I've never gone to the cinemas alone because I never seen a need to. Movie theatres are 10x better with a buddy & if I don't have one with me, I always tell myself I can watch movies at home. Not to mention, I haven't been to a cinema in like a year because of Corona.
I do miss going though. I saw Halloween (2018) in theatres and wouldn't mind seeing Halloween Kills there too. I always liked to go to the 12am listings for horror movies because it makes them more eerie for me.

If pressuring people off of gens in general doesn't seem to work, you could:
- Try a different build that is more "gen defense". I would personally try and make the most out of Ruin + Undying before it gets nerfed.
- Try a different killer, such as Oni for snowballing & pressuring off of gens with Blood Fury, or Hag to set traps down near them.
If these 2 options don't seem to be working out well, the best thing you can do is make a 3-gen for yourself and call it a day. Just make sure you don't commit to chases too far away from it.
Best of luck lad & I hope your matches get better!
-
I wanted to pick neither when I first saw this, but I eventually leaned towards survivor being easier. Here's why:
When you're killer, if you don't know how to run tiles & pressure gens efficiently, you lose the game because you have little to nothing to "fall back on". The only thing that can possibly redeem the game is perks such as NOED, Devour, etc.
When you're survivor, if you don't know how to run tiles & do gens efficiently, it is a 50/50 if you win or lose the game because you can definitely be carried/carry.
For an example, if one of your teammates goes down within 2 seconds of chase and you're good at looping, you can take over for them while they do gens & be stealthy. You cannot do this as killer. If you mess up as killer, there is almost nothing you can do about it but lose the game in hopes of eventually getting better.
-
I agree. It isn't like you're going to escape anyway unless hatch is nearby/gates are open right next to you.
Not to mention, saving Deliverance the entire game goes down the drain.
-
Slenderman or a FNAF chapter sounds like fun to me.
Slenderman's power could just be completely based around not looking at him, because if you do, he will become a bit stronger each time. This'll make for fun chases because you have to limit yourself from looking behind you the entire time.
For FNAF, I'd imagine it'd be Springtrap. I'm not really sure what his power would be since I'm not too big into the franchise, but I think his mori could have a lot of cool possibilities, with my favorite being the survivor getting shoved inside an animatronic or something similar.

It's a gamble. They'll either want to farm, or they'll want to do gens as fast as possible. Either way, don't talk about it here. You're not supposed to farm.
I think farming is fine if everybody wants to do it and clearly shows that.
Now if you're working with a specific person only to sabotage the rest of their team (or the other way around), that is when I think it is the appropriate time to report somebody for farming.
-
I see you have a Pig profile picture, so I'm going to go off of that.
Stealth around like you usually would & when you sneak up on somebody, instead of hitting them, roar like your life depends on it.
Spam that roar, as fast as you can. You know how female cats meow profusely when they're in heat? Do that, but with your roar.
If they boop your snoot, they want to farm/meme around with you. If they run away, just try and hit the gens over and over until they get the hint.
If they were good little survivors, you can give them one of your hats as a souvenir for when they leave through the exit gates. Just make sure they aren't activated...

I always found this a bs feature. You always knew Jason was close even if you didn't see him.
I mean, it's the same with DBD. There's a terror radius warning you the killer is near even though you might not see them. Same applies to Friday The 13th.
-
I said this on another post but I think it'll apply here.
I mentioned how in Friday The 13th, whenever you're close to Jason, your screen gets darker & your HUD slowly disappears until he goes away. If they implemented this in DBD somehow, it would not only make the game scarier, but also harder. This "effect" would obviously go away when you're in a chase. The point of this is to genuinely make you feel like you're in danger.
-
I can persoanlly relate to the BT situation. I've seen survivors get unhooked right in front of me & I go after the savior bc I don't want to tunnel. Guess what? Guy with BT that just got off of hook is bodyblocking me.
I didn't want to tunnel you and this is how you repay me? Welp, back onto the hook you go.
-
You either play with the Dweets or go against em. There's no winning with the current matchmaking.
-
Oni may look bad*ss from afar but he is also completely terrifying when coming straight for you with Blood Fury.
With this being said, I think he definitely looks the coolest. His cosmetics aren't the best though.
2nd place would go to Doc for obvious reasons. The dude is a walking torture device.
-
I chose this answer because I consider a "win" how much fun I've had in the match.
I could get a 4k in a sweaty match and still feel like sh*t because it wasn't fun, but rather infuriating.
Or I could let everybody escape because 4 Steve's decided to boop the snoot & meme around. I have fun, they have fun, it's a win-win.
Main point is, I'd rather have a chill game than a sweaty one. So me "pipping" up is actually me pipping up in mood.
-
I lobby dodge because the ONE time I decide not to is when a key & a hatch offering is brought.
The only time I lobby dodge is because of keys, and that's because they're unfair.
Oh yeah, I dodge 4 P3 Claudettes too unless I'm doc. I always feel like I'm seeing things when playing against them.

the same answer I wrote on your last poll

impeded: prevents survivors from running or makes them barely faster than walking when running, getting injured/hit removes this status effect.
I had an idea for cruel limits that basically went like this
Cruel limits: when a generator is completed all vault locations within 16/20/24 meters become blocked for 30/60/90 seconds or until another generator is completed. Any survivor within 8 meters of a generator being completed will be effected by the impeded status effect for 3 seconds.
I like this.

The hatch almost always spawns inside the main building on Grim Pantry, just a little tip if you weren't referring to The Pale Rose.
Anyways, I've always found the most trouble finding hatch on maps like Mothers Dwelling & Rotten Fields since those maps are pretty darn big and can spawn literally anywhere.

flying dutchman hands down lmao

And it's not gonna be scary no matter what. It's the normal trajectory of every fear-inducing stimulus. Once you've been exposed to it repeatedly, you just won't be affected so much anymore, because you know what to expect.
Making your screen darker and more difficult to see is just gonna turn into nuisance because it takes away from your input to the gameplay. You're not gonna be scared, because you'll learn you'll simply go down because you can't see #########.
Scare might be one of the factors that attracts players to DbD, but it's not the reason they stick around for hundreds or even thousands of hours. And that's simply because it's impossible to scare them for that long, no matter the changes to the game.
That's.. kinda my point, to make the game a bit harder. I dunno, I still get scared when I see it in Friday The 13th, but maybe that's just me.
Anyway, I understand where you're coming from, I guess I just wish DBD was scarier like it used to be lol.

Well with the gamemode it should probably be made so 2 killers can't both be the same one, like once someone picks a killer, its locked for picking to the other person so they have to pick something different.
Okay, then let's think of it like this.
Hillbilly brings the survivors to Bubba & Bubba makes his survivor Chili.

We have blindness I think we should also have deaf. Oblivious while you can't hear terror radius you can hear other sounds. If survivors were made deaf for period of time similar to the ways blindness is inflicted it could make for some interesting game play.
I agree, though I will say Bubba's perk Knock Out deafens your hearing by a lot.

It would just make the game more annoying.
Can I ask why? DBD isn't scary anymore to people who've played over 5 matches & I figured adding something like this would atleast add to the mystery factor.
It doesn't have to stay dark while you're in a chase, as soon as you get hit the screen can turn back to normal.
-
I don't know if this would be considered a status effect, but what if survivors had something along the lines of a "scared meter"?
If you've ever played Friday The 13th you'd know that whenever Jason was nearby, your screen would get darker and your HUD would slowly disappear. I feel like this would make DBD a lot more scarier and somewhat harder if that happened whenever the killer was very close to you.
-
I usually try and branch out but if I had to pick, probably Dwight & Oni.
Dwight because Dweet.
Oni because of Blood Fury & lobby music.
-
I'd definitely say I lag the most on Backwater Swamp (PS4).
It's even worse when I lag on this map as killer & lose a survivor because the map is so dark to begin with.
-
I personally think Balance Landing is garbage considering the fact that you need specific maps such as Haddonfield to get any use out of it, compared to Dead Hard and Sprint Burst that don't need such requirements.
Needless to say though, it can be very strong in the right situations.
-
It's just so fun snowballing with Oni's Blood Fury. If I down people too quickly, I usually give them a reset just so I can do it all over again. You'll never be able to change my mind about this.
Although I will say sneaking up on people with Ghostface is pretty fun too, assuming they don't ruin the fun with Spine Chill.
-
I literally never see Billy's anymore, but to be completely honest I wouldn't expect to see him often because everytime I do he usually gets bullied into oblivion.
If I were to give a 2nd and 3rd spot, Demo and Twins never seem to make it into matches either.
-
can never go wrong with dweet😊
-
no more guessing game killers pls

I think the new animations (especially the running one) looks a bit weird, and here's why:
When you're idle, it looks like you're a puppet being held up by your strings because let me tell you, nobody stands like that.
When you're running, your legs look robotic to me and I can't put my finger on why.
Lastly, crawling on the ground seems very stiff now.
BUT
I do think they can definitely be tweaked a bit more, and once they are, the animations will look great. There is little details in them, such as actually using your hands to get up after getting healed off the ground instead of just popping up, that will make the game feel more realistic.

Here is a prepayment. You don't have to farm tho and you're more than welcome to eat toxic survivors!
You do realize all of us need a weekly update on this beautiful kitty right? SHE. IS. SO. FREAKING. CUTE.

I really want a new gamemode, the current game is boring at most times ngl cause i've played it so many times. I would love to see 2 killers and 6-8 survivors on a bigger map. I feel like that would be very fun and also very stressful lmao which is always fun when playing with friends and you are screaming at each other.
I can just imagine screaming in horror "OH MY GOD 2 BUBBAS ARE ON ME!"
Jeez, that sounds mortifying😳
-
It's even worse when you have Deliverance & been saving it all game just for it to be completely wasted at the endgame.
-
Oh my god, those little beans are so precious.
Now I have the sudden urge to go farm as a Demo doggo with survivors in hopes of seeing more beans in the future. Make it happen!

Obviously, their mobility is really good.
My issue is, on any loop their power feels somewhat useless compared to other killers.
The good survivors I run into and have trouble with on my top performing killers are a joke to chase on Oni or Billy when they are near any loop which is almost 100% of the time unless they are saving each other.
Oni's ability to track is nice I guess, but I have an easy time finding any injured survivor normally honestly. It is the ones that are not injured that are near impossible to find if they play stealthy.
I just don't understand the advantages they bring outside of mobility. Yes, they can 1 shot, but only in situations when survivors are caught with their pants down (in the open or saving) which would be almost as beneficial for any m1 killer with STBFL
I can't speak for Billy because I don't really like his kit, but Oni is good at creating pressure. His Blood Fury isn't only about instadowns, and his power actually encourages survivors to waste their time and heal rather than sticking to gens 24/7. A lot of killers don't do this aside from Legion.
I will say he is definitely an M1 killer in chase, no doubt about it.
-
I know it's annoying and should have a volume-reducer after so many of them, but think of it like this, that person who is forcing those audio cues over and over aren't doing gens, saving teammates, doing totems, etc. Look at it in a positive way and massacre the rest of the team.
-
Oni in my opinion is 100% stronger than Billy will ever be.
When using Billy's power, you have to rely on either turning add-ons or just hope a survivor doesn't know what LOS is/they're in a deadzone. When using Oni's power, you can turn as you'd like and transverse the map without worrying about bumping into stuff (like Billy does). Not to mention, you can track survivors down as Oni when they're injured because of blood orbs, compared to Billy that doesn't have anything similar in his kit.
It may take a bit to get Oni's power, but all you need is about 2 hits which isn't hard at all. Put Infectious Fright on your build & snowball away.

I forget which dev said it but on a stream a dev said that they're changing her add-on to do exactly that. You need to hit someone from x amount of distance away.
Oh wow, I can't believe I guessed that correctly.
In my honest opinion, only good Huntresses will be able to use this add-on to its full potential, which sucks because majority of players aren't too good with her. I know I could never hit a hatchet farther away than I already do, which is like arms length lmao
-
It would take a lot of add-on, perk, and even power reworks to remove instadowns forever. Therefore, they most certainly are not going to remove them entirely from the game.
But I will say due to popular demand, Huntress might get hers taken away. The ONLY thing I think they might do to keep her instadown is her having to hit someone with her hatchet from a certain distance apart for it to work, similar to Deathslingers Iri Coin add-on.
-
Myers scares me half to death the first time I see him, but once he hits tier 2 and loses his undetectable status, I don't fear him much anymore other than being anxious he's going to pop tier 3 on me. Ghostface however never loses said ability to sneak up on people, so I definitely feel the most scared when playing against him.
-
This would definitely give survivors more personality, but I don't see how killers would have an emote for anyone other than yourself to see, which is honestly kind-of a waste (considering they'll probably cost shards or something).
But nonetheless it would give the game more "aesthetic" and detail.

I would love to see it as a limited time game mode rather an a permanent one. R6 siege have had good success with limited time events where they experimented with arcade-y and cool new stuffs completely different from the actual game (they had a hide and seek mode FFS) so I wish BHVR also gives it a shot. Definitely a fun game mode and who cares about balance in an limited time arcade game mode
That's a good idea. A lot of people complain that they do nothing for events, so maybe they could take gamemodes like this and put it into an event. For example, Anniversary is the only time this gamemode would be available.

This is something I can justify being $10.

Cosmetics are definitely overpriced but I will say that some of them are really nice. If I think the cosmetic is neat, I'll tend to get it regardless. I definitely don't usually buy more than one cosmetic a month though.
For me, cosmetics keep me from getting bored, as well as switching characters often. Cosmetics such as Dwight-in-a-Box should not be ignored, but cherished. I plan to get Old Lady Bubba next.
Also, they need a mix-and-match system if they're going to continue to keep selling cosmetics at this price. I'm tired of having to guess how a top will look with a bottom, end up buying them, putting them on and hating it because we cannot mix-and-match before we make a purchase.
-
The hatch will always spawn on the bottom floor on all maps, but sometimes it'll spawn on platforms raised off of the ground. For an example, on Midwich, it can spawn on the stairs. On Mothers Dwelling, it can spawn on the hills. Then on Blood Lodge, it can spawn in the house/building.
All in all, just make sure you look everywhere you can and you'd be surprised as to where it can spawn sometimes.
-
As I've said before, Santa Dwight is the best choice in situations like this.
The build would be Plunderer's Instinct, Appraisal, Ace in the Hole, & Bond. The entire point of this build is to cheer survivors up and bring them presents. If I was getting placed in a trial over and over again just to probably end up dying, I'd be irritated too.
With this being said, if you don't have Dwight-in-a-Box or Mr. Elf, you aren't a true Santa Dwight. Fully commit to the role!
