Agreed. A lot of end game perks (namely things like NOED, Bloodwarden, Devour Hope, and Dying Light) become way weaker because of SWF cheating.

When the patch notes read "Made Hill Totems slightly harder to see" instead of "Removed Hill Totems"
We don't need more Hex totems as much as we need better totem spawns. I pretty much just give up when I see my totem spawn in the middle of an open field sometimes. Seriously on maps like Crotus Penn and Cornfields there are so many chest high walls and farming machines to hide totems behind; having them spawn right out in the open for everyone to see is inexcusable. -

They haven't even done that right for the first 3 prestige levels. Until they fix that, it's highly unlikely, they'll do a 4th prestige purely for items. It doesn't seem to be something they care about.Basically this. There was a thread on Reddit that proved that Prestiging doesn't increase the quality of Bloodwebs at all. They need to actually fix Prestige bloodwebs before adding new Prestiges.
That being said I would love there to be a "face" cosmetic slot along with the head(/hat) cosmetic slot. I'd personally love to have a Bloody Detective Tapp without the hat, or a Dwight with a Fedora and a Black Eye at the same time.
-
The Killer is using his power! So annoying! >_<
-
Cosmetics cost money. Get used to it. Even before the shop update cosmetics (Headcase, Bloody Sack, 80s Collection, and of course Streamer Cosmetics) costed money.
That being said most new characters came with more than one cosmetic before.
-
It does probably still need a cooldown. As the perk is currently it's pretty much a better version of Dark Sense.

Here are my top 3 memes that I posted on Reddit.

Try verifying Steam Cache? You might be missing some files.
-
So instead of NOED Lite it's now Devour Hope Lite?
Because as we all know Devour Hope is an extremely reliable and easy to use perk. -
It favors stealth over chasing, make of that what you will. There are very few pallets and not many windows either.
-
(Several people are typing.)
I can vouch for all three of Spirit's perks being amazing. I got all three of them at a good level on my Wraith and they're really useful. Spirit Fury (when tied with Enduring, or even without if you don't mind a bit of a stun) will almost always guarentee a free hit. Haunted Grounds is great for passively protecting less obvious totems like Devour Hope, and can also give you a huge strength increase if the Survivors get unlucky and greedy. And Rancor... it's Bitter Murmur with a free pocket mori if you run Save The Best for Last or Remember Me.Try using the perks before declaring them useless.
-
More like fix killer lobbies.
Eh. I think 4 days of free BP is fine. The problem is really just that Barbeque and Chili provides far too many Bloodpoints, which means that to maximize grind it's far more effective to play Killer than Survivor. Add in how easy it is to just hook someone (as opposed to take a hit or drop everything to unhook someone as Survivor) and it's pretty clear why people flock to killer when BP events are active. -
Yes Behavior! Stop giving us more Bloodpoints! Also make the Bloodweb cost twice as much, and give every perk an aditional 5 levels to grind through! We hate having free content! We hate having good items and perks! Boo to your charity I say! Booo!
-
If Traps spawned in less stupid locations it would be fine. Like no game I don't want to walk across literally the entire map just to use my killer power.
-
It's usually caused by connection errors. There might be a problem with your internet connection.
-
Feels very gimmicky. I'd just increase Hope's speed boost really. That tiny bit of extra speed really isn't helpful.
Another option could maybe be to make Hope grant a Vigil effect, or increased action speed for Self Care and the likes. -
The first three don't get "destroyed" by Survive with Friends. I'd even say that only NOED is really countered by SWF since you know more people are looking for totems, but even that's a stretch.
As for Insid and Knockout... They're information perks, and SWF is the death of information. Even with that being said most skilled survivors will just wiggle on the hook to signal that they're being camped, or crawl towards where other survivors may be to counter slugging. -
I mean, if you wana go deaf when you get hooked that's up to you, but changing sound files can and likely will get you banned.
-
Most DLC releases are either Tuesday or Thursday, and I don't think Behavior is stupid enough to think "early" means "second half."
-
In other words: "Survivors teabagging me in the exit gates reeeeeee!"
I would really like for there to actually be an opertunity to grab survivors in the exit gates though. Right now it's far too easy to get downed right at the edge of the map and just leave after bodyblocking for your allies (or BMing the killer.) -
Blame the players not the console.

I literally refuse to level David King until WGLF is made to apply on safe unhooks.

@Zaije said:
I think this is a good suggestion unless the gates are powered then you should always get the tokens regardless. Gives extra incentive to at least try to save instead of just leaving, killer might be camping but at least your trying. If the killer is camping you should be doing gens. You're objectively hindering your team if you go for an unhook against a camper.
-
Honestly with all the changes to hooks and killer movement speed while carrying a survivor and the existance of Hangman's Trick they could probably just reimplement pre-nerf Sabo and it would be fine.
But they won't do that because Killer mains will cry about having to use a perk to counter obvious strats, just like how they cry about Flashlights even though Lightborn renders them completely useless. -
@Mr_Jay_Stark said:
I still think they should take away the broken key and replace it for firecrackersThere's no need to remove items, but I do have to agree that there's pretty much no use for an aura reading item.

It's unfair to make these sorts of snap judgements before a killer is even (properly) teased. We don't even know what the power will be, which really affects a killer's potential. The killer's playstyle will massively affect how players percieve the killer, both when played as and when played against. It's this sort of "unfun to play against" perspective that got Freddy nerfed, after all.
But if I had to make my decision on pure blind choice I expect an above average killer. Not Billy / Huntress / Nurse levels of amazing, but not Freddy / Wraith levels of awful. The two latest killers (Amanda and Kenneth) have both been fairly average on tier lists. They've felt fun to play as and play against. I'm very happy with the quality of the recent killer releases as of late. They haven't felt too strong nor too weak. They feel unique and fun in their own special way.
Honestly, even the survivor (perks) from the last two expansions have been great. While Kate and Tapp do have some stinker perks (Boil Over, Detective's Hunch - to be fair this isn't exclusive to the survivors cough Surveillance cough) their skills overall help cater to specific playstyles as opposed to just being "this is trash, this is meta" like some of the other DLC survivors. (cough Laurie Strode cough Decisive Strike cough)tl;dr I think the new killer and the new survivor will be fine.
That being said we had a killer / survivor based around objectives (Amanda's Traps, Tapp's objective finding skills) and a killer / survivor based around chases (Kenneth Chase, Kate's Window Finding and Scratch Mark Hiding). That encompases Boldness and Objectives.
So that leaves Altruism and Survival, methinks? Another killer with perks related to healing like Nurse? -
Yet another "buff a good character because I'm too bad to play them" thread.
-
Yeah I know that they have horror movie killer Funkos already. I've seen Freddy Kruger and Jigsaw (the Billy Puppet) Funkos around at various conventions and things.
I wasn't aware that they made figurines with props though. They could make some of the killers work with props, perhaps. Wraith with his bing bong bell would be nice.Actually thought for a Wraith figurine: how cool would it be if half the figurine was made out of some transparent material? It would be badass if there was a statue of the Wraith that was half invisible.
Behavior get on that. I'd totally buy an offical statue of the Wraith if part of the body was invisible. -

On topic: I'd honestly be okay with a Ruin-esque effect being added to generators. If a generator shorted out when you hit a regular skill check but didn't lose any progress (just stopped gaining progress for a few seconds) it would help slow the game down somewhat while not feeling overly unfun. It would also make Ruin feel less oppressive as a whole.
The problem is, Ruin is so core to slow the game down, but with every hex perk, they are destroyed at the very start of the match 90% of the time, leaving you with only 3 perks. Honestly, I think Hex perks need to be remade as a whole.
Don't rework Ruin rework the game.
Ruin's problems are a problem because generator speed is a problem. If Generators didn't finish before anyone's sacrificed on average (let's be realistic here that is the average) then there's clearly a problem. One team shouldn't be able to finish their objective entirely before the other team even gets a fourth of their objectives done.
If Gens weren't literally done in the span of around a minute then Ruin could be reworked to be less oppressive and hex totems could be reworked as a whole so they aren't as easy to find. But as it stands now Ruin has to be opressive cause Generators are done too fast, and Totems have to be easy to find cause Ruin (as well as Devour Hope, to be fair) is too oppressive. -
Go play Civ.

Decisive Gun
When the killer picks you up / hits you / enters your line of sight perform a skill check to ######### shoot at them. If successful, the killer is stunned / crippled for the rest of the game / ######### dies.
I have joked about Decisive Gun being added if Syndey Prescot (from the Scream franchise) ever gets added.

I know nea has a shirt with a cat on the back. I don't know any kitty cats that stream unfortunately.😢Reference to Nea's backstory, description, and other such things. Benedict's Journal in particular describes Nea as follows.
At first sight I thought it was a cat that passed me by, just a few meters behind me. A shadow that moved without sound. But yelling is not wise in this place. I have spotted her more times, but just in the peripheral. I still don’t know her name, but she evades the monsters with a certain grace.
On topic: A lot of the cosmetics have references to Streamers. I was one of the first to point out the "little sausages" line on Reddit.
One of Jake's outfits has "#SaboGod" in the description. I don't know who that references but I assume that references someone. -

"Waaaaaaaaaaan killers being carried by NOED one perk ruins the entire game BHVR please nerf NOED and nerf Freddy again!"
Shows video of nearly minute long window loop
I don't see a killer being carried by NOED; I see a bad killer.
Maybe they shouldn't be at the rank you're at, but you can't say "Killer is bad at a high rank but has a perk I don't like therefor perk is OP." By that logic I can take Left Behind on Survivor in a Rank 1 game and, if I survive (by hiding in a locker all game and then doing gens until the hatch spawns / exit gates open) Left Behind is overpowered and should be nerfed.
Maybe they were just having a bad game? Maybe they were playing a killer they don't play very often (dailies exist). Regardless: saying that they're bad and are carried by an "overpowered" perk just makes you look like a toxic entitled crybaby. -
Close hatch when?

People seem to forget that The Doctor is based on a real life issue going on in China. That's why the Chinese DBD playerbase voted for him to be made. His Electroshock Therapy in particular directly relates to the issue in China. (I'm not going to go in depth into what Doc is based on you can Google yourself.)
But yeah in essence these people were REAL murderers who REALLY killed REAL people, some of whom may still have relatives alive today. It's fine if you reference Hollywood or even have some inspiration based on real life (again: Doc) but flat out say "lol here's a guy who killed thousands of people and you can play him!" is a great way to stir up unneeded controversy.
We can also add in the fact that they were all normal people, and giving them some bullshit magical powers for the sake of video game would be incredibly token. Yeah the killers we know were also regular people before they were transported into the Entity's realm but it's far different with them. All that being said I'd love to see a Jack the Ripper-esque Victorian killer, though honestly I feel that it would be easier to fit a vampire type killer into that slot than Jack the Ripper.

its a gameThere are Funko Figurines for Assassin's Creed, Fallout, DOOM, and other video games as well. Hell I think I've even seen some Funko Figurines for Fortnight.
On topic: It would be really cool but they could only really do the survivors I feel. Most of the killers are liscensed and the killers that aren't (no offence to Behavior) don't look that identifiable. The only ones I could really see as being easy to identify is Huntress and maybe Hag. Other than that there's Ripoff Jason and Ripoff Leatherface (this was intentional when first designing DBD. Funny when they actually got the liscense to Leatherface lol), "mud tree guy", Ripoff Silent Hill, Generic Killer Clown, and Generic Mad Doctor.
This was intentional with the design of Dead by Daylight: the killers are meant to look like tropey sterotypical killers from other horror movies. The thing is just that it would make it hard to make merchandise of the characters. All that being said I'd love an Ace Funko, especially if they could give him that shitface smirk that he always has instead of making the figurines expressionless like they always do.

Tapp main praising Tapp perks: I really love Stakeout. I know a lot of people consider it the "I'm too ######### to play Survivor" perk, but there's two reasons I like this perk:
The first reason is that it's honestly very easy to use. Against Wraith (and to a lesser extent Myers, Pig, and anyone who uses M&A) it does kinda suck but other than that getting into a terror radius is kinda always going to happen at some point. This means that for basically playing the game you get free Great skill checks.
Which leads to my second point: it rewards good play, and play that isn't just "looping the killer lol xd." If you can stealth well you can get a lot of value out this perk, and become a lot more impactful to your team as a result. It's just a great perk for doing objectives. If you can avoid a killer but still keep active this perk really helps you end the game quickly.

Here's a good meme I found on Reddit to illustrate the current state of Brand New Part.

Now it's balanced and it was a great decision of the devs. This addon shoudn't be in the game in the first place, so having a nerfed version of it isn't that bad.Agree that old BNP shouldn't be in the game, but new BNP is equally terrible. The skillchecks are about the size of Overcharge 3 and the progress you gain is negated by 1 kick with Overcharge or Pop Goes the Weasel.
It's not worth taking an addon just to lose it when you could just as easily take an addon that you don't lose and do the generator at about the same rate. Also RIP incomming Survivor Main accusations cause I have a Tapp icon.
I play Survivor quite a bit but I do also play Killer. I'd say about a 60/40 split. -
"Waaaaaaan I can't make 3000 mistakes and not get punished anymore waaaaaaan Behavior so killer sided waaaaaaan please nerf Freddy he's so OP waaaaaaan!"
-
It's entirely up to you. If you think you'll place the PC version actively as well as the PS4 version you can go right ahead. It's your money and we have no right to tell you how to use it.
-
Easier said than done. This isn't like Hex perks where the totems could just "not light up" before they're in use: this is a part of the level geometry that would have to be despawned for everyone unless they meet a specific condition.

Some of you may say "gen rushing doesn't exist" but it really does.Gen rushing doesn't exist, it's just that Gens in general are done so quickly when the killer doesn't have Ruin. Even discounting toolboxes and Brand New Parts and the likes, it takes 80 seconds to fully repair a generator if a survivor only gets good skill checks. (no Fails no Greats) A minute and a half really isn't that long, and generators don't even take that long at that. If a killer gets distracted by anything for a reasonable amount of time it's safe to assume that any generator that's a modest distance away will be completed without fail.
Ruin is mandatory because it turns a pitiful minute and a half into a more managable 2 minutes or even 3 minutes if you're lucky.
-
As cool as it would be you never want to add a mechanic that causes an important part of the game to look different. It would only serve to confuse new players.
I'm okay with making the Doctor's Shocks look different (as an example) as it's fairly obvious where that ability is originating from. But replacing things like the Trapper's Traps, Wraith's Bell, Huntress' Humming etc. could be seriously confusing to new players, and may give a genuine "pay to win" advantage to the game. (Beyond David's jet black clothing being impossible to see, as an example.) -
1. Remove survivor collision so they can all bodyblock the hook at the same time. Lolkay.
2. They'd need to texture and model (the bloody clothing does actually get a new model from what I can tell, though it's rather small) the bloody clothes for all prestige items. It's been requested countless times but would take a lot of time to make a specific group of people happy.
-
From an objective standpoint there's no reason for killers to be able to 100% bodyblock survivors in the basement. All it does is allow salty toxic ######### to hold games hostage when they lose.
I think the stairs could be made a little wider so that a Survivor could squeeze past if a killer just goes AFK on top of the stairs to bodyblock. You could still block them if you were actually in the game to do so, but you couldn't just hold the game hostage.
