  • If you go after someone just because of the character they pick then sorry you are just an a--hole.

  • Just doing my kegels.

And 1 and 2 and 1 and 2 and work that butt and squeeze it tight and 1 and 2...

  • She is playable on most maps. Some like Lery's and Haddonfield give really bad frame drops and it's harder there. But I can play as Nurse on Xbox and 4k pretty consistently without Ruin or BBQ.

I'm willing to bet Marth did bad because he just sucks with a controller. If you are used to m/kb for every FPS game you play, yea a controller will seem like a Rubix cube. I've been playing console shooters since the 90's. I'm used to a controller and I found Nurse's blinks to be mechanically quite easy.. The hard part is actually understanding how to read survivors and knowing where to blink more than how to blink.

I've been told my Nurse is terrifying to play against, and that my tracking is "insane". Shadowborn + Stridor = you won't get away from me.

  • So it seems like I got a lot of views but no replies. Maybe because people thought I was going to suggest an idea for a killer?

Would no one enjoy the game more if when the opponent uses higher quality gear you get more blood points from it, as a sort of compensation? It could even apply to SWF and such for killer.

  • Someone needs to realize that survivors are not a team. If someone decides to kill themselves on the hook, oh well. It sucks but you can't seriously punish people for it. I barely even think DC'ing should get you a ban. Excessive DCing should get a ban yes, but you should have the option to quit out of at least 2 games a day without getting a ban. It's really not that big of a deal.

  • Wiggling out of the killer's grasp should be a rare thing. Play killer and you will see how dumb this request really is.

  • Better give back those prestige skins and file Chapter 11.

  • I try to use one and it seemed bugged. I was mashing the button and it wouldn't drop, it took like 4 seconds before I actually used it, then another 2 to explode. Maybe it was lag, but it wasn't working for me.

  • Earlier a Meg said I tunneled her. She was my first hook, I didn't kill anyone until I got 4 BBQ stacks. I'm like "say wha????"

  • DUD

    Time to go looting.

  • They wouldn't have needed to nerf healing if they just remove Self Care from the game. That's literally the entire reason they did these changes. To nerf SC without actually nerfing SC.

I've been using Stridor for the first time and the grunts of pain are not as loud as I was hoping, but this perk combo seems interesting. I never wanted to use Whispers because it's not exact, it's just an area but using Spies with it helps, I guess you can use Strior as well but I want to try this because I never use Spies, I don't like how it works but I'll try it.

Sound is bugged to hell right now, and Stridor is really hurt. Wait until they fix sound and try it again, I guarantee you will like it more. Almost mandatory on Spirit, and helps Nurse and Huntress to snipe through corn with ease. You also can't hide your cries of pain, even with IW because Stridor trumps it, where you can hide your aura. As long as you have a good 5.1 headset, Stridor is very good yet underrated perk.

Whispers by itself is also amazing. It's not so much you use it to find survivors, more that you use it to save time. Walk up to a gen, if it's within 32m and Whispers doesn't proc they aren't there. If it does you know to move closer to the gen. Also helpful for defending totems, gates, and even the hatch. It helps you find the first survivor quickly, and helps you zone out the last survivor. Walk up to a jungle gym and if it procs they are probably there. Move around a bit and see when it goes dark, then backtrack. Eventually you will find them. Don't rely on it to find survivors, just use it to save yourself time. Also I use it on Hag to know when survivors are near. If it's dark I put traps EVERYWHERE because chances are no one can see me.

  • Pretty sure it's a bug. The sound is all messed up right now.

  • Legion is new. Once the novelty wears off it will go back to normal. I saw Spirit almost every game when she came out, now I see way less. Clown too.

I always run iron will+bond. Self care is pretty bad. You can complete 50% of a gen in the amount of time it would take to sc from mangled.

Oh #########. I never thought I'd see another one who use Bond + Iron Will AND dislikes relying on Self-Care.

    +1 I do this too.

  • @purebalance said:
You basically just stated the same thing you said before even though he told you how you're wrong. It wastes the same amount of time regardless of healing yourself or getting healed. 2 people x 16=the same 32 seconds of self care plus the time wasted finding each other. With self care you can spend the same time healing while the person that would have had to heal you is working on a generator.

Yea but you have to look at raw time versus objective time. If we are speaking objective time, yes it's the same. But in raw time, it's half. So if it's a situation where you need RAW time, it's better to let other heals you. You need raw time when someone is on a hook about to die/get to next phase, or if the killer is applying serious pressure through slugging, or the killer is moving to your position, stuff like that. When you need people healed, raw time is all that matters and therefore it's better to let someone else heal you.

And even in terms of objective time it's still kinda better to have someone else heal you. If they do a gen while you SC, that's 32s of x1 objective for a heal. If they heal you then you both do a gen, that's 16s of x2 objective time. Since it's better to be in a healthy state, the faster you get to that state the better. Let's say that the killer comes over in 20s after you start the heal. If you are doing SC, you are now being chased and still injured. If you let the other heal, yes you lose objective time but now you are healed and thus safe(r) when the killer shows up, which is ultimately a better situation.

Literally the only reason you should be SC'ing is if you desperately need objective time or you need to stay split up. It's almost always better to just let someone else heal you.

  • Literally every killer has players with bad attitudes. Lots of them. So many that I will actually list killers I face that are often the most chill: Trapper and Myers. Also Huntress but only if they are a really good Huntress. Every other killer tends to have 0 chill. These 3 can still have 0 chill, but I feel it's less often than other killers comparably.

If I had to pick the worst one though, probably Wraith. I've only met maybe 5 Wraiths ever that were chill and not campy/tunnely/salty MF'ers. Ironically probably the most chill killer I ever faced happened to be a Wraith, but it was a farming trial so it coulda been any killer really.

  • Yea I noticed I got almost no Chaser after playing some Billy. I generally play slow killers (Spirit, Huntress, Hag, Nurse) and really never play Billy. They should fix this.

  • What if in order to get a token you have to point gesture at the killer, then stay within X distance for X time to get a token. That's what a stakeout is anyway, you knowing where the killer is and keeping an eye on them. It would work against stealth killers without countering their stealth (suddenly gain a token? killer is probably nearby). Then you could also do it in a chase, and if the killer sees you pointing a lot that's the 'tell' that you have Stakeout, which let's the killer react accordingly.

  • Iron Will. It can single-handedly help you escape a chase or hide near the killer when injured. You can easily play without Self Care if you just find other survivors to heal you or bring a medkit. But it won't help in a chase, it won't help with stealth, and more often than not you just end up wasting time healing that you could have used doing other stuff.

No, one thing I've learned this past week - leave Jeff until last. I'm fed up of that fatty breaking all my damn hooks.

If possible chase others, or leave him slugged if he goes down at the edge of a map.

Breakdown has the potential to be as annoying as DS.

I've played against a bunch of Jeffs with Breakdown and it hasn't affected me that much. I feel like the only time that would matter is if you have a bunch of survivors with BD and they all get caught in the same area.

    @Dolphin9192 said:
It could be that Jeff is really loud even when he is not injured and with the audio being messed up at the moment you might just be the easiest to find.

Yea this is what I'm inclined to believe. Jeff is loud AF and doesn't blend in very well at all, making him a big target. Could also be that killers assume Jeff's won't be loaded with good perks since he just came out.

  • @Nickenzie So like if you post this idea and they put it into the game, that means they technically have to pay you because you did work. Even if you are cool with not getting paid there are legal ramifications if they take your idea, and you could always come back in a few years and change your mind, taking them to court.

Like if you have a cartoon show and you want George Clooney to guest star, if you ask him to be on your show as himself and he says no, then you get an actor to play them in the show, that's illegal and he can sue you. It's the reason you will more often see actors portraying celebrities, or guests stars come in as people OTHER than themselves, because if you don't ask then do that it's considered parody. But if you ask and do it, it's considered copyright infringement (or something similar I'm not a lawyer).

For similar reasons they can't take your idea. The probably can't even come in here to comment on it, because if it just so happens they came up with the same idea you could point to this and say "they got that from me I want compensation."

Again not wanting to ######### on your parade, but I keep seeing you make these kinds of posts knowing it won't go anywhere. Or maybe it could they could ask you to come work for them freelance or something, but don't get your hopes up on that. Your passion for the game is great, but understand that ideas are a dime a dozen, and chances are they won't take yours if only because of legal reasons.

  • @Nickenzie You did do a lot of work. But the devs aren't going to take your ideas dude. There's a whole mess of legal issues with that. Like a dev might take minor suggestion from a community member, I've seen that before, but there is no way they will take these ideas that drastically change large chunks of the game. Sorry but you are just kind of wasting your time doing this stuff over and over. Not trying to hurt your feelings but that's how it is. Changing numbers won't absolve them of the legal rights to your idea. If these ideas make it into the game then it's by pure coincidence you and them both thought of the same thing. Not that they took your idea because then they'd have to compensate you.

  • They generally pick the easiest target. Chances are you are running away from pallets/windows/loops while the others are running towards it. Or the killer chased you previously and know you are the weakling of the group. Or you are just the one closest to them when they approach. Next time you are in a group and the killer comes up to you run to a loop. They will probably not chase you.

  • IDK if you saw this thread > https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/35340/xbone-ps4-brightness-differences > but it seems that there are brightness issues on PS4. The game is super dark on Xbox. Maybe this is what's happening to you on PC?

  • Every single aura perk is easy AF to counter.

BBQ? Just do something for 4 seconds after a hook, then do something else. I dodge this perk without even trying anymore. Just the other day I baited a Spirit to the other side of the map by doing a totem while the other living survivor got hooked. Counted to 4, didn't even finish the totem, and just walked away. She came looking but I was long gone. Sadly I made a boo-boo looking for the hatch, got caught and died, but it had nothing to do with BBQ.

Nurse's? JUST DO NOT HEAL IN THE KILLERS TR!! Simple. If it's a Wraith or stealth killer, go on a hill or somewhere that you can easily see them coming from a distance. Or run IW/Adren and just play to finish gens. I don't even care about being injured anymore, I can play through the whole game sometimes like that.

Territorial? Just... don't go into the basement. This is besides the fact NO ONE runs this perk. Still I always pay attention to the steps in case I go down there for the chest and they are the 1 in a million killer using it.

Bitter Murmur? This one is admittedly harder to dodge, but it can be done. Same as BBQ, just have to know the killer has it. And at the end of the game run to one gate, count to 10, then walk to the other. Easy to dodge.

Aura reading add-ons are harder to dodge mainly because it's harder to tell a killer has them. But my general thought process is, if it's a Myers/Wraith/Pig with aura add-ons just assume they are always chasing you. Do like you would for NC and get to a position where you can see them coming from a mile away. Always be on your toes, ready to run at any moment.

Auras are powerful but not unbeatable. Only bad survivors constantly get caught by them. LEARN COUNTER PLAY!

  • So like, I've seen a crap ton of posts from you about endgame, hatch, etc. I'm not trying to ######### on your parade, you at least care about the state of the game but dude, none of these ideas will ever make it into the game. I don't even have to read this one. Devs won't take your ideas verbatim, and they probably have their own much better ideas in the works. Save yourself the trouble and stop trying to come up with the "great fix" to this stuff. We will get something eventually, just be patient.

I dont get the balanced landing one

Just look up "Rick & Morty True Level" clip and you will see what I mean.

  • I mean it is winter right now.

  • K i'll bite.

I'm just going to say that I main survivor, and with practice you can dodge all the killer's tracking perks very easily. BBQ especially is easy to dodge, I do it without even trying now. The key is to be able to understand what perks the killer is using. The sooner you figure out the killer's plan the better chance you have to survive.

Hiding is one aspect of playing survivor. You have to be able to track the killer and move around so that you don't get found. Sometimes this is easier or harder depending on the killer and their build. But it is inevitable that, against a good killer, you will be found at some point, which is where the chase comes in. You need to be able to run from the killer, if at least for as much time as possible to give others a chance to do objectives. And even against a good killer, it's not impossible to lose them in a chase. It's easier to do if you also player killer and understand how they see the game world. Mind games are a huge factor too, you need to be able to be unpredictable while predicting what the killer is going to do.

The problem is most survivors ignore learning this stuff and instead choose to blame the game for their own failures. When I play killer, and I see a survivor with BBQ, 9 times outta 10 when I go to where I saw the aura they are still in the area. They didn't even attempt to dodge me. Claudettes are the biggest culprits, they hide in a bush and just assume I'm a blind idiot that doesn't know they are there. When I'm survivor, the moment I realize the killer sees me I bolt. I don't give them time to close the gap I just go and start the chase. A lot of times that saves my butt because I'm able to reach a pallet or window loop. I'd rather assume the killer is good and start a chase by mistake, than assume they are bad and give them a free hit.

A lot of survivors also have no clue how to read a killer. They see a killer proxy camping, when they don't realize that he suspects someone is nearby and is just looking for them. Or they see a killer tunneling when in reality they just keep running into the killer, and being an easy target go down super fast. They get mad at the killer because the incorrectly assume intent. That's when people DC or kill themselves on the hook. These survivors need to play killer to understand what's actually going on. Similarly, killers need to play survivor to understand why survivors do certain things. "He body blocked me going to the hook, he is trying to be a toxic troll". No he is trying to save another survivor, because in doing so he increases his own chances of survival. Also they get BP and emblem points for it. I'll gladly take a hit if I can afford it, even if I know nothing will come of it because points. Not trying to ruin the killers game, just playing as optimally as I can. That's not to say toxic survs/killers don't exist, but I'm willing to bet the MAJORITY of these instances where the player assume toxicity is just the other guy doing what he should be doing in that situation.

Like I got called a camper/tunneler the other day, when the truth is that the guy was saved almost IMMEDIATELY after I hooked him, right in front of my face. As killer I can't just let that go, that's a big boo-boo, so yes I'm going to punish that by downing you again and putting you back on a hook. It wasn't camping or tunneling, it was your teammate making a huge mistake and me punishing it.

  • Same issue with Billy's summer event weapon. Thought I was just going crazy LOL.

  • Doesn't matter there are idiot survivors and campy/tunnely killers at all ranks.

  • Except that I know there are tons of survivors on because I was JUST playing survivor at the same rank (reset) and saw new faces every game.

  • Yellow fog and clear fog should be the only fog offerings, and it shouldn't stack. I feel like hook offerings are worthless, even more so now after they changed the way hooks spawn. Shrouds for survivor should be more rare. I agree that there should be less BP offerings, maybe keep the whites but then have letter/shell as the only yellow ones, push cake/pudding up to green. Streamers should be purple. Take out yellow mori, I never see anyone use it and it's function is lame (should be a base thing if hatch has spawned).

  • @LegitAdventurer said:
But blood warden is so situational.

You actually can't counter BW though. The only counter to it is to not open the door, which still benefits you as killer. And 99.9% of survs never expect it, they just open the door anyway, then you take away their safety net and lock them in the game for a guaranteed 60 seconds at a moment when you need it most. BW is devastating to survivors. I can't tell you how many games I've won because of it.

    https://xboxclips.com/thesuicidefox/c0eeb4fb-494f-4d1b-b3e5-7b7472ed3072

Both of these guys LINED UP TO TAKE A HIT to save the Claud. My BW proc'd on her hook, just look how Meg completely gives up. Kate panicked hard and turned into a squirrel, I had been outplaying her all game that was probably the longest chase she got from me because she was just so random with her movement from the fear I couldn't predict her as well. Then she continues to panic and runs back to the door when it's only been like 15-20 seconds.

It’s been SUPER dark for me on Xbox, especially in some buildings and the basement, like goddamn

Yea I noticed Autohaven, Coldwin, Lery's, Game are all MUCH darker. But Macmil is brighter, it's almost day time now.

  • I think the perk is just fine. If you are up against certain killers, certain perks tend to work better or worse than others. Like, Stakeout is not a bad perk if you play against a Doc with Distressing because you will always have tokens. Play against a Wraith though and you will have trouble getting them. Premonition is great counter to stealth killers, but it rather worthless against Huntress since she literally sings to you so you know where she is.

And poor Freddy already has a lot going against him. 3 meta perks are almost hard counters to him (SC, Adren, and Unbreakable). Being able to eat up your Distortion tokens is all he's got man.

  • OMG yes. It's like every other trial is the new map. I appreciate giving us more chance to play it but dear God, I'm already sick of it.

  • It's because Nea is killer and you can't co-op with killer.

  • Yea same here. I had saved up a bunch of killer dailies because I was having trouble finding games at high ranks so I played surv until the reset. Managed to get all my dailies, but then went to play again and sat in a lobby by my lonesome for at least 10 minutes with no one joining. Doesn't even make sense, prime time of day to be playing, rank reset so there should be plenty of green ranks for me to play, and on top of it all I was getting games less than an hour earlier super fast.

    WTH game
