Just not a fan of the overly cartoony look of FNAF and feel it would take away from the overall vibe of the game. If they are gonna add more licensed killers and survivor I could think of a lot that would be much more deserving of the honor. As I said before:
I do agree that this doesn't fit into the game at all: https://pm1.narvii.com/6135/3db0207a9b12941366446715d6023fb0f9f92199_hq.jpgHowever, this absolutely fits the game's atmosphere: https://pre00.deviantart.net/ee30/th/pre/f/2017/167/9/2/stylistic_springtrap_render_by_misterfab1970-dbcx2o6.png
There's only a handful of killers I think would be better than a FNaF killer. Maybe like Jason or Chucky (even though he most likely won't come). I'm just thinking in terms of videogame killers with a legacy. Yeah, there are more scary options, but I didn't see people going around talking about those options in 2014.
Pinhead, Candman, Pyramid Head, and The Tall Man would all be top choices for me but I'm a little old school I see a lot of threads asking for Ghostface from scream and The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers even though we know he won't be getting added. So there are still quite a few they could add before going that route.
I'm not saying it has to be the next DLC or even the most likely DLC. Those are all great choices and should get a spot on the roster spot. All I'm saying is that a FNaF killer, like Springtrap, should eventually get a roster spot of his own as well.

I don't really have a preference on licensed vs. original killers. However, I'm sure that the creator of Five Nights at Freddy's would be perfectly fine with cosmetics.

I just feel that there would be a lot more positives than negatives that would come from a FNaF chapter. Do you hate the idea of a FNaF chapter or would you be okay with it if it were added into the game? Or maybe you couldn't care less whether a FNaF chapter were added. This is just an opinionated debate with no right or wrong answers.
Idk, I have mixed feelings on a FNaF chapter. However I don't see a big problem with adding this chapter tho but the developers want a human like killer not a complete machine tho. Maybe Spring Trap could but that's the developers choice, not mine!

Springtrap would be the best choice for a killer, if a Five Nights at Freddy's chapter were to be added.

They like the series for other things like story/lore, characters, fan games, and other stuff like that. The whole reason why I suggested bring a FNaF character to Dead by Daylight in the first place is because Dead by Daylight's gameplay. I find the gameplay of Dead by Daylight much more enjoyable than FNaF's gameplay, but FNaF has some really interesting characters that would suit the role for a great killer. So, that's why I thought it would be interesting to see a FNaF killer in this game.

@redsopine1 said:
How would that work exactlyI was thinking something along the lines of a Springtrap killer, but that's just a thought. A FNaF chapter could be executed in dozens of ways in terms of mechanics and concepts. You could introduce many different play styles to the game. There was a concept I saw on the forums about a FNaF killer a while ago. The concept was all about punishing you if you are out of the terror radius by gradually adding negative effects (essentially a reverse carters sparks thing).

Anyone wanna have a guess on what chapter 9 will be like?
Licensed or Generic killer?
Good or Bad killer?
Good survivor perks or survivor perks equivalent to surveillance?I really don't want to see a licensed killer. Why?
They don't have control over them as much as they have control over their own creation. Generally, their licensed killers are really weak except for myers and even he is not that good. Creating cosmetics and all the related stuff is also another problem.
They need to create another top tier killer that is difficult to play but rewarding like nurse. She/he shouldn't be more powerful than nurse but something close to her would be very nice. The new killer's perks should be game changing and allowing us to play in different styles. For example, although freddy is not a good killer, his perk set is unique and allows different gameplays.
I think that both survivor's and killer's perks should be powerful and useful enough for us to give up our own perks.
If I were them, I would go with church and killer priest concept with a good christian boy or a girl as a survivor. Yes it is overused and predictable but it feels like this community already wants generic killers like priests, clowns etc.
IDC if its a licensed killer or not. I'd like a licensed killer for chapter nine just because it seems it would be a good time for one. It just depends on what the gameplay concept is for it. Remember Freddy when he first came out? He was amazing! My point being is that if it is a licensed killer, then I hope it's like ATLEAST Leatherface or Clown equivalent in terms of tier.

I wanna see a killer that can throw a hook at you and pull you to him for a hit. Additionally we need more hex perks and obsession based perks so hopefully we will get some!

That could be like a pirate killer, where he lures you in with an anchor or something like that. Also YES, hex perks are neat so I hope we see at least 1 new one.

I have heard mixed reviews about the patch, but overall I didn't think it was that bad. I play a mix of both killer and survivor. I still have no trouble escaping as survivor and killer is now at the place it should be. I heard people complaining about things like exhaustion and the OP killer perk buffs, but it doesn't break the game like people say it does. I see so much survivor bias towards the patch that its actually sad. For once, now killers don't have to be 10x better than the survivors to have a slim chance of victory. My only issue was that surveillance is still absolute dog poo, but I hope they eventually fix it.You still have no trouble escaping. Yeah and this tells me that killer is NOT at the place it should be. At least tahts what I expected when I purchased an assymetrical horrorgame.
Citing from the steam store:
A Feast for Killers - Dead by Daylight draws from all corners of the horror world. As a Killer you can play as anything from a powerful Slasher to terrifying paranormal entities. Familiarize yourself with your Killing Grounds and master each Killer’s unique power to be able to hunt, catch and sacrifice your victims.
• Real People, Real Fear - The procedural levels and real human reactions to pure horror makes each game session an unexpected scenario. You will never be able to tell how it’s going to turn out. Ambience, music, and chilling environments combine into a terrifying experience. With enough time, you might even discover what’s hiding in the fog.
When I say I have no trouble escaping, that's not saying I do it every time. I'm just saying its not as hard to escape as people are saying it is (but it is harder). Killers are finally at the place they should be (except Freddy and wraith). I escape about 2/5 games and normally die to trying to be altruistic.

I’d love a killer based on each of the classic Horror Monster’s of Hollywood.Vampire
Werewolf
Mummy
Monster of Mad ScientistThe mummy is the only one not likely since in general the developers have stated that they are trying to go with any creature that has a specific theological lore behind it.
A vampire could be interesting, how would you set them up? What power would they have and what three perks main would they get?
The Vampire is probably the MOST likely to be in the game (not saying it will tho). Mainly just because the devs said that they weren't going to add an undead character or a character that doesn't stand on two legs (unless the werewolf stands on two legs, then its ok). As for the scientist...... idek

So, just Springtrap. Wonder where you got that idea.I like the Ticking Timer idea, bringing Springlock suits into the occasion is a pretty good idea, though my only question is how would a teammate rescue them from the hook?
"Lurking Within the Afterlife," however, is awful. The name does not roll of the tongue at all and is far too long, try something else such as Wandering Spirit. That's not much better, just an example, but something shorter than that mouthfull is ideal. Also, the ability itself is completely busted. You disable all abilities to hault the Survivor's progress, which isn't very fun, at least to me. Then, being able to see Survivors within a 40 meter range is huge. HUGE. That range is huge. That range is further than BBQ and Chili, a Perk some people already consider to be overpowered. However, that's only if you left the suit next to your spawn. Which, why would you? You would only ever use this ability to get a quick look around the surroundings, so having to take such a long time all the way back to be able to do anything again is awful, and they'll already have moved. Also, we have no confirmed appearance on what William Afton looks like, so we can't really tell what his ghost looks like either. I have no clue how to rework this to improve it, and it might be better to just completely change it, as it'll either be way too weak or way too strong.
Hex: Bloodtaste is hard to judge. I believe 15% more on a lunge would allow you to hit Survivors from a large distance away, which seems extremely overpowered. However, because it's attached to the Hex, it's hard to say for sure.
An Unknown Desire: Right, again, work on the name. The name describes nothing other than there is a desire, which the flavor text has already explained. Perhaps something like Dark Yearning or something along those lines. As for the actual perk itself... eh, it isn't too bad. It's actually pretty good, I could see myself running it.
Iron Skull: It should be your goal to not get stunned anyway, and so when you get stunned having a chance for the Pallet to break doesn't do too much; however, if it does break than it will completely negate any looping, however they'll have much more time to decide to run away so I don't know if that's for better or for worse.
All three of the perks could use a little flavor text buffer, but that isn't really necessary and just a personal thing.
Oh, a crowbar, wonder where you got that idea.
Hey, any criticism is accepted!
First, it would just be like a normal hook. They would just pull the survivor out of the suit.
Second, I guess "Wandering Spirit" would be a better name for it. Another concept I had for it was for the spirit to not have ANY aura reading ability (other than to see your suit) and to just have an extremely increased hearing range, so things like gens, sprinting, healing, and other stuff would be easier to detect. It would make the abillity more skill based. I wanted this abillity to be a tracking abillity. It would have survivors who are doing gens and other actions be more vulnerable than those who are not. It would be a way to slow the game down a bit. Remember though, the spirit is very fast and can easily get across the map. Also, for Afton's spirit appearance, I just said an unshaped blur. The keyword is unshaped, so there is no real appearance needed.
For the bloodtaste perk, it was supposed to be like this: Ruin is to gens as Bloodtaste is to survivors. Its unique quality is that it's supposed to be an abillity which starts weak and gets stronger as the game progresses (or until the hex is destroyed).
For the second perk, I had no clue to what the name should have been (but again, Dark Yearning sounds better).
The third perk was not really supposed to be good on its own. It would just make great combos with Enduring and Brutal Strength.
The Crowbar thing was the only thing I took from your post, but what better things are there? I was thinking of a robotic fist as his weapon but I didn't want to copy the hag. A knife is something that Myers uses, so I cant do that either.
There were two reasons why I though Springtrap should be a stand alone. One was because I had no clue who any good survivors there could be? I mean, maybe Henry? The second was to balance the number of killers to survivors.
Fair enough.
And by "wonder where you got that idea" I was referencing the fact that I made a standalone Springtrap concept ages ago that you commented on.Yeah, I got that.

This is a cool concept, but it seems to be much harder on the survivors than the killer. Not really... In essence all it does for survivors is take off the training wheels, add a slightly greater penalty for failing the laughably easy skill checks, reduce each hook phase by 15 seconds, and the killers terror radius by 6 meters (Doctor players will take much umbrage to this change). Generator repair rate is unaffected, Perks aren't nerfed or limited, and where No Mither is concerned, are actually enhanced. Survivors as of now are already incredibly OP against the Killer with multiple chances of escape, and supernatural stamina, all of which are still unaffected by this mode. Whereas killers get a lower TR (which is good for some but totally screws over the perks that need larger TR's), lower aura reading time, Tremendously smaller detection range for failed healing skill checks, and no idea other than visual confirmation of if a survivor is using No Mither. Overall I was worried I was being too harsh on the killers vs. survivors, but If you want to see heavy nerfs to both parties... That is where Hard and Insane mode come in.
Actually I guess this is true. Nvm

This is fricking genius, no really! I'm not one to really enjoy FNaF's gameplay but Springtrap in Dead by Daylight actually isn't as far-fetched as you think! One of the dev's (I think it was Sarah) was asked "what licensed video game killers would you like to see?". She answered "Five Night's at Freddy's. The only bad thing about this post is that the ability and 2nd perk are kinda Op. I had a perk idea that was good for chases, it is: Once per game and while in your first chase, you vault or destroy a pallet 100% faster. After this effect has been triggered, you will get a 5/10/15 percent speed boost for 2 seconds when vaulting.Heh, thanks alot! I love your perk idea, though I'm a bit confused. Is the 2 seconds vaulting speed boost permanent after the first chase, meaning that it happens everytime you vault for the rest of the game? I'm going to assume so because that would make it an excellent Vault Master Myers pick. So, this is what I'm thinking...
Perk 2: Crawlspace: You're no stranger to crawling through small spaces such as vents, and if anything these Vaults are easier. --/--/Once per game and while in your first chase, you vault or destroy a pallet 100% faster. After this effect has been triggered, you will get a 5/10/15% speed boost for 2 after Vaulting. Additionally, you vault 1/2/3% faster."Killers are experts at finding the cleverest route to catch you from. Look everywhere." -Notebook
I'm a little worried that maybe the additional vaulting speed I added might make the Perk a little too good, but I figured it would fall in line with the character a little better so I went for it. I also felt that it was best to move the first effect of the perk to it's final form because it just felt right. I dunno, I'm not a guy who is super effective at balance as you can tell, lmao.
Now, on the topic of the ability, that is a much harder issue to solve. I'm assuming the op part is how easy it is to gain bars and how hard it is to lose them. So, here's what I suggest to myself:
It now takes 20 seconds to gain a bar, with 15 being moved to an add-on.
Decreases the time from 5 seconds to 2.5 seconds in the time it takes to remove a bar. Obviously that doesn't count in a chase. I'll swap them out then, and add these changes to the main post and document the old aspects in an archive comment. What happens is when you're in your first chase, you can destroy a pallet or vault at 2x speed. After that (from your 2nd chase onwards), every time you vault a window, you will get a speed boost. This affects all chases after the first chase. So yeah its permanent after the first chase, but you must be IN a chase for the perk to activate.
I love the extra vault speed thing you added to the perk! Its just a little under powered. Normally a killer vaults a window at 1.7 seconds. With that perk at max level, it would only decrease the speed by .05 seconds (making it a 1.65 second vault). Personally, i would just tune the numbers from 1/2/3 percent to 2.5/5/7.5 percent. This way, at max level the perk will allow a killer to vault at roughly 1.5 seconds which is not to big but since the killer gets a speed boost after vaulting with this perk, it would be perfect.
The abillity is AMAZING now! It would be cool to see what meta would come from this!
-
