In all seriousness though perhaps you're just not that good with her or she doesn't fit your playstyle. Most games at rank 1 she 3-4's either very quickly or after a 15-20 minute match. There's very few games where she doesn't get at least 1 ore more kills let alone anyone actually getting out.
She's currently the top played killer I've been facing at rank 1 and Monto has a pure evil build going that's getting copied it's so good.
I have yet to see spirit gameplay against competent SWF where she does well.
15-20 minutes, are we still talking about DBD? Every killer can win if the survivors go afk
Oh and by the way.
Quickly checked out monto on youtube and found a video "The Spirit Needs Tweaks! | Dead By Daylight DISCUSSIONS WITH MONTO" where he explains "The Spirit needs tweaks to be viable in High Ranked Play
"Good lord, @powerbats try again

Deranking by DCing is actually supported by BHVR.
The biggest fog streamer does that regularly to bully "baby killers"

Just an honest question. I own the game and all the dlc except for Spirit on PC and sometimes you just wanna be more casual.Only problem is the abysmal framerate on console.
I'd rather the game look worse and run better than look alright and run like a dump truck.
Console is more casual in general, but you will have to deal with horrible framerate (maybe improvements soon TM) and controller aim on killer.
I give it a year until the console survivors learned how to loop properly and are closer to the PC level and then the console killers will cry tears because they still have the controller aim whiel survivors dont suffer from it.

“Survivors shouldnt feel safe in front of the killer” - devs(the required disclaimer: ive got 1800hrs and been rank1 on both sides at the end of the season dozens of times)
knowing that looping is a problem, why are we nerfing bloodlust?
Bloodlust vs a skilled survivor is already nearly useless, since after looping him for long enough to get enough bloodlust to catch me, i can just drop the pallet and force em to lose bloodlust when he breaks it, then its off to the next pallet.
what seems extremely obvious to me, a survivor main, is that survivors raged and review bombed after the last patch, and the devs solution was to cave to one of the items on the survivor main checklist on the road to starting the match with the gates open. press 3 to twerk at the exit gate.
the point of bloodlust, was that the devs say the map assets need to be fixed to prevent looping, yet i see no map fixes in the notes, just a nerf that will cause even more “being safe in front of the killer.”
This is what happens when devs arrogantly assume that they know the gameplay better than the players, and make decisions based on their own rank 15ish experience. The obvious solution is to have a small group of the most experienced players (not streamers), on both sides, review your potential decisions. The near universal opinion of your veteran players, was that the last patch was the first step in the right direction in a long time... only for you to then immediately sabotage yourselves by caving to a tiny 500ish player review bomb. Well, since it worked, next time they will bomb you much harder.
We have seen that when Cote played the game as hag he did not know the gameplay better than us. It really frustrates me that people think they can develop a game without playing it for themselves in the real environment with real players. A couple hours a night for a week will show you all the problems with this game.
They build this game around the casual level. The only problems occur when people actually try hard, the game never was built for this

Are you implying that the Pig is strong?
In the hands of a master, pig is like a billy with boobs. Otherwise, she isn’t as viable from the start as other killers like nurse or Myers.
Noone, no matter how godlike he might be as pig, can deal with survivors if they are on the same skillevel and this makes her unviable at high lvl

But it's true I like to have fun in a calling with my friends while playing the game. Callouts are important but we are most of the time joking and laughing or just swearing while the killer is chasing us because we are new and bad lol
In the new report system we dont have a BHVR-whitelist anymore, the only whitelist we have now is the EAC one and it doesnt list discord/ts and that stuff.
I asked the support and they confirmed:

I specifically asked again regarding voice comms mlga etc and got this answer:

Not being on the whitelist is not the same as being on a blacklist. Claiming otherwise is misinformation at best and fear-mongering disinformation otherwise.
The whitelist is just an exception list, if the programs on there do something that might seem like a cheat then EAC won't just pounce on them and ban for it, as it's how they work and EAC decided it's not cheating. All it means that something isn't on the whitelist is that if the program in question does something EAC reacts to, it will actually act on it.
What's on the list? Mostly streaming/recording software, some manufacturer software, a single entry for post-processing software as far as I know (reshade / sweetFX) as well as Curse Voice.
Everything up to Curse Voice makes sense, as it's not unheard of to see stuff like that cause false positives with anti-cheats. Streaming and recording depends on method but it can seem like a cheat with the way they might "hook" onto a running process, and manufacturer software lets users change how the game looks or set up keyboard and mouse macros.Curse Voice? It's not your average voice chat program, it has a function where within supported games it can automate the creation of temporary voice chat rooms. Get in a lobby in League of Legends and all your teammates have the program? Bam, the program automatically puts you all into a voice chat with no input from the users.
If a program that could turn every single game of DBD into a 4man SWF on comms if everyone downloaded it today is explicitly whitelisted (I have no idea if the automation function even works for DBD to be fair), that pretty much confirms that using third party programs to communicate is not cheating in the eyes of EAC.You might ask why stuff like Discord, Skype, Teamspeak or anything else isn't on there? Because there's NO REASON for them to be there. They do not interact with the game in a way that could cause false positives, not to mention that using voice chat in multiplayer games is so accepted and expected nowadays that it'd just be redundant.
EDIT: Manufacturer software doesn't even inherently let people change how the game looks, but it can let them do stuff like monitor performance or force graphical settings that the options menu might not offer like alternative antialiasing methods and the like. SweetFX / reshade does let you change how it looks though.
There has never been a blacklist, even in the old system.
I challenge you to provide this actual "blacklist" you are talking about instead of spreading misinfformation

Theoretically you can get banned for usage of a non-allowed program even if EAC cant detect it. For example, if a streamer admits that he uses MLGA which cant be detected by EAC, thenm the devs can bann this guy.
Funny fact, but in the old system, voicecomms were actually included in the whitelist.

I really don't understand how people aren't getting the fact that when BHVR say third party software they mean something that gives an unfair advantage by modifying the game in some way.
EVERY game has a third party software EULA, and they certainly don't go into insane detail as to what is and isn't allowed and it's ridiculous to assume that just because it isn't stated as being allowed means it is then against the EULA.
Honestly you people absolutely bewilder me.
And voice comms arent an unfair advantage?
A third party program doesnt need to modify game files in order to be not acceptable, look at MLGA -

Until the devs balance SWF, you can lobbydodge them. If multiple survivor join at the same time chances are really high that they are SWF.
If enough killers start dodging SWF, then survivors will complain about that and will force the devs to adress the issue. Either they disable lobby dodging or they balance SWF, if they disable lobby dodging we will face survivors picking 4 flashlights and that stuff again which woudl lead to killers leaving the game/switching to survivor. The problem is that as long as everyone accepts the situation currently, then nothing is gonna change

I never said it never happens, but omg, you had ONE game like that yesterday? I tend to find most people inflate their problems to perpetuate their side.
Every game the de-pip squad had was a 4-man swf. If we look at it from the killers side it was probably one bad match out of hundreds.

The nerf was a good thing, as no killer should be rewarded for bad plays with a speed boost.
There are a lot of really long loops. I don’t see how wasting 45 seconds of your time to get a speed boost to close the distance of a loop is considered overly rewarding, especially since it can be lost just by cutting line of sight for a few seconds. I don’t understand how you can complain about bloodlust when it’s needed in a lot of situations
Those 45 seconds can be spent on other people in more vulnerable spots. Bloodlust isn't needed 90% of the time.
Then how is it unbalanced if they don’t even need it most of the time to kill you? It’s there in the event where it is needed, which is on those really long loops like the Coldwind Farm tree. I don’t think people should be able to loop that forever personally.
Everytime there is a jungle gym next to it (sometimes even two) you can basicalyl concede if the survivor know what they are doing.

I'll tell you. It's the bad killer.
You must not play at higher ranks where most survivors know the maps, their variations, and the specific loops inside and out. It doesn't matter if the killer is a god; there's nothing they can do against infinites.
If the killer would be a god, then it would be a nurse that would laugh about infinites.

Need to take another look at this and rebalance it. Currently it is entirely too easy to rank up as a Survivor. 1 generator, an unhook and maybe a heal, and a little chasing around and you can rank up quickly. This makes it extremely difficult when you switch Survivors and start playing as a less developed character. Not to mention how awful it is when you Prestige and have nothing.Either make each Survivor Rank separate, or do an immediate 5-10 Rank drop when you Prestige a character. It gets horribly frustrating to go from doing decent each match to getting destroyed without a chance. It's also pretty bad when you don't want to do this because it screws your team being so weak, but you have to play to derank. Disconnecting is not an option since it's against the rules no matter how little they monitor it or ban for it.
As I Prestige all my characters, it's getting worse because I cannot drop Rank at all. I get pretty crappy games (in my opinion) and still safety pip. I'll get a couple good games against weak Killers, or ones who have just Prestiged as well, and go up in Rank. Then I get completely destroyed and my team gets screwed because I shouldn't be in that Rank with such a fresh character. It's not fair on either side of the coin imo.
It is too easy to rank up on both sides.
You say you have problems after prestiging your survivor, but what is a killer supposed to do that relies way more on perks and addons?
The whole rank system is flawed if you ask me

Most of those are never the case. Much less if he's saying his killer is rank 5 that probably implies that the survivor isn't and from 10-20 camping for no reason other than to bait and prevent escapes is rampant.
Unless you have voice chat running with a group or your group is full of selfish people(even selfish people should save people for points), most non coordinated groups will waste so much time trying to save rather than gen rush during a camp and there's really no way to fix it.
Actually its the coordinated groups that try to save each other. I noticed that most solo-survivors dont give a damn about their mates and are more willing to let them die than a SWF would do.
Camping is especially useful against SWF, thats my own experience

Tzeentchling9 said:Indeed. I never see any Survivors just leave a half done gen. They always just camp it and tunnel it to completion. They really are just bad at the game.
Don’t be mad bro it just takes some time to get better
I leave gens all the time. Someone has to go save the loopers' asses when they can't figure out what to do when all the pallets are used up.
If you actually would do gens, then there would still be pallets left when the gates are powered

Can we get a volume control for the music in the game? The chase music when playing as killer is so loud now, that it is almost impossible to hear anything else, like players running or grunting.+1

Title.Loop, do gens, leave gates
Adepting survivor is the most easy thing in the world because you dont actually need any perks at all

If you're really going to play that way I'd prefer you AFK, yes I'd stay for a few once all the gens are done but it's usually out of morbid curiosity to see which killer it is and I've never stayed more than a few minutes or teabagged if I found them, though so far it's usually been a wraith.@DeadByFlashlight said:

Have you considered playing the game and then DCing at the end when they escape / are going to escape? I think that's the fairest way to de-rank for everyone involved. So I use addons to play normally and then DC and dont get any BP?
Seems like a really bad idea. And you have to realize that I derank in order not to get bullied, playing would defeat this purpose
You do realise that some survivors derank on purpose also?
I know, the biggest fog streamer does that for example.

Don't cry about being teabagged by survivors then. Don't be hypocrites.I will never BM a survivor playing without crutches and not BMing.
But if you dont wanna stick to my codex, then I dont see a reason to stick to yours

Orion said:This was in the base game and Survivors used to needlessly stick around to farm points. I don't want it back.
Why not? If survivors stick around doesn't that increase your chances of getting a 4k?
No, its just holding you hostage basically because there is no concede button.
With all the free escapes survivors have, BT, DS and all that suff, even if you get a hook, that doesnt mean that you can camp him to death which is quite ridiculous -
Freddy #1, interesting.
I am curious about the situation after the freddy rework

Instead of toxicity inducing Teabagging, why can't I point finger guns at the killer in DBD yet?Taunts are a great way to make money BHVR

You can point at the killer already

@Peasant Of course, but if he refuses to play killer normally, he should just stop playing killer altogether.Tell that jendenise then too.
The devs support the idea of deranking, so I see no problem with the process of derankign. And note that jendenise even deranks by Dcing
