People do it because they're sore winners that feel the need to rub their opponents face in the dirt in order to make themselves feel better. As others have mentioned, it's the same thing when survivors be d-bags in the exit-gates.
But hey, atleast the Huntress hooked the guy afterwards. I've had so many killers watch me bleed out while they BM it isn't even funny.
-
Exact same as yours, except as survivor, if I know I'm about to go down & get sacrificed, I like to turn around and exchange head nods with the killer before I meet my demise. That's when I know I had a good match.
Edit: Pulling off a Deception play is always fun as well so I guess I could say that..
-
Being realistic, taking away the infection mechanic would be stripping away what makes Nemesis, well.. Nemesis. That's literally his power in the games besides the rocket launcher & sprint.
-
Yeah, I have no idea why some people think he's in the same tier as Trickster & Legion.. that's just ridiculous.
I'd agree that he is a B tier killer and with a few minor buffs, he'd be top-tier in no time because of how much variety his kit has, similar to Freddy. He has chase ability, map information, and map pressure. The only thing he doesn't have is mobility, but you can't have it all.
Maybe some people got overly-excited for him and as a result sees his power as weak, but I mean come on. He just came out, people need to take time to both learn to play against him & as him.
-
You're downplaying this way, way too much. This update has not only caused a majority of their player base to deem the game unplayable due to a ridiculous amount of lag, but it has also been making consoles overheat on a game that is 5 years old.
That is not okay, and we as the players need to speak up about it. Maybe if this kind-of thing didn't happen every single update they put out there wouldn't be such an uproar, but BHVR has a reputation for this.
Not to mention, this is literally their anniversary chapter and they managed to screw it up this much. I don't know how they do it, truly. As for the BP, it's basically a 'sorry' from the devs which is appreciated but 300k is just a joke considering the endless grind in this game, but that's another discussion for later.
-
When I played my very first match against him and heard how loud it was I about jumped out of my seat. It's like Elodie's scream all over again.

Leading them away and bugging them out takes like 5 seconds. you are grossly exaggerating how impactful they are when Nemesis ain't around.
You also haven't said how Nemesis is better than Phead. You keep saying he is but not explaining how,I have said several times how Phead is better than Nemesis. Saying Nemesis is better than Phead does not mean he is.
Again you can't do much with the info. Yeah it is better than not having the info but there is a reason why most people don't use Barbecue and Chilli on Trapper and Hag because info on where people are is way less valuable when you can't do anything. If i see a zombie aggro onto someone across the map that doesn't help me that much because i can't walk my ass over there fast enough to do anything so while its better than not knowing it does not help much at all.
Shift w is more effective vs Nemesis than others because you have to triple hit through two speed boosts and if not you are just m1 killer with nothing to help. His tentacle strike is about the same as huntress Hatchet at a loop until the pallet is dropped than he is better but it is not some god tier anti loop power.
Yes, once you hit tier 3 you have it the whole match. The trade off is your tier 3 is comically weaker than the other twos. That is not a worthwhile trade off.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2280622#Comment_2280622
What do you mean Doctor is one of the best anti loopers in the game. Shocking prevents vaults and pallet drops. Nemesis has to hit 3 times to down through 2 speed boosts, if not he is just a m1 killer. GF has stealth and 1 shot. Nemesis has a decent anti loop you need to build up and inconsistent zombies. I think GF takes it over him. Not as weak early and at their strongest GF one shots everyone and Nemesis still needs to 3 hit people
Leading them away and bugging them out takes like 5 seconds. you are grossly exaggerating how impactful they are when Nemesis ain't around.
I'm not exaggerating at all, it takes way more than 5 seconds to bait them out to an object because of how ridiculously slow they are, and there's no guarantee they're going to get bugged. They'll end up pestering you at the gen again. I've had it happen to myself more times than I can count, you're downplaying it way too much.
You also haven't said how Nemesis is better than Phead. You keep saying he is but not explaining how,I have said several times how Phead is better than Nemesis. Saying Nemesis is better than Phead does not mean he is.
Except.. I did? Read this again: "Nemesis can easily bait survivors into his tentacle and if they throw down pallets early, can get it out of the way at the same speed. Pyramid Head on the other hand is way different because an early pallet drop and shift+w means trouble as you've now just lost a massive amount of distance." If you still don't get it, it means Nemesis can get pallets out of the way by baiting compared to Pyramid Head who has a much larger CD for baiting as well as no pallet breaking included in his power. Shift+w is a lot stronger against Pyramid Head than it is Nemesis. I think the only thing that is better than Nemesis is his Punishment of the Damned.
While I agree with this, info isn't always going to be across the map. It's heavily dependent on the survivors but if they vaccinate right next to you, you'd know. I say this is still useful no matter the situation because other killers simply do not have it, and if I know someone vaccinated near a gen, you best know I'm going to go check on that gen. It's better than nothing.
Once again, I partially agree but a good Nemesis baits his power just like Pyramid Head (which brings me back to my point from earlier) and most survivors wouldn't get away with a shift+w because of it, given he can break pallets with his power and be right back on the chase.
Yes, once you hit tier 3 you have it the whole match. The trade off is your tier 3 is comically weaker than the other twos. That is not a worthwhile trade off.
At the end of the day, everyone has their own opinions and while I personally think the trade-off is worthwhile, but you might not. Killers are subjective because it mainly relies on that persons playstyle which is why I can understand why people such as yourself think he's weak. But as I've said before, with a few minor buffs he can become top-tier, but that doesn't make him dirt-tier now. A lot of people in this thread seem to agree with that.

Ah, it's just opinion. There are a few Switch / Lite players here on the forum and we seem to all enjoy the game on that console, but I have no doubt there are others that have good reasons for hating it. Well, maybe anyway. The game is basically a 1:1 port of the PC version, just with some lower res textures here and there and 30 FPS instead of 60. The game IS dark, at least darker than my monitor, but if I jack the Lite's brightness settings to max it's not all that bad. For me it would be difficult to hate it. Fire it up again if it's been a while, it may have been updated with some glitch fixes since you played it last?
If I remember correctly the controls ARE slightly different in that I think the position of the A and B buttons are different on the Lite than they are on the 360 controller, which is what I use to play all my PC games (heresy, I know lol). Speaking of controls the very first thing I bought for the Switch was a snap-on set of hand grips which also makes a BIG difference. I simply can't comfortably play the Lite because it's basically a flat console with the sticks very close to the edge. This thing here made things so, SO much better.

I'll definitely have to try those out and give the game another chance because playing DBD on the go is really fun, I have to admit.
I also want to point out that I don't hate playing on Switch at all, but since I have other options I'd rather not. I experienced 2 years of 30 FPS & lag on PS4, don't really feel like replicating the same thing on Switch..

It actually really isn't! Though I play on the Lite, specifically, and I've read that the game performs better in portable form, strangely enough. No glitches at all that I remember. Certainly nothing as serious as missing face models, lol.
Seriously, it's crazy fun to sit there in bed, in the dark, and play the game. I also played it while in a hotel and in my van while vacationing across a few states. I've also told people that my proudest DBD moment thus far was when I needed to charge the Lite and went into a crowded Walmart on a Friday night and plugged it into the wall where they keep the motorized carts. Standing there, up on my feet, in a bright, loud, distracting Walmart interior, as people were constantly going past me, I managed to get a 4K with Michael Myers.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/M8FW4SB189PZ/9mns582.jpg
Oh wow.. I stand corrected!
No but seriously, whenever I play DBD on the Switch (and this was a long time ago because it was so bad), not only was it extremely laggy, but the maps are way darker than other platforms & I wasn't used to the controls. I bought a Switch for portability and therefore always want to play it in handheld mode, but I just can't get the hang of the controls when playing DBD even if I change them.
With that being said.. I plan to buy the Hori controllers for the Switch and the first game I'm going to try is DBD.. so let's hope it fixes my problem.
-
His map pressure being zombies is laughable. Have you seen the Ai on those things? it walks up to you, you do a loop around it, and bam it's not starring at the wall. At best they are a minor nuisance. And yes the zombies and vaccine are map info but since you have no mobility you can't do much with that info a lot of the time.
The zombies dominate in indoor maps because survivors don't have many places to run to. With that being said, I'm assuming you think they're useless in outdoor maps and while they aren't as promising, they can and will pester you off of a gen and there's nothing you can do about it other than trying to lead them away & bug them out on an object. I've noticed a lot of Nemesis players run Ruin because it's extremely useful as the gen you were on is regressing while you're trying to lead the zombie away.
Also how is he better than Phead? Because he can break loops with his power? Phead can hit multiple people through walls with a bigger hitbox.
Base Nemesis with Tier 1 is very weak compared to Pyramid Head, but as his power gets stronger throughout the match, he is definitely better than Pyramid Head, even if it's only by a smudge. Nemesis can easily bait survivors into his tentacle and if they throw down pallets early, can get it out of the way at the same speed. Pyramid Head on the other hand is way different because an early pallet drop and shift+w means trouble as you've now just lost a massive amount of distance.
his map info and map pressure are minimal at best and his map mobility is worthless.
Obviously his map mobility is worthless, he has none. As for the map info/and pressure, they are definitely useful. A survivor getting f*cked over by a zombie as well as being hit by killer instinct from a vaccine can be the difference between a free escape or not. Knowing a survivor is on a certain part of the map, especially if it's near a gen is valuable info as you'll know what they're doing and what they're probably going to do next. That's like saying the killer instinct from Victor is useless even though you can put him in some pretty jacked spots to keep track of the survivors.
Yes he is strong at loops after you have already hit the survivor and let them speed boost away.
Like I said, he needs a buff to where this doesn't happen.
But Oni injures survivor on a hit and they leave blood orbs that give him tracking. Myers is stealthed and has a way easier time earning his power because survivors again don't speed boost away. And what do those two get, they both get insta down attacks and can immediately end a game once they proc there power if it all lines up correctly.
Nemesis can track infected survivors by their coughing, which isn't a huge plus, but it's there give or take. Not as good as Plagues though. As for Myers, he's going to spend a very small amount of time in stealth unless he has addons specifically for that. Not to mention, a survivor going behind objects and cutting corners efficiently is his #1 counterplay, just like how playing safe & staying at jungle gyms is Oni's counterplay. Don't act like Nemesis's power is so easy to avoid if it's the same scenario for other killers as well. It's the same as the shift+w argument, most killers have that problem.
Nemesis needs to build up his power by letting survivors sprint burst away from him when he lands it to get the ability to break pallets with it (good) and then 1 extra meter (bad) on his m2. Oni and Myers are 1 shotting everyone with insane dash speed, faster vaults, and an extended lunge. Nemesis gets punished for stacking his power while those two don't and they have a better pay off too. How in any world is Nemesis in the same tier as Oni? A weak start, inconsistent zombies providing minimal map pressure, sometimes info that you're lucky if you can use it, and an occasional zombie blocking a loop for you, and pay offs that are barley worth it. Do you think Tier 3 Nemesis is anywhere near as good as Tier 3 Myers? Or a Demon Dashing Oni?
Do I think Nemesis is as good as a Demon Dashing Oni or a Tier 3 Myers? Hell no. But do you want to know the difference between the 3? While Myers and Oni have to build up their power just like Nemesis, their power is also limited throughout the entire match and has to be earned time and time again, compared to Nemesis when once he has it, he has it the whole game and doesn't have to repeat the repetitive process of having to do this and that just to get it back. That's what makes his power weaker but more efficient because not only is it easy to earn, but it's available the entire match once obtained.
-
This update was such a dumpster-fire and I honestly don't know how they managed to screw up this bad. As if optimization wasn't bad enough, now it's making consoles overheat. Like seriously?
Anyhoo, I'm glad to see more people flocking to Friday The 13th though. It's an amazing game with such a small playerbase so it's a breathe of fresh air to finally be able to get lobbies again. I look forward to seeing some of you on there, even if I don't know it's you :)

Same here, minus the Overwatch mention (never played it, I normally don't play games online). I was given a Switch Lite two years ago and went crazy buying so many titles for it - more than 150 at last count - because the system has thousands of games and usually 600 - 1000 of them are on sale at any given time. When you can get a game for $5 to $15 bucks it's so easy to just pick one up here, pick one up there. And some of them seem like incredible games. Some of them ARE incredible games. But then for one reason or another I'll only putz around with them for a short time and think "this is going to be so cool to play once I'm done with game X" and before I know it I'm so wrapped up in game X that I forget all about the other game, even though I paid for it and had every intention of playing it.
Hell, Monstrum (almost a single-player DBD, kind of) is THE game that convinced me that I wanted the Lite, because I was over the moon at the idea of a portable version of one of my favorite games ever. It was delayed and I waited like half a year before finally getting it. But by then I had so many other games for the system that I've only put a few hours into Monstrum, lol.
Same! Those damn PS Plus sales.. they make me go broke every damn time😭😭and now you have the Steam Summer Sale coming up.. oh boy.. hold my wallet..
Also just out of curiosity, do you play DBD on Switch? If so, that must be terrible. I have DBD on Switch myself and the survivor face models don't load in.. lol..
-
Nemesis definitely isn't D tier and placing him next to Trickster & Legion is just distasteful. I'd say he deserves to be B tier and with a few minor buffs, can easily by A tier given he's just a weaker version of Pyramid Head/and Plague combined.
With that being said, his kit pretty much covers most of the basics. He has chase ability (including zombies), map information (zombies & vaccines) as well as map pressure (zombies pushing you off of gens, etc). The only thing he doesn't have is map mobility. Give or take, a lot of killers lack more dynamic to their power and just have 1 aspect of it whereas Nemesis has more, just like Freddy.
You say holding shift+w is the ultimate counter to Nemesis, well I say more than half of the killer roster has the same exact problem. This isn't exclusive to Nemesis as running away from a loop completely negates Doctor, Clown, Pyramid Head, etc.
Now if we were to compare killers, I could say once survivors are infected & you're tiered up (doesn't take too long), he's better than Pyramid Head as he can both break pallets with his power and bait his attack a lot more efficiently. Doesn't this remind you of someone? It should remind you of Oni/Myers, because as you tier up/gain your power through the match, you get stronger. Gotta earn it.
But what if we were to take a look at his downfalls.. I could say Plague is way better than Nemesis since Nemesis's infection does nothing other than allow survivors to be injured; something that should've been available from the first place, compared to Plague's which either forces you to stay injured & loud the entire match or cleanse, risking a use of her Vile Purge that can hit you from far away. Not to mention, his infection gives you a Sprint Burst away, Plague's doesn't.
Main point is, Nemesis is a good killer with a power that just needs to be tweaked a little bit. Make his "infection" more threatening, his "tier 3" have more to it, and stop giving survivors a Sprint Burst away just because they get infected. If the devs go through with these 3 minor buffs, he'd be a high-tier killer. But just because he has problems from the get-go doesn't make him weak, as a lot of other killers don't have nearly the same amount of diversity in their power.
P.S. I've played a lot of matches against Nemesis and I cannot tell you how many times I've been forced off of a gen because of his zombies. Good Nemesis players also like to push survivors towards his zombies, so you best bet I got injured a few times by them. They thrive in indoor maps, but even in outdoor, they aren't as useless as you think.
-
At that point I just say [BAD WORD] it and try to get enough points to safety pip. I don't give up and I'll still be doing gens but mentally I don't want to play the match anymore.
Usually when someone DCs the killer just continues the game which is expected, but when they do decide to farm I appreciate it because then everyone atleast gets something out of the match.
Now as a killer myself, it honestly depends on how my last game went and what mood I'm in. If I just came from a game with a bully squad then I'm probably just going to kill everyone as fast as I can & maybe give last one hatch so I can just move on. If it's the opposite though, I'm more than happy to farm.
Now with that being said.. if it's obvious that they all gave up/they're all cute Dweets.. then obviously I'm going to have mercy.
-
I have all of the survivor & killer perks, minus the Resident Evil chapter. My plan was to just get everyone to lvl 50 before I prestige, and that's exactly what I did.
The only people I have P3 all perks is Kate, Laurie, and Oni. The majority of everyone else is P1.

Oh yeah, for games it's even worse. It's so easy to get games these days, I remember when I was a kid and it was a weekend treat to rent a single NES game. Now I have probably 100 games from all corners of the internet, and Switch downloads, and any number of oddball finds that I've never actually sat down and given proper time to. It's kind of a waste to be honest, I should slow down. But it's hard when I get a game like DBD and get hooked, and then tend to forget most of them. I play it like crazy then suddenly the next big hook comes along and the lesser things, which may be fantastic, stay forgotten.
An embarrassment of riches, really.
For sure. I've bought games in the past with the intention of "omg this is going to be the next best thing, I'm going to sink 100s of hours into this!!".. until when I do buy it, I play it for a few hours and end up never touching it again. It's not that it's a bad game, it's that I have other games such as DBD that are on my priority list and take up most of my day. I have yet to find a game besides Overwatch that has captured my attention as much as this game does.
To be fair though, I've been cutting down on that habit and haven't bought too many new games recently. However, I must admit I'm eyeing up the new Evil Dead game and plan to buy it day one.. reminds me of Friday The 13th & looks promising.

Lol I will, I actually will. I debate it from time to time. I'm actually pretty funny about watching movies, I really do have to be in a certain mood. It might take me years to get around to something that sounded interesting at one point, then at other times I'll just read the description of something I never heard of before, like "Don't Tell A Soul", and think "that's it, I'm gonna watch that RIGHT now".
xD I do the same thing with games so I can understand. I have such a huge backlog that I just keep saying I'm going to totally play someday.. yeah sure..

The first is the best, but the third is the most fun (that one's my favorite - while it did introduce the comedic Freddy, it also had some really interesting characters and kills, plus lots of lore for Freddy's character).
The second one is super homoerotic, which as a straight male is fine but very curious. Regardless of one's feelings on that most people forget (because it's overshadowed by the gay overtones) that Freddy comes off GREAT in that film. From his aggressive, no-nonsense body language, to his being cast almost exclusively in shadow, to his most iconic line in the series ("You are all my children now"), part 2 is actually unfairly overlooked.
I guess number 1 is the technical best, the creepiest and so forth. Number 2 keeps that vibe and Freddy is a badass in it but the gay overtones are kind of distracting (they may not be for a gay person, I can't say. It may just come across as campy). The third one, meanwhile, is in my opinion the most fun and entertaining by far if you just want to watch a good old-fashioned mix of comedy, good kills, and interesting character development. Plus Patricia Arquette and Lawrence Fishburne.
Starting with 4 the series basically jumped the shark until Wes Craven tried to right the ship with New Nightmare, a very different entry in the series, and then of course there's Freddy vs. Jason which is pretty straightforward.
Thanks man, I'll have to binge watch some movies this weekend :) I suggest you do the same!

LOL well the Oni IS terrifying, so that's something that I'll have to consider. :)
I grew up with the originals - the earliest memory I have of being scared by a movie was when I saw a couple of specific scenes in the original film and tried to con my older sister into turning it off. She wasn't falling for it, I was only about 7 and had no sway. XD So yeah, it's hard for me to distance myself from the earlier films because if nothing else they were never boring.
So what movie do you recommend I should watch out of all of the NOEM movies? The first movie, second, third? I'd like to have some old-school nostalgia.

I'm sure that a lot of the initial hate was because it wasn't Robert Englund, yes. To an extent I understand, he WAS the character, he basically made his entire career and launched a successful studio with his portrayal. He played not only Freddy but Fred Krueger, without the burn makeup. He was inseparable from the character. I'm not against recasting him, and I was intrigued when they announced the choice that they did (though I feel that it's kind of sad in a way, being that the guy's previous big movie also had him playing a child molester). I just heard from everybody that, more than anything else, the movie was just plain boring.
I can understand that. I was never really interested in the original movies & don't even remember them that well, so maybe I could rewatch them in the future to see what people are talking about.
With that being said, I demand you watch the remake! I'm not kidding, if I find out you've never watched it I'll have to bonk you with my kanabo. Who knows, maybe you'll like it. If you don't, I'll make it up to you somehow.

Probably because everyone wants to learn how to play against/and as Nemesis instead..
..opposed to anniversary where cake offerings come out to give a huge bonus to bloodpoints.
Just my 2 cents man.

I mean.. it's pretty boring.
You'll probably have more luck when anniversary comes out, since everyone will be wanting to farm for bloodpoints then, including myself.

Wow, make that two! I am legitimately not exaggerating when I say that I have not heard of anyone liking the movie at all. NO ONE. Zip. Not one person anywhere, ever. Until today. Now two in a row! I was honestly wondering if I'd go my whole life never seeing anyone defend that movie.
Now to be fair, I haven't seen it. I don't have a dog in the fight. Well technically I guess I do since I'm a big fan of much of the original Elm Street series (all but 4, 5, and 6, really), but having not seen the remake I can't judge. I actually think it's funny that the reason I didn't see it is because all my most trusted friends did and came back saying that it was the most boring thing they'd ever seen, that they hated it, that Haley was good but wasted in a movie that was otherwise completely abysmal, and that I would be completely wasting my time if I saw it. I can think for myself of course, but this was one of those situations where EVERYBODY said that the movie was utter crap.
I just kind of never bothered, and the lame F13 remake didn't do much to encourage me either. I also didn't like the more realistic approach to Freddy's burn makeup, he wound up looking like a Dr. Seuss character to me. I couldn't take him seriously. Then WB started cramming that version of Freddy into everything (the Mortal Kombat games and so forth) and I just got sick of the existence of the remake altogether. I DID appreciate the fact that they were bold enough to finally just come right out and admit that the character was a child molester, but from what I was told that was essentially the only change that was any good.
To each their own though. I despise The Blair Witch Project with a seething passion and that's one of the most profitable films ever made. I hated Birdman and it won an Oscar for best picture. Orson Welles and I come from the same town yet I thought that Citizen Kane was boring. I liked Godfather III better than Godfather II. Lol once again, to each their own. :)
To be quite honest, I don't know why so many people hated the remake. The characters were likeable, the kills were good, the atmosphere was creepy & Freddy was the star of the show as he was more sadistic than he ever was.
A lot of the time when I'd ask somebody why they didn't like it, it was because Freddy wasn't played by Robert Englund.. and I thought that was a brainless reason to hate the movie since Haley did an amazing job with his performance. People just don't like change I guess.
But yeah, I have the movie on DVD and watch it whenever I feel like it. I really think you should watch it man, even if you hate it, just so you can be able to say you've seen it. Maybe come back and tell me if you liked it or not? Either way, as you said, to each their own :)

Don't be offended by this (I mean that, you're a nice guy and I'm saying it to be honest, not to offend) but you are, LITERALLY, the first person I have ever spoken to - and I mean EVER - who has said that they enjoyed the remake. I mean until today that's the only movie I've ever known of that I could honestly say no one has ever claimed to like in my presence. You are the first. :)
That doesn't make you a bad or "wrong" person in any way. I'm just shocked that this finally happened. XD
I'll be the second! I loved the remake and prefer it over the original.

Not only community skins. I know Spirit's and Yui's rift outfits can be bought with shards, and there are probably more.
I meant worth shards only.
-
I believe they're released on the store 6-12 months after they're on the rift. If it's a community-skin then it'll most likely be worth shards, with an example being Feng's Demon Slayer.

Yeah.. went against a Huntress and the match was fun because not only was it decently long, but the Huntress was a good killer and we were efficient on gens, so it was a close game. Lots of good chases. I honestly didn't care that I lost because I had a good time.
..until she starts hitting me on hook and nodding while she let everyone else bleed out. I usually laugh my *ss off when killers BM me on hook because it looks goofy, but that was just uncalled for. Like.. really?

Someone mentioned the Binding of Kin chapter. What was wrong with that one? I wasn't here for it.
The Binding of Kin chapter was one of the worst chapters DBD has ever released imo because of how unbelievably buggy it was. When they launched the PTB, tons and tons of bugs were found which included perks not working properly, issues with totem spawns, The Twins themselves not working as intended and even after all of this, they still decided to push the update out in it's problematic state which in turn caused even more bugs to be created. It was a terrible, terrible dumpster-fire.
I remember how if you got hit with Victor on the stairs in some maps, both the survivor and Victor would be stuck under them, as well as killers playing Twins losing their power altogether when Victor bugged out.
There's probably a lot more issues I'm missing to address, but you see the point.

Hey guys behavior is not as bad as bethesda when it comes to bugs sure there were a few mistakes but its not a reoccuring theme for them
but its not a reoccurring theme for them
You have got to be kidding me. You definitely weren't here for all of the other chapters if you truly think BHVR doesn't have a reputation for this.
-
Oh wow, here I am thinking this update couldn't have gotten any worse, as if they already didn't screw up as bad as they did. How naive I am, it's BHVR we're talking about after all.

His map pressure is kind of meh. The zombies are more of a nuisance than a danger when Nemesis isn't nearby.
I agree, however, I've been pushed off gens countless times because of a zombie deciding to pester me.
-
Come on, Nemesis isn't the strongest killer but he isn't anywhere near Pig. Nemesis has chase ability as well as map information/and pressure while Pig has what.. her embarrassing ambush attack?
Nemesis is in dire need of a few buffs though, I will agree with that.
-
Yeah, I feel you. Everytime I go against a Blight I expect him to have Tinkerer because I don't remember the last time I've went against one without it.
With that being said, I've been running Spine Chill & Repressed Alliance lately to try and combat that. I know you don't want to always rely on perks but I've found this combo works pretty well.
-
This game is literally unplayable right now and I feel so bad for the people who have to currently deal with it. I just don't understand how BHVR screwed up so bad, like this is almost worse than a Binding of Kin.. if not worse?
My condolences to all of you out there. Just keep making your voices heard.
-
Not going to lie, this post made me laugh😂Never realized how ridiculous some of the names sounded lol.
Anyways, I definitely agree. You'd think they would be more creative with the names, but maybe it's because of the license(s)? Even then they name their original killers the same way so I don't even know.
I might add that 'The Pursuer' sounds cool for Nemesis though.

The LGBT flag includes heterosexual as it includes every sexuality... the heterosexual flag itself is more so used to insult the LGBT community, while actual heterosexuality is supported by nature in the LGBT flag
and "but the LGBT flag doesn't have black or white"... wanna know why? Because it's a rainbow. Rainbows don't have black or white.
Also what's the point of a flag if it represents everyone? This is meant to be LGBT month, not human month. Flags would be meaningless if they had no meaning behind them; there's a reason most countries take pride in them.
Oh don't get me wrong, I agree with everything you're saying but I figured more flags would make more people feel represented. Not trying to trash on LGBTQ month, just proposing an idea.
-
What we really need is flags to represent everyone, whether it's nationality or sexuality.
Think about it, Pansexual flags, Bisexual flags, as well as USA flags, Canada flags, etc. It's definitely not something that should be top priority but should be considered (this includes Heterosexual flags as well).

It's almost as if Nemesis infected the very game itself...
😂Thanks for making me laugh man, that was good.
-
It's pretty ridiculous. I actually really like Nemesis but the amount of bugs this chapter has brought along with his joke of an "infection" just doesn't seem worth it to me.
I never would've thought I'd see a chapter as bad as a Binding of Kin again, but here we are.

I love the game dearly, but I cannot find lobbies for the life of me.
..which is why we should encourage more people to play it! I expect to see you both in my lobbies by tonight.
On a serious note, the outcome was such a shame because not only was the game amazing, but the devs had so many plans for it in the future, as seen with the roadmap they made. It's just pitiful.
-
Definitely not necessary but I've had countless times where I've spun a killer and was able to get to another loop because of it. 95% of the time it won't work but my god does it feel rewarding for when it does.
I'd also like to point out that spinning a killer doesn't necessarily mean they're bad, but could be a console player with the over-the-top aim assist. I don't even want to mention how many times I've been spun myself..
-
His "infection" is such a joke. Not only does it give survivors a Sprint Burst away, but there's also no reason to vaccinate against it. All it does is allow Nemesis to injure you, something that should've been available from the start.
If they put some type of penalty onto it such as speed reduction for gens, totems, chests, etc then maybe it would be viable.

Low-end PCs? Bestie I spent over 1.3 grand on this PC and it still stutters at this game.
Goes to show what we're dealing with. It's ridiculous.

It didn't break the game, they shut down the servers so they could fix the bugs because everyone was complaining. It was playable before, and I know because I played multiple games (on console, where most of the problems were) and I could still play.
Cool, you could still play, doesn't mean others couldn't. Stop making excuses for these guys. We've been having optimization issues for years now and this just made it 100x worse.
They may work hard but what makes you think they shouldn't be held accountable?

I am on console, and like I said earlier, bugs suck. It's okay to be upset about them, but I have seen so many people on this forum and on Twitter harassing the developers.
They didnt screw up at all. They just can't get every single bug in testing because there isn't the same amount of people in the server as in the regular games. And even if you do consider it screwed up, they've been working on fixing them right away
There's a difference between a regular bug and something that totally breaks the game because right now a lot of people are unable to play until they fix this. Once again, nobody should be harassing the devs but you cannot tell me its excusable. You have to hold things like this accountable because if you don't it'll never get better. Look at EA as an example.
-
Tell that to all the people on console/with low end PCs who can't play the game because of the unbearable lag this update has brought, as if it wasn't bad enough.
Listen, I understand not every update and chapter is going to be perfect and I in no way support harassing the developers but you have to think, how did they screw up so bad?
-
First off, Nemesis literally just came out. People don't know how to play against him yet, not even myself.
Second, I highly doubt you're 4King every game if you're in high ranks, which I'm assuming you're not.
-
It honestly depends. I'd say red ranks is more survivor-sided because survivors are efficient on gens and know how to loop, while green ranks is killer sided because it's the exact opposite, where you'll see survivors not lasting too long in chase as well as not splitting up on gens. Killers rely on survivor mistakes after all.
With that being said, DBD is more balanced now than it has ever been. However, I still feel there is some bais when it comes to balance, as killers seem to get nerfs quicker & more often. An example could be moris, something that got nerfed to the ground a loooong time ago for ending games too early even though keys do the same thing and still haven't been nerfed. Just my 2 cents.
