  • Blight is like the opposite of boring. I have no idea what half of you are talking about. Fun must be just facing bad killers that require no extra thought or skill on the survivor side. I wish I faced more Blights. Yeah most of them run the pinnacle Blight build but thats not really a big deal when I run 4 good perks as survivor every game. You get Ruin and Undying and its pretty much gg with 1 or 2 good chases against him. As a Blight main, I understand what hits he can hit and cant. Thats the first part of countering him, play him yourself. Blight is probably the most skillful killer you can play, at a high level that is.

  • As survivor it will be great to have good teammates in solo. As killer it will be tough facing teams with no weak link but it should give them better stats to better balance high end gameplay. Then again, if you're a high MMR survivor, wont you only be facing spirit, nurse, blight, etc? That would get old. I only think it could work if theres a cap to your MMR so anyone who is good and has an understanding of the game can all match together not just the 1% of good players. Matchmaking times is worrisome as well. Guess we will see. As of right now i get quite a mix of skill levels when I play either side. Overall not a fan of MMR in any game unless it is a ranked comp mode.

  • Honestly i think they are all fine. Its nice that a killer can have good useful add ons that arent some niche garbage. More killers should have good add ons like wraith.

  • Honestly I think it would fit very well. I'm confident the devs could figure out some interesting power for Springtrap. Don't understand why people get so upset over the topic. Like we have Trickster. They can put in anything at that point. Guess we will see in like 2 weeks!

I still think it's too early to be thinking about this.

The PTB supposedly comes out August 17th so not too early really.

  • Honestly I think he is fine as is. An add on pass would be nice but him being the only stealth ranged killer is a cool niche he fills so imo a lullaby would just take away something that makes him unique. You can remove spam ads without having some gross cooldown thing that would feel bad to play, similar to the Twins nerf that makes them feel clunky. Overall i think he is just fine as is other than add ons.

  • Youd think its a bad thing but once you know what objects you can and cant collide with it lets you get some very nice hits and maneuvers around all those objects that have no collision. Ormond is one of my favorite maps as Blight.

  • People run those builds to help them have a better chance to beat top tier survivor teams. And blight doesnt really need detection perks or chase perks. So besides Shadowborn for the nice feeling FOV you are extremely likely to see Lethal Pursuer, Corrupt, Pop, Ruin, Undying, and BBQ as well. Good perks that give you more time against the teams you need the extra time with. Why would anyone put on perks that dont really do much? Can we stop making weekly posts on "Blights run strong build, whine and complain" and you keep saying Blight doesnt need the META regression perks. What a pointless statement. Survivors dont need any perks at all and can mop the floor with 97% of killers through positioning and good teamwork. Just as Blight can win with good rushes and decisions. But perks in both cases help a lot. There's a reason most good loopers bring dead hard. They dont need dead hard it just helps solidify what they are good at doing. People need to accept that killers and survivors are going to run whatever perks they want and if they want to win they will bring META.

How Creative Assembly is not big? I mean yes, they are not big but Sega is pretty big company. And Sega has Creative Assembly.

Thats true I forgot that SEGA had them. Dont kill my hopes and dreams! 😂

  • The only Blight complaints I see are that a lot of players only see his strongest build which is; Ruin, Undying, BBQ, Tinkerer. Survivors want variety on Blight but he lacks majorly with perk synergy. Since most of your hits will be an M2 it cuts the perks that make sense on him down by a massive amount. Survivors bring their best perks every game, so I dont see how we can't expect a killer to do the same for whatever killer they are playing as. As for Blight himself, I think he is mostly liked. Not a very common killer and with his high skill cap the odds of running into an insane blight is slim. To me, he is the best killer they have ever made as far as being fun to play and rewarding to put time into learning. As survivor, he is also my favorite killer to go against because the chases are very interactive.

Since the license is owned by Disney, it’s probably rather a matter of ‚how much money?‘ rather than ‚when?‘

hopefully Alien will be the 6th anniversary chapter. That or F13 seem like the biggest contenders!

Yeah but seeing how say Creative Assembly was able to get the license for Alien Isolation and I believe they are smaller than BHVR. Fortnite is a massive game but they were able to snag the license so this at least says they do give out the license. Its not entirely out of the realm of possibility. It would be the largest license to date if it happens. Alien is a big name.

  • Give me an Alien chapter with Ellen Ripley as survivor. Alien is incredibly iconic I think its just a matter of "when?" They could do some interesting new gameplay with crawling on surfaces and a killer having a tail.

  • I dont mind not getting the hit anymore but please fix the hit noise so it doesnt occur if the hit is rejected. So weird to hear a hit and scream and then seeing them running away. Fix the hit noise and its all good.

  • I was just about to say Coulrophobia too Haha! I have been using Shadowborn, Coulrophobia, Nurses, and BBQ on Blight. I actually get value from Coulrophobia. And nurses is just there so i can see someone being punished by Coulrophobia. Its funny. But seriously ive had people try to pick up a slug or something when im near and it takes forever with Coulrophobia its great.

  • Trickster, Blight, and Billy. I usually do very well with on Hadonfield.

  • give me the Xenomorph, an ambush stealth killer. This is my dream chapter. I do think with it being such a massive license it would be the 6 anniversary chapter or something. Other than that, original chapter maybe a trap killer or something new entirely, Flying?

  • Yeah ive ran into 5 cheaters this past week. Speed hacks, instant heals so you can never down them. Stuns that last 2 minutes. I usually just dc the moment i realize its a cheater. Which isnt bad right now because of the no penalties. They really need to crack down on the hackers.

I just feel like he would fit so well into the world and could have some cool powers.

Agreed you could even have pumpkinhead link to a survivor like he does in the films, maybe some more obsession related things. Plus he is scary looking and we need more creatures like demo to be honest.

  • I think his add ons are fine as is and more killers should have good Iris and purples that arent just straight up garbage. Wraith has some of the best add ons because they are all almost useful. This should be the regular for all killers. Too many have trash add ons. Let's have a talk about what we could do to make add ons better for everyone. Some of the suggestions in here would completely make the add ons useless. Add ons with downsides are usually bad and forgotten. The thing is if you give killers more good add ons you will see more variety. And at the end of the day thats what we all want to see.

  • I dont know what kind of killers you guys are facing. I play this game quite a lot and have never seen this happen before. I think the bigger issue regarding dc penalties is the sheer amount of survivors that dc nearly every game with penalties off. Its insane. It basically ruins the game for the other survivors.

  • Ahh the monthly Wexler Blight perk complaining post 😃

  • People bringing meta because people want to win. Thats all. Dont get mad because someone brought the build that gives them the best shot. Survivors do it too. Some perks synergize so well with a killers power that youre just putting yourself at a disadvantage not bringing them. Like infectious on Oni. Its insanely good. Any Oni that is trying to win will have Infectious most likely. Just like every survivor runs 2-4 meta perks every game. Yeah it sucks to see the same build all the time but its the best. And you can thank all the survivor sweat squads for killers running full meta, you try to have a meme build and its full meta survivors with 5 minute all gens done. This is why killers bring so much regression.

I agree but I just think it’s a bit much. Imagine if clown had an add on that automatically reloaded his bottles if he got a direct hit. Sounds kinda strong right?

I mean clown has the pinky finger which is pretty damn strong but i dont really want it changed. Alchemist ring is kinda the same to me. Its obviously strong as hell. Which is why i think it should be iri. But id like it to remain as is.

Speed, turn rate, miss Cooldown, Iri tag and compound 21 are all very good add ons

Turn rate is horrible. Alchemist ring is good, i wouldnt mind it being moved go iri but i think its fine as is. Its not a bad thing that a killer can have a strong add on.

  • Part of the game is killers being able to cut off survivors to catch up faster. With all these long corridors with no cut offs you have to literally w key only and thats awful map design.

  • Xenomorph, that is all! Dream chapter!

Red ranks. Most common perks are exhaustion and altruistic perks. DS/Unbreakable very rare, and IW isn’t in every game for sure

The chance of Iron will being present if its decent survivors is pretty high. Nearly every match there is Iron Will. And the DS Unbreakable combo isnt as prevalent but seeing the perks in the team is common. If killers have to deal with all the perks survivors bring to win i dont see why its an issue if the killer wants to run his best perks to try to win. He has little to no synergy with other perks which doesnt help for build variety either you can thank most perks requiring an M1 to do anything for that issue.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2331240#Comment_2331240

Hardly anyone uses that build, I might see it a couple times in 10 games at most, genuinely

I dont know what rank you're playing at but its completely normal in red ranks to see these perks. Maybe 1 or 2 different perks instead of full meta because challenges or whatever but most survivors typically bring full meta loadouts because well, they want to win. The build for Blight youre complaining about is just that, his best build and the player probably wants the best chance to win. Good blights will deviate from the full meta build because once you get good with Blight you realize he doesnt need it all.

  • Swap the all-seeings. Its strong but isnt that the point of ultra rares? Too many killers have trash iris or super situational ones. Its strong and worth the add on i just think it should be iri

  • People are trippin. These changes are going to make him so lethal its going to be nuts. 12 blades to down and main event extension with add ons. You guys will see.

  • For skilled killers MMR is going to be horrible. 5 minute games arent really that fun and unless you're playing a killer that ignores the boundaries of the game there really isnt much you can do against a team of skilled survivors. We will see what happens. If it helps them balance the game for higher play then maybe its a good thing in the long run but who knows how many years it'll take them to fix it.

BHVR: We heard you and we will make changes to Noed and Dead Hard.

We will nerf Noed to the ground first since its just a number change.

We will however work on ideas how to change Dead Hard in upcoming 2 to 3 years.

    GG EZ

    Honestly sounds on point 🤣

  • I agree that dead hard is very strong in the fact that it erases mistakes and adds distance at the touch of a button, rendering a good mind game useless. As a killer its not uncommon to have to deal with this perk several times a match. It can be very frustrating to see all the times you would get a hit but nope dead hard to window or pallet. I think the game would be healthier without it. Same goes for NOED. It can be frustrating to have it happen to you and yeah you can do bones but that doesnt mean it's healthy for the game. Just like old ruin wasnt very "fun" but could be cleansed. The game would be healthier without it. Sprint burst is probably better than Dead Hard but I dont see it as being as problematic.

  • In my experience, Twins for sure. As soon as you start getting downs with Victor the dcs flow.

I played him yesterday, both of these statements are not true. You can turn and you can cancel Main event.

    Oof

  • I mean honestly I just want them to focus on making the game better performance wise and hopefully start adding more horror genres to the game. The game is already pretty diverse and I dont think that should be their main focus at the moment.

  • In the past month probably like 3 Tricksters total. Not many and they were all not very good. Hopefully he sees some buffs in the Mid Chapter. Shame if not.

  • I think it all stems from the 4 v 1 so you have the majority being the survivor playerbase so their complaints are usually louder then killers. There's a lot of double standards in this game or entitlement. Plus since its two different roles its hard for each side to see eye to eye if you dont play both roles. For one side to have "fun" the other side has to not have "fun". I would also say that killer players are usually more fortified people and dont get bent out of shape as easily. Pretty much all of my friends have tried killer and give up on it because of stress and being beaten and bullied by survivors. I imagine thats the case for a lot of people. Granted this also helps keep the rolls 4 to 1 ratio and maybe thats the point haha but its vicious. Like people say getting tunneled isnt fun well yeah youre right it isnt. But having every safe pallet dropped and losing gens in the process isnt fun either. Both sides just dont see eye to eye, its a shame really. Though I personally go for as many hooks as i can if the survivors mess up and find themselves all down in a snowball, dont be mad at me.

Hitting survivors on hook doesn't do anything (they don't die faster), so when a killer does it most of the time it's just to "humilliate" the hooked person.

Yeah honestly its the same as tbagging. But there are people who bag and then get upset when you hit them on hook. Its the same.

  • I only prestige killers that dont have good skins in the store or their bloody skins look amazing. So Freddy, Michael Myers, Deathslinger (dont like cosmetics, P3 looks good), Nemesis, Trapper(P3 looks good, dont like skins), Pyramid Head(P3 looks amazing)

  • Honestly id give him 3 traps maximum but they regenerate with time but at a maximum of like 9 traps total in play? Not sure about total. But once he has them all set he then has to pick them up and they no longer regen. But you could never hold more than 3. This would help so you dont have to walk to the middle of nowhere but also limits his held traps for balance. He could also use some add on reworks.

  • @Alec1055 said:

Let's face it, the high payment for prestige isn't that good for just some bloody base clothes. So you should make prestige a thing you can put on any pair of clothes. You already did it with the T-virus and you're remaking all the clothes with the model reworks so just put an option, it'd be nice and make a wide range of new customizable options that you can even do on linked sets!

That would be so cool. Even if they say yes it would be a year before we get it in game xD

  • Honestly another trap killer or stealth killer. Its been a minute soo lets get the xenomorph as the next stealth killer. One can dream.

  • Whats kinda crazy/disappointing is they said they were going to focus on halloween and anniversary for big events and its basically the same thing as last year....like what

  • @Pilot said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2305768#Comment_2305768

Most of the Deathslinger I've faced use Monitor and for good reason.. Not to mention STBL

Yesterday I've faced 4 and honestly think I've had of enough of DBD for the remainder of the week. All with monitor... Also, a couple of them loved Tinkerer.

With monitor I can only hear his Terror Radius once he's aimed his gun at my rear end. Sometimes, I can feel the harpoon before I feel him approaching. Killers, if u wonder why some people use spine chill.... just remember... Deathslinger with Monitor & Abuse exists... At least, this is one of the reasons.

I honestly rarely go against Slinger. Mostly Huntress. I get that he can be very frustrating when he just shoots you and your distance on him doesnt matter if he hits the shot and can pull you in but thats literally all he has in his kit. Lethal but completely lacking in 4v1 and map pressure. For those reasons I dont really mind facing him. I bait him to miss a few times and get a decent chase and that can win the game vs him.

  • Yeah actually Deathslinger is one of my favorite killers to face, honestly.

  • Honestly remove the invincibility frames from dead hard boom fixed. The most effective way to use dead hard is for distance or to make a swing miss. Neither of those instances will be affected by removing the i frames. Only the annoying/weird ones like dead harding traps/point blank dead hards at windows and pallets. Dead harding hatchets and things while they just pierce through you. Ultimately the perk would stay the same but remove the bs. Just like the DS nerf did.

  • Honestly with how insane the grind is just raise the caps up in everything. I do think killer should always give more bp though because it is more stressful and gives people incentive to play the role.

  • All the game needs is more reasonable map size and loops should be more balanced and mind gameable. TL walls are pretty much my favorite loop in the game on either side. Theres nothing interesting about crazy safe loops with no mindgame where it is run around this 2-3 times and then drop the pallet and the killer has to break it because it makes the loop insanely strong/safe then run to the next loop and rinse repeat. Its a tough balance when the survivor can just drop every pallet and W key which wastes so much time that the gens just fly. Id rather have a game where both sides can show skill not just crazy strong loops that have no counterplay. I think the devs are content with the game tho as they still haven't said a word on the topic nor shown us that "idea" they had for early game. What was that like a year and half ago?

  • He played 2 games i believe and won both and then sat in queue for 2 hours and a comp team that was in his chat had to queue up to get a match, which they brought everything to counter twins so he lost yes. Twins are definitely strong. Just not in the sense of the other strong killers.
