I personally liked PTB version more.
but I am just happy rats won't be that annoying now.Sole survivor+Low profile+ left behind+self care/lucky star and a key
enjoy

game balance just doesn't work that way
-
I agree with you but not the scenario you provided
-
The rank based system was a joke:
Deranking was the easiest thing, you would know exactly when to stop (and worst of all you would get matched against brown ranks after a long break)
the matchmaking didn't work most of the time so you had reds and purples against green, yellow and sometimes even brown. my first killer match ever was against a red rank claudette. And my first killer game after a 3 month break was against a bully swf. My first survivor game ever was against a prestige 3 doc (it was before you could go above prestige 3) and during the ruin/undying meta brown/yellow rank were flooded with killers running that build.
It was pretty easy to reach red ranks (at least as survivor) so the scenario you used would happen anyway. Your teammates were either terrible or you were the weak link by a mile.
I'm not going to pretend the current system works, but its better than what we had before by a mile.

problem with hook sharing is it requires trust.

Teammates Selling you out can be reported. That is against the game rules.
and it never gets enforced because you need video evidence.
-
- the game is SWF sided.
- A lot of killers have cheesed their way into stronger opponents.
- The Meta punishes survivors for doing anything else besides gens, so its "genrushing" all the time
- MMR is not doing its job properly
- The game is in a very snowball state, so if killer can't get one kill, they are at a disadvantaged state
- Players who think they are more skilled than they are (TBF its symptom of online games in general)
-
this is why you dont buy chapters for competitive advantage.
-
barely noticed, i rarely get a survivor killed from the hook timer
-
I have noticed a big drop in survivor skill in my killer matches. In my survivor matches i get matched with survivors and killers who are definitely above my skill level

I will copy paste my reply from another post :
Bleeding out a survivor is no worse than when survivors intentionally drag out the game by camping at the exit gates after they've already won. This happens in about 80% of the games, sometimes survivors even split up across the map, forcing the killer to chase them to both exit gates and the hatch.
Yet, when a killer slugs a survivor for a few minutes, there’s often a big uproar, and players rush to the forums to complain.
If this is such a big concern, there are perks available to counter it and if you’re not willing to use a perk slot for that, then maybe the issue isn’t as big as it’s being made out to be.
Ideally, neither of these situations would happen - But the reality is that both do, and exit gate camping is much more common than slugging. If anything, it might be worth having the developers focus on how to address exit gate camping first, - maybe by adjusting blood point rewards to discourage staying in the game after the exit gates are opened.
Bleedouts do take longer, but they’re really rare. I can’t even remember the last time I saw one in my games. (not talking about the 2 vs 1 slug for last kill)
Considering that survivors camp at the exit gates in 80% of the games anyway, does it really matter?
In the end, if one team drags out the game, it’s only natural that the other team might do the same in response. But when the tables are turned, it suddenly stops being fun for some.
It’s hard to know whether to laugh or cry about it.
And just to clarify, I’m not a killer main anymore.
You are (smugly) trying to equate a situation where survivors are unable to do anything at with a situation where the killer can just push survivors out.
If this is such a big concern, there are perks available to counter it and if you’re not willing to use a perk slot for that, then maybe the issue isn’t as big as it’s being made out to be.Unbreakable- 1 use
Soul Guard - extremely conditional
No Mither - lol

saying alt tab out of the game is not an acceptable statement and goes against any argument claiming this is acceptable.
-
Yes please i love bashing new players and getting matched against the top 1st.
-
no because they nailed the killer's themes. Only thing that sucks about the killer is its just another victim of a stale meta.

The reason to even have the number is to show it off. If you can't show it off, why even have the number?
the old way, you screenshot and share it on social media

tbh i dont want em to hide profiles. I would love to see if x person has VAC bans so i can dodge potential hackers.
VAC ban is not a reliable indication, a hacker is way more likely to use a fresh new account rather than a old one. And there's more games that use EAC than VAC.

I play healer and i can say its because its boring class and you can't focus solely on healing or otherwise you waste too much time
-
RPD
-
I can see that as a soloq stumper for survivors that rely on items but against the rest i don't see that being that much useful, especially since now survivors will know when you are in a chase.

You know, there's no place where survivor can spawn where there's no gen
You have seven gen on the map, with practically everytime, a distance between them, which means they occupy the entire map
With this information, where do you want survivor spawning? Near the gate? You have a lot of time one gen near each door..
And, for adding something, with the new "meta rework map" where Dev seems to make all the map smaller, at some point, you CAN'T have a survivor far away a gen on the beginningthere's definitely enough space on maps for 4 survivors to spawn in, without being right next to a gen especially when Treatment Theatre is the smallest map in the game.
bringing up the map reworks is a moot point because we don't even know in what state the game will be by then (assuming they go trough with it).
-
Survivor spawns is the problem not gen time

So we got a question: we're each of these survivors going all out as well?
i can easily see op's tactic, stomping on solo q and duos

people still play this like? like DBD is like street fighter/fighting game or FPS esports game with money on the like.
people got to remember this game so random and full of bugs it can never be a true esports game, also if your going to use the most broken add on or perks or best killer in the game you shouldn't complaining the side they play on to easy.
like swf group saying survivors to easy but the fact the they using voice chat and best items and add on or perks.
most play for the fun if we can.
TBF its an issue with the gaming community at large where players will optimize the fun out of the game but with this community you get players rely on meta and cheese tactics and then turn around and complain about only facing other players who rely on meta and cheese tactics.

To spray on a wall you mean? If so, that would probably be the clunkiest solution attempt to solo q communication lmao
no its my bad for using the wrong term but i mean something like this
-
stickers that survivors can use to communicate with each other.
-
Laurie
-
personally I'm not stocked for the game mode, for me the main draw of killer is i could fit my playstyle to my own term and only face the consequence of losing but with 2v8 i have meet the other player halfway.

Slugging is easier than playing "normally"
I hope more killers take notice of this and start doing it until BVHR does something to fix it
they did but the solution didn't stick

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ jokes on you i never use anniversary items, also no cake offering btw
-
No it would be a waste of time, you have to remember, neither party knows how they look or where they live.
-
OH NO WE'VE BEEN FOUND OUT! THE HOOMANS KNOW!!

slaping a license on another license is not going to fly for either license holders.

Where is the info on the Mage Hand nerf?
-
They aren't bot they are just playing the game casually.
-
While im not worried about DBD, what about the other projects?
-
IF you mean to get it back from a survivor, You have to hook a survivor 2 times before you can retrieve them, Survivors just need to hit a 20 on chest.
-
Everyone who was curious probably watched the streamers play on PTB (assuming they weren't interested in playing the PTB themselves) , so now its just waiting for it to drop on June 3rd.
-
Nope, there was a time where the result screen would show the wrong build for killers and i got accused of "Modding" by a salty 3 swf, to this day i haven't received anything by BHVR. In my experience, you are more likely to get away with breaking the rules than get punished without breaking them.
-
DBD is the go to game because of its age and licenses, the other games fail for a multitude of reasons but the biggest one is they aren't safe to get into as they might shut down soon after release.
-
If i dont play killer i primarily soloq, because all my friends had terrible experiences that drove them out of the game.
Friend number one (has less than 20h of play time) kept getting singled out and tunneled
Friend number two (veteran who played a lot with his own group) kept getting frustrated with the state of the game
friend number three (only plays with friends, sitting at like 43 hours) kept getting bad experiences
I refuse to play with strangers because of my dislike of this community
the best way to enjoy this game is custom matches.
-
yes I would say players "maining" certain killers is extremely common, the average player is more likely to seek comfort in a playstyle that satisfy them until they get bored rather than constantly try to mix things up.
-
My biggest issue with asym games is they all insist on having 4 survivors.
-
Because no one likes losing and some people can't control themselves so they take it out on others (you).

not good enough for people as a guide to the game? I mean, it is basically the offical copendium for the game, no?not really, for a new player it can be confusing
-
9/10 its done out of spite, nothing else. Hatch only exist to give the last survivor a reason to keep playing, its not a win for the survivor or a loss for the killer its just a pity.
-
LOOK AT HIM! LOOK AT HIM!
-
Id rather let them die because if dedicated enough they can make you regret saving them.
I get that this community is filled with spite and would rather make the game even more miserable for the remaining 2 players to "prove a point" but i have more interesting things to do with my life than playing pissing contest with someone who probably doesn't care.
-
I say make Chaos shuffle players match with normal players, and voila everyone is happy.
