  • My favorite build on him when I'm just having fun practicing is Shadowborn, Pop, Infectious, and BBQ for the bp. This build does well versus most teams but very good teams can just rush gens out. However, the reason that the ruin/undying/tinkerer build is so often seen is because it has really good synergy with his power and can help when facing the absolute best teams to be competitive. It is his best build. It is most definitely overkill versus normal teams though. Same reason you see so much Dead Hard, Iron Will, Borrowed, Unbreakable, etc. Those are just the best perks to use if you want to win. A lot of variety is killed for most killers because of basic attack constrictions. Blight wont really use anything that requires a basic hit which is a lot of perks. For example, Devour makes sense on Wraith because every hit is a basic attack and can use Devour. Doesnt make as much sense on Blight when you are mainly using Lethal Rushes to get hits.

  • Very weird i never have to change my settings they dont reset. Im on steam

Because she has to get the hatchet out? Oh look a tentacle, he´s ready do use his m2!

Yeah i agree Nemesis is very easy to predict, pretty much the same as huntress they both make noises when they pull out their ability and move extremely slow

It’s funny how during the PTB, most killer mains on here talked about how good it was to have a new decently strong killer after Trickster. But as soon as he’s been released, a huge amount of people on here are saying he’s bottom tier, without even trying to take some time to learn how to play him.

It’s honestly hilarious to see the 180 that has happened on here. The speed boost he gives upon contamination is extremely minor, as he is very strong in a majority of the loops in the game. He has anti-loop, game slowdown with the vaccine (not a lot, but it also gives him info when a survivor collects a vaccine), zombies that slow down gens and bodyblock for him, etc. He has a lot going for him, and to think you can master him in a day is extremely entitled. His power is very strong, and he has downsides like a balanced killer should have.

Also, you only need to hit survivor’s three times a maximum of four times a game, as the vaccines are limited. He is a B tier killer, and one of the most balanced released in a long time.

Your math is a little off on the 3 hits. There is 4 vaccines so you have to give survivors 8 speed boosts to loops or be an M1. I agree he is B tier but to think his power is strong enough to warrant 8 extra health states for survivors is nuts.

I get lag out the ass when I play on the new map. Choppier than a PowerPoint presentation. PC by the way, so you can't just blame it on console optimization.

I have been choppy while playing nemesis in both matches i played on dead dawg and swamp. On pc with no frame drops just massive stuttering and chopping

  • On pc with good specs getting 120 frames but halfway through the match i just start stuttering with no frame drops not sure what is happening. Happens while playing Nemesis. This did not happen last night.

To be honest, some of demogorgon's addons were a bit overtuned. I think he'll be in a good place now.

And why do people say franklin got a nerf? Isn't it a buff? Except for key.

Its a nerf because it used to delete the items but also could be seen as a buff becuase if they do pick up the tiem before it would have been deleted it now has way less charges so its kinda both

All facing better players did for me is teach me how to be a better survivor. it does nothing on killer because there is literal skill walls that you can't surpass.

Very true, unless you are playing a killer that has a high skill ceiling. But honestly nobody wants to sweat every game and if thats what this system creates thats going to hurt the playerbase. Especially when they make tomes like "sacrifice all 4 survivors in the basement in one trial" that is not going to happen vs good survivors. The matchmaking is fine as is just protect the noobs more.

  • I have yet to see a game where SBMM was a good thing. Especially in a game with such unbalanced sides that are completely different roles entirely. It will kill diversity as well. Its fun to face different killers and different skill levels. At high levels it will be the same stuff all the time. I dont really have any issues with the matchmaking now, as long as queue times are fast, which is what matter most to me. You have your good and easy games and you have your hard and bad games. Its all by random chance not some system deliberately making it hard or easy for you. And one of the best things in a multiplayer game is putting the time and effort to get good so you start winning more than losing. Because you become better than the average. It is something that can be seen as you can observe yourself winning more and outplaying people you would have no chance of doing before. SBMM removes this feeling as every game will be hard and since there is a hidden rating you dont even see your progress or how good you actually are as a player. And facing better players is what helps you get better. If you only face similar skill levels you will never get better. We will see what happens when it goes live because they seem very adamant that it goes through. My prediction is less killers and longer queue times. People say itll help them balance the game over time. I hope that is their intention.

  • MMR should be a thing for newer or not experienced players to protect them from veterans but honestly anyone who is a decent survivor to amazing and decent killer to amazing should all be in the same matchmaking pool. With MMR on match times were more than double what they normally are for me, every game was a sweat fest, pretty much have to bring the best build or full meta to compete which gets old quick, as well as facing the most BM survivors I have faced in a long time. Gunna be a hard no for me. I see no upsides of this system. Never been a fan of SBM in any game let alone a game that is asymmetrical. In a perfect world queue times should be very quick and you should face a wide variety of skills but everyone should at least know how to play the game at a decent level.

  • People acting like equipping shadowborn means you cant be spun and have a massive advantage now. Honestly it just feels nice. Thats it. Ive never been in a match and thought "man glad i brought shadowborn to win that match" just makes killer feel better to play. Thats all people want.

Survivors do track spirit with sound and observation(grass+footsteps)

It's only stridor that breaks her.

Exactly, I was saying survivors shouldn't get glimpses of her while she is phasing. If the survivors get anything more from her phasing it should be sound not glimpses of her body. And yes Stridor is an issue but on the flip side wouldnt we say Iron will is also an issue? People only use stridor because of Iron will and how it actually makes you quieter than when youre healthy. I wouldnt mind seeing Stridor changed entirely and seeing Iron Will changed so it doesnt make you completely silent. We've got to consider both sides.

  • @Shooby said:

Someone on these forums made a fantastic suggestion that the Spirit should leave husks of her position every 25% of her phase or so. That, or any indicator that she is phasing instead of standing still mindgaming for free, is the only 'counterplay' Spirit needs.

While that sounds cool I dont think it's a great idea. If the survivors get information from her it should be sound based. Just like she is tracking with sound so should the survivors track her location with sound. She is a "spirit" after all.

  • Wouldnt you say stridor needs changed then? And if stridor needs changed would Iron will also need changed as it is the same problem but on the other side?

  • Honestly all she needs is an animation for entering phase. So the survivors get some information as to when to start walking etc. I get so many survivors because they dont predict me entering phase at the right time so i see them start walking and its a free hit. If anything little noises as to where she is in phase wouldnt be horrible either. The best part is literally any changes could be tested on ptb. Its sad they dont utilize the ptb as much as they could.

It's hard to describe, I would say that I can do an 45 + 80. I can't quite turn as hard in the initial turn and I can't quite get the maximum flick.

Honestly not too bad for the low sens!

  • @konchok said:

The Z-flick can't be done on a standard mouse. I know because I use a standard DPI mouse. I measured it's sensitivity and I can get it up to 750 DPI. And it is literally impossible for me to do the 180 degree flicks. But I know bump logic inside and out, so I still do well with blight.

Damn yeah I play on 1600 usually so ive never tried that low of DPI. For the most part I do think its mostly for style points. Blight certainly doesnt need it to perform well. Can you hit 90?

  • Alien is my dream chapter to come into dbd. If they get it I do think itll be one of the biggest licenses they have ever gotten speaking money wise (Disney) and it is an icon in horror. Seeing it on the last Survey made the chances even better. Here's to hoping!

The only way to play short loops with Lethal Rush against good survivors is by exploiting.

And yes, counterplay is turning the killer into a basic m1 killer. That's what Oni counterplay is, that's what Billy counterplay is, that's what Blight counterplay is, that's what Huntress counterplay is, that's what every single bit of meaningful, reliable counterplay in DbD - forcing them to not be able to effectively use their power in certain situations.

The J flick "exploit" was removed and the current z-flick is capable without absurdly high dpi and can be done on controller. Has the devs said the z-flick is an exploit? I dont see how its an exploit now that both pc and console can do it and it can be done on normal dpi/sensitivity. They did this intentionally I thought.

  • Had a group of survivors tell me red glow moonwalking and mindgaming loops was bannable and i was exploiting the game. It was glorious I never wouldve thought someone would think this.

  • Blight for sure. I always have a blast running around bumping into stuff and trying to find angles to hit survivors. Next after that is probably oni for me for almost the same reasons. That Oni blade wipe is crack!

THANK YOU! God, I thought I was the only one that thought he is strong, if you can aim well, and have good map knowledge, he is a monster! In main event i think there should be no recoil AND he throws the blades directly in the centre of the screen, atm in main even you hit like 40 percent of the like 100 blades.

I think main event should up your movement speed to 115% while in it or make it so knives deal double laceration in main event. It should be powerful especially since you cant hold it and use it whenever.

  • I agree with pretty much everything you said. I too have been playing a lot of trickster and he can be so lethal its insane. His lethality goes up even more because survivors think he is awful so they play more in your face which usually doesnt pan out well for them. 100% not the worst killer on the game. I have beaten 10k hour teams with him. In that match i could name a handful of killers that would have just straight up lost if I was playing them instead of Trickster. His only true issue in my opinion is that his Main Event is pretty trash. Id like to see it reworked so it is basically the height of your power. Other than that he is in a really decent spot. Of course this is all if you are good at killer in general and can aim the knives with high accuracy.

  • Demogorgon but my favorite looking P3 has to be Pyramid. And now that im on PC and no cross progression so i have to start over. Pyramid will be one of the only killers i P3. It just looks so good

  • Agreed also no mention of Cross Progression or really much.

  • honestly he is really good but not too oppressive. I hope he gets no changes i think he is perfect for release

  • i would love to see slightly better pathing on the AI and more to spawn in on big maps. Shame theres no add ons to add more zombos

  • These were buffed a bit ago and were in the patch notes :)

  • Alright I will join in. Guessing Nemesis for killer. Survivor I am going with Claire. If I am wrong Nurse it is.

  • Trapper 100% his kit is so outdated and takes so much time. Myers also just to update him. If we are talking total overhaul probably Legion, just dont know what they would do

If anything, I’d love if wraith was stronger than he is now, just more enjoyable to go against. I’d only say he’s just barely B tier right now.

I could agree with this. A power rework to make it more interactive but still good and give that hit and run playstyle. I would be interested to see what the devs or community could come up with. Id also argue that Myers and Trapper are very outdated and could use some touch ups

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

I’m genuinely glad you enjoy him. I’m not trying to start an anti-Wraith party, as I love his design, lore, etc. I’m simply wondering what the consensus is on him right now, and sharing my perspective. It’s quite aggravating taking time to write out my issues with him, and being met with extreme hostility. It’s a discussion forum, wouldn’t be needed if everyone agreed on everything.

I much prefer your type of response, explaining why you enjoy going against him. It’s totally personal preference. For example, some people hate going against Myers, but I really don’t mind him.

Yeah totally I understand and can definitely see the aggravation towards wraith going up with his ease of use. Though I do think to use him well you have to have good understanding of tiles but yeah. The only killer I hate facing is a camping Bubba because there is nothing to be done against that. Anyways I can see why people are frustrated but I fear it could lead to Wraith being nerfed in some way which I don't want to happen because he is finally in a really good position.

  • He is definitely stronger than before and his lunge is threatening. I personally think he is in a really good spot right now. I like facing him because Ive gotta be more aware of my position than normal so its a more involved game than normal killers that give you plenty of warnings to when they are coming and can just be looped into infinity. Which Wraith can definitely be looped and countered just not the same as most killers.

  • Nostromo, Ellen Ripley, The Xenomorph...yes please

  • He isnt horrible by any means. He has some really hard counters that take him forever to down and he really lacks 4v1 in any sense. His Main Event needs reworked. Imagine if myers or Onis full charged ability so bad it wasnt worth using. Thats Main event. Only useful in maybe 1 or 2 scenarios. Also i think adding in something that makes survivors have to rip the knives out of them to get them to go away would be good. Right now you basically have to commit once you start going after someone or lose all the knife progression you had on them. Other than that he is extremely lethal in the open. Other killers are as well tho. He could use some add on fixes as well his iris are weird and the one requires such high precision to get value that its not really worth it.

  • @Laluzi said:

New maps, maps for the killers that got skipped, an apology and immediate withdrawal of the concept of breakable walls, addon pass for Pig, basekit yellow trapper bag for Trapper and/or removing the mechanic where he has to go all over the map to pick up his traps, Myers overhaul, improved hitboxes for Plague, more cosmetics and tomes for licensed killers.

Great list. Hopefully they find their way on the road map!

  • Cross progression please. I have so much time on the PS4 version that i basically have to start over on PC now that I have a good PC. Playing on PC is a lot better. Hoping I can be reunited with my PS4 account.

  • I enjoy playing all killers but i least enjoy playing nurse. I like chasing people too much, which you don't really "chase" with her, and hate her fatigue animation where she looks at the ground. I understand why its there but that playstyle isn't my most preferred.

  • @SunderMun said:

I think he's referring to the fact it acts as a projectile rather than being hitscan; it appears just a moment before dealing damage. However he's really underselling how powerful it is and how hard it is to dodge by a large margin.

Pyramids ability is one of the easiest dodges in the game. You get the warning of the direction he is looking which his turn rate is limited to make it even harder to confuse survivors with flicks. Then you get the red glow on ghe ground and then the damage rolls out to the end. So many chances to dodge it and its so telegraphed its only pure use is through walls where they cant see you or pallets and window threats. I think it could use less telegraphs so it cant be reacted to as easy. More prediction based. Hard to say because tweak it too much and it could be oppressive as hell. But youd have to agree that its insanely telegraphed

  • Honestly I agree his power is so telegraphed its not even funny. Odds of you hitting someone is pretty low if they are paying attention. I would love to see it reworked so it isnt so telegraphed that its so easy to dodge. Hence why people faked it so much and only went for guaranteed hits at windows and pallets because it just isnt reliable enough. Especially if they see you. Though i think Tricksters Main Event is in a much worse position as being borderline useless.

  • SPOILER. Honestly with the lore that shows what appears to be Vladimir the Impaler (Dracula) I am going to guess that he will be the "vampire" esque killer to come later. She is very new and i couldnt see them getting the resident evil license which capcom was actively looking for licensing for their 25th anniversary so id imagine you will get a more iconic character thats more recognized. My guess is Nemesis or Mr.X with nemesis and tyrant skins. Most other things are too big or proportioned obnoxiously(Birkin) whatever we get i hope it is a strong killer with unique perks and abilities

  • Honestly that would be super nice. Right now third seal and blindness only hurts solo survivors. Making it remove the red stain would make it useful against swf and actually a perk worthy of being a hex.
