Straight up projectile slop. Again.
Now, I must admit that I wanted for Jason is largely a copy from the F13th game. And granted, he had a projectile there, but those were not only an extra when compared to his other powers, but they were also limited. You could run out of them, especially in longer games.
I didn't want projectile as a primary ability at all. It is unfortunate, but I won't play him.
It's okay to be wrong.

Yeah, I think it would be pretty fair for how open the map is in general compared to most others.
As killer you're very susceptible to blinds because there's very few walls to stare at. As survivor, the map has a lot of dead zones with no pallets - even in 2v8.
So, fair…doesn't mean what you think it means.

Rotten Fields feels pretty empty / open still. Would be nice to have the house + barn on opposite ends.
Still having major issues with Greenville. Please add at least one generator spawn to the parking lot, potentially even two. Right now, it's completely barren and empty causing the rest of the gen spread to be way too close together.
So basically you want 2 main buildings?

Bring back trying out DLCs for both killer and survivor for free , like last time I thought Chucky would be free to play for this 2v8. Previous 2v8 you could play for free with the vampire and pyramid head also we should play with more killers.
That's not up to BHVR. That's up to license holders.
-
We saw Legion removed because people didn't like versing him, and the Shadow class nerfed because stealth is too OP even with 8 survivors in the game, lol
The escapist class is insanely broken and needs to be toned down, as it's insanely boring to verse. Along with the catch up mechanic. Either remove it or balance it proportionately, because it still favors the survivors. Also, at this point, survivor in 2v8 is SO hilariously easy, there's no reason not to increase the gen count to 10, then it would actually be proportionately balanced.
-
@Kaitri said:
its trash. now you gave survivors even more reasons to not do gens and instead chase the killer, only to mess up the flashy save.
and its passive effect is worthless, even if anyone slugs in this mode, you can pick yourself up
Let's be real. In order to mess up a flashlight save these days you basically have to be blinding their crotch, lol
In all seriousness - I would have no issue with this class if beamer saves weren't so easy. They're way too easy for the potential damage they can do to a killers game.
-
Kill gen slowdowns.
Kill exhaustion perks.
-
If you require a pallet to be safe in order to be good, that's entirely a skill issue. An abundance of safe pallets overall is objectively bad design. There's no gameplay with safe pallets. There is only "lolbreakpallet". It's not a show of skill. There is no skillful play for a safe pallet on either killer or survivor.
If you think a pallet has to be safe to be good, you're not very good at the game. Plain and simple. Any other opinion is cope.
-
I rather enjoy it.
That being said, there's been things killers don't like versing for years that should be at the front of the "adjustment" line instead of a killer who was literally just updated.

So I just vaulted towards the killer with the perk active and within range only to be downed without the killer even getting stunned. And it's a pay to play perk, and you need 90 seconds to activate it, and also it's a one time use. Except you just can't use it. Can we please do something about the fact that it only stuns when you finish the vault animation, even though I clearly finished it here? What is this perk even useful for?

One thing you'll find, and it's been like this since day one in 2016, is that anything survivors do that killers don't find fun is perfectly fine and okay because "they're just trying to survive".
If the killer tries to win and survivors don't like it, we need base kit handholds to make that more difficult. People who disagree are biased and don't have a real opinion because they don't know the history of the game.
-
OP is right. Killer feels miserable. Queue times during peak hours prove it.

@CompetitifDBD said:
This isn't a thing because you can simply force them out of the trial. you even get more points and potentially someone fumbles and gives you a kill/hook for free. As for if you have someone hooked and you get this abandon situation prompt, you're getting a free kill which survivors may have been attempting to save, which is not fair for them. The difference between the slugging situation and this one is survivors have lost when they're all on the ground (unless they have anti slug perks) whereas with the hooked i end game situation they still have a chance to save. Robbing them of that oppurtunity to grant a free kill isn't fair.
That's stupid.
-
Why are survivors in high MMR allowed to have exhaustion perks and second chances, both of which are designed for beginner players?

Difference is merchant just gets 8 seconds oblivious but thats bad stealth and than her drones do nothing if survivors dont run around them and let the drones scan them so they get injured.
Trappers trap is worse designed but with his best addons and even basekit he can get more value out of them than merchant can, its hard to get injure from merchant drone when survivor can just hold ctrl or vault pallet over and over again but when survivor steps into the trap in the chase than its down most likely and thats huge difference or using iri addon booldy coil means every time survivor dissarms trap he looses health state which is still better than what merchant can do not to mention trapper actualy is one of best basement killers out there and can win whole game or get draw when he puts survivor into basement that can be trapped (the entrances can be traped) which gives him more stronger things and tools comapre to merchant.
Both are bad bot for me trapper still has something with his best addons and merchant was just nerfed to be made worst thats just facts.
Trapper has to collect his power. It's impossible for Skull Merchant to be worse.
Source: 15k hour Trapper main who's games get easier when he plays Skull Merchant.

There's no valid reason. No VALID reason. There should be options for both sides. Point blank period.

To be honest, a few aspects could be adjusted, but referring to measures like the anti-face-camping system as “hand-holding” for survivors is rather cringeworthy.

Current merchant is worse and trapper has still better addons with stronger effects and his traps actualy do something compare to merchants, no one almost no one plays trapper without some strong addons like both iri addons or dying stone which are addons that still hold him above merchant, difference is trapper was almost always naturaly worst killer and merchant was butchered into being worst killer because survivors didnt liked her (even now we got ghout and krasue but still survivors hate merchant more).
Trapper is worse. Objective fact.
Merchant has built in stealth, and doesn't have to go pick up her power. All things equal, she's not great, but she's better. Even if by a little. Period.

Cause it literally just means that no player who quits can even list their reasons if they are Killer-side related
It's a bit blurry, but is there not a box for writing what your issues are right under the selections?
That's irrelevant. Even if there is, they're hard focusing on survivor gripes and ONLY survivor gripes. Killer gripes are a blatant afterthought. There's a clear and obvious bias.

Did it occur to you that it's possible that they're not having a killer exodus but they are having a survivor exodus?
That must be why at peak times, outside of 2v8 and a few days after a new killer releases, survivor queues are upwards to 5 minutes, right? :)

Trapper IS the worst killer. Not ONE OF, he's objectively the worst, even worse than current Skull Merchant. That being said, using the weakest killer is no more unfair than it is to use the strongest killer as a reason to nerf a perk.

@kisfenkin said:
This entitlement is insane. You want to be rewarded for what, exactly? When the punishment was removed so was the reward.
Giving you even as little a boost as bloodlust as an incentive to not tunnel is more than what is deserved.
If you think you should get more and that this isn't enough, remember that there is no punishment for tunneling. You could just go do that still. So do that, and be happy that every time you get a unique hook you are still going to get that bloodlust boost. A completely and entirely unnecessary buff to all killers all of the time.
This is one of the most egregiously ignorant responses I've ever seen. Holy mother of mercy.

@coolgue1 said:
Killers returning to hook immediately after a survivor is unhooked has gotten way too common after 1 gen pops. It's in basically every game now. BHVR made it blatantly easy for them — the killer gets a free HUD notification the second someone is unhooked, and that’s all they need to just turn around and go right back. No guesswork, no risk, no strategy — just brute force abuse of the UI.
And the funniest part? These are the same killers who come to the forums crying about their matches being “too hard.” Maybe if they actually tried to chase and loop like the rest of us, instead of hook proxying and tunneling off the HUD, they’d learn something. But nope — just abuse the unhook info and play the most boring style imaginable.
BHVR, please — survivors are getting burned out. You’ve created a system where killers are rewarded for ignoring chases and skill, and just hovering around hooks to farm pressure. If you want the game to stay healthy, you need to fix this.
Suggestions:
Delay the unhook notification for killers
Add aura blocking or deterrents for hook returners
Even minus blood point gain so they can't farm for BP because it way to easy for killer to get max BP doing this and u can get max BP easily playing normal
Right now, the killer role is being babied with free info and no consequence, while survivors are punished for trying to play the game normally. It’s not balanced.
This is bait. This has to be bait. Cause this is the most "I just installed DBD" thing I've read in literal YEARS.
The game is the most survivor sided it's been in YEARS. Doesn't matter how many times you downvote, I'm correct. Period. Objectively.
Get good.

Legitimate Strategies don't have the devs working on exclusive fixes to them. Yet again.
They aren't working to "fix" them, and we don't even know what they are doing yet. They are working to deter them. There is a difference.
You can down vote me all you want - the only correct statement is mine, and you know it, bud.

I think before we talk about the brand new killer in the game and the aspect of his kit that's "unfun to go against", we address long standing things, on both sides (scary!) that are unfun to go against.

How do you avoid being caught out of position by a killer that can teleport around the map and spend basically the entire match Undetectable?
He can only teleport to set locations at gens. There's tells at every single door he teleports to. Learn them. Run away. It's not hard.
Well, not for decent players anyway.

Just because something isn't bannable doesn't make it a "legit strat", because yet again, if it was a "legit strategy" they wouldn't be **ACTIVELY CHANGING IT**.
It is a legitimate strategy though. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it less legitimate.
-
You know AFRO posted that as a joke right?
There is counterplay - don't be out of position. if you're not in a deadzone, which is your own fault anyway, holding M2 does nothing.

Tunneling is fine any time as long as repairing more than one generator at a time is fine for survivors.

Almost no antitunnel will help you against nurse which knows how to use her power thats it.
Only problem I have with ds is that its still not that good perk, if killer want you tunnel out he will still go through it and wont care, it hurts more when you dont tunnel survivors still try to force you eat it.
I mean, using nurse as a benchmark is silly. She's one out of 40 killers.
But also, DS is only as good as the survivor running it. If you're getting no value from DS, you messed up. Badly.
-
That's not a myth. The opening line is true. McLean (a former dev) used to literally say - they expect more from killers. They expect killers to be able to do and handle more. Survivor is balanced, inherently, around a lower skill floor than killer. They may deny it all they want now but that much is evident, and anyone who doesn't know DBD would see that from the outside looking in.
It's not a myth. Your average survivor is mid at best and is the sum of their perks. Nothing more. Why do you think they crumble so fast without their exhaustion/Windows of Opportunity and resort to the most low skilled plays like pre-running and predropping? Because they aren't good in chase, and they know it.

This is why im kinda shocked by Mandys reply, as a member of BHVR.
Notice the downvotes we're getting. The narcissistic and ego driven survivor mains need the validation of making the killer watch them at the gate. Without that, they have nothing.
-
No. It's 2v8. It's a party game mode. Survivors have some extremely busted stuff as well, let's not whine our way into overbalancing this too.
-
They still move. Just not if a teammate is nearby. I've seen it myself.

Friendly reminder - anyone against this idea is objectively incorrect and just needs to admit they're either okay with bullying, or are a bully themselves.

But the second you W+S a survivor - cancelled on Twitter. Only survivors are allowed to humiliate and ego on a killer. BHVR justifies it at every turn. Can't take away the precious survivor mains narcissistic ego.

the difference in this case, is that survivors can do nothing about the being in dying state, however the killer can do a lot to force survivors out of the match.
But why should killers have to be forced to experience that kind of terrible feeling? It doesn't feel good. Why do you guys consider that acceptable? Yet if survivors get themselves slugged, it's a huge issue and they can get themselves a free draw.
All due respect, at what point do we start admitting there's a bias here? Do you not care about people who've grown up being bullied? And yet, something that is objectively a correct solution…nah, can't have that, survivors like humiliating the killer and being toxic, and we have to make sure the narcissists can ego on the killer, right? It's a bit silly.
I mean no disrespect but I need some sort of solid explanation why this isn't a thing, and why every abandon scenario favors the survivor directly. The community deserves to know why even if there ISN'T a bias toward survivors, it always seems like there is one, especially since survivors getting themselves slugged is a huge problem, yet it's deemed acceptable for killers to have to be subjected to anxiety and humiliation.

Really, it's only about five or six on the lower end that can't benefit from the steady buffs we've been getting, and that's being pretty generous - if I were being as strict as possible without going overboard I'd probably say there's only two killers who truly struggle to engage with the game on a fundamental level.
That's just an incorrect opinion.

I think it's more than fair to say since the reveal that there'll be no survivor, it will likely lead to more of the newer people playing Killer instead.
Not that there won't be an influx of new people to survivor but if you think about the biggest chapter that brought in players, it had content for all sides. ST & RE both had 2 survivors and a killer which meant no matter what everyone had new content.
I'm sure some Fnaf fans will wanna play DBD to see the Fnaf style gameplay from the survivor side but the lack of survivor really hinders that I think.
I'm not saying there won't be new people coming to play survivor, but it's not like how it was in the past. This is likely to be the largest amount of new players wanting to almost exclusively play the killer role in a long, long time. Maybe ever. I think even if there was a survivor, the fact that this is the first time the FNAF audience can actually take full control of Springtrap is the big deal for them. Survivor isn't alluring to them because they've basically done that already.

That's still pretty good for killer, to be fair.
Absolutely everything else gets stronger on average, specifically regression gets slightly weaker on average. That's a pretty good trade to me, I'd rather be able to run the fun variety builds with a higher potency than the same old same old every game.
A good trade - for the top 5 or 6 killer characters in the game. Which is less than 1/4 of the entire killer roster.

That means shift-Wing to yellow safe pallet aura isn't a good strategy against Kaneki. And that's okay.
