  • I watched a man managed to save a pallet by looping it around 6 - 7 times, the killer was a blood lost 3, the guy deadhard through the pallet, gave it one more safety loop, then dropped the pallet to repeat the process. Why it's annoying is because it allows to survivor to have a "third health state." When played... right? I guess? You can pretty much out live most other people, sprint burst can be annoying, but you just got distance, where you're going is up to how the killer decides on how they want to engage if that makes sense. But deadhard is a free "oops, I messed up" perk where you can try again. Nothing special to activate it. Nothing specific. It's just a free redo, you just gotta slightly practice with it.. I guess. I've even seen people sharply turn a corner with it. It's definitely a strong free redo perk

DS got nerfed and now DH is the next target. After DH, they will most likely go for Sprint Burst (which is more annoying to face IMO, but whatever).

Last time DS got nerfed (when they added the Unhook-Requirement), Killers were mass-opening Threads to nerf Adrenaline (a Perk nobody talks about nowadays).

I still do to myself, I find it annoying that I plunged a giant hook through your sternum, while making you broken, then for you to just get off and be perfectly fine. I find it extremely annoying, but not enough to warrant a nerf. It's more like:

    "Great. Another mosquito."

Ah I got you now. I thought bypassing would mean a more active part from the swf players.

yeah, SWF is kinda breaking many things in the game, but without it the game would be dead within a few days..

Yeah, if they removed it, they would need to offer a huge compensation to at least make up for the decision. When I say huge, I mean huge

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2234114#Comment_2234114

Smurfing is a thing on both sides. Using an alt account or depipping on purpose.

you could say having different and therefore lower ranked survs in an SWF group can also be out of their control. And there are swfs that have that not intentional.

there are scummy players on both sides. And not only a few of those.

I'm talking about normally, swf by accident by passed each rework. This decision (still a good decision, I don't like it, but it's still a good decision) has broken through the walls Behavior has made, this is not taking into accounts of people purposely exploiting this, this just happens by accident.

What you said it true, people can depip and smurf, but through and through it was swf that unfortunately caused the most issues. Nothing against swf, but it caused a lot of issues. I hate going against them as killer, but saying they don't belong is a bad idea, an idea I used to have. I just wish... there was a way to balance it, you know?

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2234046#Comment_2234046

Well.. so will probably killer players, as they have before.

... how? You mean rank resets? That's out of their control

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2234026#Comment_2234026

They have repeatedly stated they are still working on the MMR system and it just isn’t ready yet..

I hate to sound like a nihilist, but I still feel like swf will still manage to bypass that system, it has happened in the past. Several times in fact, but maybe it'll be better. Hopefully.

  • @Orion said:

It's for MMR, because each killer (character) is going to have a different rank. Otherwise you'll be facing the equivalent of good red rank survivors while trying to learn a new killer.

Oh. My bad, I take back my confused complaint then. Would this also happen to affect survivors as well?

  • @BioX said:

Not to be a downer but using monitor and abuse on deathslinger is about as basic as it gets, sure you go even further but I have never been a fan of min maxing.

To answer your question though Idk I like trying to make every perk work so I don't consider anything weird

He has two addons that help assist in reducing his terror radius when you look down.

If I remember correctly, Whiskey (the purple addon) drops it down by 8 meters, same as monitor

Then the Sheriff badge reduces it by 4 meters

It's like having an on command terror radius shut off, sure there are perks that can do the exact same as well, but it's fun

  • @DwarvenTavern said:

So, I was reading my other post about Blood Favor and I just had a thought. What if Cruel Limits affect the 32 meters around the killer instead of the completed gen?

    What's your thoughts on that?

Wait, why was my post edited? Isn't that exactly what I typed? I'm confused haha

  • @bibibib8 said:

No reason to use blood favor this perk help survivor the number of time a survivor drop a pallet right after they got hit is insane so why would you help a survivor keeping his resourced

I'd rather trade and block pallets around that pallet, sure they save the others, but they're stuck out in the open. Hopefully

  • @[Deleted User] said:

a survivor will simply hold W. blood favor is abysmal.

i think making it a non hex perk will actually nerf it because, as a hex perk, at least it can be an extra totem to break when survivors are looking for another hex totem like ruin.

Don't hexes take over dull totems?

I could be wrong, but if Hexes take over dull totems than it doesn't necessarily seem to be an extra totem to do, since some survivors are always skeptical of the idea of them running into NOED. At least this killer dry spell I've been having for some unknown reason has been happening to me. I run into a swf team who gets gens done way to fast and my totems always disappear.

As for holding W, I get that, but at least I can combo that with stbfl and get more bang for my buck, shut down killer shack or pig tree.

  • @glitchboi said:

Considering it only works if you M1 survivors, definitely not too strong. Even if it affected special attacks it would still be a weak perk. However, it needs to be a hex perk because Blight needs a perk to synchronize his Undying with.

I get what you mean, but Undying is already a good Hex idea on its own, having Blood favor as a partner hex just seems weird. But, yeah. I get what you mean.. shame really

person with the vaccine runs to get the save to inject it into the hooked survivor

there is a zombie at the hook

unhooker goes down because those zombies are unusually good at camping and Nemesis was there too

now the vaccine is on the floor by the hook with a zombie there as well

This sounds extremely specific, like it happened. I feel bad for the survivor

  • Yikes. That's kinda a scary to think about. You run to get the vaccine, but you drop it. But, now it's just covered in zombies. I know that's unlikely, but the thought intrigues me

  • I want Sheriff Deathslinger. It'd be him in suspenders with a bit of a gut, not overweight, but just him not being as active as much. With the iconic Sheriff badge

  • Dear God get that off my screen. Lol!

I really hope they don't nerd Nemesis! He seems like a great killer once you get the hang of his ranged

I agree whole heartedly. I think he's pretty balanced

  • Originally it was The Pig, Saw was my favorite horror franchise at the time. Then I picked up Texas Chainsaw Massacre, never looked back until Nemesis haha

There's been a lot of feedback with regards to the different flags that there could be, we have taken this feedback back to the team so they are aware that people really want more representation as well.

@Majestic_Herman I hope that things continue to improve for your sister and I think your story perfectly sums up how important representation is.

    Thank You

I'd love, if one step at a time, we got more flags for representation. The trans flag would be a great addition to dbd and I hope they do make it soon, although I wouldnt rush them on it as we're making steps in the right direction. There is a certain one I'd like myself, although I'm not too open on it and I'm not sure if most people would recognise it and the flag (Unlike the LGBTQ+ flag and the Trans Flag).

Also I'm glad you support your sister and she deserves all the support in the world and I'm glad some of your family also reacted well to it ^^

Yeah haha. I don't mean to rush them, I was just hoping for some.. feedback. But, yeah. One step at a time.

Thank you, and she thanks you all as well

  • @VioletCrimes said:

Thank you for supporting your sister. I’d love a trans flag. There are definitely trans players, including me.

A lot of people deserve something positive, show everyone that we do care haha. I'm not trans, but for all killers and survivors I have a list of specific charms I use. They're favorite charms which had some story behind them. I would use the trans one for my sister, I wouldn't take it off. She's had it rough. A lot of people did.

  • I personally dissociated myself from more of a major community. I lurk here and there, maybe make a post or a comment. But, I've enjoyed it more. When I first joined dbd, I was happy and naive. But, the community just beat the heck (cringe lol, but trying to limit my swearing.) out of me. "You're scum, toxic." "NOED?! God you're trash!" "Dead hard is OP" stuff like that was the norm for me for awhile. I'm still fairly "new" I joined what feels like two maybe three years in the forums, but I was exposed to this stuff long before. One time I had someone wish that my mother would die of cancer because they stepped on a bear trap I set at a gate.

What I did was just limit myself and try to be positive while being as neutral as possible. I love a non-aggressive community and I feel bad that I was one of them once, but now I'm trying to be the good members haha. Sometimes I even show it in games I go against with streamers. But, anytime I get hate, I just tell them to relax. "It's a game, we have good days and bad days." But, if they're particularly nasty, I just send a random meme and move on. Having a mainly pvp game does that, it's not just Dead By Daylight

Edit: When I said one of them, I don't mean I was homophobic or racist. Dear God no. I was just.. bitchy. I also want to reiterate that I'm not defending it or trying to make a joke or ignore it. I'm just tired of people, if they want to complain and say awful hurtful things, then Karma will bite them. I will report it, I will get evidence to help them get what they deserve. But what the hell happened? What caused this huge surge of entitlement? We're trying to take one step forward at a time, yet some people get lost and move five steps back.

  • @VioletCrimes said:

I would actually like a “Haunting Ground” chapter with Daniella as the killer.

Whoa. Blast from the past, I haven't heard of that game in years. Kinda of a bummer now that I remember it, but I would not object to this license as well, knowing Capcom they'd probably be in high favors for more crossovers. They're not as stingy and they know a good marketing deal when they see one haha

  • @Marik13 said:

Yooo that would actually be a kinda fun ability. Maybe limit it to like once per game or something? Or that he has to be injured and out of the terror radius to activate it and can't activate if he's already holding something? Yeah I like this, and I don't even play survivor, I'm a killer main lol.

With Leon and Jill's perks, I imagine the sky's the limit as long as it isn't over powered haha. Like, maybe he would grab an old Polaroid Camera, it's like a flash bomb, but you can aim it. But, you gotta be crazy and essentially stalk the killer to boost this perk to activate it. I'm a killer main too, but I love gimmick perks haha

  • Frank freaking West in dbd? I actually am in favor with this concept. I'm just imagining a perk where if he uses "the activate ability button" by a locker, he'd pull out a random item similar to a chest, but has half the charges

  • This is gonna sound kinda crappy, but a decent buff for it would be to allow you to recover from permanent effects. Let's use sloppy butcher for example, normally you can't until you heal. So, letting this perk allow you to recover from permanent conditions as well would be nice. EXCEPT exhaustion for obvious reasons. It would take awhile, but slightly faster than trying to endure through the healing with Selfcare if that makes sense. Now, this could seem to be very powerful, which is fair. I'm just spit balling here

  • @Blueberry said:

He's generally fine, the issue is the zombies being too weak on most maps. They're supposed to be his pseudo map pressure which they fail at on larger maps.

Is he the best PTB state killer we've had in a long time? Yes

Does that mean he's good where he's at? No

Most PTB state killers were just in literally embarrassing states, so when we say he's the best PTB state killer we've had in a long time it's all relative.

He needs more zombies based on the map size and addons to add zombies. Unfortunately they've already said he's not getting it.

I absolutely agree. Also, I find it so jarring talking about zombies in dead by daylight. Like, what the hell lol. I mean that in a good way. But yeah, I think his tentacle is good right now, definitely some hitbox tweaks and maybe ever so slightly more range. Not a whole lot, but just enough. Would.. 12 be acceptable?

Now for Zombies, yeah a few more sprinkled into the match would be awesome. Or if this makes sense, make them slightly faster in the base kit. I don't know what their movement is at the moment, so I don't want to pull a random number out of my rear end and call it a day. But, at least that's what I'm thinking. They need more movement or something

  • Depends. In game or real life? Lmfao!

In game, I'd say Deathslinger, Huntress is fun, but Deathslinger seems to add a bit of hopelessness when he reels you closer to him. I enjoy it a lot.

Now in real life? Huntress. She's accurate, she'd most likely try to aim for the head so here's hoping it'll be a quick death compared to being almost eviscerated by Deathslinger

  • I'll be personally recording my own matches for now on just to be safe haha

Nah, I get the fear. Totem perks are already pretty RNG based whether or not you get value from them, so I get the general concern about totem health after it's added.

That said, if it's any comfort, as a frequent Small Game user (almost all of my games), I assure you that I find and destroy your hex totems immediately anyway. If I used this new totem perk in addition to small game, it would only save this amount of time:

    • First cleanse: 2.3 seconds
    • Second cleanse: 4 seconds
    • Third cleanse: 5.3 seconds
    • Fourth cleanse: 6.2 seconds
    • Fifth cleanse: 7 seconds

In total, that's a potential 25 seconds saved on totem cleansing if I use both Small Game and... whatever this new perk was called. That isn't bad, but it's also the maximum effect you can get in a match and goes down every time someone else cleanses a totem. If the first totem I cleanse is your totem perk (ruin/devour), then I'm only realistically saving 2.3 seconds worth of time. That's only actually relevant if you're hard camping that totem, but then you lose pressure on generators and have other problems.

I can also assure you that when there's a totem perk in play, I'm gunning it down instead of wasting time to cleanse each dull totem on the way.

    ---

    Edit:

Although theoretically, if I did use both totem perks for this, I'd probably actually justify cleansing each dull totem I found before the hex totem just so I could cleanse it faster when I found it. But at that point I'm wasting more time cleansing other totems than I'm saving cleansing the main totem itself, which kinda balances itself out I'd think.

Yeah, that does make sense. What I'm imagining is a runner, two gen users, and a totem/gen user. This totem hunter cleanses like a machine then does gens. It seems scary, but. It's all chance, so I guess it makes it okay, but until I experience it myself I will be scared haha

  • @DawnMad said:

It doesn't work on generators hit with Surge fyi. You need to manually kick the generator to mark it.

Darn it. I can't cosplay as a literal walking bomb to all gens then. Joking aside, I think that's fair haha

  • @Beaburd said:

The new totem perk, while nice, won't kill off totems more than Small Game will. It's just a new perk to do the same thing.

You can argue that it increases totem cleansing speeds, and shows the aura of the furthest totem to promote clearing. But you have to remember that you still need to go through the following steps to make use of it:

    • Step 1: find that first totem (time waste)
    • Step 2: run across the map for the next totem (time waste)
    • Step 3: look in the general area where you saw the totem from across the map to actually find it (time waste).

This is all assuming that no one cleanses the totem you see either, in which case you still waste time on step 2/3 before realizing it's gone and going back to step 1.

The amount of additional time wasted to use this perk should offset the improved cleansing speed it provides.

    ---

In contrast, Small Game is much easier to use.

Every map has totems spawn in different quadrants of the map. Simply go to each quadrant in sequence, and use the indicator to find it - done. You also know when some/all totems are cleansed, and when each quadrant is cleared.

Honestly, just run both. That's what scares me. (Killer main fear post) I Honestly think that perk is the strongest out of the whole bunch, even Leon's healing perk doesn't seem to strike as OP compared to this. Now, I could be 100% wrong and reading it on paper makes it scary compared to practicality. But, it just seems like combining the two perks with a swf completely nulls a mechanic for killers. Grant it, I'm not able to play the PTB, but from what I experienced in red ranks and the likes, it definitely seems like that combo can shut off things completely. Either that or Detective's Hunch with super totem cleanser. Apologies if this seems like a rant, it's not supposed to be. But, to me that's the only thing that seems pretty worrisome.

  • Hmm. I play a lot of killer, more killer than survivor, but I don't necessarily think that's a buff to survivors. I could be wrong, I don't have the PTB. It seems like something to offer more support to range killers or Blight. Or makes the wall slightly more difficult to run since you can't just dodge left or right anymore. Again. I don't know, I don't have the PTB.

  • I won't be satisfied until they buff it. I want it to the point where if you get four hooks and you kick a gen the whole map will just blow up

  • It makes things fun an engaging haha, but they gotta let a killer have some control over their power as well. It'd suck having a killer who gets stronger from survivors, but can also be cucked by survivors as well. Like Plague, but allowing her to use her corrupt purge right away is a nice touch

  • @DontNerf said:

Personally i think he could do with an extra few feet for his tentacles and one extra zombie. Other than that he's pretty damn good.

Isn't it capable of attack over some obstacles? It kinda feels like punishment of the damned or am I wrong?

  • @Northener1907 said:

I tried him today 5 - 6 matches. I think he is good killer, not op but strong. He has good counterplay and if you feed him with infects, he gets so much powers. So he can be op in game but only if survivors feeds him.

As of any killer who uses power upside. Like Myers or Plague haha, I do kinda like the gimmick of survivors making the killer stronger

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    He feels solid.

His attack feels good to use, and it requires accuracy. Not as much accuracy as a Deathslinger. It's like a combination of Punishment of the Damned and Huntresses hatchets. The range is pretty short outside of tier 3 mutation so you have to be fairly close to the survivor. Even in T3 it's still not that long, but it's better. Breaking walls and pallets with it feels great and tends to make survivors quickly decide on the fly what way to run.

The zombies aren't that strong, but the utility they offer is neat, and thematically, they add a ton of character to Nemesis and the match as a whole, they are freaky and cool to see. They are certainly stronger on indoor maps but they are decent for tracking survivors and building your mutation up by killing them passively over the course of the match.

Playing against him feels fine, strong, but not too strong to the point where I feel totally helpless. He is very good at short wall loops but outside of that, he needs moderate accuracy and timing to land whip attacks. If you don't get hit by zombies, it takes him three tentacle hits to fully down you. So, unless you're infected, he's similar to Demogorgon and his Shred. If the survivor is infected, he's a better Demo IMO. He is basically a better Plague.

That's fair, would you say that he himself needs a slight few minor tweaks such as animation and Zombie AI or something?

  • I would love a smiling Michael Myers mask, but I understand that ain't gonna happen thanks to copyright hell, yikes haha

  • Ethan Winters as Survivor

As for Killer, call me crazy, but Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7

As for Killer I hate the most, Trickster. Also I'm rank 7 so I assume I still have to get a merciless?

  • @cobalt22 said:

i was thinking injuring the survivor and disabling them to repair, heal, cleanse and sabotage.

Same, but Twins do the same

  • I'd like them to have their dog drag injured survivors towards the killer. Like the twins, but they don't hold a survivor, but they can drag dying survivors or sniff them out leaving a cloud trail. Something interesting

  • I'd say Legion, but besides that... I don't think anyone. Maybe Trickster. Or Myers. I dunno about Myers though. Everyone else feels fine, maybe an ever so slight tweak.

  • Originally it effected some killer's powers making them faster. Some killers, at the time it allowed Huntress, Hillbilly, and Leatherface to use their power faster. You can see how niche it was. I actually much prefer this current version, plus it seemed to affect a lot of killers. More mobility killers get the most bang for their buck, but it's still good on anyone. Jump scare Leatherface is my favorite build and it uses Tinkerer. Heck, if you want to sacrifice a gen, you can go somewhere else to cause the most destruction.
