knowing how many times can you loop a killer before needing to drop a pallet. Making the most of a single position is of utmost importance before having to go to another one, you need to do your best to make the killer lose as much time a possible without wasting resources throughout the map. With this you can get a good amount of boldness points while not being a weight for your teammates.
Another thing is getting objective points, if you want to get a good quantity of bloodpoints, you gotta do gens with teammates, doing co-op generators rewards you with an absurd amount of points in the objective category.
And finally, getting altruistic points, get your teammates out of the hook safely and heal them, pretty simple, just make sure the killer isn't around when doing both of those actions otherwise you gonna screw your teammate and yourself in the process.
Survival category is mostly just escaping the trial.
Earning points is the main focus to getting ranks, you need to at least get 7000 bloodpoints spread throughout at least 2 categories to get a safety pip and not lose ranks. So escaping should not be your focus during the match until you got a good amount of points. Depending on how much points you got during the match, you can get even 2 pips and rank up in only 3 matches if you keep doing well.
Thank you

So you learned every mechanical skill in the game and still can't get green rank?
This has to be a bait...
It's not a bait I swear to you my guy it's either I've gotten really unlucky or I have done something terribly wrong and I'm trying to find that something that's making me not as good as I use to be (the lowest I've gotten too was rank 13 then I just gave up) so rest assured and I said I know how to do them I have not mastered them
