Well, I now seem to agree with some who have said in the past that there are better licenses to get.

Of course there are better licenses, but that doesn't make things better.

Though I will say, I have no idea what the hell Jason's power would've been considering Trapper already has dibs on the traps.

  • Lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit. You'd think one would be enough lol.

It's such a shame because Friday The 13th could've been an amazing game, and DBD would've actually had some type of competition.

Camping and tunneling is an inherent abuse of killer power and unless you're stacked with meta perks (Which I don't run, because A) I don't need to and B) I find some meta combinations unfair) you're not getting that survivor off the hook without trading and even then that can get messy depending on the killer. Also keep in mind that I play solo queue most of the time which means my fat ass gotta get off my gen to check if the killer is camping or not. This wastes the time that I could be using to do gens to punish the killer for camping. And if you tunnel? Like legitimately tunneling. Not you ran back to a hook cuz you couldn't find a survivor at a gen and happened to come across the recently unhooked survivor instead of the one that did the unhooking kinda tunneling. You're honestly trash and deserve to be teabagged.

And Freddy/Spirit with Stridor are disgustingly OP and unhealthy for the game. If you play either of those when I make an effort to be conscious of perk choice...I'm teabagging you at the exit gate.

Sure, I could see camping & tunneling being a more valid reason for teabagging as you're repaying the favor of frustration but I'll never understand why you'd do that because someone is playing a specific killer. I hate Spirit with every cell in my body & never thought to do that once (even with Stridor).

  • @Orionbash said:

    This depends.

    Did you:

    1) Shake or nod your head at me?

    2) Facecamp or tunnel?

    3) Play Freddy or Spirit (with Stridor)?

If yes to any of the above and my team survives my ass is staying at the exit to teabag you for your toxicity. Toxicity is a two-way street. If not then I leave the match peacefully.

I'd understand the nodding/shaking of the head, but the killer having a certain playstyle and playing the game how they WANT shouldn't end up acquiring toxicity just because you didn't agree with it.

Imo that's just really entitled, because if they added Freddy in the game as a killer then people are obviously going to play him & if you're going to get mad and be toxic about that, I'm genuinely shocked.

  • This shouldn't be in the game, but it is. Therefore it isn't something that is reportable. Though I will say, people that do this are scum imo

Unfortunately the only thing you can do as killer in this situation is stop playing their games & they're either forced to progress the game by doing gens or by holding the game hostage. If they choose option 2, that is when you should report.

As a survivor (in your case), I imagine the killer really appreciates you giving them a sympathy kill & a nice message, so you have my respect. If you don't want to do this though, do the killer a favor & do gens so the game can end.

  • I don't have any crazy tips like @GodLikeTerror does because I'm not a Clown main, but I must agree that he is definitely fun to play. I mainly bought him for Kate as they came together but when I finally decided to try him out, I was surprised.

    • If you hit a survivor directly with your bottle, it'll interrupt whatever action they were doing & the effects are a bit stronger.
    • When coming across a jungle gym or a T/L, make sure you throw your bottles at any exits/vaults so if they try to leave, they get caught up in the smoke & you catch them.
    • Sometimes you can bait your bottles & survivors will tend to go in another direction to try and avoid them. If you have exhaust bottles, atleast 50% of the time they will try to Dead Hard before you can throw it. Learn to take advantage of this.
    • Last but not least, the Clown just had a rework for his speedy bottles so make sure you aren't giving survivors any accidental speed boosts. Use them to get to gens quicker.

It's 2:06am here. Queues have been good since last week. Queue time is less than 5 mins for me.

    Dang, it's 10:20 AM here.

Best of luck to your late night games though, especially with all the rainbow ranks lol

  • The reason why she is considered an underwhelming killer is because she is purely based around RNG. Sure she has traps she can put on survivors, but there is no guarantee that they will be on said survivor for more than a few seconds.

With this being said, if you aren't careful about getting it off asap, it does have a chance of activating. The trick is to leave it on your head, do gens & when it's activated you then go search for the key. Even with her best add-on to ultimately reduce the timer, you should still be able to get to each Jigsaw box in time.

Now if she decides to follow you around with your trap on eventually leading to your death because you had no time to try & get it off, she threw the game. It's almost the same as face-camping when you think about it because if she's pressuring a survivor with a trap on, she isn't putting pressure on the others.

Oh yeah, her crouch really sucks. But we already know that.

  • Lately there has been rainbow ranks & it doesn't seem to be getting any better, so I suggest you hang in there. It isn't fun to be teamed with garbage & it isn't fun to play against garbage.

  • All of the other options are just playstyles, which shouldn't be considered "toxic" given the fact that people should be able to play how they want without getting complaints.

However, letting all 4 survivors bleed out just completely wastes time & is very rude because we're just trying to get into another match. It is the same thing as survivors standing in the exit gate until EGC ends.

The only exception to this is when you cannot find the survivors on the ground, but I doubt you couldn't find a single one.

  • I would definitely say I'm playing more DBD than any other game right now, although I like to switch games very often. 2020 - now was/and is my "peak" for this game because before that, I never really gave it a chance.

With this being said, whenever I want to switch games because of boredom/frustration, I usually go to Overwatch.

This has been my experience so far with boops. Some of these choices are because I never see these guys in matches lol

  • Why haven't they hired you yet?

Love the changes to Trapper/Wraith/Demo the most. Those 3 killers really need to get some type of buff or rework.

Also having Deliverance & Borrowed Time work hand-in-hand with eachother sounds fun.

  • Love being in queue for Oni because that means I can jam out to his soundtrack in the meantime lol

I’m not sure either. Between the video games and movies someone could have trademarked him.

If he is public domain they could do a Slender Man chapter for free.

Don't get my hopes up like that :(

  • I'm a PS4 player, and it seems like every single match the survivors grab my hand and make me do a twirl for them. It's really annoying because if it wasn't for the auto-aim, I know I wouldn't have missed.

With this being said, I can almost always tell when a killer is on console because it's really easy to make them miss.

  • @SirCracken said:

For a limited event game mode, I'd make something for the Hallowed Blight. Where gens are replaced with pustular flowers that they collect the nectar from and deposit at the exit gates to eventually power them, while the killer can destroy the nectar or collect it for themselves to gain buffs, all while the flowers slowly refill with nectar over time.

For a permanent game mode, 1 survivor is randomly chosen as the "hope bearer" and must stay alive for X amount of time to power the gates. When the hope bearer gets downed, they are automatically hooked on a unique "entity hook" that they cannot be traditionally saved from, and several gens will spawn in the map that will free hooked survivor and will cause someone else to become the hope bearer. For as long as the hope bearer is hooked, an extended version of the end game collapse will count down and retain it's progress between hooks.

Obviously there would be way more detail should either of them be implemented than what I have just described, but tell me what you think from the overview.

I love both ideas! I will say though, I would be really stressed out if I was the hope bearer. Your team is relying on you a bunch & if you go down, you rely on them (which can be very bad when playing with randoms).

It might be difficult for any other killer that isn't Doc though, because I'd imagine the hope bearer would just hide the entire time so they stay alive. I know I would lol

Yeah I understand. When the montage is done, you better tell us!

    Is Slenderman copyrighted?

Isn’t he a public domain character?

Not sure. You'd think he'd be a public domain with how people use him but I couldn't answer that with confidence.

Well,in order to counter BBQ you waste a LOT of time not doing gens AND risk forcing the killer to proxy camp (because he might not see anyone with BBQ).

And Hex perks take a while to get found and destroyed (Well,as long as the totem spawn isn't too bad).

The survivors usually have to go out of their way to counter your perks while a killer with exhaustion addons doesn't have to in order to counter exhaustion perks

I agree it might be a tad bit easier for a Clown to throw his bottles at a survivor rather than a survivor finding his Hex, but once that Hex is gone, it's gone. Clown's add-on doesn't remove the survivors perk the entire game, as he could definitely miss/run out of bottles in some situations.

  • @SirCracken said:

Begin patching the game like my life depended on it and begin working on a new game mode.

A limited time gamemode every now n then would be amazing. Can I ask what you have in mind?

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

While it is nice to have exhaustion addons to deal with perks like dead heard,i also realize that 1 addon being able to counter 1 of 4 perks from survivors is too good.

Getting a decent anti-exhaustion perk would be more fair imo.

    I dunno..

If survivors can take away Hex perks & counter stuff like BBQ, shouldn't killers be able to have a chance at doing the same with exhaustion perks?

  • I've played against exhaustion bottles before, and let me say that they are really annoying.

With this being said, I do agree that we need more add-ons for exhaustion. As annoying as it is, it teaches survivors that you cannot always rely on second chances such as Dead Hard & need to learn to sometimes play without it.

  • I never use NOED but if I did & it never activated I would definitely feel embarrassed considering the fact that the survivors will probably glance at my build and realize lol

  • I don't play any different than I normally would but I will say 98% of my matches late at night are obvious SWFs.

With this being said, I try to avoid playing killer at night unless I'm absolutely craving it bc I don't feel like sweating my *ss off at 2am.

Who says it'll take a single day? A month at least.

While this goes, I would probably try to focus on partially addressing the most complained things that I agree with being problematic and that are easy to fix (f/e adding a disable trigger on DS or making Noed reveal itself when gates are powered)

Well, I did state that you only had one day.

Nonetheless though I really like the NOED idea.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

Lol, maybe change one perk. That most likely will have to get changed back because I overtuned it or created 7 bugs while doing so

There really isn't much you can do in a day. Especially if you have zero experience in the field. People really don't realise that it's quite a bit of work to make these kind of changes.

On a less serious note, change the hatch spawn mechanics. Make it only spawn if there is one survivor left or if all generators get done

All you'll need is lots of coffee & wikihow articles to help you out.

Leave the real devs to deal with the mess you've created the next day lol

Alright, well how about we fix the issues she has instead of removing her. I love her to death and I understand that her gameplay has issues that need to be addressed. I get that you're just joking about removing her but I'm serious when I say I'd go through depression if she was removed. My life sucks atm and Spirit is one of the only few things that's actually keeping me happy right now.

Yeah I didnt actually mean it. Do you remember the bug where you could hear her go past you when phasing? All they need to do is implement that and ta-daa, she's fixed.

Also I want to say I'm sorry life hasn't been treating you the best. This pandemic sure as hell hasn't helped.

  • imagine being carried 4 games in a row

I'm kidding. Their emblem system definitely needs improvement lol

It will take 6.5 minutes and your teammates will be:

    - Rank 18 Claudette with Botany Knowledge only

    - Rank 9 default Bill with no perks and no will to actually survive

    - rank 16 default Meg with a few tier 2 perks allowing her to Sprint Burst right into the killer and die even more quickly

6.5 minutes sounds too good to be true. It's usually 15 minutes if I'm lucky lol

    5. Play a few games of Friday The 13th

Why would you remove Spirit? I would be heartbroken and go through serious depression if she was removed.

Her biggest problem is that she has little to no indication about her phasing during chase. A lot of people including myself find this annoying because playing against her is just one big guessing game.

It doesn't help that I play against her almost every single game either.

    Buff Pig's crouch speed.

  • Slenderman doesn't sound like a bad idea. The more you look at him, the stronger he gets. It'll make for some fun mindgames imo

  • If you're able to make a montage out of your matches, then I feel like something is wrong.

I don't know about you, but I've noticed that facecampers aren't very common unless you're in the low low ranks or it's endgame.

I just hope you aren't BM'ing them, because then it's justified.

I mean, the guy gets paid to literally play DBD all day, why would he complain?

Sure he seems a genuinely nice guy, but people act as if he does this for charity or something. He's probably on good money.

Not only does he stream, but he also creates hours of guides and tier lists on his YouTube channel which definitely shows how passionate the guy is.

All he has to do is stream, the bare minimum, but he does a lot more. He isn't just in it for the money.

Not to mention, I cannot believe how he can play DBD pretty much everyday all day. That would drive me nuts.

  • One scary moment off the top of my head was a long time ago when I was at school on my lunch break in the cafeteria and all of a sudden I look out the glass and see just about everyone on campus running as fast as they can to get indoors. Literal people were being stepped on because of how desperate these people were.

Nobody in the cafeteria including myself knows what's going on until someone comes over the intercom and instructs us to put the tables on the ground and hide behind them as a "barricade" because a school shooter may be on campus & they were going to investigate the situation.

After staying like that for a few minutes and seeing a bunch of panic on Instagram stories, turns out it was firecrackers in the boys locker room and word got around fast that it sounded like gunshots. How fun.

  • Love Otzadarva. He's very passionate about what he does & genuinely has fun with it.

Not to mention, he taught us all how to do the reverse chainsaw into Quentin hiding in a corner.

  • Haha, I can relate when I'm killer. Hate playing "trap" killers such as Hag & Trapper because all of them eventually get called out before they ever got a chance to be useful.

I actually rather find solo more fun than being in a SWF because I'm not told whenever the killer is coming my way & I feel more accomplished when escaping.

  • @kamisen said:

That’s the thing: I know all of this but still find myself feeling sad when being chastised. I win far more than I lose and consistently sit at red ranks. I still feel stressed and bad in a way that I never experience as survivor.

Love Otz btw. Such a wholesome dude <3

For me personally, I don't really feel bad about the way I have to play sometimes, but instead I'll have a bit of anxiety before I start a match because I'm usually worried that I'm going to make a fool out of myself & lose, so I feel you in a way.

  • Dweet usually gets hatch if I'm killer.

Dweet always gets babysitter treatment when I'm survivor.

As for everyone else, I don't usually judge but I will say that the tryhards are almost always the ones playing Nea so I slightly dislike her more than others.

Oh yeah, Bill is cute to go against but not to be teamed with. I'd say 99% of the Bills I've seen are the absolute definition of 'baby survivor'.

  • Please don't let other people choose how you play. You don't need to follow any rules, you don't need to play nice. You wouldn't lose as much if you didn't let others dictate how you play.

I watch DBD streamers such as Otzdarva all the time & in a lot of matches they usually have to get somebody out of the game before the game is lost.

With this being said, I wouldn't recommend being a toxic BM'ing camper, but if it's how you want to play then nobody should have a say in that other than you, as long as you aren't breaking any actual rules.

  • I can do everything I can to try & win a match for my teammates to just be useless, which'll usually cause us all to almost always end up dying.

With this being said, I cannot control how they play, so if I feel like I put a lot of effort into the game and pipped up, that's a win for me because I tried as hard as I could.

  • Over a year ago when I was a brown rank killer I used to do this whenever I'd come across someone who could lead me on a chase for more than like 30 seconds. This was because it was frustrating that no matter what I tried, they just had another tile sitting right next to the one they just left. My only goal at that point was to catch that survivor and watch them die. I didn't care about the other 3 escaping.

Needless to say, I stopped doing that & it was the best decision I've ever made as killer because I have definitely improved since then.

The ONLY time I ever do this now is if a survivor has really been getting on my nerves with all of their BM'ing, which isn't often but it does happen. Sometimes they just need to get what they deserve, and that's a de-pip.

  • Unless it's blatantly obvious that even the killer catches on, I usually wouldn't know if you've had any useless teammates because I'm busy doing my own thing throughout the game (such as chasing people, damaging gens).

Therefore if I give the most "useless" guy Hatch, I understand how you'd definitely feel frustrated but there's no point in directly blaming killers especially when they haven't been babysitting you all game to know that.

  • I love all of the Saw references on the new 'The Game' map. Stuff such as the wrack, the girl that was frozen to death, etc. There was already a lot with the entire map obviously being based around the movies but I like that they added even more.
