Slenderman sounds really cool. I used to be a huge fan of Creepypasta when I was younger, so it would be kind of intriguing to see what power they would give him. Perhaps everytime you look at him, he gets faster?
If not for Slenderman, Springtrap sounds really cool. Don't know why everyone thinks FNAF is purely a child's game.
Lastly, Jason would be dope as well but I know he isn't coming for a long time due to lawsuits & licensing issues, so I didn't even bother choosing him.

As a Trapper main, I can confidently say he is absolute trash. I love him and his kit to bits but he needs a buff so bad, he's the only killer that wastes their own time getting their power for a small chance of getting benefit from it (all others that have to collect get an immediate or easily achievable bonus from it). He needs to become more efficient most immediately (traps toward centre, yellow bag basekit) and he needs an addon rework.
The only killer that comes close to how trash Trapper is, is Wraith, but at least his power has guaranteed function (in some matches I can't even get some of my traps because survivors swamp me too early and leaving to get them is a 100% loss)
that first sentence made me spit out my drink lmao

Tend. But it's not what really really good survivors do. If they see you're an oni they'll run to the closest jungle gym, as soon as they hear the terror radius. They might even wait for corrupted intervention to run out, it doesn't cost anything but wasting a killer's perk for free.
Let me just say, I would never run Corrupted Intervention on Oni. I don't think it's a very good perk & should only be used for setup killers.
Anyways you have a point, but committing to one chase through a jungle gym isn't bad as long as you know the dynamics of it. Even if gens fly by, a single use of your Blood Fury could mean a game ending if you know how to use it correctly. It doesn't always work, but I think Oni is reliable in this aspect.
btw insidious on oni sounds really funny considering the fact that he's so tall lmao

When he gets his power, he keeps going. But until you get your ability, he's just a m1 killer. If survivors don't give you the first hit you're screwed. Shack pallet, Single pallets, Jungle gyms pallets are completely safe. You need blood, and gens get done, fast
I agree he's an M1 killer without Blood Fury, but the same could be said about many other killers.
Filling up your gauge is fairly easy, and usually takes about 2 hits. Pressuring people off of gens usually will get you a hit anyways because survivors tend to be cocky.
Needless to say, if you're worried about gens, make a 3 gen for yourself and slug away with your power (bonus points for Infectious Fright).

I still think that after the buff to invisibility he's gonna be trash. No chasing power. 0.
His uncloaking is TOO ######### SLOW. TOO MUCH. To do a proper assault against a sprint burst you NEED silent bell. You just need it to do efficient uncloaks
Tell me about it. Wraith needs a pick-me-up and he needs it fast.
-
His hit boxes aren't nearly as bad as Huntress, so there's that. Not to mention, his terror radius music eventually starts off pretty quiet, given the already small radius.
This definitely gives you an advantage, especially if you're running M&A. Deathslinger is very tall though, so I wouldn't rely on it.
-
He's balanced when playing against average players, but if he plays against anything better than that, he's trash.
This is because his chainsaw is so prone to latching onto objects & forcing you into a tantrum.
It's even worse on console with auto-aim and survivors 360'ing you into a tree just for you to be forced to throw another tantrum.
-
Hag is completely balanced, and the devs should take inspiration from her when buffing Trapper.
The only thing that would make her OP in my book is her teleportation distance add-on & Make Your Choice.
-
I'm a bit biased since I cannot play Billy to save my life, but I think he's trash in terms of both the learning curve and even after you get good with him.
Survivors with common sense can easily dodge his chainsaw sprint by just not running in a straight line and take advantage of LOS. The only thing that would prevent this is if they were caught off guard in a open area.
With this being said, his turning add-ons definitely make him balanced imo, but without it, I don't think he's very good.
-
Just like Trapper, he is absolute trash. Literal definition of an M1 killer. It doesn't help that you can be spotted from so far away with your "invisibility", but his slowdown & wait when ringing his bell just makes everything about him worse than it already was.
-
I think his snares are terrible & his fake pallets are too obvious. But when playing against average survivors, he's definitely OP.
The fact that he has snares to help him in chase, map mobility (teleporting) AND the lullaby to confuse survivors sold me on the fact that he is slightly OP compared to other killers.
-
This one was hard for me. Playing against good players makes him seem balanced, but when he's going against average players I feel like he's a bit OP, especially with Whispers.
-
His Night Shroud being exposed is very clunky, but besides that, he's pretty balanced. He's the superior stealth killer in the game imo
Oh yeah, and he can tbag. Can't get more balanced than that.
-
She's trash if you don't know how to play her, but once you do the reward is almost too much. Therefore I'd say she's balanced because while she's OP in the hands of the right people, most people don't know how to play her anyways, including myself.
-
Trapper is one of the most, if not the most trashiest killer in the game. His kit is such a joke & only really good players can make use of it.
The only other killer that might take his spot of the worst imo is Wraith, but he's getting a buff soon.
If they don't rework Trapper or atleast give him some kind of buff in the near future, I have lost all faith in this game.
-
Clown has officially become a doormat for survivors to step on after realizing how much of a clown he really is.

Whispers my friend learn to use it and you'll fall in love with it like a cool ocean breeze on a hot summers day
Doctor with Whispers is *chefs kiss*
-
Most of the time, you have to purposely de-pip just to learn a new killer. It's kind of sad when you think about it.
But needless to say, I genrush too, and I'm sure anyone with half a brain would, because that's how you win the game as a survivor.
I play killer all the time and some games end in under 8 minutes. It sucks, but you gotta bame the devs, not the players. If it is in the game, it will be used either with you or against you.
-
I don't typically do this because I tend to want to play different survivors almost every match to keep me from getting bored, and having builds I don't usually play would probably put me off from doing that.
But I will say I sometimes tend to run Santa Dwight. I have the Dwight-in-a-Box cosmetic for him and my build is:
Plunderer's Instinct, Ace in the Hole, Appraisal & Bond, that way I can go bring my fellow teammates some presents.
Also, I recommend Windows of Opportunity over Lightweight for your Kate build. You already have Dance with Me for erasing scratchmarks. It is better to be safe than sorry by knowing where a vault is 100% of the time rather than guessing, even if you know the map well.
(I run this same exact build on my Kate lol)

Doesn't Windows let you see dropped pallets? But that could help
Mindbreaker been wanting to use it my self but idk how long it could be 10 seconds maybe?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1895167#Comment_1895167
Distortion should have maybe 5 tokens and hiding near the killer for a certain time should give more tbh
Windows does let you see dropped pallets, but using up another perk slot for something as little as that is something I cannot justify tbh
-
Survivor Perk:
How do ya like me now? - Survivors can now grab Hatchetts out of lockers & defend themselves.
Everytime they land a hit on the killer, the survivors gain another hook state (as in 4 hooks to kill them, and so on).
Killer Perk:
Taste of yer own medicine - Tired of survivors slamming pallets down on your head? No fear because common sense is here!
Everytime a survivor tries to slam a pallet down, you do it first. They get stunned for 3/5/7 seconds and you gain the ability to tbag like Ghostface. If you're already Ghostface, you're given a flashlight to blind them.
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
It's survivors doing objectives. When some less-able killers cannot apply enough pressure to prevent a "genrush," they blame "toxic salty genrush survivors."
I'm not exactly great, but even I know how to pressure survivors off of generators. It's not terribly hard.
It's 100% not toxic at all, but in some situations (specifically when they're all split up on different gens), you cannot pressure everyone off without them hopping back on as soon as you leave. Best thing you could do in that scenario is 3-gen, but a lot of people don't know that.
-
Off the top of my head:
For survivor, Any Means Necessary needs to be able to see dropped pallets around you. How am I supposed to know if a pallet right next to me needs to be reset unless I deliberately get off a gen just to look for it? Even if it's a small radius, we should be able to see the auras.
For killer, Mindbreaker needs to have a longer exhaustion time for survivors after they hop off a gen because all they have to do is hear the terror radius and step off for a few seconds before the killer gets there. Not to mention, this perk actually favors Sprintburst players as it basically 99's it.
-
When a shirtless David boots the snoot, I roar profusely in flirtation & nod my head over and over again.
I bring him over to the hook and say:
"Entity, I finally found myself a boyfriend. He boops my snoot and tries on my hats. Can you believe it??"
The Entity isn't so sure if David is worthy of the snoot, and wants to "inspect" him. Therefore I place him on the hook and watch the Entity take him away. It wasn't until I saw his soul float out of his body that I knew what I had done.
-
Oni is one of the best killers in the game, but it definitely doesn't mean he's OP. When facing good survivors, they can easily dodge his attacks while in Blood Fury (if they're not in a deadzone).
Needless to say, I giggled when I saw you compare Billy to Oni, because I absolutely suck at Billy.
-
I'm not sure, but I don't see why not. I see posts all the time here about a FNAF chapter and nobody seems to bat an eye. I think just the devs aren't supposed to say anything (for obvious reasons).
Though I will say, posting about the same speculations over and over eventually gets annoying, so be careful.
-
you forgot object lol

DBD is like flipping a coin, the teammates you get is all based around luck, as sad as it sounds.
Think of it like an actual horror movie. There are 4 friends trying to run from the killer, but the killer is catching up quick. 3 of you run faster, and the other 1 trips and falls. Do you think the others are going to stop and help? Probably not, as they all will end up dying too. This applies to DBD because at the end of the day, YOU are trying to escape and your teammates escaping is just icing on the cake.
With this being said, sometimes you can't blame your teammates for how they play. They're trying to escape just like you, even if they aren't doing it efficiently. If the match ends up going south, you have to just focus on pipping up & finding hatch.
All in all, I play solo 80% of the time since my friends don't like DBD as much as I do, and I win 7/10 games if I'm having a good day. It really isnt as bad as people say it is if they don't take it so seriously.
The little things such as a Dweet sacrificing his life for me in the endgame sticks with me, and you cannot get that when playing in a SWF. Not to mention, winning in solo makes me feel a lot more accomplished.

Went against a full OoO swf on Midwitch so I feel your pain. Have this to help cheer you up.
idk if it cheered OP up but I love this lol
-
I wouldn't say I 100% main Oni because I like to bounce around and play different killers almost every match, but I definitely find Oni one of the most fun killers to play in terms of his power. Not to mention, I really like his cosmetics & design as well.
If it wasn't for Oni, I'd probably have to go with Ghostface. He's a normal M1 killer in chase which sucks but I like sneaking up on people. I can't do this as efficiently with Michael since he's too tall and Pig because she takes too long to un-crouch imo.
-
I'll step a tad bit outside of the question and tell you what it feels like to be the killer who gets into a game with a person you slaughtered the previous game.
This Kate with a key took me to Haddonfield & had balanced landing, yadda yadda yadda. Needless to say, I tunneled her out of the game because of the key & still feel no regrets.
After the game, I get a voice message telling me to kill myself & something about how she hopes my family dies. I'm taken aback because I never get voice messages but ended up just laughing it off because I must've really pushed some buttons lol
I decide to switch to survivor, and guess who's in my lobby? The same Kate. This time she has a flashlight and clicks the killer the entire game despite dropping like a fly and ending up dying first.
It was honestly quite funny, but sad the more I thought about it. That Kate tried so hard to make people feel miserable and failed endlessly.
-
My best advice for this situation is to find a 3-gen and stick to it. Instead of chasing survivors off gens that are on separate sides of the map from eachother, chase them off gens that are really close together.
With this being said, since you have pop, don't be afraid to chase survivors a little far from your 3-gen. Just make sure you know when to drop a chase and whatnot. Once you catch someone, you not only get a hook, but you have pop to make all of the progress they've done while you were gone practically disappear.
If you're really worried about them hopping on the gen as soon as you leave, equip Surveillance on your build. It's literally made for situations like this. Good luck!
-
Of course Nurse is considered the hardest, but I can't play Billy to save my life. Even with his best turning addon, I play like absolute dogsh*t.

No other killer has made me scream aloud more than a Ghostface in stealth mode lunging from the side of the screen to stab me. I'll be working on a gen or hiding since I saw a survivor bolt off somewhere, when all the sudden he jumps into my screen stabbing me, and my ensuing scream scares the hell out of my cat sitting with me
Even though Jumpscare Myers scares me more, Ghostface definitely gives me the most anxiety when playing.

I was playing Bubba. Facecamped the first survivor I downed. Got a second kill during EGC. I figured since they didn't want to play a normal game, I wouldn't give them a normal game.
Sometimes survivors just need a taste of their own medicine lol
-
Survivors are able to grab the hatchets out of the lockers & defend themselves.
There's a catch though, the killer is able to take them from you and become Huntress 2.0
On a real note though, this reminds me of this video lmao: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Im0OvndEuK8 (2:05 mark)
-
mb I forgot to add Ghostface
-
I've done it as a survivor, and I've done it as killer. Needless to say, I'm not proud of it, and haven't done it in awhile.
Do I think the devs will ban you for it? I seriously doubt it unless a streamer brings it to attention or something. It is bannable, but actual cheaters don't even get banned half the time.
Don't do it often & think of others.
The only exception imo is if your teammate(s) bodyblock you, sandbag you, etc.

I could literally go on for hours about how this isnt a children's game. You clearly know nothing if you think this game is "for kids". Kids play it, because parents and the kids don't know what the games are about. If you knew half the things about the game you would change your opinion. Kids play DbD but it doesn't mean its a kids game. The game just caught on with kids, but is not advertised/ment to be played by children.
100% this. I don't want a FNAF chapter as much as other people do, but I don't understand why people put it down as a "child's game" and belittle it. If they actually knew the lore, they would feel like a moron. I do think FNAF eventually catered to kids as they were the main audience, but it hasn't always been like that.
-
To be a sneaky snek, you gotta become the sneaky snek.
Urban Evasion - Slithering around the map like the real sneaky snek you are, you hop on a secluded gen. Wait a minute.. do you hear a heartbeat?
Sprint Burst - AAGGH! The killer comes up behind you, and you get hit. Now you're running for your life, like nothing depends on it. Luckily, you know just where to go..
Inner Strength - You run to your undercover base to heal up, but the killer doesn't know that you also have something else up your sleeve..
Red Herring - So the killer forced you to retreat, huh? Well guess what, you blew up one of his prized possessions. Take that! Now do this over and over again until the killer has gen PTSD.
-
Michael as of right now, is one of the worst killers in the game. They need to give him a buff, not a nerf. With this being said, they shouldn't change his add-ons until he gets one.
Not to mention, I don't know about you guys, but Michaels are very rare to see. I'll see a Huntress 4 in every 10 games compared to Michael. I don't know if it's because he's DLC, or just because he obviously sucks, but not enough people play Michael as much as Huntress for him to be top priority (in terms of add-ons).
-
Perfect time to let the baby Dweets and Megheads have hatch. They're too cute!
-
I'm going to hope you're memeing about the donation part.
Anyway, I'm obviously going to forgive the devs. They are people just like us and have their own lives, therefore we shouldn't be so entitled to them being perfect with every chapter/update/decision-making.
Do I think they don't listen to their playerbase as much as they should? Yes.
Do I think we should express that? Yes.
But should we be awful human beings about it? No.
Express your opinion and leave it at that. If you want to quit DBD, then quit. Just don't take it out on others. Be civil.
-
Pretty self explanatory if you ask me.
-
Oni is by far one of the most fun killers to play, and also the most rewarding. Sprinting around the map at super-speed looking like death itself feels amazing, and nobody can disagree. Slap Infectious Fright onto your build when playing him (specifically in Blood Fury) and you'll be set.
Though I will say Pyramid Head is promising as well. A great thing about him is his cages. Either use it to avoid DS or get someone "hooked" faster. But I find his mobility hurts him, and Oni fixes that.
-
When a killer thinks I have Dead Hard and is waiting it out, I click at them as in me telling them "cmon dude I don't have it, hit me already".
-
Unfortunately, I get the impression that toxicity comes around and goes around. If said killer was bullied a game previously, there's definitely a chance that they will do the same exact thing the next game to make other people feel as miserable as they do. It's quite sad to think about, but it happens.
I've played against a Huntress who I could tell was tilted from the last game, and she brought iri head + belt with a mori (before mori changes). Somebody looped her for literally 1 minute and she DC's. She was ready to slaughter us all then and there because she clearly had a bad game previously, and then that happens. She was tired of it.
The same could be said for survivors, with a great example being what @Rivyn said.
At the end of the day, some people are going to be rotten apples and there's nothing you can really do about it other than NOT doing the same thing they did. Don't let the cycle continue.
-
I'd say chases last the same amount of time they usually do (if done correctly by a survivor), but the changes have made said chases seem more fair. To me, it's a psychological thing. If a survivor outplays you because they simply outplayed you, you probably wouldn't get as mad as you would if a survivor had lots of resources/second chances (ex. pallets spawning very close to eachother, not perks).
Less frustration means less complaining, and less complaining means a happy community because the majority of players think the game is in a good spot.
-
Survivors are rioting.
They've given up. Whether they live or die, they are just put into another trial. Enough is enough!
