  • 50% of the people he murdered for faces were innocent women.

He is sexist, oppressive, and the product of the toxic masculinity.

  • To be honest, I'm almost completely satisfied with Remember Me as it is.

I think the main points here are that cleansing it prevents tokens from adding up, but in exchange, you can have limitless tokens... I like the unlimited tokens (because that's kinda funny), but I don't like that it's a hex. It adds a glaring weakness to Remember Me: if it's cleansed early, you lose a perk.

I like the idea of a hex perk that prolongs the endgame, but incentivizes keeping the obsession alive. I came up with an alternative...

Hex: Endless Nightmare: For every generator the Obsession survives, gain 1 token. When the exit gates are powered (or when the hatch is open), this Hex activates (like NOED) and blocks the switch boxes and hatch with the Entity's vines. The vines prompt 2 considerably difficult skill checks per token, at a rate of 1 skill check every two seconds (like BNP).

    • Failing a skill check prevents progress for 10 seconds and alerts the killer.
    • Cleansing the totem ends the effect.

Since we don't have anything for the hatch either..

Every asymmetric game seems to have the weaker side be stronger than the side that is supposed to be powerful. Unless you make the killer completely braindead godlike like in F13 but even then the survivors can still troll jason. Asymmetrics are always a lost cause for me.

Consider the very real fact that survivors die and get exponentially weaker as the game goes on and you'll see why it needs to be that way.

  • Usable for who? Literally one killer?

Hex:Third Seal: In addition to current effects, allies do not see the aura of the survivor who have been cursed and FoV is reduced.

Yeah sure, let's break all the queues and have people just lobby dodge till they get the same room with each other.

The number of people actually lobby dodging before SWF and the ones who were actually successful at it were very few.

That's not the point. All of the players that want to play with friends would either lobby hop or just quit because of long queues, neither of which are desirable. Considering that at least 70% of our lobbies contain SWF, we don't need to butcher what we have with switcheroos/uninstallers.

We have a surplus of killer players and a lack of solo survivors. We do not need fewer survivors, including SWF. We do not need to nerf players that keep the game alive just to appease whiny killers that lobby dodge every hard match up anyway.

Playing with friends is more advantageous and fun, while the solo survivor experience is unbearable, unrewarding, and has not been significantly improved. This is the real problem.

the only reason I want the killers to be able to hear it is for situations where a survivor accidentally gives up part of their plan because they were too stupid to stop talking when the heartbeat kicks in.

killer comes up on two working on the gens and one says something like, "yea, terry is off looking for the hex totem while we finish this up"
or the killer loses his chase and starts to head back to a gen when he hears a survivor talking nearby, its immersion, the survivor should know to stay quiet when the killer is nearby.

is it vastly significant? no, but its a little detail to the game that I would like.

I understand. I think speaking with the killer nearby should garner some harsh penalties too. But I imagine that toxic players would just use it to taunt/flame killers on top of what they do now.

    * Excuse me, you are right. You tunnel the first person. What a big mistake, I am so sorry.
    * You can mindgame survivor. You can't mindgame good survivor. And no, they can't loop you for 2 minutes, if you play your role good. And if you are more the "I dont like to think"-Person, than play Nurse.
    * Urgh. "Maybe play some not-swf-Survivor matches and come down to earth. Thanks." You as survivor without friends.

I doesnt they i tunnel the first person.

    I said when i tunnel 1 time.

    That mean i hook someone.

    Someone unhook him.

I go back to the hook and found him.

I hit him once and then he dc.

And survivor can loop you for 2 min, when survivor dont make mistakes they can loop you rly hard on the right spots.

Example: 2 windows are rly closed to each other and the killer doesnt have bamboozle.

And why should i play survivor with friends when i want play killer?

And i just write frustrating things for killer and survivor.

And why this game is frustrating.

    FOR BOTH SIDES.

If a survivor loops you for 2 WHOLE minutes, you get bloodlust. End the chase.

You should play as survivor, without friends, one, to see the other side and calm down from stressful killer games is what he meant.

You know that bloodlust is lost after a pallet?

You know that you can mind game at a pallet? and last time i checked majority of the pallets are not safe since the pallet reworks.

I've mentioned this idea before and it always seems to get shot down, but I still don't fully understand why.

if they had an in-game comms system that operated by radius(only able to speak to/hear those close to you) it would fix a lot of the issue.

players couldn't convey information from across the map as easily, they would have to shut up when the killer is nearby (realistic), and it would open comms up for non-swf players as well.

yes there would be toxicity issues, but that's what a mute/report function would be used for.
People claim it'd be too much like F13. Which I disagree with since they're two completely different things, with the whole beating the killer to a pulp aspect...
Voice comms will certainly improve the solo survivor experience. I'd play solo survivor more if I could figure out what SWFs/solo survivors were thinking of doing.
I just don't think killers should hear what survivors are saying. It *might* get overly toxic then.

  • The lagswitcher who says ggez and says it's b/c someone used DS.
  • Ruin is the only hex that doesn't require any work or input from the killer, aside from NOED. It's already as good as it should be.
  • Pipping is evidently too easy for both sides.

Lol, if you practice it right... Practicing something wrong across time just makes you better at being bad.

"They removed Lighthouse Totems a few patches ago FYI.Now they're hidden within the base of the rock, and are actually difficult to cleanse because you need to be at the right elevation to get the prompt."

I still know it's there, that's not gonna change until they make more hills or make new types of hills with multiple totem spots. In every game, you can guarantee that a totem will be on a hill just like a chest is always in the basement, it's a static location.

"And they're still buffing weak killers. Hence why Hag isn't absolute trash anymore, why the Spirit has been buffed like 50 times, and why they've been working to buff Freddy. They get the message, clearly."

I never said they didn't get the message, the developers are doing a great job at making killers more viable. I was saying that a few more killers could use some love such as Trapper, Leather Face, Doctor, and Freddy.

"Honestly, there's not much to complain about in terms of balance anymore. These stats have been telling us the same thing since the stats they released in the Pig chapter, but salty people don't really care to see the reality of it."

I wouldn't say these stats are the same since the Saw DLC had pallet vacuum, no healing nerf, scratch marks were screwed up, and there was perks on both sides that was exactly like the old Déjà vu. Currently, Dead by Daylight is starting to become a asymmetrical horror game, I have no doubts that the developers will fail us again.

Right, but that kills the glaring weakness of the lighthouse totems. It is basically stronger than most totems now. We can't even call them lighthouse totems anymore.

    Eventually.

Yeah, there are probably fewer survivals now with all of the survivor nerfs. Um, I highly doubt it. I don't see any reason to be cynical when they have had nearly a year of progress.

I just find it sad that no one had bothered to question your claim, just as no one questioned the statistic handed to us by the developers.

You're listening to the wrong part.

at 26:02 he says "and that's within the last 17 days, before the rank reset".

I agree with these stats but we still have some problems with killers such as...

    -Lighthouse Totems
    -Generator Rush
    -Weak Killers

Once these things get fixed, I think we will have a pretty balanced game overall.

They removed Lighthouse Totems a few patches ago FYI.

Now they're hidden within the base of the rock, and are actually difficult to cleanse because you need to be at the right elevation to get the prompt.

And they're still buffing weak killers. Hence why Hag isn't absolute trash anymore, why the Spirit has been buffed like 50 times, and why they've been working to buff Freddy. They get the message, clearly.

Gen rush is realistically the ONLY problem in the game right now that is pervasive, but even then, they've already tested secondary objectives with the Halloween event, so that won't be a problem for long. Technically, healing speeds and sloppy butcher were the best thing to happen to address gen rush, depending on the Killer's playstyle.

Honestly, there's not much to complain about in terms of balance anymore. These stats have been telling us the same thing since the stats they released in the Pig chapter, but salty people don't really care to see the reality of it.

    They were also SWF.

I get games pretty quickly, but I've seen anything from a stack of 1-2's to what you see above.

Rank is 100% meaningless in this game.

I can tell and have no problem with it, but there should be enough Rank 5-10 killers that should be facing that team, not a Rank 1-2.

If you queue up as quickly as you say, there is no reason for you to be matched up with survivors 5 ranks below yourself, meanwhile other killers are getting ridiculous disparities in rank.

Introduce ingame voice comm for everyone.
Balance the game around voice comms.

Even then SWF sitll has a really high advantage that they can choose their premades, other games consider this advantage so big that they even have separate ranked queues for solo / premade players.

LFG group queues like Overwatch has. Players already gather to play with strangers on Discord, so all we need is an official channel for it.

  • Slug the second to last or just give it up.

2 pips with killer is practically guaranteed with a solid 3k game anyway.

Is this allowed to use? Can I get banned by that?

This program is not listed on the EAC whitelist, so yes its usage can get you banned. However, we dont know whether EAC searches for it acitvely, but if it is detected you will be perma banned and there is no chance to get unbanned after that

It's a bit weird that you can possibly get PERMANENT banned for a pretty normal program without any information on any official website how EAC will behave to that. Doesn't feel like a competent anti cheat system if you ask me tho

A blacklist never existed, even in the old system. (if there exists one now, please provide the link to it)

Either it is whitelisted or you are at risk to get banned. And yes, you will get instantly perma banned for cheating (no thats not a pretty normal programm, you are gaining an ingame advantage by using a third party program). And EAC is by no means a competent anti cheat system^^

What advantage I'm gaining exactly? I'm gaining absolute no advantage, the speed of wiggling is limited, and struggling doesn't matter either how fast spacebar gets smashed. So idk what point your making but it's illogical tho.
With "normal program" I mean people are using AHK or other similar software in daily bases on their office workflow for automatic sequences for example.

There is indeed a perfect speed in that you mash the key. Thats wh y you always getr a diffreent number of struggle poitns for example.

... You don't play survivor too often, do you?

You hit it too fast => some hits dont register
You hit it too slow => you lose struggle time

But if you used macros from the very beginning, you dont know that

Um.. I've almost never gotten any less than ~893 points or something like that. It's a consistent number, not matter how absurdly fast you press. Hitting "too" fast doesn't exist. If you hit too slow you die. That's it. But slow is literally missing a beat. There are rarely cases the value changes.

If you claim that values are constantly changing, I doubt you play survivor at all. Especially when you think people use macros to get consistent struggle points...

Totally agree, but the devs can't buff all of these kinds of perks. Or rather, they could, but then they'd have to nerf some other perks and buff killers etc. So the whole thing becomes much more complicated.

I'm pretty convinced that some perks aren't meant to be used (by the average, solo-queuing survivor) once you hit the point where you're collecting teachables etc. But sometimes they become useful again later in odd builds.

E.g. Unbreakable on its own, I find useless. Unbreakable + Tenacity, I've seen work. Never tried it myself though.

Can't think of any use for Boil Over other than getting up the nose of killers during the Blight. Except for those running Iron Grasp and Agitation.

Why would you have to buff and nerf different things? This is only about Boil Over

Any buffs to any part of survivor is bad, get it? ;)

I had a much longer post, but it vanished on me. I'll get straight to the point here.

People aren't playing survivor because they want more points and they can fall victim to group penalization.

Survivors earn 15-20k BP a round normally (if you don't die absurdly early) so this combined with the faster queues might actually be better for points than you think.

You can do everything right as survivor, and still die because your team did nothing. With DC's on the rise (according to the community) this is only made worse.

This means that there are three ways to effectively respond.
1.) Increase survivor bloodpoint rewards at base
    2.) Enforce stricter DC punishment
3.) Buff survivors (Please for the love of God don't pick this one!)

What are your thoughts on this folks?

mayeb they could buff soo survivors by nerfing sfw ones by doing this for each sfw member their is limits the aumount of perks they can have for instance 4 eqauls each can only have one perk and 3 2 and 2 3 and so on

I've always liked this idea, and really wish they would implement it. Just for clarity, I think it should be

    • 4 SWF: 1 Perk
    • 3 SWF: 2 Perks
    • 2 SWF: 3 Perks
    • Solo: 4 Perks

exactly this would buff solo survivors and give sfw groups the nerf they have avoided for so long without completely breaking the mode just requiring more skill from each member

That'll definitely get more people playing survivor and completely fix the queue imbalance!

Only the obsession should get to use DS. For every instance of DS in the group make the skill check zone larger (shown by a number on the perk for all survivors using it). This forces people who want to be the obsession to take other obsession perks. Also survivors need at least 2 more obsession based perks to offset to the 5 killers have (and because OoO and SS suck).

No. That's an awful idea because it forces survivors to harass each other to use a perk they each earned.

Players using DS should just have a UI indicator visible to everyone. That way the killer isn't caught off guard and the survivors need to work together to get DS to proc at all for non-obsessions. It will also make it easier for solo survivors to get assistance/help others with the perk, without having to change anything about it.

The problem as killer is that you have to deal with up to 4 instances of this perk. When you get hit with 1 that's bad enough, 2 is really bad, and 3 or 4 is just a loss no matter what you do. It's kinda dumb only 1 person should get to use it. And it's not like you wouldn't get the full benefit of the perk, if the skill check were larger for the 1 guy that can use it and they can hit it easy that's good for everyone. As I stated, 1 DS = powerful so to ensure that guy gets DS helps everyone. There is no reason you should get to DS the killer if you are not the obsession.

If you get hit by 4 DSes when you know each and everyone one of them is coming, then you deserve it. The only reason non-obsession DS works is because killers don't know that they have it.

Your proposition will have SWFs bullying solos to unequip DS and then sandbagging when they don't get their way.

Yes. Except non-obsession DS survivors already have that benefit from playing in SWF. This is the same reason why the devs chose not to implement the DS change: because only SWF benefits from the current and proposed iteration. Having the indicator available to everyone will allow SWF to help solos, and solos to help other solos.

Also no, because the Killer will know who has DS and who does not. It will no longer be a surprise, and they will be far less likely to be caught by it by going to the nearest hook. It will not be an issue now that hooks are evenly spread out across the map.

  • Darkest Moonlight only improved the game in normally bright maps. Like the Game.

I think it should stay a KWF only option. Maybe one day they can return if we ever get other game modes.

  • Probably a bug, or you guys were blocking each other.

or maybe Clown was just mega thicccccc

  • I think Alert is good enough as it is.

Problem number one: if you play with many different killers, then you'll never reach high ranks.
Problem number two: people would heavily abuse it.

    Do I need more reasons?

Just because I'm good with Pig doesn't mean I'm good with Nurse. Yes, some basic stuff about killer will carry over but overall, I wanna start over on a new killer that I'm bad at. Additionally, rank 20-15 queues are bad so wouldn't this fix that issue?

No, that would be terrible. Killers are to much alike. It would turn into a massacre.

It's as dumb as suggesting that using only No Mither should bring a Rank1 survivor to Rank20 queues.

It's telling that some people are quick to judge others for intentionally deranking, and then somehow support virtually the same thing.

Maybe you dont wanna reach high ranks?
Imagine this for example, you reach rank 1 with your tryhard nurse, but then you want to learn a new killer.....

Also, how could this be abused?

    Are you kidding me?
What could go wrong if a rank 1 killer suddenly switches to his rank 20 killer?

Well if he never played that killer he will perform badly too, isnt that the point of the rank system?

No, he won't. There are not enough differences between each killer to believe that skill won't transfer. Half of the killers are 115% ms M1 simulators to begin with.

Bullying new players will not fix this issue. It will exacerbate it.

Waiting till rank reset is good enough as it is.

Survivor mains: I want secondary objectives, doing only gens is boring.
Also survivor mains: I can't be bothered to cleanse totems, pls nerf NOED.

It's still boring to cleanse totems and work on generators. I wished that there was unique skill checks for generators and totems.

Easy solution: TotH should give a notification even if survivors try cleansing a dull totem.
It should also give silent skill checks to totems or a random effect.
Because right now it's a pointless perk.

Lol that would be a nerf. The notifications are distracting and abusive as it is.

It would be better if they made cleansing speed split between all survivors currently working on totems, and maybe coupled with a chase buff near the totem.

A bit over 31k people playing. I am only at rank 10 right now with killer.

And I have been waiting about half an hour now. Finally got 1 survivor? What gives?

I knew survivors didn't like or "couldn't make it" cause it's just ever so hard to be past rank 15. But rank 10, really?

Reopen the lobby. Sometimes they are straight up bugged.

Sadly BHVR still hasnt fixed this problem

They cannot just "fix" a problem that's related to there not being enough survivors to go around.

I get survivors without problems at green ranks.
Dont act like lobbies are workign properly and its just a lack of players, because this simply isnt the case

And yet survivors have not problem getting into a killer lobby instantly. Soon as I press join I'm in a lobby and it's been like that going from rank 15 all the way to 1 for me. Sure it's not always a full lobby, but it is a lobby and I will bounce to help fill another if it is taking too long...like 60 seconds. There's a bug all right and when they fix it, you will be averaging out your instant wait times with those who wait forever - so you can all wait for the same amount of time for a game.

You all don't get it - survivors are NOT missing your lobbies. When that bug is fixed it isn't going to magically make more survivors appear to fill everyone's lobby quickly.

People kept throwing around the same bull during the Halloween event. "Oh, it's a lobby bug! That must be it!". The devs stated there was no bug. Matchmaking may not be lax enough for fast matches, but every imbalance of players isn't miraculously evaporated by claiming it's a bug.

I have no problems getting lobbies as a survivor, solo or SWF. But as the killer, the only consistent survivors I get are teams of SWF with uneven ranks. It's not a coincidence.

I actually really like this idea a lot. Less frustrating for killer but a nice counter to camping.

I'm guessing killers should also not know what hooks are sabotaged and what aren't or they'll just try and avoid those hooks.

Then they can make destroying hooks a ultra rare add-on like BNP.

That's actually pretty cool. I like these ideas a lot.

Fair and allows the devs to play with sabo without having to balance the "fun" aspect of it because it wouldn't feel as frustrating.

Make DS a hex perk, the totem glows in a different color (maybe red) and can be destroyed by the killer by simply hitting it. Once its gone, DS is a dead perk (for all survivors), just like a classic hex perk

As long as DS is constantly active while the totem is up with unlimited uses.

Simple solution is making Kindred tier 2 baseline for all survivors. This gives the killer his sacrifice and gives the survivors their opportunity to properly rush generators if the killer is camping.

How will the Survivors know if the Killer is camping if it's Kindred II, not Kindred III?

They won't know off the bat, but it should be obvious judging by the auras of a survivor trying to save them.

The killer buff during chase is just random and doesn't have any logical reasoning behind it. It also just wouldn't be a good idea, we already had that issue back with the "machine gun" build issue if you were around then.

Also, I'm down for Kindred 2 being at base to bring solo up to swf par however your changes to Kindred would defeat the purpose of a lot of other perks like Bond and Empathy. If you kept Kindred the same or changed it you would have to give some massive as hell buffs to killer and add some other HEAVY things to slow down the game. I don't think you realize just how much of a massive loss of time that would do to the killers...who are already way, way behind on time in the current game WITHOUT adding that.

Kindred doesn't buff the killer, read the bold for a quick summary.

Kindred: Your loving heart burns evil and protects you from harms way. When in a chase, all survivors except you will see each other's aura. The killer's attack recovery time and speed penalty during the attack recovery time towards you is increased by 5/10/15%.

Jesus, you actually want that hindrance on the killer ALSO? Read what i already wrote on my last post, these are just insane buffs on the survivor side that would absolutely destroy the what little balance there is.

You're overreacting, 15% is not the end of the world for the killer and it only affects the killer when he attacks a survivor that is using the perk. It's not like Open Handed where it gives the 15% to ever survivor.

My point is that even WITHOUT that 15% effect, this change would MASSIVELY put the game out of balance when it's ALREADY in a massively out of balance state. If you want to push these changes, you need to offer some very extreme killer buffs to compensate alongside them.

Yeah, bullshit. The game is already at a killer favored death ratio with SWF factored in, yet killers are continuously getting buffed with little regard for differentiating solo and SWF players.

Every killer buff is mostly a nerf to solo survivors. With killer queues already staggering due to the lack of current survivor players, we need changes to improve solo survivor experience.

And I say this as someone who can barely stand to play killer because of the 5-10 minute queues that only fill up once a 4-man SWF rolls around.

Just complete nonsense. If you're having trouble as a solo survivor it's you. Rank 20 isn't an accurate balance representation.

Having trouble and not wanting to play are two separate things.

I don't play handicapped. You should talk to the non-existent solo survivors in your queues for their "Rank 20" opinions.

Yeah I'm sure you could get past rank 20 if you wanted to...right lol.

My over 2,100 hours and rank 1's from well over 2 years ago would disagree with you.

Since I'm not a child, I'm not going to turn this into a rank/gametime dick measuring contest.

Come back when you have something of value to add.
