DBD is now a 3v1 or 2v1 game with all the frequent DCs. BP for a disconnect is a JOKE. It ruins the game for the survivors.

Please do gens.
I had a game where wraith chased me the entire game and my team only got 1 gen done in that time. Insane.
Funny how SWF is overpowered and Solo Q is a Derp-fest. There is rarely a middle.
-
Give starstruck a smaller specific distance radius instead of the terror radius. If the purpose is to stop body blocking, then this will work. I have had many games where I am doing a gen and the killer comes slightly nearer while carrying someone and everyone working on the gen is exposed.

I like it, survivors can cry but I'm already in another lobby.
Most survivors don't really care what the killer thinks Derphead. They just want to talk amongst themselves. This is more for survivors since there are more of them.
-
This is all that solo Q needs (sarcasm)! Another reason for survivors to not save a hooked person or stay hidden behind a bush.
Is BHVR trying to discourage saves? With Iron grasp, the killer can walk half way across the map and AOE a bunch of survivors with star struck.

So how long until the game is E for everyone?
Agreed! There are already a bunch of kids playing. The rating is effectively meaningless at this time.

Imagine fixing not your post correct to english?

If you think using self care is fine and don't care about your teammates points or your wasting time...
THEN don't be mad when other survivors don't save you on hook when it's not in their interest to risk themselves to help you out.
All those survivors waiting at the gate to run out while you are stuck on the hook thinking "why is no one coming back to save me?"
The answer is simple... There are ME players (self-care) and there are WE players (BT).

There are map with less than 8 pallet. Your solution isn't really applicable in those case. You would empty the map in no time doing that. Then you lose automatically.
Yea! I was joking...
-
The Killer should be able to open the exit gate AT ANY TIME in the match.
-
The game REWARDS players with high latency... Shouldn't it be the other way around?
The SOLUTION is simple...
Just drop the pallets BEFORE getting into a chase.

It's a double edged sword. No way tp communicate effectively pre match. This goes both ways. But from the survivor perspective, you don't know if the killer is going to to slug at 5 gens, tunnel the first guy out of the game, camp, or choose some strategy that will significantly hurt the team if you aren't pushing gens. So to avoid a likely loss, you go into the match assuming the killer is going to play like a hard-ass.
Same with killer, many games I lose but also many games I find myself with a quick snowball or just happen upon the low rank survivor that puts them behind the 8ball. If in pregame you could get a vibe against what you're up against it may effect how serious you take the game. That's why killers feel compelled to slug early and that's why survivors ignore totems, chests, often times let their teammates go into phase two if they can crank a couple gens out.
Both sides probably don't want to sweat, but when they don't they often pay for it.
Malloymk is absolutely correct! Doing 2 or 3 gens at the start is a hedge against having bad teammates or a killer who dominates the mid-game. 3 survivors can finish 2 gens and 2 survivors can maybe get 1 gen late game. Pallets can be squandered. Maps have been nerfed for survivors. With DCs and suicides, a game can go south for survivors in a hurry.
-
It's totally bannable!!! Everyone will report you... I did it so much that Matt Cote came to my house and took my console away.
WORK-AROUND: If you stand with one foot on the basement top step and one foot on the shack floor then you are OK. DO NOT put both feet on the basement steps though because Matt will know and he will come for your console or unhook your internet from his base in Canada.
-
The community has been asking for this for years. BHVR does not seem interested in getting this done.

@Dreamnomad said:
It is always okay to leave other survivors behind. That's a personal choice for each survivor to make. I would say that if you have no intention of attempting a rescue and you are at an exit gate the polite thing to do would be wait until the other survivors have made any rescue attempts before leaving. Just being on the map increases their chance of success since the killer doesn't know where you are or what you are doing. But simple math would tell the killer if one is dead, one is hooked, and one left then the killer only has to worry about one survivor attempting a rescue and that attempt is virtually doomed from the get-go. But other than that, yeah, make up your own mind whether it is worth it or not based on your own criteria. Don't feel obligated or bullied into doing something you don't want. Really, that applies to all aspects of life.
I would add that by staying in the match (EVEN IF you are not one of the players who are attempting the save), you can provide support by
- HEALING teammates who come near the exit gate
- taking a protection hit for the injured survivor who is heading to the exit gate
- looking around the immediate area for a lit totem (if that applies)
- Opening an exit gate for the survivors who are being pursued by the killer.
IF the remaining survivors are at the gate (No one is going for a save which usually requires at least 2 survivors) and the killer is camping THEN by all means LEAVE.
-
@JHondo said:
Camping Bubba, leave, sorry to the schmuck on the hook but it's not worth going for the rescue if you can escape and prevent the killer from getting more kills and BPs.
If the hooked person is staying in the game then they are most likely giving you time to do gens and leave. Don't reward camping behavior with additional points for the killer. We all fill this role from time to time. Consider it a worthy sacrifice.
-
Stay if you are
- Not injured
- Have Borrowed time equipped
- Have other healthy survivors who are also helping with the save
- Are not on death hook (still you could take a protection hit if the recently unhooked survivor is being pursued)
- If the exit gate is near the hooked person
- If the person is not in the basement with a 1 shot-down killer staring at them
- If NOED is not in play
Just a few thoughts

Always.
Are you saying that it is always appropriate to leave with another survivor on the hook?
-
You are paying the price for all the Nasty killers out there.
- Since survivors don't know who (person playing killer) they are versing until after the match, then many assume it is an ######### sweat fest and play accordingly.
- If survivors had a bad match or several bad matches, they are taking it out on you.
- There is no "casual play" lobby for people who want a less sweaty experience, so everyone is thrown together (including the e-sport wanna-be survivors)
This is not a complete list but just some observations...

Not too concerned about what they do with this, but IMO it's not needed.
Keep an eye on the Aura. It's there for you to look for. And if it isn't because of Knockout or Blindness, I don't really think the UI should be handholding you there as it's giving you information that would have otherwise been masked by a Perk/status.
It was a feature that was ALREADY in the OLD UI. I'm not asking for something new. I am asking for them to NOT REMOVE something that was there and is now REMOVED. It is something that was useful and didn't require survivors to have to keep visual tabs on other survivor's aura. Just because YOU may not use it, that doesn't mean that OTHER people aren't using it.
I have 2,700 hours in the game as survivor and don't need HAND-HOLDING. I don't want to be forced to look at slugged survivors as the only indication of when they are being picked up and carried ESPECIALLY when it was a feature BEFORE the change.

Survivor is LESS Stressful than killer. It's not easier.
If it were easier than more people would have achieved the Rank 1 status. Look up the stats for the killer and survivor achievement.

I disagree as a solo queue player. The survivors that actually do most of the work, ie gens and looping the killer usually die more often than the ones who play immersive. This bug just benefits people that stay alive, not people that actually play well
I agree with you. I do gens and loop the killer then eventually get caught (bloodlust or desync) and am either tunneled to death, farmed on the hook or not saved at all (I run kindred btw). I am out of the match early while the other survivors are hiding behind a rock or looking for mushrooms (crouching).
In order to pip, you need to stay in the game and without SUPPORT from the other survivors, it is difficult to do that. There is a difference between BEING CARRIED by teammates and DISTRIBUTING the LOAD so we can stay in the game long enough to gain emblem points.
Add into that the weird changes from the patch with turning, juking and desync and it is a sh$t show.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Yes, forget about your teammates. They're only there to contribute to the main objective and distract the killer. Sure you might save them a few times but only strategically, same thing goes with leaving them to die. You're the only player who matters in this game.
And don't even bother saving them at EGC, that's usually a waste and will get both of you killed in solo queue.
I hope all survivors don't share you're view and I guess you don't ever run BT or other altruism perks because it's not a personal benefit.
I am a red rank player and enjoy going back for players on hook at EGC. I don't like seeing players run out of the exits as soon as possible. Denying a camping killer their last kill is one of the best challenges in the game.

I went between a rank 3 and 4, now rank reset has put me at a rank 8 with survivors between rank 10 and rank 16, at rank 3 and 4 I probably won like 60% of my games because the other survivors at that rank knew how to rotate, they knew how to run the killer, they just knew how to play the game, now at rank 8 I've been winning about 30% of my games. I mean these lower ranks are terrible what's even worse is their putting us against between rank 3 and 1, now how in the hell is that even remotely fair
You are so right! The 8 -16 rank is killing me. These players don't know how to do anything I feel like it's 1v1.
In addition, factor in:
- No 360s
- Inability to turn quickly (hard to juke) due to the new animation
- Desync hits (getting hit from around a corner 7 feet away)
It is a very steep hill to climb to get back to red ranks.

agreed, not to the same degree though. For survivors, the slower turning, the weird movement, no 360s and the hit registration are affecting the survivors more at the moment.

Long story short I unhooked safe, did gens, totems trying not to gen rush, healed, everything a survivor should do unfortunately the doctor we played had our number, all survivors spawned by each other so three survivors hopped on one gen I stayed close to help progression on the gen because I had prove thyself, I'm guessing the doctor had that perk that let's you know when two people are working on one gen and basically it was a snowball effect once he got going, we completed one gen two survivors died immediately, two survivors left 4 gens my only thought was may the best men win the other survivor ends up in chase, I like to be by the exit gate just in case the doctor finds the hatch first I can immediately start working on the door if I felt I didn't put in enough work during the game, all of sudden out of nowhere the other survivor turned the corner and pointed me out to the killer of course the killer downed me, like I'm not suppose to try to escape I guess instead I'm suppose to do 4 gens with two people, survivor points at me I point at the survivor I get slugged survivor runs, oh the best part that I forgot to mention was that I healed that same survivor at end game when both other survivors died I could've left him injured to give myself more of an advantage but I wanted to give the other survivor a chance as well, killer let's me wiggle out we both find that survivor lol he gets downed I'm teabagging the survivor killer let's me get the survivor off the hook slugs him again survivor dies killer slugs me gives me hatch but I probably would've gotten hatch anyway the hatch spawned right where i was in the basement, I had 30 thousand something points the killer only had 28 something points so I'm noticing the game favors the person with the most points most of the time so
Try some carriage returns next time. It's easier to read

If a killer is face camping i kill myself simple as that🤷♂️
For that matter, why do anything for anyone else if it doesn't benefit you? That mentality is better served in a game that is not team focused where you can solely focus on YOU. Killers don't rely on anyone else in the game...maybe that is a better role.
Anyone who plays a team game and relies on their teammates to help them and do objectives BUT suicides as soon as they are in a situation where selflessness will help the team and punish the killer BECAUSE it is not personally gratifying is not a TEAM player.
The game is balanced around 4 survivors. Counterplay to face camping IS to hang on and let the team do gens and get out. The killer gets only 1 kill and they get few points. The sooner people start consistently doing this, the sooner the killers will abandon this strategy.
I don't want to play with survivors who have an egocentric mindset and leave as soon as they want without consideration for the other 3 survivors playing the game.
It would be interesting to see personal stats for each survivor in lobby such as # suicides and #DCs in the last 2 weeks. It will never happen but then we could root out the quitters...
-
In the old UI you could DEFINITELY see when someone was being carried to a hook. The survivor's bar would glow bright red. Just watch any streamer's clips. This would give you a chance to hop into a locker to avoid B&C.
-
I feel like I just played 3 times more games than I have. My eyes are tired and having to dart to all the corners of the screen is disorienting when playing. It's just not a good design. It's not a "getting used to" thing!

@[Deleted User] said:
If they do it they'll have to set a maximum distance as well. On indoor maps and on maps like Swamp and Red Forest it's a free escape if the killer closes the hatch. Grim Pantry's doors are usually so far away that the only killer that has some chance of patrolling is Billy.
I agree a min and a max to setup a situation that allows for some strategy on both parties.

They need to make struggling automatic so they aren't able to suicide. Sadly though while they have the option not to if they don't want to play then they're going to do it. I honestly think though that even if they did change this if someone really didn't want to play in the match then they would either just stand there and tab out of the game till they are hooked and killed or they would just run at the killer.
I agree. Anything is better than what we have now. Even if the killer has to down them again and hook for a few seconds, it's a few more than we get now.

Look at it this way. They're either going to be awful or disgustingly OP.
If they're awful:
- They could lead the killer to you by accident. They're bots after all, they don't know better.
- Chases last literally 2 seconds if the killer has common sense.
- They could either sandbag you or leave you one-hooked.
- They could stealth around the entire game & not do anything to help the team.
- Etc.
If they're OP:
- They never blow up gens, which is completely unrealistic.
- They always know when/and where the killer is coming from & make no mistakes.
- They might mess up routing but they'll always know where the next pallet is instead of actually having to look for it like a normal person would have to.
- Etc.
My main point with all of this is that no matter how good or bad the bot is, it will never truly be balanced & wouldn't make sense. If they're bad, they play like brown ranks and screw you over. If they're good they'll play like cheater because they always know what to do compared to an actual person who has to think about it. Not to mention, there are ranks in this game. Is the bot going to have difficulty settings or something?
Everyone has their own opinion on these things so you probably still won't agree with me but hopefully you see my POV better now.
Thanks for the thoughtful response. You make several good points.

Atleast they would try to do better.
It would at least stop the ridiculous salt that some other survivors or killers in the post game chat try to get away with.
I have had matches where I did 3 gens, cleansed 2 totems and unhooked a couple times and some rando survivor accuses me of crouching around in the corner all match when they have no idea who did what.

I play survivor 80% of the time & don't want bots because they're known to be stupid and predictable. Of course it sucks if someone ragequits but I genuinely don't think AI is going to help.
When Fortnite added bots, I stopped playing and never looked back.
So having another survivor (bot) running around doing gens or taking up the killer's time is WORSE than having 1 less survivor in the match? I don't understand that reasoning.

Hag games seem to end with survivors getting VERY FEW points because many have been slugged for most of the game and few chase points.
Survivor play around hag does not reward points. This is an issue. The games are also drawn out and if you are slugged, are boring AF.
Survivor play around hag are all the things that people COMPLAIN about (the crouching, the slow pace of the game (for survivors slugged or watching the crouch parade), the camping, the SLUGGING).
We ridicule survivors for having URBAN EVASION and bringing flash lights into matches BUT then say "just use URBAN" when talking about going against a HAG.
I'd like to see more points awarded for being slugged and maybe for popping HAG traps. Anything to have the survivor scoring reflect the play against hag.
