Which killers have you dropped and what new ones do you main now?
I use hag and wraith now since I dont want to disappoint and get at least 4 stacks of bbq and 2 kills.
A bonus is not giving chaser bonuses with these two killers...yes run that loop or run into my next trap🤑.
If you’re not at the point where you’re only maiming nurse then you’re far to low to complain. Imagine having to only play as one killer just to earn a 4K in this grossly imbalance d as hit of a game. I use to be a trapper main. Set my traps down while corrupted was on the go along why jolly way. Now I’m being forced into a 3 min chase at the start of the game and after I down that survivor 3 gens are already done. So my advice is to git gud with nurse if you want to have fun. Or be bullied by a 4 swf squad that’ll just make fun of you on their twitch as the make money.

These past few days I've been robbed way too many ######### hits lunging when a survivor miscalculates a pallet drop, so why should I be punished? Isn't it as easy as encouraging sooner drops instead of making the pallet hit always the priority?
It happens literally every single match for me no matter if I use m1, chainsaw or whatever, the worst part is that I can still hear the injuring sound so clearly the game knows that I've hit the survivor in my screen.
I know this thing was implemented in the recent patch, but why should the game always favor the survivor when they are in control of this IF they drop sooner? I know you can't always drop sooner in cases like if the killer is right behind your back, but honestly this feature seems like going a bit too far imo.
This alone is already a big issue by itself for me, but on top of this pinhead is bugged, freddy is bugged, hit detection is messed as ######### (just like always anyway, im tired of hitting someone with a huntress haatchet and hearing the splash sound only to not deal any damage at all).
What's going on here? I main killer but even when I play survivor for the whole night with my friends i never feel as robbed as when im playing killer
Hey the devs implemented a new bull ######### system called a roll back!!! That means even tho you hit a survivor as they’re dropping a pallet no matter what they’re not gonna be injured!! This is to insure that the survivors have a better time than you of course. Why would bhvr give a single ######### about killers and their struggles? Oh!! I know probably because there’s more survivors than killers and pleasing the bigger audience makes sales better!!! Yeah, welcome to dbd. A game that constantly disappoints!

Yeah, sbmm has showed me how insanely unbalanced this entire game is. Killer is literally at the mercy of survivors and devs don’t seem to give a ######### other than making money off of ######### dlcs like hell raiser… (what a joke that is)..but I’m praying this game dies just so they realize how much of a ######### up their entire dev them is. Oh and let’s not forget about the pretentious moderators who pretend to be good people even tho they actively close and ban people calling them out on their greed. Pathetic

That's not what you're asking? Oh, sorry.
Right with you, sbmm has been the worst thing they have ever added to this dumpster fire of a game and then they gloat about how effective it is. The devs obviously don’t play their own game and if they do they’re definitely not good. There is little to no change at the top as “ANY” killer but hey bhvr making s good buck on releasing dlcs and getting money when not caring about the health of the game. Typical!

Dear BHVR,
I have been a dbd player since 2018, I started on PC (around 200 hours) and then moved on ps4 so I could play with my friends (around 1600 hours on ps4).
70% of my matches are as a survivor and 30% as a killer where I main Legion, Spirit and Trapper.
I am a decent player, I know the maps and I can go on good chases, although I am obviously not a Monto or an Ayrun.
In the last three days I have been defeated, as a survivor, 21 times in a row.
I don't think this has ever happened to me before.
I have played quite extensively during the latest MMR test, at least 30 survivor matches, all around purple ranks.
I play on average 7/8 matches of dbd per day.
I think you had more than enough time to assess the way I play this game.
I normally run perks like head on, Q and Q, Flashbang and BT (if playing duo) or adrenaline if solo.
Or if I am getting lots of stealth killer I run detective's hunch and spine chill instead of flashbang and BT.
I don't think I am sweating, I like to goof during matches, at least to an extent... so why am I getting all these unfair matches?
The amount of tunnelling I am getting is unprecedented, and I am frankly not having fun.
I should be supposed to win every now and then, at least I hope.
Can you please explain to me what to do in order to enjoy a normal game?

It's just a brutally honest game. If you fail, you get punished - simple as that.
Players need to stop relying on the mercy or lack of skill of the opposite side to be successful at the game.
If you constantly get downed and killed in a matter of seconds then maybe it's time to get good!?
If you constantly get looped and gen rushed without getting any hooks then maybe it's time to get good!?
These two things can't go hand in hand, it's either one or another and the fact that both situations seem to happen "all the time" just proves that it's result of the players lack of skill rather than the games balance.
I just had to point it out because I'm getting really tired of all the excuses both sides constantly come up, such as "basement abuser, 3 gen strat abuser, DS abuser, flashlight abuser, pallet abuser, camper, tunneler, slugged,...".
Like what the hell? Just learn to play and stop crying ffs.
obviously a baby killer with 30 hours put into the game. Git gud and see how brutally honest it is going up against actual survivors and not potatoes. I just got to point out Haddonfield

You're not good either, just saying u shouldn't act like if you're top tier, when you're probably not. Top tier players wouldn't complain about things like this lmao.
Instead git gud or stop playing like if this is was a marathon if u want to get chill games, no one is forcing u to use blight, nurse or spirit, if u play like a comp player obviously u have to use those killers, and there isn't anything wrong about that, it's comp level, what do u expect? claudette's selfcaring on the corner of the map?
And ok bud, u can bet all u want lol
You’re obviously a casual that’s rank 20 still and probably doesn’t hardly touch killer. Ignorance is bliss and they’re plenty of killers in the forums with the same opinion. So you’re obviously ignorant on the state of the game. Keep playing and maybe, just maybe you’ll actually experience the stress of each game for someone who has higher Mmr than you.

You're not as good as u think u are, that's all, like if u are sweating a lot do u expect to get baby dwights? mmr will give u sweaty swf, that's how it works
I play all killers regularly. Unlike most who stick with one killer then spread out their bps across each other one. I consider myself good with each killer. I haven’t seen a baby Dwight since three patches ago.

If you aim your kill rate to be 80% (as you're supposed to win).
You face survivors who has 80% escape rate. Who plays only to win.
Sounds fair right?
Even tho I lost five game in a row and still get swf with over 6k hours. No, and to further the argument even more. This whole game isn’t even fair.

If you stopped squeezing out every kill you can somehow get you would get more fun survivors, too.
If I camped/tunneled/slugged with 4 slowdown perks I too could 4k as usual. But why would I do that? It's not fun for me, it's not fun for survivors and it pushes my MMR to the limit resulting in even more boring matches.
There is just no point in sweating your arse off. The gameplay is what makes the game fun so I focus on that part and get the 4k mentality out of the room.
Then again I understand if others can't enjoy the game unless they kill everyone. It took me 5000 hours in this game to get rid of my wannabe-tourney mindset so perhaps it just takes a while for others to overcome that mindset as well.
ah…so I should just stop winning. I should just lose every game. What a joke. You’re supposed to try to win.

I'm having more fun as killer than ever before. Finally survivors that understand how to loop and realize when I don't tryhard and thus often mess around with me.
I've come across so many polite players today who sacrificed their items at the gate and even had 2 survivors sacrifice themselves to the Entity because we all had a good time and shared a funny moment.
I played Nemesis and both of my zombies got stuck on top of a steam pipe in Midwich hugging each other.
One of the survivors managed to jump on top of them and got double-hit (instadowned) mid-air. It was glorious !
I recorded it, too. One of the best moments I've ever had.
People just need to stop sweating for and play the game for what makes DBD unique in the first place - the gameplay.
i wish I had low Mmr to experience this

Sbmm has killed the game for high mmr killers.
-
@SweetTerror said:
I was always really hesitant to play killer given how lopsided matches could be for a casual player like myself, especially if I'm playing a killer I've never played before. From what I hear SBMM is supposed to change that. I hear that it's more beneficial if you're a casual player. Has anyone been able to confirm this? I really don't want to sweat while I play.
Since Mmr you can’t have a fun game anymore, and any df who try’s to deny that is obviously a low mmr player. It’s sucks, what’s the point of playing any other killer than nurse blight or spirit now when I’m going up a 4 swf. Yeah what fun!! Especially when 80% of killers rely on survivors making mistakes.
I knew this system was going to ruin the killer role even more but hey… at lest survivor games are ez and I don’t have to do much other than hold m1. Quality gameplay 👏🏼👏🏼

ranks are not an argument anymore whatsoever. Today SBMM will be activated indefinitely.
so maybe you are the one that shouldn’t have been on top ranks and that’s why you struggled? Maybe SBMM will treat you better, at least theoretically that is it’s goal after all.
I’m forced to play nurse just to win, every survivor I’ve face since today has had over 3000+ plus hours. Yes it’s totally my fault that I’m good at the game and acquired a high Mmr so I get paired up with the exact Mmr high calibers, what a joke. Do you honestly think a killer has the time to deal with a boon against high Mmr swf. You’re delusional if you think you do.
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
Why is this only an issue when Killers are asked to look for totems? If you don't waste your time looking for the totem, don't do it. Just put up with whatever negative effects it provides.

You don’t play at the top ranks as killer do you?

And the queue times certainly reflect the high demand for the role......
Whether it's the hatred of basically every map in the game, from maps where every tile is LT, double LT, or cabin, or maps where there's probably actually 40+ windows, or maps where every gen is totally safe and inside a house, 2nd floor or basement... i.e. MAPS that just feel like an auto-loss...
Or games that are going fine, struggle on both sides, then BAM, all of a sudden everyone escapes. Guess they had a key, maybe even found it in a chest...
And god forbid simply going against good Survivors, rather than Survivors that run into you all game because they don't know what a terror radius is... And feeling the sheer helplessness of an actual 4v1 video game...
It's just not fun anymore...
And don't say something like, "Take a break," or, "Then play something else."
These types of responses don't properly bring attention to the game's legitimate issues. Because like I said, the fact that Killer queues are instant 24 hours a day really speaks volumes. In a game where you need 4 times as many Survivors, but there are always enough to instantly fill a lobby...
Please just... stop... being dumb with this game...
Play strong killers, weak ones don’t stand a chance against good survivors of a swf. Yeah, it’ll get boring but that’s how bhvr wants it for killers.

I wanted to present an idea that I rarely (maybe never) see suggested. For example, you're in a SWF that's absolutely dominating a killer, or if the game just isn't going super well for them and the gens are just flying on by before they can even get so much as few hooks states. Just give them a free sacrifice.
The game probably was over within a few minutes anyways, and it's incredibly demoralizing to be on the receiving end of the ranking system putting you in an unwinnable position. It only costs you 5,000 bloodpoints to give them a free sacrifice and it really makes the community a nicer and friendlier place. If we show respect for our equally skilled opponents that's awesome, if we can show kindness to people we severely outmatch that's even better.
If enough people do things like that, then maybe we'll have less toxicity overall as newbie killers aren't forged by tryhard sweat squads and deliberate bullying to the point they feel they have to 'even the score' once getting good.
Obviously it's not my place to tell people how to play the game, but it's definitely a kindness worth considering.
i think the vas majority of inflated survivors egos would disagree with giving the killer a free sacrifice, but also I can say the same about killers. To pride full to take a couple of extra bp from a friendly player.

Do you need to win? Do you need to get a certain amount of kills? Do you just need to have a good chase with the killer to have fun? Just curious. o/
Get in a good swf group and just have a cj. But if you’re trying to have fun with killer. You gonna have to pick a killer that doesn’t suck (like blight) and then listen to the salt after the match.

Just curious. Not saying that it is a "win", but if the match was fun, you had good chases and made lots of points, and two survivors escaped, would you be satisfied?
I used to think that I had to get a 4k when I played killer, mainly because of the toxic endgame chat where the survivors constantly berated me, but when I think about it, when I have 25K blood points and two kills, I'm usually happy. It only becomes frustrating when they're toxic as hell, then I want them all on hooks by any means possible.
the game shouldn’t be focused on kills, it should be focused around hooks. If I get 8 hooks and two survivors escape. I know I’m gonna draw even or I’m going to pip. Depending on how good I was during the game.

Complaining about tunneling and NoED is for trash survivors who lack confidence or proper knowledge of the game.
It's always the people who will claim gen speeds are fine and Killers need to accept genrush, while whining about how unfair it is that Killers can rush a kill (aka; tunneling & camping).
You obviously don’t play both sides. You just see things killer sided. Plz play and see what it feels like to be tunneled or better yet. Loop a killer for five gens just to be camped with noed. You’re obviously oblivious to what real problems the game has..

Solution1 by losing the LoS and hiding be sure you know how to control your s ratch mark.
Solution 2 if you are on comm ask a friend to run over your scratch mark to confuse the killer he should shich target if you can lose the LoS.
Solution 3 just bring him to a gen that get repaired and let the other survivor run the killer. No killer will leave a gen getting repair for free unless they do the 180 sec chase quest.
One of those solution should work at least they work for me
Oh trust me after looping for four gens they will stop at nothing to get to me, even if they see three survivors on the last gen. Btw I’m solo, so I doubt any potatoes with the purple toolboxes would do anything to help me. And lastly hiding in mid chase doesn’t work unless they’re as skillful as the survivors I’m paired up with.

Not really because you did nothing else. I think they implement a cap so the survivor dont play like before and asign role to themself. Looping is good but as a survivor you should know when to drop the chase so you can go do other thing
how do you drop a chase if you’re being tunneled for looping???????

Just to see generually what the most ppl thnk.
I think they are not fine, there needs a way to prevent that survivors will find or destroy the totems that early in the game. I agree that sometimes Hex perks can be very strong but I would suggest to nerf them all abit to make those changes more healthy for the game, that means that the Hex perks arent that impactfull but remain longer in the game.
I have 2 ways to fix that.
First way:
All possible totem spawns are covered in random junk as a vision blocker even if there is no totem at that spot. Survivors have to interact with them, just a quick 1 sec animation to "reveal" the space to see if there is a totem or not. That would prevent those awkward moments when the game starts and you see a light house totem on a hill burning or find a obvious spot next to a tree or gen right at the start.
Second way:
All Hex perks that are NOT a trap like Devour Hope, and no Haunted grounds for example now get a second effect. If these totems get cleansed then they do their effect way more powerfull as a last "breath" before they are gone. That means for example once you cleanse a Ruin all gens will lose 10% progress. If Devour Hope gets cleansed you will still have the exposed effect for your next m1 attack. If Hex croud controll gets cleansed all windows are blocked for 20 sec etc. That would give you atleast a little help even though you will lose that perk afterwards and would also add abit of a decision you need to make when you want to cleanse the totem and not just mindlessly do them immidiatly.
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think!
Other than totems spawning next to gens/survivors. They’re balanced in my opinion

At this point he closes hatch and still hasn't hit me. And gates are far. So i pop one open right as he reaches me, practically guaranteeing my escape and boom. Extra 4% speed and insta down. Gate was open, i was full health, never hit the entire game in 5 different chases, destroyed 2 of his perks and hard carried randoms... But he gets rewarded for playing badly and decided to slug me shaking his head for the bleedout timer after carrying me away from the gate.
You bet i just left the game and got lunch lol.
I love when someone plays badly, can't even hit me the whole game and gets the pity kill from an unhealthy crutch perk. NoED is just brutal in Soloq. "Just do bones" is hard solo when teammates die in 5 seconds and don't do gens. The nemesis player was having a bad game vs me and got an undeserved kill when my escape should have been guaranteed. The better player should always win. As an advocate of fun DbD over comp/sweaty dbd. I feel noed creates bad habits and hinders newer players from being better, this guy clearly was carried by noed.
Sorry for the rant. My experience on both sides during the event is awful. I kinda hate events because the sweat and toxicity they bring.
I just think noed, like self care and urban can create bad habits and hinder newer players from getting better, while making solo even less fun.
Guess you didn’t do all the bones…there’s seriously three good perks that allows you to find them. Ntm who cares if he uses noed, especially when survivors use keys and vice versa..

Hello everyone!
I have put about 600 hours or so into this game, but I am still at a loss as to the usefulness of certain perks. That being said, I see a lot of killers I go up against these days using STBFL. Is this perk somehow underrated, and I just missed it? Am I missing synergies here with it? Do I just not see its potential? I am genuinely curious as to what makes it such a good perk to see so much use.
Thank you for your time.
Stbfl is a really good perk on killers that have special attacks that don’t count as basics. Like Demo, Nem, Trickster, and a couple others. Making it so you never lose your stacks.
