So tired of this #########. Why they do this? Some of them reaaaaaaaaly need close this hatch for 500 points. Especially now, every day, at least once, im slugged as last person. And some of them do this for fun, i guess. They just love waste my time. At this point i want game to end, right? But i guess im some wierdo.

Why cant i DC at this point without penalty? ######### Devs are thinking? Do they play this game? Yes, i will blame Devs, because Killer is REWARDED FOR DOING THIS, FOR WASTING MY TIME.

Why are survivors allowed to all escape by one key??!! The world may never know..

Please take the poll, trying to collect some data.

dbd should be balanced around the top %. But we all know that’ll never happen..

I've really seen it all now! Killers who are complaining about when survivors "hold W"? Seriously???

And the fact that it's being called a "meta"? BAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHA ROTFLMAO

Last time I checked movement was a pretty universal game mechanic. So. . . I guess that makes it meta?

Killer mains these days are something else. And all this time I thought survivors were the ones with all the petty complaints.

P.S. I play both sides and I just have fun. Maybe try not taking the game so seriously people?

Everyone is crying about something….either it’s wraith being to op even though he is a m1 killer that’s countered by spine chill or gen speed…

I am a resident troll/memelord but even with 3 traps you can completely shut down the shack. If you start with 5 you can nail down the Hawkins room with all the glass windows and still have two traps to lock down the upstairs gen. Lerys (especially with an iri stone) can have large swaths locked down especially in the rooms with the yellow benches if you don't put the obligatory traps in the one grass spot.

Imagine spawning in the exit gate area in Lerys and your boy the Trapper comes by and traps every single running route as soon as you spawn in. gg for you sir. I know this because I've done it.

Survivors can disarm traps..Ntm spot them easily. Especially using small game. If he had all of his traps he would be up there with bubba. A significant improvement.

I'm doing the killer thing where I have a bad match and come on the forums to complain.

The advice I see is if someone is good in a chase you just leave them and find a different survivor. But what do you do against 4 survivors who are all expert runners? The early game was a sign this game was no good, I was having a decent chase and then 3 gens got done at once.

I've seen pros saying that against a good survivor team you have to completely change your gameplay and just play tag, but unless you're running sloppy they just heal through it.

I just feel really powerless as killer against a good team of survivors. I feel like I have no resources and no recourse except to just accept that the game is unwinnable for me. And that's not why I play killer. That's not the fantasy of playing killer. And it is terrible for the health of the game because it just makes me want to take out my frustration against the next group of survivors, which just furthers the cycle of toxicity.

What strategies are there against a team that plays perfectly?

I’m gonna be completely honest. If you’re not playing a viable killer, you’re gonna lose to the high caliber of survivors. I know sounds fun only being able to play four or so killers to beat the top % but that’s how it is.

  • @Heartbound said:

Honestly as Trapper is my main killer, giving him all of his traps at the start could completely seal a survivor off and give them no chance to escape. Especially on indoor maps. Not that I wouldn't enjoy that immensely I can see why they make getting your traps a chore.

If they really wanna toss Trapper a hand make it harder to get out of the traps. I always catch some immersed survivor halfway across the map and they get out on the second attempt after I've abandoned my chase.

    Cut me some slack.

    You’re joking….right?????

  • @Official_hilbert said:

So these last few months of playing I’ve noticed that pressuring generators has become less and less of a viable option in public matches. It seems as though survivors have a lot of tools and perks at their disposal to get generators done quickly while killers are left with very little.

My points I’ll bring up are that survivors not only have toolboxes with varying add ins to boost gen speed, but also have perks such as prove thyself, resilience, and spine chill to name a few that help in completing gens quickly.

This poses a lot of issues For killers that aren’t generally good at map traversal, and perks only help for a short duration. Ruin only lasts as long as the hex is active and most of the time they get cleansed rather quickly gaining no traction. Corrupt also only lasts two minutes which can help but can also prove ineffective against high rank survivors. Other options killers have are pop and eruption but it seems as though survivors get new perks to counter this such as repressed alliance and now blast mine.

My main argument I’m trying to say is that the current meta is gens popping incredibly quickly and a lot killers not having a lot to counter this. Killers like trickster, trapper and Myers suffer in this regard since they are just unable to pressure effectively with their abilities.

I want to know what people think and hear some counter arguments to my discussion.

All you need a the leader perk and your able to do a gen in lightning speed if you have an other survivor with you. It’s seriously stupid especially how it stacks with tool boxes.

  • @Ryan489x said:

    My answer is no.

I had a game where my three other teammates just traded hooks in the basement against a demo. I knew better then to go over there, I even healed one of them up who managed to get away. but she went right back to it.

I got one gen done and had to look for the hatch well the killer found it first and closed it, That activated NOED and I was down in one hit and hooked.

For being the only person who played the game smart it stung pretty badly when that happened.

In my honest opinion noed is the only perk that I think needs a rework. Why be rewarded for losing? The perk should give a increased speed increase with a 50-75% weapon hit recovery.

  • @toxik_survivor said:

I see many complaints on tunneling and this has been addressed before but you guys have to understand that tunneling is a mechanic in the game for a reason. Tunneling is a good strategy for getting a dub if you like it or not. Its unfun to play against but not ever match is fun.

These depends on what you view as a win. Do you go for kills of hooks?

because when I get 9hooks but survivors escape I still feel accomplished. Sure I didn’t get the whole 4K, but I still managed to pip.

  • no perks need a change, but I got a solution to ruin and NOED… just do bones! There are three perks that show you and help you find hexs. Or do you rank 20s need a fourth one?Solution to pop, use jills mine or repressed alliance.

I was lucky yesterday to play one game on the new map. But it felt like a damn maze. Most of the time i was searching for a way to the noises i heared around me. Maybe i must get used to it but....damn. And the survs had problems finding gens and ran into deadzones (there are so many of them) tue whole time. We were all so lost...

All maps are mazes give it time and you’ll know it like the back of your crust covered hand!

I'm curious. I've played roughly 10 games as him and he seems pretty fun and like a good killer. I want to see the community's thoughts on him and maybe where you would put him on a tier list.

Good on pc but a big sluggish on console. In other words.. another pyramid head, but zombies.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I absolutely despise this add on. I always have.

It’s now significantly worse to deal with now that Wraith can get much, much closer before seeing his shimmer both because of his base speed increase, and the distance at which he has total invisibility.

Everything else with Wraith i’d say is balanced, but “All Seeing” - Blood is just awful, and unfair.

Time for keys to go. Oops nvm seems like they nerfed the only perk that breaks them lol..

  • @Wedeguy said:

Second hook - I was on a safe loop and the zombie just comes from one side and Nemesis from the other side. I'm dead for nothing.

Third Hook - I went into house of pain cause he was tunneling me. I see Nemesis coming down the stairs so i go up to the window - I vault - boom a zombie just standa literally ON the window and hits me.

It's dumb. the killer did nothing and his zombies took me out of the game.

this killer already has a decent anti loop why does he needs a free hand by hand mechanic to help him kill suvivors when they just want to defend themselves.

Are you serious…?????? A slow moving zombie that can give you a speed buff if not infected..??????????? Jesus you people cry about anything. But hey let’s actually talk about something broken, jills mine that she plants in gene that blinds you for five seconds!!! Funnnnnnnn. Real quality game play there!

Otz made some great points in this video about how problematic Spirit’s add ons. One of the skills that comes to being a survivor is identifying the add ons that killers have. If you’re going against an Oni with Scalped Topknot, Hillbilly with Doom Engravings, Blight with Blighted Rat, etc., then you’ll be able to point out those add ons and adjust to play against them despite them being very powerful add ons. You won’t be able to do this against Spirit because of the lack of feedback she gives.

This is where people miss the point. It’s not about Spirit and her add ons being powerful, it’s about survivors not being able to understand what’s going on, leaving them with no other options but to blindly guess what’s happening. You can try debating that Spirit has reliable counterplay all you want, but it still doesn’t change the fact that you can’t see what she’s doing.

I’m not gonna go into detail about what I think could be a solution to fix this issue, but all I know is that it needs to be fixed. If you are on the “Spirit is fine” side, then you have to at least admit that there is no information for survivors to work with on which add ons she has, how she plays, where she’s gonna reappear, and so on and so forth.

So did Truetalent, she has counter play. Only add on I see to be a problem is mother daughter everything else is fine. Plus don’t get me wrong I like otzs but he says hags top tier for Christ sake lol..

Now before you get your panties in a twist, I play wraith and consider him number two in my top three killers. He's extremely good now, especially for an M1 killer but... It feels almost unfair to play as or against him now. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he was buffed and his movement speed while cloaked is ######### fantastic. The things is, I haven't won against or lost a game as wraith since his buff. It's shocking how powerful he is now and I fear nerfs in the future. The kinds that will make him worse than his pre-buffed form.

    Are you serious...wraith a m1 killer...Jesus..

  • @BeardedScrub said:

For this game to be "balanced" most killer mains are asking to be able to kill 4 survivors most matches...

Even if you get 4 kills HALF of your matches and 2 kills your other matches, that averages out to 3 kills per match. That means 3 out of every 4 survivors won't make it!!!

In what world is that "balanced"?

In solo q, I don't know if our squad makes it out alive even 10% of the time. And in a full squad we maybe make it out 20% of the time.

When you get a killer with certain perks and add-ons, like Freddy, Spirit, even the Hag with her traps, these killers can be virtually impossible to beat.

Then we have killer mains on here whining all day because they are getting t-bagged...

If you aren't getting 2 to 4 kills every match (meaning the game is balanced towards killer) then you absolutely suck.

Of course we should nerf DS, and if we keep the game in the state it's in, n I'm okay, but please, if you are going to nerf anything survivor, nerf the traps of the Hag, nerf Freddy or the Spirit.

Yes we have a problem with q times. That's the only reason why they cater so much to killers. They have to or the game won't survive so I'm okay with it. But killers: a successful match isn't 4k or bust, and again, if you aren't getting 2k or more in most matches, you suck, even my friend who's new to the game can play underpowered killers and get 2 kills each match

    Don’t expect a easy escape.

  • @Profezia said:

I mean just look at his traps, they instantly catch a healthy survivor, saving trapper a full chase, no killer in the game can catch survivors as fast as trapper, he need nerf, maybe add him a noise warning for his traps so it would be easier for survivors to react and also put cooldown on traps so that he can't put a lot of traps quickly and add a bigger range limit like 32 meters between each trap because its unfair he can trap small area and make it impossible to move there which is sooo frustrating to deal with. also look at his addons please, they all are op, tar bottles remove the only counterplay traps have midchase and you can't see them anymore and bag addons allow him to trap locations very quickly which is soo unfairly strong and iri stone just makes traps reset on their own and that is soooo op and frustrating to go against, just like bloody coil, like the hell i am punished for interacting with the killer, isn't it the purpose of the game to interact with the opposite side, why am i being punished for that this is so frustrating nerf trapper please or ill quit the game and it will die without such valuable customer as me who plays it for entire 100 hours and knows everything and who even spent entire 5 dollars to buy a dlc

    /s

    I lost brain cells...

i normally play 50/50 but i find myself playing killer alot more but man i have to ask

how do you put up with it?

the teabagging, the non tunneling yet you still get DS

survivors body blocking each other to save each other

i legit dont feel like a killer i feel like im just getting bullied

why can a survivor save another person off a hook even though i attack? i feel like i should be able to grab them even if their healthy like i dont even tunnel but they all hang around a hooked person so what do i do?

how do you deal with this??

well if you’re not playing top tier killers, you’re setting yourself up for a bully squad.

dont get me wrong, there are plenty of potato survivors out there that you can pull an ez win with a weak killer. But that’s like once in a blue moon senecio.

How so? To me it indicates that she has a very high skill ceiling.

If they’re kill count is low then they’re considered weak. Not to mention the statistics also go off of all ranks...not just rank 1. Which influxes the kill count of weak killers. Bottom line the data provided for the community is utterly flawed.

  • @kamisen said:

I’m all for balance but it’s getting a bit ridiculous at this point. There’s always a finger pointed towards the opposing side. Survivors should not evaluate the effectiveness of a killer perk and killers should not evaluate the effectiveness of a survivor perk. The statistics have shown numerous times that we suffer from confirmation bias. Ormond has been dubbed the largest map when it is, in fact, in the middle. Pig has been dubbed low tier when, in reality, she outperforms other killers. Nerfs should be performed when you have all facts at hand, not because of general dissatisfaction and frustration.

All in all, it would be be refreshing if we started talking about buffs instead of nerfs.

Those same statistics say that nurse needs a buff.

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

It's a good idea, but it won't happen since Friday the 13th uses the exact same concept (I'm assuming this is where your idea came from). It's be unique but I doubt they'd copy a mechanic from another game.

Haven’t played F13, was told it was a stinker.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Continously nerfing survivors and buffing of killers since the game was released has made the killer role way too easy. Nerfing survivors over and over, nerfing survivor perks, nerfing map sizes, significantly nerfing survivor defenses, and releasing powerful killer perks, slowgen perks, tracking perks, and buffing perks to be unfair such as tinkerer where it punishes the other side for doing the objective. They are oblivious to how lopsided and easy killer has become. Buffing leatherface, doctor, and clown when they didn't really need it.

Streamers boasting of huge long winstreaks, hardly breaking a sweat, the other side has hardly any chance whatsoever to win. It is not even entertaining to watch. It is not only entertainers. Because you have some experience in killer shouldn't be a green light to win 99% or 99.5% of your games. The devs should stop catering to one side and make the game fair for both sides.

Imagine being so delusional that you think killers are op...well unless you’re a rank 20 then all I gotta say is in time you’ll get better.

    Chin up buttercup!

  • @milwaukee354 said:

I just faced a spirit and I couldn't hear any audible cue of her location, invincible Freddy, a hag with almost no heartbeat, now killers have longer lunges, and numerous amounts of other perks, powers and add ons, while survivors have perks and that's it, alot of people say well its four survivors, well that's four survivors with four different play styles most survivors play like if you die in the game you die in real life or you play with entitled survivors that feel like they shouldn't have went down first or to quick or whatever the case and dc I've lost so many games by people rage quitting or the killer just tunneling, can survivors get more running speed at least or unbreakable pallets unless the killer has blood lust because we all know killers need extra movement speed lol

Leaning is bad, because if you only stand an inch too far away, he doesn't do it. In a chase, where every second counts, the survivor is allready behind a wall. They just should improve his non-leaning stalk or make it harder to detect him by default. Literally nobody wants to use any addons beside the night shroud recovery ones, they are just so much better.

Yeah, and it really sucks because I’m a huge fan of the scream franchise...but let’s play devils advocate. He’s a monster on indoor maps.

16 seconds with the addons. Without that, good luck playing him.

Still the fact that he’s incredibly easy to spot on almost every map (Especially cornfield), he’s just a normal m1 killer that can expose you if you’re not paying attention. I honestly think wraith is better than him with the right perk set up, but to each their own.

  • @golubushka08 said:

At least don't nerf the DS. It's an ocasional perk, it's not used always. And I don't want to lose 1 minute doing nothing just because I used this perk to save me from tunelers and campers. This perk is for those killers who don't know how to play this game and only tunnel someone. If a killer doesn't tunnel this perk don't activate. It's not my fault that the killer plays toxic. I'm not supposed to lose 1 minute for their toxic play.

    Then uninstall..no one cares..like seriously..

I'm a rank 1 killer and survivor but I main ghostface as killer. Lately I've been getting a lot of after the match chat saying that ghostface isn't fair because they "can't look at me" also I can sneak up even if they have spine chill by simply sidestepping and picking them off the gen. Should I start playing a different killer to see if he is that much better? I only play him because the scream movies are my favorite movies but I am tired of all the hate I get just for being him.

If I’m being personally honest, if a survivor is crying about ghost face being over powered. They’re obviously a boosted rank 20... like seriously a m1 killer that can be spotted without even looking at him and having a 30 second cool down on his power. Talk about sad...

  • @Carlosylu said:

I thought queue times were fixed the day of the update, but yesterday it all went back, 10+ mins waiting as survivor and less than 1 min for killer.

As a Rank 1 killer and Rank 2 survivor I politely ask you NOT TO LOBBY DODGE, you need to learn to play against everyone, and don't come to me with your:

"WoUlDn'T yOu dOdGe A LoBbY whErE...?"

The answer is NO, I don't dodge lobbies, the only justifiable reasons to lobby dodge is Ping and knowing a guy in the game that you have played against and you know he is a toxic player or a DCer, any other reasons are just lame excuses...

In game DCing is another issue, don't get lost from the thread please... Not getting a good map, matchmaking problems and bugs are not part of this thread.

    Edit:

I'm not trying to force people not to dodge, I'm just politely asking for people to avoid as much as they can lobby dodging, people dodge out of the dumbest things nowdays like "I don't like facing Davids" or "Matchmaking is broken, if I see 2 toolboxes they must be red ranks". I'm not talking about in game DCing, but about actual lobby dodging, it's not wrong to dodge a lobby every now and then, but not 5/6 games until you get to play aginst no SWF Dwights with no items, hehehe. Get my point?

Okay gonna throw some reality n your face real quick..

Why would anyone want to play killer if you can only play a handful of viable ones? What, just to constantly deal with terribly design maps like Haddonfield and above all else listen to the ego inflated survivors who are on a power high from going against a weak killer like wraith in the end game chat..oh Ntm be constantly nerfed by the devs to appease the survivor masses and leave meta perks like decisive strike unchanged..

Does that sound appealing to you? Because it sure in the hell doesn’t for people who are new to the game.. that’s why there’s a huge amount of survivors than killers. Thank the community and the devs.

And please get off your high horse and stop complaining about lobby dodging, because I know for a fact that survivors would instantly back out if they saw my ptg 3 nurse.

  • @Chchchcheryl said:

As I've been going further up in rank I've finally clashed with the extreme gen rushing meta and I was wondering if any seasoned killers may perhaps give me tips on maintaining pressure whilst only being able to be in one place at once, particularly with a killer like Wraith, who has no built in snowball potential or pressure.

Please no git gud or ruin undying ez or whatever, just actual proper tips and ideas.

Not to dishearten you, but if you’re going against a perfect team of survivors. Weak (unless with amazing addons) killers such as wraith for example. Just won’t cut it in todays climate on Dbd. If you want to actually stand a chance get good with nurse, doc, twins, spirit, and Freddy. If you’re a keyboard warrior, Pyramid head is also good because you don’t have to deal with controller sticks when using punishment of the damned and he completely negates decisive strike (if they’re tormented).

theres also a variety of perks like ruin, pop, and corrupt intervention, etc. that can slow the game down, but sadly if you’re gonna use ruin/undying combo it will be nerfed soon because survivor mains can’t handle it...even tho no changes to DS and keys..thx devs👀
