I’ve been maining Artist since I returned to DBD from my 2-month break and I really enjoy her. I used to play her a lot when she came out but then got bored of her after some time. I really feel like it’s going to Yui as a lesbian. There’s nothing in her lore that teases she’s attracted to guys and she’s around a lot of other women in the lore as well. She does have a male friend as well, but he (forgot his name) is almost like a brother to her. I would love to see a second tome of her coming out as lesbian just like what they did for David. I would just like to announce that if the online player outplays you, it doesn’t mean that the killer the online player is playing needs a nerf, it just means you need to up your game a bit. I have taken a 2-month long break from the game because I needed it, but I played it last night and it felt fun again. Alright so I came up with this idea from another game, but I feel like this can put the perk in a healthy spot without completely killing it. So basically, Valorant has a character named Jett where she has a dash ability that is pretty much a get out of jail free card in a bad situation without any planning ahead and it has caused a big unbalanced. At least in my experience. Nurse and Blight are way too common in my games but I have seen only 13 Spirits since her nerf 6 months ago (yes I have counted). I don’t get it when Spirit is arguably in the same tier as they are. Also Spirit feels very fun and rewarding to play (I am not trying to say that Nurse and Blight aren’t to others, I’m just talking about Spirit). I wasn’t around when this was a thing but after seeing gameplay of it I don’t think it would be that problematic now with directional audio. After watching gameplay, I can tell exactly when she when was going to vault based off her animation so it will be fine ti bring back. I think this small little rework to Spirit’s power recovery would give her more viable map pressure while also making short bursts (the more boring play style) more punishing. Also, this could help put recovery recovery add ons on par with duration add ons so duration doesn’t also affect recovery. Senko Hanabi currently blocks windows when 4 meters within the husk for 5 seconds after Spirit exits phase-walk. Would it be OP if it did the same to pallets? I don’t think so because it’s still only 5 seconds which is fairly short. The fact this was the Iri add on on Spirit that BHVR decided to remove over Mother-Daughter Ring is baffling. I barely used Father’s Glasses but I never thought it was unfair as it still offered play from the survivor and killer (I know it was prenerf Spirit but that’s not the point). Whether you want to think it or not, Spirit is still very much an S tier killer that has a lot going for her. I do understand that she isn’t the easiest to learn for some people and that’s fine, but it appears that people use the Mother-Daughter Ring and Dried Cherry Blossom combo and come to the conclusion that Spirit is dependent on these add ons which is not true in the slightest. I’m curious about this. It seems the frequency is very hit or miss varying from each person. Personally, I’ve played against 11 of them since her last nerf which isn’t super rare but isn’t exactly common either considering I still play regularly and the nerf came out around 4 and a half months ago. So this add on is very hard to use but it is decently strong if you can make it work. I’ll explain an effective way to use the add on. If you’re playing against a survivor who is clearly knowledgeable of the game, when a very strong pallet like shack or one of those strong safe pallets on The Game is thrown, you’ll usually have to break it.
