  • Maybe there is more to the video we didn't see, but why would he chase a survivor going to shack (powerful loop if done correctly) if he knows there is a savior he could go after instead, in a worst position. This is just picking and choosing your battles, nothing wrong with it.

Like I said in my first sentence though, maybe he was proxy-camping the entire time and we didn't see that. But going off of what is shown in this clip, he was not camping as hard as you think he was.

  • Longer queue times.

Giving into childish habits they have.

Messing up dev results (how many times a killer is picked, killrates, etc)

The list can go on, but you see the point.

(Wouldn't mind having an offering to ONLY avoid Spirit tho..)

  • I feel like they implemented that mechanic so you actually feel like you're struggling for your life. Nonetheless though, it is annoying. I have occasional lag spikes on PS4 and get frustrated that I die because of poor optimization/and or the over-the-top struggle phase, whatever you want to blame it on.

  • Monitor & Abuse on Deathslinger. Nuff' said.

First survivor match: Miss 5 skillchecks and die because I didn't play the tutorial and had no idea what was going on. This was like 2 years ago and I uninstalled the game immediately lmao. Later I watched my friends play the game and I got back into it.

First killer match: Trapper. I put traps all around gens and hooked survivors. Surprisingly effective, I got a 3k and when it came to the last guy I put every single trap around the hatch because I had no idea you could close it. Didn't work but it was pretty funny. I think I also got hit with head on twice in that match but I had no idea what it was, so I just avoided lockers cause I thought anyone could stun you.

dude the fact that you uninstalled the game asap is such a mood lol

  • I agree, although this is the case with a lot of things. An example could be media in general, such as a movie. If you've already seen the movie recently, you probably don't want to watch it again anytime soon because you already know what happens.

At that point, all we can do is either stop playing for a long period of time and come back to new killers, survivors, and changes in general, or take on the challenge of playing to get better. When there isn't fear, there is competition. Most survivors including myself don't feel too afraid of the killer, and instead see the game as a grind.

Hell, I'm afraid of survivors when I'm killer lol

  • If it's in the game, there's no reason to not use it. All you're doing is putting yourself at a disadvantage. Even if I'm running the infamous chest build, I still have Dead Hard in one of my slots, it's just a given.

  • I suggest you make a goal when playing survivor; do everything you can to pip. Do gens, totems, practice looping (since you're a killer main, this should be a bit easier), etc.

Once you start climbing out of brown ranks and adjusting yourself more in purple ranks, usually people know what they're doing a lot more often. Now, you're still going to get useless teammates here and there as rank does not always matter, but it's a start.

Start using perks that either give info or help your chance at survival. Dead Hard, Aftercare, Bond, Kindred, etc.

Lastly, no matter what, don't give up. I'm the opposite and struggle a bit at killer, and will say that the once or twice I got REALLY good, I stopped playing killer for awhile. Guess what? I went back to losing every game.

Go on now, get! You have survivor games to play. :P

  • NOED can definitely be annoying, but if survivors have second-chance perks such as unbreakable, NOED is here to stay as it is literally the exact same thing, second chances. Plus, as many others have said, it gives a separate objective other than gens, which is cleansing totems. Isn't more objectives what this community wants? I know I do.

  • Can confirm. Bought DBD on the Switch so I can play it on the go. Mediocre experience. I understand if it's a little laggy compared to other platforms, but my god, if you get on 2nd hook, or get any skill checks at all for that matter, it's game over.

Not to mention, the graphics are so bad that the faces for character models are literally not there. Like, they just don't load in. It's kind of funny to see Meghead with no face, but it eventually gets disturbing.

Either way, I find it ironic that mobile runs 10x better than a Switch.

Edit: Oh yeah, the maps are terribly dark. Good luck playing killer.

  • I have 2 perks off the top of my head.

1 - Had 3 blendettes harass me on PS messages because they couldn't use their Self Care since I had Nurses Calling. Got mad that you couldn't use one of your perks? Imagine how Hex players feel once their totem(s) is broken!

2 - Everytime I run Rancor (sometimes with Nemesis), I either get "omg I was on edge the entire time" (my favorite because I feel the same way as survivor) or "lOl bABy kilLeR NeEdeD tHaT tO KiLL mE". Either way, it's fun to play cat and mouse.

You are right, it IS a Killer perk, but not for the reason you mentioned.

It's a Killer perk because right before I MEEP MEEP into the sunset with Sprint Burst the Killer realizes he can't get me, so the poor Bill that was doing the gen with me gets killed instead. That leaves me with more than enough time to go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.

    Sorry, Bill.

lol is that a reference from shaun of the dead

  • I really like Sprint Burst because usually when a killer sees that I'm speedy McGee, they say f*ck it and chase someone else. It's especially nice when doing things such as gens, or need to get out of a dead-zone quick. For those worried about walking everywhere, just 99 it & combine Sprint Burst with Fixated along with Vigil if you're feeling spicy.

Dead Hard is really nice too, but it's greatest downfall is reliability. Dead Hard isn't as reliable as Sprint Burst is as you can usually end up exhausted on the ground or using it too early. Even if you time your Dead Hard just right, it's not you who decides, latency does.

With this being said, I'd probably prefer Sprint Burst but would use Dead Hard more so my whole build isn't based around 1 exhaustion perk.

You all agree and you know it.

  • I'm officially filing a restraining order against Spirit. She is used in literally

    every.

    single.

    game.

Aside from that though, Huntress is pretty annoying because of her repetitive humming & insanely bad hitboxes. Legion can be annoying too, as well as set-up killers such as Trapper/Hag. I will say Trapper makes me more nervous than hag, especially around places like shack.

don't try and be competitive at this game, it will just make you miserable.

I started this game with a very competitive nature, watching some of the best players in the community like Otz, Tru3, and a few others whos names are escaping me made me want to play killer at a very high level and also being able to do this with most if not all killers. This drove me insane with anxiety and stress. While I definitely have become a very good player on both survivor and killer, as well as being able to play well with just about any killer (except nurse because shes a different beast) with any perk set up. I was actively hitting myself against a wall because of the amount of pressure I put myself under. this game is much more fun if you don't go in expecting to be better every match. Now I just do weird builds with killers and make gross plays as survivors, and its a bit easier to click the find match button now.

I instead put my competitive nature into other games more built for it. Smite season 8 is starting next week and im ready to break into masters as a jungle main finally after being stuck in high diamonds as a fill player.

100% this. I've definitely become a lot less competitive over the past year, but the stress is still there. Even if I was having a really good game, sometimes I'd still get frustrated at being outplayed rather than impressed. But now, I just go with the flow. Am I still nervous? Yes. But do I take it seriously serious? No.

At the end of the day, we're all just here to have fun.

  • As killer, I didn't know how to lunge for the longest time. I actually found out how to do this because I read some tips on the DBD subreddit. If it wasn't for that, I wonder how long it would've taken me to figure that one out, lol.

As survivor, I didn't know doing stuff such as running to lockers and fast-vaulting triggered a notification for the killer. I eventually found out after I played a few killer matches myself. That, and the killer always found me.

Bonus: Thought self care was OP. Couldn't play without spine chill, still can't.

  • Unfortunately I think there are outfits that look a lot better than these but I do not own them (cough cough grandma Bubba).

  • We all know what tunneling is, but sometimes seem to forget what tunneling isn't.

    Tunneling is not:

    • Punishing someone bodyblocking you because they have BT after getting off of hook.
    • Punishing someone bodyblocking because they have DS and want to abuse that.

The main point is, if you just got off of hook and aren't trying to get away from me as fast as possible, but instead try to bait me with BT/and or DS, I have every right to tunnel you since I deliberately went out of my way not to and that's the thanks I get.

  • Anyone other than Spirit, dear god.

    DemoDoggo (3)_LI.jpg

To be more specific though, there just aren't enough Demo doggos in this entity realm, which is understandable considering how bad his kit is (imo). We just want the to pet the good bois :(

I also like to go against Bubba, especially tinkerer Bubba, that's when the real adrenaline kicks in. And Pig. Boop that snoot!

  • Obviously both sides are toxic, but in my experience, I've found that survivors tend to be more toxic than killers.

I honestly think if killers weren't on the clock 24/7 throughout the game, they would be just as toxic as some survivors are. Unless they want to throw the game by face-camping and such, they usually don't get too many opportunities, compared to survivors.

  • Backwater Swamp is by far one of the most dull & darkest maps to ever be in DBD. It is especially frustrating as killer since anywhere you walk can be a hiding spot, considering the ridiculously tall grass/weeds.

I was originally going to say Haddonfield as it is the most unfair map in the game right now, but a lot of people here have made that clear already.

  • I tend to get a lot of Spirit, Legion & Freddy/Plague.

But unfortunately it seems like all Billy, Demo, & Twin players have vanished for me.

  • I definitely feel like Deathslinger is one of the scariest simply because he looks the most "human" out of everybody else, which makes it seem more likely to be real. I mean, he is the literal definition of 'dead man walking' after all.

Though, Doc & Bubba (sorry Myers) come in 2nd and 3rd place.

  • You have no idea how many times I get a lag spike on console & get punished because of it. I feel for you man!

  • Off the top of my head:

Worst map for killers: Mothers Dwelling/Haddonfield

Worst map for survivors: Dead Dawg Saloon

I say this because killers have an advantage of Dead Dawg Saloon being one of the smallest (if not the smallest) maps in the game, with killers like Doc succeeding because the map is SO small & easy to control.

For survivors, it's the opposite. They have an advantage of Mothers Dwelling being one of the largest (if not the largest) maps in the game, causing everyone to be spread out.

Do I need to explain why survivors have an advantage on Haddonfield? No.

  • It used to be Myers, but he's so tall and has such a visible mask that he literally cannot sneak up on anybody unless in an indoor map.

Therefore I'd definitely say Ghostface. Playing without spine chill while going against him makes me nervous.

  • I'd say tbagging at pallets is more frustrating, but trying to bodyblock me from chasing a different survivor just because you have BT is infuriating.

Why? I deliberately went out of my way to NOT tunnel you, and you rub that in my face. Guess what happens then? They get tunneled.
