This killer is very simple in power design. At the start of the match, the mimic can obtain the power of any other killer in the game at random chance. After a set time (let’s say like 45 seconds) the mimic changes to someone else at random. The cycle repeats throughout the whole match. Thought this would be a fun thing to do to think back to our entire history of playing this game. Everyone’s tastes change overtime so we end up shifting our characters a lot. These lists are based off how much you think you have played each character on both roles in your entire time playing DBD, not how much you like each character currently. I don’t really see many people having discussions about Carmina. I’ve loved her since she came out and she’s currently my favorite killer to play as and against, yet she is one of the more rare killers in the game. From what I’ve seen, she’s not exactly a fan favorite in the community. There are killers that are far more hated but she’s still not universally loved. I’ve been using CdG on Spirit for a while combined with katana tsuba (increases post phase duration and speed) and it’s a neat combo. Now that it’s been buffed this midchapter, it’s so much more reliable now. Thanks BHVR for this buff, it is a blast. I have been thinking about this lately, but imagine if Skull Merchant existed pre-5.3.0. It feels like a chore getting a tight 3-gen broken against her but if it is a 3v1 with 1 gen remaining, then a key could hard counter this obnoxious strategy. It is very annoying loading into a match and then the match gets cancelled because one of the randoms DC’d. I’m hoping that the new DC bots coming out soon will combat this as well but I haven’t heard anything regarding it. I was queued up with my friend and we got matched against a Legion and our teammates were Feng and Nea on The Game. The Feng and Nea were definitely queued together based off their similar names and both gave up early, leaving my duo and I in an unwinnable 2v1. Seriously, I have about had it with getting tunneled and depipping solely because of a choice the killer made. This pipping system is massively flawed for survivors and there needs to be something done like removing depipping altogether (unless a survivor DCs) or improving the ways the emblems work. So this is something I have witnessed quite a few times when I play Artist. Sometimes swarmed survivors will vault a window or pallet mistakenly. I’m guessing that controller players suffer from this considering repelling and vaulting is the same keybind, so when they try to repel they end up vaulting instead. In terms of killers to play, Carmina Mora has flip flopped with Spirit as my top 2 favorites for a long time. I love Artist’s ability and she has potential for some of the most satisfying plays, like going for long range double hits, shotgun crows, and even hitting two survivors at once with the Severed Hands add on. I am not even joking, trying to get her adept and be done with this torture but good god this killer actually almost caused me to fall asleep on my keyboard. So I have advice for anyone that is struggling to sleep at night: just log on to DBD and play Skull Merchant (Dull Merchant is more fitting), you'll fall asleep in no time. It felt great honestly, I truly forgot how enjoyable she was. I haven’t played a whole lot of DBD in general (90% of the time played survivor the times when I did and the other 10% killer when I had a daily). I mainly mean low S tier, while Nurse and Blight are high S tier. Spirit without add ons is still the third best killer in the game and does deserve to be a tier above everyone else but a tier below Nurse and Blight. Short bursting is still effective at a lot of loops and her mobility isn’t super strong basekit but the movement speed in phase gives her a lot of lethality. I’m sorry to say it to campers out there, but the perk is very healthy for the game. It should be a basekit mechanic but it’s whatever, the devs for some reason love balancing things around perks. But to anyone that regularly camps at 4-5 gens, did you not expect this to come at some point? You ignore the fact Mother-Daughter Ring + Yakuyoke Amulet is still in the game and you added Dried Cherry Blossom on top of that but remove Father’s Glasses? You still didn’t give an explanation on why, you just did it for no reason it seems. Spirit still has a few add ons that need a change/removal and Father’s Glasses absolutely wasn’t one of them. I don’t struggle against the perk as much but I get why the perk was the main reason didn’t want to play Spirit. It’s not unbeatable but it wasn’t necessarily fair a lot of the time (although the devs didn’t have to destroy the perk the way they did at all). I really hope we see Spirit more often.
