The latest update seemed to have nerfed trickster a bit.
Previously Trickster had a 24-32m lullaby and it was subtle enough to blend into his TR
But after 5.0.0 this was changed to an 8-40m lullaby and it's louder than previously.
Now I don't know why they nerfed trickster and I don't know why a ranged killer with an ability to down in 16 hits has a lullaby when deathslinger doesn't have one.

Huntress, Freddy, even Deathslinger have distinct cues. Why is Trickster's so vague?
Upcoming trickster changes:
After throwing three knives in a row the trickster's arm cramps up, forcing a 180 second cooldown on throwing knives
Lullaby volume increased
Knives can no longer put survivors into the dying state but apply deep wound
Laceration decays after 1 second of not being hit with a knife
While reloading there is a 50% chance that the trickster will mess up, inflicting deep wound to himself in the process
We believe these changes will balance the trickster

Also he can no longer turn while in main event and it cannot be stopped anymore
huntress freddy and deathslinger are also significantly stronger too lol
I played him yesterday, both of these statements are not true. You can turn and you can cancel Main event.

yeah Trickster was overperforming so he had to be tuned down.
cant wait for the overheat mechanic where his hands get tired when you hold up a knife for too long, causing him to curl up in a ball and cry for two and a half minutes.

his trickblades use to deal double damage when they bounce in PTB, they removed that lol
the man just cant catch a break.
even the buffs he got failed to address any of his main issues...
meanwhile nemesis was like what 2 months later or less

What an absolute joke, as if the weakest killer in the game needed any more handicaps. The blatant incompetence from the balanceteam is truly something to behold.

I thought about it but there are some areas where he does well where most struggle. Like holding W. Although bottom of C tier. For those niche situations. F tier is reserved for Trapper, Myers, and Legion in that order
F tier is for killers that are absolutely not viable, broken and terrible.
Trickster on release was F tier.
Now he's borderline D-F tier.
My tier list is S,A,B,C,F tier.

Yeah I don't know why they did that. I get that it wasn't working quite right the way it was... and the fact that running M&A on him made a dead zone between his Lullaby and TR, kind of negating its existence was super wonky... but still. He really didn't need a nerf.
Huntress having a lullaby makes sense her hatches can move a healthstate by 1 hit and with iri head they can just straight up down someone at long distances.
good luck downing someone with 16 knives at long distance with trickster. Never will happen unless the survivor was standing still and even then it's hard because the recoil sucks

they rigged his RNG making it easier to get out of bear traps now.

That's fair, I didn't read the post you had quoted, mainly because I don't care for joke patch notes, they serve no purpose.
Ranged killers have lullabies and such to warn you that they're in range, even if they're not particularly close yet; except freddy who just has it to replace his TR when asleep.
but it's also for balance reasons because tinkerer + freddy would be OP if he didn't have a lullaby.
and huntress would be OP if she didn't have a lullaby.
But trickster? No reason.
Deathslinger doesn't even have a lullaby

Trickster is one of the strongest killers right now LOL. he only needs to hit you with 16 knives and you are done.

The boggest trickster were the dbd chumps who paid for him. Thats not fair admitadly his teachable are actually pretty good. But triclster is a joke s0 many simple changes like base line richochet reduced knives to injure/down to 6. Bank main event like myers tier 3. Any of these ideas could have given him a purpose now it looks like he'll need a fill scale freddy rework. Alongside the twins ofc.
In my tier list of S,A,B,C,F tier against survivors who know the basic of killer countering they're the worst in my opinion.
