It wasn't up to them at all, they obtained the license to the actual costume itself, not anything related to or about the movie series. I think it was done to save money because of massive difference of cost between getting the license for the series and just getting the rights to the costume. It's a shame it wasn't a full chapter, but I do think that they did a good job with him as a killer. As an added bonus we get to have extra cosmetics for ghostie, whereas if they got the series license they would likely have way less leg room with that. Tradeoffs ig

I'd much rather have a new map & survivor rather than skins, but that's just me. I think Ghostface was a fine chapter but definitely could've had more to it, whether it was in BHVR's control or not.

This is only related to the original, as I would never watch anymore.

All the teen survivor characters are either boring or annoying, and despite the fact that nothing happens in the first half, none of this time is effectively used to develop the characters. The final girl is one of the worst examples of that trope ever, she has nothing interesting going for her.

The first half is completely dull, and the second was almost just as bad. I don’t mind the Sawyer family at all, they were decent villains. The issue is the nonstop screaming piercing my ears, it’s literally just meant to shock.

I see. I can't remember the first movie by heart so you're probably right, although when I think of TCM I think of the 2003 remake. God that movie was good.

  • Damn.. I love the TCM series, what makes you hate it?

    Anyways, I'd probably say.. hm..

I guess Ghostface. I know BHVR wanted to make their own version but adding Sidney in would've been 100x more amazing & worth it since she's the star of the movies. I mean hell, he didn't even get his own map. Might've not been fully up to BHVR but that sucks.

Oh yeah, on top of that we also got his broken reveal mechanic that still needs to be fixed. Can't reveal him if you're staring right at him but you get revealed behind a wall if you're playing him. Definitely needs to be reworked.

How long it should last? 30 seconds? Minute? 9 seconds is long time to choose which survivor is at the bad spot and snowball effect with pop starts at the very beginning. Not op perk but powerful perk on many killers. You just think that 9 seconds is too short but you know at the very start where everyone is and can play with that. Just to say that you don't need to say "but I know where everybody is" because that's a straight lie. Best Nemesis perk and lethal on half of the killers.

I think you're missing my point here. I'm not saying 9 seconds is too little and I'm not saying people won't utilize it but what I am saying is that I don't want to have a entire perk slot wasted after those 9 seconds are up. Even if you get good early game pressure because of it, you're now playing the game with 3 perks and that could end up being less and less depending on if you have Hex perks or not.

I plan on trying it in a build that synergizes with it such as Corrupt, but as for having it in my regular build, I don't think it's worth it.

That’s fine, you can miss out on it, but you forego any right to complain about early game pressure ever

Fair enough, maybe I'll end up changing my mind, who knows.

  • You did not just compare Unbreakable & DS to Lethal Pursuer lol

It's true though. A lad just told me it would be good to synergise it with Corrupt, and I think it's a decent idea. However, it still makes it a pretty sh*t perk imo.

Sometimes they spawn opposite you, sometimes they spawn somewhere else on the map, sometimes they spawn quite close to you, sometimes you spawn near the middle and don't know where to go. Sometimes they're all spread out, sometimes there's a cluster that will give you maximum pressure. You can see who's wasting time on totems or chests and focus on the ones doing gens. Usually, they don't actually go to any predicable spot. Without Lethal Pursuer, you can and probably do miss out on the right play for maximum effect. Sure, after 30-60 seconds you might stumble across a survivor, but with this perk it's borderline instant even as an m1 killer. 5-10 seconds of travel time and you're in a chase.

Lethal Pursuer doesn't just show you where they spawn, it's 9 seconds of aura reading. That means it tells you exactly what generator every single survivor is working on, information you can use later in the game. It tells you if they're sweaty or not based on whether or not they spread out. It shows you where the survivor is that spawns/runs into the middle and hides, because from what I've learned there's always one trying to knock out a middle generator.

It sounds like such a bad perk, but it's so ######### good. I can't wait to unlock Corrupt Intervention on Nemesis and hook someone before any gens even get to pop every single trial.

You almost got me hooked onto the idea, and for that you should be a salesman. Haha.

The only gripe I have is that it is useless after those 9 seconds. Like I said, I personally feel like it would be good on mobility killers like Nurse & Blight, but other than that, it doesn't seem that good to me especially since I find survivors really easily at the start.

Although.. pairing it with Corrupt sounds like an amazing idea. I'll have to try it someday.

  • Jeez, a lot of people here don't have any compassion at all. DBD is a stressful game in itself & others can make it a whole lot worse so I can understand why some people get emotionally frustrated from it.

You're not a pussy for crying, but by crying you're letting the bullies win because their intent was to make the game less fun for you in the first place. Learn to control your emotions and use them to instead dominate the match because once you're tilted, you've now put yourself at a disadvantage as you aren't thinking as clearly as you could be. Trust me, I've been there, and playing on console sure as hell doesn't help since it can cause you to whiff hits & lose downs due to lag.

Just try to remember that you're going to win games, and you're going to lose games. Don't take it so seriously and play more for fun instead, otherwise you'll always be aggravated. Find a killer & build that suits you best and show those survivors who the real power role is!

I give you my condolences my friend :)

They don't, actually, which is something you would know if you used Lethal Pursuer.

Please inform me because every single time I play killer I always find survivors on the gen the farthest away from me.

If you're referring to survivors spawning on your sides, then I'd agree but I'm not going to take up an entire perk slot to see that.

It’s not a joke, if you don’t know how to effectively use it, it’s on you. Many killers with 1000s of hours are high on it, and will be using it.

It's definitely a joke. Sure, it can be good on killers like Nurse, Blight, whatever. But the fact that it's only good for the first 9 seconds of the game & after that it's just an empty perk slot is what makes it utterly useless unless you have a build to synergise with it.

  • Nemesis definitely isn't weak, but he isn't too strong either. I'd place him at B tier, but he could easily make it up to A tier if the devs gave him a few minor buffs.

I think he's great, he has chase ability, map information (zombies & vaccines) as well as map pressure (zombies chasing you off of gens, etc). Of course, indoor maps make the zombies stronger as well.

With that being said, I personally think he needs 3 buffs. Make his "infection" actually intimidating (ex. speed reduction for gens, totems, chests, etc), stop giving survivors a Sprint Burst away after they get infected, and make his "tier 3" have more to it.

If he ever gets this, I think he could easily be top tier because right now he's about mid-tier when compared to his former killers, Pyramid Head and Plague.

I'd also like to mention that he just came out, and over time people are going to find perks & playstyles that synergise with his power. The best thing we can do right now is take advantage of that & hope for the best.

  • I feel so bad for you guys. I played on PS4 for about 2 years and just recently got a PS5 a few months ago. My god, have I never been happier. Playing on PS4 was absolute garbage and this update made it 100x worse from what I've both heard and seen. No thank you.

  • Looking at this guys previous post history, I wouldn't give him the time of day. He seems like a troll/astoundingly entitled survivor main.

  • Hitting survivors with the "infection" feels so unrewarding because it literally does nothing except allow them to be injured; something that should've been available from the start anyways.

If they made his infection intimidating by having some type of punishment (ex. speed reduction for gens, totems, chests, etc) as well as not giving survivors a Sprint Burst away it, he'd be fine. Not to mention, his "tier 3" should have more to it as well.

Overall, he's a decent killer in need of some minor buffs.

  • Funny thing is, they're either going to get their wish & have innocent people banned = longer queue times, or they'll get banned themselves for false reports.

It's all up to BHVR.. oh joy.. let me get the popcorn..

  • Pretty sure her whole face is bugged, seriously. Who the hell said "yep that looks good".. I mean look at her.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276217#Comment_2276217

Aight. I mean, I guess the people who I've seen manage it countless times at red ranks over the last five years were figments of my imagination.

I never said it wasn't possible, I said it wasn't likely as it depended on both the survivors perks & if the killer screws up.

Main point is, if you looped the killer the entire game, you did your job well. I don't know why you don't see that, but agree to disagree.

  • You've got to be kidding me. He's definitely far from the best killer but.. the worst? I don't think so. Placing him next to Legion & Trickster (imo) is just satire.

He just came out, people are going to learn new techniques and perks that synergies with his power. He's basically a weaker Pyramid Head/Plague and with a few minor buffs, can be moved from B tier to A tier easily. Hopefully the devs see that.

His "infection" needs to actually be threatening other than it allowing him to injure, and it shouldn't give survivors a Sprint Burst. On top of that, his "tier 3" is a joke and needs more to it.

If we got all of that, he'd be top tier imo. He'll have chase power, as well as map information (vaccines & zombies). Speaking of zombies, I had to leave a gen multiple times today because they wouldn't leave me alone and kept pushing me off of it. They're also extremely good in indoor maps.

Main point is, give him time. I personally think he has the potential to become one of the best killers if he's properly taken care of by the devs.. which is probably not likely, but we can hope.

  • @FrndlyChnswSalzmn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276141#Comment_2276141

    Not if you....get this...

Break chase. Like lose the Killer and go do something else. It's a skill few survivors can manage without perks helping and most can't do it with them.

Yeah.. because a good killer doesn't just lose a survivor, especially without them having perks made for it.

That brings me back to my point, that you're referring to level 20 noobs.

If the killer wants you dead, you're most likely dead. There's no more discussion to it. Of course the killer can screw up, but that's not something to rely on.

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

Killers did get an amazing perk, lethal pursuer

Compared to the new survivor perks, Lethal Pursuer is garbage since any killer knows survivors usually spawn across the map from you anyways.

  • Nerfing Nemesis would be such a joke since he's underpowered anyways. He's a weaker Pyramid Head/Plague that not only has an "infection" that doesn't do jack squat other than allowing him to injure, but it also gives survivors a Sprint Burst away. Not to mention, his "tier 3" isn't intimidating at all.

With this being said, Nemesis is a B tier killer imo. I think he's pretty strong for what he is but definitely deserves a few minor buffs. If the devs were to nerf anything, It'd be zombies being able to camp hooks, but even that is subjective because it rarely happens/and works.

  • I think Nemesis is pretty good and I'd say I won about 6/10 matches against him. With that being said, he just came out so I imagine people will find new techniques & perks that synergies with his power.

Although I will say, he's a weaker Pyramid Head/Plague. Besides his zombies (which are great in indoor maps & pressuring off gens), the fact that his infection practically does nothing other than wow-I-can-finally-injure-you & that it gives the survivors a Sprint Burst when hit with it makes him disappointing. A few minor buffs would bring him from B tier to A tier easily imo.

Then you failed at the end. That's what I'm on about - people making excuses instead of coming to the obvious conclusion, which is that they need to get better and change their strategy.

Sorry to break it to you but you're going to get caught eventually if you're getting chased. The only exception is if the killer is a rank 20 noob or if you have a coordinated SWF at the ready to bodyblock for you to the exit gates.

  • @FrndlyChnswSalzmn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276071#Comment_2276071

If he's getting camped to death, he's not winning and therefore doing it wrong.

You could loop the killer the entire game and still get camped to death at the end. What are you on about?

  • @danielmaster87 said:

I guess you'll have to take a break then. But if you were smarter like the rest of us, you would welcome the many Nemesis matches so you can figure out how to play against him.

OP literally said he's getting tunneled/and camped for looping the killer.. I think that means he knows how to play against him.

Sounds like he's complaining more about how others and even the killer himself doesn't know how to play, which is reasonable since Nemesis just came out.

Flashlights come in chests. Get flashlights from chests, escape the trial. That's what i do with medkits anyway.

I usually use chest builds to try and fish one out since base-game RNG isn't reliable at all.

  • Uhm..

I hate to admit it, but I have a spending addiction when it comes to this game. Bloodpoints? Gotta get more flashlights for my Kate. Shards? Gotta get more bloodpoints to get more flashlights for my Kate.

At this point I'm just going to wait for anniversary to start grinding on the new characters since I've already started on a few others.

  • That means you're cleansing the totem faster than the default speed. Either you or someone around you had a perk to cause that, with examples being Leader and Spine Chill.

  • I'd imagine the strong killers would be brown & the weaker killers would be purple.

But BHVR would be openly admitting some killers are significantly weaker than others, as well as putting their own bias towards the offerings so I don't think it's going to happen.

  • Since you're on mobile I'd recommended playing Bitlife. You can be a mafia gangster named Tylenol Painrelief that has a body count of 420, what's not to like about it?

Holding a Killer in the center of your screen is BS?

Are you mad about needing to TRY to counterplay a Killer power?

    Inconsistent counterplay isn't viable counterplay.

  • I made a post about this yesterday and apparently he needs to be in the center of your screen. It's BS to me because of how inconsistent it is.

  • I cannot believe you just put Oni in the same tier as Spirit. Pitiful.

Remember that the survivor model counts as a LoS blocker and will stop the reveal. And guess what's in the center of a survivor screen? Yep. I guess someone at BHVR didn't really think that one through.

that just makes this whole thing even worse lol

If he doesnt need to be in ypur center to reveal him, this would mean he could easily be revealed even if you dont see him.

Like I said, they need to make it where it's not taking up your entire screen but also not accidental.

Maybe they could make it to where he can only be revealed from a certain distance, but with a wider range (meaning he can't be revealed if he's in the corner of your screen across the map, but if you're looking in the direction of him for a few seconds within range the game recognizes that you see him).

  • I'm honestly surprised so many people here have been having good matches with this new system in place. I've been having terrible matches, ranging from rank 19 noob killers to rank 10 Megheads. I don't even know man.

  • @Tsulan said:

Am i really the only one who had decent matches? Sure, there were some bad matches, where survivors disconnected on the first hit. But thats about it. Wasn´t as sweaty as before the test. Both sides red ranks.

I was coming to say this. When you play as killer your POV is higher up, so you have to aim your camera upwards to take that into consideration. You’ll know when it’s working because of the sound effect that starts to play when you’re revealing.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try to get into the habit of doing this. It just seemed so odd to me because I usually don't have a problem with revealing him, but today was just something else so I figured he was perhaps bugged.

  • Probably because the perk is useless if you and your team don't power all the gens. Think about it, you're handicapping yourself of 1 perk slot unless certain circumstances are met.

With that being said, I think it's a great perk and use it sometimes myself, but I can see why others wouldn't.

Not OP 😜 but yeah still freaking annoying.

Have had games where i was literally right behind him and I didn't menaged to reveal him, while other times he is very far away and suddenly I start revealing him.

His reveal mechanic is way to inconsistent to work properly.

Yep. I was just thinking.. what even is the point of looking around against him anymore? Other than getting grabbed off of a gen, if you spot him sneaking up on you there's nothing you can do about it because he'll instadown you before the game realizes you're staring 👏right👏at👏him
