Im the #1 Nemesis hater in the world. The bottom four actually make me want to play a different game, the rest of them aren't the end of the world or won't kill the mood or anything

  • @SoGo said:

Yeah, I absolutely agree with you.

The Rift is ugly, the Quests are too generic in name, look and content, the new rarities suck and are a backwards solution to a nonexistent problem, you need a magnifying glass to see the icons now and the event items now cost 5000 BP for SOME reason.

I genuinely had a harder time navigating the menus and the new UI which is just so non-user friendly, than any difficulty in my matches. It's genuinely a chore to try and navigate the new Rift and UI system, I don't know how they expect a new player to navigate this ######### without getting confused.

They're probably going to lie and say they can't revert it because they don't know how or it would be too much work, and they will slightly tweak this, appeasing most of the community while still giving us a far inferior product to what we once had. I guarantee the ######### blue Rarity is here to stay too because the developers are just obsessed with trying to force blue as the main color. Dead by daylight has made me hate the color blue.

  • @jinxykinz said:

I have no issues with my vision, but the blue they used bothers my eyes. There isn’t enough contrast with the background and the blue they chose is almost like UV light on my screen. I don’t like it at all. I miss the yellow. Like you said, the colors all being so different from each other made it easy to find what you wanted.

Also, the blue doesn’t even really seem to match anything in the game besides the deep rift. So when I look at those blue items and add-ons, I end up thinking they’re some special kind of rift thing when they’re not. The yellow made sense, the blue doesn’t. Well, except that Freddy’s blue dress and green dress are now blue and green. Lol.

Oh yeah definitely. I don't know why they're trying so hard to push blue as the main color for this game. It already ruins the Halloween event when Halloween is supposed to be orange, yet everything, even the pumpkins are a hideous blue. Blue is already my least favorite color. This new blue they use on the UI gives me a headache to look at. I hate it. This compiled with the rift progression changes might be enough for me to quit playing the game, as I don't want to be forced to play hours upon hours every single day or suffer the fomo

  • Those are the first few though. As you get further into the Milestone challenges they become tedious grinds especially when it's for a side or roll you don't play often or for characters you don't play often. This will be even more problematic for casuals because you don't get Rift progression from matches anymore. XP does not count towards fragments so once you're out of challenges you're ######### and have to wait. Or you're forced to do challenges that will make you frustrated and therefore burnt out on the game or not wanting to play. And because they change every week and every day, you ######### yourself out of fragments if you don't play every single day for multiple hours.

These changes are basically making this game a job. It doesn't seem as bad at first but trust me it gets rough quickly. The UI is becoming even more of a nightmare to navigate though. It's getting worse with every update

Rewards that can only be earned by logging on and playing every day usually seem to be designed to force people into an unhealthy relationship with the game in question. That's something that I could see leading to people permanently quitting a game in favor of something that feels less manipulative.

The idea that I might have to play almost every day to complete the Rift makes me not want to play at all. That's my immediate reaction to these changes. Someone did the math, and according to them, if XP doesn't provide Rift Fragments, then a person needs to play 37 of 84 days to complete the Rift. That's an almost every-other-day requirement, that doesn't work for a lot of people. I have spurts of playing. I don't play as much as every other day and I don't want to. If I have to divide my time in a very specific way to complete a Rift I'd otherwise been completing just fine since its inception… ? No.

I'm getting so close to uninstalling. UI changes we didn't ask for and didn't want. Rarity color changes. An entire upheaval of the Rift and Tome, with them already saying the Compendium's days are numbered (this last one really bums me out). Meanwhile, during this past year they removed button hotkeys that made console life easier and still never gave us more controller settings. Nah, I'm really thinking I've given this game too much leeway and it's gone far beyond not deserving my time.

One other note is that 'quest' seems like some rather unfitting terminology for DBD. Are we questing around the Entity's realm now? I think 'ritual' is thematically on-point though :)

I too prefer "Ritual." It's much more fitting. This recent patch has really done a lot to kill DbD's personality and turn it into a generic mobile game.

37 out of 84 if you're being efficient. Meaning you have to do every single milestone, every single weekly and every single Rift challenge for both sides. The literal second Survivor challenge is escape four times. A lot of people don't even do that in a day. Especially in solo.

I genuinely can't even begin to imagine how tedious and grindy the challenges will become around halfway through, let alone by the end. Goodbye Master challenges that can be done in a single match and give you a full level. Hello Milestone challenges that could take you dozens of games to do depending on how grinding they are.

Another flaw I can't stress enough. Daily is being gone means even less variety. There are so many killers I only played because I get dailies for them a lot. I probably won't touch them anymore. It's less of an issue for Survivor but even then, lots of people would play any Survivor because Survivor dailies are rare, even if it's not a character they have a lot on. They probably got excited seeing their first Survivor daily in a month and they don't care if they have to play Jeff or Gabriel or somebody unpopular that they don't have any syringes on. Goodbye to getting the occasional slightly less sweaty Survivor because they don't have their op Loadout on The Daily they are doing.

GGoodbye having to play certain characters and open a gate with them or get unhooks with them. Goodbye seeing certain weaker Killers more because Dailies encouraged people to play them, Hello more blights.

  • @DBD78 said:

Since they said Twins would be reworked how many other killers have gotten changes and updates instead? I would guess that the low pick rate is the reason they keep stalling this?

Twins rework or Pyramid Head addon pass. What comes first? Take a guess and I update this thread when we have an answer.

Skull merchant was (and still is) a detriment to the game's health so they prioritized her rework and delayed Twins if i had to guess. Unfortunately being buggy, clunky and unpopular really helps delay a rework. I hope it's something amazing or substantial and not just a few number tweaks, as funny as that would be. Because i kinda like the twins

  • Hopefully they rework him soon. He's so buggy and clunky, plus insanely unfun to face too. Give him a summon ghost horse and lance for mobility or something and ditch the 3 boring ai zoning bots.

  • @Patokiller said:

Pinhead´s chains, Knight´s haunts, and Trapper´s traps are a few exemples.

Plus, the time you take to click and enter in the void as a killer is so long that the survivors can leave the void while you are entering it.

What´s the point of giving to survivors ANOTHER advantage?

The anniversary event was awful for survivors and great for killers.

Please don't keep parroting and "us vs them" narrative. My solo teammates love kicking pumpkins and going into void instead of foing gens. It results in lots of loses. Female vaults are still bugged btw even though they know how to fix it.

Yes this event favors survivors which sucks, yes the last one favored killers. In a perfect world events would be balanced or even an optional mode for those who get tired of sweaty events like me. But oh well. Tomorrow's the last day.

Also ######### the knight. Anything that hinders him is great imo. He is so miserable to face and i hate playing as him.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

I'd love it doing gens refilled it! Maybe that's a good happy medium.t

It sucks when you go against a stealth killer because you spend so little time in their terror radius. And if it's Wraith or Myers with aura add ons? It's a dead perk in 30 seconds lol.

Plus how is simply being in a killer's TR outside of a chase a way to "earn" a perk? I could be crouching in a corner accomplishing nothing just to regain tokens.

Exactly. I thought that would be a fair option for those who don't like getting chased while incentive for being useful instead of hiding and playing for last alive type escapes

  • I'm not saying everyone who uses it is bad or anything i just think it's a bit unhealthy at the moment for solo and gets frustrating to deal with a massive increase in super immersed teammates.

And before I'm called a "killer main" or told about how mft is getting nerfed, i also hate stbfl and want it changed too. There's quite a few unhealthy(imo) perks on both sides

  • I love Constantly getting unfun sweaty killers with the best builds and add ons every match with moris and stuff. Never even like for a moment considering memeing with me or having fun.. just sweat. And that's not mentioning tunneling lol. Plus incompetent teams and maps that are empty.

While killer i haven't touched in days because map offerings and dead hard, bt, iron will, prove thyself and unbreakable every match gets old quickly.

  • SBMM sells cosmetics though, hence why every dev in every game tries to force it despite universal hate by committed players.

    Only casuals like it

  • @imguadalupe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/281904/my-sbmm-experience-is-miserable

Yeah man I haven't been able to escape for 6 games in a row. I'd say take a break not worth getting stressed cause they don't care either way.

Today was my breaking point. 3dcs as survivor 2 as killer before i realized its a sign to quit lol. I normally rarely dc hence getting so few penalties. My wit was at its end today and the matches were the worst I've ever had.

  • @Zozzy said:

I am just seeing if it is even possible to drop in rank as killer. Using zero slowdown perks and playing like a robot to try make survivors rush gens and finish the game asap. lost 20 games and still getting the same people. starting to think killer sbmm is a farce and it is only for survivor.

More survivors than killers so it's gonna force you to go against sweats because logic lol. It just creates more sweats because mmr

  • Sorry for seeming like I'm ranting or want free wins or whatever, i just hate meta, i hate having to go full sweaty tryhard every game. I just want a fun casual game. But sbmm kills everything it touches and devs love it bc it helps get noobs to buy skins/DLC lol. I'm just tired of the debs not listening to long term players and just catering to casuals or newer players who have no idea what they're talking about. I think it's just time for me to move on.

This isn't a goodbye post I'll make that later if it's permanent.. just a big break i think.

    Thanks for reading.

A dev +community manager confirmed it isn't just based of deaths/kills/escapes.

My thoughts: it'll be based around emblem's/bp. If you do well in these areas and get a high amount of BP then you will go up in MMR. If you get good emblem's (especially the one about being downed) but not much bp you shall go up but only by a small amount.

    Why?

Because then you can't sit in a corner, get hatch, and go up in MMR. They want this to be realistic. This is probably what they'll go for.

Even if it works it'll suck.

  • I'm not asking for easy games or free wins btw.

I just hate lack of variety and do not trust the devs.

SBMM is going to 100% be based off of kills/escapes with no system in place to count solo/swf, items, add ons, offerings, perks and what killer lol.

SBMM in a game where 1 team can be four solos on wreckers yard with 3 pallets vs a Small pp build blight. Compared to another team getting the same map with 15 pallets vs a clown. Such a joke.

Not to mention maps that completely screw specific killers or screw survivors as a whole.

People trust bhvr to add a functional mmr system are wild. It took 4 years to change 3 to 1 on iri heads. The same devs who use noed and design such bad maps, the devs who ugh.. no point. BHVR never backs down from forcing stuff on us. Its hopeless lol. Btw everyone who thinks this is going to lead to killer buffs.

The devs themselves said they will not balance around top percentage players and focus balance on new players. SBMM only benefits new players. They don't care about long term players. They already got their money from us. We're basically used up and discarded by the devs lol.

  • @Objectively_speaking said:

One killer main to another, you have to let go of winning or 4ks just try to go for 1 hook and see what happens from there and for survivor gameplay just do one gen and rest easy knowing that you tried your best. Also no matter how good you are or how well you do, sometimes you still lose.

    Map design :(

  • @FilthyLegionMain said:

But you'll have competent teammates in solo at least when sbmm releases. Dunno about killer since I'm good here.

Much like as killer I'll deal with map offerings, keys and the same builds

I understand being frustrated, i woukd have been too. But it would have been at my teammates. In fact if i did 4 bones and died to noed one or all of them would be getting messages.

Then he did what all good killers do, abandon the strong and focus the weak. A bad killer would have tunneled you (which is the real definition of tunneling) all game allowing your noob teammates to hold m1 on all 5 gens and he woukd have left the game with no hooks, or in this case maybe 4 since apparently his zombies got 4 downs.

It didnt cost him the game. Hun, he killed 3 of you, the last of which was as the last gen popped, all WITHOUT noed. It was already a W. All noed did was give him the cherry on top. You that eluded him the rest of the game. Im not saying this guy is amazing at the game, but he certainly sounds better than your teammates

He lost if he didn't have NoED. It gave him a kill he couldn't obtain through skill and zombies did all the work for him bar 3 downs.

I outplayed him perfectly. He gets rewarded and has no reason to improve

you know what else rewards bad play??? DS,UB,BT,DH I could go on.

None of those but unbreakable can change a win to a loss.

BT and DS are fair perks that only screw over losers who tunnel lol.

NoED can give a bad killer who played poorly a 4k and teach that killer bad habits or no reason to get Better at the game

Lot of things in this dont add up.

You ran him without getting any kind of hit, but he was then able to leave you and go get 4 more hooks so his devour would proc .

He had 3 of you dead, and he didnt mori anyone (remember you broke his devour after he got one down with it), by the time the last gen popped, but he played badly? How many hooks did he have by the time he hit you? 9? Were people left to die on hook?

You did 4 totems, including ruin and devour, and nobody else on your team did a single one?

He had ruin, devour and noed out of curiousity what was his 4th?

    ‐--------

What i see reading your story is a killer that got outplayed a little at the beginning, then a mountain of mistakes had to of been made by the survivors (not saying you, your teammates). Nobody other than you touched a single totem. They apparently were losing chases EXTREMELY quickly, unless youre telling me he got 9 downs just off his zombies in which case you had the dumbest set of teammates that have ever touched a controller. And presumably at least 1 person is left to die on hook (or he really did get 9 hooks in which case I hate to break it to you he wasnt a bad killer).

After all this, after having the dumbest teammates possible (assuming your story is true), somehow its noeds fault you died to a "bad killer?"

Ill add him letting you bleed out at the end was a dick move, but i think you shoukd actually be mad at your teammates here, not the killer or noed. He clearly outplayed you in the 4v1, even if he couldnt outplay you in particular in the 1v1

    4th was pop

  • Its unhealthy and rewards bad play.

Its almost always used by bad or noob players and often gets kills they didn't deserve.

I outplayed him all game. He gets saved by nomegaloled

  • @Lord_Tony said:

how many anti totem perks they gotta add to the game? there is plenty

Survivor bad killer good. Its boring seeing you defending noed every day.

Its a soloq bully perk and you clearly don't play enough solo to understand how crucial time is in solo.

He would lose chase or abandon chase with me and my legit rank 20 teammates would die in seconds against him.

Everyone he hooked was tunneled too.

He got 0 hits on me in 5 different chases that costed him the game but noed saved his ass

NoED trains bad habits to new players. It rewards bad play.

Soloq is hard enough lol. I can't do all 5 gens, get tunneled and break all 5 totems before my idiot team have all died

My point is i ran this man for 5 gens with 0 hits. And he downs me with noed as the gate is opening, I won but his crutch perk saved him.

He has no reason to get good if he can play like that.

Most people hate chase powers. People complain about everything from PH to deathslinger. All chase based powers have to remove some options in a chase (thus reducing survivor skill as you would say) or else it is not be a chase power.

Chase powers are inherently unfun to go against bar few like Oni and Billy who have utility and chase while needing skill to be dangerous.

    Spirit is easy mode.

  • @truegod_10 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2335782#Comment_2335782

Most loops dont require much skill to loop, especially if you can see over them. The problem with the balance of this game is if the killer can't end chases quickly they can't apply pressure and gens go to fast. So they have to give killers good chase powers or great mobility powers (the best killers can do both). So if we dont just want 20 plus killers with different mobility based powers the devs have to develop chase based killers.

Also, every killer (even spirit) has some counterplay. Spirit and nurse have less counterplay but survivor and killer skill matter a lot even when playing these killers, as well as a general ability to read how good your opponent is and mind game them accordingly. Killers literally have to quickly read how good a survivor is in order to know how to properly mind-game them (while also remembering this for 4 players), so I dont think it unreasonable to ask survivors to do the same.

In the end, if the devs want to weaken all of the chase based powers without also making every killer feel identical with slightly different mobility powers then they would have to drastically raise the objective time for survivors. This could be done by creating additional objectives, but just adding time to gens is going to piss people off. If this happens instead of ending chases quickly good killers will just leave chases after destroying a few resources to go catch people near a growing deadzone around objectives, which is also unfun since as you pointed out the fun part of the game is the chase/looping.

Chase based powers are fine. Powers that remove survivor skill and have no valid counters aren't fine lol.

  • They aren't meant to. They cause panic in survivors, the survivor is running around searching boxes and staying injured in an effort to stay alive. It's built in game delay that can waste several minutes of precious time

The head pop is rare as it should be, bit some problematic add ons and map design can pretty much guarantee a head pop or two.

The RBT is mostly meant to waste time, delay gens, cause panic and cause survivors to make mistakes or play recklessly, and occasionally net you a satisfying kill.

Hope this answers. And remember not to chase trapped players and instead pressure those who can heal or do gens, you'll do much better with Piggy. :)

  • Devs said never because Jeepers Creepers was created by a pedo. I love the Creeper as a killer. But sadly the director is a piece of trash and they do not want to give him money or relevance.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

As a Wraith main I'm sadly forced to agree. May Wraith players play in a toxic manner. I disagree with them being the most toxic. Slinger and Spirit take that honor in my opinion.

Seems like the sweaty low skill Freddies(you know the people I'm talking about) went to our boy Philip due to his ease of play, busted add ons and give Wraith a bad name. While all the decent Freds stayed loyal like General.

Then you’re not as good as you think. Please explain how the “better” player wins at an insanely strong loop? The power is all in the survivor’s hands based on how safe they want to be.

Because only somewhat skilled killers know how to get the most use out of loops? Most solo players waste or camp pallets.

Nurse and spirit ignore any skill input from survivors, nurse literally ignores the rules of the game, but at least she takes skill. Spirit is literally playing a single player game on easy mode lol.

The better player should always win. No side should have an advantage in chase. The skill should decide the winner. I have no issues running strong loops as killer. The only problem is rng sometimes survivors get 20 pallets, some get 5 crap pallets and tons of deadzones.

Map size is also a huge issue.

But most killers aren't good lol. They are carried by gen regression perks and stomp solos, or newer players, so when a more skilled survivor beats them, they call survivor op and throw a tantrum. Just dont commit too long and apply more pressure instead of being tunnel vision letting the other 3 afk on gens. Big maps are the only unbalanced problem for killers to face, or bad maps that hinder power or perk effectiveness.

The only fun of survivor is chases. Being instantly destroyed in a chase with no counterplay or skill input feels bad, it's not fun to vs. Rank means nothing lol. Getting in a chase vs Spirit is luck, not skill. You hope shes bad or die. Same as slinger, nurse, ph, etc.

Fair killers(in chase) like oni, Billy, bubba, etc can be devastating in a chase and play most tiles. They are strong and healthy for the game. They are most importantly fun to play as, and to play against.

When a good hillbilly curves to hit me, i feel outplayed by someone and im happy to learn something new. When i mind game a loop as oni and get a demon strike down i feel great.

But when a spirit stands still at every pallet i have no skill, no input, no counterplay. I don't feel like a better player mind gamed me. I feel like somebody is playing on easy mode, and got an undeserved down.

Even though nurse breaks the game i can respect a great blink. Even though she has no counters beyond bad map design, i feel like a good player beat me.

But in a chase vs the much more common "problematic" killers that every high level player, tourny player and streamer hates. I feel like an often lower skill opponent got a free win with nothing i can do.

When a slinger zones you by spamming ads, he will force you to juke an unreactable shot and let him catch up to hit you, or shoot you. Nothing you can do but hope hes bad and misses.

When Spirit stands still, you flip a coin and die at this pallet or the next pallet. No input, no signs, no info. Just a guess.

When pyramid is at a pallet he either cancels his power and hits you if you dont drop pallet or vault. But if you do he hits you while stuck in animation. Hes a great tunneler too since he ignores hook mechanics.

Im not calling these killers op. There's a difference between overpowered and boring. Most people who call things boring just want to have fun on a video game made for fun. Those killers are not fun to go against and I'm sorry you refuse to acknowledge the other side. Yeah dbd has problems but "survivors" aren't your enemies, most are just people who want a fun and engaging experience.

Sure the obvious "counters" exist like predropping ever pallet, or holding w, or stealth and rush gens. But those things aren't fun. When I'm a killer and a Meg pre drops everything i feel so bored. When my teammates hide and do nothing i get annoyed. Playing stealthy isnt fun. I hate looking for hiders as killer, and I'd rather show skill by being chased as survivor. Id rather go against survivors who have me constantly engaged with them, than walking around looking in bushes.

I'm just so sick of forum dwellers who hate the idea of both sides having fun. Killers who cry about survivor perks usually get carried by multiple regression perks.

Killers that complain about gen rush often overcommitted to a chase and then cry about looping.

Killers that cry about swf are parroting streamers and looking to excuse losses because they've probably never faced an actual tourney squad.

Killers who complain 24/7 are no different than entitled survivors who call every killer who beats them a tryhard, camper, tunneler, toxic etc. Both sides have biased idiots fueling a stupid divide. But there are people like me, a killer main since 2016 who plays both sides, who understands how miserable survivor can be. And the problematic designs of several anti fun killers. Not to mention survivors can be toxic, but i encounter more toxic killers, especially during events. Both sides have issues. But most just want fun.

I'm sorry you can't see the problems with some characters.. or simply refuse to acknowledge those problems because a bias but this isn't an argument. This isn't a biased hate fueled rant. I know its near impossible to concede or change any minds on the internet. But I'm just another human, asking you to be more open minded, to hear the legitimacy in what others can say. To put bias aside and think. To not admit you're wrong or apologize, but to just hear others out, to understand survivors have just as bad of a time as killers. That solo for example is the most miserable thing on dbd. And most importantly to understand we're all just people putting time into a game we care about and want what we think will help the game out.

Idk if you'll even read all this with an open mind or ignore it all and stay closed. But I'd appreciate if this at least changed any view, or perspective or just..at least opened your mind a bit more. I'm not the enemy. Im just somebody who cares about this game I've put thousands of hours into.

Is your enter button broken or something?

The map is fine. Being chased through it is a lot scarier than being chased on all the other maps for me. Every map doesn't have to be specifically designed for every killer to be able to use their power with ease. The map takes a lot of getting used to and as I said it hasn't even been out long enough for people to really learn it. I suppose any map though that isn't completely killer sided will be complained about by them because you know DBD is all about the sweat and try hards and not about having fun...

This map literally screws over half the killers because they cant use their powers efficiently or traverse the map. It doesn't need to be killer sided. It just needs to be fun to play.

And for survivors its just as bad, easy 3gens, bad pallets or god loops, no in between, regularly hitting struggle on first hook because its the size of red Forest with the layout of hawkins.

Its the worst map in dbd by far. It's designed for re2, not dbd. It needs to be changed or removed.

Actually, I play a ton of survivor (solo) and do consistently well at red ranks. I also do well against Nurse and Spirit, killers you claim have no counterplay. Running tiles is not thinking: it’s literally knowing them and running on autopilot. Guessing / outreading is definitely counterplay and is in fact what most pvp games are based around.

No. Guessing is not fun. Its literally no skill. Its luck.

Reading mind-games at a tile takes skill. Its not just generic looping. The best player will always win.

Most spirits don't feel like they're the better player or deserve the win. She has no counterplay beyond hope shes bad.

Killer is so easy its boring rn. At least for me and many other higher skill players who have been on dbd from the start. I have no respect for spirit mains lol. They play on easy mode

let's not forget 1 hour matches because no one can find anything

or people bleeding out because they struggled free cause killer couldn't find the way to the hook, and then can't find chests or teammates get knocked down again to again not get hooked even though the killer tries

True. How could i forget that.

Oh and gates which are impossible to defend.

    Basement challenges are near impossible.

3 floors for hatch to spawn.

    Huge deadzones.

    Lots of noises.

Honestly pretty ugly visuals, especially outside or by the helicopter.

Oh and have i mentioned the rare but still spawning lobby balcony hooks the killer can body block?

Map design is why dbd seems unbalanced. Move the map team to cosmetics and hire map designers with plural braincells devoted to balance. While the visual designers who mistakenly think they know anything about map design can go make awesome outfits or cutscenes.

  • 99% are just people having fun with friends and usually as bad as solos.

Swf is just an excuse for losing because most killers are bad and carried by stomping solos with like 2 or 3 regression perks. Like complaining about a perk until its nerfed them pushing another suddenly problematic perk to take its place. Killer is so easy compared to 2016 that it bores me. Or crying about gen rush when they've never experienced true gen rush or sweat squads in their lives.

Map design is the real problem. Relocate everyone who has touched map design in dbd to the cosmetic team and get actual map designers with any knowledge of balance beyond immersion.

Crying about the exaggerated rare issues i said before my map rant makes me wonder...Kind of like survivors who call every killer who beats them a camper/slugger/tunneler or sweaty lol. Both sides have excuses for bad gameplay on their end or being robbed by the worst map designers in gaming history (bhvr)

the map is too big, too claustrophobic, gens are spread way to far, pallets are either god pallets or the most unsafe pallets ever, door spawns are weird and it’s terrible for both sides

billy can’t even sprint longer then 5 seconds, blight can’t get threw doorways, trapper has not many options, nurse might not be the worse but it won’t be fun, maps too big for hag ect

    the map sucks.

Survivors hit struggle every 1st hook because most solo teammates get lost in the size or awful layout.

Its great. Maybe should have played re2 or 3 first to learn the layout.

I love hitting struggle on every 1st hook because my team didn't play re2 enough times to learn the layout.

I love not being able to use my power effectively on over half the killers.

I love not being able to prevent a 3gen or hook proxy because the map is 2 segments with 3 lanes

I love every window or pallet being infinites, god tier or useless.

Worst map I've every played in any game, ever. As a lifelong re fan, im taking the dc ban every time.

It doesn’t matter how good the killer is if there are 15 strong pallets in the area. There’s literally no gameplay. And I would argue that going against spirit and nurse is more fun because it actually makes the survivor have to think. Base survivor gameplay is boring because you do whatever you want.

Think? Lol chaining tiles and winning mind games is thinking.

Nurse and spirit have NO counterplay. You just guess and die. Literally easy mode for killer. Especially with 3 slowdowns like most artificial high ranks use to carry themselves.

They are incredibly unfun to play against because all survivor skill is irrelevant. You will go down in a chase unless they suck. There is no counterplay but stealth and genrush which isn't fun for both sides.

You clearly don't play survivor and sound deranged. Killer is so easy right now its boring for me. Killer mains make me ashamed to be a killer main. Such a entitled group who want free wins every game and hate the idea of losing to more skilled or experienced players. Or the dreaded idea of both sides having fun. We're done here.

I got the map tonight and I just can't believe how awesome it is. I got super emotional and literally just ran around looking at everything. I thought a licker was going to pop out somewhere in the halls when I was running down them. 😅 It even has the crashed helicopter! I know I probably missed a ton of things and can't wait to explore this place more and just take it all in. The only thing I would add to it is to have zombie arms reach through the windows in the outer halls when you run past them for a jump scare. That always freaked me out when I played RE 2. 😱

I'm going for those RPD badges every time I see them pop up in the blood web. This map is too great to not play it as often as possible. I can't thank you guys enough for making this happen.

Game isn't scary after like an hour lol.

Rpd is awful. I hit struggle every time time I'm 1st hooked because its a gigantic map designed for a different game.

It also punished fun killers Like Billy, Huntress, Oni, And even sucks for stealth killers because its huge.

Gens fly by and you often hit stage 2 or die on first hook. The chases suck, no fair windows or loops. Just god loops and unsafe trash loops.

Its cool you like the looks. It looks good.

But I'll take the 5min ban every time i get this unbalanced crap. I want fun balanced games. Not a map that is a guaranteed loss for many killers because it makes it near impossible to use their powers, not to mention it encourages stealth a gen rush which bore me as a survivor who loves being chased.

Its unhealthy for the game and easily the worst map for both sides. Every licensed map has looked great but been atrocious to play.

The problem is that there is very little skill for the survivor to show- playing survivor is all about memorizing tiles. Large and stacked loops have no counterplay for most killers, especially if the survivor plays safe. We need more killers like Nurse and Spirit because there is actual gameplay from both sides. Running from strong loop to strong loop is no fun for the killer and takes little to no survivor skill.

A good killer will always win a chase. Only bad players enjoy anti chase powers tbh

But how is that fun for survivors? Both sides deserve fun.

Killers that remove skill from survivor and just force stealth and genrush aren't healthy.

Spirit is brainless easy, at least nurse is hard to play. I can 4k every game as spirit with 0 perks or add ons from 20-1 in a single night lol.

  • @Steah said:

You can't have it both ways. Do you want to be favoured in the chase aspect or the macro aspect?

Normally as survivors you are suppose to have an advantage in the 4v1, but whenever you get a killer that's really good in the 1v1 the forums are full of people calling for a nerf.

    So which one?

I want fun chases with the better player winning through skill and knowledge. Not one side guaranteed an advantage with 0 counterplay or skill input.

Oni, Billy, Bubba, All powerful but fun to vs.

Spirit, Slinger, Pphead = coin toss at every loop. Get zoned, die.

Fun > balance. Sweaty dbd is dbd at its worst

Can we chill about it maybe? I get why everyone is upset but yelling at the DEVS and making posts demanding they fix it is not going to make things go any faster. I too paid for chapter DLC and keep getting screwed by the console lag (haven't played today since the update and I probably won't; I just don't feel like dbd today) but have your patience? Calling the devs lazy and not hearing you about this mess is not going to fix it faster. Think about this: this is DBD'S 5th year anniversary, it's huge. RE is part of that epic celebration so does it make sense they don't care enough about the map and bug fixes to fix it asap? No, no it does not. Marketing standpoint, it's bad business to let it stay in this state as long as possible so I highly doubt they're sitting back passing around a thing of doughnuts flapping their gums about how their weekend went, what plans they have for the week, etc. Some of you clearly do not understand the complexities of code - it's not easy so of course it's not going to be up and going within a day or whenever you demand it.

Do I think DEVS should improve in the future? Absolutely. I heard somewhere their engine is outdated, they should update it asap for smoother performances. Do more extensive tests for these chapters before releasing them. Someone suggested also having a PTB for console, that might help a lot for console statistics.

Tldr; some of you just need to learn patience. Play a different game in the meantime, go breathe some fresh air, keep calm and chill.

The prioritize stupid things like patching harmless or loved bugs and fun bugs over health and balance or game breaking bugs that have been here for years.

RPD will be the worst/most hated map in dbd history lol. Its so poorly designed like every licensed map or indoor map. It'll be fun for a few days..then after the honeymoon phase I'll begin to not play if i get it as killer.

  • @JimbusCrimbus said:

How is this a thing in 2021? Like, just how?

Trapper is boring asf to play as and against lol. "Ah unlucky. Locked in a rng device. Chase over"

Its realistic. If i saw a trap I'd jump over it instead of stepping in it. The real issue is survivors getting out on attempt 1 constantly while i still get held there long enough for him to cross the universe.

  • @Killing_Time said:

I never thought I'd see the day, people seriously complain about WRAITH being OP lol.

Hes not op. Quit saying the same thing to misrepresent people. You legit just spam reply the same sentence.

Its one add on that is overused and not designed for his current kit.

Its incredibly unfun to play against since wraith currently seems to be half of my survivor matches. Something tells me you don't play survivor unless you have to.

There's a massive difference between something being unfun/boring to play against and being op.

Nurse = op but not usually unfun because her skill cap and rarity. Still the only op character.

Deathslinger = boring because no chase interaction/counterplay beyond hope he's bad. No map pressure though so he's mid tier.

Boring does NOT mean op. It just means unhealthy design that isn't fun. Quit misrepresenting anyone you disagree with because you hate the idea of both sides having fun.

I want all totems to be easy to find when playing in Soloq mode, is that what you just said?

On a serious note, well that is the POINT of playing in SoloQ, you risk depending more on your teammates and without communication, If the bones are so much a problem for you, you are free to play in SWF to have a more organized team.

And yes, NOED is not OP but it needs a change because it rewards bad killers.

However, as I already said, you cannot compare a change between NOED and DH since they are 2 very different things.

Both second chances for playing badly that can cost the other side the entire match or be avoided.
