Just came out of the theater not too long ago, and wow that was... interesting to say the least. One of those movies where I really enjoyed it until it got to the lame ending (lackluster imo).
Oh, and spoiler warning just incase but..
Michael wasn't even in his own damn movie lol

Hey, my mum's chocolate lab had an unhealthy obsession with socks too!!!
...at least until they had to pay $2,000 to get his stomach pumped when he ate one of them 😅
Though that's....probably?...not an issue for a cat.
Oh nooo😭that poor pupper ;-;
And she may not actually eat them but will make sure that the next time you put it on, your big toe is sticking out because it has a hole from her mangling it lol

I love Cammy.
also my Chinchillas have an unhealthy obsession with socks as well, at least specific one. Recently started nibbling on mine.
Awww chinchillas are adorable, especially your batchilla :3 and thank you!!
I really wonder what it is about socks that makes them obsessed. The smell? The fact that they know it'll be causing their hooman an inconvenience? Who knows xD

Might as well throw this little bean head in here :p her name is Cammy & she has an unhealthy obsession with socks👀

So Blight matches only. Can´t be long until all the "Nurse OP" threads turn into "Blight OP" threads.
Meh, I think Blight is fine when compared to Nurse, a killer who can ignore the majority of DBD's game mechanics. Blight is a killer you can actually counter with something other than "be unpredictable".

I respectfully disagree with your statement of "Saying that DH is lesser than a killers power doesn't make sense because DH is used in looping, and looping is basically a survivors "power" to winning the game." Yes I agree with looping part, atleast 1 person gotta know how to waste killer time in chase, but I don't undersyand the DH being more than a killers power part. If a survivor ran overzealous or prove thyself and hopped on a gen are those perks better than the killers power because they are doing what you need to do to win (gens)? I don't understand that specific point you are making, I may be reading it wrong, but a killers power is way more important than any survivor perk including dh
I never said it was more important than a killers power, which is the part you're reading wrong. I said it doesn't make sense to put one less than the other since both are equally the key to winning the game. Looping wins survivors the game as you're wasting the killers time to do gens while a killers power will win the killer the game as it helps you kill off survivors. DH is a looping perk, which is why they're comparable.

I see your point here, it is deffinatly a possibility, but you can still be bad with a perk (DH) and still be in an okay spot within the match. Is not like you NEED dead hard to win, but you need to know how to play nurse to win. A perk has much less significance in a match then if someone knows how to use a killers base power efficiently.
Another point I would like to make is that dead hard is easy to learn and good players or bad players can figure out how to use it efficiently within days. Nurse is a differnt story. When a good killer main switches to nurse (they don't play nurse that much) they will not be good and it will take hundreds of hours to master her. Same as bad player's but worse. Bad players at killer will have an even harder time cause they arnt very good at the base killer game and they arnt good at nurse, so it's double trouble for them.
It's just so hard to compare a perk to a killer because killers have way more mechanics and strategy then 1 singular perk.
Simple as that.
You're not wrong, you obviously don't need DH to win, but given the fact that it can end up deciding the outcome of the match, it has great significance in whether you use it right or not.
Reason being because when you're a survivor, to stay alive you and your team are going to need to know how to loop otherwise the game will be over before it even started. DH is an essential perk for most when looping due to the fact that it can turn an ended chase into potentially making it to another pallet. Saying that DH is lesser than a killers power doesn't make sense because DH is used in looping, and looping is basically a survivors "power" to winning the game.
-
I'd like to say that I play both sides just as much but that wouldn't be true. Killer, while it can be fun at times, is so stressful and I find myself getting tilted way easier than survivor, even if I'm winning. I don't neglect to let my Oni juices flow occasionally though.
With survivor I can just lay back and chill with some friends on gens and have a few chases. I don't have to worry about a million things at once and I feel more free to try out meme builds (aka my "ooo shiny" chest build) :p
-
To be fair, almost every killer is oppressive with a 3 gen. That's one of the things survivors have to avoid doing to win.
I can see your frustration though. Selfish survivors make me tilted too, believe me.
-
I consider him to be a well-balanced killer for both sides. If you know what you're doing with his power then you can keep survivors on their toes the entire game. However, the weakest part of his kit is getting his power at the start. It'll be rough if the survivors know to drop pallets early to keep him an M1 killer.
With that being said, I love playing as and against Oni. Baiting where you Demon Dash combined with flicking will get ya places!

But a survivor being bad with dead hard isn't game changing. They dh into a wall. Ok? They get hooked. A player being bad at nurse decides the game already. It's gonna be a 3 of 4 man escape when you play against a bad nurse everytime. A bad dh dosnt determine the outcome of a game, a bad nurse does. Simple as that.
Except it can be game changing. A DH could mean the difference between getting downed instantly or extending the chase so much so that the killer loses the game.
If all 4 survivors don't know how to use their DH correctly then chances are they're going to drop like flies as would a killer if they were bad at said killer. However, I see both bad killers and survivors that end up winning all the time. This isn't always the outcome but you can't act like it's not a possibility. Simple as that.

You are comparing a perk with a killer... they cannot be compared based on skill because they both are 2 completly separate skill topics
They can definitely be compared due to the fact that they're both considered unbalanced and players being bad with it doesn't mean it's balanced. Simple as that.
-
I might be a bit biased but I love playing against and as Oni. Powerful killer that'll keep you on your toes all game if you're not careful. I personally think he's one of the most balanced killers in the game.
To top it off, Yamaoka Estate is a decent map. Kinda small but has enough pallets to compensate.
One last thing.. I LOVE his theme music.

That is a pretty bad comparison ngl. I would see ds because people can't hit skillchecks but DH comparison? Not exactly the best comparison I've heard
How is that a bad comparison? A successful DH obviously takes a bit more skill than hitting a skill check, and saying said perk is balanced because some players are noob mcnoobs with it doesn't mean it's not unbalanced, as with Nurse.
Lower her skillcap and nerf something in return. Maybe make her addon Plaid Flannel basekit with a downside, anything really.
-
It's been alright. The masks look amazing and I love the menu music as well as the overall theme for the event, but the games.. have been questionable.
I've had both chill killers and chill survivors just wanting to farm/drag out the game to get points with many flans but the majority of matches have been against killers who just want to see the world burn.
Players can play how they want and that's fine, and I don't expect them to go easy for the event, but camping and tunneling 1 specific survivor over and over at the start of the game (which has been me many times) while the killer ends up ultimately losing the match because of it is pretty lame. Lots of Nurses too. Bleh.

Definitely. The first film is a classic horror and not comedic. The campness starts from the second film and carries on in to parts 3-6 (Part 3 is also a very good film though).
Thanks for the response! Looks like I'll have to see what I've been missing this weekend :)

I'm also ashamed to say that the 2010 remake is the only one I've seen..
..but tbh I actually.. kinda liked it😭
Bias aside, do you think I should give classic Nightmare a watch? I've heard Robert Englund's Freddy was more comedic than scary.

Definitely can understand how you feel. Personally, I like to try out fun builds that are extremely silly just so I don't have to take the game as serious. As much as I'd love to steamroll everyone, prioritizing your fun rather than how many games you win is always for the better.
Easier said than done, I know. Take a break, even if it's an entire year and come back sometime feeling refreshed. Hope to see you in the fog at some point my friend :)

They really messed up his hair imo.
He doesn't look like a smol innocent boy anymore, he looks like a nerd that kept up with his skincare for a week before he started his new office job. It's awful.
-
Respect? Having a survivor walk up to you and nod once slowly is a GG imo, as long as they leave afterwards without wasting anymore time.
Mercy? Similar to your story. Chasing a Dweet to an exit and watching them crouch, looking up at you with puppy dog eyes with their item on the ground tells me they're begging for their life and I'll usually let them go.
It depends on the person but as long as you're not obnoxious about winning/and or losing, the action won't be taken negatively.
-
Not sure if I have a build for when I'm depressed.. but if you want a build to GET depressed, I have ya covered!
No Mither + Self Care + For The People + Inner Strength (you could also run Object of Obsession to get tunneled out of the game asap)
On a real note though, I hope you feel better soon man. I know you've heard it all by now but people do care for you & it will get better, it just takes time and ambition🤗
-
Literally nobody does this, in my 2 years of playing I think its only happened twice lmao
Anyways, I personally don't like to take mercy kills because I don't like the whole pity party thing, but if I realize the survivor is going to die by EGC I'll usually hook them before they do. And yes, I'm very appreciative of it because its extremely rare.
-
I'm going to pick this option because I know it'll never happen anyways.
With that being said, F13th actually felt scary, as if you were in a horror movie. That game had so much going for it and the devs had so many plans that all went in the trash. It's really disappointing.
-

So.. you're telling me since Jane tried her damn best to try and do good, you left her on hook to rot because you felt it was "revenge"? What kind of thought-process is that?
Obviously Jane was wasting tons of time when she could've been doing gens, and obviously her leading the killer to your gen is frustrating. Does that mean you have to completely ruin her game over a simple mistake she made? No. As other people have said here, you might've just been the final straw and not only is she probably done with being altruistic, but she might even take it out on her teammates next game. I know I would.
The funny thing is, people who do this wonder why they're left for dead themselves. Probably because of situations like this? I mean hell dude, I'm all for getting revenge on purposely-sandbagging teammates, but this?

the only issue is that its going to divide the community even more. The game is already divided into 2 different game modes, this will divide into 2 more different game modes and itll just make the que even more of a hellhole.
That's why if they were to ever bring different gamemodes, that they would be for a limited time and not forever.
Not only does this give them more time to create different variations but it also would force players to play the gamemode before it's gone. Granted, I imagine they'd recycle the same ones every once and awhile.

You can't slow down gens without buffing the survivor side also. Maybe increase map sizes and slow down gens. You have to make the game longer for both sides, because slowing down gens would increase the 60% kill rate that killers currently have even more.
Obviously. The whole point is to realize that gen speeds are a problem & to find a solution by balancing both sides to slow the game down.
Knowing BHVR though, they'll probably nerf one side and will take forever to do the other which would inturn, imbalance the game yet again. An example of this could be keys & moris.
-
I've had many times where teammates have thrown the game because they decided to heal instead of finishing the last few gens. 2 people healing eachother is the equivalent of getting a gen halfway done, so quite frankly I think it's a waste of time to heal unless you're on last hook or it's necessary (ex. against killers like Oni).
With that being said, I don't like fast games either & I do think the devs should do something about gen speeds, but that doesn't mean it's not the smarter idea to do gens before friends (granted you don't let anyone die on hook, however).
-
I do feel like there is a bit more killer-bias here, but I wouldn't say it's shifted the forums as a whole. With that being said, I do believe it's because killers have more balance-related problems (ex. not being the power role in high ranks, etc) so they tend to speak up more.
I've had many times on these forums where I'd defend a point from one side and be called a "killer main" or "survivor main" which has always made me laugh considering it happens so often. I always try to keep my arguments as unbiased as possible but some people just feel like anything that differs from their opinion is attacking them, to which they then do the same. Funnily enough, I've even been called a killer main just because of my Oni profile pic despite playing survivor 95% of the time. Weird.
-
It's always fun when you think a Spirit is phasing & go down because she was just waiting there the entire time.
That is not skill, that is free hits from an abusable element in her kit that could easily be changed.

To be fair, it is a great move by them.
It may be smart.. but also very, very cruel.
-
Oh boy.. my sleep schedule is pretty ######### right now so I can relate to this by a long shot since I'm always playing at night.
Anyways, I do have a funny story regarding this.. I was doing a gen on MacMillan & I guess I must've passed out in the process because I woke up to a Bubba chainsawing my ass.
You would think that would've woken me up huh? Nope. Got into a chase with him later on and dozed off again which ultimately ended up with myself running into a wall & him just staring at me. Needless to say, I ended up getting hatch because I assume he felt bad for me even though he didn't know ######### was going on xD
-
I like the perk as well because survivors don't seem to ever realize you have it no matter how obvious it is. I've definitely been in that same position myself where I was like "hurr durr maybe im aiming too low" until I see the killers perks on the endgame screen.
Although I will say.. I'm pretty traumatized. I've had 4 flashlights switch to no flashlights last second and had a wasted perk slot the entire game. Makes me cringe everytime I think about it😔
-
Gotta have my Dead Hard or else I feel like I'm walking on eggshells.
For killer, I wouldn't say I have a crutch perk but I loooove using Survellience because it punishes the sneaky sneks that hop right on the gen as soon as I leave.
-
Not a Nurse player, but might be of some help:
Lethal Pursuer + Corrupt is a-m-a-z-i-n-g on Nurse since she can transverse the map pretty damn quick. Also works great on Blight, Hillbilly, etc.
For an actual build, I personally love to run slug builds (particularly on Oni), so I'd recommended trying Knock Out/Starstruck + Deerstalker + Infectious + (any gen regression perk). It might not be too fun for the survivors but it definitely creates pressure & allows you to practice blinking way more often given you know where a nearby survivor is (assuming you're not a god Nurse already :p)
-
Chirs & Claire do.. not sure about Jonathan.

oh hell no, as if enough players didn't run it already
Dead Hard is a second-chance perk that allows survivors to screw up and still be able to extend chase by making it to another loop regardless of how the killer plays. As much as I like to run it myself, promoting it to more people sounds like an awful idea.

Heh I was, as I always am, a stealth guy more than anything so I got my rushes from getting away from Jason, jumping under a bed, and hoping that he didn't know that I was there. That's one of the things I loved about the game - the emphasis on hiding as opposed to direct confrontation. This game's the reverse, and that's fine because at least both options are available, but it's one thing to briefly hide in a locker and have your teammates yell at you for it and another thing altogether to have 50 hiding places that you NEED to use lest you die and die quick. Jason was OP - in a way that made me not enjoy playing him, to be honest - but because the game DID have a strong emphasis on hiding and sneaking that made his ridiculous OTT powers okay.
But flare gun or no, I totally agree, it was loads of fun to have something like a square mile to just run all over the place hoping like hell that Jason didn't happen to be near. As much as I love DBD, I have to admit that F13 did make the matches feel like they took place in actual locations, not prearranged battle arenas. Maybe that's why I like indoor maps so much? They feel more like real places to me.
I completely agree because once Jason grabs you, it's over unless you have a pocket knife/a buddy nearby to strike him. I've had moments where I hid inside a wardrobe and watched him walk past me and moments where I danced with all of the other counselors while Jason was breaking down the door. That game allows you to be so free in what you do and I wish DBD felt the same way, considering there's multiple ways to escape rather than just one.
Dammit, all of this talk makes me want to go play it now.. wish me luck trying to find a lobby lol

I was actually going to mention that roadmap! I remember it, I think they either debuted it, or I happened to first see it, just when I began playing. It was cool, it was a literal illustrated map that charted exactly what they were working on and in what order. I remember seeing that single player mode and being stoked. It didn't wind up being very good, but again, it's not like they were given much of a chance.
There are some things I REALLY miss about that game. The maps were MASSIVE and felt like actual, honest to god woods and campgrounds. I wouldn't want every DBD map to be like that but you bet I'd like at least some to be. The ability to run back and forth between a bunch of different cabins, sneak around the forest, swim across the lake, etc. That was so much fun. That was a really great game to play survivor on (not that I feel DBD isn't, just saying). And the fidelity to the source material, man. Just a TOTAL labor of love.
I'll say it again. Just a shame. Just a real, real shame.
I know.. it made you feel like you were in an actual horror movie, especially when you were the last counselor running from house to house setting traps at the door and waiting for Jason to come in while you had your flare gun at the ready. Good motherfucking times man. Good. Times.

The F13 game was never truly given the chance to meet its full potential. Players were complaining, griefers were griefing, and then the damn lawsuit. It's a shame. I still prefer DBD in most (but not all) ways but competition is always good and that lawsuit ######### sucks.
It really does. What makes it even more sad is that the devs created a roadmap of all of the things they were going to add into the game, some of which they directly listened to the fans for, and it all got thrown away because of the lawsuit. That game could've been so much more, and now I can't even get into a damn lobby.
