I would love more lore!
-
I'm not sure we got too much to work with right now. All we know is that its coming sometime in December and that they're announcing something big at the 2018 Game Awards. So maybe that's when we'll get some clues to the new killer.
-
That's honestly horrible. If that isn't a perm ban, idk what is. I'm aware that talking trash normally results in a 24 hour to 1 week ban (I think, not sure tho), but this has got to be a 2 week absolute minimum.
-
Personally, I just wouldn't like the idea. I don't really think mainstream TV shows should be added into DbD. This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
-
Here's my licensed killer/ OG killer rule: It can be added as long as it's a creative concept. So if they can get creative with a werewolf killer, then sure, I'm all for it.
-
Springtrap. So many people just disgrace the fact that he's from FNAF and thus shouldn't be added. He's literally the videogame equivalent of Michael Myers (even tho hes already in a game). His story contains him killing over a dozen innocent children, and then trying to escape the souls of those children by hiding in a suit. And that's just the tip of it!

I'm getting the feeling it could be a licensed killer. Remember in a stream they said "If everything goes as planned." Why would they say that when they normally have complete control over their original chapters. I kinda hope it's not Ghostface if it is a licensed killer though. I'd like to see Art the clown from Terrifier and I know we already have a clown in game but he just seems really perfect for the game. He likes to torture people and he's silent.
Lets have FNaF as a licensed killer. Not because its a good idea, but so we can trigger everyone by adding 2 Freddys
I can just imagine the outrage lol
Lmao. Personally, I'd be ok with any licensed killer as long as the devs are creative about it.

I think this is a pretty neat change. I like how this addresses the issue of DS being a "get out of jail free card". My DS change suggestion would be similar to this one. Nice work.

Add voice comms => buff killersThats the only true solution
That's what I'd do. That, or atleast notify the killer in the lobby that a swf group is present.
And then killers will lobby dodge SWF and complain about long killer queues.
Or the killer can better prepare for it. I know some killers aren't, but personally I'm ok going up against swf as long as I can prepare appropriately. I think part of the SWF issue is that the killer doesn't get a fair warning when a swf group is present, and the killer only finds out when they're already in game.

I think its licensed because a licensed killer is about 1/4 killers. The chapter 11 killer is extremely old by a long shot. So, unless that killer is licensed (I can't think of a licensed killer that old), then I would say we're getting one this chapter.

I always wanted Springtrap in the game.

Sorry for Necroing this dead thread, but personally, I'd love to see a FNaF chapter in the game. Not with Freddy tho, its gotta be Springtrap. He seems like a good slasher to me that could fit well if executed directly.

This perk is completely overshadowed by We'll Make It. Botany Knowledge definitely needs a buff to make it worth it.

I'd love to see Chucky in an apartment building type of map, maybe split between three floors with stairs and fire escapes linking them together. Maybe even an out of service elevator that you can hop through the hatch of to drop down a floor. As for a survivor, I'm a bit rusty on those movies, but I believe the mother would be the best fit.
How would Chucky hook someone?

Never.
The next chapter is non-licensed and will be released around winter.
On the morphing killer topic that'll never happen because SWF would destroy it and make it useless.
How do you know the next chapter is non-licensed?
The Dev's said so, like a thousand times
Actually I think the next killer may be licensed. Licensed killers come in about every 1 out of 3 to 4 killers. First, one of the devs was asked the question on twitter on whether the new killer (for chapter 10) is gonna be licensed or not and they "couldn't say". Next, in one of the dev streams, a dev spoiled that chapter 11 was the farthest back in time that the entity has reached for a killer. Since the huntress was snatched by the entity during WW1, unless were getting a licensed killer that's from before then, I think a licensed killer this chapter isn't totally insane.
Sorry if this was confusing at all.

We all know they're coming, because the game is in the worst state I've ever seen it in the 2 years I've been playing. Rank 1 is a complete disaster, almost every game someone suicides on the hook or disconnects.A few ideas:
- Go back to the drawing board and rethink the ranking system. A simple idea would be to add like 20 more ranks to have rank 1-40.
- Kindred: buff the ######### out of it, add some extra stuff to it so that it becomes meta. That way it will become a viable counter to BBQ and Chilli.
- Vigil: buff it so you can lose exhaustion while running. If the killer can't down you in 40 seconds, with the current map layouts, he's playing at the wrong rank and he needs to depip.
- Dance with me: buff it so people actually use it. Remove the cooldown, add some extra seconds to no scratch marks. You'll still need to run additional perks for it to be effective (quick and quiet/iron will/lithe)
- Self care: revert the latest changes, lots of killers use sloppy butcher anyway. There was no need for this.
- Saboteur: increase the sabo speed to spicy up gameplay
- Sole survivor: make it so it counters bbq properly
- Diversion: remove the requirements and just give it a 30 sec cooldown, or add some pebbles to the map that you have to pick up and don't have a cooldown
- Mori offering: Remove it completely but add a red mori by default in 4 man swf and a green mori in less than 4 man
- Pallets: fix it so either the killer gets hit or the survivor, never both
- Pallets: revert it back to when you could stun a killer picking up a survivor at whatever point in the animation
- BNP: rethink it or replace it, it doesn't do anything now
- NOED: remove it and you can take DS with it as well
And in general add or rethink perks that break/increase the chases, focusing on stealth and mindgames.
Remember BHVR, your game is good as long as the chases are fun and exciting. It's not about the scare factor, that goes away after a few games. It's impossible to have that once you get used to the game. It was always about the chases and currently they're too short.
This is WAY too survivor sided. Right now, I would say killer and survivor are more balanced as they have ever been (imo). This would just make survivors untouchable again. However, the thing about vigil isn't bad.
-
The whole point of the shrine is to be able to get perks you don't have access to. So that paying isn't the only way to get some good perks.

What's your opinion of a FNaF/Robot killer?EDIT: It doesn't have to be FNaF, I just put that there because it seemed like they would group in with the "robot" category.
No. Don't even start talking or mentioning FnaF. Robot killers would be impossible to balance since robots are basically better humans and they should be twice as good as a survivor...now imagine a thing like that being boosted by the entity
I mean, twice as good as a Survivor means it'd be as good as 2 Survivors.
Shouldn't a Killer always be better in at least a 1v1? ;PBut are they? Nope xD That's why every survivor would cry and make the community even more split and cancerous.
But they should be, and a Killer representing what should be would be a great start.
Yes. And every sane player thinks like that. Too bad most of the survivor mains don't think like that and start moaning when a strong killer is introduced into the game.
I can see where your coming from. Strong killers are a touchy subject among survivors (for obvious reasons), but most survivors should HOPEFULLY agree that 1 survivor should be weaker than the killer. If they don't agree to that, then they have no right to help balance this game.
There's an idea going around for a while now that DS should just stun the Killer, but not free you from their grip.
While the Killer's stunned, they wouldn't be able to walk or move their camera, and they'd be susceptible to being blinded while in this animation, successfully freeing the grabbed Survivor.
It could also be used to stop the Killer at a pallet, so an other Survivor has enough time to pull it down. While i'm uncertain if this idea would be "the ideal solution to make literally everyone happy", my point is that, what it would do, is reinforce the idea that you'd need some help to overcome the Killer's advantages over you.
Is there still an obsession mechanic to this? If so, what would be the difference between using as the obsession vs. using it as not as obsession?

Apologies, I’ve held that in for a while now.
I don’t think it would work, unless they used a phantom or nightmare animatronic. I do think hearing freddy’s Distorted, slowed laugh would really add to the atmosphere of the game. I’m not sure about this one.
Firstly, every and I mean EVERY fandom will have is good and bad side, it's not really in peaks of which is better or worse since I come to the idea that all fandoms are equal in there quality's regardless of what they are based on.
As for the idea of an animatronic killer, would probably be too silly to work in the same game as a pedo old man who was burned alive, or a crazed cannibal but the idea could be possible or just reworked into a different killer
What about an insane man who murdered a dozen innocent children, then proceeded to protect himself by hiding in a rusted suit. Later, surviving an entire building combust into flames. Finally, being killed in a second fire to go into an eternal purgatory where he is tortured by his victims? THAT'S, a fnaf killer that isn't too silly for ya.

I'm not saying the devs are right or wrong, but bringing a robot would clash with their rule of every Killer "being human" in some way or at some point.
And these guys LOVE their lore.
One could argue they're actually human cause there's a human soul in them, but i don't think they'd be satisfied with that: It'd still be a robot.
You could put a human soul in a book and call it a new Killer cause it has a human soul.
Though of all characters, Springtrap's not a bad idea, since his actual body is infused with it, though the devs would have to show a lot more skin, flesh and/or bone than he does in FNAF 3 to still show the human part of the character.100% agreed

He could move extremely quickly and only if the survivors are looking at him. If the survivors keep eye contact for a total of 10 seconds, he will be randomly spawned elsewhere on the map, with that horrifyingly slow laugh playing.
I feel so bad for Scott, the guy to this day is putting things in the games to drive AWAY that part of the fandom, by making the games more dark and morbid with each entry. He’s literally changing character designs to combat the cringe. And you know what I’m talking about.
Hes a great guy, and what made FNaF great, was the story that left nothing but clues and spawned thousands of theories. It was so interesting and intriguing because you didn’t have answers, only newspaper entries and voicemails to go on as well as rare paranormal happenings.
for me, the horror was what I could find on cameras, to see one of them is no longer where you remember, only to find them 5 rooms over, staring directly into your camera, was incredibly unnerving and made you feel uncomfortable. It was the subtle nature and tension that made me love it.
Its not for everyone, which is why the games are only around $3, because Scott knows and understands what his content is worth, and then gsme isn’t super complex, he has the restraint to not be greedy and nowadays that’s extremely rare and commendable
Not a single point I don't disagree with (well about the Scott thing). Scott knows that his games aren't that complex, which is why he charges little value for any of them. He hasn't made a FNaF game that is 10 (or more) dollars. I feel bad for Scott mainly just because of the hate that the games have gotten. He even said himself, "don't make the mistake of coming down on the fanbase as a whole".

I had to google FNaF. For anyone else unfamiliar with it, they are talking about Five Nights at Freddy's. It's a silly jump scare game. I can't say I like the idea of Chuck'E Cheese animatronic robot killer in DBD. I don't think robots, ninjas, zombies, aliens, etc really belong. Though I suppose, a zombie isn't too far away from a spirit when you think about it.If robots in DbD seem to be the problem, just pick one of the more human killers of the series. I don't want to get too deep on this topic as this post is about robot killers.

I feel the same way tbh. The game are pretty mediocre to decent quality and the lore for a few of the characters could easily tie them into Dead by Daylight. However the fanbase is where most Dead by Daylight players say no. I agree that the fanbase is pretty repulsive at sometimes, but unlike other people, I don't really see why this should be the main reason to say "no". I think the more "cancerous" side of the fandom is starting to fade, as I'm now seeing more general acceptance of the series when brought up in other topics. As for what killer it could be, the only FNaF killer than I feel could work is Springtrap. He's just really the only solid "killer" in the series.

I know this post has been done multiple times, but what are some licensed content you would like to see in the game? Not just killers, but licensed survivors and/or maps as well. So say just an iconic map from a movie or game as a stand-alone DLC content.Personally, I would love to see a Suspiria themed DLC with maybe even the upcoming remake as the DLC if its good. You would have Suzy as the survivor with part of the dance school as the map and possibly even one of the witches as the killer. I think it would be an interesting concept that would fit in well with the game. Also I would love to see Sally finally join DBD even though she wasn't released alongside Leatherface.
So what/who do you guys thing should be apart of the game?
I would say a three way tie between a L4D2 killer (Hunter or Smoker), Friday the 13th (Jason), and Five Nights at Freddy's (Springtrap). I know that last one is kinda controversial but there's just something fun about being chased down by a robot.

Tbh, I'm actually ok with a FNaF chapter. I don't think Freddy is a good idea because first, hes just not scary and second, we don't need two freddys. If they were going to make a FNaF chapter, it would have to be Springtrap or something like that. He isn't exactly that scary either but they could probably just remodel him to make him scarier. Even a dev wanted a FNaF killer though, so it's not that unrealistic. Are we still in that "hate FNaF and kill it at all costs" phase? I feel like 80% of people who hate the game just hate it from bandwagoning on the hate train. Everyone is like: "I'll uninstall the game if FNaF is added!" That's the kind of bandwagon and over exaggerated hate that FNaF gets! Guaranteed you'll come back in a week or less out of boredom.

Is it me or wouldn't it be cool to have a map inside the entity's true realm but its more dangerous for both killers and survivors as the entity is furious at the intrusion and don't discriminate if the killer don't find and attack survivors within a time limit the entity punishes the killer in some wayI feel like this concept would suffer because of the "stage hazard" concept that games like Smash Bros also suffered from: The abillity to decide a win or loss due to a hazard presented by the stage. I would be ok with it if the map with the hazards could only be spawned in with the use of an offering (maybe like a "very rare" offering), so this way its not totally RNG based.
