As a killer I hit them, as a survivor I jump. It's not rocket science.
A more reasonable choice as survivor is to leave the hatch. Bait a chase or do a gen. I've had killers sit on a hatch for 3 gens. If they don't want to leave and take the chance of catching me in a chase I will just do gens and go out the door. I've also baited chases such that I was able to loop back around and jump in the hatch uncontested.

Basement should be permanent at some structures. Preschool, Thompson house (take out the awful attic hook), Ward, and Grim Pantry. We already have it on Game and Haddonfield, I don't see a problem with it on other maps that need it.

What about cosmetics getting reseted?
My huntress get everytime her Base cosmetics if I launch the game and I have to change it everytime. I'm doing this already for a week and combined with the amount of freezes and crashes its super annoying. Known? Fixable? What to do?I have been getting this too on survivors and killers. It seems to be tied to event items, because any cosmetics I run otherwise don't get reset.

BBQ is fine. It's easy to dodge/avoid especially now that lockers hide your aura.
NOED just needs a tell. Do a dull totem when a killer has any totem and get the Hex icon, but not a notification of which Hex it is (Ruin, NOED, etc.). Then you have to play through the match to get the notification of the Hex, and if nothing else came up by end game then you KNOW it will be a NOED. Makes survivors spend time to do at least 1 totem, which means that even if you don't run a Hex the game will slow down (except for SWF, but that's a different problem).
DS just needs to be limited to the obsession. People will complain "bUt I wAnT 2 UsE mAh PeRk" well then equip other obsession perks to be sure you are an obsession or take the chance you won't be picked as an obsession. The fact that these other players can use it is what makes it broken, since you have no way to know and therefore it's actually more detrimental to your game as killer than an obsession DS. You know that guy has DS and you can play around it.

Stop suggesting Kindred as a baseline ability. Kindred is very powerful actually, as it let's the group optimize when someone is hooked. We don't need that.
Solo survivor isn't that bad. Everyone complains about it but if you have a group of solo rank 1's they will do just fine. They know when they should be going for a save or doing a gen. They know how to optimize already.
We don't need to buff solo's to make them like SWF. That's backwards. We need to put some limitations on SWF to make it more like solo. When I play in an SWF group it's honestly very easy most games because we have no limits. If we want, we can all run DS/Adren/instaheal or BNP with purple fog and any map we want. We can stack all that in our favor and it's a win almost always. The only time I really lose in a group is if the killer gets a snowball early in the game, or they are really good, or we do something really stupid and get everyone killed.
As for offerings, I agree they need to clean it up. White BP offerings should give you a BP earning boost in a category (similar to Distressing), yellow should give a post trial BP reward (+100%), and green should do both (so that you can quickly farm a category AND get double BP). That would make each one actually worth something.

Just eat the DS to take the chance or sit there and wait for them to die, and move on.
Yes please, I'll have fries if you're offering.
It's not the jatch that bugs me. It's that perk. If they get the hatch by any other means then good for them but a stupid btoken crutch perk shouldn't guarentee them it.
You got 4 stacks of BBQ so you got a hook on him. It's a smart play on his part to save his DS. Grow a pair and pick him up if you want to kill him. Then stop bitching about the game.

A competent killer will never fall for it though, I would since I realy don't care about remembering what my survivors think.
I'm at rank 1 and I've made 2 killers quit already just tonight. I feel like "Competent" killers shouldn't chase the same person for 5 gens and 2 gates. But there they are, at rank 1.
There's a lot of baby killers at rank 1 who shouldn't be there. You're not facing 'Competent killers' you're facing people who don't deserve to be there. Its why I stay at rank 6-8 as survivor and rank 5-7 as killer.
I rarely play against a rank 1 killer that is incompetent. There have been a few more this patch because Legion is easy to get boosted, but most rank 1/2 killers on Xbox are really good. And most rank 1 survivors are good too. Purple ranked players aren't usually very good, they just run all the OP stuff with SWF all the time. When I face 4 purple ranks they sweat like crazy but suck at doing gens or getting chased. When I face 4 rank 1 survs, they just play super optimally and don't always run the best stuff. And purple rank killers tend to camp or tunnel a lot, or use mori's every game, or generally just play really sweaty and lame, like they haven't gotten a single kill in 10 games. Red rank killers will body you and play fair the whole time, like they don't care because they know they will probably kill you.
Red rank survivors/killers are more challenging. Purple rank survivors/killers are more annoying.
-
Practice. That's all Nurse is, practice. Play her without add-ons until you learn how blink works. The range. The timing. The speed. Try to pick an exact spot and blink to it. Once you can do that, you just need good prediction skills so that you can land blinks without seeing the survivor.
Also you should use Shadowborn. It's great for her and makes it easy to track during fatigue. It's the only perk she really needs.

Then you look around to see if the hatch is close. Then pick her up and stand in the corner making sure you can see what direction she goes. Chase her down and hit her. Or she gets out. So what, I bet you double pipped. To bad you censored the number of gens, because I bet it says 3 and I've been over this, you can just give her hatch and still double pip.
Put a box to cover the names but was sloppy and did it too big not thinking.
It was 1 gen actually because as I said I 2 hooked everyone playing nice and let them go even when I could have had a kill but they threw it back in my face by being toxic. Hence why I denied them the hatch.
I bet you still pipped. You can't kill 3 with 1 gen left and NOT pip, especially if you 2 hook everyone that should be at least 2 golds and 2 silvers which is a pip.

No. If you use XIM I know Xbox doesn't ban for that. Also you don't get a real mouse with XIM, it makes the mouse simulate the stick. You're not getting a true 1:1.
Also m/kb support is coming very soon on Xbox. I think in the spring update when the official Xbox m/kb sets made by Razor come out.

I made a new list with split values if anyone wants to take a look:
Dwight - Objective
Meg - Boldness
Claudette - Altruism
Jake - Survival
Nea - Boldness/Altruism (75/25)
Ace - Survival/Objective (75/25)
Feng - Objective/Boldness (75/25)
Laurie - Survival/Boldness (50/50)
David - Boldness/Altruism (50/50)
Quentin - Altruism/Objective (50/50)
Tapp - Objective/Survival (75/25)
Kate - Boldness/Survival (75/25)
Adam - Altruism/Survival (50/50)
Jeff - Altruism/Survival (75/25)
Bill - Survival/Altruism (75/25)Note that Adam, Jeff, and Bill while all being the same 2 categories would offer different values for each. If you want to do both, pick Adam. If you are more interested in saves, do Jeff. If you are more interested in survival, pick Bill.
-
I like this idea, but are we talking BP earning rate or BP post trial bonus? If it's the former the BP boost should be high like 100% so that you just earn BP in that category crazy fast/easy. If it's the latter then BP bonus should be something low like +25%.
@Sandt21 said:
David would most definitely be boldnessWhy can't he be both? If the base 4 characters are one of each category, then David could be 50/50 since he could kinda be both. Nea could be 75/25 boldness and altruism (bc Streetwise). Feng would be 75/25 objective and boldness (bc Lithe). That sort of thing. Then each character is a bit unique in the way they give BP. It would be a lot more fun that way, IMO.

Monto is a solid killer, but he does so well usually because he has no problem playing dirty. He will do some nasty things to survivors and not care. I think True is a better killer, but True is way less likely to play dirty or use overpowered builds.

on the other hand, these perks get screwed for: every oneshot killer and when you target an injured person.like, the whole system is so unnecessary, id rather have it removed.
Lullaby should give a notification until the killers gets 5 tokens. If you are a good survivor you would see it coming before that, and it would mess with survivors more because they wouldn't know right away. Might take 3 hooks for them to notice and by then you got value outta the hex.

Nurse is definitely not top tier on console. Every Nurse I play against (every 50th game, no joke) she either gets 2 or DCs, I can assume you, I’ve played this game for awhile now and only fought against 2 good Nurses. She is top tier, the problem is that, on Xbox at least, there are literally like 3 god tier Nurse's, and then maybe 4 more good ones (1 of them probably being me). It's not often you get a Nurse that's knows what they are doing but it can still happen.
There's only 1 top tier Nurse and that's a person at rank 1 who is really skilled on Xbox. And there's only like 5 GOOD Nurses, me being one of them.
I won't post names, but there are 3 dudes that play killer that are the best Nurse's on the platform. 2 of them I haven't seen in a long time, and 1 I see very infrequently last few months. One of my good friends is also a very very good Nurse, he started on PC and was the one to convince me to get the game on Xbox. But he has a kid and is in med school now and stuff so he hasn't been on Xbox in forever.
-
Yea you can't play Hag like Trapper. It's better to set up a web of traps than to just put them at loops and stuff. Like yea you can do that at the strong loops like shack and cow tree just to discourage survs from going there, like a Trapper would, but you get more benefit if you have traps just along the path from one loop to the next, since there are less options at those points you get free hits a lot. And it's scary. I run Whispers and if the perk is dark I take 5-10 steps and place a trap. Place traps in doorways or in the middle of corn, or on top of hills. Anywhere. You catch them with their pants down and it's harder for them to break your setups.

@MegChicken said:
On xbox, there is 3 good Nurses, but she is not ideal to play as. If you ask anyone In Xbox, they’ll put Nurse below A tier. Before Spirit, I played her with trash perks and did either awful or 4K, Nurse is a wild card. She isn’t top tier, but she isn’t unplayable.
Yea because most Nurse's suck. If you get one of those 3 Nurse's trust me you won't get out. I've escape one dude several times (as a bunch of killers) only because halfway through the game I figured out it was him and started to play way more cautious. I've escaped his Nurse maybe twice, and both were hatch games that we struggled to do just 2 gens. No Ruin either.
A tier list doesn't rank characters by popularity, or how many players are good with them, or how good you are as an individual with them. Tier lists are rankings of characters based on known POTENTIAL. Nurse on console is potentially as powerful as on PC. You could say it's easier to juke a blink on console because of low FPS and slow killer turning, but that's really a minor thing at the end of the day, and it effects all killers albeit not equally. But even then, Nurse is very powerful when played to her full potential. Like she can teleport through walls. That's kind of all you need in this game to be super powerful.
-
Billy is a lot of fun for me because I've been playing slow killers. But yea he's very one dimensional. Spirit is IMO the most fun killer to play because mind games can literally be anything. And it's always different based on the survivor and the situation. Hag is a lot of fun too because she is so good at jump scares if you put traps in funny places.
-
Fragrant Tuft of Hair is WAY more powerful. Borderline overpowered.
-
He's more interested in getting spanked by the killer. I think it's like a BDSM thing.

@MrDardon said:
Most reasons why they add more slow Killers are because their power is stronger, better and more fun to play as and against. Look at Freddy, Wraith or Trapper or even Pig. They are fast but their power either suck or aren't that fun. Slow Killers usually manage to get to Top Tier cuz their skill cap is higher, so when you learn them you become godlike with them. Billy is the only 115 exception. His power is strong and his speed is strong and his skill cap isn't that high. That's why most noobs play Billy because he is pretty easy and strong. But most of the time they take the 115 % because they suck at chainsawing.Trapper is way fun if you have 10th dimensional mind game traps. I put down really random traps sometimes and get people almost every game with it. Pig is fun too she is like half stealth half gen pressure. Freddy is fun but he can be bullied very easily.
I've been playing Trapper/Billy, and for Billy I really have only been using chainsaw to get around or break pallets. Most of the time I just smack people. I'll save chainsaws for later when they will be expecting me to just hit them and they are already on second or third hook, it's scary.
@MrDardon said:
Also, slow Killers are played at lot more different and that's why people say slow Killers suck.Slow killers don't suck though. Nurse is the best killer in the game. Spirit and Hag and tied for third best after Billy. Huntress is 4th after them. Nurse/Spirit/Huntress are probably the best chasers in the game. Hag has best map pressure out of any killer. The thing is that you have to know what you are doing. Nurse and Huntress require a lot of mechanical skill. Spirit requires you to mind game and predict like a prophet. Hag requires you to have a plan and predict survivors too. If you suck at any of these things, which is pretty easy to do, you will suck with these killers.
With Billy I literally can just follow you and beat you at loops super fast if you aren't optimal. And if you are out in the open or a bad spot I get a free chainsaw. And I can hook someone, look at BBQ and just fly across the map super fast and easy.
-
We're Gonna Live Forever, Borrowed Time, Empathy, and your choice of an exhaustion perk (Balanced Landing for me). Use Empathy to get within BBQ range when someone goes down, then rush the save with BT.

Survivors can’t do anything.Yea Bloody Coil is really powerful. More than Iri Stone IMO. You really don't need all the extra perks, just have Ruin and Blood Coil. If you get a totem spot that is in a little nook, put a trap so that you have to disarm if you want to do the totem. Then just react to the disarm and go to the totem. You can also put them at the top of the steps on places like Myers house on Haddonfield and it becomes impossible to go into those buildings, breaking all those loops with just 1 trap. BC makes Trapper very scary.

I like the basis of the idea being based on how many hooks you get on the obsession. This would prevent you from mori rushing them, and should prevent camping since they would want you to get saved.
The rest of the idea wouldn't work. As pointed out, killers just wouldn't use it. I use DL on my Freddy but I would never use this version of the perk. Killing the obsession is bad, when it should be good. Making the killer take their time killing is good, but they should still be seeking to kill them at some point. If this was DL you wouldn't want to kill the obsession until last, which we already have 2 obsession perks that work that way.

Are you special? You turn much slower then on PC, it's why I don't even play Nurse on console because if my blink is accurate, all they gotta do is run behind me and I won't be able to smack them thanks to slower turning and as survivor you turn slower then on PC, definitely I know this because it's ridiculously hard to loop a structure without touching itt. I've literally played on both Consoles and PC I feel the differences. I don't know what YOU are on about. I know your trolling now that u say a Billy is hard to beat on console lol. I bully Billy on console no matter how good they are. I agree with Nurse being hard though.....you said
@Poweas said:
On console, Myers is slightly stronger because survivors can not turn around walls faster like they can on PC.Implying that survivors can't turn.
Now you're saying you meant killer. Yes, killer turns slow. And yes, survivor CAMERA turns slower. But you have an analog stick. You can turn on a dime as survivor. If anything console hurts the MYERS because he can't turn as fast as on PC.
Survivor can loop as effectively as someone on PC. Some PC survivors even use controllers because they KNOW there is no real advantage. Killer yes, I never said it wasn't a difference for killer. But for survivor there is no difference.
And if you are bullying Billy "no matter how good they are" they must not be very good. A good Billy on console will destroy you. Chainsaw is easier with a stick. And yea, I can bully a Billy too... if they suck. A good Billy with Ruin and BBQ is actually a solid challenge.
-
PS. I would also recommend you invest in an external HDD to fit all your games. I have a gen 1 X so it's only 500GB? Maybe 1TB? Not sure but it's small. I only keep a few tiny games on there (DOOM 1 and 2, some party games). I got myself a 4TB external WD Easystore and keep all my games there. The external drives actually read faster and are more stable than the internal ones. Though I will admit I did not try playing DBD from the internal, that could improve performance too but I doubt it since it reads slower.
-
LOL I mean you will notice it. I can't give you numbers I have no idea. Every game runs better. DBD still has issues though. I still get frame rate issues on some maps as killer. Also as survivor when the killer has a lot of perks that trigger notifications. But where most killer games were really choppy on a normal Xbox, it only happens on maps like Haddonfield and Lery's, or when there is purple fog. Generally speaking the game plays better.
The X is worth it IMO. Games like Gears of War 4 which were built to work on the platform specifically look and play AMAZING. You will see an improvement in every game you play, including DBD, just don't expect it to fix all the problems. It's pretty clear the game itself has performance issues. Also you will still get crashing, but again it's the game. I've had Gears crash maybe a handful of times on the X (had it since it came out) and that's always in a very extreme circumstance (usually a server crash that boots me to a menu, or one time in Horde Juvies when there were like a million enemies and explosions going off and maybe someone quit IDK).
My main reason to get the X was because I had a gen 1 Xbox One and the power brick was failing, and the fans were failing. When my HDD started to fail I had to get a new one, and the X was out so I decided to future proof myself for an extra $200. It's way quiet and runs cool, and doesn't have a brick so it's as travel friendly as an S.
-
Maybe I shouldn't have slept in today...
Merry Christmas

Better? Yes.
Good? Not really.I noticed a definite improvement to the game when I upgraded but there are still frame rate issues and crashing.

Well depends, if console or pc. On pc nurse is 1, on console she's on par with Pig.
Billy is solid top on both. Spirit is below billy on pc, she's below Legion on Console. Myers is below spirit on PC above Legion on Console. Hag is above Legion on both and arguably below/equal Myers. Huntress and Legion are below Myers/Hag. Clown is below Huntress and Legion. Leatherface, Trapper, Wraith are below Clown. Freddy is on par with Legion on console but at the bottom on pc. Doc and Pig are at same level for both.Spirit is top tier on console too. She's definitely not below Legion.
Nurse is also still top tier on console, it's just harder to use her than on PC so not many players ever bother to learn her. I spent the time learning her and I find her very VERY powerful. The catch is that sometimes a game can have bad frame rate (happens for every killer actually) which especially hurts Nurse. But if you know what you are doing and the game isn't borked you will still dominate like on PC.
You guys are confusing frequency with strength. The tier list is consistent across platforms, but because killers like Nurse/Huntress suffer more from frame rate and are harder to learn, there are less GOOD players for these killers. Therefore all the good players gravitate towards killers that are easier to use. Freddy, Wraith, Trapper, Billy. Spirit is hard to use but not in the same way as Nurse/Huntress. They are mechanically difficult, where Spirit is tactically difficult. If you know how to mind game and track survivors, Spirit is as easy as other easy killers.
Like I see a ton of Myers on Xbox. But it's not because he is really good, more than there are a lot of Halloween fans that play him. And he's fun to play. He's no more viable against top tier survivors than he is on PC. Trust, I'm one of those survivors and Myers isn't that great. It's way harder to beat a good Nurse/Spirit/Huntress/Billy than Myers, but hardly anyone good plays Nurse/Huntress.
On console, Myers is slightly stronger because survivors can not turn around walls faster like they can on PC. It is literally the smallest of differences but It's enough to make him top tier on Console. Also It's also harder to beat a good Hag ^-^
You turn at the same speed IDK what you are on about. Most survivors don't hug the wall as well on console, but you definitely can I do it all the time. I play against Myers all the time and the only time I ever need to worry about him is if he has infinite tier 3. Outside of that he's comparably easier to beat than Billy or an actual Nurse player.
And I agree it can be hard to beat a good Hag, but it's harder to beat a good Spirit. I play both and Hag can be bullied very easy if she loses momentum. Spirit can recover from a momentum shift.

Pointless addition: Without Urban Evasion I basically want to kill myself because of how slow the crouch speed is.
Balanced I agree.
If you understand line of sight then Urban becomes a wasted slot. Learn to walk and use something else. The only time I'll ever sorta wish I had Urban is against Hag. It's honestly a crutch for some players, and they never learn how to actually avoid the killer.
Lol. Rude much?
I know how to walk, and I do it quite often in game. However, I like Urban and if its a wasted slot then I honestly don't care. I like it, and it's my choice if I use it or not.

Not saying to insult you. I'm just making a statement that you do the same thing with walking as you can with UE. Only in a few instances is UE of value, one being against Hag. It's good against slow killers, but if you are injured you might as well not even have it. If you want to play stealthy Iron Will is really all you need.
