Stop playing to escape. You are a survivor, you are supposed to die often. Play to pip it's a lot more enjoyable. Follow the "rule of 1", 1 gen solo, 1 heal solo, 1 save, 1 minute of chase. You will pip every time. If you escape it's like a bonus.

Well during phase walk everything seems fine. It's the post-phase-walk-state where things mess up bad for me. I doubt it was intended, it's pretty game breaking. You didn't notice how blinding it was during the phase? It's much, much harder to see now, everything is hella white.
No things looked like they normally do as far as I could tell. Maybe that's something with your graphics card? I'm on Xbox so I don't get those sorts of issues.

Yes. I just had a game as Spirit and the lack of sounds REALLY hurt. I even had Stridor and it was hard to hear injured survivors. This needs a fix.Spirit definitely got hit the hardest by these changes, shes going on the back burner until this gets fixed for sure. Might try to abuse some Myers since apparently survivors cant hear breathing/footsteps nearly as clearly anymore.
Yea I've had Myers and Pig sneak up on me WAY more in the last few days than almost anytime ever. I am a very alert survivor, even as a Wraith it is difficult to get the drop on me. One day, 3 different Pigs managed to ALMOST grab me off a gen in a spot where I had pretty good visibility, all because I couldn't hear her breath as well. Only knew she was coming because I heard the SNIKT of her blade coming out.

I waited to post here until after I played some Spirit games. Dude it's awful. The frames drop so hard coming out of phase walk. I would mash RT coming out of phase walk and it would take like a second to register the swing, by then they already juked it. The sound being messed up also really hurts. I feel like I won't be able to play Spirit until they fix this stuff, it's bad. On Xbox One X.
-
I can attest to #1. I notice this every time I play KYF. Huntress is borderline unplayable with the amount of frame drops/lag when throwing a hatchet. Freddy is also very strange in KYF, the sound and VFX of using your power is different and very bugged.

Xbox One X. Washed out. Gritty. Same thing. I didn't have a lot of trouble telling they were asleep or not but then again I wasn't really paying attention to that. I was more focused on how well I could see them when they were awake and it seems better than before. But again it could just be the map.
-
Okay just finish my game. 4k BTW, but a David quit when I caught him the second time so IDK how the game would have been otherwise. Anyway, it was on Preschool. I honestly felt like it was easier to see survivors. Sorry. I had a P3 Claud too and I could see her in the distance (though I admit I saw her aura first with BBQ but could still see her rather well once the aura faded). Maybe it's just the map, but DW seems a lot better. The colors are more washed out so maybe that's where you are having trouble. That definitely threw me off a little bit. But in terms of raw visibility it seems better. I'll try a few more after I finish some other dailies to see what other maps look like.

I'm about to play a Freddy game, first one since the update, but I have played against 2 since the update. I immediately noticed that DW looks WAY different than it did before. It honestly seemed like it was easier to see, but that was survivor POV. I'll come back and comment further after I play a game.
-
@Morfedel LOL I don't get why survivors get mad when a killer juggles them. Like, you want them to just eat your DS? Maybe don't go down near a hook, they are 24m apart after all. This guy sounds like the purest example of a bad survivor.
-
I have survivors use it on me almost every game, however it's completely obvious and fails 99% of the time. Usually it's because they do it right in full view of me, pretty sure it's just for the memes. I play along.
-
@se05239 @DarkGGhost The delusions are strong in these ones. You just had 3 BHVR employees come in and debunk everything you said. Obviously the only thing that would ever be good enough for you is if the entire dev team played at rank 1 which is so unreasonable it's laughable. These people have lives outside of DBD, which is their JOB. Trust me if your job was to work on a game 40+ hours a week, every week for a few years you would want to do other stuff in your spar time too, and your online rank wouldn't matter to you. Just drop it. You are wrong. End of story.
-
Probably has to do with the fact that the moment they do everyone will start to pester them about everything about the game, which will then spiral into a toxic cesspool of insults.
And just FYI, not many developers play their own games at a super high level. But that doesn't mean they don't understand it at that level, more that they just don't put in the time or effort to play that way. If they play the game they make it's going to be to have fun. I highly doubt any dev at BHVR would have fun playing with the community if people talk to them the way they do on the forums.
-
I like this idea however I'm concerned with how it may work for small TR killers, or stealth killers like Wraith and Pig. They could potentially cause you to bleed out even faster by cloaking/crouching. Maybe if it is either chase or TR, then you get the same end result without having to make a special exception for the stealth killers.

What was he mad about? I'm genuinely curious what set him off.

Go watch damnnohtml recent video, u can see how broken Legion is. He's absolutely skillles to play has nearly no counterplays in 1v1. The counterplay is genrush but every slow movement killer has this problem.
Also, can u name some streams/youtuber who r much better than tru3 and said this? Want to watch their statement aswellTo be fair, the survivors in his video did manage to get 4 gens. And the Bill gave up in 2 chases and kept getting found which hurt them. David also use Deliverance when Scott was relatively close, then ran right past him almost. His points were that 1) this is the ONLY effective way to play Legion, 2) there is no counterplay, and 3) Legion is not fun to play/play against. 1 is absolutely false, just by watching TrueTalent you can see there are other equally/more effective tactics with Legion. 2 is likely false, the killer JUST came out so obviously there will be a learning curve for survivors to figure out what to do against him. Like I said in a comment under his video, when Pig came out everyone said the counter to her would be to 99% gens. But today that is not at all the case. Survivors just finish the gen anyway then remove the trap. Just like any other human on the planet, Scott can't predict what the future will bring. And you can't reliably come up with the most effective strategy in 2 days. You just can't, IDC how good of a killer you are or how many hours you have. 2 days is NOT enough time to make that call. Just like it's not enough time to make the call that such a strategy has "no counterplay". Maybe now, but I highly doubt that to be the case in 2 months. "Oh if you're so smart Fox what's the counter play then?" Dude IDK, it's been 2 days. I don't have an answer there but I know that people WILL find a way to counter these tactics. I've been around competitive gaming long enough to know that the first tactics to show up are not actually the best tactics, and by no means are they unbeatable. Those sorts of things come later, after people dig into the game. Then we get to 3, which is just like, his opinion man. Fun is subjective, again I point to True as evidence that Legion is fun for some people. Regardless of how powerful True thinks Legion is, he says every video he has fun with him. Does that mean everyone has fun with/against him? No, it just means you can point to the extremes and say "this is the case for all".
-
Yes they do a good job and it's disappointing to see people completely ignore civility and respect towards a fellow human being. If you have issues with the game, present them in a constructive manner. Some of the things I've read people say (about this game or any other) makes me lose hope in humanity.
Truth be told, DBD is an amazing game. Yes that are problems, but this is normal for literally every game ever made. Newsflash, people aren't perfect. You can't expect them to hit it out of the park every time. Stop expecting perfection from imperfect creatures.
-
Run Dead Hard and just DH through the killer. You can also break collision by hugging the killer and dropping your item (hence why there is a chest in the basement) then just walk out. If they swing BT procs, win-win for you. If neither of those are options go back downstairs and heal, then just stay there. As long as you and the guy that saved aren't the last 2 survivors, the killer will just end up wasting time waiting for you to come up.
As long as the killer doesn't do it to hold the game hostage, it's not bannable. They are using tactics to counter your perks. Maybe think twice about rushing for a basement save if you think you might get body blocked. Survivors that report this are just salty MF scrubs.
-
No it's always been 6m. Honestly I was more surprised to see Pig's TR is 28m. I always thought it was 32m like every other "normie" killer. Apparently not.
-
It's the ego. Some people can't take a loss because they are trophy kids, always getting awards for doing jack #########. They think they are God's gift to the world. Get a 4k? Pure skill. 4 escape? Game's broken and favors survivors.
-
It's meh. I find it more useful to see if the killer has aura reading than to actually defeat aura reading. Played against a Hag that had the aura reading add-on for her traps and I only knew that because I lost a token when I hit a trap. That was way more useful than beating BBQ or Nurse's which are already easy AF to dodge.
Through KYF I discovered that Freddy will eat through this perk completely in your first chase. Funny how what might end up being a meta perk is completely useless against one of the weakest killers in the game.

if it is then thats nice but at the same time if someone hides the whole game and doesnt do anything and you die because they want to hide and not do any gens then they escape its not going to be fun
I mean, you could do that before anyway. I don't think the new locker mechanic will change that.

Idk if hthis is balanced or weak or whatever, but what if there was a perk/offering that made x survivors start the trial injured?yes its a nice idea. It's obviously very similar to the freddy addon, as which if they spawned with someone they could immediately be woken up and with this addon they could be healed.
I use black box and dying light with a mori: The Who Needs Ruin build
Use Class Photo instead. You can find the obsession just as quickly and it has use beyond the opening plays. You also don't immediately give away your build to smart survivors. Black Box Freddy = Dying Light, it's almost a given. Smart survivors will know to protect that guy and beat you.

Nurse is all about mechanical skills. Spirit is all about mind games. It's a lot easier to have high mechanical skill as that can be learned with experience. It is a lot harder to have strong mind games because that requires creativity and a deep understanding of player behavior.
Nurse is ultimately more powerful than Spirit, but Spirit is harder to master. Both are equally devastating once mastered though.
-
The thing is BW is so powerful and adds a guaranteed 60s at a time when you most need it. Plus many survs will open the door and stick around then hit BW thinking they are safe. It's one of the most underrated killer perks. I might be more likely to take Ruin out since it seems to gone in 20 seconds anyway against red ranks that know where every totem spawn location is (like myself).
-
There are ways to hide blood though, even against Bloodhound. Tall grass works best. Some maps have bloody floors you can use (Game, Cowshed). You can also backtrack, which most killers won't pick up on (especially if you don't actually have visibility on the survivor). No Mither doesn't leave blood. If someone else body blocks you for just a second or so, enough that you don't react immediately, they can get you to lose the other guy. There are ways to beat it I'm sure.
-
Wow nice. The only thing is I will have a hard time deciding which perk to take out from BBQ, Ruin, Whispers, and Blood Warden.
-
I'm honestly having a hard time deciding if this killer is weak or not. Most games I've played today have not been against rank 1 killers. I've escaped every Legion today (10 at least) and only died to him once, and that was a 4k. I won't deny he needs some buffs in a few areas, namely his power doesn't last long enough nor recharge fast enough, but he seems like he could be balanced. Considering every killer I've played today has been purple rank and/or only played a few Legion games prior, if any, I feel like most players haven't really gotten a grasp on the killer. In maybe 2 weeks after high ranks have more experience with him, with better perks and add-ons (which does matter when you factor in that everyone they play against has a full perk set and usually an item) I'd have a better idea of where Legion falls on the balance scale.

Basically. His power doesn't last long enough to actually reach the other survivor pings and hit them in time unless they are literally stacked on top of you for some odd reason. This isn't even getting into how useless his Deep Wounds is even IF he WAS able to reach the other survivors in time.
Well DW is not that bad honestly. I played against a Legion that was doing a good job of spreading the damage, and needing to Mend did slow us down quite a bit. The problem I feel is just that his power doesn't last at all. It needs to be like 3 times longer to actually use it to pressure survivors.
By the time you hit the second guy, the first ones Mend is already half way done. If he's not stupid he also isn't going to heal after that. So you didn't gain literally anything out of that transaction except giving the other 2 survivors free gen work time. I think the DW itself is still quite awful and is currently serving no purpose.
If they start Mending right away, but from my experience you can't really do that against a smart Legion. They will just come after you after Frenzy ends, and since the meter continues to tick if they interrupt you then you go down. Most of the time you have to be sure you escaped the chase before Mending. So it does add time, and even though it's not a lot and they could be done with Mending when you finish a chase, that's time not spent on a gen so win for killer still.
Really my only issue I have is the duration and recharge of his power like I say in the OP. I really think that if the power lasted 3 times longer and charged faster Legion would be much MUCH better.

we understand that, but id honestly i wouldve wished they'd be honest and be upfront and say.. "you know what we dont like this chapter and will work on it more. Sorry but it'll have to be pushed back, there's a lot of idea going on and we need to just sit and think on some things a bit longer."This isn't actually an option though. They have a schedule and deadlines, you can't just say "it's not coming". It's actually better to release it on schedule and fix it later.
As far as the godfather, Mr. Miyamoto... those comments were made in a different time, when monthly patches weren't an option. You release a game for SNES or something, yea that's it FOREVER. But in 2018 things can change. This game is evidence of that, just look at videos from 2 years ago. It's almost a completely different game.
-
I haven't had problems losing Legions. It's a matter or taking advantage of the fatigue time and using pallets when injured/DW to force him to use his power so that he can't just hit you with a normal attack. Like yea if they REALLY wanted you and they are a decent killer it's hard to lose them but that's honestly true of any killer. Put Shadowborn and Stridor on Nurse and it becomes near impossible to get away from her too, and she's way more powerful than Legion is.
-
I think the problem is that his power is basically useless against injured survivors. Maybe if Deep Wounds applied with half the bar to injured survivors it would be better. Obviously there are other problems but that would help him a lot.
-
I think it's the game. It takes me a while to find games as killer to, at any rank. Sometimes it takes a while to find a game as survivor too at red ranks. On Xbox.

Yea I just played on Shelter Woods. Holy crap is that map bright AF.

But the issue extends into not just the physical limitations of the person (which is important, I'm not trying to minimize that) but the way the game is programmed, because when there's an fps drop or latency or whatever, the player can get sacrificed even though they're still pushing the button When this happens, it's usually (but not always) when a survivor runs up and is about to start rescuing me, the fps will drop and suddenly the Entity is impaling me. It sucks not just for me but for the survivor who ran up to the hook to save me. There's no margin for error even though this is an online game and no game runs perfectly 100% of the time. This right here is the main reason it should be changed. Just today, I played maybe 8 games with a full SWF group. This happened to 2 of my group like 3 or 4 times each. Latency can screw you over. You should have to press/hold the button to die, not stay alive.
-
For everything but Nurse and Huntress, no. If you play either of them it will be more difficult, but it you can still do very well with them.
-
@SnakeSound222 I'd be fine with buffing Doc in these areas if shocks didn't STOP your vaults and instead forced a slow vault like Clown's bottles do. It's buggy AF and really lame when you jump through a window, get shocked (or just scream) and TELEPORT back to the other side without any way to mash the button to jump over. Doc gets both the shock and the hit, which is BS. He should get 1 or the other.
Stopping them from dropping pallets is fine though, only because there is never an instance where you drop the pallet, scream/get shocked and the pallet undrops itself. It either is or isn't dropped.

You want a challenge as killer but not as survivor, especially when survivor is ALREADY the less challenging side, and ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY when SWF removes 90% of whatever challenge there is in the first place.

If the events of my last post aren't holding the game hostage than neither is being the last survivor crouching around refusing to leave when both gates are open. Eventually he will leave or get caught. Good logic SMH

trap timers are paused during a chase, so you might actually have a better chance of getting it off your head if you're chased.Yes but it breaks your optimization and puts you out of position when the timer starts again. Losing 20m of distance can be enough to make your trap go off. If they need to go to a box you are near and you chase them away, even a little bit, it could kill them. I always get at least 1 trap kill when I run these add-ons, RNG be damned.

It will spike over the next week or so then go back down to normal once people see it's basically the same.
