  • I feel like the bloodweb needs to be scrapped entirely, just let us buy perks and addons directly. Make the higher rarity ones cost more BP, like say 20k for an iri killer addon or something. Make the farming addons free.

  • I think a fnaf chapter would bring a lot of unsavory people into dbd, including a lot of annoying kids

Personally I also think he's a boring character with very little potential for a unique power....

I don't know if its the lack of sleep or if this is genuinely confusing. Because even after reading the article and searching up tf an NFT is, I still have no idea what it is.

Can some one dumb it down please? :(

    also why is it bad?

You know how there's companies out there that let you buy a star? It's like that.

NFTs are essentially a unique string of numbers that gives you "ownership" over a digital file. They are horrible for the environment because they use a ######### ton of power and resources. Also, the places hosting your NFT could be wiped, destroyed, or taken down at any time in the future since they are digital.

To even purchase an NFT, you also have to convert your money into an unstable, easily manipulated cryptocurrency- ethereum.

  • Best case scenario: It's fake.

What will probably happen: It's real, and then BHVR tweets "due to blah blah overwhelming negative feedback, we have decided to blah blah cancel our NFT partnership."

overwhelming negative feedback...wait...since when do they care about that?

What will ACTUALLY happen: the game will lose a massive chunk of it's playerbase. BHVR will not care because some morons will buy the NFTs anyways.

  • My friend and I can instantly tell when a killer has NOED based on one chase with them, it really does come down to performance.

No mindgames? No red stain tricks? Not respecting pallets? No death hooks at 1 gen left? Insta-down killer barely using his power? Yeah, I'm doing bones. They kinda tend to play half-assedly too. Like "oh whatever do gens I'll just get ya with NOED 😎"

Also I'm pretty sure every single ghost face I've ever gone against has used NOED. Seriously. I was keeping tally at one point but literally every single one had it.

  • Survivor: Ace. He just seems like a great dude to be around, always got that dumb smile on his face.

Killer: Deathslinger. I wanna hear his crazy ass cowboy bounty hunting stories.

  • Clown's power is currently the only one in the game that can directly benefit the survivors AND punish him at the same time. I'm sorry, but this alone makes him garbage for me.

  • I'm honestly shocked we got Cybil before Maria. Just seems like a no brainer

  • Bleugh, funkos are so soulless and cheap. Those $300 statues are awesome, but I'd rather have a something in the $30-$60 price range.

  • It's petty and a waste of everyone's time. You know what's makes you look good? Killing them normally without a hint of salt. Mr clicky is not doing gens. Go for his team and make him look dumb. If mr clicky clicky gets left on the floor for 4 minutes, he knows that he annoyed you enough to do that.

    You're no better than them.

  • Father Gascoigne from Bloodborne. I'm not really sure what they could do for a unique power, but in my mind I think he'd be perfect as a legendary skin for Oni(with custom sounds and animations.)

I'm not. The offering itself says considerable. I have had multiple personal experiences and made multiple observations of the realm offering not taking effect when played alone. Just because it is unlikely does not make it impossible. :|

You're mistaken. In the code, the current map offerings are guaranteed to send you to that map(unless there's multiple offerings.) I remember reading somewhere that the chance is set to 999%.

The map offerings we had in the past had partial chances (10% for commons and 50% for uncommons I think), but none of them spawn in the bloodweb anymore.

The only reason a map offering wouldn't work right now is if the map is disabled by the devs.

  • Ehhhh, the shock wave takes some brain power to avoid but torment is basically nothing. It's extremely easy to avoid, and a huge waste of time to place trails if you cant even catch a tormented survivor in the first place.

  • Steam only does maintenance on tuesdays around 4-5pm EST. It also doesn't interrupt matches already in progress from my experience

Personally its because he sticks out liker a sore thumb compared to other killers. With legion and ghost face they have darker color schemes n having masks adds to the horror factor because the unknown scares people. If the made him paler and darken his bright jacket he would look great.

If he just looked like every other killer it wouldn't be as interesting, imo. The flashy style and personality make him stick out in a cool way, and people who kill irl don't often have a costume or hidden identity. Making him look like a zombie would hurt the character they were going for.

  • The achievements are just inconsistent. Myers' achievement also says "it."

  • Banning modders? What? You don't mean the custom icons not working anymore, do you? That wasn't cheating. People just changed how perk and item icons looked. It was purely cosmetic and didn't affect gameplay at all.

  • Finally someone said it. I can only tolerate one match of demo per session, the noises are just way too much.

Same thing with Billy, ever since they gave him the yell, and made the chainsaw noise get higher pitched after using it I can't stand playing him anymore.

  • I'm not sure why a HUD even needs a trial run. You can literally just look at it and you can know if its good, its not something you need to feel, like a new killer power or movement mechanics or whatever. What confuses me even more is that they committed to it, like maybe you could have shown the same thing to us as a mockup first instead? So weird...

  • No. Spine chill isn't handing out any free escapes. It's a bit ######### for stealth killers, but once you realize a survivor has it, you can play around it easily.

  • The best way you can learn how to play against a killer is to play that killer. Your entire post reads like someone who has never played nurse.

  • It's ruins the match for 4 other people. Less points for everyone as well.

And seriously, a free win...? Do you honestly think like that? If every survivor instantly died as soon as the match started, would you consider that a win?

  • I guess Pyramid Head is sorta innocent? Not really good or evil, he's just doing his job.

  • "His cooldown after a dash isn't long enough to make any real distance-"

Correct. You aren't supposed to just keep running. You're meant to take unpredictable paths and try to confuse him. Don't just hold W, that makes it easy for him.

  • Matchmaking has been broken like this for a year, maybe more. The devs aren't going to ~secretly~ turn it on, chill out.

  • Hahaha imagine having to break pallets

This post is sponsored by The Nurse™

  • "The DEVOUT Emblem represents the Killer's ability to sacrifice and kill Survivors."

"The general way I play is to hook everyone twice and let them escape."

  • Stop. Buying. Battle. Passes.

As long as people keep falling for this bullshit, more games will keep making them.

  • First survivor match: Miss 5 skillchecks and die because I didn't play the tutorial and had no idea what was going on. This was like 2 years ago and I uninstalled the game immediately lmao. Later I watched my friends play the game and I got back into it.

First killer match: Trapper. I put traps all around gens and hooked survivors. Surprisingly effective, I got a 3k and when it came to the last guy I put every single trap around the hatch because I had no idea you could close it. Didn't work but it was pretty funny. I think I also got hit with head on twice in that match but I had no idea what it was, so I just avoided lockers cause I thought anyone could stun you.

  • I like to believe that Susie's rat descriptions are just her telling an exaggerated story. Like "guys look! I stole some #########, I'm so hardcore! Oh and uh, uh, I also stabbed a guy!!"

Same with the tome video, maybe it's meant to be Julie's recalling of the event?

  • Here are some handy ways to deal with tinkerer

    1. Use your eyes and watch for the killer.
    2. Just leave the gen and hide.
    3. Spine chill.
    4. Use a toolbox and/or brand new part at the END of the repair, not the beginning.
    5. Repair with more than one person. Seriously, the last 30% goes by so fast it basically makes the perk useless.

If you know the killer has it, you shouldn't fall for it more than once.

  • This is just embarassing

  • I always make the killer force me out with a hit, It buys a little extra time for my teammates. If they just ignore me then there's a chance I can rescue someone, or even snag an item or totem. If everyone is safe though, I just leave.

  • Oh, sorry. You got unhooked, fully healed, and completed a gen, but I picked you up at the 59th second. I'm such a filthy tunneler, so sorry.

  • Great, now I have to search the entire map for 10 minutes because 3 people died at 5 gens and the last guy is hiding.

  • Killers get lonely, I'm just tryna help them make some new friends....

  • Battle passes will always be a big grindy scam. Stop buying them.

  • Having 2 passive perks is so boring...AND they can be removed? ugh. I'd rather use perks that help me in chase or give me abilities. If you're so worried about gen speeds, try running corrupt.

  • I think the blight itself is like a parasite, and its forcing his body to inject more so it can stay alive.

  • Extremely annoying. I want to play the game, not sit and do nothing for 5 minutes(on top of the 10 minutes spent in survivor queue).

  • yeah im sure a bunch of video game devs are satanic illuminati trying to brainwash people with cosmetics.

    get real dude

  • It would be nice if teachables would automatically be given to every other survivor if you unlock them on one. Like if I unlock dead hard on david, every other survivor I have should just have dead hard level 1 available. Still a pretty big grind, but not nearly impossible like it is now.

  • So you want to encourage LESS interaction between the survivor and killer...?

Survivors already have it boring enough- most of their gameplay is just mindlessly holding m1. Gens, healing, chests, totems, etc.

Stealthy survivors are so boring it's painful. I would rather get ran around the map for 5 minutes than spend 5 minutes trying to find someone hiding in a corner. At least during a chase a survivor has to use their brain, even around little ######### loops.

  • I think the sound mixing is just off. It'll probably sound better on release

  • If everyone is down at 5 gens, I don't really think it was going to be an interesting match for any of us. No point in dragging things on.

Freddy has been one of my mains since his release.

He used to be DRAMATICALLY different to the Freddy you know now.

Considered weak by many, but in reality devastatingly strong in the hands of those who mastered him, he made repairs and escape WAY more impossible than the current Freddy ever could.

Firstly all survivors start awake and Freddy had to manually put survivors asleep. Dream Demon was a ranged power that could start the falling asleep process at range.

While survivors are awake Freddy was 100% invisible. Survivors do not hear the TR, they hear the lullaby. It also only had a range of 24m. Survivors could only know where Freddy was if they were attentive to moving grass or disturbed crows. However while they’re awake Freddy CANNOT hit them/hurt them.

This is why he was widely considered weak due to a misunderstanding of what Freddy’s true power actually is: Reconnaissance and INCREDIBLE game stall.

When Freddy used Dream Demon on an awake survivor it would take 7 seconds (at base) for a survivor to fully fall asleep. During this time they still can’t be hurt and they only intermittently see Freddy (similar to the current 16m to 32m range intermittent visibility). Freddy is meant to use this 7 second transition period to confuse and circle around a survivor to get into optimal position to hit them as soon as the 7 second transition ends. Or he just simply runs off to find other survivors to put to sleep.

Once survivors are asleep their aura is visible to Freddy 100% of the time, anytime they’re outside of his 24m terror radius. They also suffer a 50% action speed penalty at base. 50 PERCENT!!! With the right add ons and perk combos it was possible to make survivor action speeds take MORE THAN TWICE as long in the Dream World. This included gate opening too.

Freddy had no ways to help in a chase, other than drawing the game time out and getting survivors to eventually use up all the pallets. So no Snares. No dream pallets.

Survivors could wake up by finding awake teammates or failing skill checks. No alarm clocks.

The trick with old Freddy is to never let any survivor that wakes up to stay awake for long. You wanted survivors to keep wasting their own time by failing skill checks over and over and continually ruining their own repair progress.

If in the event of all gens still being repaired, good luck getting a gate open. Smart Freddy’s would ensure anyone awake was put to sleep again making sure he would ALWAYS know when someone was at a gate switch, so could run and shoo them off, and opening gates would take FOREVER, especially with Remember Me.

Holy crap, thank you for the full details on freddy's old power. I couldn't find any info on it anywhere, not even the wiki.

  • As killer, I know a few names on PC red ranks that use OoO all the time, so I just try to avoid them.

As survivor, I'll leave the lobby if my team starts saying some weird or racist stuff in chat.

  • All they had to do was nerf crack billy and remove instasaw. The overheat mechanic is completely unnecessary. Unique addons like the stealth one and the pallet one are cool, we need more of those.

  • Iron will lets me disappear mid chase. What other perk can do that? Quick and quiet maybe?
